Catarina, the mother of Brazil (Mayara)

Fragment of Diogo's (Mayara's father) Diary: "A robust and very beautiful child was born on the seventh of September, in the Captaincy of Baía de Todos os Santos. She took all of my lady's features, however, she inherited my eyes." — Diogo's diary.

My HC is that Diogo wrote about his wife and child. Beatriz/Mayara's parents couldn't raise her when she was born (of course, they were mortals) because she wasn't a normal human, she was the allegory of Brazil itself.
