Prompt 79

When Pariah was awoken from his slumber, he wasn’t exactly expecting it. One was never expecting to awaken when they were supposed to be sealed for eternity after all. He also wasn’t expecting for the reason the sarcophagus was even opened to be a pair of literal infants. A pair of very sick infants.

One was a newborn ancient for Realms’ sake! Two years dead, if that, and the other- Where was their guardian?! Who had let an obsession get that bad?! How long had he been sealed away that no one had caught an obsession turning toxic and harmful towards a ghostling?!

Why was he even sealed inside this area of the zone?! Why had his Keep been moved in the center of one of the zones where ghostlings formed?! He’d never harm a ghostling, but if he’d been any madder (And he knows he had lost it near the end there, that he’d gone too far as he cracked under the weight of the Realms, he’d had an eternity to realize) it would have been a catastrophe!

Who has been in charge, the observants!? … What the fuck, that was supposed to be rhetorical! No! They’re good for paperwork but they seem to have failed even at that and- what do you mean they’ve sealed Clockwork away?!

The already traumatized Time Primordial who was in this type of area specifically to care for ghostlings, and was now being prevented?! How long has this been going on- No! He’s fixing his realms-damned kingdom before he even thinks about conquering other ones, because who the fuck let it get this bad!

Pspsps, here little sick ghostlings, he’s trying very hard not to hurt you but you are very tiny and he has been locked away for a long time so please stop squirming…

Making a list of good signs that Tommy's set for being a long-term love interest for Buck, to see how many we get. So far I've got:

Number of episodes similar to established partners or long-term love interests (like Karen or Taylor)

Backstory

Tommy plays a part in a storyline other than his romance with Buck

Tommy gets his own 'storyline' (B-plot, like Taylor and Ransone's investigation for example)

Home is shown; bonus: conversation about moving in (extra: Buck moves in)

So I saw this post of Dulce by @matchalovertrait and was inspired to do this with Roo! I was gonna do freshmen Roo (13-15 year old Roo), but Idk I wasn't vibing with that version of Roo... But I did do it with the other ages, 2011-2013 is him in highschool (16, 17, 18 respectively) and 2016-2018 is him in college (21, 22-23 respectively), also if you didn't know, Roo dropped out after 2018, hence why there's no 2019-2020 ones :)

Normally I don't like to offer commentary on the bracket while it's going on but I need to let y'all in on the absolute fever dream the past 24 hours have been

-prepping for the bracket, decides to throw in some more characters to make things more interesting

-still has dead friend forever on watchlist but remembers seeing gifs of the show and one of the characters seemed to be pretty unhinged

-goes to the dead friend forever tag, finds the guy, scrolls through the tags to figure out his name and sees a lot of people talking about how unhinged he is

-thinks: oh that's good that means he'll probably do well in the prelims

-he passes the prelims

-putting him in the seed: well he only has my one submission without any propaganda (because I have not yet watched the show) and dff doesn't have a ton of viewers logged on mdl compared to others so he's going to have a pretty low seed meaning round 1 will be rough but hey at least he still has the loser bracket to shine-

-he wins, beating the #2 seed out of 64, one of the most submitted characters, in ROUND ONE

-welp

anyways congrats to New from Dead Friend Forever for the biggest upset since I started seeding these things, knocking out one of the most submitted characters, and it was a character I added last minute without propaganda because I hadn't watched the show yet and was going off the memory of gifs I saw several months ago. you can see now why I've been losing my mind over this right

#bl bracket #I joked before that this bracket would be wild but I did not anticipate THIS #anyways before I would occasionally throw in some characters from shows I only knew secondhand to pad the bracket out #if we were really close to the next limit (like 60 characters submitted so I add 4 to make it 64)#and now that we started prelims I've been adding some characters just to make things more interesting in the prelims #cause like if you had 5 spots and 6 candidates even if only 2 of those 6 were good most of them will still get in #whereas if you had 5 spots and 20 candidates the chances of 5 that fit well are higher? and even if there's still only 2 good ones #the 3 not so good ones are now the best out of 18 not so good ones instead of 4 not so good ones #does that make sense? so by adding more guys it makes a better bracket either way. cause either they are better suited and make it in #or they're not and they don't but the amount of available spots remains the same

He promises to meet every need through His limitless resources (Philippians 4:19) and provides His Word and indwelling Spirit to guide us.

No wonder Paul was grateful! Count his blessings as your own, and let God know how appreciative you are.”
