Mystery Box challenge episode

There was a building reputation in the kitchen that you are one of the strong homecooks of the season. After winning the past 2 mystery challenges, you were extremely determined to do well and seek for a third streak. The mystery box today was all about italian cooking, a cuisine that you have been comfortable due to the close ties of your boyfriend being signed to an Italian team.

"And what do we have here with you today Miss Y/N" Matt Preston asked as he approached the work table together with George Colambris "You seem rather comfortable and in your own zone. Its like an ordinary Tuesday date night"

You gave a small chuckle with that mention "That's actually pretty on point of you to say as Tuesday is my date night with the boyfriend"

"Ah so maybe that's why you are so inspired because you are in love"George teased.

"Well I have to admit that there is a little pressure to do well in this challenge or my boyfriend's family will get mad at me"you quipped back a reply.

The judges suddenly leaned a little interested to learn more about your personal life, "So your boyfriend is italian?"

"He is not but he might as well be. He spends a lot of time there"

"It must be hard to not see him a lot since you are here competing" Matt says

"It's a price we are willing to pay. He has been supportive of my dream as I am with him" you gave an encouraging smile as you continue to chop the sweet potatoes.

"We hope to meet that boyfriend of yours because he is one lucky man because that dish looks delicious!" George says before they left the station.

Somewhere in Bahrain, Charles Leclerc is grinning upon watching the replay of the episode. He was beyond proud of what you have achieved as a contestant in MasterChef. He wished that he could do more to express his support towards you but you have an agreement with him to keep things lowkey for the meantime. It was a reasonable decision as he didn't want to overshadow your career but it was nice to know that you two are a private thing but never a secret.

He was so engrossed to repeating the boyfriend clip that he didn't notice that Carlos snuck up beside him.

"What are you watching there?" Carlos asked his teammate

"Oh its nothing" Charles says as he immediately exited the Youtube app "I didn't notice you there, you scared me"

"If you weren't too into your phone then you would have noticed me calling you" Carlos explained "What are you watching on your phone that got you smiling like that?"

"Nothing, I just saw an ad"

"Hmm sure an ad" Carlos was pretty sure that Charles was watching MasterChef but he couldn't care anymore to ask which country because there was too many so he decided to just let it go "Cmon Fred is asking for us, were late for a meeting"

"Carlos! Why didn't you start with that?"

Cake challenge

You were exhausted because you spent the early hours of the morning watching the Jeddah GP. It was a thrilling race to see Charles bag his first podium of the season so you can say that its worth it. Besides, you were able to talk to him after the race so it sweetens the deal even more.

Filming begun for MasterChef and the judges brought out balloons for the mystery box challenge.

"Your challenge today is to make the most imaginative and creative birthday cake that you ever had" Gary explained "The pantry is filled with all the cake flavors you can ever imagine so be creative and show us what you've got"

Baking has never been your strongest suit. It was all about precision and measurements as small increments can make a huge difference. Today, you were determined to do well and you wanted to use the podium finish of Charles for the cake.

It was a struggle to bake the cake, cool it, and pipe it in under 60 minutes. You felt the pressure getting under your nerves as your hands started shaking when you were piping the cake details with 10 minutes left. There was a sigh of relief when you finished just 5 seconds away from the judges calling the time.

There were plenty of beautiful cakes in the room so it was a shocker for you that the judges called you in front to present your cake.

"Judges what I have for you today is a three layer cake with the raspberry,almond, and pistachio with chocolate to seperate the layers and a lemon buttercream frosting."

"You told us you can't bake, that seems like a lie" George says as he cuts through the cake "Look at that layers"

"The layers are actually inspired by the italian flag, its an homage to the boyfriend. Its actually a cake that I made thinking about him" you explained.

"That is simply gorgeous. The cake is very moist and the balance with the flavors is that its not too sweet or nothing overpowering. Your boyfriend is a lucky lucky lucky man to be baked a cake like this" George complimented.

"Does your boyfriend cook?"Matt asked as he took a bite

"Oh God no. I have to cook or else the kitchen will be on fire"you laughed "But I can't drive so maybe that's his payback"

"You seem to show the beautiful dynamics of your relationship when you cook something inspired by him. I wish you two the best" Matt's genuine comment was a heartwarming moment.

Its unfortunate that you didn't win this challenge but you were able to showcase your support for your boyfriend.

Melbourne GP meets MasterChef

This was another challenge as you were elected as a team captain for the second team challenge. You were extremely nervous when you were transported with your team mates from the blue kitchen to an unknown location. It was even more nerve-wracking after you've realized where you are.

"Welcome to the Albert Park where the Australian Grand Prix is underway for this weekend" Matt introduced "Your challenge is to prepare two dishes: a pasta and a fish dish to be served to the talented drivers in Formula 2"

There was a little sigh of relief as you were dealing with the Formula 2 drivers. It was a lot of weight on the shoulder if you will be serving food to your boyfriend.

"The practice sessions will be starting in a few minutes. You have 90 minutes to prepare your dish and an hour to serve them"

All you know was that you started organizing the team to put them in charge of the dishes that you will be making today. You cross your fingers that the color red brings luck to your team today.

Meanwhile, the paddock was buzzing with cameras and Charles immediately noticed that there were some new film crews around the Formula 2 drivers. His eyes did a double take after he recognized the face of three familiar judges he often sees on MasterChef Australia.

"What's going on? Isn't that MasterChef Australia judges?" Charles quizzed

"That's MasterChef Australia, they have this team challenges and they will be feeding the Formula 2 drivers" Silvia answered as she was informed earlier that morning about the extra exposure in the paddock today.

"Why Formula 2? Why not us?" Charles whined

"If you want then you could go ask Ollie for food" Silvia suggested

That sets a lightbulb moment for Charles as he excused himself to talk to the young driver. He will not miss the opportunity to taste the cooking of his secret girlfriend and support her in doing her craft.

It puzzled Ollie Bearman to see that Charles has been looking for him once the practice session was over. He was even more confused by his request.

"So you want me to get you food?" Ollie asked "Doesn't Ferrari have a catering?"

"Its not just food, its the MasterChef Australia food" Charles explained without giving out too much information "I just love the show okay?"

"You can come along, I'm sure they don't mind" Even better.

So here is why you were genuinely surprised to see that Charles Leclerc is walking inside the MasterChef tent with a red and blue plate in his hand. He was grinning wildly as if he was a kid on a sugar rush.

"Ohmygod we are serving food to Charles Leclerc!" one of your teammates whispered.

"Hi goodafternoon! What's the dish for today?" he asked politely.

"Well we have a pan fried cod with a pea puree and then some green grapes some fennel over there and then for the pasta lemon ricotta and beet tortellini" you answered as the team captain "We hope that its up your liking"

Charles gave you that smile that seems to light up the whole room, "I look forward to it, thanks!"

Its moments like this that you wish that you could reach out for him but you understand that its not yet the time. Its nice to see the support that you have for each other even though its all in private and away from the eyes of the media.

"Goodluck on your race Charles!"

There was a smile on both of your faces as you both continued to go chase your dreams.

Season 2 shows us Sahed's life is a series of cages and betrayals growing more constraining each time. That he hasn't given up is impressive (but giving up would not be in his character). Anger and magic is basically all he has to hold on to, and I think we have yet to see if his anger at Tonny was misplaced.

Cage 1: the concentration camp that he grew up in.

I'm not sure exactly how long ago this was, but I'm guessing 100 years, which means Ah'kon have not had freedom for over a century. And what's the first thing we see he's doing (other than being a cocky brat <3)? Building a flying machine to get out and see the wider world. He's enticed to leave peacefully because it comes with leaving. And so first betrayal of trust in someone offering an escape.

Cage 2: the research center. I think we'll learn a lot more about this, but clearly he started thinking about it positively, hence the happy picture. My theory is that the giant wave was made by Sahed, and when he implies he's killed before, that is the event he's referring to. We know that Steinheimer died young, but Sahed doesn't seem quite broken up about the guy. Since he says he was haunted, it just doesn't feel like that would be the haunt.

Cage 3: the circus

I think it's clear that Sahed was an addition after the circus started. For one, I can't see Sahed really confining himself the castle, but also it would be hard for him to live as a fugitive. So he manages to escape, but needs refuge and meets Tonny. Tonny promises to give him freedom from Kalgratt and that he'll support Sahed's cause. But Tonny continuously makes ill-fated promises that even a casual understanding of their situation is morally wrong. I want to write something about why I think Tonny is not good, even if he does not realize it. But suffice to say, Sahed didn't get what he thought he would get from the bargain.

Adding a cut because it rapidly passes into fast pass zone.

Cage 4: the circus but worse

Now he's alone in a cage. And when he gets out, it's not really freedom from the cage, it's just walking room. Because while in theory Tonny is going to help now, the circus is turned against him. They're morals have long seemed suspect - very selfish and disconnected with how their choices might affect people outside the circus. Sahed and Julia are really the only ones still concerned with anything outside the circus.

The third betrayal is Julia, but this is different, because he also let her down, and because he knew he was in a position of power over her. This hearkens back to when he was the leader of his group of friends and led them into the research center. He doesn't know, I think, about her 1 year limit, so he probably thinks he had even more influence on her decisions than he did. Honestly, I think he gets too much blame from others on her decision. She wanted validation that Tonny deserved it because she wants to live. But Sahed delivered when he should have realized the consequences. He feigned confidence in the plan that he didn't have. Her turning on him hurts but not in a way he can get angry at her about, although I think he has a right to be mad if she really doesn't support his takedown of the research center.

Julia can give up in a way that Sahed can't. The only person she has to save is herself, whereas he feels responsible for the Ah'kon's treatment (even if he isn't). Still, Julia and Sahed share a sense of righteousness, and I don't see meek Julia lasting.

I am totally here for the shipping too, but I really love Sahed's character. I love how we start with Sahed as a potential villain (okay we knew he wasn't but Julia def thought he was) and brat, but as we learn more about him, his motivation becomes clear as an activist -- he's still a brat (affectionate).

Summary: After a strange night of helping Five and his family and learning about his family’s secrets, Y/n, Five’s coworker and now work partner, wakes up the next morning to a shocking discovery. Inevitably, he’ll have no choice, but be sucked into the family’s antics and problems. This one is longer….Sorry. 🌛

A/n: Since some people actually liked my idea for this, I’ll just continue to write more about this, and yes, a lot of this stuff will start to rear away from what happened in the canon. Steve Blackman, sleep with one eye open.

Part 1

When he wakes up, he’s faced with a blinding headache and sweat covering his body.

Y/n sits up slowly, the sweat dripping down his body, but he was thankful he didn’t wear a shirt when he slept. He checked the time and realized it was 3 am, making him groan.

He got up, turning the shower on as he tried whatever he could to nurse his state of dizziness and nausea for the next couple hours until he went to work.

He tried everything. He took a cold shower, he took some pain medication, he drank pepto bismol to relieve his nausea, he tried to rest more, and yet nothing helped.

He decided against calling in sick for work, a part of him wanting to talk to Five and discuss the missing person’s case, and then another part just wanted to see him.

He got to the building and tried his best not to think about the symptoms he was experiencing.

He started to become agitated. His exhaustion and headache becoming a bad mix in him, like he was mad, but he didn’t know at who.

He decided maybe an energy boost will try and relieve it. When he tried to grab some coffee, he accidentally knocked his hand into one of his coworkers, apologizing as he didn’t look in their direction.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to-“ a thud.

As he picked up the coffee pot, he looked in the direction that he heard the body drop, seeing that the person he accidentally knocked into was now on the floor, groaning.

“Oh shit, are you alright?” The man looked at him.

“Do you want me to get some help?” Y/n touched the guys uncovered arm, skin coming in contact with one another as Y/n gasps.

He feels the exhaustion leave his body, the man’s eyes roll back and he passes out on the floor.

Y/n quickly lets go, seeing that the area where he touched his hand was a light glow of yellow. He backs away from the man, looking around to see if anyone saw, and thankfully, no one did.

He got up, rushing to grab his belongings as he went up to someone, sweat still sticking to him as he was still hot and dizzy.

“Hey, can you tell Lance I’m taking a sick day? Thanks,” he rushes out to the lobby of the building, pausing as he felt a rush of pain shoot into his head.

He winced, grabbing his head as he stumbled a little, grabbing the attention of his partner.

“Y/n!” Five called out, almost tripping down the stairs as he basically ran over to him and grabbed his arm.

“Five? What the- where are we going?” Five turns to him once they’re outside the building.

It’s then that Y/n sees what Five fully looks like at the moment.

Sweat is dripping down his forehead, his eyes are twitching. Five’s shaking as he holds his partner’s arm, or maybe he was shivering. It was hard to say.

“You need to come with me,” Five states.

“What are you my boss now?”

“Something’s happening to you, and I know it, okay? You have the same symptoms as me, so I’m going to try and figure this all out before it gets any worse for you, okay?”

For the first time since they started working with each other, it felt like Five truly cared for Y/n. Which was strange and out of the ordinary for him. So, despite the voice that was yelling at him to yank his arm away and run away from him, Y/n nodded.

With that, they hurried over and got to a broken down building, that Y/n soon learned used to be their home in the other timeline.

When they got there, Y/n looked around seeing that some of Five’s siblings from yesterday were there, but not all of them. He saw Diego, Lila, and Luther there, but no Allison, Viktor, Klaus, or Ben.

“Wait, what’s he doing here, Five?” Luther asked, not bothering to cover himself up, even though was only wearing a g-string.

“He’s here because, oddly enough, he’s experiencing the same symptoms as us-“ Five glances over at Luther, “or at least us three.”

“What the fuck is happening to me?” Y/n mumbled to himself, his arms holding his body as he leaned against a nearby wall, staying away from everyone. He didn’t want to hurt anyone else.

Five looked over at him.

“Here,” Five went over and tried to grab his hand, but Y/n pulled it away.

“Watch the skin, I accidentally made Eric from human resources pass out when I accidentally touched his hand,” Luther, Diego, and Lila look over at him with wide eyes.

“Sorry, what?” Lila asked, trying not to look in his exact direction due to her own problem.

Five thought for a moment, trying to not fall over as his body swayed, becoming unsteady.

“Ok…” Five started, “okay, so, try to relax, calm your mind and focus on, you know, not…doing..that?”

Despite the poorly worded advice, Y/n did just that. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes, and tried to calm his mind as he tried to ignore the ache in his hands.

The sting slowly faded away, becoming less hurtful and more calming as he focused on letting his muscles relax and the joints in his hand crack.

He slowly opened his eyes to see Five staring down at their hands as he was able to hold it while not pasing out.

The siblings who started to come in, Allison and Klaus, saw the two at the entrance of the living room and silently reacted to it.

“Come on,” Five led him over to the couch, sitting next to him so he was now between the armrest and Five.

The siblings all argued and bickered with each other around the two, and as much as Y/n wanted to argue and yell at Five about the hell was going on, he just stayed silent, feeling Five lean into him as he fought to stay awake.

“Someone explain what the hell is going on here, quick?!” Viktor shouted over the others who were yelling.

“Well, Viktor, that’s what we’re all trying to figure out,” Luther started to yell at Diego and told everyone to not look at him, and up until this point Y/n hadn’t. But, as he did, he saw that his body was a lot hairier than a regular person, and since meeting him yesterday, he either looked like he pumped himself full of steroids or had a drastic change to his body.

“I SAID DON’T LOOK AT ME!” Y/n quickly looked away as Five shouted at him.

“Hey! Don’t yell at him, alright? You’re drawing attention to yourself by telling everyone not to look at you!” He groaned, his vision getting blurry.

He then sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

“Look, at least you’re back to your old self, the rest of us feel like someone injected motor oil into our veins,” that’s when Klaus perked up and admitted that he felt great, his voice only slightly muffled by the mask he was wearing.

Lila joined in on the bickering as she addressed her own problem, one that almost made most of them lose their heads.

Five dragged Y/n by the arm down to the ground, Lila’s laser just barely missing them both times she did it.

They then all tried to calm Viktor down as he started to power up, the house now shaking as Y/n fell back on the couch, head falling back against the edge.

“Relax, Kodiak Jack,” a voice emerged from the corridor as the last Hargreeves brother appeared, seemingly with a tail now.

“It was me.”

“I know you’re all too terminally emo to do what had to be done, so I made an executive decision and spiked your sake with the marigold,” Y/n scoffed, eye twitching as he wanted to rip him apart.

“Why am I not surprised?” Five shook his head.

“I know we just met—actually that’s exactly why I am mad, why the fuck did you have to go and spike mine? I’m not like you guys, I wasn’t born with this!” He gestured to his hands as he yelled at Ben.

“You had no right to do that, asshole!” Viktor shouted.

“Oh, trust me, you’ll thank me later. Even you, newbie,” Viktor grew even more mad at that comment, because it’s exactly like he said, he wasn’t like them, he didn’t want it.

“Yeah, or I’ll kick your ass right now!” He threatened.

“Oh yeah, now that I would love to see,” Ben sat down, almost on Allison, but she frantically moved away, not wanting to touch his tentacles.

Y/n couldn’t help but laugh.

“What’s with the tail?” Y/n snickered, making Ben turn to him.

“I don’t know, they won’t go back in!” They all started to touch or make fun of his tails and he started to say that he was feeling better than ever.

He started to rub some of the marigold onto his teeth, making Five walk up to him and snatch it away.

Klaus then explained how he didn’t feel sick because he didn’t drink in the first place, like the rest of them because of the fact he was sober and didn’t want to go down that path again.

“Wow, I’m both proud and jealous of you,” Y/n gave a small smile to him, making Klaus look at him.

“Thank you!” He pouted, happy that someone actually cared.

But all their heads turned to Viktor and Ben as they started to fight, and Y/n didn’t even both trying to stop them as he was enjoying seeing him get beat up. That and he just felt like it wasn’t his place.

When they stopped, Ben started to speak.

“Give me one good reason as to why we shouldn’t have our powers back?”

“Well, you gave someone powers who didn’t want or have them in the first place?”

“Yeah, and maybe because we ended the world three times?”

“I’m sorry?” Y/n sat up because of that.

“And saved it three times,” Diego butted in.

“Well, that parts highly debatable, Diego,” Y/n’s head snapped over at Five.

“I’ll explain later,” Five reassured, trying to calm his new partner down to the best of ability.

God, he hated him so much, but at the same time he felt the need to care about him just as much.

Feelings were rushing through Five that he had no idea how to feel about, and he didn’t stop thinking about them until Ben threw up on the carpet.

He offered the idea to go back to the laundry mat and grabbed his coat, still holding the marigold.

He placed it in his pocket as he hesitantly placed his hand on the other’s back.

“Come on, I’ll fix this, I promise,” Y/n looked up at him, eyes half lidded as he stood up.

“You know, this is the most I’ve seen you care about someone who wasn’t your family. And, you’re never this nice to me,” Five blinks, stunned as he doesn’t say a word, the realization of his statement hitting him.

“Just…shut up and get in the van,” Y/n grinned at him, climbing in as they all headed off.

When they arrived, they only found an address hanging from the rack as they debated their options.

Either it was all a set up, and this guy, Sy, was tricking them, or he was actually in trouble.

Either way, they ultimately knew that they would be leaving to go to the address anyway.

New Grumpson, Maine.

Diego got excited and unlocked the doors, to which Five was about to get in front, but Lila already called it, so he just decided to get in the back with Klaus, Allison, and Y/n.

Allison got in the middle row first, then Five, then Y/n, and then Klaus, causing them to be extremely close to each other.

So close, to the point where Y/n’s leg was underneath Five’s as he adjusted himself, barely making it work.

“FIRST MISSION BACK!”

“No, not right now,” Y/n mumbled, covering his ears as Lila clapped in the front.

“Why are you so loud?” Five groaned.

After a few minutes of driving, the “Baby Shark” song started to play.

“Can you please change the song?” Viktor groaned, covering his ears.

“Can’t, it’s stuck.” Klaus started to bob his head to the music.

They groaned, and accepted it.

An hour later, the same song was still playing, and Y/n tried his best to control his breathing. He was on the verge of throwing up, but he kept himself composed as he looked over at his coworker.

Five was looking at Diego with a look. A look that screamed that he was about to strangle him in his seat at any moment, while his knuckles clenched, turning white.

Y/n didn’t know what else to do, so instead he placed a hand on his knee, his thumb rubbing it ever so slightly as Five slowly looked at him. And the anger he was feeling before suddenly, and strangely, disappeared.

“Diego, will you change that song!”

“I can’t!” Diego shouts to Luther.

“Oh god, that smells disgusting,” Y/n grimaces, gripping Five’s leg tighter for his own sanity.

Five struggles to keep his composure as his stomach begins to churn.

“Oh, what, you don’t like my kale-kiwi-carrot-cabbage kombucha?”

“For the love of god…” Y/n mumbles, his head falling back as he shakes slightly.

“Uh, Diego..?” He glances at the rear view mirror.

“Maybe, uh, pull over?”

“Nah man, we’re making good time,” Diego glances at the mirror to look back at Five, not realizing that they were all nauseous.

“I could care less about the time and more of my need to leave this car,” Y/n speaks up, holding his stomach.

They all start to argue as Diego insists on not pulling over, throwing his pee bottle at Lila which ends up knocking off her hands and to the middle row at Y/n, who chucks it to the backseat.

Luther screams at Lila to open the window who accidentally ends up breaking it. And as Diego tries to grab the broken handle, he swerves the car, causing everyone to get even more dizzy.

Lila starts to gag, throwing up in her seat.

It triggers a chain reaction as Allison and Y/n start to throw up, Five soon joining in as Klaus freaks out.

Viktor’s bubble bursts as he yells, shattering all the windows.

Diego pulls over and shouts at them, telling them to stop yelling, puking, and using their powers.

He then begins to gag, exiting the car to hurl.

They talk about what to do, and Luther mentions something.

“It’s only another 13 hours to New Grumpson,” they all groan as Five leans his head against Y/n, whose own falls on top of Five’s.

They end up falling asleep as Lila and Diego talk in the front seat.

Mid conversation, Lila begins to hesitate, looking back at Five to see him fast asleep against Y/n. The same man he was complaining about just two days ago at the birthday party.

“I don’t know, what have you been up to Five?” Ben takes a swig of his beer as Luther climbs out of the ball pit, joining them in their conversation as he drinks some punch.

“I hate my partner. He’s such a dick, and sometimes I really just want to grab a number two pencil off his desk and shove up into his scrotum just to get him to shut up,” Five illustrates, annoyed.

“Wow, that’s really graphic,” Ben laughs, seeing the look in his eyes.

“Jesus, Five, you work with the guy, you just gotta suck it up, like I do. There’s some guys I don’t wanna work with, but I still do,” Luther comments.

“Yeah, well, my job’s different. I can’t get a new partner until we finally solve a case together, which if I’m being honest will most likely never happen,” Five rolls his eyes as he looks away from them, taking another sip of his beer.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, Y/n is the one that Five hates, right? At his job?” Lila asks.

“Yeah, why?”

“Cause he looks like he enjoys his presence quite a lot,” Diego glances at the mirror, his eyebrows furrowing as he smiles.

“Weird,“ he shrugs, not really thinking about it.

“Do you think he likes him?” Diego laughs quietly.

“I doubt it, he hates him too much to be able to ever like one characteristic about him,” Diego says, snickering.

“You hated me when we first started to like each other,” she states.

“No, I didn’t hate you, I was annoyed by you-“ she gives him a look.

“No, no way, Uh-uh, Five is a lot of things, but I think we would know now if he’s gay by now…right?” Lila shrugs, smiling at Diego.

When they arrive to New Grumpson, Y/n and Five both head to the phone booth, looking at each other before shoving one another out of the way, trying to get to it first.

“Move. Over!” Y/n shoves Five away, who yelps almost falling into the snow before he catches himself with the booth’s wall.

He glares at Y/n, who starts to call the town, looking for two people; Sy Grossman and Jennifer Grossman.

Five stands behind him, listening to him speaking to the operator, hearing that there’s no listings of either.

“There’s no Sy Grossman or Jennifer Grossman listed here,” Five announces, making Y/n roll his eyes as he puts the phone back down.

They agree that they need to split up and Diego walks out from behind the van wearing, what looks like, a harness.

“Oh my god,” Y/n laughs, making Five smile at him before it quickly drops as he looks away from him.

Five couldn’t figure out what the reason was for him to be feeling like this for him, Y/n, of all people. He was stubborn, and a prick, and way too comfortable around him, even if at times he did like it, a lot.

He shook the thoughts away as he heard Diego say it fits like a glove.

“Yeah, OJ’s glove…” Five nods, smiling again as they split up.

Diego and Lila go one way as Five takes Y/n with him, heading to an area with a fair going on.

Y/n looks around, seeing a cart selling hats and gloves for the weather.

“Come on,” He grabs Five by the upper arm, pulling him to the cart despite his disproval.

“What are we doing?” Five asks, letting himself be taken by the other man.

“Buying me gloves,” He smiles, technically asking Five.

“We’re doing that?” Five asks, pointedly.

“Well, you.” Five scoffs.

“Need I remind you that you are the reason I have these god awful powers now?”

“How is that my fault? My idiot brother was the one who spiked the drinks, not me?”

“Who was the one who asked me to go with him to the restaurant?” Five goes silent. Y/n puts his finger behind his ear as if to listen to him better.

“You got me in a box here, you win,” Five pulls out his wallet as Y/n picks out some black leather gloves, handing to Five as he pays for them.

“Thank, Fivey.”

“Don’t call me that.”

Y/n, as an experiment, pokes Five’s cheek, making sure that he was still safe before continuing on to put to the gloves on.

“Just seeing if I can still control it right now,” he responds and that reminds Five of something.

“Um, can you just keep a look out?” Y/n looks confused as Five moves to an area with less people, but still in public and balls his hands up into fists.

He starts to take a step and then step back, repeating this motion until Y/n starts to laugh a bit.

“What are you doing?” Five rolls his eyes.

“Why do you care?”

“Cause it looks like you’re constipated, Five,” Five stops, turning to him.

“What’s your problem?”

“My problem?” Y/n repeats.

“Why do you always seem to want to piss me off every single second we’re around each other?”

“Um, because it’s funny?” Y/n looks at Five as he looks like he’s trying to read him.

“Look, I don’t know what other ways to socialize than using my humor, and it’s gotten me this far,” Five chuckles, the cold air making his breath show.

“Why are you always such a hothead all the time?”

“I am not-!” Y/n raises his eyebrows as Five had stepped closer.

He backs down, relaxing as he comes face to face with him, but this time he doesn’t look like he’s threatening him.

“I am not a hothead, I just get annoyed by people who can’t seem to mind their business,” Y/n leans closer.

“Well, your business is my business now, thanks to your brother,” their inches apart as they look at each other, Five’s eyes change as he continues to look at him, softening.

“Look, I’m-“

“What are you guys talking about?” Diego comes up with Lila, who is still wearing her sunglasses to cover up her eye bags.

“Deciding which seasonal beverage to indulge in,” Five lies, smiling up at his brother.

Y/n’s lips had shut tightly as he looks down at the spot where Five’s lips used to be, his eyebrows furrowing as he tries to shake a thought away.

“Why’d he feel the need to lie? Is he-? No, there’s no way,” he thought.

“And?”

“I’m getting some muller wine for myself, and uh, Y/n, here is getting the cider,” Diego looks at, the still dazed, Y/n as he just offers up a smile.

“Okay..” he looks over at Lila.

“Well, we were just trying to decide that as well, I was thinking…” Y/n looks away from the two, looking over at the rides as Five continues to listen to the two bicker.

In the distance, there’s an elf, staring directly at Five and his family. Y/n could tell because as the elf realized he was looking, his eyes shifted slightly towards him.

“Five?” He nudges him, who looks in the direction he was looking in.

“That elf…he’s staring right at us,” Diego and Lila look.

“Who?”

“That elf. He’s been staring at you guys,” Y/n states, watching as his hand twists on the lever.

“Actually, maybe he just likes you,” Y/n snickers as Lila high-fives him, but Five doesn’t say anything. Now this was starting to worry him even more.

The man pulls the lever up, causing the rides to stop and everybody to turn their heads towards them as they start firing.

Y/n pushes Five in front of him, who is about to look back at him before he disappears in front of him.

“FIVE?!” Y/n keeps running, wanting to look over and try and see where he went, but he knows he can’t stop as the bullets fly past him.

He runs into the town, trying to find the rest of Five’s family.

A person with a shotgun comes up in front of him, causing him to pull out his gun and shoot, shooting any other people who had a gun pointed at him.

He hears gunfire closer to the outside of the town, causing him to run towards it, finding a Santa Claus running at Luther and two other siblings with two guns in hand.

Five soon blinks into the street, not realizing he’s getting shot at, but he’s quickly pulled down.

“Fuck,” Y/n tries to shoot, but he realizes he’s out of ammo. As the man gets closer to Luther, Y/n looks down, seeing one of the guys he shot move.

He looks up, wanting to try something with this new found power he has.

He leans down, tearing off a glove with his teeth as he touches the man’s hand, speeding up his death as he absorbs the energy he had.

With that, he starts to sprint towards the Santa Claus, running faster than he ever has before.

He catches up to the Santa Claus and grabs his face, pressing his exposed hands into it as they glow.

The gunfire stops, and Five peaks around Luther to see Y/n behind him, a yellow glow emitting from him as he absorbed the man’s energy.

His skin tightened. His cheekbones began to show as his eyes rolled into the back of his head.

His suit became looser as he exhaled shakily, falling limp under Y/n’s grasp.

He looked down at his hands and then at the man in front of him, seeing him now dead.

He took his life force.

He stares at the glow in his hands, watching as it fades into his skin, energizing him.

All the muscle aches he had before from running, the nausea from his sickness, all gone.

Five practically jumps on him as he wraps his arms around his neck, holding him tightly.

He closes his eyes and inhales, his scent filling his senses before he realizes who and what he’s exactly doing this to.

Five quickly pulls away and pushes Y/n.

“What the hell were you thinking?”

“Wha-?” Y/n looks over to the three siblings, shocked that Five just said that to him, and then stunned as they’d never seen Five hug anyone since they were kids.

“I saved your life, Five! What did it look like I was doing?”

“You could have gotten killed!”

“Yeah, well I didn’t! In fact, I’ve never felt this alive in my entire life,” Y/n looks down at his hands, watching as they glow as he turns them over, and then fade.

Five’s about to say more, but they both turn their heads as soon as they hear the familiar tune that brought them to the town in the first place.

Diego was driving Wanda, running the Santa over as he stopped just in front of Y/n and Five.

“Get in! Now! Go, go, go!” Everyone crowded into the van as Klaus spit up blood in the backseat, a bullet wound in his chest.

Five looked around, trying to find a spot to quickly squeeze into.

“Oh for Christ’s sake,” Y/n pulled Five in by the waist, seating him on his lap and closing the door.

Diego started to drive away as the other van door closed, a dying Klaus in the backseat.

Y/n looked back at him, quickly shoving Five to get the marigold for him as everyone started to yell to give Klaus the marigold.

Allison hesitated, stumbling over her words as she didn’t want to give him it, but decided against it as she couldn’t let him die.

Not her best friend. Not Claire’s uncle. Not her brother.

“I’m so sorry, Klaus,” she whispered, shaking as she poured the rest of the marigold into his wound.

It took a minute, but Klaus soon gasped to life, asking what did they do, and started to cry in their arms.

Diego tossed one of the reindeers he had for his kids into the back, Klaus holding it as he grounded himself from coming back to life.

Y/n let out a deep breath, his head hitting the back of the seats as Five’s did too, reminding both of them of the position they were in.

Five didn’t dare to turn his head to the side, and neither did Y/n, now terrified if they ever hit a bump while driving.

He started taking deep breaths, slowly trying to calm his mind.

Five wanted to shift, he wanted to reposition himself so he wasn’t directly on…him, but he couldn’t. He was stuck. Afraid of what the outcome would be if he suddenly felt his-

“What?”

“We’re taking you to your father, Sy Grossman..?”

“Who?”

In an instant they were in mid-air, Five didn’t have a seat belt though.

Y/n quickly wrapped his arms around Five again, holding onto the roof of the car as they flipped, Five’s head falling back as he passes out.

Y/n starts to lift out of his seat, with Diego trying to reach over and block Five from flying around the car.

Diego’s hand touches Y/n’s and suddenly, Y/n feels a spike of energy.

His hand comes crashing down against the dashboard, quickly gripping onto it as he stabilizes both himself and Five. His nails carving into the material of the car and leaving highly noticeable marks.

Unfortunately for him, the car comes crashing down, and when it does, he gets whiplashed by the force of it and is knocked out, hand still grasping at Five’s waist.

He barely even notices when two unknown people come and take Jennifer away.

Alright, I have finally gotten through the rest of Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 (twice) now, and I do have some thoughts. I am going to be splitting what I liked and what I didn't into different posts.

This one will be all the things I did not love.

Overally I'm not quite sure how to feel? While I'm happy with where they ended, I thought how they got there was extremely rough. And it's not as if I don't like a bit of drama, but the amount of stress and heartbreak in between was too much. Perhaps I should have kept away from the Bridgerton interviews because they really set my expectations high, for certain things.

From the delirious high of Episode 5 that really gave us everything, to the lows of the Whistledown reveal hanging over us in the rest of the season, I truly was befuddled on my couch at 2 AM. I expected Colin to be angry with Pen about Whistledown, but I truly did not expect for them to go into their wedding and then well into their marriage not having hashed out these wounds or accepting one another fully.

When Colin accused her of entrapment it was truly crushing, especially when he had so passionately denied to her mother before of this very accusation. Only now to throw it in her face and confirm all of her deepest fears and regrets. Even if he could not have reconciled her alter ego with Penelope I had hoped that he would assure her that he still loved her so that she could go into the chapel the next morning without feeling that he was only there out of obligation. When he said these things I was surprised that Penelope did not offer to withdraw from the engagement. Not only if he was so clearly unhappy but also I couldn't believe that she would marry him knowing this is what he thought of her. This would have been great for the official reveal when she is up on stage making her speech to the ton, where he was standing by her side to speak. Not literally, I understand the importance of wanting her to step into her power by herself in the spotlight, but it would have been nice to see her doing it knowing she had the full support and love of her husband.

Instead, she went up there believing that he would want to annul the marriage, and that she had done this in a way to secure her and her family's future without him--because she--and WE have been told this entire season that a woman has to look out for herself. How wonderful it would have been to be proven wrong--that she is not alone.

Don't get me wrong, I did feel in the way he looked at her during the wedding and when they danced that there is a clear longing and love for her despite their rift. And when he said their vows I genuinely felt that he meant them and wanted nothing more to be hers. It's clear despite everything, deep down he still wants that happy ending with her, but the show sure spent the entire time having them not talk about their feelings.

Again, I had fully thought that by the time they were married he accepted her, and the the entire plot revolving Cressida's blackmail would be him fully trying to protect and support his wife because he loved all of her and feared for her safety. Instead, it came off like he was protecting Penelope because she was a Bridgerton now and he didn't want this to sully their good name. Not even the line about him being mad about someone blackmailing his wife was enough for me. I will temper this once again with it was clear that of course he still loved and was beginning to understand her, especially when he made his plea to Cressida to spare Penelope.

Don't get me wrong, I love angst but I did not think it would drag on until the last moments of the series. And it's the kind of marriage that I also did not like for Season 1, where Daphne and Simon spent most of their time married apart. My stomach really dropped when I realized 'oh, we're doing this again...' And yes we did get a brief "honeymoon" period tho this is misleading when the actors promoted it because it took place during their engagement before the reveal. But even then we could not fully enjoy the moments when they were blissfully happy because Penelope's secret hung so heavily over them.

It is certainly complex all of the feels he's having--loving her, angry and betrayed by her, feeling deep sympathy for her while also envying her success. Penelope feeling like he can't love all these parts of her even if they're not perfect, her constant regret, not wanting to give up her voice--it's all too much for them and it was clear they did not have time to unpack all of this in the time they had. I feel like we needed at least one extra episode or two.

And to add insult to injury, we took up so much time panning back to Benedict's sexcapades. And look, don't get me wrong I was giggling like a schoolgirl when we got confirmed bi-benedict. But also I felt like the times we flashed back to him in the bedroom was too much. In fact I was slightly confused because the way it was shot/the same location made me think they were just returning to the same sex scene over and over again. As if the entire plot was happening over days and Ben hasn't been able to take off his shirt yet! Trapped forever in an endless night instead of it reading like 'this is several trysts that he's had.' I don't need these many scenes to understand that he's enjoying his newfound sexuality. Especially by comparison we got so little of Polin in their own season--both as a couple and promised spicy moments--they spent so much of it apart!

And then!! There is Eloise!! There's a lot I can say about Eloise, but the main one for right now is just how much her self absorption continues to shine through. The way she just treats her supposed friends like convenient audiences to talk to, and immediately ignores them when they have problems of their own. They way she cannot be bothered to truly learn or care about a single thing about them unless it affects her in some way.

Truly my flabber was gasted when she told Pen it was a good thing Cressida should take the fall, only to turn around and deny Cressida any help in her fake Whistledown paper when it would have solved all of their problems. Like, you know Cress is lying! Just help her out, you know she's desperate to save herself and it would also save Pen! Even if Cress took the mantle briefly and then retired by saying she quit because she is now unmasked that would have been ideal.

Instead she walked away and is now shocked when Cressida decides to talk shit about everyone including the Bridgerton family. Prompting Pen to come out of hiding (at your behest!!!) to save your ass AGAIN with Whistledown--which by the way Eloise was so very pleased and grateful for the next morning. And then truly said thanks for that sis, sorry that blew up your engagement tho lol sorry I won't try to help out with that or support you at all. Like. WTF. I could write essays on how Eloise continues to disappoint me despite my best hopes for her but you can tell I get a little ranty about her.

A little minor thing I am not sure how to feel now also is how Polin's son is now the Featherington heir. Like I know that's overall a good thing and I am pleased she won the baby race--it means Pen and Colin can now move into Featherington house and just live across the square and she's saved her mother and family. but also Pen knows that is a fortune she is claiming to be from her Whistledown earnings is actually stolen money--A crime that her now husband tried in Season 2 to return to the rightful members of the ton. I can't imagine he'd feel completely okay with that... unless this is another secret she is keeping from him? I dunno, it's very messy. But also! I would have liked for Colin and Pen to have spent some time actually traveling child free together on an actual honeymoon. (Did they even get to honeymoon????) But Colin immediately knocked her up their first time together he's too powerful I guess.

Anyway, I have good things to say too, I'll probably post about them later.

House of the Dragon, Season 2, Episode 1: Discussion

Overall, I did not like the episode at all.

First of all, am I crazy or was the whole scene at Winterfell and the Wall purely fanservice so that HOTD can gain the sympathy of old fans? I mean, it lasted like, 2 minutes, and added nothing to the plot. Cregan’s speech was amusing though.

Daemon didn’t let a single moment go to waste before he started acting like a king. Typical and at least consistent with his character.

Sigh. Preparing myself for the backlash I’m going to receive for this. I did not like the way Rhaenyra’s and Jace’s emotions were portrayed. Where was the shock? The agony? The horror? The pain? Too much silent grief for someone who just found out that their son/ brother was murdered. Hell, Rhaena showed more emotion than both of them combined and we saw her face for merely a second.

Good for my girl Alicent for finally getting some I guess, but the Alicole sex scenes were weak as fuck. No passion, no chemistry. It was robotic as shit. All that subtle tension between them during the first season led to nothing. Rushed as fuck and not at all what they made us think it would be. Provided absolutely zero context. Boring as hell, too. Thank fuck that it was leaked because it would have been a jumpscare. Nothing could have prepared me for it, it came out of nowhere.

Alicent standing her ground against Otto was surprisingly very good. I loved seeing her take the lead. And it was touching to see her light a candle for Luc, too.

Aegon II was very entraining. Refreshing to see him try to be a good king, actually care for his subjects and love his son. Distracts you from the fact that he’s still a stupid unseasoned teenager. Looking forward to some more character development on his part.

Now, what the actual fuck could Aemond ever possibly have to be angry about? Didn’t he just have his revenge? Who is he so pissed at?

Daemon and his murder cloak are the strongest ship in HOTD, which they should rename to “House of Misunderstandings” at this point.

I nearly pissed myself when Cheese’s super secret hidden path through the castle, that only he as a specialist knows, was crossing the fucking throne room on their tippy toes. Did they sneak back outside to meet Daemon the same way while leaving a bloody trail behind them? Are the writers actually insane? Who gave that shit the green light? Why does the door to Aemond’s room open by a lever? Is he Batman? Where the actual fuck was literally everyone? The guards? The servants? The ladies of honour? How was the fucking queen all alone?

And lastly, speaking of the queen… Oh my God. This was the most anticlimactic scene in the whole episode. I nearly fell asleep. I don’t know what’s Helaena’s deal, like is she neurodivergent? Is she just not fazed by anything because she has already seen everything play out in her head before it actually happens? It’s never explained and it makes it so infuriating that she looks just… concerned. Not traumatized or shocked, just perplexed and worried, lol. She pointed to her son faster than lightning. Did she just want all of it end as fast as possible? No idea. All the tragedy of the situation was removed. Luc’s death was much more impactful and shook the audience. This seemed so underwhelming and stale. And then Helaena quietly goes to her mother’s room, walks past her riding Criston like this happens to her every Tuesday, sits down, refers to her own son as “the boy”, and looks slightly distraught. Dian Doesn’t even shed a single tear. Nothing like the mourning woman gone mad by grief we saw in the trailer, though maybe we just have to wait I suppose. Like, lol okay. This was not giving like y’all promised it would. The only grotesque thing about it was listening to them sawing Jaehaerys’ head off.

The episode felt rushed as fuck and has severely reduced my interest in hating or loving any of the characters. There’d better be some top notch acting next Sunday or I’m dropping the show.

Theories on the Script Leak

Recently, JLH posted a page of the script on her story. To paraphrase, Maddie and Buck were having a conversation where Buck feels guilty about hurting someone at a basketball court but at the end it implies that he felt like he did it on purpose. We know that the character Buck hurts is male because that was what the script said. Now, I will go through the character (in no particular order) and discuss the probability of them being the ‘hurt’ character. Additionally, I’ll discuss possible plots and questions that could arise from this.

1) Chimney. To be honest I don’t think it’s Chimney because if it was, Buck would feel way too guilty to talk to Maddie about it and I feel like Maddie wouldn’t be as calm if Buck admitted that he felt like he hurt Chimney on purpose. I also don’t think they’ll have a fight this season because it is Madney’s wedding and they already had a major blow-out in season 5. At most, they might have disagreements on the wedding planning but nothing major.

2) Albert. If the actor wasn’t working on other projects, it would have been a more likely option than Chimney. Maybe Buck and Albert had a fight because Buck and Natalia broke up and then Albert started dating Natalia. So Buck feels betrayed and jealous because he couldn’t be happy in a relationship with her but Albert can. Or maybe Albert has a serious, long-term girlfriend that he plans to marry and Buck feels jealous that he’s not at that place yet, even though he is older. Or Albert says something that accidentally provokes Buck. In the script it also implies that there are possibly 2 ‘hims’, the ‘him 1” who got hurt and “him 2” that is mad that Buck hurt “him 1”. So in this case, Chimney could be mad that Buck hurt Albert.

3) Also a likely option. Buck has been aggressive to Ravi before in an attempt to haze him for the job. And I could see Buck being jealous that Ravi is advancing in the job faster than he did.

4)Christopher. No way in hell is it going to be Christopher. First of all, Christopher is a child, if Buck is trying to imply that he may have hurt him on purpose then he is a major asshole. Secondly, there is no conceivable chance that Buck could ever get mad enough at Christopher where he would be extra rough or aggressive with him and if Buck does hurt Christopher, he wouldn’t even think for a second that he may have done it on purpose because that is the last thing he’d ever do.

5) Bobby. I don’t really think it’s likely because I can’t really think of a scenario where Buck would get mad enough at Bobby that he would think that he hurt him on purpose. Even when he got Interim Captain, Buck didn’t hide his disappointment from Bobby and had a asked him why he wasn’t offered the job. Buck and Bobby’s relationship has certainly been fortified last season, so I think if Buck had a problem with Bobby, he will just straight-up tell him. There will be no Lawsuit 2.0.

6) Eddie. I think it’s most probably Eddie. I am trying not to look at this through shipper goggles and keep my expectations low but there are definitely reasons that Buck could get mad enough at Eddie where he would think that he may have hurt him on purpose. Buck could be jealous that Eddie is spending more time with Marisol or whoever he is currently dating. Or Buck could be upset that there’s a new development in Eddie’s life that Eddie didn’t tell him about. Or Buck or Eddie could have both said something hurtful to each other in the heat of the moment and now things are tense between them. Or Buck and Eddie may be hiding their feelings for each other and it’s causing more tension, more aggression and more fights.

I feel like Buck would feel comfortable being rough/aggressive with Eddie because they are close and they are peers unlike him and Bobby and Christopher and I feel like Buck’s emotions are more heightened with Eddie so it would be easier for him to get in that headspace.I also think that ‘him 2’ could be Christopher. Maybe Buck feels like Christopher is mad at him because he hurt his dad.

Now I don’t think Buck actually intended to hurt the person but I think he was definitely more aggressive/rougher than usual with this person. I really hope this plot is good and that the resolution is shown.

OKAY LETS TRY THIS AGAIN

Welcome To Ravenbrooks season 2 Theories before it comes out

Disclaimer uh- these are the ramblings of a mad man named Jack (me). Mainly so when it does eventually come out I can see what if anything I got right. Now lets get into it below the fold.

1. It's revealed that Jay Roth (Nicky's dad) is the one who died in Trinity's old house

We know in both the book and games and even the pilot, Nicky was the one living across from Mr. Peterson, but now it's Trinity's home. I think the grief of what happened in that house is why they moved

2. We'll get to see the rest of the Rescue Squad's parents

Pretty self-explanatory. I don't know what story purpose they'd serve exactly, aside from maybe how they react to their kids' shenanigans but it'd be really cool to see them. Especially Luanne Roth who I am currently head canoning to be neglectful in some manner (not necessarily on purpose) because of the lines about Nicky running away all the time and no one noticing he went missing.

3. We see a cultist in uniform

I think it'd be really interesting if specifically Trinity finds them mid ceremony or if bad things start happening to her family and she gets suspicious

4. The kids learn Mr. Peterson isn't "evil"

We know in the books that Theo is looking heavily into the cult, and he seems to be doing the same here. I think in Trinity's realization's she'll learn his real motivations for keeping them away, maybe even his side of the stories from episode 3

5. We learn what Trinity did

We have hints at what happened, obviously, but with the teaser image reusing the old photo of kid Trinity, l think we're going to learn what exactly happened and why it was so bad that they had to move towns

6. More nightmare sequences

From the hello neighbor franchise in general, we've learned that both Trinity and Nicky are prone to nightmares, and with the trauma they've gained from episode 6, I assume we'll get to see plenty other creepy cool nightmare scenes. (Seriously, just the maggots from episode 2 make me squirm physically when I see it. Every time)

7. Principle Abanante isn't dead

This might be clear to some, and yeah, it's far from the greatest stretch on this list but I think we'll see her again and maybe that she caused the school explosion

8. Delroy(and possibly Scout)'s investigations

I'm very curious about what Delroy was doing in the tunnels under the school, maybe doing his own investigations on the cult? Scout included to round out the Hello Neighbor hide and seek crew. Likely having to join forced with the current members of the rescue squad to stop a stronger force.

9. We see Theodore's brother in his "new form"

Not 100% sure if he became the Guest or the Thing, and I've seen good theories/evidence for both, but either way I think we'll get to see him with the knowledge that it's him.

10. We learn why Ivan acted the way he did in s1

He was more scared of just the mention of Peterson than anyone, and it's been bugging me since my first watch. I'd like to see if there's reason to his behavior or just general paranoia. Leaning towards the former, knowing this series.

11. Love triangle between Trinity, Nicky and Enzo

I'd really rather this doesn't happen. I hate love triangles so much. They're so dumb and useless and bad. But like I told kaydin during our third watch, I can feel it happening. It's breathing down my neck with the loud annoying sound of needless romantic tension.

12. The whole squad sits together at lunch

They escaped the basement together! The least they could do as friends is actually eat lunch together instead of Nicky and Trinity sitting seperate from everyone else

13. Nicky and Aaron's relationship is revealed

I'm really, REALLY hopeful that their friendship isn't retconned in the series. It was great motivation for Nicky to be investigating Mr. Peterson, and is also just generally sweet.

14. We see Aaron

Nicky was the basement for a couple of weeks. However, Aaron was in there for months! I'm eager to see how he is both mentally and physically. I feel like he's either gonna be much, much worse than Nicky or somehow way better.

15. Quentin becomes my favorite character

This is mostly on here as a joke. I'm not gonna lie, I know he'll be at least a favorite because he's my favorite Hello Neighbor game character. Like- the squeal I squealed when I saw his van and silly Hawaiian shirt was immense. I love him so much, and I hope he gets good screen time.

16. Nicky loses his bag

This is more just a- gut feeling? He's gained it as a sort of comfort item, it seems, and I feel like with the nature and badluck of Ravenbrooks, he's going to lose it. Bonus points if he has to choose between it or a member of the Rescue Squad

17. Mr. martaugh dies

Again, I have- no evidence for this. Yeah, he's in the teasers a lot, but like that doesn't imply he dies. Maybe I just really hope he dies because he's creepy /j, but yeah, uh- if it happens, I'll probably still be in shock even though it's on this list.

18. We see an on screen kiss

Tricky fans cross your fingers and pray, I know I will be. It'll probably just be a quick peck on the cheek, but I can just kind of feel it in my bones. Similar to the love triangle one.

And there you go! My predictions for Season 2!

As soon as it drops, you will probably see my reaction to it and a return to this list to see how close or far I was on these. (Spoiler tagged, of course) But until then, I will be patiently waiting, drawing, and rewatching the show too many times over (wonder if I can hit 50 watches before season 2 drops)

Vibrating over Daniel’s ending.

But, short Daniel-specific version:

I think we'll get Louis-as-Lestat's-agent inviting Daniel to interview Rockstar Lestat for his next book and Daniel salivating at the chance to do so.

(Very different tonally from what I was expecting, btw. No joke, I thought the falling books were going to be Lestat crashing through the ceiling to kidnap Daniel for an interview so he could tell HIS version of the story lol, but I can see why they went for a tearful Loustat reunion instead and how kidnapping Daniel wouldn't have worked with that, funny as it is in my head).

The good news is that I believe we'll get Daniel's snark throughout Lestat's book since that's been the framing device of the show so far (though, there's less of a "mystery" to unravel in Lestat's narrative than in Louis's so... who knows, maybe they will break the format since you don't need an investigative reporter with Lestat to drag secrets out, Lestat literally can't shut up). Honestly, I am SALIVATING to hear Daniel tear Lestat's narrative limb from limb lol.

The bad news is that I think, sadly, that if we dive right into 1-2 seasons of The Vampire Lestat, we won't be getting the space to explore Armand/Daniel and why that happened and if Devil's Minion happened in the past until a theoretical Season 5, if we follow the books and leave the end of TVL to go into Queen of the Damned, where that beat takes place.

IF we do that, sadly, it means we'll have to wait on the full explanation of Daniel/Armand.

HOWEVER, I also wouldn't put it past the show to actually do more interweaving of past and present than that. Have some modern stuff like Daniel/Armand/Devil's Minion in the present day while we're ducking in and out of Lestat's trip down memory lane to 18th century France.

GENUINELY, even as a writer, I don't know how they'll tackle the order of events given that means it'll be a LONG time before we get an explanation for stuff they set up in this season like Daniel's turning and part of me thinks they won't wait THAT long because the eagerness to learn this info is here now, and might not be there in a couple years, people might have forgotten by then.

That said, they also introduced Raglan James, the villain of Vampire Chronicles Book 4, the Body Thief, so that actually signals that they're willing to seed things very early before the pay-off, UNLESS they remix the order of the books significantly and Akasha gets pushed back.

It actually would kinda make sense to push Akasha back she is an EXCELLENT final boss and Body Thief is a bit of a come-down after her so I wouldn't totally blame them for swapping those two books in terms of the order we see their events in. But maybe not! They've been surprisingly faithful in a lot of ways. Regardless, I trust their discretion.

And finally, my hope when we DO finally get Devil's Minion, we're going to have the modern Daniel/Armand juxtaposed with the 1970s one, ending in Armand refusing to turn him in the 1970s, wiping his memory (perhaps knowing that vampirism would drive young Daniel mad, as it canonically did in the books, but old Daniel is made of sterner stuff now) and then we flash forward to the present and old man vampire Daniel and Armand and whatever THEY'VE got going on (hopefully: Daniel domming the shit out of Armand the way he always wanted).

So ok, I lied, I had more thoughts, lol!

As an older fan, I’m starting to get some major Sherlock-vibes from the show, in the sense that fans are coming up with all these big-brained theories to explain weak writing that we have to have faith will come to fruition in some future season. Why make the change to Lestat saving Louis? Why is Louis seemingly stronger than Armand?  Why have the Loustat reunion, only for Louis to leave and challenge the entire vampire world (despite the fact that he’s apparently in a better place mentally-speaking)? Why publish under Daniel’s name, when that would clearly paint a target on his back, especially now that he’s a vampire? What’s going on with Daniel’s eyes?

The whole “spite” thing seems like a clear mis-direct, but with only like 8-ish episodes a season and Dubai-era Devil’s Minion being 100% subtext so far, I don’t think the writing team can do DM justice. All the inconsistencies seem like they’re being written off because it’s the unreliable narrator show, when they’re actually just plot holes.

Like…I 100% think the writing team forgot makers can’t telepathically talk to their fledglings, and that’s why they had to add in the throwaway line of Lestat actually whispering to Louis in 1x02. There was no hidden reason we were meant to find, it was just inconsistent internal logic justified because Louis can’t remember anything correctly.

IDK. I don’t want to be a downer, but a lot of my hype for the show just kinda fizzled out with the finale. I'm still gonna watch S3, but I think I'm just gonna wait til the whole thing comes out this time.

So I never watched Sherlock nor was every in that fandom, though I did hear about some things after the fact. So I can't compare it to that fandom. But I can compare things to another book series that was being adapted fandom I was in which was Game of Thrones. And I think wrt things we are at least nowhere near that level of things and theorising. Yet.

Maybe because, unlike ASOIAF all the VC books are written and done. So that's a plus.

And see, the thing is? I can actually see a lot of methods to the madness of some of the things you've listed. Especially given the nature of how the story in the show is told through POVs. Where the issue comes into it is not ever knowing if what you are seeing is true, false, or just an interpretation of the truth -- as in Louis' POV of the play-trial rehearsal.

And I'd really like to know if how they ended this season is how they plan to end every season when a full book has been adapted? Something that wraps up the main character arc and story, but just leaves a host of other questions that, if we weren't getting a Season 3, would have never been answered. And who knows if they will all be answered in Season 3? As far as Devil's Minion goes, or Armand himself, I'm not expecting it to be now, given that Season 3 is The Vampire Lestat adaptation and Armand is a straight-up villain/antagonist in that book and Daniel doesn't appear in it at all, so anything we get with him will be extra anyway.

Now, as to whether Rolin Jones and the writers have a plan, Rolin says he pitched an 8-Season (or so) Arc to AMC before he was given the show to run. So at the moment? That is the only solid thing we have to go on right now wrt if there actually IS a play or not for the show.

But see (and oh boy, please forgive me as am I about to go into a big digression here), plotting a TV show is much harder to do than a book or a movie. TV writing is way more organic given that unforeseen circumstances can occur that you've never planned for when you go into a new season of TV production. Such as the studio asking you to split the first book you're adapting into 2 seasons instead of one, leaving you with only a month to rewrite the scripts. Or, a writer's strike and then an actors' strike a few weeks later, delaying production for months. Both of which happened to IWTV wrt Season 1 and then Season 2.

So organic things beyond the show's control are why it is much harder to plan out every little detail of a TV show in advance over multiple seasons. Take another AMC show, Breaking Bad. It's known that Season 2 of that show was intricately plotted out in advance but then, after that, the writers plotted and wrote the rest of the show as things came along for the remaining seasons, with no grand design to it -- even though the creator of the show, Vince Gilligan, knew way in advance how the show was going to end. And the show was able to get there, to that ending, without having a meticulous plan over seasons on how to do so.

I mean, the character of Jesse on Breaking Bad was originally supposed to die at the end of the first season. But instead, he lived through the whole damn thing. That was not planned at all.

And I think that might very well be the situation we have going here wrt IWTV. I think there are larger things they already know in advance about the show -- which books out of all of them will adapted into full stories vs which will only get references. Which characters in the show will make it into the show as full characters vs which characters will either be cut or combined with other existing characters (as Sam Ried revealed in his interview with Autumn Brown that that is going to happen -- that some characters will be combined with others). And what end point they want each of the main four characters -- Louis, Lestat, Armadn, and Daniel -- to be at when they get to at least Season 8. (If not Season 10, which is what AMC wants, 10 seasons). I think those are things Rolin and the writers very much know.

But I don't think the show has every single little detail plotted out for every little thing wrt how they are going to get to certain things. Not super far in advance at any rate.

I do think they'll purposefully put in seeds for later -- that they very much know they are going to need later -- though I think at most they do it one season ahead if it's a little thing. I very much do think that is what the things from episodes 1x02 and 1x03 very much were, since Season 1 and 2 were supposed to just be one season originally. Or the fight in 1x05 only being shown from Claudia's POV. I think that was also deliberate and they are very much planning on visiting it once again in Season 3, as they did in Season 2.

But I also think there are some things the show has not plotted way in advance and only figured out when they are writing that particular episode. Or maybe just decided to do that season as they were writing it, and not before then. Just like how almost every other TV show works, even ones that might very well know the ending they are working toward.

So I in no way think the show has figured and plotted out every single moment and beat of Armand and Daniel's relationship. Why? Not only because much of it happened in the past -- which yes I very much still think it did -- which covers 12 years of time, but because if you look at this clip, Rolin Jones kind of hints that they haven't plotted it out completely point for point even though there are some things they've thought and figured out:

So as far as Devil's Minion goes, I think Rolin and Co -- mostly Rolin -- has an endpoint for it in mind. But how they get to that endpoint is probably not planned out to the letter, super far in advance. And something they very likely just come up with as they are writing that particular season. At most? I'd say they've put things in this season that will be relevant next season and that's it.

So, I'm not going to say they can't do it justice. Not yet. I frankly don't have enough data to call that in a yes or no fashion since we haven't seen anything adapted from it aside from the 3-4 days Daniel spent in a cage, which is just the very start of how Devil's Minion begins. Basically one or two paragraphs. That's all they've really adapted when it comes to it at the moment.

And hey, it's okay if you feel down about all of this. If it helps, I'd say try and take a pragmatic approach to the show season by season, and if you feel it's better to binge it than watch it episode by episode for a time, that's good too. This is going to be a long journey after all.

Falling for him part 1

“Okay, so what are supposed to do now?” you question, readjusting in your seat in hopes of getting JJ to move.

“Tomorrow night we are going to the Crane house to look for the gold in a well that we found underneath the house.” John B replies, you shoot Sarah a look as soon as you hear the word “Crane”

“Wait Crane? Like Mrs Crane, the one who killed her husband?” your question was more directed at Sarah than anyone else, but JJ responds,

“Yeah, it’s weird. D’know why it had to be there” JJ mumbled, standing up from the couch. You finally felt like you could breathe, you could feel the places where your skin had been stuck onto his. He pulled a blunt out of his pocket followed by a lighter, you stared at him as he lifted it up to his mouth and lit it. The smell of weed instantly became all you could smell and taste, your nose twitched at it.

“I don’t understand why we are getting her involved” Kiara responds, reminding you she still doesn’t like you.

“I have a name y’know” you crossed your arms, staring at her.

“Its fine Kie, we can trust her” John B fires out, he stands up grabbing Sarah by her hand and walking out to the jetty that’s outside John Bs home.

JJ walks back towards the couch, and Kiara stands up brushing past JJ and walking out of the Chateau quickly followed by Pope.

“Don’t worry, she had the same reaction with Sarah” JJ said, grunting as he sat down next to you again. You hated confrontation, it made you extremely anxious, so you sat there playing with the bracelets on your wrist and bouncing your leg up and down.

“I don’t understand why she’s mad, she is the one that walked out on our friend group” You could still smell the weed on JJ, it stunk. You leaned back into the couch, letting yourself breathe for a moment.

“I’ve always liked you anyways” JJ responds, turning around to look at you. you heart skipped a beat at that sentence, you searched his face for any further explanation of what he meant. Did he like you as a friend or did he like you as a love interest? He stood up again, walking out the chateau towards the jetty were Sarah and John B are, leaving you to think about what he said a thousand times over in your head.

The words spun around your head millions of times, you were zoned out in a place of pure confusion and hope. You could feel your heartbeat in your chest, pounding like a drum. Your palms feel sweaty, and your cheeks are burning up. You quickly snap out of it when you hear the screen door open. You blink your eyes out of the trance, seeing Sarah walking towards you.

“Hey, how are you feeling about all this?” she questions you, sitting down next to you on the couch. You scotched over, readjusting your seating position.

The question took you aback, you had to sit and think for a while before answering.

Is this really what I want?

Am I willing to sacrifice for this group?

Yes, I am.

“You know, I’m feeling okay. I would feel better if Kie wasn’t being such a bitch but I’m okay” you responded to Sarah, giving her a smile to reassure you that you were okay. She smiles back, excitement decorated on her face. Your glad this made her happy, besides you need to get out of the bubble wrap at some point, right?

“I’m so glad, thank you” her voice was sincere, you leaned in for a hug, and she wrapped her arms around the back of your neck swaying you both sideways before letting go and jumping up from the couch.

“Come, everyone is sitting on the jetty” She reaches out her hand, and you grab hold of it and let her pull you up off the couch. You both walk to the screen door that leads outside, push it open, and walking down the wooden steps. You walk across the lush green grass, breathing in that familiar smell of the Outer Banks, one so nostalgic and homey. You continue walking down the jetty until you get to the end where the rest of the pogues are. Kiara is off to the side, sitting under the railing and up against a pillar next to Pope, JJ and John B are sitting on the only two chairs that are there. Sarah sits on the floor between John B's legs, you just decided to sit on the floor In front of everyone.

John B and JJ are talking about ways to get the gold out of the well, Kie and Pope are having a conversation but it’s too quiet to hear what exactly they are saying just muffled murmurs. Sarah looks exhausted and has her eyes closed, there is no one to talk to you. so instead you listen into what John B and JJ are saying.

“Okay so we need rope, so we can lower you down into the well” JJ adds, gesturing towards John B.

“I swear to god JJ, if you guys drop me, I’m going to kill you” John B responds with laughter, JJ cackles at his joke.

“Nah don’t worry bro, we gotchu” JJ replies, doing the Pogue handshake with John B. you watched as they do it the back of JJ’s hand hits John Bs palm, then John bs back hand hits JJs hand, followed by the outside of their hands hitting together and a snap. It simple and easy enough to remember, you start practicing it on yourself. JJ looks over and sees you doing the handshake with yourself,

“How are we going to transp-” John B was cut off by JJ

“Yo, hold that thought” JJ stood up from his chair walking over to you. You looked up as soon as you saw his feet in front of you.

“Let me help you” he insisted “here stand-up” you stood up, standing in front of him.

“Okay put your hand like that” you followed his directions, “yep, then like this and into the snap” he finished, watching your smile brighten your face up.

“See its easy” JJ cheered, looking into your eyes.

“Thank you!” you responded, laughing at his unseriousness. You couldn’t see it, but you could feel Kiara staring daggers into the side of your head, you could feel her negative mood fill the space around you.

JJ:

She’s so pure, there is just something about Y/N that makes her so alluding. Her smile brightens her whole face, it's warm and big. Her big eyes are so gorgeous, I feel weak every time I’m under her gaze. She reminds me of the sun, Warm and fuzzy, Bright, and happy like long summer days. She is the definition of summer, if summer was a person, it would be her. Her sun-kissed cheeks and freckles sprinkled all over her body. Her laugh made me feel like I was on cloud nine, sure I’d noticed her at parties and drunkenly asked to hook up with her, Kook Princess. But now, I’m really noticing her, Y/N Palmer, Pogue, a ball of hope, joy, love, and care.

But what would an amazing person like her want to do with a low life like me? Nothing that’s what.

Kiara:

Why is she still here? she doesn’t belong. Why is John B happily letting her into my friend group? She is nothing like us, she doesn’t care about any of the things we do. Can she not read the room, she’s not wanted here, and why is JJ talking to her? He is usually so protective of his friends and doesn’t just let a random girl into the group,

he hates kooks.

She needs to leave.

Y/N:

You and JJ continue doing the handshake until you can do it without thinking about it, your laughter filling the air around you, casting a shadow over Kiaras negative mood.

“There ya go! You got it” JJ cheers out, high fiving you. your hand wraps around his unconsciously, and his hand seems to follow, the two of you are now holding hands and for a split second you could feel something, it was like a spark of electricity a warm tingle connecting the two of you together. As fast as you held hands you both let go. JJ’s gaze was on you and you only it’s like he felt it too, the connection. You look up at him through your lashes, your cheeks turning pink when you see the soft smile on his face. You tuck your hair behind your ear, and you spend a moment together, like no one else was with you.

“Thanks for the tutorial” you clear your throat, placing a hand on your hip.

“Well, you gotta know it, you’re a Pogue now” the words light like a feather, he says it with meaning and care. You cover your face with your hands, you feel embarrassed at how red your cheeks are right now.

You take your hands away from your face and turn to your left eyeing the empty chair JJ once sat on. Theres no way you’re sitting on the floor again, you turn back to JJ and flash a big smile, he looks at you confused but you let him figure out what your about to do. As soon as you see the smile on his face and the shake of his head you bolt towards the chair, JJ is fast behind you pulling at your arms. You manage to be the first in the chair, but JJ pulls you of it sitting down on it. You laugh as your body hits the floor, you pull at his legs trying to get him off the chair, but its no use he is too strong and holds himself onto the chair. You give up, crossing your arms and giving JJ a daring look.

You could feel everyone’s confused expressions on you, it’s understandable you and JJ are acting like you’ve known each other for years. And to you, it feels like you have. But the truth is you have barely spoken to him before, only given him the finger when he drunkenly asked you to have sex with him which you always refused to. So, you really don’t know him, and he doesn’t know you, but it feels like you do, it feels like you and him are soulmates, your hearts beat as one.

“JJ please, let me sit on the chair” you plead with him from the floor. He looks at you a smirk lines his lips.

“Or we can share” he proposes, tapping his lap. You look at him, stunned. Did he really just invite you to sit on his lap? Or are you just imagining this?

“No thanks” you respond, his smile drops, replaced by an offended look. You lie down on the planks beneath you, trying to gather your thoughts on what the hell just happened.

You are in the back of the twinkie, and John B pulls up to an old house. He starts going through a checklist of items,

“You guys got rope?” John B asks,

“Got it” pope calls out,

“Grappling hook?” John B continues,

“We don’t have a grappling hook, were not batman” Pope replies, to which everyone bursts out into laughter.   

“Pulley?”

“Check”

“Dark clothes?”

“Got it”

“Flashlights?”

“Check”

“All right, good” John B finishes his list. “Were ready”

“let’s go” Kiara calls out.

“Let’s go get rich guys” JJ jokes, which makes you whip your head around to look at him.

“Yeah, hell yeah” You respond, slapping JJ with the back of your hand. John B gets out the twinkie, walking around the front and to the side of the van

“Let’s go boys… and girls” Kiara says, in a weird tone. John B slides the door open, everyone is about to get out before John B stops everyone.

“Wait, wait, wait.” He continues, “I wanna say thank you, guys. Seriously. It means a lot to me that you’re here tonight”

“Always” Kiara returns, looking around at everyone, but her eyes skip over yours. Your head starts spinning, you still don’t understand why she is acting so sour towards you. your anxiety starts to spike, making you feel nauseous and dizzy.

“Of course, man” Pope says to John B, doing the handshake you had learned before with JJ.

“My man” John B says,

“Alright, are we done with this circle jerk?” JJ interrupts the moment, “Can we go do this?” everyone rolls their eyes at him, but you can’t help but smile at his joke. Everyone hops out of the van, Pope, Kiara, Sarah, JJ and then you.

“Let’s go get the wheat out of this water” Pope says,

“Weed? I’m up for weed” JJ bounces off from pope,

“Wheat. I said wheat.” Pope replied, pronouncing his words.

The group made their way over to the stone wall that is out front of the Cranes house,

your heart is thumping in your chest.

First Sarah goes, you watch where she puts her foot and how she climbs up. Kie follows after her, doing the same thing Sarah did. John B and Pope go next, now it’s just you and JJ on the other side of the wall. You walk up to the wall, and asses it trying to find where the best spot is to put your foot. You find a nice place and stick your foot in it, pulling yourself up. But as you were doing so, it was almost like you blacked out for a second, your vision went blurry, and you couldn’t see what was in front of you. you let go of the wall and fell backwards, landing on the grass in front of the wall. Your head hit the ground pretty hard, you felt like the world around you was spinning.

“Oh shit! Guys she fell!” JJ called out, hoping the pogues hadn’t gone too far already. He rushed over to you, sliding down onto the floor next to you. He put his hand on your forehead and brushed your hair back off your face, his eyes checking over your body to see if you were badly hurt anywhere. His hand shakily hovers over your body. “Shit, I don’t know what to do! John B!” JJ yelled out again, his eyes frantic still trying to see if you had broken anything. “It’s okay, you’re okay I can’t see anything wrong” his head was hovering above yours, his hand cupping your cheek. You look at him, his face is drawn with worry.

“Okay, I’m fine I just hit my head” JJ moves back, as you sit up. He is quick to be back by your side.

“Wait you hit your head?” He forcefully moves your head, so the back of it was towards him.

“JJ what the fuck is going on bro?” John B yelled from the other side of the wall.

“Dude, she fell! I’m Just making sure she’s okay!” he yelled back, his hands searched your head looking for any cuts on it, he was gentle, moving your hair out of the way, and carefully searching through it.  

“Hurry up!” John B called out again, sounding impatient.

Shit. You’re causing a scene and making everyone wait you can imagine Kiara and what she is probably thinking right now.

Your breath quickens.

“JJ I’m fine” you turned your head around to look at him, his hands still in front of him. You started to stand up, but JJ stood up before you could

“Wait are you sure? Let me help you” he grabbed your arm and pulled you up. When you were standing his hand fell down to you hand, his fingers intertwined with yours.

“J, I’m fine just help me up” you walk over to the wall, letting go of JJs hand and putting your foot in the same spot it was in before. Your arms and legs felt like jelly.

Your hands started shaking.

“Can I put my hands here?” JJ asked you, his hands hovering over your waist. You looked down to where his hands are, you pushed his hand into your waist

“Yeah, and then push me up” both his hands tightened around your waist, you hoisted yourself up with JJs help. You knew that you could have done that yourself but because you fell you were scared to. You were sitting on the wall, and then jumped down. JJ was quick behind you, he jumped down standing next to you. you looked up, your eyes met with Kiaras. Her face was twisted with anger, she rolled her eyes at you.

“You good?” John B asks, hitting your arm.

“Yeah, I’m fine, I just fell” You dusted the back of your shorts off, Kiara scoffed at you.

“Okay let’s go, operation liberation baby” JJ’s voice filled the air, you heart is still racing in your chest. Everyone went off into the heavy bush of the Crane house. You waited to go so you could follow everyone. JJ waited back with you, it felt like he knew something was up. You walked with him, your arms touching, in a way that kept you grounded and reminded you that you were safe. The group came to a stop near the house, but still a bit away from it. All of a sudden, a light switched on.

“Shit!” Pope and Kie called out,

Your heart was bouncing out of your chest.

“Flashlights! Flashlights!” Kie warned everyone.

You switched yours off.

“Shhh!” John b hushed everyone loudly. You all crouched down on the floor.

“Okay, so she has motion sensor lights” Pope whisper yells.

“We could uh… move really slowly, maybe?” JJ inquired,

dumbass.

“That’s not how it works” Pope replies

“Oh, shit. Let’s throw a rock at it” JJ continues in full confidence.

“What?” you said, looking at JJ.

“That’s a really good idea. Let the axe murderer know that were here” Kiara prods at JJ.

“Well do you guys have a better idea?” JJ questions the group.

“Literally anything but that” Sarah responds, you giggle at her.

Suddenly an idea popped up in your head. You question whether you should say it or not, but your mouth moves quicker than your thoughts.

“What about the breaker? In the circuit box on the porch” everyone’s eyes fall onto you.

“We used to play hide and seek here as kids remember?” you looked at Sarah, and she nods at you.   

“And if we were brave enough, we’d go all the way up to the porch” you pause, “I’ve seen it”  

“No, no. You’re not going in the house alone” JJ warns you.

“Crain chops people into pieces” John B contributed.

“If you believe that, but she like what, 85?” you respond

“Yeah, somethin’ like that” JJ replies

“She’s probably barely still kicking” you answer back at him

“Here. I’ll go with you” Sarah says to you.

“I’ll go to” Kiara seconds onto her.

“We’ll wait for your signal” Pope voiced.

“Okay, cool” Sarah whispers.

You go to stand up, but JJ grabs your hand, you turn to look at him. He gives you a worried look, but you shoot him a reassuring smile and continue standing up. No words were used but you knew exactly what he was trying to say. Before you could even make your way to the porch John B yelled out,

“Hey! Be safe” John b said,

“We will” Sarah replied, you walked in front of Sarah and Kiara and led them to the porch.

You continued walking through the overgrown grass, and trees.

“She must have a generator plugged into the main power supply” Sarah breathed out from behind you, dead leaves and sticks crunching underneath your feet as you walk. You found the front porch and started walking up the stairs.

“Shh…” Kiara hushed the two of you as you walked up. The stairs creaking underneath you. you shinned your flashlight onto the breaker. Sarah stood next to you as Kiara opened it as quietly as she could. When she opened it, you were met with a bunch of wires and electrical stuff.

Your breath shortened.

“Shit, where are the breakers” Sarah called out.  

“What is this?” Kiara questioned.

“No, no, no, no, no, no.” You panicked looking at what you thought was the breaker box.

“Shit” Kiara lifts her torches light, following a wire “It goes inside” she traced the wired up to the roof.

You walked over to the door and gently pulled the first door open. It was like a weird, barred door, like a jail cell. It screeched as you opened it, then the main door that leads into the house. You twisted the doorknob, and it sounded like the paint was causing it to stick as you shoved it open.

The three of you tiptoed inside, following the wire that was on the roof. The house smelled of dampness and dust, the walls have photos of a family, you assume its Mrs Cranes family. There are bookshelves everywhere, top to bottom filled with books. You wonder how does someone even manage to end up with so many, she practically has a library in her home.

You continue walking through the house, you walk into a sitting room, and a cat yowls at you before scurrying away. Kiara points her flashlight up at the roof,

“Hey” she whispers, her flashlight was on the wire you’ve been following.

“Yeah, yeah.” You whispered back. You walked into another room following the wire across the roof, and then down the wall to where the breaker box is. Once you found it there was shared gasps of relief and soft chuckles.

“All right” Kiara breathed out, she wrapped her finger around the switch, carefully pushing it over to one side, the light outside didn’t turn off, so she went to the next one and switched it to the other side. With a click, the light outside turned off. You, Sarah, and Kiara took a deep breath out you did it! Now all that the boys had to do was get the gold out of the well.

Tommy and the daddy kink joke. I want to first say I had NO issue with this moment and this scene, and let me explain further okay? Some of what I have to say may lose me some followers, I don’t know, but here we are.  

I don’t know what’s the best order/way to say this, but I’m going to try to make sense. I'm putting the rest under the cut because this got long.

In the scene Tommy checks in with Buck to see if he’s really okay, because he can tell Buck is shaken. Tommy listened to Buck's concerns, was open and vulnerable right back, and only after that did Tommy make a daddy kink joke. Plus, Buck was already sliding into flirtation and he was the one to bring up daddy issues. So in turn, Tommy was trying to lighten the mood further, because who doesn’t after something heavy? I know this whole episode was A Lot, but try to look at this scene on its own. 

I guess as a reminder Tommy and Buck have been dating for probably a few months now. The timeline in this show is always a bit fucky, but still. I doubt this kind of humor is “out of the blue” when it comes to Tommy for Buck. 

Now daddy kink may not be everyone’s thing, and that’s really okay. As far as kinks go though, frankly I’d say daddy kink is not the wildest thing out there. I’d say it’s fairly mild. I also want to point out and say that both Buck and Tommy admitted to having daddy issues. Buck does have dad issues when it comes to his biological dad, Mr. Buckley, but not Bobby. We all know Bobby is a father figure and is like a dad to Buck, and Buck knows this as well. (However, having dad issues and having a daddy kink are two separate things.) 

Buck is a grown man. He’s 32 or 33-years-old and has experienced a lot in his life. As we all know, he’s had a lot of sex in his life, and it really doesn’t matter that before Tommy it was only with women, he’s still had a lot of sex. In season one he was known/seen as a player. As another reminder, Buck already has experience with kinks before. In seasons 1 and 2 we were shown Buck having sex in public places, so exhibitionism, multiple times. In season 6 Maddie learned that a cock ring cutter was in Buck’s kitchen (which, Buck why). Even just based on those two things, it’s not hard to assume that Buck has experimented with other kinks as well. 

Again, Buck is a fully grown adult with experience. I can’t imagine Buck would be offended by Tommy having a daddy kink (to be clear I think Tommy wants to be called daddy by Buck, but yeah, we all understood that). If he did, Buck would not be afraid to say “That’s totally cool, but it’s not really something I’m into. Let’s explore other things?” I know we haven’t gotten a lot of Buck and Tommy this season (on screen), but what we have been shown of them as a couple, all I see are two adults being open, honest, and caring about each other. I see two adult men working on having good communication in their relationship. 

Now before watching this episode I had seen some spoilers because I am weak. Still, what I had seen was a - surprising amount of people jumping at Tommy, mad at him for “saying an inappropriate joke.” I get that not everyone is a fan of Tommy. Some just don’t vibe with him and that’s valid. Some people just aren’t into Buck/Tommy and that’s okay too. What I don’t get is viewing Tommy’s joke as being inappropriate. I’ve already explained earlier why, but let me add that if we find the joke and the timing of it to be inappropriate somehow, well then we all would have to say the same thing about Eddie. 

Remember when in season 6 Buck woke up from his coma after dying and the first thing Eddie said to Buck was “bzzt bzzt”? If we’re going to judge, then we’d have to label that as inappropriate as well. Or is it okay because 1) it’s Eddie, and 2) idk it’s gallows humor and that is okay but kink/sexual humor is not?? Eddie is the king of “inappropriately” timed jokes, the “bzzt bzzt” is not the first, and we still love him for it. 

Again I’m not saying you have to like Tommy if you don’t, and I’m not trying to convince those that already don’t to like him. What I’ve just really disliked (understatement) seeing in this fandom - whether from people I follow or just seeing things through the grapevine, so to speak - are people tearing Tommy apart at any opportunity, predominantly because these people are Buddie fans and hate seeing Buck with any other man that isn’t Eddie. 

For me it’s been disheartening and frustrating to see people tear not just Tommy apart, but Buck/Tommy apart when all we’ve been shown is Buck being happy and at ease with Tommy in canon. I don’t know man, but it sucks that for such a short time we were all so happy that Buck is canonically bi, but so quickly lost sight of this monumental thing in the media and 9-1-1. So quickly people just tore into and nitpicked the hell out of Buck/Tommy and Tommy, looking for anything to point at and claim “this is why Tommy is bad for Buck” or “this is why they won’t last.” Like damn. 

At this moment people are just once again trying to tear Tommy apart for making a sexual joke and shouting that this is somehow a red flag. Like????? That is 1) woobifying Buck, making him out to be some young and innocent child that needs to be protected from the adult gay man, and 2) really blowing things out of proportion and making all of this a Thing when it’s really not. 

I keep repeating myself but you don’t have to like daddy kink, but please don’t treat Tommy as if he’s made some massive moral or ethical failure or something. As if Tommy is some gross and deviant gay man. Tommy was being supportive of Buck, and then made a kink/sexual joke to lighten the mood because he was matching Buck’s tone and energy. I know the cut was quick, but we saw that Buck, from the side, was smiling at Tommy’s comment. 

I need to restate too that Buck and Tommy have been dating probably for a few months at this point. It’s safe to assume they’ve been having sex during that time, and already exploring kinks because they’re two consenting adults. Buck is not a delicate flower clutching his pearls at the thought or mention of daddy kink. Once again just take a look at Bucks sexual history. IF he wasn’t into it, Buck is fully capable and comfortable with Tommy to express that. Reiterating that the reactions I’ve seen are infantilizing Buck, and trying to make a monster out of a gay man. 

*sighs* I don’t know guys. I think a lot of this is a culmination of people just - straight up hating Buck/Tommy and Tommy, and looking for any chance to tear either one of those things down. Canon has given no indication that Buck and Tommy are some endgame, I - a Buddie shipper, but also multishipper - can see that. I’m aware of it, and so are a lot of people who are just trying to enjoy Buck/Tommy while we have them. Yes you don’t have to like Buck/Tommy, but damn you don’t have to claim “this thing is a red flag” when there have been none in canon. You don’t need to twist something that was never bad into something bad, because you don’t like a character and a ship. All we’ve been given and shown is Buck being happy and more at ease with himself and with Tommy. Stop looking for malicious things when there are none. 

Lastly, is it the fact that it was a daddy kink joke that put some of you off, or was it merely that Tommy made a sexual joke to lighten the mood, matching Buck’s own tone, that put you off? Or both? Something to think about. 

TL;DR Watch the scene again. Tommy was simply matching Buck’s flirtatious energy, and making a joke to help lighten the mood. Tommy having a kink, a daddy kink in this case, is not a crime or harmful to anyone, let alone his boyfriend Buck who is a grown adult. People can dislike this canon ship and Tommy as a character, but please stop trying to vilify and tear apart either one because - as far as I can tell where the hate is coming from - you hate that Buck is with another man that is not Eddie.   

I already have certain things blacklisted, but I’m probably going to have to unfollow some folks because I just don’t want to see the kind of condescension and hate I have been seeing anymore on my dash. I have a feeling it’s only going to get worse over this hiatus. Block me or unfollow me if you need to as well.

Plot Holes in High and Low We Need to Discuss

Trigger warnings before you start reading, this ramble posts contains spoilers for the movies, cuss words, mentions of character d3aths, mention of SA that happens to a character, and other violence and cr!me associated with the H&L franchise. Please don't read if you do not want to see any of these.

Anywaysssas as you can tell by the title of this post and this screenshot, we are talking about plot holes in the High and Low franchise that we need to talk about because they BUG THE SHIT OUT OF ME.

I would like to start by saying that I do love this franchise, it is my everything. It's not like I have anything bad to say about it, I love it as it is, but some of the stuff within the franchise definitely could've been more thought out. It could've been worse! So I am thankful it wasn't bad but there are some things I wish the writing team did a little differently.

Also, I do attribute a lot of the plot holes to 1) the creators not being entirely sure whether or not they would get a green light on more movies, 2) trying to make sure the movies made money (it's a business unfortunately and not just art), and 3) High and Low is a multi-media franchise so some stuff is probably explained in the mangas, TV shows, games, etc. I will contradict myself and discuss this more in detail as we keep going.

These are in no particular order, just what comes to mind first

S.W.O.R.D Era

1)Noboru and Miho's story

I have beef with whoever on the H&L writing team thought that condensing the 2 seasons of Story of S.W.O.R.D into Road to High & Low was a good idea. "It's both seasons condensed into one movie" THAT'S A FUCKIN LIE. So much of what is in the shows is cut out from the movie.

Tell me why I learned here on Tumblr that Noboru actually spent a while in a coma in the hospital after getting body slammed by a Kuryu car? And then Cobra and Yamato had to do the "IF YOU DIE I'M GONNA BE SO MAD AT YOU" speech you always see in Asian dramas to get Noboru to wake up?!

And tell me why I learned from a fanfic on Wattpad that Miho isn't dead?! She literally comes to visit Noboru while he's in the hospital. Road to High & Low frames the situation to make it look like Noboru goes to beat up Miho's SA perpetrators after he finds he d3ad in her apartment. Then when I brought this up a couple weeks ago the Discord besties told me she broke up with him through a letter😭 A LETTER GIRL?! HE WENT THROUGH ALL THAT FOR YOU! IF I WAS YOU I WOULD'VE KEPT HIM. NOBORU. GIVE ME YOUR HAND IN MARRIAGE PLEASE GOOD SIR💍 (I'm completely joking I don't think anyone is entitled to another person's feelings, love, affection, etc. I'm just delusional because I love Noboru and Keita Machida)

Then I learned last night from Discord that Miho needs serious therapy because she was working for Doubt and it was addressed in season 2 of the show. Like HUUUH?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!

I do think the storyline between them as a couple and their stories individually definitely could've been explored and explained more. It was probably explained better in the show than RTH&L but I don't have access to the show so idk... which brings me to my first contradiction!

LDH AND EXILE TRIBE PLEASE MAKE YOUR MEDIA MORE ACCESIBLE GOSH. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SUB IT THAT'S FINE AT LEAST MAKE IT EASIER TO FIND SO THAT WE CAN GET FAN SUBS OR I CAN JUST WATCH THE RAW FOOTAGE AND PRETEND I KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING. There's so many films like the 2 DTC films, the Mighty Warriors film, the shows, even the manga that a lot of us don't have access to😭 Yes this franchise is multi-media but at least make the media accessible😭

2) Mighty Warriors working with Doubt

In the first and second High & Low movie MW and Doubt work together... AND THAT LITERALLY DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. Last I checked Mighty Warriors don't fuck with tr@ffickers in general so I don't even know why this happened.

And last I checked, MW rescued Sarah from Doubt so why would they work with Doubt when one of their members was literally a Doubt victim? That just doesn't make sense to me. Like yes the MW tend to just take up whatever whack-ass jobs for money they can get considering they fought with literal children (Oya and Rude Boys. I'm like 99.9% sure the Rude Boys members were all 16-19 and that is the age of children. Smoky might've been 20-22 which is not exactly a child but he's still young compared to the MW who were all mercenaries and in the military before they were musical bandits alluding to the fact they are older) but you would think that people who claim to have a club that is a utopia with music that is supposed to impact people positively and save their lives just like music saved the MW members' lives, they would have more moral and standards than to work with Doubt.... but I digress.

3) The alliance with a foreign mafia

This one I can kind of understand but also can't.

I understand that MW take up whatever job they can to make money. It's said directly multiple times in the movies by a MW member that there is no use doing a job for someone without getting paid so they do a lot of stuff just for the money. I also understand Doubt take whatever job pays them but also benefits their tr@fficking business. Hence why they took this job because not only were they getting paid by Lee who runs the Korean mafia but they could kidnap women in the S.W.O.R.D district which worked in their favor.

What I can't understand though is how this alliance even came to be. Hear me out. MW and Doubt will probably do whatever to get money, but where did the trust come from? Like how did they trust that a foreign mafia of all people would uphold their deal and pay them? Was it because Kohaku was made the front-man/face of the plan? Like did they believe that it would be fine because Kohaku was the one "leading" even though it seemed like Lee was pulling a lot of the strings? DOES KOHAKU EVEN HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BE PAYING EVERYONE?! I SWEAR EVERY TIME WE SEE HIM THAT MAN IS JUST LAYING ON A SOFA IN A JUNKYARD! WDYM DOUBT AND MIGHTY WARRIORS BELIEVED THIS MAN WAS THE ONE WHO WAS GONNA GIVE THEM MONEY?!

4) Who the fuck are Bulge? And what happened to Kuryu?

In End of Sky, we learn that Bulge are interested in the fight between Doubt, Prison Gang, and White Rascals and would sponsor Prison Gang. That's why the scene where we see Jesse fighting with another prisoner, after he kicks him down the guards tell Jesse that Bulge wants to see him to. This is why Jesse and Prison Gang are released early. When Jesse goes back to Funk Jungle he's asking if Mighty want to join but Ice says that they are gonna focus on promoting Funk Jungle, but like he's a liar they show up at the fight anyways lol.

A the end of Final Mission, the movie closes off with a dramatic shot of Mighty Warriors and a typed out message stating "Hello, everyone. This is Bulge. The takeover plan has begun." We never get an explanation of who they are, what they do, etc. I did learn from Ryu's Wiki Fandom page however that "It is presumed that he and Bulge orchestrated the fall of Kuryu Group. In the music video of the MIghty Warriors' new song "Warriors Anthem", it is revealed that he took over Kuryu as the leader after the events of Final Mission, and having Mighty Warriors occupy the remaining 8 heads of Kuryu."

So who exactly are Bulge? How are they powerful enough to be able to take down all of the original Kuryu members who have been seen as indestructible the whole franchise? Why did they allow Ryu to be the new leader?

After Final Mission, the next media pieces that were released were the DTC show and DTC movie, and then we moved into The Worst era with High&Low: The Worst Episode 0 along with the two Worst movies that followed.

I had made the assumption that around the start of the Worst era the creators probably wanted to integrate more of Jr.Exile into the franchise because of their 1) popularity and 2) new stories. The popularity of Exile members like Hokuto and Kazuma would probably bring in more viewership which does good on the numbers and money side because as I said above, unfortunately this is also a business not just art. The H&L creators probably also needed new stories to follow because they can't keep adding to S.W.O.R.D

Vis said that they think the Mighty Warriors were probably dropped because we haven't seen anything from them since the third movie, but Taiga also brought up how the new Mighty Warriors music video was also dropped right around the time the most recent movie Worst X was released. This probably means they are trying to figure out the story within S.W.O.R.D behind the scenes and it's just taking a while to do the world building. Tired also brought up a good point that considering most of the actors in H&L are also Exile members, they have to also continue their jobs as artists so tours, making music, schedules, etc. are probably also clashing with filming and working on High and Low.

Hopefully that is the case and we see more because I have too many questions and no answers.

5) Wtf happened to Rude Boys, Nameless City, and Nikaido?

If you read my fics, you know that when I write about Nameless City after Smoky's passing, I write about how the Rude Boys, Lala, and Eri go and visit Smoky's grave all the time. About a month ago the besties in the Discord made it known to me that Smoky's gravesite and like 3/4 of Nameless City was completely blown up. I was like 😧when I read those messages because it wasn't even like a head-canon thing I genuinely thought that only a small section of Nameless City was blown up so we were fine BUT APPARENTLY WE AREN'T FINE. So what does this mean for the Nameless City residents?

Did they get government housing to stay in while they got tested for the disease from the pollution? Did the residents get released back into Nameless City after the whole casino project exposure? If they were released back into Nameless City, are they all just cramming into that little 1/4 of Nameless City that wasn't blown up?

What happened to Rude Boys afterwards? Are they all back in Nameless City? Or did they move to a different area? Where would they go though? Little Asia? Did Eri get adopted afterwards? Are they finding ways to make money like how they mined the crystal to get money to rebuild Nameless City? Do they even want to return to Nameless City considering the pollution from the toxic waste was causing the disease that killed their leader?

Wtf happened to Nikaido/Cain? Is he finally happy now that he purged his past? Was purging his past and killing his brother worth it? If Kuryu was overthrown and taken over by Mighty Warriors, what does that mean for Nikaido? Is he working for them? Was purging his past worth anything if he didn't even gain anything from it because MW took over Kuryu? Again, so many questions and no answers😭

6) Give us a more clear timeline

This isn't a plot hole, just something I wish the creators would do is give us a clearer timeline. We're never given any clear timeline of how much time has past between each movie or even how much time is between the S.W.O.R.D and Worst era. I'm always trying to calculate the timeline or everyone's ages based off of the only two characters we get ages for and Noboru's school timeline.

The only two characters in the whole franchise that we get ages for are Chiharu and Seki. At the start of the series we know that Chiharu is 20 because when he joins Sannoh, in the scene at the bar Cobra offers him a drink but takes it back and says "wait but aren't you underaged?" to which Chiharu replies that he is 20 (which is the legal adult age in Japan) and Tettsu makes fun of him for still being in high school as an adult (in good fun of course not in a mean way).

When we first are introduced to Oya, the narrator tells us that Seki is the oldest part-timer student there at age 25.

Noboru, Yamato, and Cobra were high schoolers while Mugen was still active. This is deduced by the scene where Yamato drops Noboru off in front of the school for the day he takes his exam, then when he opens up his college acceptance letter with them. I'm assuming Yamato and Cobra dropped out to be apart of Mugen and take care of their parents' shops. Then, we see when Noboru starts college but doesn't make it super far into his bachelors degree after getting sent to jail. We don't get to see how long he was in jail for, just that he was released early because Kuryu paid to get him out early.

I always use these ages and Noboru's vague school timeline to try and figure out the character's ages and shit but they are just estimates because we never get clear timelines from the creators. Like why couldn't they at least tell us how much time passed between the end of Final Mission and the start of The Worst?!😭anyways.... onto the next thing

The Worst Era (mainly X)

Like I said in the screenshot, The Worst isn't my favorite movie out of the franchise but I think it was the best executed in terms of plot out of all the movies. The plot was clear, very concise, and relatively had no plot holes. (I haven't seen The Worst Episode 0 so if there is something that is missing plot wise please let me know)

It was fun to see the cross with Housen and the themes and messages we got from not only the plot but also from each character were all really good too. It was a solid movie, no complaints.

The Worst X however... I have questions. It's not to say it wasn't good, I still liked it and obviously it was good considering I watched it with no context and it got me into the whole H&L universe, but I feel like it fell a bit short. There was more the writers could've done for not only plot development but character development.

1)How did that 3 school alliance actually even start?

From the movies, it seems like Kohei Amagai is well known as "the annoying son of the Amagai group". Like EVERYONE knows him and knows he throws around money to get people to work for him. And like yeah, we see when he is able to take control of the school with the beige uniforms because Senomon, Kamasaka, and Ebara are quite literally beating the shit out of them, but how did Senomon get Kamasaka and Ebara to cooperate?

I refuse to believe that Amagai was able to get Kamasaka who fight with weapons like brass knuckles and metal rods and Ebara who are all literal gym bros to join his stupid ass plan with just money. As dumb as I think boys are I don't think Reiji, Ghandi, Shoji, Raijin, or Fujin are actually dumb enough to join an alliance for money. Even if this alliance did win and take over Oya, what would they have done with each other afterwards? Those dudes have so much pride we all know that there is NO WAY they would all continue working under Amagai. 2) What the fuck is the story behind Todoroki and the dudes from Ebara?

The whole time Fujin and Raijin are running around screaming about how they're gonna crush Todoroki and I literally sit there like

And like the scene after Todoroki beats up Fujin and Raijin, Shoji goes "you're different now" and I'm always like "Different? DIFFERENT HOW?! DON'T BE SHY SHARE WITH THE CLASS PLEASE"

Todoroki responds with something along the lines of "now I have friends to protect" which is so wholesome I love that, but what is the detailed history of him and the guys from Ebara? We never get that explained to us. I remember reading somewhere that Todoroki trained hard to beat his bullies and because he got so strong that's why he always tried to fight for the leader position because he believed he could beat Murayama. I also saw a clip on Youtube where when Murayama is fighting with Todoroki, he sees his old self in Todoroki who is being reckless which probably adds to Todoroki's character development.

Did the guys from Ebara bully Todoroki? Were they old friends who fell apart? Did they just have a bad run in when Todoroki was being a little shit and fought but now hold a grudge because they are teenagers with a lot of pride and anger issues and it's not that deep? Idk🤷‍♀️The thing that bugs me is the fact that their feud was added a solid amount to the plot and why Ebara joined then dropped the alliance so I don't know why we didn't get at least a vague explanation of who these characters are to each other.

3) Questions and what I want to see next movie

This obviously isn't plot holes but just some questions I have and what I want to see in the next installments of the franchise.

Why were these high schoolers doing THE FUCKIN MOST to see who was stronger?! The first time I watched I was so confused because why was this movie serious but also so unserious?! They did not need to be doing all that.

Why didn't Amagai get in any trouble for anything?! Is it because he has money?! Like how did this man commit literal crime and everyone was like okei. He literally kidnapped Tsukasa and tortured him for like half a day and 1 night...

How did Tsukasa not die?! The was literally beat over the head with a metal pipe, kidnapped, tied up, tortured, and then dropped from a balcony. I digress, he probably has plot armor as Sun calls it because how did he not die or at least end up in the hospital for a long time.

I want to see the movies circle back to the S.W.O.R.D plotline so it would be really cool if Amagai's little plan was part of a larger plan to break down the peace in S.W.O.R.D. It wouldn't be the first time the adults used kids to push their agenda. Kuryu originally wanted to use Murayama to tear down the peace in S.W.O.R.D because he used to look up to the man who was the head of Iemura but because he chose not to do it, they went after Noboru.

Maybe MW are thriving as the new heads of Kuryu so someone on the outside is trying to take over and Amagai's family is apart of that. Or maybe his family is trying to gain favor from Mighty and are working for them. Idk but it would be cool if we circle back to S.W.O.R.D and see the new Oya characters have to integrate into the S.W.O.R.D world also.

I also want to see a segment of how Rude Boys and Oya adjust to their new leaders.

I want to see what happened to the rest of S.W.O.R.D after the third movie. We saw Oya in The Worst era but what happened to everyone else? Which I also know these are probably kind of far fetched considering the Exile Tribe member who played Rocky is retired from the entertainment industry now... but a girl can dream I guess.

Thoughts and pictures - S3E2

Here we go for the rewatch of S3E2 (sorry in advance, it might get long ^^')

The new rules at Hillerska are pretty dumb and way too severe. And this phone policy is so stupid: how are these 2 horny boys supposed to survive? :p

So on one hand, online hate is about Simon not being good enough for Wilhelm, and on the other hand, it's about Wilhelm who should not have said anything in his speech because he's betraying the school. Though Wilhelm is not reading the online comments like Simon, and the attacks are less personal and vicious. Seeing Simon read through everything was so painful, I just wanted to go kick the ass of everyone who dared be a bully so this lil' muffin.

Gosh the third years are over the top: "three years here and we get nothing", just because they can't have a proper graduation and all the parties and stupid stuff they wanted to do before graduating? I guess that it's frustrating but compared to the real issues that are being raised about the school, it sounds very very superficial... August is way more reasonable than Vincent about it: the issue is not that they won't have a graduation (even if they don't have the party, they will still graduate high school) but that the school might close, thus sending them all to other schools before the end of the term. Vincent is an idiot.

"Why can't she call me?". Episode 2 and Wilhelm is already heartbroken because of his mother.

Farima doesn't believe Wilhelm about his initiation, look at her face! But it strikes me that her main concern if he did go through this awful initiation is that it would look bad for the Royal Court to keep him here, and not at all about his well being and how traumatizing it would have been!! The adults in this show are the worst... And nobody cares about Wilhelm (except Simon) 💔

"He's such an attention whore". Another ass that needs to be kicked!! How dare they talk about him like that?

Simon keeps being bullied and Wilhelm pressured: if they close the school, it'll be his fault. Why is everyone so mean and terrible to them?

The Felice interview makes me so mad!! And it reminds me of the interaction between August, Simon and Wilhelm back in season 1 when August tells them how nice it is that rowing bring students together, with no regard for their ethnicity, background, etc. Which made Simon super mad too. I love the switch from Felice in the office with her strained smile to her angrily throwing punches during gym class. Excellent cinematic!

Micke and Sara: I'm still so surprised to see him act so well.

This freaking blonde girl from the choir: I hate her 😡 She was the one slut shaming Felice in season 2. Now she's complaining about the point of training for a song if they're not sure they'll be performing. You're annoying and mean. I don't like you 😤

But Simon's face when Wilhelm joins the choir 💜💜

I love this little scene so much: they are just so cute and in love. Like you can feel how much they love each other: they're literally glued together, kissing and then just keeping their faces so so close to each other while talking. It just feels so true to life, when you love someone so much that you just want to stay as close as you can, just touching each other in any way you can, never letting go. Also I just love how Simon loves Wilhelm. How clingy he can be.

So the scene between Nils and August: we know that they were victims of this awful initiation but I'm realizing now that we don't know if they ended up being beaten up and made fun of because they got an erection? I've seen several posts of people discussing that August could be queer because he had a reaction to the porno (which I don't agree with, I don't think that it can be taken as an indicator of someone's sexual orientation). But we don't know if he had a reaction, do we? Or am I misunderstanding/missing something?

Wilhelm is so angry with August. Yeah his reaction in the library can be seen as a little over the top ("don't talk to him!") but I understand his anger. And okay, the way we go from the fight to both of them sitting silently in Boris' office is comedy gold :p I'm almost frustrated that the fight was so short though, I wanted Wilhelm to get some good punches in!! These mediation talks: I'm not sure how I feel about them. On one hand I get that the Court wants them to get along, but on the other, August did something truly awful and traumatizing to Wilhelm. So if he doesn't want to talk to him, to see him or to have anything to do with him anymore, well, it's his right! He shouldn't be forced to interact with him like that. Also I was a bit disappointed by Boris this season: he was so good during season 2 but I find him a bit underwhelming this season...

"I can be your revolution". Please can we get the song again in the last episode? The full version for a happy Wilmon who are a revolution together? Pretty please?

Simon giggling while reading the messages about his video is the cutest thing ever. And it's a tragedy that it was one of the only giggle we got from him this season 😫

Wilhelm is wearing a purple jumper when he listens to Simon's song. It's rare to see him wear purple, isn't it?

Linda still annoys me a bit this season. Like in this scene: no, don't ask your son, who's been betrayed so hard by his sister, to still care about her right now. He's angry at her, and rightfully so (I love love love that they let him be truly angry at her). She should understand that.

Rosh and Stella: yes please, I ship it! (Yeah I don't like Frederika so I'm all for a new potential love interest for Stella :p)

Also after 2 seasons where we regularly saw guys peeing outside, it's the girls' turn!! I don't know why but it made me laugh ^^

The conversation about their summer plans: this scene is so awkward!! And the tent scene that follows is just terrible 😭 Also hear me out: maybe unpopular opinion but I think Simon overreacted. Maybe from his point of view what Wilhelm is gonna do during summer is not working (because it's not the kind of job that him, Ayub and Rosh will have) but it's still working. Taking classes to become Prince/King is not gonna be a walk in the park, it's gonna be work for Wilhelm. It's terrible because I understand where Simon is coming from during their fight: telling Wilhelm that he never had to work to afford anything, that he's so incredibly privileged, it's so hard to be with someone who's from such a higher social status and be easily pissed off when they don't seem to realize it (what do you mean it sounds like I'm talking from experience.. 😅). Side eyeing Wilhelm hard with the shushing though. Don't talk to Simon like that >< (I would have stormed out if I had been Simon!) And yeah throwing the line about the settlement money was not nice (I've seen people being angry about it) but he's mad and got yelled at while he thought he was just trying to relate to and hang out with Simon's friends. So I understand throwing a mean comment there (I would have done the same 😣)

The "is it my fault?" breaks my heart. And so again: the crushing weight on Wilhelm's shoulders... His mother is unwell so he has to be strong, to be ready to take over, and on top of it, he has to keep it to himself.

Gosh season 3 is just things piling up on Wilhelm and Simon. Different things but still crushing them, slowly but surely...
