I sometimes think its weird that everyone must have a 'favourite doctor'. I get the appeal, but how its so wide spread baffles me.

Theyre all one person, in the end, with each regeneration being all that came before and more, and a little different due to the experiences they had and the people theyve met, just how I am different from when I was 15 years old, but still the same.

I have a favourite doctor for conveniency reasons, mostly, 12- but even then, whats a 'favourite doctor'. My favourite performance? My favourite to have a fun time with? My favourite to make me aspire to be better? My favourite to laugh, my favourite to cry for? Theyre all different. I love 12 as much as I love 1 or 2 or 3 or 4. Maybe I have incarnations I dont feel as strongly for, but thats usually out of unfamiliarity with all they went through and by such an inability to truly grasp who the doctor was when they wore that face (e.g. my only experience with 8 being the tv movie) or because they amplify parts of the doctor Im less fond of (e.g. six being a little mean).

But in the end, theyre all of it anyway? All of the Doctor is mean, whether its the first doctor or the sixth or the tenth, all doctors are kind, whether its the second or fourth or 12th or 14th, all of the doctor has experienced grief, all of them is strong willed, brave, afraid.

I like the idea of having a 'favourite'. To me its a little like your favourite actors role, I love david tennants hamlet more than I like his alec hardy, but I still love his acting, period.

But this obsession of needing a favourite doctor, of needing to love one part of this beautiful, incredible character more than others, often it feels unfair to who they are. This grand person being reduced to a few years of their endlessly long life. To a single face.

Maybe that's what feels so real about thoschei. Companions tend to get attached to a face. To this one part. To the master the current doctor's body is secondary.

"Doesn't matter which face he was wearing, they're all the Doctor to me."

And they are, in fact, all the Doctor.

I love you, it's ruining my life

Kylian X black!fem!reader

Author's Note: This is the first part of a childhood friends to lovers series I've planned. I'm new to this, so bear with me and let me know what you think!

  I. December 2012

Every evening after school, Y/N and Kylian would race to the park. Their bags slung over their shoulders, their laughs ringing across the paved path that led to the park that had been their stomping grounds since she could walk. Bondy was in the periphery, both literally and metaphorically, but childhood in the city as she remembered it was vibrant, fun, and inextricable from Kylian Mbappé. 

  At 12 years old, her lack of female friendships meant that she was a shadow to the neighborhood boys. Kylian was one of them; his mother Fayza, and her own mother had worked in the local primary school at the same time briefly, thus forging a strong and constant friendship. It had occurred to her as an adult that it must’ve been a deliberate step from Fayza to invite her to Kylian’s 12th birthday party, given her mothers concern at the time that she didn’t have many friends. It was true that she was largely friendless; she was shy, slow to open up, and had her nose in a book most of the time. But that birthday party changed everything. All of a sudden, the loud, energetic boy that lived and breathed football was her best friend.  And that was that. 

The sky was a dull gray on that cold December day. Y/N and Kylian made their way to one of multiple tall and imposing apartment buildings that littered Bondy, and that she and Kylian’s families shared. Their earlier kick about in the park with some of the kids from school had been cut short thanks to the biting cold. 

Y/N looked down at the cobblestones, softly humming a melody that had been stuck in her head all day. Beside her, she could hear Kylian bouncing his football, the rhythmic thud echoing softly. They were walking in tandem silently, as was routine for them. Y/N liked that about their friendship,  that she didn’t need to have to make conversation just for the sake of making conversation. 

“Ugh, not that One Direction song again” Kylian groaned. 

Y/N looked up, her breath forming little clouds in the chilly air. “Shut up, you know they’re awesome. How��d you even know it was their song I was humming?”

The tip of Kylian’s nose was adorably pink. “Maybe because you’ve been singing it all day? You know you’re never even gonna meet Zayn, let alone marry him”  

Y/N let out an indignant sigh. “Yes, I will! When he comes to Paris for their next concert, you’ll see. He’ll fall in love immediately and we’ll get married and move to England and have babies”

Kylian looked at her like she was crazy.

She continued, sighing dreamily. “ And then Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall will be my best friends”

It had been drizzling slightly as they walked but the intensity of the rain increased suddenly. Kylian pulled his jacket off and draped it over her head. 

“You’ll catch a cold if you don’t stay dry” he said softly, and her heart almost burst. Then, more loudly, he said, “Ok, let’s say you marry Zayn. You’re going to have to fly between England and Spain a lot to watch me play. Why go through that? I say you divorce him and come live in Madrid with me”

Y/N burst out laughing. “How are you so sure you’ll play for Real Madrid?”

“I know I will” he said matter of factly. “And I know you’ll be a really good doctor, doing really cool things”

It was true, she’d  wanted to work in healthcare for as long as she remembered. Her favorite subjects in school were math and biology, sometimes chemistry. Besides, she liked the idea of a noble calling. Y/N was never loud and bold about her dreams, not like he was. She was pleased that he remembered that detail about her she rarely mentioned.

“So, in Madrid we’ll have a really big house with a really big pool” He continued, grinning. “We’ll let Ethan stay over, but only occasionally.”

Y/N stayed silent,  not letting her mind fantasize about such a future. 

Inside the apartment building they shared, they raced up the stairs and paused on the landing of the second floor. This was where Y/N’s apartment was located, and where they usually said their goodbyes before Kylian bounded up the stairs to the 4th floor. 

“Well, I’ll see you soon, yeah?” Y/N tugged at the fraying straps of her backpack before abruptly wrapping Kylian up in a hug. There would be 10 days of Christmas break, and although they lived two floors away from each other, there was no guarantee that they would see each other during that time. She would miss him, she knew. In those almost 2 years since his birthday party, Y/N and Kylian had grown inseparable. The neighborhood aunties had nicknamed them “the twins”, since one was rarely seen without the other. 

Kylian instinctively hugged her back, before pulling away. A broad and uncontrollable smile spread on his face as his eyes flickered to the ground and then back up to her. “Um.. actually, I’m traveling tomorrow” He said it in a hushed tone, even though the floor was completely empty and there was no chance that someone was eavesdropping on their conversation. 

“Traveling where?” Y/N frowned. Kylian hadn’t mentioned any travel plans for the break before. 

“To Madrid” He said with a grin.

Her eyes lit up. “Oh! Are you visiting your cousin there?”

“No, No. I’m going to go see Real Madrid. I was invited by the club, well by Zidane, actually. Papa and I are flying out tomorrow. It was a birthday surprise, they told me this morning” The words rushed out hurriedly, and Y/N could tell he was excited. 

This wasn’t the first time Kylian was being courted by football clubs. He was one of Europe’s most promising talents, after all. Especially in the last two years, he’d miss a couple days out of school to go see clubs in England, Spain and other cities in France with his parents. She didn’t know what went on during the visits, but he would always come back with exciting stories and  a glint in his eye that would last for days and weeks. She knew this one would be different though. This was Real Madrid, the club in whose jersey he slept at night. This was his dream come true. 

Y/N squealed and wrapped Kylian in a tighter hug, before  pulling away and lightly shoving his shoulder. “Oh my god. Congratulations, Kylian! I can’t believe you didn’t tell me!”

He grinned even more, shifting his weight from one leg to another. 

“I had to make sure it was real first” 

Y/N gave him an exaggerated frown.

“I’ll get you a souvenir from there. Something cool, I promise” He quickly said. 

She perked up at that before enveloping him in a third and final hug. “Have fun, okay. I know they’ll love you there” She murmured into his shoulder. They said their goodbyes and parted ways.

As she watched her best friend walk up the flight of stairs, it struck her:  this was it. Someday, he would go away and never come back. Bondy and everyone in it would just be a part of his origin story.

My story with 4na :)

Hey guys! So for this post I decided to share my story with my ED (ana). Plus some of my favourite thinspo! 🫶🏻

My journey started in 7th grade at 12 years old (I am now in University at 18yrs). Puberty hit, and I gained precisely 12kg, going from 45kg to 57kg. During a vacation in Spain that year, my parents invited their adult friends along with their skinny sons and daughters who bullied me for my weight, body, and preferences (music taste and related stuff).

Our parents were aware of the bullying but chose not to intervene. Instead, they would let them occasionally comment on my weight, comparing our bodies, which made my self-consciousness grow stronger. Prior to the bullying, I hadn't been self-conscious about my body, but afterward, I became determined to lose weight.

Upon returning from vacation, I had a routine check-up with the doctor who informed me that I was overweight and needed to shed some pounds. This news saddened me further, as I was already unhappy with my body. Determined to make a change, I began exercising and eating healthier in June. By September, I had managed to drop to 47kg, which brought me so much joy, though I still aimed to lose more weight.

I began skipping meals and exercising rigorously, especially as 8th grade commenced. Initially, I woke up at 6 a.m. every day to work out, although that habit disappeared quickly due to my love for sleeping and hate for early mornings. Nonetheless, I persisted in skipping meals and exercising, simply adjusting my workout schedule to other times of the day.

By then, my scale had stopped working, leaving me uncertain about my weight loss progress. However, in the middle of 8th grade, around May, I grew weary of the restrictive habits and attempted to reintroduce regular eating. Unfortunately, this led to significant weight gain. Come summer (August), I found myself reverting to old patterns of starving, exercising, binging, and repeating the cycle throughout 9th and 10th grade.

As a result, by 11th grade, I weighed 62kg. Upon visiting the doctor, he once again said that I was overweight and advised further weight loss. Despite my efforts, I found myself gaining it all back again. The recurring cycle of binging left me feeling constantly upset and discouraged.

Then, 12th started, lost more weight but then went back to 62kg.

Now I'm in University! I'm losing all this weight. I was 62.5kg when I started and now I'm currently 51.6kg, I need to get to 40kg which is my goal weight and I'm not going to binge this time!! Wish me luck!!

Thinking about what you were saying about 12; I try to be cautious of the fact that 12 was hated for a long time but even now he's definitely gaining popularity and there's people who love his era but spout off this nonsense about 13. And sometimes all I can think about is how much hate 13 would get for saying the same things as him. Remember when bill was concerned about missy literally being a mass murderer and he implied Bill is just as bad bc she eats meat? Can you imagine how much hate 13 would get for that 😭 and its the same in other eras, 13 would never get away with half the crap that was said to mickey, or making fun of Jackie supposedly being old, or abandoning jack, or yelling at Clara etc

I love 12 because he felt more alien to me than the previous Doctors, but you never hear discourse about his behaviour or the things he said. I like each Doctor being a bit different, its far more interesting that way, and if sometimes they are a bit of an asshole thats fine too, but it has to be fine for all of them not just the male Doctors.

All they talk about is how much they love a couple of his big speeches, but for 13, 6 years on they are still complaining about episodes from series 11 claiming they make her a terrible person. But what 7 years on theres nothing to complain about with 12?

Please we all know there is if you wanted to hold a grudge but we know it's a TV show somethings in an episode aren't great and we move on. Unless you're anti 13 then you never move on and have to make sure anyone who's watched the show knows how bad of a Doctor 13 is and anyone who goes to watch it for the first time you try to ruin their experience and make sure they see all the bad before they have watched it. But they don't do that with any of the other Doctors even though you could.

When it comes to polls these days 12's eps somehow now after all the hate when it aired are supposedly the greatest episodes of Who ever written, and he's one of the best Doctors... which is fine but it also doesn't feel genuine since they weren't saying that at the time. It feels more like a a rebuke of 13 more than a love of 12 a lot of the time, and why? because at least he was still a male Doctor.

I have read more times than I cant count... Doctor Who died at the end of series 10... Why? You hated the 12th Doctors run when it aired... now you hate the 13th Doctors run,,, but somehow 12 is still a legitimate Doctor and 13 doesn't count? Please that shit is just misogyny.

And thats not even going back further through NuWho... the 9th, 10th and 11th Doctors runs also had questionable episodes, questionable morals at times, and a lot of questionable lines of dialogue.

my doctor who timeline (that took me 3 days to figure out)

17 may 2008: i begin my travels with the 10th doctor and donna in series 4 episode 7 (the unicorn and the wasp). i am only 18 years old. when donna leaves in november 2008, 7 tardis months have passed and 7 real life months have passed

december 2008: the doctor and i travel alone without a 3rd companion. this time period comprises the specials throughout 2009 and up to january 2010. i get to witness his regeneration into the 11th doctor. during this period, 1 tardis year passes and 1 real life year passes

3 april 2010: not counting the little jaunt to see child amy pond (which i presume takes a few days in tardis time), we arrive in series 5 episode 1 (the eleventh hour). we meet amy pond & rory williams. we travel with them for about 4 years in tardis time and 2.5 years in real time. this is changed from the show where the timeline is more like 10 years tardis time and 6 years real life time.

29 september 2012: series 7 episode 5 (the angels take manhattan) is the beginning of my break from the doctor. he goes to be a depressed hermit or something while i am stuck back in the real world for 6-7 months.

30 march 2013: i am back with the doctor. swapping the ponds for modern clara in series 7 episode 6 (the bells of st john). our adventures with clara last about 2 weeks on average and clara comes with us every wednesday. both clara and i witness his regeneration into the 12th doctor. by her departure at the end of series 8 (which i personally changed for my dr) it will have been 3 tardis years for clara but 4 tardis years for me since i remain on the ship even when she leaves. 1.5 real years for the both of us.

december 2014: once again i am traveling alone with the doctor without any extra companions. i begin on the christmas special 2014 (last christmas) and end december 2015 on series 9 episode 12 (hell bent). 1 tardis year has passed and 1 real year has passed.

december 2015: i shift to another dr because this one has worn itself out

— jasper was born at 12:36pm on 12th june 1971 to alexander morgan, the uk’s financial secretary to the treasury, and his wife jillian, a london university dean. he is their only child and even though he felt pretty lonely when he was younger, it didn’t bother him so much in his teenage years.

— his parents were always working, always stressed, and never really had any time for him. he spent a lot of time with his maternal grandparents, who only lived on the next street over, and was practically raised by them. jasper also couldn’t think of anything more boring and frustrating that working in government and always deflected his father’s efforts to influence him. his relationship with alexander wasn’t great but it wasn’t terrible either and jasper got along better with his mother.

— whilst staying at his grandparents, jasper was introduced to films. his grandfather phillip was a huge film buff and they’d watch a classic together every night jasper stayed and then spend time afterwards discussing them. his favourites include to kill a mockingbird (1962), casablanca (1942), and one hundred and one dalmatians (1961). he is also a fan of buster keaton, harold lloyd, and charlie chaplin.

— it was his passion for films that inspired jasper to want to become an actor. his parents were disappointed, wanting him to become a lawyer or doctor or politician, but neither of them had the time to argue, so let jasper join a local drama club and partake in school shows.

— he also went to a private school that he felt indifferent about. he liked the majority of subjects, mostly english and history, but loathed to partake in sports, which always had a big emphasis put on it. he left school with straight a’s, which he worked incredibly hard to get, usually pulling all-nighters to study and asking his grandfather for help with revising maths.

— jasper then attended the royal academy of dramatic art in london where he exceeded in developing and honing his acting skills. his parents only paid for most of it, so on the weekends, jasper worked in a nearby hotel to earn extra money and found that he really enjoyed it. he befriended the owner’s son callum without knowing who he was and before long jasper was friends with the owner, leonard, too. leonard became a mentor to jasper, teaching him important life skills and knowledge that would help him in both his hotel job and in the real world. he treated jasper like a son and once he left that job to pursue acting full time, he would visit leonard and callum whenever he could, even bringing them back souvenirs and recipes from abroad whenever he was filming on location.

— at the age of 24, jasper got his first major acting job in a period miniseries where he played the outcast son of a victorian socialite trying to start a new life. his performance was well-received by viewers and critics, which impressed his parents, who finally accepted their son’s career choice. this set him up for his first film role, which he travelled to italy for, and found to be the most incredible experience of his life.

— at 26 jasper began a relationship with a female co-star named natalie. they played lovers in a tumultuous relationship in a high-budget film shot in london and that relationship transferred to their personal lives. they fell hard and fast for each other, sneaking kisses in their dressing rooms, making any excuse to see each other on their days off, hiding away in hotel rooms, and eating out late at diners. but things eventually became strained; they began to find out things they didn’t like about each other, like personality traits or the way they did things, and when filming was over jasper stayed in the city and natalie flew out to los angeles for another project- they never saw or spoke to each other again. their relationship lasted seven months and resulted in a daughter that jasper knew nothing of until very recently.

— the aforementioned role was also the one that got jasper recognised as a serious actor with so much potential for a bright future as a superstar. he started getting more jobs offers and being booked on talk shows and after promoting the film he flew out to new york city to take a supporting role in another film. at this point jasper was so full of energy and enthusiasm for his new-found stardom that he rarely took breaks between jobs and at it was a good excuse to get his mind off of natalie.

— filming in nyc made jasper fall in love with the place. he applied to work in the states and made the move as soon as he could and was offered an off-broadway role fairly quickly: this would be his first stage show since he was in the midst of his training. it posed a challenge, but one that jasper grasped with both hands and took as a very valuable opportunity. five years later, he’d earned his first ever award- a tony- and was officially a citizen of the usa. he bought himself an apartment in manhattan and that’s where he stayed until moving to aurora bay, often returning to london both for work and because he was homesick.

— jasper never thought it would happen, but he became an oscar winner at the age of 38, having got the award for playing the lead role as a corrupt detective in a film noir that slowly began to lose his sanity as the film progressed. the film itself got rave reviews, as did jasper’s performance, and even today he still can’t believe that all happened. he keeps his oscar on the bookshelf in his room besides a photograph of him in costume with the director, who was a long-term friend, by his side.

— not long after his 44th birthday, jasper decided to retire from acting. he felt like he’d given all he could to the profession and hated leaving everything he ever knew and worked so hard for behind, but also knew that a new journey was close to beginning. somewhere in the back of his mind, influenced by his early adulthood, jasper wanted to run his own hotel or even something like a b&b, but didn’t really know where to start.

— jasper had once filmed on location in aurora bay and fell in love with the place, so when he found an opportunity to buy a hotel there he snapped it up. the seascape hotel had been in the same family since it opened in 1974 and its current owner could no longer afford the upkeep. jasper payed above price and vowed to put the place back on the map and even honoured the family by keeping the hotel’s name. 

— he spent almost two years renovating the seascape and spent a lot of money on it, too, but the final product was something he was incredibly proud of. he hosted an opening night party for the residents of aurora bay and even invited some celebrity friends as well as local newspapers to write about the event.

— despite being the owner, jasper takes a very hands-on approach. when needed, he’ll take on the role of waiter, cleaner, and bartender, and ensure he does everything so that his guests are happy: no request is too big or too small. he will even provide entertainment in the evenings, playing the piano and singing to accompany the music.

— his accent is evidently british, but having lived in new york for so long it easily slips into an american one; jasper doesn’t notice, but people who don’t know him initially find it confusing. for fun, he developed his own transatlantic accent and uses that to amuse people especially when doing old hollywood themed evenings in the hotel’s lounge.

— he can also do scarily uncanny impressions of a variety of people with best ones including christopher walken, al pacino, jeremy irons, liam neeson, and james stewart.

— jasper is ferociously optimistic and always wants to see the best in a situation and also the best in people. sometimes he finds it difficult, but he's glad he's surrounded by people that give him different perspectives on things and different kinds of advice. he's also happy to return the favour when people need him.

— jasper owns a black 1970 ford mustang mach 1 and loves to take it on long drives up and down the coast. he makes sure that the car is always in immaculate condition and is working exactly the way it did when it left the factory.

— on a very rare occasion, jasper will recreate some of his favourite and most iconic scenes from the film, tv, and theatre productions he’s been in on stage in the hotel lounge. he’ll even dress up costume.

— even though whisky is his favourite drink, jasper is a cocktail connoisseur. he loves experimenting with new recipes and tries them out in the hotel bars to see if his guests and staff like them before implementing them on the menu. he loves sweet and fruity cocktails the most, especially ones with orange, passion fruit, and strawberry flavours.

— whilst he likes most music genres, jasper loves all the old school stuff from the 1950s and 1960s. it reminds him of listening to his grandparents’ record player as a kid and dancing with his grandmother as they baked together.

— jasper is a great listener and helping others to solve their problems gives him a purpose. no matter how bit or small the issue he’s there to simply listen or give advice; he also finds it a lot easier to do this than to face his own problems or accept help from others.

— jasper has an instagram account with 28 million followers. he doesn’t know how he has that many, but he gets excited about it often. he posts a lot of photos of aurora bay, especially the beach, as well as photos from his time on film/tv sets, screencaps from his favourite films, his favourite books and current reads, and his piano playing skills amongst other things. and even though the seascape has its own account, but with not nearly as many followers, jasper will often post about events, drinks offers, etc. on his personal one as he knows it’ll reach a wider audience.

wanted connections

— biological daughter: jasper’s daughter was born 25/26 years ago after a seven month relationship with a co-star (see bio above). the two of them split up before jasper could find out he was going to be a father and has been oblivious ever since. until his daughter shows up, having flown all the way from london, at the seascape saying her mother has died but finally admitted who her father was. she wants a relationship with jasper and to get to know him, so is willing to stay in aurora bay to see how things progress. everything else about his daughter (such as her own profession) is utp and anything can be discussed! — (any white or half-white female fc would work for her, so bring whoever you think would fit!)

— seascape hotel employees: jasper has an incredible team working for him and treats them all with kindness and respect no matter their role. as well as a general manager (who would be jasper’s right hand), he would also need receptionists, bar managers (one for inside bar and one for poolside bar) and staff, waiters/waitresses, housekeeping staff, chefs, masseurs, personal trainers, and lifeguards. — (unless stated, there can be several of the same positions, but feel free to bring in any position you think fits!)

'Ello! It's me again, giving my VERY long live stream review of Doctor Who, the Wild Blue Yonder.

(I don't do trailers or ANY spoilers for episodes, so it's an honest, gut reaction review RIGHT out of the gates for this one haha)

SPOILERS BELOW:

Once again, my first essay is this: I really, really miss watching it "live" with other fans. And, after a whole week of being active with the fandom, I've realized that spoilers are INSTANT. I couldn't watch this episode right when it was released on Disney plus and I was spoiled JUST by opening Tumblr to start this post. Could I have blocked the tags? Yeah, but I was going to watch the episode only three hours after it had went up, so I assumed I could avoid the worst of it. ANYWAY, my point stands... I'm really going to miss watching it with other fans because I have to make posts like this AND because spoilers are a problem.

NOW THEN.

1. HISTORICAL EPISODE. YES? PROBABLY? IS THAT GOING TO BE NEWTON??? OH HECK YES, THE APPLE FELL IT'S HIM. I looooooove DW historical episodes, oh my god.

2."But don't worry. He's got a time machine, which means he can blame me for all eternity." Donna Noble, stay sassy forever.

3. I CALLED NEWTON. Heck yes!!!!

4. Donna's and the Doctor's chemistry really reigns supreme to me. Now, I wouldn't necessarily pair Donna with 11th or 12th, the dynamic would be wildly different (huh, one day I'll write an essay about that), but the tenth Doctor needed Donna and the fourteenth Doctor appreciates that. It's really, really interesting and so lovely to see, honestly.

7. "The TARDIS played us a war song". Woah boy, here we go, PLOT.

5. It would be the Doctor to mess up history to THAT sort of extreme, wouldn't it lmao. "Mavity" to "gravity" is just too great. Aww, bye Newton! I wish we got more of him.

6. Yo the TARDIS is PISSED!!! Jeez, of course it's possible to have literally ANYTHING happen to the TARDIS, but I never consider "giant flame the likes of which a rocket could fly from" on the docket.

8. Ya know, I can't remember if I've ever seen the TARDIS's top light go on. And also, kudos to the TARDIS for the adorable "ding" noise when it did so, made me smile.

9. Bu-bu-budget. Holy. Cow. The space ship looks so good! Just insane.

10. Donna: "Was it me, or was Isaac Newton hot?" The Doctor: "He was, wasn't he... Oh, is that who I am now?" .... Donna: "well it was never that far from the surface, mate." RTD, as always, SAID "GAY RIGHTS" and I'm here for it. Very much reminded of the Doctor's infamous Shakespeare episode with Martha. "56 academics just punched the air"! But really, if I had heard a conversation like this when I was younger, I would be sobbing. Even if I'm a woman, just having a casual conversation in terms of liking the same sex is so valuable.

11. Why are we constantly losing the TARDIS. 13's era was also infamous for it.

12. Aww them fighting hurt... And you know what hurt more? Watching the Doctor comfort Donna. I mean, it was perfect, but it took SO LONG for the Doctor to be wiling to get there. I love character growth, even 15 years later.

13. "Go and kick its arse" HECK YES, DONNA. You got that right!

14. Doctor: "I know 57,000,000,205 [languages]." MY HEADCANON. Oh, my good old headcanon. So the TARDIS translates for humans but the Doctor knows the languages! I MEAN. It's confirmed!!! AH. I feel like some people would be disappointed by that but it's still cool to know that the Doctor DOES speak different languages. (Yo, my Academy Era fans, could you imagine the Doctor learning all that with the Deca? The Master is losing his mind as we speak.)

15. Once again, a million gold stars to everyone who did the music. It's so FULL.

16. This is a personal thing, but I love when the Doctor has moments that make the title "Time Lord" make sense. The whole "maybe time slowed down?" "No, I'd feel it in my bones." Like, YES, a Time Lord feeling that kind of thing makes sense, thank you!

17. "Allons, as idiots say, y!" oh my god Donna I'd marry you, I swear. Thank you for the sass. Also love the fact that Donna is driving the cart. No idea why, it just makes total sense.

18. Donna: "That's my family over there [one hundred trillion years away]". I have words about Donna having a family, I swear to you, but mostly it's this... Donna's dedication and love for her family is exactly what she needed in her life and I support her whole heartedly. It's beautiful, and perfect, and I do wonder how much of that dedication to keep her family safe comes from the Doctor.

19. I don't know if it's specifically a call back, but 14 licking the "dangerous" thingy felt like a 13 moment and I damn near teared up. Now, him faking being hurt by that? That was either 9 or 12, I can't decide lmao.

20. I'm about 25 minutes into the episode but I sincerely don't know what way this plot is going. We got a goal of "find the TARDIS by removing the danger", we've changed the word "gravity" to "mavity", and we're stuck at the edge of the universe... Love a good mystery, but I'm really wondering where this episode is going.

21. I'm unsure if David Tennant filmed the second season of Good Omens before or after DW, but I JUST saw Crawley's iconic swagger as he was walking away from Donna and I'm here for it haha.

22. I'm getting "half the ship inside a warm hole / Missy, the Doctor, and Bill's" plotline vibes. Does time move differently throughout the ship, just as Donna thought?

23. Donna: "Do you miss home? Gallifrey?" Doctor: "I suppose... But that got complicated." SAY IT, DOCTOR. Please, please, PLEASE. I'd love to hear that parts of 13's plotline live on, PLEASE. I know that's my desire, personally, but I'd kill for it. *Sigh*... But by being cryptic, it might make fans go back to watch her era, and I'd love that too.

24. Hmmm going off of #22... I'm thinking clones instead? OH NOT CLONES. NOT CLONES. Aliens! For sure aliens!

25. Can we talk about the cgi? I mean, it's pretty damn good considering what we had in the past. How crazy is that? Good cgi? Also, kudos to our main leads for their acting here! Always fun to see actors doppelgange themselves lol

26. I am SO FREAKED OUT RIGHT NOW. I didn't know this was a horror movie thing! It's December!

27. WE KEPT THE FLUX. WE K E P T T H E F L U X. We have the Timeless Child AND the Flux! We have the Doctor being so, so heartbroken about the Flux, out loud! Oh my god, I could cry. Really, I could give a great big shout. I know RTD mentioned that he was going to keep it, but he didn't have to do it so blatantly and make it a plot point! That's so, so g r e a t. AND- AND it leaves no room for discussion about 13's era! It still has continuality - it's engrained into the Doctor, even with a new writer and the next new writer and the next Doctor!!!! NO ONE CAN TAKE THE TIMELESS CHILD ARC FROM ME IF IT MEANS IT LIVES ON IN ANOTHER DOCTOR. HA.

I will write more about that because, really, it's so important to me. It such a small thing, but 13 Doctor fans can have a good cry tonight. It's so validating.

28. Oh wait, nope, hold on... Not done with point #27. The Doctor punching at the walls after hearing about the Flux and the Timeless child again? Screaming in rage, in pain, in everything that 13 couldn't do - that 13 refused to do, because she couldn't let anyone know she was hurting? 13 kept her walls so high that she tried to convince herself that everything was alright. 14 is the effects of that, a complete change, a metamorphous into that pain and I am LIVING for it. 13 couldn't scream, not properly, but 14 can.

29. Hehe. The Doctor's biggest strength, their intellect, needed to be squashed to save the day? Nope, no way, not in a million years could ANY Doctor do it. One single question and they've gotta solve it until it's done. Side note, if any reader can't tell, I am having a GREAT time. I may not have expect to be scared, but I'm loving it!

30. WILF. WILF. OH MY GOD. Aww wow, just amazing. Just amazing.

Summary: It's nothing like I ever expected. No one was given any hints about this episode and I find myself... Pretty happy with it. It's a convoluted plot, that's for sure, but it was fun as all heck. Scary! I mean, heart pounding, VERY close to the Midnight episode scary, but good! Random! Oddly randomly, I really don't know where to rank this episode. It feels a bit like it was thrown in just to have an episode, but that also doesn't necessarily make it bad.

I do think a lot of it was cushioned by some really good acting and characterization. The plot was slow going in a strange way, once again cushioned by nostalgia and everyone's need to see the tenth Doctor and Donna again. BUT, episodes like this make me excited (and nervous) to see how RTD is going to handle a brand new Doctor.

I will have a speech about RTD keeping the Timeless Child. A very long speech. But know that I, personally, am very thankful.

some stuff that came up while i was reading the comments and discussions about the new DW episode, and stuff i've re-discovered thanks to other people:

12th Doctor talking to Bill in s10e11 literally said "We are the most civilised civilisation in the universe, we're billions of years beyond your petty human obsession with gender and its associated stereotypes". this was in a conversation about Master/Missy. so, it's not like the Doctor has just become non-binary, shit was popping a few seasons back, everyone just forgot.

once again 12, while regenerating said "Doctor, I let you go". and it's after like a whole lot of anxiety about change and stuff. this really contradicts what Donna and Rose said about him not being able to just let go. ok, maybe he didn't "just" let go and there was a bit of struggle, but still, the words had been said before. pretty sure there is a whole bunch of relevant dialogue in the 13th's era too, but i'm too tired to look now.

i saw this somewhere really deep in a thread on twitter. a theory that the whole "a male presenting time lord will never understand" was more directed towards all the male bros who keep insisting that the Doctor is a white cis man, and can't move on and let go of the old stereotype. it makes sense in this context, but, GAWD, i would've never figured that out by myself, and it felt really weird and sexist, and completely misdirected. I think RTD should've introduced a different male character and thrown that at him instead of the Doctor tbh.

Doctor Who has made a lot of exciting announcements recently but a lot of the specifics of what these projects will look like has been left open to speculation. So here is my

LIST OF RTD2 PREDICTIONS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

My source for all of this is that I made it the fuck up. Read at your own risk.

Who is this for?

First things first. Usually a new showrunner’s first job would be to introduce old fans to the new face of the show while also simultaneously introducing new fans to the show for the first time. My prediction here is that those two jobs will be split between the 60th Trilogy and the 8 episodes of Series 14 proper. As in, the 60th anniversary exists to reintroduce old fans to the show, whether they’ve kept up with it or not. Meanwhile, series 14 will serve as a mostly standalone experience that can be enjoyed both buy new and old fans alike.  zooming in on the 60th specifically I think that it is being designed in a way to attract older fans who stopped watching sometime after RTDs initial run, by making it look like a superficial return to the glory days of series 4. But as Ill also explain more below I think in a lot of ways the 60th anniversary specials will serve to catch those fans up on how this doctor has emotionally changed and grown over the 12 years since we last saw David Tennant as the Doctor.

Is Neil Patrick Harris The Toymaker?

Yea I think so but also that’s not really the point. I think whether he is the Toymaker or not, we can safely assume that he’s the one behind the doctors regeneration being weird, that he is the true big bad of the trilogy, and that he has some kind of sinister reason for wanting to return the doctor to this famous face. Moreover even if he’s not the Toymaker I’m predicting he’ll have some weird reality warping powers like the Toymaker does. He’s not the Master. Neither is Gwilliam. We won’t see the master til 2025 at least.

“I don’t know who I am anymore.”

Since the finale of Series 12, the Doctor has been struggling with accepting their own identity and her own understanding of their past . 13 seemed to make peace with these things at the end of Flux, but being forced to wear this face from their past and strange clothes, I think will dredge up those thoughts of not being in control of their own identity.

And if the Toymaker is deliberately attacking The Doctor well… that would have been par for the course for the Tenth Doctor, but the 11th Doctor spent a lot of time trying to erase the Legend of the Doctor from record. Specifically so that he and his friends wouldn’t be targets like this. Will this evoke the righteous fury of a timelord we know Tennant for or the frustration of a man who believes he’s part of the problem?

And of course. The companion being targeted is the one he harmed. The one he made forget him. The one that could die just from him warning her about this new danger. The 12th doctor faced dilemmas and repeatedly had to learn to respect his companions’ wishes and learn to let them go. And I think seeing so many of the Fam thriving in POTD only hammered that point home. The Doctor would not have erased Donna’s memory while she pleaded with him not to if he’s faced with that again. I don’t think he could.

My point being that the 60th seems perfectly designed to highlight how the character of The Doctor has changed since RTD and Tennant were last the ones telling this story. I think a lot of people are expecting RTD to kind of… clean up chibnall’s mess but I disagree. I think he’s gonna take the most compelling emotional beats for the character, highlight how what they’ve been through has changed him, and then use the momentum of that angst and inner conflict to launch the Doctor forward into the next arc.

The 60th’s Plot and Pacing

The 60th is gonna be a trilogy, right?

PART ONE: So the Doctor’s trying to track down who or what interfered with his regeneration, but he’ll quickly be sidetracked by the other stuff going on before he can learn anything definitive. Yasmin Finney’s character finds Beep the Meep’s ship and is trying to figure out what he’s up to. And ofc Wilf and Sylvia are trying to make sure Donna stays out of weirdness and doesn’t remember anything. I think the alien wraith soldier dudes from the trailers will be closing in on the Nobles, but slowed down by UNIT, through the episode too. By the end of the first special, it’ll be clear that Beep the Meep is a bad guy, the other aliens that we just stopped (or only pissed off) weren’t bad guys, and something will happen that’ll trigger Donna’s memory.

So then special #2, Donna is Donna again, but of course she’s dying. But she’s in a state of grace, only occasionally glitching out and collapsing from pain in her head. The Doctor, Wilf and her are trying to find a solution while also dealing with Beep, who’s building the big ticket from the trailer for some nefarious reason. The Doctor is also bring haunted by the Toymaker and more things from his past are showing up, out of place, which the Doctor does not have time to figure out. Things will come down to the wire. And either Beep will be defeated OR Donna is saved but not both. And something happens to break The Toymaker’s control over what’s going on.

The third episode will be trippy and weird and fun. I think we’ll be fully in the Toymaker’s realm. But his connection with the Doctor will be broken. Whatever he did to force the Doctor into this face and this fun little outfit will be coming undone. His own face will be shifting between the regenerations of the past and the future alike, as he battles the ghosts of his past through the Toymaker’s realm. Eventually he wins, of course, via the combined best traits of all his faces and all his friends. But I do think Donna will die. No way around that, I don’t think. And a lonely 15th Doctor will return to the TARDIS. But with a bit more hope than I’m describing here.

Fun and Familiar Faces

I don’t think Tennant, Tate, and Cribbins (RIP) are the only returning cast members in the 60th.

I’m gonna go ahead and say that RTD pulled some kind of miracle and convinced all the living doctor actors to return for the third part of the trilogy. Do I think that’s true? No but this is a post of wild predictions I’m making all this up. I’m saying we’ll see ALL of them. Yes all of them.

Amy, Rory, Clara, Rose, Nardole and/or Bill will all show up specifically because it doesn’t make sense. The Toymaker is using his reality warping abilities to bring them here. Like Donna, when the Toymaker is defeated they will fade from the Doctor again. But they’ll be able to give him something that makes the parting easier.

Beep and the Toymaker won’t be the only weird niche characters either but if I knew who specifically to name they wouldn’t be weird and obscure now would they? These would be more like cameos or have a weirdly specific story purpose I couldn’t possibly predict though.

I think Kate Stewart will be in it along with Martha Jones. I don’t think every member of the Companion support group will return but they’ll AT LEAST be namedropped as how Kate met Martha. I think the torchwood team will get referenced as well. Though here’s the thing… this last group is a thing I’m not predicting for the 60th but rather for …

Series 14

Which won’t be called that. It’ll be called Series 1 of the 15th Doctor. But here’s what I think for this season. I think it’ll be very structurally similar to what RTD did before, but with the fat trimmed and a STRONG focus on a serialized character arcs that continue from one episode to the next. Going episode by episode I think it’ll look something like this.

The Christmas Special- this’ll be Doctor Who at its biggest and most festive and fun BUT more importantly this is the episode more than anything else that’ll be trying to draw in completely new fans. It’ll be Ruby Sunday’s story more than the Doctor’s. Think Rose and Christmas invasion rolled into one story and on Disney budget.

Future- I think the near future political episode we’ve seen set photos from will be early in the series and will largely focus on some scary realities of the present and offering a possibly hopeful vision for how they’ll eventually be conquered.

Historical- I think the obligatory trip to the past will focus on social issues in some way rather than “ooh what if a historical figure met an alien but thought it was a creature from folklore instead!” Like a lot of the historicals were in RTD’s first run.

CLASSIC ENEMY- real UNIT introducing invasion hours. Ruby Sunday will really be tested in her role as companion of the Doctor while the Doctor themself is in their element, facing the devil they know. Extra drama? UNIT being allied with Graham’s support group means that Ruby will become aware she’s not the first earth girl to travel with the Doctor.

Real character building hours- think “Fathers Day” or “Amy’s choice”. This one will be a little slower and really develop why Ruby’s relationship with the Doctor is different from past companions. It’ll also further whatever the Series Arc mystery is and. Big prediction here. The Doctor will start to suspect that there’s answers to the big mystery in the Fob Watch from Flux. The context of this will be explained to Ruby and new viewers.

Experimental Episode- think “Blink” or “Sleep No More”. Good seasons of doctor who need at least one episode that really fucks with your idea of how a doctor who story should be structured. And if RTD doesn’t stay true to that I’ll be annoyed. Though, that said, I don’t think it should come in the form of a Doctor-lite story because we’re getting spin-offs soon and those will more than fill that void.

And then of course. The two part finale….

Finale Cliffhanger

Similar to the centenary and the 60th I think the finale will have multiple villains all pop up at once. One will be a classic monster, another will be original to this season. One or both will have been established in a previous episode. The newer villain will be like. Giving UNIT trouble on the ground. The older ones will take Ruby Sunday. The Doctor will be forced to run and fully convinced that they must open the Fob Watch and absorb old memories to solve this mess.

And that’s it. That’s not how I expect part one of that finale to end that’s how I expect the season to end. 3 way cliffhanger leading into

The Spin-offs

RUBY SUNDAY VS THE DALEKS… or whatever the Classic Villain is. There’s a rumor that doctor who monsters are getting their own spin-offs. But like? Doctor who needs a hero to give hope and charm to the story. So. I think Ruby Sunday is gonna get a whole show where she’s gotta face down the Dalek Empire. That’s what I think. But she’ll also get a new companion of her own so this can be viewed as a stand alone story, separate from Ruby’s adventures with the Doctor.

U.N.I.T. - spiritual successor to Torchwood but now under Kate Stewart’s management. Instead of being more adult in a oversexualized way it’s gonna be darker in a more “superheroes aren’t real. The Doctor and jack always leave eventually. Your greatest defenders are an underfunded group of adults who don’t know what the hell they’re doing.” Kinda vibe. The season starts with a new recruit helping secure a partial victory against the villains introduced in the main show and by the end of the season the new recruit, Martha, Gwen, Kate Stewart etc are facing Cybermen or Sontarans or some major threat that they definitely can’t handle cleanly without the Doctor.

THE SECRET DOCTOR - Jo Martin Doctor series where she fights gods and monsters at the behest of Division, eventually culminating in her attempting to leave and uncovering a secret that helps the 15th doctor in the present day. She also gets her own companion so this can be viewed as THAT character’s story, separate from the LORE.

Series 15 and Beyond

We return to the 15th doctor in the 2024 Christmas special and it leaves a lot unresolved. The Doctor gets a new companion in series 15. New spin-offs about old companions and new heroes facing classic enemies, maybe even the Master gets a show, all pop up and intersect with the Doctor, Ruby, the UNIT crew, etc in small ways. eventually we build up to an Avengers level crossover that puts Journeys End to SHAME.

It's kind of strange how disconnected from doctor who I am now. This used to be my entire preteen years. I still have doctor who books on my shelf, a day of the doctor poster shoved in the back of my closet, and DVD of a Dr. Who movie, and episode in audio format in my stack of music CDs under my desk. It used to be so special to me, I remember waiting for new 12th doctor episodes to air on BBC America back in like 2014 lol. It's kinda sad, really. How I'm not into any of this any more. 12-14 year old would be appalled lol.

So an autistic 4 year old suddenly went missing January 12th, around 12:30 pm. His mother had left the camper they were in to use the restroom elsewhere leaving Phenix with her bf at the time. Idk how he vanished all of a sudden, whether he wandered out alone or someone could of taken him but let's see what astrology can tell us about this case. Unfortunately I don't have his natal chart info which would help so much more to narrow down the chart but for now what we have is last time he was seen and we will go off that.

In astrology the moon is what we look to for missing child cases, so we start 1st with the moon.

Moon in Aquarius in the 10th house:

That's interesting, so something peculiar must of happened. Like it's possible that a friend of the mother/family could be responsible for this. Bc Aquarius is our friendships. It's possible at the time, Phenix was thinking he wanted to find someone to play with and was feeling very trusting at this time willing to do anything to make sure his "friends" are happy, maybe he saw someone else and wanted to make them his friend. In general Aquarius moons would choose friends over their own families sometimes, bc they feel that their family misunderstands them so that's why they often show more loyalty in friendships bc they have broken family life. Maybe he felt safety around random people he met and was willing to find shelter with them.

The 10th house is here bringing the public/authority figures/jobs/careers/establishments into play. Usually I relate the 10th house to our public image, any government job such as doctors, nurses, social workers, things of that nature where they have an important role in the publics wellbeing, it's a professional type atmosphere that the 10H brings. So this is confusing me a little. But whatever Aquarius being in the 10th house would represent can tell us a lot about what could of happened here.

What this can also show is that if Phenix didn't have any serious life threatening accident, he may just be around people who aren't socially connected/aware/loner types, who don't keep up with what's going on in today's times. They would be very unique, strange, out of the loop people. They could def be malicious but at this point I'm just brainstorming here, if anyone would like to share what they see that would be appreciated.

Moon conjunct MC:

That's very weird bc moon conjunct MC is very similar to moon in the 10th. But with Aquarius as the moon is being very specific as what type of influence the moon is having. This tells me that he will be def found, moon is the missing child and MC is law enforcement the public eye. So conjunct means that they are working very well together, which brings about a positive outcome. This is not to say that he will be found alive tho, but all I know is that when there's positive aspects to the MC in missing persons cases and it usually shows that the person will be found. MC is much like the sun in astrology but different purposes obviously bc they are both visible to the public eye, which means that these people in missing persons cases when connected to these placements positively will not be hidden away, they will be out in the open for everyone to see.

With Aquarius here this will be a very unique case.

Moon conjunct Pluto in the 10th house:

That's interesting Pluto is also on the cusp of late degree Capricorn and early degree of Aquarius.

Pluto in Aquarius would be, destruction/transformation of technology, consciousness, intellect, the way the world works, individuals/individuality, the way we connect to each other. Pluto in Aquarius in general may have an ego problem, may be controlling in some way when it comes to their beliefs, abilities. Planet Pluto in Aquarius may clash with one another, making Aquarius traits more forceful and stubborn.

But also being on the cusp of Capricorn 2 things can happen, we are either nearing the end of a cycle that is almost complete which would be what Pluto in Capricorn has caused in the world already to transform societal structures, expose cooperations, transform the way we use money etc. Or Aquarius (early degrees) which would be something new and still at the stage that we are undeveloped, free, naive.

Moon conjunct Pluto tells me that someone is very controlling, resourceful, intuitive, emotional, manipulative, obsessive. Maybe Phenix is with another person imo, they see him as very unique and are able to control him.. this is just something that popped into my head as I'm researching this. And it may have something to do with money being involved, a job of some sort. Especially during Capricorn season everyone wants to be more successful, rich, stable, and they're also more insecure about their ability to lead their lives and attract money/success. So this will be a big theme for whatever situation took place.

Moon 10th square Jupiter in the 12th:

This to me this seems like he may have wandered far away, possibly where he's somewhat hidden since the 12th house is the unseen realm. Maybe he fell into the water or something like that. But in general what this tells me is that he traveled or was taken quite a distance away, unlike mercury which would be closer by. Jupiter shows us something that's foreign to us, different from us culturally etc. Maybe Phenix was in a weird mood this day being very dramatic, curious, overdoing things, overestimating himself, testing limits. This would basically place us in a position where we lower our standards where sometimes we know better not to do certain things, but during this transit our standards are low. Like for example I find myself overeating/being lazier during moon square or opposite Jupiter and/or Venus transit, even tho I've been consistently trying very hard to be strict with intermittent fasting routine. But it can be a deep physiological thing with the moon here like our hormones or emotional state.

It's possible that if anyone were to see Phenix while he wandered off they would know that he was alone and in a bad place, bc during the time he went missing he wasn't wearing any shoes. So the ascendant is our looks/personality, maybe with the moon here they just saw him as an abandoned/bad child I guess? Bc square is a harsh aspect that basically makes things stand out like a sore thumb, but also it's an energetic transit that's would make a person not react to things in a balanced, fair way, it shows frustration and force.

Thankfully this 4 year old sweet boy was found safe 2 days later, from what I know is that he was found in the woods nearby and he didn't have any immediate visible injuries. They are saying that Phenix will not be going back to his mother at this time and is in custody to rule out where he should be placed. He may be in foster care which imo that would be a better idea than to be at risk for being lost again.. idk a lot about his mother but if even law enforcement doesn't trust giving back the baby to his mother than that says a lot. And I agree with them. Motherhood is very hard I must admit, but there's not a second that I don't worry about my child and where he is. The article also states that it's to early to know whether someone will be charged or not so that's interesting.

This is the 1st case I've done where the child was found safe, so yeah def a unique one for me lol I'm so glad he's back home with his family and hopefully the mother will be more responsible next time and not leave her children alone with others.
