ig it goes without saying that i really liked ryuuto's route♥ ik i've been screaming throughout it all BUT there's one particular thing that made me appreciate it so much more, simpery aside-

Im really glad you noticed that! I didn't want it to too heavily focused on Yui "falling in love and fixing Ryuuto", especially not over one single route >< Instead, it works so much nicer for him imo if his character development comes from within moreso. The shift between being solely focused on Cordelia in his Dark, then his transition into getting to know Yui on a deeper level that really challenges all he knows with Cordelia in Maniac, and his internal decisions between whether he wants a repeat of his past where he feels comfortable, or a fresh albeit scary start with Yui in Ecstasy is HUGE 😩😭

@ anon with the Cordy suggestions, I guess I changed my mind last night? I couldn't sleep and randomly ended up watch Sabaody episodes and I mean Cordelia works as a waitress in Sabaody, so why not making her work at Shakky's bar? So Shakky could be the one that takes her in and raises her. This would also include Rayleigh. Just imagine if Dark King Rayleigh trained her - that would make her able to join any pirate crew if she wanted to. And I think Cordelia and Shakky would have a great dynamic.

At the very least Cordelia would be present in Sabaody before and after the timeskip and other times when Shakky and/or Rayleigh show up in the story. She would know Boa Hancock and the Kuja Tribe since Shakky is a former Kuja Empress and former captain of the Kuja Pirates.

Still not sure which pirate crew she will join (technically she could join the Kuja Pirates, at least at the beginning?) but at some point after the timeskip, she will find out who her father is. Perhaps she will be associated with Cross Guild in the end.

Whether Smoker will be part of Cordelia's story remains to be seen. He will be in OPLA S2 for sure, so let's wait if that inspires me.^^

Mmmmh I was kinda stuck on the idea of Cordelia being (sort of) Smoker's sister (see: this post) and didn't know if this really is the solution but now that I've seen his live action casting choice I'm starting to get into the idea again. I still have no idea how to write Smoker tbh (haven't given it a try so far) but I think once OPLA season 2 airs, that might help a lot. So for now I'm sticking with that idea.
