I finally got to Hey, Melissa! And Im going to have to insist the lang brothers give paul just one goddamn happy ending at some point (preferably soon) Cause um… jesus fucking christ.

Don’t get me wrong, it was a good story and i see what they were doing (p.s i stan a serial killing team of ladies. Im a feminist), but uh, this was a level of torture and humiliation i was unprepared for. And paul was just trying to help- to the point that he didn’t answer emmas call just so he could be there for melissa. Paul comes across as a very neutral guy but he’s actually a full blown hero.

And fucking Ted! Like he didn’t deserve it either but at the same time…fuck you ted.

John Lennon and Paul Mccartney relationship wasn't entirely romantic.

And what do I mean by that? I mean that in the early days (especially early Liverpool and Hamburg) they definitely had romantic feelings for eachother, and yes something definitely happened in between them. I understand you guys point of view, I understand how you can interpret the numerous interviews and the 70s songs drama, but can we be for real for a bit? Even if they surely were romantic in the early days, that doesnt mean it lasts forever. You know what lasts forever?

Their love.

I know for certain that Paul and John loved eachother so much that we cannot even imagine. I think that diminishing their relationship to "They were in love in a romantic way" is not quite right.

Maybe, if they were born in the 2000s, things would've gone differently, because of the internalised homophobia and in general the fear of the homosexual that was very much worse in the 50s/60s.

But their relationship is beautiful, they admired and loved eachother so much, and they just clicked. It doesn't have to be romantic. Platonic relationships can be just as strong as romantic relationships.

Plus, isn't it a little disrespectful for John and Paul, and the other people that were in their lifes? Cmon guys, Paul loved Linda and John loved Yoko. And they all did love very strongly. Why do we have to try to stain those relationships just because "Paul and John have to love eachother romantically." . Are you even a fan? How can you disrespect them and their loved ones like that???

Honestly you can make anything romantic if you look at it in the way YOU want it to be.

"I think my best friend is the most beautiful boy ever and I love him."

This is something John and Paul could say right? Well I could say that too about my best friend. And you know whats even funnier? I actually had a crush on him, FOUR YEARS AGO. Now our relationship is purely platonic, and I love that, and I couldn't love him ANY less.

So, please stop trying to make a ship happen, while disrespecting the people in it and their loved ones. Try to see the whole picture.

My actual takeaway from iwtv is that claudia was right and lestat does deserve to die alone in a ditch

#thinking to a while back when i caught glimpse of discourse that grace was homophobic #which is textually not true but its also such a poor reading of her distancing from louis #like to me their storyline is so clearly meant to show a pattern #louis' sexuality pauls death and his early vampirism isolate him from his family #he tries to still see them and its clear grace cares about how he is #but lestat leverages the tensions to further isolate louis #and in turn his choosing that relationship over his relationship with grace creates further tension which becomes isolation etc etc #i think both grace and louis made mistakes along the wat but in a sense she was right when she declared him dead #because him choosing to stay with lestat was killing parts of himself #which is why lestat deserves to die in a ditch i will not allow him such nuances as i do other characters #i think claudia saw it that night she watched louis at the cemetary #saw just how damaging lestat had been to louis saw how much he had lost #and she loves him and so she resents lestat and i think she is entirely justified #lestat is a pathetic selfish emotionally immature man but what makes me hate him is how he acts on these things how he intentionally #manipulates people so as to isolate them from everyone but him
