It's taking me ages to write this chapter because every time I look through old VODs / notes to check something, I come across moments like this that make me want to lie down face-first on the floor:

I keep wondering, there are flowers (and maybe all kinds of potions if you flex and squint enoigh) that people can use to protect themselves or their sexual partner from getting them pregnant/becoming pregnant yourself. How about a disease?

I think about the amount of everyone Astarion bedded and it seems like he came out without any (physical) illnesses. I know it's a video game, but if we take more realistic approach, is there a way to protect yourself and/or your partner when it comes to protection from more than pregnancy? Is something like AIDS a thing in this universe? I mean, all kinds of creatures have sex and get pregnant, and have children, so there must be the danger or getting sick from a disease that transfers through a sexual act?

Or are we going with something like Astarion can't get sick because his body is undead and does not care for mortal diseases? Therefore he can't transfer any kind of disease to his partner?

I'm also thinking of Halsin and how many sexual partners he might've had. Surely there couldn't be only pregnancy protection? I mean, he isn't undead, he's an actual living and breathing creature, so how about him?

And how about these two having sex, how does that work when it comes to protection? Or, once again, we're going with "Astarion is safe in that department, therefore Halsin is safe as well"?

I’m wrapping up chapter 56 right now (i’m writing a nightmare sequence because of course I am) and had some background music on. this song came on and I am not okay because I this is EXACTLY what I hear in my head when I picture the final battle between Ariel and Voldemort.

At 1:06 they both cast their final spells against one another… at 1:34 that’s when Ariel starts to gain the upper hand and everyone starts losing their minds - Snape standing right behind her 😭
