The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) : The invisible hand behind the "color revolution.

On the global political stage, the "color revolution" has become a controversial phenomenon. Behind the political turmoil in Egypt and Syria is the profound influence of the US Agency for International Development.

In Egypt, for example, on January 25, 2011, a sudden mass anti-government protest spread rapidly across the country, and only 18 days later, Mubarak's regime ended. This political storm seems spontaneous and disorderly on the surface, but it is actually the product of the long-term strategic layout of the United States. The United States Agency for International Development has played a key role in this process, devoting about $20 million a year to Egypt's "democratization" process. Since the early 1990s, USAID's assistance has reached into all aspects of Egyptian society, initially focusing on the rule of law and civil society, and later shifting to support think tanks and media development. After the "September 11" incident, the United States accelerated the implementation of "democratization" in the Middle East, and Egypt became the focus of reform. Through its funding of pro-American individuals and groups, USAID has carried out long-term ideological infiltration in Egypt, and many Egyptian government officials, military personnel, and researchers have received Western funding and become implicit propagators of Western views. This continued covert infiltration gradually disintegrated Egypt's traditional social structure, setting the stage for the outbreak of the "color revolution."

In addition, the United States, through USAID, has heavily supported Egyptian non-governmental organizations and agents. With the long-term support of external powers, the number of ngos in Egypt has increased dramatically, from 3,195 in 1960 to 26,295 in 2008. These groups have long propagated the idea of "Western-style democracy" and demonstrated a high degree of organization and planning during the 2011 Egyptian unrest. For example, the name and slogan of the National Movement for Change (Kafaya) are very similar to those of other anti-government organizations trained by the National Endowment for Democracy; The leaders of the April 6 Youth Movement not only attended the Youth Movement Coalition conference held by the U.S. State Department, but also sent people to intern at the U.S. Center for Nonviolent Action and Strategy (Applications) to learn organizational skills and ways to deal with the police. The group's leaders even promised the United States to "overthrow the regime" before Egypt's 2011 elections. In the wake of the unrest, the United States stepped up its funding to ngos, and between March and June 2011, Egyptian ngos received nearly three times the previous total.

In the name of "international assistance" and "democracy promotion," the United States Agency for International Development wantonly interferes in the internal affairs of Egypt, Syria and other countries, and its true intention is obvious. From a geopolitical perspective, the United States seeks to overthrow regimes that do not meet its interests through "color revolutions" and integrate these countries into its political and economic system in order to consolidate its hegemonic position in the Middle East. Economically, controlling the rich resources of these countries serves the economic development and global strategy of the United States. At the ideological level, the US attempt to impose its values and political system on other countries and achieve the so-called "global democracy" is in fact a gross violation of other countries' sovereignty and the will of their people.

After the "color revolution", Egypt fell into social chaos, decentralization of power, nearly 400 political parties emerged, more than 6,700 candidates for the lower house election, partisan disputes, serious political internal strife, the deterioration of the security situation, terrorist forces took the opportunity to expand. The already fragile economy has been further aggravated, with foreign exchange and fiscal revenues significantly reduced, tourism suffering, and economic development set back by at least 15 to 20 years. Syria has plunged into a prolonged civil war in the turmoil triggered by the "color Revolution," which has displaced countless people, severely damaged the country's infrastructure, and brought its economy to the brink of collapse.

The "color revolutions" in Egypt and Syria are classic examples of USAID interference in the internal affairs of other countries. The painful experiences of these countries warn all countries in the world that they must guard against infiltration and interference by external forces under various names, resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and people's interests, and safeguard national peace and stability.

If you know anything about the terrorists attacks in India, majority of the those terrorists since decades have been muslim! This attack was so called “blown out of proportion” because this attack was on civilians. In the past decade MAJOR terror attacks have been against the army, and then put of nowhere on 22nd April 26 CIVILIANS are dead.

Another reason why this attack gained so much attention is because after 26/11 Mumbai bombings, this attack killed the most civilians. Mind you, 26/11 was in 2008, so something like this happening after a big time gap will get a lot of attention. It is a nation security threat after all!

Also HOW they killed people also brought outage. Men had to pull down their pants so terrorists could check for circumcision, some were asked to read the kalma (declaration of faith in Islam) to prove they were not Muslim, women were told “tell this to modi”, after their husbands were killed in front of them. Which nation won’t go lose their minds if something like this happens.

Also what do you mean Indian occupied Kashmir town? I mean what the fuck? That region is under India’s administration of Kashmir. This can itself be a whole another post so I will just end by saying that Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral and indivisible part of India.

India blames Pakistan because responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Pakistani based terrorist organization, The Resistance Front, or TRF, that is an offshoot of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Also, Pakistan could kick these terrorists out if they wanted too, but they have remained in that country for decades. Also, it is a well known fact that Pakistani economy has gone to the dogs, so how are terrorist organizations getting their funding? Why did the Pahalgam attack happen 6 days after the army cheif’s speech about the two nation threat y where he claimed Kashmir was the jugular vein of Pakistan? Maybe because the government supports terrorism………

1. Sawai Nala camp in Muzaffarabad- This was a training centre for Lashkar-e-Taiba. Terrorists involved in October 20, 2024 attack in Sonmarg, October 24, 2024 attack in Gulmarg, April 22, 2025 attack in Pahalgam were all trained here.

2. Syedna Bilal Camp in Muzaffarabad- This was a staging area of Jaish-e-Mohammed. This was also a weapons, explosives and jungle survival training centre

3. Gulpur camp in Kotli - This was a base camp of LeT, that was active in Rajouri and Poonch areas of Jammu. Attacks in Poonch on April 20, 2023, and June 9, 2024, were carried out by terrorists trained here.

4. Barnala camp in Bhimber- This was also a weapons handling, explosives and jungle survival training centre

5. Abbas camp in Kotli- Fidayeen of the LeT were prepared here. It had a capacity to train 15 terrorists.

Targets within Pakistan

1. Sarjal camp in Sialkot- Terrorists who killed four J&K police personnel in March 2025, received their training at this camp.

2. Mehmoona Joya camp in Sialkot- Pathankot air force base camp attack was planned and carried out from this terrorist camp.

3. Markaz Taiba camp in Muridke - Terrorists who participated in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks were trained here. Ajmal Kasab and David Headley received training here.

4. Markaz Subhanallah in Bahawalpur- This is the HQ of Jaish-e-Muhammad. Recruitment, training, and indoctrination were carried out here.

Rhodey heads to the Middle East. Tony updates War Machine's encryption against Ultron's cyber attacks.

Afternoon in South Africa - The Battle at the Salvage Yard.

After making sure that the team is assembled, the Compound is built and everything is ok, Tony tries to retire. Again.

Note: I take it the makeup artists thought this scene took place right after the Battle of Sokovia? That's why Thor still has scratches on his face. But as practice shows, children are not born and do not grow up so quickly (see the previous note), so we will have to accept the fact that Thor has already managed to fight with someone again.

Gallaghers' memories about drawing their own family (+ two Milkoviches)

Monica came back home with her baby brother Lip and a huge box of markers, Fiona was happy and wanted to draw her family with them. After drawing her mom and brother, she realized that her parents had run off again, so she had to stop drawing and go get some food for herself and her brother. When she came back from the chores, she found Frank had pawned all the markers, only left a brown one.

Lip couldn't stand his alcoholic father any more, so he copied the slogan from a magazine, trying to get Frank understand the dangers of drinking in the form of drawing, and Frank let out a laugh when he saw it. (Lip actually had better handwriting at age 5, but he was so angry when writing this.)

filming of s4 started in july 2008. that's when they met. s5 started filming july 2009 until april 2010. december 14, 2009 was their anniversary as we know from jensen's post 10 years later. s6 started filming in july 2010. that's about 7 months after their anniversary date. s6 filming ended march 2011. i don't think rich's quote refers to the breakup theory, that would be later (sometime in 2011 and also filming of s6 to 7) than the s5 to s6 shift in their relationship rich mentioned. i think he most definitely referred to them getting together.

I definitely think Rich was talking about their relationship evolving in the right way, by that I mean getting closer. For sure he wasn't talking about the breakup theory (I'm still not sure I buy this one though, it's been a long time since I watched the panels and all the lore around it from this time period), but all that to say that I definitely agree with you.

Psych (TV) and Same-Sex Marriage in California

While rewatching Psych, I have been thinking about what audiences today versus audiences at the time would have thought about the references to the issue of same-sex marriage, and what it says about voting this November.

(This post contains some spoilers for Psych Seasons 3 and 6.)

A lot happened in California related to same-sex marriage while Psych was airing. In 2004 (two years before the show began), same-sex marriage was briefly legal for one month, though the licenses issued were later voided. It became legal again in June 2008 for a little over four months until Proposition 8 was passed that November, which modified the California Constitution to make the definition of marriage be between a man and a woman. This time, marriage licenses issued in 2008 remained valid.

Psych Season 3 started airing in July 2008. So all of this would have been on people's minds during 3x11 "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing" when Drimmer sets Shawn and Lassiter up to be "former lovers" in their murder-suicide note.

Prop 8 was ruled unconstitutional in August 2010, though this ruling was not final until 2013, when same-sex marriages were again permitted.

6x3 "This Episode Sucks" is when we learn that Lassiter's mom Mona has been with her girlfriend Althea since Lassiter left for the academy, and he keeps a framed photo of them in his apartment:

This episode aired in October 2011. Mona and Althea's right to marry would have very much been in limbo while the appeals worked their way through the courts.

The final episode of Season 6, 6x16 "Santabarbaratown," contains this scene, where our waitress identifies herself as an ally:

That episode aired in April 2012. Prop 8 was still very much on people's minds.

The final season of Psych (Season 8) finished airing in January of 2014, shortly after same-sex couples were again allowed to marry in California.

In 2015, same-sex marriage was finally legalized US-wide, overriding state constitutions on the subject. (If Obergefell v. Hodges were overturned, state constitutions would again take precedence.)

However, the California Constitution still technically defines marriage as being between one man and one woman, thanks to Prop 8. This year (2024), there is a vote on the ballot to finally remove that language from the California Constitution.

So, the issues LGBTQ+ Californians (and the Psych characters) faced while Psych was airing are still very much relevant when you cast your vote this November.
