Besides from Ireland, do you portray any other nation as female despite having a canon male version?

Actually, yes! I have female OCs for Northern Ireland, Finland, Iceland & Estonia. Iceland started out as a nyo, but I developed her so much she basically became an OC. The other three I set out with the intention of making an OC version instead. I might go back in develop male iceland more, bc I honestly love the idea of Finland being the only female (independent) Nordic.

I also prefer to use nyo north Italy in aus. I scarcely use aph Italy, also nyo. Nations like France, America & Spain, it’s a flip of a coin, sometimes I like to use their 1ps, but I also love their nyos.

I would’ve loved for the Philippines to be a girl too, and I much prefer Portugal original female design over his male design, but I don’t have girl versions developed for them, and don’t know enough about either country to develop female versions.

However, out of all these characters mentioned, the only two where I actively refuse to even acknowledge their male counterparts are Ireland & N. Ireland.

& in terms of OCs that aren’t canon in hetalia, the Faroe Islands, Åland, Cornwall & Northumbria (Northern England) are all also women in my mind.

[at time of writing this] We weren't one month out of Across the Spiderverse, and I had just got home from the cinema, searched through the tag for Pavitr Prabhakar only to find really cool fanart and character analysis or memes and incorrect quotes reducing him down to either uwu soft boi or British hating uwu soft boi.

Also hate seeing MCU Peter Parker reduced down to uwu soft boi who can't tie his own shoes and needs dad Tony Stark 24/7. Did you not see Peter expressing typical teenager "I'm not a baby" feelings when he saw Tony named his things "training wheels" and stuff like that? Did you all forget he's also theeee Peter Parker Spider-Man, as in some kind-hearted kid from Queens who's brilliant in STEM with a strong attachment to his family/friends?

Reason why I never go through Pavitr tag or mcu peter parker.

Hetalia is a wild one as a veteran. Romano Italy is always the guy to curse and if your fanfic is rated T or M for swearing or violence, guess who is the culprit? Did all of you forget England is more likely to curse than Romano because he's British? Forgot that Molossia's first appearance is a middle finger taking half of a panel? Romano is so flat, and he's not even violent. He would hurl a few complaints and insults but leaves it at that because he's more likely to cry drama queen style or begrudgingly ask for help after failling 100x.

Unfortunately, the opposite hurts more. Uwu soft boi edition of Romano where he's so afraid of violence, he must ask Spain for help?

I cried on the inside when someone shared an angry rooster video (and there is no Hetalia context, it's just a rooster angry) and wrote "romano bird" above the link, on a hetalia facebook group.

Really hate the design of fanon 2p! England. You all really think a second palette version of this absolutely invincible gentleman wears bright pink and a turquoise bowtie as the offset to the green uniform? Think about it. 2p! Nyo! England is the opposite palette to Nyo! England (one wears pink, the other blue, both wear a dress) and in the same pattern, 2p! North Italy is the opposite to 1p! North Italy (they wear same uniform but blue/brown). Did it not occur to you that 2p! England would be based off the green?????

What would the 1P Axis and Allies want out of a domestic life? Would they prefer to be househusbands or breadwinners? Would they be interested in starting families if if so would they like big or small ones?

1p N. Italy prefers the idea of being a househusband but doesn’t really have an answer for children. On one hand, he loves kids but on the other, he cannot deal with babies crying. He will also cry. He treasures his sleep.

1p S. Italy changes his opinion so often on the idea of domestic life, especially on the idea of starting a family. He can’t really hold down a job too well, no matter how hard he tries, he’s gotten used to the idea of househusband.

1p Germany doesn’t want children, he’d prefer having a dog to a child, he’s certain on that fact. He doesn’t really want to be the only person working either nor does he want that stress on them, he’d prefer it to be equal.

1p Japan doesn’t really mind whatever way, he’s never put much thought to what he wants from domestic life. To him, as long as his partner is happy with the life the two of them have, he’s happy as well.

1p America 100% wants to be the breadwinner, he’s motivated for it. As someone who was left alone most of his childhood, he craves this big family of loving people who get along and spend time with each other.

1p England doesn’t really want any kind of children running around, he’s over the idea of any more. Being the breadwinner definitely speaks more to him, he earns more than enough to live comfortably.

1p Canada wouldn’t mind a small family, it’s not something that he strives for but if it happens then he’s pleased. He would prefer financial efforts be 50/50, he doesn’t want either of them to do a lot of work or feel pressured to keep a house perfect.

1p France definitely would prefer a small family, raising too many children would definitely stress him out. He doesn’t want either of them to be a housespouse or working all the time, he wants to be able to spend time with them.

1p China already has a big family, he has dealt with raising children and doesn’t really want to do it anymore so unless is S/O is adamant then he’d try and not have any children. Another person that would prefer 50/50 for financial efforts.

1p Russia loves the idea of a big family, it’s his absolute dream for that to happen. When it comes to work, he doesn’t really mind either way, it’s almost entirely up to S/O’s preference.

Romano Vargas:

His brows furrow, trying to process what you had just admitted to him. Slowly but surely, his face turns red and he begins to stutter a reply, “S-stupid Ragazza! T-then what are you waiting for, an invitation?” He snaps. Although he seems very embarrassed by this situation, he ends up taking the initiative. What happens from there all depends on you.

Feliciano Vargas:

“Ve~! That makes me so happy Bella!” He would smile widely, taking your hands in his and kissing you sweetly on the lips. “I’ll make sure I spoil you with tons of kisses then!” His thumbs would gently rub circles into the back of your hands as he explains even further about how happy he is that you like him.

Ludwig Beilshmidt:

His face didn’t even hesitate to show how red he had gotten due to your words. “W-what? Are you sure?” He questions, mumbling a string of inaudible words afterward. He didn’t seem to calm down after that, he was mostly just stuttering nonsense. So, you had to shoot your shot by just grabbing his face and kissing him. He was shocked by your bravery, but it had managed to shock him enough to snap him out of whatever daze he was in. His eyes met yours and he adjusted the hat on his head, clearing his throat in embarrassment. “W-what I was trying to say is that I like you too.”

Kiku Honda:

He stood there, speechless. He had absolutely no idea what to say or even do, resulting in an awkward silence. A small grin is now plastered on your face. His expression is all you really needed to see in order to understand what was going on in his mind. “Kiku, how about we go on a date? We can leave kissing to when you’re comfortable.” The grin you wore, never faded. Japan eventually mustered up some courage to reply to your proposal in his thick accent, “I-i think that will be fine. W-where would you like to go..?”
