Okay so I get why Jensen is into Misha and has been crushing on him for years. The evidence is verrrrry obvious lol. But I genuinely don't see Misha being into Jensen the same way. Don't kill me, but Jensen's not really on Misha's level intellectually--not like Jared is. Jensen admitted he doesn't even read ever, whereas Misha's a voracious reader, writes poetry, and is working on a film script. Also Jensen's not really into activism or politics and is just overall kinda basic? Like he's into beer, cars, and country music, which is fine. But I don't see that being very interesting to Misha. Like yeah Jensen's conventionally handsome and great as Dean but that's kinda it? I'd think Misha would need more than just looks. Also there aren't really any moments where Misha's GENUINELY swooning over Jensen if you think about it. He's just as smiley, affectionate, and teasing with Jensen as he is with literally everyone else in the cast. And yeah he kissed him on the cheek that one time cuz Jensen was struggling onstage, but that's just Misha being Misha. If anything, he seems into Rob imo.

They might not share the same interests but it doesn't mean they can't be together. Jensen could totally admire Misha's talent for acting, writing poetry and other stuffs he does. And Misha can totally admire Jensen's talent too, for acting as well and for music for example, by promoting the release of his last album (I don't have the energy to find the panel where he said it) and by looking at him like this:

See, I don't think Misha is that much demonstrative compared to Jensen actually. Misha likes to joke a lot so it doesn't seem like it but he's more private, shows less affection, except usual hugs and kisses to joke, and talks less about what he feels.

And I think he wouldn't like someone calling Jensen basic.

Because he is not.

Also, I find Misha and Rob really cute together.

Look how tender it is. The fingers stroking Misha's neck and jaw. The thumb softly sliding on his temple. His other hand caressing Misha's face is kind of a "joke" while this one you're not supposed to focus on and is just so tender, it gets me.

They worked together during season 4 too so why 5 to 6??? When did they do their first date? Was it during season 4 or later????

No wonder Jensen was not happy with Misha not really being here in season 7. But WHAT HAPPENED DURING S5 TO S6???????

What gets me with Cockles is that they didn't have to.

I'm sure you all know what Kripke said to Jensen and Jared when they started the show. They needed to be brothers on and off screen. I'm shortening things here but basically that's what he advised, and don't get me wrong I'm not saying he was wrong.

I'm just saying nobody said that to Jensen and Misha. They didn't have to. They don't have to.

filming of s4 started in july 2008. that's when they met. s5 started filming july 2009 until april 2010. december 14, 2009 was their anniversary as we know from jensen's post 10 years later. s6 started filming in july 2010. that's about 7 months after their anniversary date. s6 filming ended march 2011. i don't think rich's quote refers to the breakup theory, that would be later (sometime in 2011 and also filming of s6 to 7) than the s5 to s6 shift in their relationship rich mentioned. i think he most definitely referred to them getting together.

I definitely think Rich was talking about their relationship evolving in the right way, by that I mean getting closer. For sure he wasn't talking about the breakup theory (I'm still not sure I buy this one though, it's been a long time since I watched the panels and all the lore around it from this time period), but all that to say that I definitely agree with you.

They definitely got closer during s5-6.

There's something different in those hugs at the beginning. Jensen hugging Rob it's cute and all, they are friends, Rob even does a little head tilt towards Jensen.

But then there's Cockles hug. Huge difference. Lingering touches, big wide smiles, the eyes. The leaning into each other's personal space to whisper just after the hug. I don't know. I just find them cute. I also love the friendship with Rob you know. But there is something different between these two. I already said that I don't know what it is and we'll probably never know. I just -

I just love seeing this, I love seeing them together. And I want more! I loved waking up this morning with new jenmish content, I want that every morning that's all!

I finally watched that panel from 2023 with Jensen and Misha (and Mark, DJ, Ruth and Samantha). At the end, Jensen answers a question about what he thought about Misha when they first met and ends his answer by saying, "that's why I love the guy."

Did someone count how many times Jensen actually said publically that he loved Misha?

There's this example and two others that I have in mind but maybe I'm missing some.

Also, how insane it is that he is the one saying this so many times, while Misha is the one that never said it publically at least. Or maybe I missed something?

2024 has been my first full year here and I must say I had fun. I can't believe I'm at a point where 30 people subscribed to my AO3 willingly and that I'm 5 people away from 400 followers on Tumblr. This is insane, guys. INSANE!!!!!!
