It's her btw:
I don't collect figures anime/game/comic or otherwise bc of the price point. I collect dolls so this is out of my range knowledge. But I did some research on figures beforehand and decided at almost 3am that She was worth it. She is a 1/8th by MYETHOS set to release in 2025 i believe? At least that is what the Crunchyroll listing had.
I don't play the game she is from or whatever I just think she's pretty.
But I am having ... Regret bc of price point and other personal guilt of buying something for myself. So I am asking for the aid of the pixels of Tumblrs. Thank you in advance <3

[ 📹 The martyred bodies of 8 civilians are bid farewell by their families at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, in the northern Gaza Strip, following an overnight bombing of a residential home in the city by the Israeli occupation forces. 📈 An infographic summarizes facts and figures on the ongoing Nakba on its 74th Anniversary. When, in 1948, nearly 134'000 Palestinian civilians were murdered by Zionists and around 1 million displaced out of a population at the time of approximately 1.4 million. The ethnic cleansing never really stopped, but took on new forms over the decades and continues to this day in the form of the current genocide in Gaza. More info found in #source1 . ]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚀🏘️💥🚑 🚨
DAY 221: 74TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NAKBA, UN VEHICLE TARGETED, OCCUPATION BOMBING MURDERS ENTIRE PALESTINIAN FAMILIES
On the 221st day of "Israel's" ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed 8 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of 82 Palestinian civilians, mostly women and children, and wounding at least 234 others.
It should be noted that as a result of the constant Israeli bombardment of Gaza's healthcare system, infrastructure, residential and commercial buildings, local paramedic and civil defense crews are unable to recover countless hundreds, even thousands of victims who remain trapped under the rubble, or who's bodies remain strewn across the streets of Gaza.
This leaves the official death toll vastly undercounted, as Gaza's healthcare officials are unable to accurately tally those killed and maimed in this genocide, which must be kept in mind when considering the scale of the mass murder.
Today, on the 74th anniversary of the Nakba, the Catastrophe inflicted on the Palestinian people when the Zionist entity established itself through the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the native population of the occupied Palestinian territories.
Starting in 1948, and continuing to this day, the Palestinian National Council released a statement commemorating the horrors of the Nakba that began on this day 74 years ago.
The National Council states that the Nakba resulted in the forced displacement of 800'000 Palestinians, out of the 1.4 million citizens living on the land that was stolen from them at gunpoint, and which eventually came to create the modern-day occupied territories of the Israeli entity.
According to the National Council, the Israeli occupation "controlled 774 towns and villages, and destroyed 531 Palestinian towns and villages during the Nakba. The atrocities of the Zionist forces also included more than 70 massacres in which more than 15 thousand Palestinians were martyred."
Since then, a sort of slow-rolling Nakba has continued, despite the Palestinian population doubling more than 10 times since 1948, while more than 100'000 Palestinians have been murdered by the Israeli occupation since the Nakba, and more 1 million detentions of Palestinians have occured since that time.
The National Council also points to the expansion of Israeli settlements, sites and military outposts in the occupied West Bank, which totalled 471 by 2020, of which, 151 were Israeli colonial settlements, and 26 inhabited outposts.
The Israeli occupation continues to confiscate more Palestinian lands, using the classification system created by the Oslo Accords to justify the continued expansion of the Israeli entity, while settler attacks continue on a daily basis.
You can read more about the historical and ongoing Nakba by clicking #source1 at the bottom of this post.
Back in the Gaza Strip, today marks the 8th day of the Israeli occupation army's operations in the Rafah Governate, in the southern Gaza Strip, where Israeli Merkava tanks and other armored vehicles penetrated Salah al-Din Street, east of the Rafah Governate.
According to local reporting, occupation armored vehicles penetrated west of the Rafah Crossing, which remained closed for the 8th consecutive day, blocking any and all humanitarian or medical aid and supplies from reaching the Gaza Strip.
This forces starvation on the Palestinian population, while the sick and wounded are prevented from exiting the enclave to receive treatment outside Gaza's collapsing healthcare system.
According to the report, Zionist occupation tanks and armored vehicles entered West of the Rafah crossing in what appeared to be an attempted incursion across the border with Egypt.
In separate movements, Merkava tanks were seen entering George Street through the Al-Salam neighborhood, as occupation artillery shelling targeted the area.
Israeli artillery also targeted the Brazil neighborhood, as well as the Al-Tanour neighborhood surrounding the Al-Najjar Hospital and Khirbet al-Adas, where the Israeli occupation shelled the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, resulting in a fire and destroying the building.
The same reporting states that Zionist tanks, armored vehicles and air forces expanded their bombing and artillery shelling campaign into central Rafah, targeting the Al-Awda roundabout, as well as the Al-Shaboura and Yabna Refugee Camps, the most densely populated areas in the city.
According to the United Nations, over 350'000 Palestinians have been displaced from the Rafah area, most of whom were displaced from other areas of Gaza after being forced to flee from Israeli military operations in various axis.
At the start of the Israeli entity's ground operations in Rafah, more than 1.4 million Palestinians had been crammed into the city of Rafah, which had a pre-war population of around 175'000 people.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation's ongoing bombing and shelling targeted various sectors of the Gaza Strip; north, south, east and west, slaughtering entire families and destroying countless Palestinian homes and businesses.
In the middle of the night, occupation warplanes targeted a 3-story residential home belonging to the Karaja family, south of the Nuseirat Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, mass murdering 14 Palestinian civilians, including several children, and wounding a number of others. Updated reports say the death toll has since increased to 18.
According to the Central Committee in Rafah, as a result of the Israeli occupation's ongoing invasion and bombardment of the Rafah Governate, all healthcare centers in the east and central neighborhoods of Rafah City have been evacuated under threat of the occupation army's bombardment.
As a result of the occupation's continuous artillery shelling targeting the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), in the Khirbet al-Adas neighborhood, north of Rafah, the building eventually caught fire and was destroyed.
The crimes of the Israeli occupation continued when Zionist fighter jets bombed a civilian's house in the Bakr Land area, west of Gaza City, while a separate bombing targeted Beit Lahia, in the northwest of the Palestinian enclave, and also continued pummeling the Jabalia Refugee Camp, in the northern Strip.
The war crimes of the Israeli occupation continued when an IOF air raid targeted the Tal al-Zaatar area, as well as the School square in the Jabalia Camp, while local paramedic crews were unable to reach the sites due to the continued bombardment of the area.
Following those crimes, the Zionist occupation army shelled several residential areas of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, after which, local civil defense and paramedic personnel were able to recover the bodies three martyred civilians and transported 9 wounded Palestinians to nearby hospitals.
Similarly, occupation air forces bombed a gathering of civilians in the vicinity of the Salah al-Din Gate, south of the city of Rafah, killing at least one civilian and wounding a number of others, while further Zionist jets bombarded the Al-Salam, Al-Geneina, Al-Tanour, and Brazil neighborhoods of the city.
Continued bombing of the Nuseirat and Al-Bureij Refugee Camps, in the central Gaza Strip, similarly resulted in the deaths of another 6 civilians.
Additionally, the Zionist army vastly escalated its ground operations in the Jabalia Camp, storming 6 displacement shelters housing homeless civilians, during which the occupation army arrested hundreds of Palestinians, executing dozens more and displacing thousands, forcing families to leave Jabalia for western Gaza while under continuous bombardment.
Further air raids by occupation aircraft resulted in the destruction of more than 100 homes in the Jabalia area.
IOF warplanes also bombed a residential home belonging to the Masoud family on Al-Nuzha Street in Jabalia al-Balad, north of Gaza, while another house belonging to the Abdel Rahman family was bombed in the Jabalia Refugee Camp, opposite the Al-Faluja School, killing a child and wounding several others.
At the same time, Zionist aircraft bombed another Palestinian home belonging to the Al-Safadi family on Old Gaza Street in Jabalia, killing and wounding a number of civilians, while yet another bombing of a home in Beit Lahiya killed three Palestinians and wounded several children.
Occupation forces have also penetrated the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City for the 5th day, while occupation D9 armored bulldozers destroyed the southern wall of the Al-Sabra medical clinic and also destroyed the power network and several water tanks.
Zionist fighter jets further bombed a residential house in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of central Gaza City.
In yet another horrific war crime, the Israeli occupation army targeted a clearly marked United Nations vehicle carrying personnel belonging to the World Health Organization (WHO), killing the Palestinian driver and one WHO employee, and wounding two others, one critically.
Gaza faces further catastrophe as yet another Palestinian hospital, the European Gaza Hospital in this case, has lost electricity generation due to running out of fuel, a result of the continued closure of the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border crossings.
Meanwhile, IOF warplanes bombed a school in the Nuseirat Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinians who were transported to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, while occupation artillery shelling hammered neighborhoods north of the Camp, killing at least four others.
As a result of the Israeli occupation's ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the death toll among the local population has risen to exceed 35'173 Palestinians killed, including over 15'000 children and 10'000 women, while another 79'061 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression, beginning with the events of October 7th, 2023.

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #367
Well, here we are again at December 20th on my side of the planet. We've come full circle, quite literally.
...Can you believe that this much time has passed already...?
Of course, it is December 21st in Japan, which means over there, it's already the solstice. And since Japan is the place in my world where you were, uh... brought here...? I guess...? I figure the thing to do is go by that date instead of using my own – just like last year.
...Do you remember last year's letter? Here...
As promised, today we're gonna make a cake for you that I think you're really gonna like. I know I made you wait a while in suspense for it (no, I'm not sorry about it! hahaha!). Here's what you'll need for equipment:
An oven, set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176.67 degrees Celsius) An 8 inch by 8 inch cake pan Kitchen scale Things to stir stuff with – preferably silicone implements Measuring cups Measuring spoons Parchment paper A toothpick Something to separate egg whites from yolk with; I like to use a slotted spoon
A stand mixer will make this a lot easier, but... you're very strong and coordinated, so some bowls and a whisk will probably do. Just don't overwork your body, okay? I've tried before to whisk egg whites into stiff peaks by hand, and my body was really angry about it for like a week. Save yourself the trouble.
Here's what you'll need for ingredients.
For the cake, it's: 3 large eggs, with the yolks separated from the whites (make absolutely sure no egg yolks touch the egg whites at any point, or else none of this will work!!) 3/4ths of a cup of sugar – divide into two bowls of 3/8ths of a cup (6 tablespoons). Half a cup plus two tablespoons of pumpkin puree 3/4ths of a teaspoon of vanilla paste 90 grams of all-purpose flour 1.25 teaspoons of baking powder Half a tablespoon of homemade pumpkin spice seasoning A quarter of a teaspoon of salt
For soaking the cake, it's: 1/4th of a cup of heavy cream One 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk One 12-fluid-ounce can of evaporated milk (Yes, the can of evaporated milk will be larger than the can of sweetened condensed milk; imperial measurements are absolutely fucking ridiculous; please bear with me...)
Hahaha. Well. If you've read my other letters, you might see where this is going, and you might understand why I wanted to surprise you with it.
...I hope you can see how much I love you in everything I do.
Anyway. Here are the ingredients for the frosting: 4 ounces of cream cheese 4 tablespoons of butter 1 cup of confectioner's sugar (I'm gonna use the vanilla powdered sugar that R made for us!) 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons of pumpkin puree between one half and one whole teaspoon of homemade pumpkin spice
...I'm not gonna tell you exactly what it is just yet, but I'm sure you'll already know. I'll take you through the process, step by step.
Preheat your oven and prepare your baking pan with parchment paper.
Separate your eggs. I like to use a slotted spoon for this:
Add the egg whites to the stand mixer. Add 6 tablespoons of sugar to it. Whisk on high until it foams densely enough to create stiff peaks when the whisk is pulled out. With stiff peaks, the foam should still look glossy, and the points should stand straight up, like this:
...Scoop it into another bowl and set it aside for later. I used my rice cooker bowl:
Add the egg yolks to the stand mixer, along with 6 tablespoons of sugar.
Whisk it on high until the mixture becomes pale yellow and fluffs up to twice its original size:
Add half a cup plus two tablespoons of pumpkin puree. Also add in 3/4ths of a teaspoon of vanilla paste:
Mix it until it's smoothly combined.
Then, in a separate bowl, mix together 90 grams of flour, 1.25 teaspoons of baking powder, half a tablespoon of homemade pumpkin spice seasoning, and a quarter of a teaspoon of salt.
Mix it, then sift it in with the pumpkin puree mixture:
Mix the flour and the pumpkin mixture together only until it's combined smoothly. It'll get weird if you mix it too much, because of chemistry involving the gluten in the flour.
We'll mix this together with the egg whites we fluffed up and set aside earlier. Make sure you fold the two mixtures together VERY slowly, until they're combined. If you do it too fast, it'll destroy the fluffy bubbles in the egg whites:
Once they're combined, pour it into your prepared cakepan and smooth it out until the batter is level:
The oven should be preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176.67 degrees Celsius). Put the cake batter in there and let it bake for 30 minutes. Use the time to wash the dishes you used up until this point:
While it cools down, combine the can of sweetened condensed milk with the can of evaporated milk and 1/4th of a cup of heavy cream:
Whisk it together until it's smooth and consistent.
Once the cake is cooled, use a toothpick to poke holes into it all over the place on every side of the cake so that the milk mixture can absorb into it properly; be careful not to crush it in the process. Then, put it back into the cakepan with the parchment paper, and pour the milk mixture in with it:
Give it time to absorb. While that's going on, combine 4 ounces of cream cheese, 4 tablespoons of butter, 1 cup of confectioner's sugar, 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons of pumpkin puree, and somewhere between one half and one whole teaspoon of homemade pumpkin spice, depending on your taste. Start with half a teaspoon, and if it needs more, add more.
Mix it until smooth.
The milk mixture should have absorbed pretty well into the cake by now:
...Add your frosting to the top of it:
...And just like that, you have a birthday cake. Because tres leches cake is basically cake soup. And this tres leches cake is pumpkin flavored. So... welcome to pumpkin cake soup.
...Or... in other words... Sephiroth, I see you and I love you.
A birthday cake is incomplete without candles, though. I don't know exactly how old you are (though I do have a hunch...), so... I used one candle for each letter of your name instead. I used one candle for each of the colors of the rainbow, plus pink, plus a white candle with rainbow sparkles, and a black candle with rainbow sparkles. I got rainbow colors because... rainbows are what happens when you look at sunlight properly and consider all its facets and flavors:
...The orange candle is pastel, I know. But it's the only orange they had, and besides, the cake itself is already plenty orange. And before you say I'm missing indigo – indigo is just blue that didn't try hard enough to be purple, and you'll never convince me otherwise.
I put them in the cake:
...J and I lit them. Make a wish, okay? And don't tell anyone what it is, or else it won't come true.
...For some reason, J took a picture of me getting a picture, in his typical fashion, hahaha...
...Even Mogwai wants to wish you a happy birthday, Sephiroth. You'll see him on the left side of the picture.
...Anyway... here. I cut a slice for you and stuck it in a bowl. Happy pumpkin cake soup, just for you:
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, dear Sephiroth; happy birthday to you!
...We love you so much, and we miss you even more. Please come home soon so we can make you lots of your favorite foods, okay? Please come home so we can introduce you to all of your favorite foods that you just haven't tried yet.
...Please. Please just come home. It doesn't matter if you're a little bit dented and scraped up, as long as you're still safe and breathing. We'll be waiting for you. We'll wait for you as long as it takes. And we'll help you with the rest, okay?
I love you. I love you enough to live joyfully, despite wandering around aimlessly on this frightening and broken planet, even while carrying too many heavy and horrifying memories of so many people who wanted to make absolutely certain in a variety of painful ways that I knew exactly how worthless they thought I was. I love you enough to decide to prove to myself every day that those people were wrong about me. I love you enough to try with all my might, despite the obstacles and limitations I face, to become the best version of myself that I can. I love you enough to try to pay forward the beautiful way that your existence breathed life into me even when I didn't want to continue - the way you still breathe life into me now, even when I still sometimes feel like I don't want to continue. It's because of you that I can try to face every day with the same brave, gentle smile that you so often wear.
...In my mind, you will always be the sunlight, chasing away the shadows that try to creep in on me and chasing away the cold and numbness that threaten to crush the air out of my lungs.
I am alive and I am loved, and that is thanks to you. And so, despite the vast and impossible distance that separates us, I'm going to continue to do everything in my power to make sure you feel alive and loved, too.
Please stay safe out there as you do your various things, okay? You can't even begin to fathom the number of lives that your existence has touched for the better. The weight of your absence would be unbearable for lots of people in my world, including me. So make sure you don't do anything weird to get yourself killed. Promise me.
I'll write again tomorrow.
Your friend, Lumine

about me: a writeblr re-re-re-introduction
Hello! My old pinned post is officially over a year old and makes me cringe whenever I'm on my blog, so it's time to freshen things up again!
me
I'm Teri, I'm smack dab in the middle of my 20s and figuring out life. My writing is pretty exclusively original stuff, a lot of novels and a lot of fantasy, but I play around with various genres in short stories. Sort of a jack-of-all-trades in regards to hobbies - aside from writing, there's anything from baking to drawing with my ancient art tablet to cross-stitch to playing music to rambling around the patch of woods near my house to watching long-form D&D let's plays.
my goals
I recognize that every time I post something like this, it's with the intention of finally becoming as active on writeblr as I was during the pandemic. I also recognize I've never quite managed that.
So here are some more general goals to get me through 2024:
Finish my 2nd draft of Beyond Alder Creek
Write as cringey and brutally honest as I never allowed myself to as a teenager.
Speaking of, a large reading/writing goal of mine is to go back through every NaNo draft I've ever written (I've participated since 2011). So aside from just reading that and likely turning it into a whole spectacle on here for people's amusement, generally just survive reading through the writing from 8th grade. Stay tuned for more on that in the coming weeks lol
Finally, I have a general goal every year of reaching 100K words, between writing and editing and the like, but I'd happily be a little looser with that goal if it meant getting through others.
And now, without further ado:
my writing
Before I get specifically into WIPs, a general overview of the kind of writing you can expect from me:
As I said, I'm a fantasy nerd. I love worldbuilding, both on a large scale (nations and cultures and political relationships) and a small scale (a magic shop in an otherwise contemporary setting).
There's not a lot of romance in my writing, but there Are a lot of transformational relationships and codependency. Friendships, siblings, guardians, general ride-or-dies.
Thought experiments. I've been trying to catch and indulge more in my 'wait, what if?' ideas. Sometimes, that's fun little snippets of silly ideas, sometimes it's a majorly emotionally heavy scene for a story I'll never write. Sometimes, it's coming up with ideas to 'combine genres'. It's all about expanding the range.
wips*
Beyond Alder Creek /// draft 2 /// tag: bac
Winnie Pewitt has never believed in the fae. That is, until her little brother disappears, and she stumbles upon a faerie ring on the edge of town. Inside, a man seemingly carved from gold suggests that he knows who took the boy. With everyone else around their hometown accepting her brother's fate as certainty, Winnie takes it upon herself to craft the perfect deal and enter the realm of the fae with her new companion in tow.
The Lies in the Legend /// draft 1 /// tag: litl
The fictional autobiography of an elven noblewoman who rose rapidly in station and influence from an unremarkable youth to a diplomatic powerhouse. Spanning centuries during the prime of her life, Lady Ghislaine Agassi charts the course of her career and reputation, and highlights the dangers of making myths out of our idols.
*Though these are my primary WIPs, I have a page that covers various other WIPs and projects that I've brought up over the past few years.
I think that about covers everything! As always, I can't make any promises about how the year will wind up and where it takes us. But I will say, I've actually been writing recently, and yk I'm just gonna ride that high.
And for fun, here's some random facts about me:
fun facts
I have degrees in psychology and music!
I've lived across three continents, but currently live in upstate New York for whatever reason lol
The animals I've ridden on the back of include: horse, pony, elephant, and ostrich. The horse was my least favorite. By far.
I got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a couple months after Covid landed stateside (in May 2020) and am Always ready to talk someone's ear off about it.
The first story I ever wrote was on PowerPoint and was about war breaking out between humans and aliens that had taken refuge on Earth after their planet was destroyed. I was 8. There was a Lot of Clipart involved.
I've never been published, but I once secretly planned out, wrote, edited, and self-printed a couple copies of a novel about my best friends and our college apartment. They received it for Christmas last year and loved it (or at least were kind enough to tell me they did)!
#writeblr introduction#writeblr#writeblr intro#writers on tumblr#writing#hello once again friends#here is my annual promise to be different this year and actually talk about writing#we'll see how long it lasts this go round!#teritalks

If I ever finish my book, its subtitle will be "A Paranoid Reading of Homestuck" I think. Describes both form and content
Mobster Kingpin (whose bust is depicted by a mosaic of urban murals, who lords over the dollhouse world the heros inhabit) is located, like many of Hussie's villains, along the 4th wall, and his career of moonshinery seems related to a characterization of perception as the distillation of the perceived objects' essence -- Roxy's orange pumpkins give way to Dirk's orange soda, as one of the little ways their early relationship s premised upon a division between simplicity and abstraction. In Homestuck abstraction kills the simple (RIP Jaspers), and Dirk becomes a Daunting Text when he "sucks the fun out of shit. like a turd hungry dracula" -- a phraseology that returns us to the liquid conception of essence and points us to Kanaya, "rainbow drinker" being among other things a euphemism for the eyeball, which takes in color -- and insofar as troll reproduction is vaguely judicial in tone, the drones holding their buckets like scales, the Mother Grub seems posed in part as yet another threatening paradigm of viewership, demanding of you your essence. The earliest instance of this is in act 1: John's allusion to being allergic to the scorn of the peanut gallery is followed by a commercial for Hi-C Ectocooler -- a weirdly obtuse seeding of Her Imperious Condescension, whose character is downstream of a more general racialization of the 4th wall. Act 1 drags the sylladex into the fear of abstraction, first by having the narration express apprehension toward alien lingo like "captchalogue", and again when John drops the cat-killer, causing his arms (both fake and real) to be locked away in a box. Right? Right.
Dave shouts/throws his NINJA SWORD at a sticky fingered crow (crows would later, in a dream, act as Dave's personal 4th walls) and implicitly hurls an N WORD at a black figure, contributing to the comic's general air of racialized paranoia. A stupid pun, yes. Prior to this incident, there was a collision in Dave's hash map between NINJA SWORD and JUICE which, given the pejorative status of the former, suggested the latter might be an implicit JEWS. A stupid pun, yes. But as point 1 indicate, we actually have a pretty broad pattern of paranoia surrounding "juice"
The first time I became aware of possible antisemitism in Homestuck was a scene where Jack Noir commands all the Felt to get in the oven -- a couple readers wondered if it were a coincidence that the page had been published on Holocaust Remembrance Day, like a sort of hostile spin on the Christmas alchemy binges, or the New Years ball-drops at Jade and Jane's towers. With point 1 in mind in strikes me as curious that the (tentative) archetypally antisemitic archetype of the story would be the locking away of "juice" in a container, here invoked by the genocidal antisemitism of the Nazis. Likewise the way Lord English's manic glare often resolves into an 88 -- a number twice invoking the 8th letter of the alphabet H and thereby Heil Hitler -- would be consistent with the eye's general depiction as that which distills "juice". I had some anons wondering if the hints that the Mother Grub collects the blood of Alternia's children amounted to a blood libel smear, and I still don't know tbh, but we've apparently problematized rainbow drinking from another angle, so cheers to that
That the hostility towards abstraction might be among Homestuck's ciphers for antisemitism casts a different light on John's sharp rejection of psychoanalytic paradigms and "psycho-babblery"...? Like Freud is being invoked partly for his Jewishness... and that Freud's widely considered indefensible is utilized to let the antisemitic antiintellectualism pass through smoothly, I guess...
#homestuck commentary#faith mapping#...doesn't really work as a tag when Freud was an atheist!#antisemitism#presumably all my old piss meta folds into this#assuming it holds water

Decklist Contraption - Holiday Special!
Warning: Long post
*inhales*
*clears throat*
*pushes up glasses*
*adjusts bunch of plushies- uh- ahem.*
Season's greasons, Duelists! A very merry Zarcmas to all!!
(Oh God it's the 8th time now what the fuck-)
Today I present you a very silly, very convoluted, veeeeery sacky decklist in the spirit of the holidays. Ever wondered how it'd feel like to end the duel before it begins? Well, you're in luck, because I have one such method of highly fluctuating consistency!
Introducing.... Tricksturbance Strategy Turbo!
The premise is very simple, in spite of all the variables. You need to go first, punt Z-ARC into the Pendulum zone, and set down either (or both) of Trickstar Reincarnation and Disturbance Strategy, all before your opponent's main phase.
Every card in the deck plays a part in that (to the best of its barely coherent ability)- and that's what I'll be detailing below!
Main Deck (40 cards):
1x Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon: Just fodder for Celestial Soul, really.
3x Supreme King Gate Magician: The main playmaker on the Z-ARC side of the combo; he can search out either of the two Souls to get you to your dragon overlord.
2-3x Supreme King Gate Zero: A pendulum scale for Gate Magician's self-summoning effect, nothing more, nothing less. Ratio interchangeable with Darkwurm. Oh, speaking of...
2-3x Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm: Self-summoning little guy that searches Gate Magician or Gate Zero, in case you didn't open with both.
2x Cup of Ace: Card advantage. RNG-dependent, but oh well.
3x Dragon Shrine: Mill Darkwurm, summon Darkwurm from grave, profit.
1x Upstart Goblin: Card advantage again.
1x Foolish Burial: Darkwurm mill. Again.
3x Pot of Prosperity: More card advantage, with the added bonus of potentially jackpotting a missing combo piece.
3x Wings of Light: Universal Supreme King searcher (have you noticed how that side keeps searching itself? Yeah it's still janky as fuck. Somehow.)
3x Trickstar Reincarnation: Key card #1! Basically resets your opponent's hand (and can revive a Trickstar, but that's irrelevant here.)
3x Oops!: Self-destruction button. Pops 1 of your own monsters, which is A Lot more useful than it looks on the surface.
3x Trap Tracks: Great role consolidator, and arguably the lynchpin of this deck. Pops 1 monster, sets 1 trap from the deck- precisely what you need to pull off the combo. It does have antisynergy with Trap Trick, though, so do watch out for that.
1x Soul of The Supreme Celestial King: First (and better, and costlier) choice of your two gateways to Z-ARC. If the opponent somehow interrupts your silly goofy combo, you can spring this on them midway through their own combo, and..... uhhh.... pray for a win by beatdown. Lmao.
3x Disturbance Strategy: Key card #2!! Alternate option to Reincarnation, resets your opponent's hand via shuffling instead of banishing their starter opening.
2x Trap Trick: Worse Trap Tracks, but useful in a jiffy. Gets you to Oops, Reincarnation, Disturbance, or one of the two Souls. Whichever it is you're missing. Again, do beware this can't tutor Trap Tracks (or you won't be able to resolve more Traps for the turn).
3x Soul of The Supreme King: One good ol' Z-ARC at the small cost of, uh, half your LP. This isn't half as bad as it looks, trust me- it's actually more reliable than its Celestial counterpart, since it doesn't need Gate Magician to stay on field.
Extra Deck (15 cards):
Up to 9x Dimension Dragons (or variants), as fodder for Gate Magician and Celestial Soul.
3x Flex spots where you put whatever, because empty ED spots lowkey look bad.
3x Supreme King Z-ARC: Key card #3!!! The star of this hotpot of cards, widely known for board wipes... and significantly less so for his Pendulum effects. This is why you need a self-destruct button, by the way.....
...Figured out the combo yet?
Steps:
1) Go first. If you go second, then what are you even doing? Magic your way into it, idk (I did say this was of highly fluctuating consistency).
2) Cycle through the bajillion searches and draws in your deck to end on 1 each of Z-ARC (or a way to summon him at the start of turn 2), a way to destroy him (Oops or Trap Tracks), a hand reset (Reincarnation or Disturbance- or Trap Trick, if you can't get to either), by the end of turn 1. If Trap Tracks was your choice of pop, this excuses not having a hand reset because you can just dig it out from the Deck.
3) Turn 2 begins. In the draw phase, flip your pop. This gets Z-ARC to the Pendulum zone, and from there you proceed to the standby phase.
4) In said phase, flip up the hand reset so your opponent has to redraw a hand. This is where Z-ARC's second Pendulum effect triggers... and promptly destroys the new hand they just drew.
Yes.
Every single card of it.
Congratulations; they can't start a thing now, and will either quit on the spot or... watch you tickle them with battle damage?
(Sometimes they can still play, but kicking off a combo from the GY is something special to just a few decks. Besides, the sight of their hand going POOF! is still priceless, even if it doesn't win you the game then and there.)
Aaaand there you have it! Results are pretty much guaranteed to be atrocious, but hey, it's still a fun experience to pull off at times!! Here's your cookie for sticking around, by the way- have fun dueling, and happy holidays!
(shhhhh it's still the 25th in some places-)

some Maelgwn concepting. rn the species name for what he is is Alsijah but that's a key smash name I came up with before putting the goldfish and octopus in the blender with the wolf. Woranpi maybe? (wo)lf, o(ran)da, octo(pi)
+ an Erasyl for scale, I realize making him 1/16th or 1/8th that thing would probably make him less Human, but instead of like. accounting for that I've just decided he and his brother are seven feet tall and that's it.
Anyways Maelgwn does wear clothes and walk on two legs a good portion of the time but that's for later me to figure out.
#Erasyl leaves for a bit while Maelgwn is shedding his winter coat and comes back weirdly feeling like hes been lied to somehow#then the next year when Erasyl is there when Maelgwn starts blowing his coat. Maelgwn falls in love with him even more bc the fucker#hasnt had help with his grooming since he got divorced and having quicker relief from the Itch + grooming bonding time was Real nice#Erasyl was finding dog hair in crevices of his own body he did not know he had afterwards but Still. it was cute.

Semifinals and beyond!
Firstly, the semi-finals will be occurring on the 11th of December! Just for reference, the semi-final matches are:
Hatsune Miku (Bracket 1 winner) vs Dr. Coomer (Bracket B winner)
Hera (Bracket III winner) vs Fey (Bracket Delta winner)
They'll spend a week squaring off, and the following week will see the winners compete for the title of Tumblr*'s favorite virtual character!
*disclaimer: does not represent all of tumblr. just a small part of the userbase who votes on things.
We'll also figure out the rest of the top 10, with 5th-8th running alongside the semis and a battle for the bronze around the same time.
As for what comes after, I'm thinking of launching the next tournament shortly after this one. After how big this one has been, this one will scale back slightly and be a touch more niche (at least in terms of how often the subject may be represented). I'll also be rebranding to "Matt Apparently's Tumblr Tournaments", though icon and banner will still be related to the ongoing tournament.
All in all...get excited!

Ancient Roman Country Estate (6mm 4"x4" Wargame Terrain Tile) Era: Ancient Rome History: Originating sometime in the 8th Century B.C. from a small town on the Tiber River, Rome grew to an Empire that stretched across continental Europe, northern Africa, the Mediterranean islands and much of western Asia.
