it's only been two weeks of me trying it out, but i don't think i will lie if i say that starting to do little workouts during breaks at work was one of the best decisions of mine. all things considered. not only do i generally feel better after that, i also get more energy to then do my chinese lessons
#and that one break where i did the workout + did the lessons + managed to fell asleep for the last 15 minutes of it#was somehow the best break i ever had#besides this gives me an opportunity to workout more regularly even if just a little (stretching and moving is good for you i know right)#since before i took the 2 months long hiatus from working out because it was EXTREMELY HOT#i always felt a bit sad that i can't keep up regular work outs (the average ones i do at home) mostly because of work#just no time of energy to do them between shifts#and then not every day off i would manage to even remember to do anything#but on breaks? revolutionary#i never thought about it because i don't think#not twice not even once bestie#chattering

#animaniacs#meme#stretching#body maintenence#millenials#yakko warner#jokes aside#body maintenance is really important#me and my partner have made a concerted effort to start taking better care of ourselves this year#we're not trying to get skinny or get swole or anything related to appearance#we've watched our parents go through so many struggles with loss of mobility and other age related health issues#it really made us see that you only get one body and you can't take your health for granted#we started exercising regularly#exercise has so many benefits beyond how you look#I don't think my appearance has even changed much but I feel more capable#I have more stamina my back pain and joint stiffness is nearly gone and I'm much more flexible#I think 30 minutes of stretching is a bit much for most people but we do at least 10 minutes after each workout#every other day we tell each other how grateful we are that we're taking better care of ourselves#we feel so much better and doing anything is at least 15% easier#I just don't want aging to be painful#I don't necessarily like exercising but a good pair of headphones with music and audiobooks and youtube can make a world of difference#I never thought I'd be a gym rat but here we are#bodies are meant to move#also why are we like the only people at the gym to ever take time to stretch?#do other people lift weights and then just put up with being sore?#I'd rather not feel sore after exercising#plus stretching is a great way to cool down and improve your flexibility#health over thinness

i wish i was one of those people who enjoyed exercising in literally ANY form i'm so desperate but my audhd ass gets overwhelmed and disregulated by fucking EVERYTHING
#and i need to cross 5 hurdles before i can even BEGIN any kind of workout or exercise#yesterday after finally convincing myself to start i tried a new one and i couldn't do the first 2 moves#and guess what!!!!!! i sat down and cried on the floor for 15 minutes!!!!!!! like a fucking useless idiot :)))))#i'm so fucking sick of being like this why does EVERYTHING need to be this difficult#any of yall struggle with this??? please what do you do about this#to delete later#audhd#autism#adhd

I didn't get a workout in yesterday because of scheduling and I wasn't about to let today go by without putting some work in. And then cake work took forever (still not finished) and my pick-ups were late. I got a mile in. One, measly, mile.

I can’t believe I finished Leverage. I feel like this is going to be a show I put on in the background when I’m doing other stuff for years. It’s such a good show and I want to return to some earlier cons. But only after I watch Leverage Redemption. First, I’m going to take a short Leverage break and watch a 9 episode TV show.

Ya’ll ever meet someone who makes you want to smash your head through a wall?
#ooc;;#kid spent 35 minutes with a provider who usually spends about 10-15 minutes per patient#more than half of that was him going through his workout routine and asking what he can do#even though he'd just been told not to use his shoulder?#can I wrestle? can i run? Can I deadlift? Can I do bench presses?#how hard is dont use your shoulder my dude?#they tried telling him that this would be a great thing to discuss with his physical therapist but#he was also confused about why they wouldn't be able to operate and have him ready to compete in a tournament this weekend#he has had 2 surgeries in the past year idk how he doesn't know that you need imaging first usually and that recovery takes time
