The head of the baby bursts into my waiting palm. My chest is beating a mile a minute seeing your throbbing vagina bulging with our child's waiting shoulders. Your taut stomach heaves fluidly, free from a contraction for now.

My phone buzzes rapidly in my pocket. With my free hand, I pull it out. Our brother-in-law had already called me three times when I was trying to find you.

"Hey, man where are you guys? You can come in the room, Liz just had the ba-"

"Kelsey's giving birth! Send a nurse or something to the women's bathroom!" I yelled into the phone.

Our brother-in-law babbled for a second before I heard him waving down a nurse. I close the call and turn my full focus back to you. Your belly is starting to tense again and your voice rises in desperation.

"Need em out, oooooh god~"

"I don't know what I'm doing here, honey, you gotta wait till the nurse comes," I support the head with one hand and steady a firm, gentle hand on the bulging shoulders.

[Part 1]

I grasp your shoulders as you’re kneeling between my thighs, carefully holding the head of our child. My belly is taut and solid, wracked with the force of another contraction, and I pant and squirm trying to hold off from bearing down.

“Ngghhh…. Ohhh god….” I groan, fingernails clawing into your strong and sturdy frame. “It’s too much, there’s so much pressure— oh god I can feel it moving!”

The strangest sensation fluttered from within; first the baby kicked and then they turned in the birth canal preparing for their grand entrance.

“Oof— need to- need to move…” my feet planted back on the tiled bathroom floor and I tried to push myself to standing.

“Whoa! Kelsey, what are you doing?” You blurted, panicked trying to keep hold of the head as my body moved.

“I’m not giving b-birth on a toilet….” I grunted, heaving myself to my feet, legs obscenely wide around the baby’s born head.

As the contraction ramped up my strength drastically waned, feeling my knees start to tremble my hands flailed around to find something to hold on to and I gripped the very top of the narrow cubicle walls. I practically hung there, knees dipping slightly in a half squat, hips circling, while my fingers hooked over the sides of the cubicle. It was strange but the position somehow felt right… with gravity and open hips.

“Mmmhhh…. Babe… I don’t think I can hold off from pushing much l-longer—” I gritted. My eyes were closed, blocking out the visuals of where we were, trying instead to tune in to my body.

Your hand affectionately rubbed the inside of my thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. “Breathe through it honey, I’m sure the nurse will be here any second.” Your voice trembled nervously giving away your panic.

Instead of fading away the squeezing of my womb ramped up another level, my body firmly protesting being held in this painful limbo. I growled, the pressure screaming at me to give in. The shoulders of our baby were nestled right there, pressing heavily against my opening and trying to get out.

“Oh no— it’s… it’s happening now… ohhhhhh-baby’s-coming—nghhhhhh—!!!!” My knees buckled, hanging off the sides of the cubicle I sank deeper into the squat bearing down hard.

I am desperately trying to stay focused at work but my mind keeps fantasizing about eating someone out and I try to come up for air but they just grab the back of my head and push me back down.

"You don't need more air, I got some for you down where you belong" they say to me as they rip a bubbly fart with my face so close to their ass. They groan with relief as the smell hits me and I start to choke on the rotten egg stink.

can i confess something else that will absolutely get me stoned in the town square since im dropping my unpopular opinions. I don’t like altean broadsword Lance. i already disliked red paladin Lance. the broadsword was like rubbing salt in the wound. why couldn’t he have his own niche. why was his character development just making him keith. i understand that it was like “he accepts that he doesn’t have to be a leader and excels as a co-leader and you can find happiness that way yada yada yada”. but you could’ve done that without making him keith. also now give him something unique, cool, that falls in line with his sniper bit. i’m not saying just give him another gun, im saying give him something quiet and lethal. like a garotte. yeah i want garotte lance.

It’d been so long since Scout ghosted him randomly, and all out of the blue Scout invites him to his..house? It was shockingly nice, it was almost hard to believe that he owned this place but he supposed that in such a long period of time it was possible for someone to change. He sighed as the amount of time he’d just been standing there sunk in, and he knocked on the door.*

*Scout was just anxiously waiting at the dining table. He was seated in the chair facing the hall towards the front door, making sure he wouldn’t miss the knock of probably the most important visitors he’s expected. His leg visibly bouncing up and down as he bit his lip with worry. What if he didn’t bother reading the letter? What if he never wanted to see him again? What if he hated him? What if-*

Knock knock

*oh shit- oh shit oh shit oh my god. Scout’s head goes faster than his body for once. Staring straight at the door, practically frozen in place. Oh lord oh lord I gotta do this- he quickly rips himself out of the chair, stumbling towards the door. Loud thumping and clear sounds of things falling can be heard from inside, a silent “ah crap!-“ can be heard. Then sudden silence before some muffled shuffling and the door handle turning.*

“….hey”

*a softly panting scout is seen at the door. Looking somehow younger despite knowing years have passed instead of rewound. Long hair, a simple sweater and a pair of slacks, but it was obviously him. His face never changed. He’s just staring at you. A small smile hiding on his face, feeling it isn’t the time to make it into a happy reunion, figuring your feelings weren’t mainly happy in this moment.*

I remember awhile ago an anon over on audio roleplay confessions mentioned how in audio roleplays the audience seems to forget the 'roleplay' aspect of this type of media. As in you're playing a 'role' of a character in whatever series you're listening to and people tend to forget that when said listener character does something they deem as out of character for themselves.

It got me thinking and I've noticed that I really enjoy it when the listener characters have more defining personality traits and a bit of backstory! It's a much more engaging experience to listen to, especially if the listener character has a lot of their own flaws shown in the writing. I've also noticed that in this specific genre of content, a lot of creators are very hesitant to give any negative traits to the listener character other than faint sweetness and a blank slate that the audience can project their own characters on to.

I'm not going to bash anyone who likes this style of writing with what's supposed to be a self insert, but at some point it does get boring when their default actions in every other video falls back onto those same characteristics. I know it can be limiting especially since the listener is basically the y/n of audios and they want to be inclusive. But when creators realize that they don't need to confine themselves creatively with this, it's a much more fun experience for them AND the audience.

A great example of this type of listener character is Dennys from Escaped Audios. What I really liked about her is that she's a bit of a hot mess, an alcoholic, implusive, has lowkey anger issues, the type of girl that could absolutely give you a mean left hook and overall a character that 'says' and does INTERESTING! THINGS!! You don't know much about her but that's where you, the audience, can insert your own details in because you have the bases of her personality shown through out the My Greasefire Life series to use to blossom your own creativity!

Another example of this is Darlin' from Redacted Audios, you can tell right off the bat through the first few episodes what kind of person they are. They're hard headed, stubborn, distant, a fighter who cares heavily for the very few people they trust and love. Not only that, we're given a bit of backstory of WHY they're like this but it's vauge enough so that the audience can still put themselves in the shoes of Darlin'. It suits so well with the story line because they have depth!

A few more honorable mentions I'd like to also add in is Faithful from Good Boy Audios, Casper from YuuriVoice, the villain listener in Fall of Titans from Pebbles ASMR, etc etc. I know it can be difficult to pull this off without someone complaining that it's not immersive, but people are always going to have something to say whether that be negative or positive. Have fun with it and explore those options!
