I’m not defecting a third time.” Sergei had laughed softly, and reached for her hand. “I haven’t slept since yesterday morning,” he’d confessed with an incredulous chuckle, his eyes closing of their own volition. Christ, were they too old for these shenanigans. It had been then, in the quiet of a consulate board room, that the recent events had finally dawned on her with clarity. He had made this happen. She would never have to return to the USSR, or go to federal prison, thanks to him. She had done the same for him, years before. She would do so again. A tsunami of gratitude has washed over her, filling her eyes with unshed tears. She had squeezed his hand. Sergei had turned to her, his eyes fluttering open. “Thank you,” she had whispered against his lips, before kissing him as tenderly as she knew how.

these people just wanted to get food for their families, something as basic as flour, one of the things that the very core of humanity is built on, and israel used it as a trap to murder them in cold blood

evil is not enough of a word. there is not a word to describe what they are doing to palestine. they are bleeding her out, they are torturing her and crushing her and hoping that nothing is left to remember her by when they are done. how can anyone stand and watch what is being done with indifference? how can you watch this level of human suffering, this crime against life and feel nothing, do nothing
