~The Dance~

Leviathan stands from their throne. Behind them servants move Leviathan’s throne and the waterfall behind it splits open revealing grand doors wide enough to fit a crowd through.

“Congratulations to the auction winners and thank you to those who donated, Emily the seraphim for the sackbut that you won back so… valiantly, and Asmodeus for your best dancer! Payment will be accepted through the clerk of the court and then the first dance will commence! Please, enjoy the open bar and hors d’oeuvres, they’re special treats sent in from Gluttony and Wrath. May tonight bring you everything you want and nothing you deserve!”

Leviathan spins, his dress twirling behind him as he makes his way through the split falls and enters through doors as they open, as if parting solely for him.

On the other side of the threshold is the ballroom. A simple platform is set with a chair where the first dance will commence, though few notice. Many looking to the ceiling, an ocean in the sky filled with bioluminescence swirling above the crowd.

If you are looking to adopt an animal, I think you would be interested in looking at a no-kill animal shelter.

They do wonders and take care of their animals better than most places I have gotten the chance to visit. They offer helpful service, have a great selection of food that is healthy for the animals to have, and a lot of their work is revolved around charity.

Paige and Dare stare in shock as Izakk takes off his helmet. He takes a deep sigh and looks at them. "...I'm Guard Dog." He says hesitantly, immediately met by a slap to the face from Paige.

"Guard Dog!? Guard Dog!? The psycho who works with Hood!? The guy who's worse than Hood!?" She yells.

"Izakk what the hell? How could you be him? How could you be this?" Dare asks, looking afraid of him.

Izakk shakes his head and scribbles over the drawing. There's no point, they stopped being his friends a long time ago. He hadn't spoken to them for a year when he got here.

They had never had a problem with Red Hood or Guard Dog before. Why was it different when they learned it was him? Why does he always make everything worse?

The haunted boat rides

They Clear their throat, standing tall with a sly smirk.

Ah, what a magnificent evening this has been. So many faces, so much laughter—so much attention… But I suppose all things must come to an end, don’t they? The grand spectacle, the celebrations, the violence, the fleeting moments where everyone is so… pleased with themselves.

But as the night winds down, I can’t help but notice something. You see, while you all celebrate and revel in your little triumphs, I stand here, an observer, watching as the glow of your happiness fades. Isn’t it curious? How quickly the joy of one person can overshadow the joy of another, how easily someone else can steal the limelight. It makes one wonder… Why was I not in the center of it all?

Ah, don’t look so surprised. Of course, we all know the truth, don’t we? The envy lurking in the deepest parts of us, always comparing, always wanting a little bit more, always wishing for just a taste of what others have. It’s a beautiful thing, really—this feast of emotions. You laugh, you dance, but deep down, we’re all just chasing after what the others seem to possess.

But fear not, dear friends. The night may be ending, but envy never rests. As you leave this place, just remember… there will always be someone else—someone else with a little more joy, a little more power, a little more of the things you crave. And, perhaps, just perhaps, you’ll find that your little moments of happiness don’t quite satisfy as much as you thought.
