I wish gravity Falls fans would take more time to make Filbrick a three-dimensional character, rather than a one dimensional abusive father trope.
No, this is not a Filbrick Pines defense post.
He’s still a bad person for seeing Ford as a cash cow and for not supporting Stan in the ways he deserved to be.
While we don’t see much of Filbrick in any of the canon media, there are a little snippets that suggest he wasn’t pure evil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the fact that the gold chain was valuable enough that Filbrick was absolutely pissed about losing it, he ended up keeping it, with the little scribbled on “#1 Dad”.
This is the best indicator I have for the idea that he never truly hated Stan. He sure as hell wasn’t a good father to him or to his other children, but even after kicking him out, there was still some part of him that loved his son.
(I also honestly wish less fans would headcanon the idea that he’s also physically abusive because it just gives me that feeling that no one is taking emotional abuse seriously until there is physical abuse included.)
It’s very common for parents who use the “tough love” style of parenting to genuinely love their children, but abuse them at the same time.
He may have honestly thought he was doing Stan a favor by kicking him out and letting him sink or swim.
I can only imagine what he was feeling when he got the call that Stan was dead. Did he find out about Stan being homeless and friendless? Was there any guilt? Did he not attend the funeral because he didn’t care or because he felt like Stan wouldn’t want him there?

Trafalgar Law and shreds of closeness part 3: Donquixote Family Edition
What can I say, I got struck with inspiration yet again, the thoughts just do not want to leave me. This time it will get dark. And it will hurt, so feel warned. I will take a closer look at Law's closeness to the Donquixote Family and also do a small case study of affection between Doffy and Cora and their dad as well, to get a fuller context. Main focus will be on physical affection, yet again.
So what do you think, did Law get support and affection from his "second family"? I would say, very little. But let's look at evidence:
Tumblr media
We have verbal support from Doflamingo himself when Giolla and Buffalo start to fear to touch Law or to even stay in the same room after they learn he's sick. That's 1:0 for him, I'm sure Law appreciated and remembered it. In retrospection, it would have been better for him if he didn't.
Tumblr media
Then we have Giolla and Machvise who handled him like he's an object. Giolla keeps touching Law on the head, probably not caring why he seems displeased with it. She's just reinforcing the trauma, but I think overall she means well, she just doesn't think much about it. Giolla also shows Law the most physical affection and I swear it feels like she's trying to make up for her initial reaction, she's just not going the right way about it, making it worse instead.
Meanwhile we have Doflamingo, who despite defending Law before, never touches him. And I mean, never ever. Doffy remains cold not only with Law though, which we will see in a moment.
Tumblr media
And then we have Baby5. She feels sorry for Law and even cried for him when she heard the story of Flevance (not in Law's presence tho), but she herself is bad with affection and care, because she also never received much, it also doesn't help that she is genuinely scared of Law's angry glares. All she can do to show him she cares is to smack and scold him. And of course when she does smack him it's on the head, which only becomes a trauma trigger over and over again. Those two just completely miss each other by a mile.
That's it. No other Donquixote Family's member ever tried to show some care in front of Law. They train him of course, but would you count kicking and punching him as a positive experience? Yeah, I don't think so.
And let's not forget Corazon, who carried Law like a bag of potatoes (and threw him around) for a long time, even after he kidnapped him. The Trip to Hospitals All Around the World kinda made him become better, holding Law close, trying to make him smile, carrying him all the time and at one point he even begs Law: "please give me the chance to do things right, stay strong for 3 more weeks!". Doesn't change the fact the touches he did give Law at the beginning were brutalized forms of affection, and we can't really forget that fact: that's exactly how Law's trauma of being touched on the head even started in the first place.
Tumblr media
He already trained for awhile, but he still failed in the confrontation, and I think it was because of the touch. Being pinned down made Law probably freeze and unable to move. But even after being saved by Doflamingo, Law doesn't even try to seek support in him, unlike Baby5. Here we can see Doflamingo is alright if someone seeks comfort in him, but he will not give it by himself. That makes Doflamingo-Law combo the worst possible match up, a person who will never give it first and a person who will never ask for it, no wonder things were always cold between them.
Tumblr media
Thanks to the fight against Smoker in Punk Hazard we learn that Law managed to overcome his trauma of being pinned down to a significant degree, because he manages to escape on his own. This scene gets an extra focus in the manga (it takes like 5 different frames!) which further convinces me it's that siginifcant. Law probably trained himself not to get overwhelmed like that ever again. Still, I can't help but notice soon after this happened Law starts to have troubles breathing, which means it still didn't leave him unaffected. He pushes to finish the fight faster afterwards as well.
Tumblr media
One of his trauma triggers is feeling helpless and being pinned down definitely counts for that. I don't think this started with Vergo, I would say it was already a thing after Flevance, when he had to discover more and more dead bodies of people dearest to him, unable to do anything about it.
Tumblr media
Let's look at his symptoms thanks to which we can recognize he's going through a triggering situation. Visible shivering, heavy panting (to the point of weezing which makes me think it can even go as far as bordering on hyperventilation or the opposite - apnea). And then in the last image he just goes stiff which I interpret as him completely freezing up. Damn, that's actually a lot. It's very similar to Robin's trauma responses in Water 7.
Tumblr media
You can also notice that Law clenches his fists and it seems to be a sign that he's struggling or forcing himself to be strong. He still does it *a lot* when he's an adult. I think it might have honestly became a habit. He does that just before a battle, in most stressful situations when he knows he can't show his emotions (or just doesn't want to), and well, if we go by the anime version, also when he leaves Wano with his own crew. Basically any time he makes a firm resolve or a hard decision, he also does that. I swear sometimes it feels like he struggles for half of the Dressrosa and Punk Hazard, which you know what, might be way too accurate.
Also bonus wholesome points for Luffy caring more to support Law and Muucy than caring for falling into water himself. I'm not sure how much that helped Law when he was dealing with a triggering situation, especially that unfortunate contact with the top of his head. I guess it's still better than similar situation but with Law completely alone.
Tumblr media
This puts this scene into a completely new perspective, right? He's shivering here and definitely froze up, even his speech bubble looks distressed. He's not getting angry here, his trauma trigger kicked in. I did check if he ever shivers or freezes up when he tries to, for example, stop himself from feeling angry, but no, we never see that happen. I'm sorry for ruining the comedy :( tho to make it better, he's also shocked, because just moments before Strawhats feared him, and now they already don't and even laugh at him. Damn, I'm now so torn about this scene, I mean, Strawhats couldn't have known!
Tumblr media
Now a promised closer look at Donquixote family's approach to closeness and touch. When they were still Celestial Dragons, they barely touched each other. No small touches on the back, hand holding or anything else you usually share with kids. The closeness starts only after they're all starting to be persecuted. First time we see Doffy holding his mom's hand is when they run away from their burning house. First time we are shown Homing hugging his kids is when village people are beating them up and he is just trying to cover them with his own body, so he takes the beating instead of his kids.
The last memory Rosinante has of his father is the hug. And the first memory he has of Sengoku is also a sort of half-hug. Might be why he got so attached to him.
Tumblr media
Little Doflamingo and Rosinante are always together, but they never touch in any way. It's clearly Doffy who takes care of his younger brother, probably also telling him to toughen up.
Tumblr media
Weird mocking touch on the head from Trebol. And like always, no one ever touches Doflamingo, not even his own officers, and that's true ever since Doffy was a child.
Tumblr media
He even tells Trebol he's too close. Doffy doesn't want touches anymore, because it seems in his mind he understands them as someone protecting him, and he doesn't need protection. Ever since he killed Homing, Doffy took the role of being a head of the family and protecting Rosinante, so no more hugs or hand holding for him. In other words, Doflamingo associates physical affection with protection and incoming abuse. And whenever he touches someone it's exactly for that reason: to hurt them.
Tumblr media
An interesting parallel because this happens in exactly same chapter: Law is trying to move away because Luffy's "too close". He even lets him take the transponder away and just stands there and waits. And you might wonder: what for? Is he hoping Luffy will give it back by himself?
Tumblr media
No, it just took some extra time for Law to brace himself to touch Luffy and shove him to the side. Even though both Doffy's and Law's first instinct here is to move away, Law is struggling but actually tries to overcome it, contrary to Doffy, who seems content in his "no touching" comfort zone.
Tumblr media
Let's take a look at Dressrosa now. Doffy is carrying Law by his clothes, Law is unconscious, but he will not touch him directly anyway. Cora-san used to do it as well at first to Law.
But then, you might ask, they fought so much in Dressrosa, surely some kind of touch had to happen as a result? I mean, most of them were indirect touches with Doffy's strings, kicking Law or stopping him by grabbing his sword. But you are right, exactly two touches do happen. You're not gonna like it.
Tumblr media
This is literally the first time Doflamingo ever touched Law. To stop his attack he forcefully grabbed his hand. Law is shivering, this actually triggers him, and there's just no way Doflamingo doesn't know that, he can feel it.
Tumblr media
And then he makes the full use of the situation. Doflamingo holds Law up in the air, but we can see by the onomatopeia that he's literally holding him up by his hand alone and Law is just freely dangling there, Doffy's not using any strings to immobilize him, not even armament haki. He doesn't even need to. Finally he gave Law the touch he must have been craving when he was a child from him, but it's not a caring one, and what's the next thing Doflamingo does to that hand he just touched? He cuts it off, ripping open the psychological wounds, making them deeper, perhaps hoping Law will never recover from them. Because that's the easiest way to control him later if he wishes to do so, to make him pliant, defenseless and unable to fight back and terrified. But also to punish him for the "rebellion" against him... but also to punish Law for his need and fear of touch. This is a lesson: never want affection, closeness or touch, you're never getting any. Unless it's this: abuse. And if you don't think this is terrible enough, let me remind you: this is their first touch *ever*, Law probably waited for it when he was a kid.
And Law is just hanging there, not even trying to move, and it lasts for like three or four pages long, and I remember when I reread this a couple of times, I was a bit puzzled. Why isn't Law struggling to release himself? Why is he just letting this happen? Especially when it's becoming very clear what Doflamingo is gonna do next. So I have my answer: Law froze up, it's his body shutting off on it's own and all he can do is to just be there and wait for it to be over. It's painful, because we know Law always struggles, always fights back, and he tries here, with words, but he can't do anything else and he just watches it happen.
Tumblr media
And this is the second time Doflamingo touches him. It's after the Gamma Knife attack, Doffy knows what he's doing here, he chooses to make contact with Law's head/face (he must have noticed Law's discomfort to it before when Giolla often did it to Law as a kid, and now he utilized this knowledge). He tries to make Law freeze up so he can't finish his move and who knows, maybe that was the final factor of why Law failed to kill off Doflamingo.
To wrap things up, I will share the interesting parallel that I think can be drawn between two rather unexpected characters: Law and Boa.
Both Law and Boa are most comfortable around Bepo (and the snake in Boa's case). Both are victims of brutalized touch and lack of loving and caring one. But while Law fearfully accepts what's given to him, Boa rejects it (even symbolically by kicking fluffy animals away or refusing any show of affection like gifts). Both are touch starved, but Boa will never even try to touch Luffy, and the only time Luffy touched her was in that stealth mission in Impel Down (they didn't have the choice) and hugging her after she gave him the key to Ace's cuffs. Boa doesn't return the gesture, she is very flustered and falls to the ground afterwards, which reminds me a little of her later scene with Rayleigh. Not even Boa's own sisters are shown to share any sort of physical affection with her, Boa shows cold and manipulative attitude to almost everyone besides them. The only other person Boa ever touched was Rayleigh (she's on the ground here again) after he helped them fight off Blackbeard's assault on Amazon Lily and it might be a traumatic response: Blackbeard tried to strangle her after all. Boa's love is passionate and platonic, she shows her affection and caring with indirect gestures (food preparation, offering support and help etc.), probably because that's what she remembers others tried doing for her before. She can't even deal with intimacy face to face and Law also tends to act cold to very open displays of affection and emotions.
Big thanks to @tae-rambles for mentioning the scene with Boa that completely slipped my mind <3 added it in the edit!

Hi, I read your post on Shouto’s arc very interesting I must say I found myself nodding my head to a lot of it 😊 honestly though I’m really intrigued to know what you’re thoughts are on Enji’s arc and endgame, as someone who severely hated him then became neutral on him and back to negative, I’m interested to see your thoughts? As you did state he was your favourite Todoroki as he was most interesting to you, but I guess something changed that. I think I personally only ended up appreciating one thing coming from him by the end, and that was him accepting Natsuo’s no-contact.
I touched on my big issue with Enji’s arc in that post, but to elaborate some, my big contention is that he stops being a dynamic character circa the end of the first war.  It’s the point at which his talk about changing and being a better father begins to transition from feeling tin-eared in ways that the story does recognize to ways the story doesn’t, and the frustration of that narrative failing snowballs every time it comes up.
(Hit the jump, because this turned into a ramble and a half. It's mostly about Enji's arc, but does make a swerve at the end into flogging the series for its hypocrisy about the right of Heroes to self-prioritize compared to the right of Heroes' loved ones to ask them to.)
So, there are several points at which Endeavor says he’s going to try to do better and make Shouto proud of him.  And at first, the story allows some room for skepticism and nuance for that claim!  Endeavor’s only concept, initially, for how to be “better” is to be a better Hero; that’s what he’s wrestling with when he’s adjusting to the reality of being the new Number 1.  He thinks that being a better Hero will also equate to him being a better father—that his family can take pride in the latter because of the former.  And Shouto rightfully blows him off for it!
That happens just after the Overhaul material; it’s not until after the High End fight—Natsuo snapping about his honest feelings and Shouto saying that “Endeavor” is already an amazing Hero, but what Shouto wants to see is how he can change and be a better father—that Enji really starts thinking about how to be a better father separate from being a great Hero.
We move from there into the Endeavor Agency Arc—an arc I really liked despite not loving any of key characters in it[1] because it was so tightly written and dealt with such an interesting, fraught, nuanced situation in the Todoroki family’s issues and Deku and Bakugou’s uncertain interaction with them.  The arc leads off with Endeavor trying to be more “dad-like,” but he’s quite bad at it because all his best attempts are like seventeen years out of date and his reference model died when he was in middle school in a situation Enji still has a bunch of really ugly feelings about that he’s never processed.
1: The key heroic characters, anyway.  I’ll cape for Star Servant and Ending any day of the week.
Here again, Shouto calls him out on taking the wrong tack.  Even though he himself said he wanted Endeavor to be a better father, Enji trying to play-act at Happy Families is not being a better father; it’s just trying to pretend the problems don’t exist, that he can just change and move forward without grappling with what he did wrong in the past.
(And the past is catching up fast, though the family doesn’t know it.)
Enji here begins to more openly accept blame and face his family.  However, if Fuyumi is eager to try and mend bridges, Natsuo very much is not.  Natsuo articulates even more strongly than Shouto that Endeavor deciding he wants to do better now just feels like him trying to sweep everything he did in the past under the rug, and the story is immensely sympathetic to Natsuo at this point in time, showing his very hurt reaction to the idea that he can’t be “caring” without forgiving a man he wants nothing to do with and letting Endeavor himself be the one to say, no, Natsuo is plenty caring just the way he is and he doesn’t have to force himself to associate with Endeavor to prove that.
Enji has every reason to want Natsuo’s forgiveness.  Indeed, he has this recurring dream of the family at the table eating dinner, happy and whole, except for him, and while it’s clear he wants to be there, his freeze against Ending and him hearing Natsuo’s thoughts also lead him to accept that maybe he can’t be.  So while maybe he does want, in his heart of hearts, his family to forgive him, what he says out loud is that they don’t have to, and that that isn’t what he wants, going forward.
Atonement, not forgiveness.  He wants to make things right for them, whatever that turns out to mean for each individual one of them—he’s not going to cut contact with Fuyumi, he’s not going to jettison Shouto’s internship, but neither is he going to force Natsuo to be around him or have Rei move back into the house in which he made her life a nightmare.  He’ll give them space so they can interact with him—or not—on their terms, not his.  Crucially, he communicates this to them, talking about his idea with them rather than just making the decision all on his own and expecting them to fall in line.
And hey, that’s all great!  Love that material.  I love it because it shows how difficult a path it is, that it isn’t going to make everyone perfectly happy, that Endeavor may well have to sacrifice some of what he wants if he’s sincere about prioritizing his family’s well-being.  I love that Endeavor’s arc up to this point is so consistently paced at two-steps-forward-one-step-back—heck, sometimes he only manages one step forward before something shows up to push him back two.  Be it information the reader gets that makes it clear why his family has every right to hate him or a literal phantom from his past, every bit of progress Endeavor makes towards becoming a decent man and a respectable father invariably gets undercut by some grim reminder or new illumination of how just far back his starting line is.
It’s some of the most nuanced, challenging writing in the whole series, and it made me like Endeavor quite a bit because the writing was willing to make him face these challenges, show him failing sometimes, and show him getting back up and continuing to do his best anyway.  (God knows it was more of a challenge than anything I was getting to see the main characters facing!)
I also loved Endeavor’s fitful arc because it was so good about building anticipation for the inevitable Dabi reveal.  ‘Cause man, if some short flashbacks or Natsuo showing up to be resentful and argumentative were good for setting Endeavor’s progress and/or the reader’s perception of it back, Dabi was set up to be the kind of derailing that leads to trains plunging into canyons because some asshole blew up the bridge.
We get that reveal, and it’s great.  Despite my ambivalence towards Dabi, the Dabi Dance chapter is a clear highlight from the first war arc, his, “The past never dies!” is one of my favorite pages in the series, Endeavor’s complete traumatic shut-down is every bit as delicious as I wanted to be, and—at the time of reading—I loved it.
But…  That’s basically where Endeavor’s arc flatlines.  The series desperately doesn’t want you to think that, but it’s true, and as I said in the Shouto post, it’s pretty obviously because he was never intended to survive that encounter at all.  I don’t know at what point Horikoshi decided (or bowed to pressure from his editor, possibly) to let Endeavor live, but there clearly was not enough time afterward to reconfigure his, the family’s, and Hawks’s plotlines around that change such that there weren’t impressions littered across the remaining story like ink bleeding through the page.[2]
2: One that struck me writing this post is that Lady Nagant is introduced immediately following the war stuff.  Sure, it’s a reasonable place for her introduction, given that she’s in Tartarus and we’re seeing Tartarus—but it was hardly the first time we saw Tartarus, was it?  There were several points at which we could have seen Lady N prior to the escape if she was anything other than a last-minute substitution for Hawks going rogue, and given that the movie that allegedly inspired her came out before BNHA even started, Horikoshi had plenty of time!  I can think of four other scenes in Tartarus off the top of my head, any one of which could have had a hallway cutaway or establishing scene that showed her face.  Heck, she could even have been introduced as “the treacherous Hero” alongside the other infamous Villains Gentle mentions.  Instead, we get her at the literal first possible opportunity after Endeavor’s survival (hypothetically) meant that there was no longer a reason for Hawks to go rogue.
I do basically like the hospital scene in isolation—Rei’s return is great, weepy Enji is top-shelf, and I like the family stuff.  As much as I like it, though, it’s not exempt from the problem, which is that from his survival onward, the pattern of Enji’s arc—stubborn and consistent attempts to pull himself out of the dark hole he’d dug himself into, marred by constant reminders of just how deep the hole was—is broken.  Instead, we’re left with empty promises that he consistently fails to keep.
Now, that wouldn’t be a problem if the series were willing to treat those empty promises as they failures they are.  The post-war collapse is Hero Society’s dark night of the soul, the Todorokis are an excellent microcosm for Hero Society at large, and so it’s perfectly fitting that its Number 1 Hero should have to endure a similarly dark, stagnant, conflicted period before renewal.  And initially, we do get some of that via Enji’s obvious mopey phase, and Shouto’s deep impatience with it.
The trouble is that even once Enji does pull out of that phase, he becomes a  broken record, saying the same words over and over instead of growing, failing to live up to those words so growth wouldn’t be warranted anyway, only now the story has stopped undercutting him and is instead playing his platitudes totally straight.
Consider:
He agrees at the hospital to “deal with Touya as a family”—and then runs off with a bunch of other Heroes and drops out of communication with his family.
After the class brings Deku back to UA, he agrees with Shouto to “do this together” when discussing how to face the difficulties of the future—but he’s visibly insincere in saying so, looking hangdog, hiding his face and having traumatic flashbacks to Dabi’s pitiless stare.
Then we jump to the battle plans and find out what the assignments are, and suddenly there’s none of that “dealing with Touya as a family” on the table anymore.  Instead, Endeavor’s fighting AFO with Hawks, Shouto’s fighting Dabi with Endeavor’s sidekicks, and the rest of the family are hiding out in a shelter doing diddlysquat.  But the story wants us to pretend that we haven’t noticed that?  Or rather, it wants to us to pretend that it’s not a problem?  So we get this flashback to Endeavor calling Shouto and proposing a rearrangement of the team assignments, because he knows it’s his responsibility to deal with Touya, only to have Shouto say, no, “doing this together” means sticking to their completely separate assignments where Shouto is the only family member out of five who faces Dabi at all.
And then we get Endeavor saying he’s going to beat AFO and then keep his gaze firmly on Touya—only to immediately start running the fuck away from Touya when Touya gets warped in by Kurogiri!
Endeavor even shows up for the big last push against Shigaraki.  I know we got that flashback of Natsuo telling Endeavor to go because he was too hot to be around Fuyumi and Rei, but honestly, fuck that noise.  Endeavor himself was massively injured, so much so that the epilogue has him saying he couldn’t do Hero work anymore even if he wanted to.  There is no possible justification for him leaving his family behind yet again just so he could go help punch out a Villain one last time.
One of Enji’s big recurring themes is the idea of the gaze that falls on Heroes and where the Hero’s gaze rests in turn, and Enji himself leans into that theme with a lot of his rhetoric: watch me, focus on me, I’ll keep my eyes on them.  That’s fine when the story is challenging him—it plays well into the ongoing themes about how actions prove more than words.  Post-Jakku, though, the story stops challenging him.  Instead, it just lets his words stand even as they’re constantly being proven false.  To the very end, this terrible new pattern—nice-sounding words that aren’t going to go anywhere and will have no impact on the story—continues.
In the very last Todofam scene, Endeavor says he’s retiring from Hero work, and that it was always his plan to do so after the war ended—meaning that in spite of everything he said, he chose to prioritize Hero work (the war) over his family and he always knew he was going to do exactly that!  Claiming he was always planning to retire after the war is an empty, meaningless statement when he’s reneged on all his other claims.  Particularly given that he leaves his family behind yet again in Chapter 421 to go fight ShigAFO, who’s to say he wouldn’t have postponed his retirement from “when the war is over” to “when the reconstruction is over,” and then to “when things calm down,” and so on, endlessly finding some new excuse to not retire the costume for good?
But for some reason this only ever gets called out by Villains like AFO and Dabi himself, who calls Endeavor a coward for only trying to play nice once everything is already over, and it drives me crazy because Dabi’s totally right about it and the story just doesn’t care.  Mere pages later, we have to suffer through Natsuo saying what a badass Endeavor is for being willing to face all this heat, even though at every turn, Endeavor did nothing but choose Heroism (just like the public would have wanted him to), run away from Dabi or let other people convince him to, try to drive away his family despite agreeing to work with them to deal with Touya, and then have the fucking gall to finally say he’s going to retire, talk with Touya, and absorb as much public backlash as he can only after the worst of the dangers of those decisions has already passed.[3]
3: And that’s not even getting into how maddening some of the smaller details are—Fuyumi both quitting her job and getting a lead on another without any intercession from Endeavor, for example, or the unremarked burial of Endeavor’s talk of funding a new house so Rei can live apart from him in favor of Rei apparently being totally fine with being around him all the time now, to the point of fondly joking with him about Hawks’s support or pushing him around in his (motorized) wheelchair.
From both an in-universe and a meta perspective, it would have been far more meaningful if he’d retired before the war, when the public was ready to publicly crucify retiring Heroes like Yoroi Musha, when his retiring really would have removed a powerful Hero at exactly the time when society was crying out the loudest for powerful Heroes.  Instead, he waited until after the war, once all the serious threats had been dealt with and he’d have had to retire anyway because of the injuries he sustained in a fight which he, again, chose to prioritize over his family.
It does not prove anything to his family if he only chooses them after he’s been rendered physically incapable of choosing anything else.  It does not impact his arc if he retires in the epilogue because that is the end—his arc has nowhere else to go because the story’s over, his and everyone else’s.  So instead of seeing him make a genuinely controversial or difficult choice and then having to fight to see it through—as was the case back when his arc was actually good and interesting—he makes a bunch of non-choices instead and the story portrays him like a hard-working, badass, sincere, earnest, admirable fellow for it.
And like, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that the story is totally fine with Endeavor only ever putting his Hero work first no matter how many times his family begs for his attention or Enji himself claims he’s working on becoming a better father.  He’s hardly the only Hero to make that choice, and the story takes their side every time!  In fact, I get the strong impression that Horikoshi not only agrees that Heroes hurt their families to help complete strangers, but that Heroes are morally correct and justified in doing so.
Remember when Nana was grieving and regretting and apologizing to Kotarou in Shigaraki’s mindscape at the climax?  What she apologized for was not that she made the choice that she made, but that she made that choice and wasn’t strong enough to survive it.  She was sorry she couldn’t beat the bad man and come back home, not sorry that she chose to prioritize beating the bad man over staying with the child she herself chose to bring into the world.
When Shigaraki echoed those complaints, no one took him seriously.  When Kouta voiced the same ones, those complaints were silenced by threatening him with murder until he decided Heroes are cool after all.  When Inko protested the danger Deku was putting himself in after the first war, he just placated her with an empty smile and then ignored her protests completely.
(If this is sounding familiar, it's because I've complained about it before.)
Villains and scarred family members are treated like immature children crying for attention when any rational, mature adult would realize that Heroes have to put the needs of the many before the needs of the few, no matter what kind of relationship those “few” have with the Heroes in question and what kinds of priority they might rightfully expect based on the nature of that relationship.  Obviously it’s nice when Heroes can juggle both, but when it comes right down to it, Heroes have to choose strangers over their own family!  That’s just what it means to be Heroes!
And as before, if the story actually made the characters seriously talk that through, forced the Heroes to actually articulate the belief and stand on it, then that’d be okay.  But it doesn’t do that.  Instead, it just treats the belief as a given, and anyone who disagrees with it as sadly misguided or selfish—sympathetic, perhaps, but ultimately so obviously wrong that Heroes don’t even have to deign to engage them in a discussion about it.
And then, of course, it has the even more outstanding brazenness, the oblivious hypocrisy, to try and preach about how Heroes can’t be put up on these pedestals, that they have the right to live their lives and put themselves first sometimes, that they ought to be able to rely on civilians to help others and even Heroes themselves sometimes, and every other bit of bullshit packed into Midoriya Izuku’s endgame and how he “changed the world.”
To recap: Heroes have the right to have loved ones, but their loved ones have no rights to them, nor even the right to a conversation about it without being dismissed out of hand.  Heroes are human beings with the right to live their lives and form connections and rely on others, but Heroes also have, not just the right, but the moral duty to hurt the people they formed those connections with, even to the point of completely abandoning them, if that’s what’s necessary when the next dangerous Villain comes calling.
And yet again, if the story would actually confront that properly, it’d be one thing.  I’m not taking Stain’s extremist stance here; I do think there’s a middle ground between those two positions!  But the positions are in conflict with each other, and the story doesn’t even seem to realize it.  So, instead of attempting to reconcile self-sacrifice and interconnectedness in a nuanced way, you just end up with self-sacrifice being right when the story wants it to be right and wrong when the story wants it to be wrong; ditto for interconnectedness.
…That swerved some into thrashing the series on the whole, sorry.  But that’s generally my problem with Endeavor’s arc: the story just chickens out of depicting the reality of what would happen if he really made the decisions he claimed he was going to make while also chickening out on making him face the consequences for being a big stupid phony who didn't do what he said he was going to do.
--P.S.  That goes for the rest of the family too, while I’m here.  You know who don't get enough credit for Dabi surviving the second war?  Skeptic and AFO’s moles, that’s who.  If it hadn’t been for their interference with the escape boxes from UA’s shelter, Rei, Fuyumi and Natsuo would have been passively evacuated like good little obedient civilians, whisked to safety at Shiketsu with no opportunity at all to go to the site of Endeavor and Dabi’s battle.  And without their ice quirks, Endeavor, Dabi and a whole bunch of other people would have straight-up died because Dabi would have exploded before Shouto arrived to flash-freeze him.
All told, I don’t think the Todoroki family earned that happy dream of all of them sitting around the table having dinner, with or without Enji, so it’s just as well that they didn’t get it.  At the same time, though, I hate that the story seems to act like coming together to watch Dabi die slowly in an iron lung was the best they could do and we should all think them very brave and noble and heroic for it while ignoring all the Villains who are dead or in prison whose efforts contributed to making even the iron lung ending possible.
Thanks for the ask, anon! I'll have your follow-up ask tonight or tomorrow night!

KIRANDER / WOLF NARI THINGS FACTS STORY IDK
He's an albino gray wolf, he acts a lot more like a dog... Maybe millennia in the void tamed him or maybe is just his people pleaser nature. (Despite that he can be authoritarian I think)
Kiran is very old, the oldest of bishops, the first of them to find a crown.
He's not a big fan of fighting but is very good at it, he taught his siblings some techniques!
The relationship with the other bishops isn't really good, he loves them but they don't like him much because he's "too affectioned" and overall strange. They don't understand his vision of the world and I mean fair.
His morals are mostly pessimistic he believes in the concept of destroy and rebuild, his "excuse" is that he doesn't want to see people suffer so he comes to the conclusion that dying is better than living and that the world would be better without gods.
He's very impatient but doesn't show it... And he doesn't allow more than one (1) second chances, all his previous vessels were definitely killed by him after their first death againsts the bishops
He would come up with some bullshit like "I'm sorry, I won't prolong your pain any longer, I clearly was wrong you're not fit for this... Now rest" or "you tried but it wasn't enough" a bit evil... And not very productive from him since he can't free himself alone... Ironic because he's impatient lol his morals are very strong
So yeah basically goat killed all bishops without dying even once... That was hell
(Goat playing hardcore lmao)
Cal and Deb (kiran's Baal and aym) weren't given by the bishops but by they're mom did a ritual to gift them to their father (yes I'm gonna make Kiran x forneus (name need a change) canon here and make him the bio dad of the pups , how were they born? Idk immaculate conception probably), they are demigods, kiran loves them very much and they keept him "sane"
Also forneus is his most Loyal follower 🔥🔥🔥🥴
After goat kills all bishops Kiran uses his freedom to... Take care of the pups...
They knew this was going to happen and let him do it (like... Brainwashed behavior)
If the world was to be freed from gods then demigods shouldn't be here either, so he killed them. Fast and painless.
Ok ok relationship with goat :
Is always ups and downs but mostly it starts as just you help me and I help you kind of deal... After the first bishop down Kiran kinda start to catch feelings... Nobody went so far yet this goat was the one, goat never died again so they saw each other's only after the first chain got destroyed and Kiran was able to use a bit of his power to bring them to him as the pleased, they use those summonings to talk e know each other's better lol.
So after bishop one was down they were in a friendly mood? Relationship??? Positive?
After the second bishop goat started to be a bit confused about their big friend's plan... The bishop told them some stuff but they decided not to believe him still doubt started forming in their heart even if Kiran was always so affectionate
I think the crush start here
After bishop 3 was down the seed of doubt finally sprout and Kiran noticed that goat started to be more distant from him... After one day goat asked him "after you're free, What will you do to me? " and Kiran simply responded with "I'll free you too, from you're regrets and from all the pain, I'll free your soul and we will be together in peace" that didn't reassure goat one bit but they let it slide because they wanted to believe their god
At this point their relationship was a bit confused but I think there was love in there under all the doubts
After the fourth bishop was killed goat was scared, terrified even.
They finally knew what the real plan was, the last bishop told them, He told them everything and how that wolf would take their second life just for a crazy ideology. They won't let that happen, they are stronger than him anyway... This whole deal made them go a little mad and on a full rampage, it didn't help finally knowing that the stermination of their kin was basically kiran's fault, yes the bishops started it but it was all to stop the crazy plans of the wolf, a "little" price to pay to save everything else.
When they arrived to purgatory they noticed the pups were gone, not surprising considering everything they learned that day about their beloved wolf.
Their fight wasn't long, Kiran asked goat to just listen to him but they were not willing at all.
it all ends when they finally manage to pin him on the ground.
The relationship right now is divorce 😭😭
So Kiran dies, a very painful and slow death. Goat claims his place and they become the new God fo death.
That didn't satisfy them toh, now there was emptiness in their heart. They loved that wolf! They felt safe with him, he always attended their words wounds and now just like that he was gone. They killed him.
Goat would stop thinking about it for some years and would keep attending on their cult (in a very bad way) until one night they decided to bring the wolf back and make him pay and his actions again, like yes out of spite and to fill the emptiness.
Now can start the toxic yaoi
Bringing Kiran back will start this circle of love and hate, a desperate attempt from goat to fix the problems in their head??
Bro needs therapy (lamb is their therapist and will help them)
Every time Kiran would die goat would bring him back, bro doesn't deserve peace🔥🔥
Ok but with time goat calms down, realize that this is useless, Kiran realize that his actions were actually the problem, that he missed his siblings and his pups so much.
Sorry chat he changed a bit I think 😔

Thoughts on Dragons Rising Season 3 (episodes 1-5)
I put a read more underneath because some of the notes are long and I don’t want to spoil anyone who hasn’t watched it yet.
-We’re still getting new lore even to this day, huh? Remember when the show was just “long before time had a name”
-Frak is so adorable and I love how he’s a bit of a know it all but at the same time it’s probably a result of his previous conditioning by Ras which is kind of sad honestly. Also I joked to myself about Sora x Frak being a thing but I didn’t THINK THE SHOW WOULD ACTUALLY HINT AT IT WHAT. Guys Sora and Frak are both T4T and autistic trust me bro
-Kai doing that lip smacking thing in the first episode totally proves he’s canonically ADHD for real
-Speaking of the first episode and Kai why did they MAKE FUN OF HIS VOICE LIKE THAT like bro what did Vincent even do to deserve that kind of shade.
-also I was kind of expecting Kai to be an overprotective dad towards Wyldfyre and her new relationship but I love how (so far) he’s been supportive of not teasing about it, it’s so cute.
-speaking of which I don’t really know how people feel about Roby but I think he’s…fine. Like yes, his gen-z slang is annoying, and “influencer” characters are annoying, but with Roby he at least genuinely CARES about Wyldfyre and the rest of the ninja team. Like, last season he seemed like he genuinely just wanted a good, fair tournament while making it as entertaining as possible in order to pull in new audiences, but not at the risk of anyone getting injured. He was genuinely concerned when he noticed the challenges were rigged and when Lloyd was put into a coma.
-Also Roby actually LIKES Wyldfyre back so like??? Guys this could’ve been so much worse they could’ve played it as Wyldfyre constantly making moves on Roby and Roby being disgusted by her affections because she isn’t “feminine” or “attractive” or whatever but they didn’t do that HE LIKES HER FOR HER AND I LOVE THAT!!!
-Arin sweetie I know you’re upset but PLEASE go back to the ninja you are not good at being a bad guy.
-Rogue (Jay) is finally here and omg I love how the mechanical wings he has is a callback to the invention he was working on in the pilot that’s such a great detail! Honestly I’m not super invested in the plot about Jaya reuniting but I am interested to see more of Rogue. Also it’s really funny how they’re disguising Rogue’s voice even though we ALL know it’s Jay lol.
-I cannot believe this show used the word “serpent-splain” like seriously what timeline are we living in.
-And for the most hyped part of this season, Morro’s return! It’s good to see him again, I really like how his character is being handled so far and the realm he resides in is pretty cool too. I hope we see more of him in the latter five episodes. I’m SO curious how he’ll react when he finds out that Arin’s former mentor was Lloyd.
-I really hope Zane gets some better character development this season because he’s kind of done nothing so far…
-also Pixal is back! I love Pixane so much and I’ve missed them it’s so refreshing to see them back together again. Also Zane calling Pixal the “smartest and most attractive member of the team” in the first episode was WILD like why is Zane so weirdly smooth sometimes?
-Good to see the superior couple (sorry Jaya stans) fighting side by side again, also I literally started cackling like a mad man when Zane sacrificed himself and they played his death music AGAIN like it’s a running gag at this point.
-I REALLY hope Zane’s mech form isn’t a permanent thing because it’s…not great.
-The reveal that Arin’s parents are (presumably) dead is SUCH a dark note to leave on like wow I wasn’t expecting that.
-I don’t really care that much about the Forbidden Five or the Thunderfang stuff going on but maybe it’ll be more interesting as time goes along but right now it just isn’t very compelling to me despite it being the main conflict of this season.
stay tuned for my thoughts on the latter episodes…whenever that’ll be. Idk I’m really busy this month and I barely want to post here anymore anyways so…

stray kids as a haikyuu team (pt. 1)
Tumblr media
Hello! This is a very self-indulgent thing that I came up with, as I have been a fan of k-pop group Stray Kids for about 5 years now (I was also prompted by the knowledge that Hyunjin was into Haikyuu recently). The descriptions per member are generally reflective of their real-life personalities, dynamics, and major life events. I did my best to relate these to everything I learned about volleyball teams. Feel free to share your own headcanons and thoughts; I would love to hear them! Part 1 will include my headcanons of Chan, Minho, Changbin, and Hyunjin!
masterlist || part 2 →
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This guy is the foundation of the team! He has long dreamed of being in a team that could compete at nationals. After becoming captain, he was dead set on making the most of whatever team he got that year.
Crazy stamina, speed, and strength. The pinnacle of athleticism. He's been playing volleyball since he was a little kid. He's even good enough at other sports (swimming, running, soccer, and many others).
As a result of his hard work over the years, he is an amazing player. Setting may not be his strong suit, but his spikes and receives are impressive. His receiving skills are nearly as good as their libero's. Strengthening his team's defense aligns with his desire to always have his team's back.
His members often wonder why he hasn't been recognized by others, regardless of the lack of their club's funding and popularity. They later learn that he doesn't care for the spotlight and prefers that the younger members shine more.
Sooooo humble that he cannot accept compliments from others. His ears get all red as he vehemently denies things. ("Dude, just say thank you. It won't kill you." "Yeah, but...").
Initially, he was somewhat strict with the members. This was mostly because he needed them to shape up and set boundaries. Still, he made it a point to have some heart-to-heart talks at the end of each week. His team loves him for these!
Over time, he grew more casual with them. He lets them tease him, but they know not to overstep. Chan does not regret it, but he is now a Tired Team Dad™ of seven. To get back at them, he starts acting like a kid (because, well, he is one!). He pokes them, giggles randomly, and showers them with extreme affection.
A cute habit of his is that he walks behind all of them, especially when they go to other places. At first, it was to ensure no one got lost, but then seeing all the members together gave him a sense of security and comfort.
He tutors the team for English and Science classes. Those are his best subjects.
Despite how sweet and dorky he can be, he is a beast on the court (some of the members swear they hear him growl sometimes). Do not mess with him or his teammates; he will tear you and your team apart.
Uh, also...Chan is occasionally flirty when he talks to others. He also likes to lift his shirt up to wipe his face, which usually has some girls in the stands going wild. The team has NO idea if he's clueless or does these things intentionally. They don't ask.
HQ Characters he reminds me of: Daichi, Kuroo, Kita
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Minho picked up volleyball just a little later than Chan did. He's not a flashy player, but you'll notice his amazing technique and form if you have a good eye.
Precision is his strong suit, which makes him a pretty good setter. But, when Seungmin was added to the team, he willingly gave up that role and chose to be the middle blocker.
The front of the net will always be his favorite zone no matter what. It helps that he can set to members if Seungmin is in a pinch.
His reflexes are scary quick. It's what helped him make decisions as setter because he can react to whatever is going on around him without much thought. He loves that he can use that skill as a middle blocker too.
He denies being a competitive volleyball player but he can be petty with his opponents. Once you insult or try to target a member, you're in for the greatest mind game of your life.
Unless necessary, he is terrifyingly quiet when he plays. Then when you least expect it, he does something to take your breath away.
This guy has a way with words. He can be snippy and sarcastic, then totally random. Sometimes he just starts laughing maniacally. The most unpredictable guy ever.
He is very soft with Jisung and Jeongin, and he hates being called out for it. He threatens to stop being nice to the others if they continue. Everyone knows he is incapable of doing that.
Acts of service and cooking are his love languages for the team. He's always telling them to eat good meals. He tapes their fingers and fills up their water bottles at times. The team is very thankful for this!
Never passes up the opportunity to smack his member's butts, especially when they're next to each other in front of the net. Why does he do it? Even he doesn't know. It's just funny.
He has an obsession with pudding; the nearby konbini already has an extra stock reserved for him at this point.
HQ Characters he reminds me of: Tsukishima, Tendou, Yaku
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Changbin is loud; he's always yelling or laughing boisterously. His voice attracts attention on and off the court.
Because of his buff build, he seems really intimidating. ("It's to make up for his height." "Shut the hell up!"). Humor aside, he has insane power. Blasts through blocks almost all the time. He's the team ace for a reason.
He's so proud of his arms. Flexes them and seeks validation from the team all the time hahaha! (Was really flustered when someone in the crowd yelled at him to please headlock them lol)
HE DOES THE CHEST RECEIVE LIKE BOKUTO!
People are usually surprised to see him act cutesy with his members...with zero shame (and honestly, good for him!).
Nonetheless, don't be fooled. This guy has one of the strongest mindsets on the team, making him a very reliable teammate. He is dead set on strengthening his team's offense.
Changbin is super observant, so he knows his members' behaviors extremely well. Gives great advice, especially to the younger members.
He is Chan's workout and morning run buddy! Constantly encourages his members to work out too (unfortunately, they run and hide).
Forms a disaster duo with Jisung and enjoys his "fun uncle" role too much. He sometimes acts as the team's mood-maker and makes tons of jokes (Exhibit A: he named each of his pecs).
Also, he starts these really random jokes or trends (memes?) that somehow spread to the other sports clubs in their school. He has no idea how, but he loves being the team's trendsetter.
Has a very soft spot for Felix! Dedicates as much time as he can to teach him how to spike and attack well.
Really good at math, so he tutors the younger members who need help in that subject.
HQ Characters he reminds me of: Bokuto, Tanaka, Asahi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hyunjin has limited volleyball experience compared to most of his teammates. He only started around his last year of junior high school and they put him in as a regular middle blocker because of his height.
He initially underestimated the sport's complexity because others said it would be easy for him with his stature, and he had done some sports in the past anyway (swimming and soccer). But then he got really ambitious and put in the work after realizing how much he actually enjoyed volleyball.
He also didn't like that his team and friends only talked about his height advantage (and after more exposure, he saw that there were much taller players anyway).
By the time he was in his first year of high school, he was in this state of rapid improvement. Minho also mentored him a lot during this period after seeing his potential.
Hyunjin has an incredible ability to move his body the exact way he wants it to. Super helpful for changing blocking positions and baiting spikers. His limbs really help him reach longer distances too.
Like Chan, Hyunjin has a strong drive to create new strategies. He often shares his blocking ideas with the rest of the team and collaborates with Minho.
Although many think he's a little intimidating due to his popularity, he's super bubbly and affectionate with his members, especially his fellow second-years. Jeongin is his baby forever.
He already has a fan club in the making and is terribly clueless about how to interact with his fans.
Hyunjin often makes promotional posters for the team because apparently, he's a talented artist too. ("Dude, spare some talent for the rest of us!")
HQ Characters he reminds me of: Hyakuzawa, Oikawa, Lev

Helluva Boss Sinsmas Spoilers!!!
So much to talk about. I am absolutely feral right now. Even with a bit of time to process everything, I'm still not okay (in the best way possible).
Blitz, giving Stolas lots of horse plushies to cuddle with, cooking Stolas food, helping him with shopping, laundry, getting food and clothes, hell EVEN FUCKING ROBBING stores for Stolas! He's giving Stolas everything he needs right now!!
Not to mention this!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
HE HIRED STOLAS!!!!
I also noticed there were a lot of Season 1 parallels. For example:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There were even parallels to "You Will Be Okay" within Octavia's solo, "I Will Be Okay". (Actually, now that I think about it, it might be the revise version/Octavia version of "You Will Be Okay".
Speaking of Octavia...
I made a theory post some time ago about the possibility of her coming in to save her dad.
I WAS FUCKING RIGHT!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, I love this anime/manga effect that they chose to do. I was not expecting that and I LOVED IT!!
It is bittersweet, really. She still saved him (and Blitz), obviously deep down she still cares and loves her dad. She's still hurt and disappointed that, in her eyes, he left her for Blitz. I mean, she's not wrong. That's technically what happened, even though we all knew that Blitz would've died if it weren't for Stolas. But she's disappointed that he broke his promise. She has every right to be upset right now.
I know Stolas did everything he could to protect Octavia, to avoid giving her the similar trauma that he went through as a kid. But even then, I feel like some of this complicated stuff could be avoided if he had just told her the truth. Even though it's a hard pill to swallow, Octavia still needs to know the truth about everything.
And yes, I know that Stolas tried to tell her at the end, but at that point, it was technically too late. Octavia is not gonna hear him out right now or any time soon. And that hurts, for both of them.
Perhaps one day, Octavia will learn what's really going on behind the scenes. Perhaps she'll understand better why Stolas acted the way he did, and why he did all of those things. She doesn't have to forgive him right away (though, she could forgive him much later on if she wants to). But I still have a strong feeling, despite everything, deep down, she still loves her dad, even if everything's complicated right now.
Moving on...
Tumblr media
MILLIE'S PREGNAT!!!! AHHHHH!!!!
She even called up Sallie May for advice!!! She's worried about how Moxxie would react!!
Honestly, I'm highly sure Moxxie would still love Millie and support her. I really hope he'd be happy with having a child (or children if they end up being twins or triplets). Maybe he'd also be worried about ending up like his shitty father, in which Millie would reassure him that he is NOTHING like his father and never will be.
And of course, Blitz would try to give them Parenting 101 Lessons on What To Do and What NOT To Do. Maybe Stolas would also try to help them out as well, but I feel like he'd get very emotional, because it'd remind him of his daughter.
One bonus thing I wanna mention real quick: Loona's still calling Blitz "Dad".
Alright this post is way too fucking long. I'm so sorry but there's too much to talk about and point out. And I'm sure there's a lot more to talk about, like Blitz and Stolas acting like an actual couple. But I'm gonna leave it here.
Anyway... how are y'all feeling about the Season 2 Finale?

Characters with uv allergies (that mostly effect skin) because I said so (the most self indulgent thing I've written lol)
(No exact diagnosis is given to make characters more relatable to more people.
Dahlia hawthorne (ace attorney):
Reason:she always has a parasol and seems to have some built up frustration. Has hyperfocased on beauty and manipulation (ie. grasping for control)
Headcanon: she and iris were exposed to sunlight after birth. The physical wounds took all of her mystical abilities to heal and it just kinda never came back. Iris being the smaller never got any but spent the rest of her life feeling guilty over her sisters illness
(Dahlia also definitely milks the issue for all it's worth)
Bruce wayne (dc):
Reason:Gotham is gloomy but he really said let's do most of our actions at night. Also he went to the cinema late in fucking Gotham
Headcanon: it's one of the biggest reasons he blames himself for his parents death. His outings had to happen at night and his parents died for it. He blames himself for not just staying inside
Tim drake (dc):
Reason: was left home alone constantly, almost as if the parents didn't know how to relate to a disabled child.
Headcanon: doesn't think it's a big deal. Like genuinely doesn't get why people are so sympathetic towards him. Joker tried to burn him at dawn and one of his siblings broke his fucking arm. Is such a hoodie lover.
Penguine and most of lounge staff (dc):
Reason: that man has so much money. He could go move somewhere sunny if he wanted. The loungestaff because they will be loyal cause they understand him
Headcanon: was originally trying to make enough money to cure himself of his uv allergy but gave the fuck up after a stint of depression. He doesn't know batman has it and batman politely ignores that penguine has it.
Raven (teen titans):
Reason:obvious hooded figure is obvious
Headcanon:she doesn't hate it the way her mother did. I fact a weakness any weakness from her mom makes her feel more human despite its oddness
Ravens mother (dc):
Reason:hear me out. What else could have pushed her to join a cult and sleep with a demon besides feeling dirty and cursed.
Headcanon: was definitely bullied relentlessly for it. Became a school punching bag. Her old classmates are very lucky Raven is the magic and not her mother
April O'Neil (tmnt 2012):
Reason: we first see her out in The middle of the night and the turtles dont see her midday so whose saying she isn't.
Headcanon: hates being seen as fragile for something she can't control. Would be a fainter if she wasn't so damn stubborn. She loves an aesthetic sun visor
Nina sayers (black swan):
Reason:there's gotta be some sort of trigger to her mothers overprotectiveness
Headcanon: it's one of the reasons she couldn't black swan properly. Her mother fought it so fucking hard that any comfort and calm the night and the dark brang to her was also repressed. (Slept with a nightlight coded)
Ford pines (gravity falls);
Reason:
1) being born with one disability kinda opens pandoras box for you
2)he's a shut in living in a forest area
Headcanon: his intelligence was encouraged by his father cause he "didn't want to take care of the boy for the rest of his damn life."
Lucifer morningstar (hazbin hotel):
Reason: because making a being named morningstar allergic to sunlight sounds about right for the show. Never tries to leave hell.
Headcanon: use to be fine but falling literally changed his biology. This is just another punishment for him. Tried to leave hell once and almost burned to death.
Charlie morningstar (hazbin hotel):
Reason: she's related to her dad
Headcanon: she has a much lighter case. Might (of she's lucky) grow out of it. Her mom isn't allergic and it makes her a lil insecure even though she would never admit it.
Maxie(pokemon):
Reason: covered up head to tow and doesn't seem like an outdoors person. Or a people person really.
Headcanon: still craves academic validation as a adult.
sabrina (pokemon, game):
Reason: it's implied she was created in a lab opening the doors to disabilities via human tampering. Covered up head to toe. Not a people person in a (very dangerous) different way then Archie (probably never developed social skills)
Headcanon: it all stems from being created in the lab rather then being born. It's so deeply a part of her that she doesn't even think of curing it.
At least one parasol lady(pokemon)
Reason: statistically there's gotta be at least one background/npc character with a solar allergy in the pokemon world. What other choice would that character have
Headcanon: vague parasol lady is super quiet about her diagnosis. She wears longer stallings then the others and desperately tries to blend in.
Kaguya houraison (touhou):
Reason: shes literally a moon princess. She is also is word of Fandom a shuttin. Probably the reason eiran is so obedient to her.
Headcanon: it's actually a point of pride for her. It's another trait that ties her to her heritage no matter how far away she is. Sure she can be forced away but they literally can't take this from her. It's something she clings to
Eclipsa (svtfoe):
Reason: she empathized with the ostracized and her assigned husband seemed to hate her. (Rip queen you deserved a better ex and a better show. Your shoulders must hurt from carrying svtfoe so long)
Headcanon: she is actually releived meteora doesn't seam to have it. As much as she wouldn't trade the empathy and emotional intelligence she gained from it for anything, she also knows its incredibly painful. Probably has the worst case mewnies ever seen.
Alice liddell (alice madness returns):
Reason: everything is gloomy even in the real world. Like I know she lives in London but still. There's gotta be a sunny day here and there.
Headcanon: because of her other diagnoses no one believes her. She has learned to keep her mouth shut and handle it herself
(Sorry for the vagueness I straight up culturally osmosis this game.)
Celeste (animal crossing):
Reason: We only see her on starry nights. Seems a bit spicy and naive as if shes been just a bit sheltered.
Headcanon: her brother use to be jealous of the special treatment she got (being allowed to sleep during the day.) Until her disorder started to progress and she had to go to a hospital for a while.
Jack(animal crossing):
Reason: it's never confirmed he is actually supernatural. He covers up and runs around at night. He also seems to lack social skills (the trifecta)
Headcanon: was never officially diagnosed. Doesn't seem to understand its a disability. Good for him I guess. His pumpkin head is his disability aid
Eda hawthorne( but only sometimes):
Reason: demons are already supposed to be light sensitive(also demons aren't vampires don't start) but stress raises histamine levels.i just took the given info to its most extreme case
Headcanon: it's why she drinks so much. Even the dusky light of the isles is alot for her. She comes back to not just sore on the inside but with hives on the outside and theres nothing the healers can do for this part of the curse. Luz and king don't mention it. She was always a little allergic but She genuinely thinks it's all the curse.
The twili (twilight princess)
Reason: it's explained away with magic but it's borderline Canon forgive me if I'm wrong but I don't think they leave bones meaning at least some of it is biological
Headcanon: they run great big markets at night with food stalls and craftsman. It's a bit odd but bustling and honestly really beautiful.
Inuyashas mom (inuyasha):
Reason: no flashback ever shows her during daylight. Also Inuyashas dad probably had a savior complex
Headcanon: when she met inuyahas dad, he saved her from being beaten for being "cursed" spent alot of her spare time on inside hobbies.
Princess Yue (atla):
Reason: standard moon affiliations
Headcanon: she doesn't feel like she's missing much. Being hot and sweaty is a no thanks. Dresses in layers when forced outside during day
June (atla) :
Reason: her only friend seems to be a animal. Might be because other people fnd her disorder incredibly off-putting.
Headcanon: She acts tough but is actually really lonely. People only approach her when there's something that needs to be done.
Powder/jinx (arcane):
Reason: everyone around powder was very protective of her. So I assigned her to reason why.
Headcanon: shimmer actually made her skin worse. She ignores it for the most part.
Morticia Addams (the Addams family):
Reason: Girl took her diagnoses and fucking ran with it. It is now her entire personality.
Headcanon: the most extensive black silk glove collection on earth. It's really quite impressive. Shes got wrist length and opera length and charcoal and onyx. Is currently looking for one that has web like lace.
Love fortunes witch (kikis delivery service):
Reason:shes only shown for a couple minutes at night. "Love fortunes" sounds more like "let's overcompensate to make sure I'm liked"
"Cool and smug" more like "distance yourself to not get hurt"
Headcanon: is sick and tired of people saying things like "she's so pretty, it's such a shame she's like that." So she became a love witch to shut the catty comments down. Somehow became what she hated most
Vivian (thousand year door):
Reason: probably a biological thing (hush she's not a vampire ) also big hat.
Headcanon: she aestheticizes it to cope. It's why she's so far away mentally. Certified maladaptive daydreamer.
Lady amalthea ( the last unicorn):
Reason: most of the movie takes place at night.( And it makes her even more tragic)
Headcanon: is definitely a fainter. She would go down fast too. Very lucky she didn't go through that. As a unicorn she's fine. Something about being human was not kind to her biology.
Black cat (spiderman):
Reason: a black cat allergic to sunlight seems fun. Also her clothes cover her arms and legs. You rarely rarely rarely see them uncovered.
Headcanon: her dad had solar allergies too. It's why they were so close. It felt like him and her against the world. That's why she went off the rale when he turned himself in. In her mind there's absolutely no one left in her life that can truly relate to her. Love love loves a uv proof Thigh high
Lisa (castlevania):
Reason: hyper empathetic to the ill, and somehow related to the actual count Dracula. Looks real pale and was burned as a witch
Headcanon: was moved around alot as a child for her own safety. Was hidden in a apple basket under a armfull with a blanket on top of her head. Her parents did see her death coming as they were essentially fighting the church
Danny phantom (Danny phantom):
Reason: his molecules got rearranged man. That can mean any disability. The world is world is oyster
Headcanon: it's painful but due to his healing factor it doesn't scar. Its why he got used to the pain of fighting so quick. Only phantom is allergic though both sides of him gets the constant adrenaline flow.
(Tell me if you guys want more disability headcanons and I'll try to follow suggestions depending on how much I know)

Can I get a BTS reaction to their child (baby, like 1 or 2 year old) giggling and laughing to them looking at themselves in the mirror? I just saw this happening. The dad was pushing the cart close and far away from the mirror, and the kid was DYING of laughter
Hello whitefoxgirl, I loved your request, it gave me lots of good ideas!!!! But I'm going to have to split it into two parts because I'm very sick at the moment so it's very difficult to write, I promise to try and get the rest up as soon as I can!!! I hope you like it 💜💜
Just a Happy Day:
𝓜𝓲𝓷 𝓨𝓸𝓸𝓷𝓰𝓲:
Since the birth of your daughter with Min Yoongi you didn't have much free time and you didn't have a day to enjoy without the responsibility of taking care of a baby, your husband did as much as he could to help with everything, but it was still very tiring. Wanting to please her, he took a day off and after a lot of persuasion he managed to convince her to go out with her friends while he stayed at home to take care of Jiyeon, as the girl was already 10 months old and always remained calm and calm with her father. He decided to accept, despite the uncomfortable feeling of being away from his little girl.
It was already getting dark when you returned with several bags of things you had bought for yourself and Jiyeon. Everything seemed quiet and very clean despite the few toys scattered around the living room and the large sofas, which was strange since there was always a little girl running around and filling the rooms with her sweet delicate voice and loud laughter that made your days happier.
As you climb the steps of the staircase leading to the second floor, you hear a low moan coming from one of the bedrooms, which catches your attention and makes you go up faster and try your best not to make a sound as you walk up to the door of the suite, you open the door just a little to peek at what they're both doing and you end up looking at the most adorable scene in the world. Yoong is with Jiyeon in his arms standing in front of the mirror playing together, he tilts his body so that his face disappears from the mirror and then returns to his previous position, letting out a "buh" that makes the girl laugh and clap her hands.
𝓙𝓾𝓷𝓰 𝓗𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓸𝓴:
After a tiring morning cleaning the apartment where you lived with Hoseok and your 6-month-old daughter Yeonju, taking the opportunity to sort out some things to donate and the presents she had received the last time your husband's friends came to visit with their children, you decided to lie down on the sofa for a few minutes just to rest but ended up dozing off for a couple of hours because you were so tired. When you woke up it was already afternoon, the sun was low and your body was less sore, but you were no longer on the sofa but on the big bed in your bedroom. Looking sideways towards the huge closet with a large mirror on the door, you saw your daughter's baby carriage with the little girl clapping her hands and laughing loudly while her father appeared and disappeared from the mirror.
Hoseok hummed a tune as he jumped in front of the mirror and then away. Every time the man disappeared, the little girl let out a loud laugh and clapped her hands in excitement at the "magic" her father was performing, which made her father do it more and more enthusiastically. Until he noticed you looking and turned towards you, a little flushed.
- Look love, she loves watching me do magic - he said excitedly before going back to playing with her, only this time determined to make you laugh too.
𝓚𝓲𝓶 𝓝𝓪𝓶𝓳𝓸𝓸𝓷:
With a baby at home, it was hard to find a quiet place in the house other than the library where Namjoon went to think, read and work for a while, which he did at least once a day after making sure his wife didn't need him and spending a lot of time playing with little Jae, who was a mini copy of his father.
Today the man had been locked in the library for a few hours working on a new song, but he hadn't been able to make much progress on the track and was starting to get frustrated when he heard a knock on the door and saw his wife open the door showing only her face.
- Hi, honey, I know you're busy, but could you take a look at Jae for a few minutes for me? - Yn asks with a cute smile, Namjoon smiles and nods, going to the door to take the chubby baby from his wife's hands. Jae smiles excitedly and holds out his arms to his father.
Despite being a six-month old baby, Jae is big and strong, always hungry and making a mess, his little brown eyes sparkling with love every time he sees his father. Namjoon holds him in his arms and kisses his chubby cheek, smiling at him, but the happiness of father and son only lasts a few minutes before the little one starts to throw a tantrum, whimpering as he flaps his arms in irritation. The man tries everything to calm him down, but it seems impossible. The father walks with the baby in his arms while rocking him slightly but he continues to grumble, until the man passes in front of the mirror and the baby lets out a low chuckle but starts crying again when Namjoon turns away, realizing this he starts playing with Jae through the mirror while humming the song he was working on.
When yn returned to the room, he found them playing together and laughing with each other in an adorable scene, because both of them, apart from their looks, had very similar laughs. Namjoon always looked immensely radiant when he had his son in his arms, and it was impossible not to get emotional watching him.
Sorry for any mistakes, I hope you like it 💜

Yesterday morning, at work, my older coworker was upset and had complaints about another worker pretty much right out the gate, and was basically going on about how he's the only person who does -insert tasks- around the shop despite; 1.) He is in two days during the regular work week, once when I am the only other person present, and then another where myself and another coworker (not the one he is complaining about) are there, and 2.) The other days he works are with the previous coworker, again, not the one he is complaining about.
He has not met this other coworker, and has not been present during days where they are working, and so does not know their work ethic or whether or not they are completing these tasks during the day or not.
He decided to "test" this coworker by not refiling a cannister for TWO WEEKS to see if they would do it, and I can attest to the fact that they didn't... because the cannister was full enough to not warrant topping it off, and the product in said cannister is also in a can located directly in front of it, and when the product is needed for making things, they've been taking it from the can... which is what I told them to do, because it keeps the stuff in the cannister open for customers to use.
I get being mad if you end up doing a task multiple times in a row, but it's also a common task that often has to be performed every day, as these products get depleted quickly.
I also pointed out that the other coworker he was "testing" often leaves 1-2 hours before closing, so the person who should be taking care of those tasks after that point is me, and that if he should be upset with anyone, that it should be with me, and that I would talk to the other coworker, but that it's not appropriate to let things slide just to have a "Gotcha!" moment.
I told him that if this was an issue, he should have told me the first time it happened, and not have sat on it for two weeks in hopes of catching them not doing their tasks and getting them into trouble, and, ultimately, I, while I didn't say it out loud, I found it incredibly inappropriate for him to do something like that without consulting either myself, as the manager, or the boss.
I don't think it's appropriate to test people to begin with, especially in a small working environment where this sort of attitude can get out of hand and result in resentment or distrust, and it is especially not the place of a fellow employee, no matter how senior, to try and teach another a lesson in this fashion either.
To top things off, this employee also would not listen to me when I told him to take a break, as he was clearly getting emotional and needed to go somewhere to calm down so we could talk without things getting needlessly heated, and then, when I informed him that I wanted to leave at 2pm instead of 4pm, he said, very condescendingly, "We'll see how busy we are, and then maybe." as if my words meant nothing to me.
I could feel myself getting annoyed so I walked away and did other things until I was level headed enough to talk to him.
He ultimately ended up in a better mood after sitting for a while and eating his breakfast, and I still made him go home at 2pm, because while the problem was discussed and dealt with, I was/am still annoyed that he would try and test another employee, and that he didn't listen to me when I told him to take a break.
I just finished working twelve days straight, I did not want to have to deal with this on top of everything, but here we are.
All I can say is that I better not get any calls this weekend, because he's working with the boss' dad, and if those two can't manage to work together and I have to come in, I will NOT be happy.

"Like we've always hated each other"
Tantrum.
intro part 1 part 2 part 3
It took much less time than expected! I hope it's enjoyable to read, god this is so slowburn, so they still hate each other! But... do they really?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sun... the sun that comes through the window... the fucking sun.
The most recent being to move into the hotel after its restoration, he was fighting a battle to the death with nothing more and nothing less than the sheets of his bed, nothing new for the king to say the least, In his mind it was the eighth time he told himself he would get up, And this was the real thing, he thought for the eighth time...
When he heard a door suddenly open, and even though he loved his daughter with all his heart, he couldn't wish for anything other than that she would leave him for another hour to rot for a little longer in his nest of depression and procrastination, Which didn't happen that way.
-DAD! I'm sorry to bother you... I know you were still sleeping and stuff! despite being past noon.. But your help would reeeeaaaally help me a lot rigth now!
Even though his body betrayed him and made him want to sink and become one with the mattress, knowing that his daughter needed something from him gave him enough motivation to sit up in bed.
-Whatever you need honey..
His voice was still hoarse and sleepy, revealing his little to none desire to exist at that moment, but surely when he did something he would feel better... he hoped.
The princess gave a happy squeal to take out some notebook pages with lists and colorful crayon drawings, and grabbed one in particular which she put on her father's nightstand while she put the rest away with some clumsiness.
-Today I have an activity planned but I mixed up my schedules with next week's, so I have nothing to start with!
The blonde looked very worried about this problem she had, and Lucifer thought that maybe she would ask him for things to buy and he could just magically appear them, piece of cake.
-So while I fix this I wanted you to put these flyers in the businesses that already gave me permission!
Wait. What?
the angel really thought He could get away with doing this quickly with a little magic trick, but he really had no way of appearing flyers in specific places which he had no idea where they were..
-erm.. Dear.. Can't we just put them in... I don't know... everywhere?
-Nop! Because today's topic is... consent!
She said while making a rainbow in the air with her hands , Therefore, the little angel had no choice but to personally walk through the disgusting streets of the pride ring... his ring. While he was hanging little pieces of paper on the windows of the shops of the ungrateful sinners that owned them. But... it was for Charlie... so how bad could it be, He stopped thinking about how bad it would be and instead saw Charlie's smile explaining how she wanted to deal with today's topic, he saw her eyes full of sparkle and got out of bed.
-Count on me char-char, I'll take care of it!
Charlie smiled from ear to ear and hugged him, leaning down, he had taken Lucifer a little by surprise but he gladly reciprocated
-Thank you.. means a lot.
They both felt a silence after that, it wasn't awkward, it was like they were telling each other without words that they were trying to heal something, And even if it couldn't happen overnight, they were trying, Charlie knew they would make it, Lucifer... he could only hope so.
But after that charlie decided to left the room to let her father get ready, she also had too many things to do, time was against her and she wasn't going to waste it.
-Well.. see ya!
She said goodbye with her hand, while her father did it in the same way, Once she was outside, the angel walked slowly to his closet, looking for something more casual, but ended up wearing his usual outfit but without his white jacket, he rolled up his sleeves and headed to the bathroom to fix his hair, he saw himself in the mirror for a moment, a wave of melancholy drowning him for a few moments, He saw himself worn out, tired.
He washed his face with cold water as an attempt to wash away the draining thoughts, it just... everything used to be so simple for him, at least sometimes... He left the bathroom and opened a window in his room, looking to breathe something other than his own self-loathing, A burst of sulfur aroma was what he found, he sighed, At this moment he missed the aroma of fruit and freshly wet grass... he may not be missing the regime of heaven but... that garden and it's smells sure were something else
He realized that he had gotten quite lost in thought, so he washed his face one last time Seeking to return to reality, and avoiding the hassle of seeing so many faces at the reception... he opened a golden portal under his feet that left him at the exit of the hotel, now he only had to...
walk.
Lovely.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•
-WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT.
A demon twice his size was shouting at him in the middle of the street, the lamb-like demon had bruises he was bleeding and holding the demon's hand that grabbed him by the neck while lifting him off the floor, he didn't seem scared, in fact he didn't feel the slightest bit of fear despite the dangerous situation he found himself in, as if he believed that at any moment one of his exterminators would arrive and take him out of there, or simply as if it didn't enter his head that he wasn't untouchable.
-F-FUCK YOU.. YOU.. FUCKING PUSSY!
He tried to get free even with less oxygen than required, he increasingly gained strength to kick his attacker into the pit of his stomach, leaving him breathless momentarily and falling to the ground, he took a deep breath and before the opponent could notice Adam was half a block away, he may have been out of shape, but he managed to ran into an alley and lean against the wall, while he saw the idiot run past him.
-SHIT- FUCKING- DAMN IT!
He dropped to the floor sliding down the wall, wiped the blood from his nose, then saw the blood on his hand..
Red.
His blood was... Red. Did he feel.. anger? No.. sadness? Of course not.. he was not a pussy.. He felt... To hell with what he felt all this was bullshit and he shouldn't be going through this! He shouldn't be here! He Should not.. he shouldn't be here...he was the first man...God's most beautiful creation! Fuck..he couldn't be rotting in this shit hole together with all these pieces of shit! They all came from him. where is his respect..
Interrupting his internal monologue bar existential crisis, he heard footsteps and unconsciously clung to the wall with his new claws, since he had arrived he had already escaped from five guys who were looking to kick his ass, perhaps a sixth could be avoided.
Humming a catchy melody, a familiar face passed by looking for something, looked at a sheet of paper, then at the shops, Then he approached the window of the establishment and stuck a flyer on it, without realizing the stare he had on him, Although of course, many people had looked at him since he left the hotel, he had had to send a couple flying, so it wasn't something especially peculiar
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
of all the habitants of hell... IT SHOULD BE FUCKING LUCIFER THE FIRST FAMILIAR FACE HE SEES?! This day, this place and all of this it's nothing but a stupid damn joke!
What the fuck is he doing? Hanging ruffles? Last time he tried to sell him that he was such a big deal, what was he doing hanging fucking pamphlets in the disgusting streets full of shit?
The gaze that Lucifer felt on his shoulder felt heavier and heavier, when he looked out of the corner of his eye he noticed a sinner looking towards the flyer he puted on the glass, and an idea crossed his mind, what would be better than advertising the hotel? Well, make it work of course! He could do this, it was just... talking to a stranger! Perfect, and the bad thing was that... he had to talk to a stranger. come on morningstar! For your daughter's approval!
-Heey you.
They both remained in total silence, panic could be seen on Adam's face, had he recognized him? It seemed like no... everything pointed to no, but that didn't stop his brain from wanting to run away and leave him alone in that moment, Lucifer had an ackward face and it shows in the way his eye twitched that he regretted his decision ever since the words left his mouth, but there was no way to take it back now, meanwhile Adam considered the possibility of just running away.
-I see you... watching from there! You can... read it. You know.. it's a pamphlet. They are for... reading-
He could easily smash his hand against his face in an exaggerated way, but this wasn't the time for that, if he brought a guest to the hotel today Charlie would be so happy! he can do it, it was like selling, It's not that he knew how to sell things... but how hard could it be
Meanwhile Adam looked at him with a disappointed face, his communication skills were as deplorable as they had always been, but he glanced at the pamphlet, of course, their fifth class hotel.
-It has everything! You should tell every person you see in hell about it.
Adam's disgusted face spoke for him, while Lucifer sighed, obviously it wouldn't be that easy to bring someone to the hotel in one day, but for Adam everything was going wonderfully since at least he didn't know it was him.
The feeling did not last too long, as he felt a figure forming behind him, heat emanating from near his back, the lamb-like demon feared the worst, and unfortunately he was right.
-To claim to be the first dick you are quite the pussy.
Said a demon behind him, twice his size, Shark-like, It was the guy from before for sure, shit-
-wait. what was that first thing you said?
before the words had a chance to come out of the angel's mouth in their entirety, He felt a gust of wind pass by him but as far as he was concerned, the wind doesn't scream.
As he turned around at the speed of the wind itself, he could briefly see his future guest crashing into the brick wall at the hands of the stupid demon who had interrupted his negotiation attempt, in a moment six wings came out angelically from the sovereign's back to place himself just in time between the two demons with a flutter of his wings, whit one hand he stoped the inevitable punch destined to hit Adam's face.
-Nobody taught you not get into the grown up's conversations... right?
He said this while a grin formed in his face, showing sharp teeth which this guy would remember all his life, Lucifer released the guy's fist to hold his wrist and with a twist of his hip he easily sent him to the other side of the pentagram.
-now. where did you get that phrase from?
When the angel looked behind him he could see nothing more and nothing less than two hooves walking away two meters away
-Shit shit shit shit shit SHIT!
Although Adam's intention was to lose sight of the small man following him, when he looked back all he could see was his imminent arrival to the ground, receiving a tackle from Lucifer, they both fell rolling around as if they were two little children fighting in the school garden
-SPEAK FILTHY CREATURE
He demanded, standing on top of the lamb, despite it being half his size and looking humorous, the truth is that Adam couldn't get out of his grip no matter how hard he tried.
-STOP BEING SO DAMN DENSE BITCH!
Oh God. He recognized that voice, he recognized that stupid self-nickname, and worst of all, he recognized that stupid tantrum.
-how the hell. are you here rigth now.
-Why should I say that to you, huh?!
-maybe because YOU DON'T HAVE ANOTHER OPTION?! MAYBE??
Both continued to struggle with each other, one to escape and one to have answers. Lucifer was afraid of letting him escape and that he could cause some trouble, although thinking about it carefully... he looked at his lamb's ears, his hooves, his eyes and his teeth... now he was a simple sinner, There wasn't much he could accomplish even if he tried, he'd probably be screwed, he may already had taked a few beatings even.
-Well, I have no idea! I hope that helps sucker!
He said and spit in his face, something he didn't thought about properly, or didn't thought about at all, The ruler's face was irritated, as if he were putting up with a spoiled child, well... that's practically what he's doing.
-That's all, Let's go.
He cleaned his face whit his sleve and grabbed him by the collar of his clothes and began to drag him along the sidewalk, he had an exhausted expression as if he didn't have what it took to face this situation today, although he probably wouldn't any day.
-the FUCK. ARE YOU DOING?!
He said, fluttering his black wings everywhere, managing to irritate Lucifer by obstructing his vision, forcing him to stop, to which he grunted in annoyance.
-Well. taking care of you! What else am I supposed to do! It's what I should always do! because it seems like your entire existence is made to cause me problems!
Adam's gaze could be nothing but anger, he struggled away from Lucifer's grasp, which was curious to see due to the difference in sizes, once free he turned around to look at him from the front
- YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, I WAS MADE TO BE FUCKING PERFECT! YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT.
-If you were as perfect as you say, how do you explain this eh! How do you think this happened?! You are not in this putrid pit for being the dick of the dicks PAL!
The lamb growled in exasperation as he stamped on the ground with his right hoof, after pulling his hair looking to escape from his angryness he lookef at the little one in the eye.
- IF I DON'T CARE, WHY THE FUCK SHOULD YOU CARE, YOU PIECE OF CRAP!
He felt a lump in his throat, but not as painful as the lump in the throat of the king of hell himself, Why should he care? Why the fuck should he care??
-Oh then i saw You die a fucking WEEK AGO. and You expect me to see that You are alive and let you wander through hell knowing that any demon is out there KICKING YOUR FUCKING ASS?! A THANK YOU WAS ENOUGH!
Lucifer screamed as his eyes turned from yellow to red from how infuriating he found having to argue with this idiot, he was never particularly reasonable but right now he was more irritable than normal and had no idea why
- THANK YOU?! OH SURE THEN YOU THINK YOU CAN TREAT ME LIKE A CHARITY CASE FOR YOUR BRAT'S SHITTY HOTEL HUH!? Well I have news for you DUDE!
Adam He kicked dirt from the street, dirtying Lucifer's clothes, who coughed in response to the cloud of dust
-im not your fucking guinea pig.
He narrowed his gaze in disgust, looking down literally and metaphorically at his contrary.
-Are you allergic to kindness? or why is it that you can't accept a fucking favor!?
Adam's Contemptuous face became one of intense anger and he took a step forward and brought his face closer to the angel's.
-from YOU? Of course. Good joke.
Lucifer had enough, he wouldn't wait to know where this reunion could go, It's not even worth wasting his breath on... Adam. Or at least that's what he thought.
-you know what? It's fine with me. It's not like you're not used to everyone leaving you, stay like that, as always, stay alone.
The king shook his clothes to remove the dirt, with one hand he snapped his fingers and as he arrived he left, Adam was left with an unreadable expression, he didn't move from there, he just stood there.
still and quiet.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
The golden portal opened above the hotel's front door, since he had avoided greeting people in the morning he assumed he could say hello in the aftern.. nigth, it was nigth.
Well, anyways, he would greet them at night then.
Opening the door abruptly without worrying about whether it was timely or not, he stepped into the hall.
-HEELLOOO everyone! How does the night treat you all?
From there you could easily see the bartender behind the bar along with the little maid sitting at the bar playing with some dead bug, on the sofa lay their most exotic guest and a certain deer showed no signs of being close, much to the king's liking.
-we have been better short king, But nothing that a drink can't fix, rigth wiskers?
The feline rolled his eyes but smiled at the end, and began to mix different liquids, When he looked in the direction the king was his eyes widened in surprise
- wow. It looks like you were hited by a truck.
Angel Dust looked in the same direction realizing what the bartender was referring to, It really looked like they had made him crawl on the floor, well, in fact something like that happened-
- someone played too rough whit ya~?
Husk put his palm to his face as Nifty leaned over the bar counter
- I like rough.
She said, sketching a sinister smile, to which Lucifer reacted with a certain degree of displeasure, and Husk put a donut from the bar counter in her mouth to make her shut up for a little bit
- umh.. rigth. Well no, I wasn't hit by a truck, and no! Neither, the other thing. I just ran into a few issues. Nothing to worry about.
While this small exchange of words was going on, footsteps could be heard in the distance approaching faster and faster, ending with a hug from behind to Lucifer's surprise.
-DAD! What happened? It took you hours to come back!
-Oh come on, come on... it's nothing at all! A few small issues, a few hours! But everything is fine now.
While the angel convinced Charlie that it was nothing, sounds of static reached everyone's ears, covering them in the act, everyone anticipated the arrival of you-know-who, it was nothing new for him to arrive in such a dramatic way, especially if the king was there prior to his arrival
-How interesting... I would swear it would take more than a few small matters to delay the big boss.. a couple hours.
The one who had just arrived in the room exclaimed very arrogantly, with a smile from ear to ear per usual , Charlie watched him appear on the spot and waved happily, only to receive a greeting from the deer-like demon in return.
-oh oh oh If you only knew You little shit.
Lucifer smiled evilly knowing that if Alastor ran into Adam again the last thing he would do would be act with that arrogance so characteristic of his
-Honey there is someone at the door.
Vaggie entered the room and to the conversation to warn her girlfriend about the presence of someone outside, so charlie left the two old men arguing to answer the door
-Oh but tell us your highness, what were these "issues" then.
-Nothing that your walnut-sized brain can understand piece of-
Two brown hooves entered, stepping on the red carpet that covered the hotel's entrance hall, to which Charlie said very excitedly and taking small jumps until they reached the area where everyone was, her girl on one side of the stranger and her on the remaining side.
Lucifer's sight changed from being fixed on Alastor to seeing the newcomer and although the king was already prepared to smile at the person to receive them, when he looked at him carefully, the only thing that came out of his mouth was..
-FU- ADAM?! THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE.
When everyone heard who he was talking about, they stayed cold and glued to the floor. With his new demonic form, no one would have guessed that it was the leader of the exorcists in person, or rather... in demon.
-ADAM?!
-adam??
-THAT ADAM?!
-OH OH estás muerto CABRON!
-Mhhh..
After the domino reaction Adam with lowered ears tried to talk keeping his dignity and pride, not very successfully, with a stupid smile on his face he speak
-heey bitchees.. so.. what's for dinner?
You could swear there was the sound of a cane breaking in the background followed by a static sound.

Daughterhood in Bungo Stray Dogs - Part 3 - Aya
So in light of me finally reading Another Story and my recent obsession with Arcane and its focus on daughters and their relations with their parents (which I love) I wanted to do something like that for BSD. I have 4 main examples (Kyouka, Tsujimura, Aya and Elise) I'll talk about in depth and save some mentions of others for the end part.
Part 1 - Kyouka - linked here.
Part 2 - Tsujimura - linked here.
This part is about Aya and her relationship with her parental figures - specifically her father, Bram and Kunikida. Next part will be Elise.
Aya is the only one of these who was not transferred an ability from one of their parents (at least as of now, there's still time I guess). Instead she currently has no ability, but her relationship with her father (and by association, Bram and Kunikida) is one I'm really interested in delving into.
So Aya's father is a police officer (and also, as I just found out on a reread, an alcoholic) and raised her and her sister after their mother d!ed when they were young. Her sister also d!ed when she was 8yrs old (she's now 10yrs old), and her father was very strict on her as a result. He often compares her to her 'perfect' mother and sister, which she despises as she cannot compete with perfection. In fact, they are only considered 'perfect' by him is because they are d3ad. She cannot ever compete with his vision of her mother/sister because it is skewed by grief. (Now, to clarify, that is not an excuse for his actions - what he does is clearly physically and mentally abusive and harmful - but an insight into his reasoning which is really important to know when looking into his actions and words.) He is actually the one that makes Aya join a karate class (as physically training to make her move more 'elegantly' as the manga puts it) which she enthusiastically participates in as she feels like she can help save people with her skills.
It's really interesting that despite the abuse, she still admires her father, the 'most badass warrior of justice in the entire world' as she calls him. Her father is a cop who has seemingly a high position of command (I can only interpret the picture here) - she essentially wants to enforce justice just like her father (which is also further interesting based on how many of these women/girls end up wanting to go into a career/role similar to their parents despite them not having great relationships with them). She recalls his advice when pushing the table/navigating the airport lockdown, she thinks of him in her potentially last moments, and she thrives in her karate class and yet he doesn't seem to respect her outside of the traditional roles of women and daughters or the impossible goals of living up to the skewed perception of d3ad people. It's really sad to see how much she thinks of her yet he doesn't seem to care much for her, especially when she acts in a way that falls outside the traditionally feminine - she doesn't care about traditional gender roles, instead wants to be "one of the good guys". She has a very strong belief in justice and being morally 'good' (which may be inherent but also may be strengthened by her dad's role as a cop and her idealised view of him). It's like she views him as this idealised justice serving good guy cop (a likely impossible standard) despite the fact that he holds her to the impossible standards of her mother/sister's legacy. Point being - despite everything he did, she still admires her father deeply.
Throughout the series, she also spends time with Kunikida and Bram (who I like to think of as mentor/possibly parental figures to her because frankly I hate her actual dad). To start with Kunikida, she meets him at the train station and protects her from a planted b0mb (she had thought of it to be a lost item and was trying to help, showing her as kind but naive). She is prepared to 'make him pay' as she says and sort of forces Kunikida to help her find out what's going on before police get her (she's very eager to help and be a 'good guy') and he begrudgingly accepts to help her. Kunikida is incredibly protective of her already (mostly because of his ideals to protect innocent people) but the hug when he was ready to set off the b0mb with her so she's healed by Yosano... he's so sweet. Also Aya saying "It's fine. It's what's best for everyone" when the b0mb is about to go off really shows her dedication to justice - willing to d!e for it and accepting that at such a young age. I would love to choose to ignore the whole thing at the end of the chapter where Aya talks about how he doesn't have a wife or anything.... but to me i think it's because she admires him greatly (I'm going to be real I can't figure out why Asagiri thought that bit was a good idea but still has to be included). It's also nice that Kunikida is looking out for her during the airport arc.
Bram is the one I want to talk about more probably because of the fact that she is a spitting image of his now-deceased daughter. Their first meeting is when Bram is talking all about him being the 'Lord of Darkness' and what not and Aya just does. not. really. care. She's like the first person to not be too scared of/try to control him in a bit and their silly interactions are great - they get along really well pretty quickly especially when Aya introduces him to the concept of an ipod/pocket radio. Despite his pleas to be 'put back', he eventually agrees to help her when she describes how she has nothing besides her resolve (she's a really brave kid and it seems like she's modelled this around Kunikida in a way, saying how it's based on the idea that if danger comes around, she'll never run away from it). She's fighting to prove herself, not only to herself but potentially to her father - as it could be interpreted by her flashback when she's asked what she's fighting for.
Bram, despite his original disinterest, is actually very protective of Aya from early on - when she first gets hit by one of the vampires he literally frightens him off with a stern 'How dare you?'. When she smartly finds a way out of the airport (vans of stock for the shops) he actually praises her and gives her credit (but then does call her foolish for suggesting the sword could just be 'taken out' of him so..). Aya also talks back to him a bit but in a very funny way ("I ought to drown you in a bathtub." is my personal favourite). Whilst their conversations do not give conventional father-daughter vibes I do think there's an element of care between them (and some misunderstanding on Bram's part).
When Bram and Aya are on top of the control tower as bait for the ADA, he tells her that he knew about Fukuchi's command and didn't tell her because "If I did... then you..." - now I don't know exactly what it means, but I assume that's because it would perhaps ruin her motivations and assume the task was impossible. She tries to hype him up saying he can do something but she still tries her best to do something because she is so dedicated to being a 'good guy' - starting by trying to remove the sword from Bram. The exchange whilst she's doing this is so important - "Bram you said you didn't care what happened to the world?" "Not the world, no." and then the comparison between Aya and Bram's daughter... they're literally the same. He see her as his daughter reincarnated... and is willing to protect her as such. And the way he looks so visibly scared when she literally throws herself to her possible d3ath to add her weight to the table and get the sword out only adds to this. This is where he decides to protect her with his life, becoming her knight.
When he feels Fyodor starting to take over his first action is to make sure Aya gets to safety even though he is bound to d!e (Also shout out to Fukuzawa protecting Aya during the explosion Fyodor creates). His command to protect Aya even sticks around once Fyodor has taken over, showing how strong his dedication to protect her is. When she starts to lose her resolve in the wake of the explosion he comes back yet again (by possessing Akutagawa for a bit! He's dedicated) in order to protect her from the falling debris but also to try and protect her desire to be a hero. She pretends not to care about him basically dying as if she's in denial about him actually dying, annoyed that he didn't keep his promise to protect her (the same one he made to his daughter and failed to do so). He tells her, "My Valiant Daughter, you yourself must become the knight" - showing that he truly views her as his daughter reincarnated. The flashback he has to his own daughter saying "one day I'll carry you on my back" makes me so sad because like that's so completely his daughter in his mind and he has to leave her again, doing his best to protect her bravery and resolve in his last words.
Essentially, Daughterhood is so essential to Aya's character. She's constantly judged for not being a good enough daughter by her dad, and Bram truly views her as a reincarnation of his daughter. For her it is full of many contradictory emotions and experiences - admiration, anger, protection, pain, impossible standards, bravery, justice, loss. Daughterhood has shaped her life as she knows it in huge ways, and has also shaped the people around her (specifically Bram). It is so intertwined with her life and it's really fascinating how it is presented through multiple other characters as her parental figures. Daughterhood is confusing, it's bad and good at the same time, she has a desire to break out of its traditional regulations, and yet it is so important to her.
[This one ended up being very long-winded but I truly love talking about Aya and especially Bram's dynamic with her (they melt my heart). I also find her and her dad's dynamic very very interesting.
My decision to listen to Sun Bleached Flies by Ethel Cain whilst finishing this off was actually a good one because it reminds me of Aya's character in some ways. This took me ages so there may be some time between this and the Elise + other examples part that I basically haven't started yet. Hope you enjoyed!]

I just came up with the saddest theory. What if the reason for Silver's sleepiness is because Lillia doesn't love him enough? I mean the reason he's sleepy is because of the residual magic the guardian fairy casted on him right? Where he'll sleep and only wake up by parental love. Lillia found and raised him but he still has the problem of the sleepiness. So doesn't that mean Lillia doesn't love him enough? And it's heartbreaking. Because Lillia cried when Malleus was born and he considered it his happiest moment. And he seemed nonchalant when he told Silver they're not really related in a flashback.
And I think I just wanna torture myself and others emotionally by writing this.
LISTEN I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THE IMPLICATIONS OF SILVER'S SLEEPINESS CONSTANTLY! You have given me a chance to talk about the DiaFam and I WILL GLADLY DO SO!!! Let me torture you right back.
But before I get into it, just to be safe: DIASOMNIA BOOK SPOILERS AHEAD
Since I refuse to believe that Lilia simply doesn't love him enough, I'd rather go with the "Silver is the one who thinks being an adopted child means that he doesn't truly deserve his father's love" route.
1. Because that's still such a good angst and 2. Because the game itself tells us that's what he thinks and that *Sebek voice* HE'S WRONG! LILIA DOES LOVE HIM!!!
I do think the trigger for his pseudo-curse coming back was his realization that he's adopted. I might be remembering wrong since I usually binge the entire update as soon as it comes out and it's been months, but in Lilia's memories of raising Silver there's no mention of Silver falling sleep randomly any time before he finds out he's adopted.
And I feel like Lilia telling Silver he's adopted so casually was him just thinking "I'm obviously a fae and he's clearly a human, he should be aware of it already," plus Lilia does accept that he might have kept quiet about it because he subconsciously knew that Silver would be sad about it.
Now, Lilia's thoughts do tells us that his choice to adopt Silver in the first place was due to him wanting to set an example for Malleus. He chose to take this baby in despite knowing who his parents were, because if he wanted Malleus to grow up kind and keep the peace with humans, he should be the one to lead the way.
He still questions his relationship with baby Silver when he calls him "dad" for the first time, and the first one to point out how much he truly cares about Silver is Malleus himself when he tells him that "[Lilia] would be very sad if the baby got sick." Malleus overcame his hatred for humans because Lilia cares about one.
But the point where I feel it finally clicked for Lilia that he truly loves Silver is the acorn bracelet scene. Before this point he still felt the divide between fae and human, but then he is shocked to find out that Silver wants him to live a long happy life with him despite Silver being a human. This is the result of Lilia willingly choosing to try and love a human: the human -his son- loves him back.
And you wanna know what makes me insane? the immediate scene after this is Silver finding out he's adopted. The moment Lilia fully loves Silver is around the time Silver questions his worthiness for the first time. Also, isn't this the moment when Silver stops calling him "papa" and starts calling him "Father"?
So in conclusion: Lilia's love for Silver did not come immediately like it did with Malleus, but rather, he willingly chose to love him. The one who struggled to accept it was Silver himself.
How could he (the son of Lilia's enemies) ever compare to Malleus (the son of the people he loved, the one he shed blood sweat and tears for during hundreds of years just to be able to see him) in Lilia's eyes? And yet, what finally broke the little self-control Malleus had left was Silver's tears...
Edit: I got so caught up in the love they feel for each other that I forgot to clarify: Silver DOES accept Lilia's love as of the recent updates. This is all me rambling about their relationship, we still do not have a clear answer about the reason behind Silver's sleepiness 💔
tbh since the DIasomnia characters seem to be closer to the Maleficent version (not the animated Sleeping Beauty) the fairies probably fucked up the initial spell for Silver

I've been meaning to ask for a while, since you've read so much more Supers books than me, but what are your thoughts on Kon being retconned as Clark and Lex's lab grown love child? Asides from that one mind-controlled-into-shaving-his-head incident, did that ever factor into anything again? Is it even still canon? If it were up to you would you keep it and try to do something interesting with it or just sweep it under the rug and pretend it was never true?
I think it would be a great retcon if they ever did anything with it aside from one (1) incredibly stupid story.
Because the thing is, originally Kon's human donor was Paul Westfield, and genuinely, who the fuck cares about Paul Westfield? He was only relevant for, like, a year. He's a footnote at best.
But Lex? There's so much potential there:
How does Clark feel about it? Does he trust Kon less? Does he feel guilty about that? Does he defend him to people (Batman) who would question him?
What are Lex's plans? You can't tell me he would sic Kon on other heroes once and give up. Lex always plays the long game. He has to have other Machiavellian schemes. What if Kon gets the clone plague again and Lex has the cure? What if he built in a vulnerability other than kryptonite? Most interestingly, what if Lex cares?
And of course, most importantly, how does Kon feel about it? We've seen him ignoring it and then moping about it. And I think it was his Adventure Comics run where we saw him tracking his own behavior to see if he was more like Superman or Lex. But what if a story really interrogated the fact that Kon is a very different person than Clark? (Especially in light of Jon, Clark's mini-me.) Kon likes money; Lex is a billionaire. Kon loves attention; Lex is functionally a supervillain because he's jealous that people like Superman more. Kon is a sweet boy but he's not a shining paragon of virtue. Is that because of Lex's genes? Is everything good about Kon simply Superman's genes? Is Kon is own person with free will that exists beyond picking a donor to emulate? Is a clone a person at all? Let's get into it, DC!
If it was up to me, I would write two stories about it:
First is the story where Kon and Lex actually develop a relationship. Kon and Clark has never been close, and Kon has rarely had a stable home or consistent parental figures (Rex was untrustworthy, Dubbilex got written out a lot, Guardian died and came back as a child, Pa died, Ma lived but Kon died and then got retconned into another dimension...). Kon is primed to fall for lovebombing, especially if Lex is doing one of his regular "no, really, I'm Redemption Arc-ing for real this time!" routines. Especially right now with a trillion Supers Clark likes better hanging around Metropolis, and Lex swearing he's going to be Good...what if he stopped trying to convince Clark, and started trying to convince Kon? What if he spent time with him, and listened to him, and took his side against Clark, and let's be real, probably spent money like water on him? And what if Lex, despite himself, discovered that...he actually cared about his clone son?
Of course, Lex's self-interest would eventually win out. We see this over and over again, where he sacrifices his relationships on the altar of his ambition, where he just can't quite love anyone else as much as he loves being evil. And yes, Kon ends the story hurt, but also with another reminder that validation needs to come from within and not from a billionaire who wants something from you, even if he is your other dad.
(And maybe Clark is reminded that he has failed Kon. Again. Ahem.)
The second story I would write is the one where Lex goes to jail and Kon somehow inherits Lexcorp and many billions of dollars and is cartoonishly irresponsible with all of it. Lex gets out of jail and there's a giraffe in his office and all of his doomsday devices are full of Zesti Cola.
But yeah, instead DC does nothing with it. Literally a few months ago they had Clark and Kon and Lex all having a conversation about a villain Lex created and gave TTK to - so like, talking explicitly about how Lex created Kon, too - and aside from Kon being mildly snide, that was it. That was it! DC WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS. WHAT IS THE POINT OF SETTING UP SOMETHING SO JUICY AND THEN LEAVING THAT JUICE UNSQUOZE.

Scary Sherry, season 1 finale!
Best. Episode. Of. Season. One. (Should i rank them?)
I love Goochberg (Mercedes Ruehl)! I wish she would have come back also. Like once every season she shows up in Lassies life somehow, wreaking havoc but ultimately teaching him something about himself like they did this time. Which, by the way, Chief Vick 1000% did that to get Lassie out of his own ass haha

Shannon woodward did a phenomenal job as alice bundy. There was so much depth to her character, you could really feel the pain she was in. This is something Psych also does very well. They have their comedy bits sure, but for the most part they don’t forget that a dead body was a person first. Like in Forget Me Not, they humanize our victim by telling us the woman who died liked to play scrabble with her friends. And Shawn has repeatedly said may they rest in peace, which seems small, but i think it shows they respect the subject matter for what it is. Im not saying they’re perfect, but considering this show is 90% jokes, it’s nice that their 10% drama is handled with such care.
When this scene plays, I only watch James because i watched the commentary and he said he could barely get through this scene and you can see him trying not to break haha
Tumblr media
It’s interesting that Gus is over at Henry’s so often, to the point that he’s almost like his second kid. Theres two reasons i think this happens 1. Shawn asks him to come over so he won’t have to be alone with his dad. 2. Henry and Gus have an unspoken agreement that because Gus is supporting Shawn so much financially Henry is paying him in food. Like child support lol it’s also interesting that they’ve reached a point of family dinners essentially. I wonder how much of this is Shawn feeling a sense of obligation because it’s his dad, how much of him still seeks his acceptance and approval, and how much is him trying to bury the hatchet. And then on Henry’s side i wonder how much is him recognizing that he could do better, how much is trying to rebuild this relationship (that he probably blames himself for destroying though i doubt hes even admitted that to himself), and how much is simply needing Shawn for the exposure to cases again.
And we get quite a bit of character development for our cops. Lassiter sees how his perception of self doesn’t match with what he’s putting out, Juliet experiences some real personal danger and handled herself. And that end scene, was such a great small gesture that showed us despite their history, Lassie is part of the group.
Final note: Look, at how perfectly executed this scene is! The running, the screaming, the jumping, pretending to be brave, and the cherry on top putting his hand through the open window!!!! Dying. Dead. Resuscitated. Choked on laughter. Died again.

hi, bestie! can i ask for 3, 6 and 8? if it’s not too much 🥺
hii! no, ofc not! thank you for asking 🫶✨
wil post is here
A Liam Dunbar Story
okay, so this one is something that is very dear to me bc liam is such a comfort character to me (anger issues and all). i kinda wanted to think about how liam grew up bc we don't know much about his childhood, real dad or family in general. i have this hc that liam has an anxious attachment style bc he was really worried about scott leaving and clearly down bad when hayden had left. besides that, i think liam's ied is something really inetersting to look at! so this wip just kinda shows liam in different life stages. there's no thiam and it's all based on my own perception of liam! i made a thread about him on twt, the link is here.
this is still a wip bc i'm still figuring out some details even tho it's mainly done (i also started working on a jenna dunbar story, which yeah, is more like an oc of me, but hey, im an adult i can write whatever the heck i want lol)
-----
Liam has always been told that he’s too much.
Too loud. Too angry. Too explosive.
It’s been that way since he was little, long before the wolf got into his blood. Before fangs and claws, before supernatural control was ever something he had to fight for—he was already fighting himself.
It’s exhausting.
Carrying around that much fire, never knowing when it’s going to spill out and burn everything down.
1. It Starts Young
Jenna always said he was just passionate.
That’s how she framed it when teachers sent home notes about his temper, when he cried over the smallest things, when he screamed because someone broke his favorite toy.
"He's not bad," she'd say, firm, even when Liam saw how exhausted she was. "He just feels things more."
But that never made it easier.
Because no matter what his mom said, Liam knew what people thought.
They saw his anger before they saw him.
They saw his tantrums, his outbursts, his inability to control his emotions, and they whispered about what a difficult child he was.
But they never saw how much he tried.
They never saw how hard he fought to hold it in, to stay quiet, to be good.
His father never saw it either.
Or maybe he did and just didn’t care.
Sexy Dagger
as i mentioned in a previous post, this is just pure crack with a very drunk liam who is not aware theo is actually also his theo
-----
Then Liam, blissfully unaware of the emotional crisis he’d just triggered, grinned and leaned in like he was about to share the world’s greatest secret.
“And he’s so good in bed,” Liam added conspiratorially, as if Theo didn’t already know this. “Like, amazing. I mean, I don’t wanna brag, but...”He trailed off, waggling his eyebrows in what he probably thought was subtle but just looked like an exaggerated attempt at sending some kind of drunken Morse code.
Theo rolled his eyes, his cheeks heating despite himself. “Got it, Dunbar. Your boyfriend’s a god among men.”
“Oh, he is,” Liam insisted, grabbing Theo’s arm for emphasis, his expression deadly serious. “And I love him. Like, so much.” He exhaled dreamily, then announced with great importance, “I’m gonna marry him, you know.”
Theo’s heart did something annoyingly soft at that. “You’re gonna marry him, huh?”
“Yup!” Liam nodded with so much enthusiasm he nearly launched himself off the curb. “So you shouldn’t be getting any ideas, okay? ‘Cause you’re nice. Super nice. But my boyfriend? He’s my soulmate.”
Theo stared at him, caught between laughing and kissing the idiot senseless. “Noted. No ideas.”
can't tell what's real (only your skin on mine)
alright, as i actually am still working very hard on this (i am a liar i have literally almost nothing but i promise i WILL start working on it once march is over and i have more free time) i don't have much more snippets to share other than this:
here's another snippet
----
“Someone—?” Liam’s breath hitched, rage and fear twisting in his chest. “You’re not—disposable, Theo!”
Theo’s eyes darkened, his smirk twisting into something bitter. “Aren’t I? Because you sure as hell only call me when you need me.”
The words hit like claws to the chest.
Liam took a step back, jaw clenching. “That’s not—”
“Don’t lie to me,” Theo hissed, stepping forward, his voice low and dangerous. “I know what this is, Dunbar. You use me. I’m the monster you can’t get rid of but can’t stop fucking.”
Liam snapped, shoving Theo back hard enough to make him stumble.
BUT i can share some stuff that will be part of the story:
liam & theo are switches bc i said so
liam feels A LOT, he just doesn't know how to deal with it
scott is a good alpha
theo is an emotionally repressed mess who is yearning and pining after liam like the loser he is (don't worry, istill love you, theo "simp" raeken)
mason is the best and most wonderful best friend (morey is also just very very cute & healthy)
hayden comes back to town
liam really goes through a tough time. the whole pack needs therapy but liam needs it ASAP (no liam, fcking your former enemy is NOT a form of therapy)
