i know tommy couldn't have left the 118 too long before buck joined so i have this little idea in my head that he met denny when he was a baby. like he wouldn't have been asked to babysit but he got roped into it the second time chimney was left alone with the baby, as a precaution, like, for reinforcements. he invited tommy over under false pretenses you know beer and pizza and movies and then went oh also there's a 10 month old baby sleeping in my guest room so we can't be too loud. classic chimney. tricking people. and tommy hangs out and everything goes fine thank god, even when denny wakes up they give him a bottle and he falls asleep pretty quickly. at the end of the night tommy says next time you need a favour just tell me straight up.
