when you say that Bruce wanted to separate Megamycete from Reder, the thought that immediately came to my mind was.
Readers will be angry because who is this Bruce? He is not even a good father figure, but he wants to separate him from Megamycete, who is the one who supports him no matter what and accompanies him on his journey and also helps him.
(sorry if there are any wrong words, because English is my second language)
That’s because this Bruce Wayne is a shitty person.
Seriously, he’ll tell you a million different reasons why the Megamycete is bad and why you need to let him purge it from your system.
“It’s a parasitic influence on your body!”
“It could take over at any moment!”
“It’s corrupting your ability to think rationally!”
“It’s probably eating away at you as we speak!”
He can go on and on until the cows come home, but at the end of the day, it’s because the Megamycete gives you the power to live away from them and actually stand against them, something Bruce isn’t use to. With the mold, you have no need for them, and he can’t stand that.
And as stated before, he and the Megamycete will actually speak face to face and after their interaction, he vows to find a way to get it out of your body. That way, he and the Bats can drag you back to Gotham.

Just some Octatrio thoughts, about another post
Ok I don't usually do this but this one take about the Octatrio I scrolled past on my dash the other day has invaded my brain like a parasite and latched on and absolutely refuses to let go, so I just need to get it out of my system or it's gonna drive me crazy
I don't remember the OP's name, but if I remember correctly the post was basically about how, apparently(apologies in advance if I got something wrong or misrepresented the OP's words):
People who have soft, fluffy headcanons for Azul, Jade and Floyd are kids who had the jokes the characters were based on, such as:
Jade likes mountains apparently not because he just thinks nature is fascinating but it's supposed to be a joke for mountains being good places to dump bodies
The Leeches are implied to be a literal fish mafia
The Octatrio are dressed like American prohibition-era mobsters
Jade and Floyd want to eat Azul
fly over their heads.
And I just—
The only word I can think of to explain what I feel every time I remember it is 'baffled'. I mean absolutely 0 disrespect in any way, shape or form to the OP, but I am genuinely fascinated by how they could have come to those conclusions.
My first thought was 'no actually I'm pretty sure people get it' And there are people over the age of 18 who have fluffy headcanons about them too, you know?
My second is 'why can't it be both?' Like, why can't Jade genuinely find mountains and nature fascinating while having it on a more meta level also be a small joke about how mountains are good places for dumping bodies?
Why can't Floyd like Takoyaki while also NOT wanting to eat his best friend?
Why can't the Leeches be a mafia family while still having Jade and Floyd, who are literally still teenagers, be multidimensional characters who have priorities and like other things than just 'haha murder'?
Sure, those jokes and influences are there, but they are not the end-all-be-all of the characters? This just feels like a very one-dimensional way of looking at these characters.
And isn't TWST's entire thing that appearances can be deceiving? In a way I feel like Jade's love of mountains being viewed as 'oh he dumps bodies there because he's a scary ocean monster and has thus probably killed people before so of course that's why' is a very surface-level reading and understanding of him as a character— it just sounds like something some random student who has only seen him from afar and doesn't actually know him as a person would think.
And it's a similar thing with the Takoyaki. The surface-level reading would be 'if he likes eating Takoyaki, which has octopus in it, that must mean he wants to eat Azul too! Because Floyd is big and scary and has probably killed people before' To me it also sounds like something Ace or Grim might think before Book 3.
And, while I'm not gonna deny the Tweels have almost certainly murdered (or at least gotten close to it) people before, in a way it just feels kinda...idk, mean-spirited? To say, for example, that Jade can't just have nature be a thing he enjoys for its own merits, that he's not allowed to have that as just a thing he genuinely likes and there has to be some deeper, meta reason for why. Or that Floyd can't just enjoy Takoyaki and probably tease Azul with it but also not actually want to eat him because he likes him and wants him around. To me that kinda feels like sucking all the joy and interesting nuance out of a character, in a way.
And implying that the people who don't ascribe to the same view as you are kids also feels somewhat infantilizing? Like, it just comes off as saying that the people who disagree haven't thought about it hard enough or just aren't smart enough to get it, and I just feel like that's not a great stance to take in any kind of discussion. Quite a flimsy way of trying to discredit the opinions of those who disagree, too.
I am NOT trying to start any kind of 'drama' or 'attack OP' or anything like that; I'm genuinely very confused— I just feel like one of us, either OP or me, is misunderstanding something here

As you've mentioned before, your Hatter isn't actually human, so the question is what exactly are they?
And are they wearing a human disguise/occupying a human (similar to Joker possessing Jay(?) Doe to use as their vessel), or did they create/find their own body to control? I'm so interested in your Mad Hatter!
short answer: the hatter's body is made of sticks and other debris - long answer: sooooooo its complicated. because. part of my thesis with the hatter/the joker/all those other guys is that their origins are supposed to be unexplained on purpose to keep the atmosphere and narrative of the story intact - i don't want to get too scientific with it or else it loses the kind of ambiguously grounded cosmic-horror qualities that i am aiming for - BUT i fucking love specbio and worldbuilding so there is SOME stuff that i legitimately just couldn't keep myself away from. so the gist of it is that the hatter could be considered a "subspecies" of the type of parasitic entity that the joker is; they both feed off of specific subtypes of human reaction but while the joker has to take a human vessel to interact with the world, the hatter's species are mimics - when he arrived on earth he happened to be near a copy of alice in wonderland, which is why his personality and beliefs revolve around it. and as i stated in the beginning his body is actually just made out of, well, basically trash. sticks, pencil sheddings, playing cards, book pages, empty tape rolls, plastics, ribbons, et cetera et cetera. but because of his convoluted looney-tunes denial of his own inhumanity, he doesn't actually know this about himself. if he was damaged (see fig. below) he would try to rationalize it as something being done to him rather than his actual insides being exposed. if he was pressured enough on the subject he would probably have some kind of mental breakdown over it. poor guy
Tumblr media
EDIT: ALMOST FORGOT TO ADD as you can probably tell from the image this was influenced visually by bee and puppycat! i've always loved the colorful robot aesthetics in that show and thought it worked well w/ the hatter

i feel like this will be quite niche, mostly because i'm not sure how many ordem fans are in my sphere but also because it's not about the main cast lol
but below the cut is an osnf fic \o/! many spoilers for that season. it's based on a canon divergent au me and @factorialsotherfandoms came up with and this one in particular involves the helper and the gatekeeper!
also below the cut for anyone who hasn't seen ordem but is curious about the fic is a brief summary of some world-building elements that will help with understanding the fic \o/ but not the plot because that will take too long lol
reblogs appreciated \o/!! hope you guys enjoy
brief worldbuilding stuff: the helper and the gatekeeper are from a town called santo berço which was a seemingly perfect town apart from the fact that the people are brainwashed to some degree into wanting to stay there and there's a parasite (the saint/a god) feeding on some of them. everyone in the town uses their work titles as their names, and they have an alien-ish appearance (Luzidio) but can switch into a human appearance (Ignaro) at will. the crystals mentioned are healing crystals that have the ability to knock people out if ingested. i can't explain buttery butter. blame felps for this creation
--
The Helper stands in front of the mirror, his Ignaro form staring back. Technically he doesn’t need to be in it right now, but he’ll need to get used to it eventually, so… he’s practicing.
The eyes are maybe the strangest bit about it. They feel smaller. The familiar blackness now shrunk down and encased by other colours—brown and white.
He leans closer to the mirror and pokes at his cheek where his markings would be. Maybe if he looks close enough he’ll still be able to see the faint shadow of them—
“Why are you acting like it’s new?” The Gatekeeper says. “You’ve seen this form before.”
The Helper jumps at the sudden appearance of his voice, and spins around to face him. He doesn’t like having people behind him anymore—an alien distrust crawling through his body at even the thought of it.
“I know, I’m just… getting used to it. You know?” He shrugs, and tries to force himself to relax. “I never used to use it much before, but now it’s going to be pretty much constant, right?”
“That’s true.”
Cautiously, the Gatekeeper drifts closer. They don’t have the crystals anymore, and he’s not holding a weapon so it should be fine.
Really, he wishes his brain would stop thinking so hard about it. He’s one of the few people who actually managed to survive and that was because of the Gatekeeper.
It’s just…
It’s hard to put the memory out of his mind of the Gatekeeper approaching him with a knife and wrestling crystals into his mouth.
“It is strange.” The Gatekeeper admits with a small smile as he stops close in front of him. “I only ever saw you like this when we were messing around.”
“And you went on lots of Pilgrimages, right?” The Helper says, knocking their shoulders together gently with a smile that doesn’t quite feel real crossing his face. He doesn’t like it, but no attempts at widening the smile make it feel realer. “So you’re probably dealing fine, huh?”
“Eh…” The Gatekeeper shrugs. “With this, yeah.”
He’s in his Luzidio form now. It’s nice. A tiny bit of familiarity to cling onto.
“What if we lose it?” The Gatekeeper continues, something nervous seeping into his tone.
“What?” The Helper tilts his head, eyebrows furrowing. “What do you mean?”
“This form.” He points to himself. “We only had this because of the Saint’s influence. What if we lose it now?”
“Well, we—“ He cuts himself off as the full implications hit him, a hollow feeling settling into his chest. It’s uncomfortable. He never used to feel this way in Santo Berço, but now it’s almost all he can feel. “We—We get used to it, I guess.”
The Gatekeeper reaches a hand up—slowly, but the Helper can’t help but flinch away a little. All he does, though, is settle it onto his cheek. Doesn’t try to pry his mouth open. Doesn’t try to force the anaesthesia down his throat.
“You should, uh…” The Gatekeeper shifts his thumb to line up with where the Helper’s markings would be. Presses down firmly, but not enough to hurt. “You should get them tattooed.”
“Okay.” This smile feels a little more real. “Would you?”
“Ah, maybe.” He shrugs. “I’m still not… sure how I feel about, uh, all of it.”
“I like them.” The Helper brings a finger up to trace down one before letting it drop to his side again. “I’d miss them.”
“O-Okay.” The Gatekeeper looks away, his cheeks darkening. “Maybe for you, then.”
The Helper frowns. He misses Santo Berço. Misses the simplicity of it. Everything out here just feels like a mess—the selfish desire to keep at least one thing the same, versus the guilt of forcing the Gatekeeper to do something he doesn’t particularly want to do.
“Only if it’s for you, too.” He tries another smile. “From what you’ve said, it sounds like it’s about time you do things for yourself, hm?”
The Gatekeeper is still cupping his cheek, so he can feel the moment his hands start shaking. He wonders if they shook when he spilled his blood to fake his death.
“I…” His voice cracks. He drops his hand from the Helper’s face so he can wrap him in a tight hug instead. “I’m so glad you’re here. My god, I’m so glad you’re here, Helper, I… I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
The Helper hugs him back.
“It’s okay. Everything’s okay now.”
For a while they stand there. The Gatekeeper isn’t quite crying, but he is trembling in the Helper’s arms—murmuring things that he can’t make out, but are probably apologies.
When he pulls away he doesn’t go far. And he’s still trembling a little—his eyes shiny with unshed tears—but he seems more put together than he was a moment ago.
“I’ll—I’ll figure out how to make buttery butter, okay?” The Gatekeeper promises.
“Oh, how cool!” For the first time since they got here, a spark of excitement ignites in him. “We can all experiment together! I’m sure we’ll get it right eventually, you know?”
“Hopefully.” The Gatekeeper sends him a watery smile. “I just—I know how much you like it. You did always say it was the best part of Santo Berço.”
That was when he still had Santo Berço. When he didn’t have to miss it. But the sentiment is sweet, and he is clawing for any scrap of familiarity.
For the Collector and the Nurse it isn’t so bad, he thinks. As much as they might miss it, they know what it’s like to live without it. All they’ll need is a readjustment period.
The Gatekeeper is in his boat, but it’s different. He’s always hated Santo Berço—apparently. And he’s probably been on enough Pilgrimages to understand how the world outside is.
“Thank you.” It’s worth being optimistic, though. “I think between the four of us we’ll get close!”
“We will.” The Gatekeeper declares—an intensity to him that the situation doesn’t really require. “I promise.”
They should maybe talk about that. The devotion he feels for them.
The Helper knows the Nurse doesn’t like it. He’s aware of her wariness every time the Gatekeeper is around. But they all saw the fates of the people still connected to the Saint, and the Helper finds it difficult to hate his friend for his original plan.
He doesn’t want to open up the discussion and find out she has a reason to still be worried, though. It’s a strange enough thing to know your friend would kill you to prevent your suffering. To not be able to shake the fear that came with the certainty you were about to die by his hands.
He doesn’t want it to be made worse. He’s lost too much to lose the Gatekeeper now.
“Come on.” The Helper says, nudging the Gatekeeper into action. “The Nurse said you should be resting, and you know she knows what she’s talking about.”
“If you could say that with less infatuation in your voice I’d be more inclined to believe you, you know?” The Gatekeeper says teasingly. “But you’re right—she’s right—I am tired. Maybe you could carry me?”
The Gatekeeper had collapsed when the Saint was killed. Dropped like a stone before any of them could catch him. It wasn’t as worrying as bursting into flames, but it was still terrifying.
The Helper had carried him to safety. Held on tightly to him—almost afraid he’d disappear in front of him, just like his dad had.
“Yeah, okay.”
And then he scoops him up.
It’s as easy to carry him as last time, but this time feels nicer. Less terrifying. Instead of being limp and unconscious in his arms, the Gatekeeper clings back to him immediately—his eyes widening in shock.
The Helper laughs. The Gatekeeper clearly wasn’t expecting the request to be taken seriously, but he doesn’t complain or ask to be put down and it’s—it’s nice.
It’s a short walk to the spare room, but the Gatekeeper is already dozing off. He lays him down in bed gently, but the Gatekeeper grabs his arm before he can leave.
“Wait, can you—can you stay?” He asks, his voice shaky with something the Helper would label as fear. “Please? Just until I fall asleep.”
“Okay.”
He was going to wait up until the Nurse got back from her shift, but that won’t be for a few more hours.
So, he gets into bed, but doesn’t lay down—unwilling to tempt sleep. Just sits there and lets the Gatekeeper curl up against him. It’s a bit of a tight fit, but he doesn’t mind. The closeness is nice, actually.
“Goodnight.” He cards a hand through the Gatekeeper’s hair. Like this, it’s hard to imagine he could be capable of murder. “Sleep well.”
“Thank you. Goodnight.”
The Gatekeeper falls asleep quickly, but the Helper doesn’t leave yet. It’s peaceful. And it wouldn’t hurt to keep an eye on the Gatekeeper’s health.
The Nurse had said he’ll probably need more time to recover than them, but she had also asked the Helper to tell her if he seemed to be getting worse.
He was his dad’s assistant before the Blacksmith’s, after all. And while he definitely doesn’t have the knack for it that the Nurse does, he thinks he could at least figure out if she needs to reassess his condition.
But the Gatekeeper seems fine for now, and he has a couple of hours to kill. So, he grabs the book on the bedside table that the Gatekeeper’s been reading through and starts reading it himself.

hope you guys enjoyed \o/!! i'm happy to talk more about the au's details if anyone's curious

AU Sonic Smackdown - Round 2, Right Side
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Click to see full size image
Dark Gaia Sonic AU belongs to @cattyanon
Infested AU belongs to @hejjhug
Learn more about them under the cut!
Dark Gaia Sonic AU-
Personality: Mostly the same as normal Sonic but there’s some quirks due to the reason for his unsightly transformation. He’s more… grim. Not nearly as peppy. Dark humor actually gets a laugh out of him now too.
Backstory: During the time where Dark Gaia takes back it’s energy to form itself, including from Sonic, Sonic fights to keep it- He doesn’t want Dark Gaia to get any stronger and he’d just come to accept his new werehog form! But something very unexpected happens during this game of tug o war. While trying to take back the energy that Dark Gaia was attempting to steal, Sonic accidentally ends up taking back more energy than he started with. Too much energy. Almost all of it, in fact.
Assuming Dark Gaia had been defeated some how, Chip goes back into the earth with what little of Dark Gaia’s original form is left and uses his powers to send Sonic back to where they first met.
Unfortunately it doesn’t take long for the consequences of Sonic’s (albeit unintentional) actions to unfold in the form of a grueling transformation…
Abilities: Same as the werehog and Dark Gaia.
Etc: There’s a constant war in his mind for control of the body, with Sonic just always barely ahead. Because of this he talks in chunks. “Which basically… means he talks… like this…” He’s also prone to spacing out because of this too- although this mostly happens during the night since that’s when Dark Gaia is at it’s strongest. And although this is probably obvious when you think about it, but just as confirmation he is in fact immortal. He also loathes being the way he is now. At least as the werehog he could still run and go places more or less normally. But now? Now he’s 147 meters tall… And there’s a LOT more downsides to that fact. Namely things he can’t really do now. One of the other most devastating beings that, due to them being so small now, he can’t taste chilli dogs. Somebody would have to make a REALLY big chili dog for him to taste anything. Or maybe a lot? Either way it’d be a giant (no pun intended, but welcomed) effort to go through.
Infested AU-
Sonic, under the influence of a mysterious alien brain parasite, has become unpredictable and very, very dangerous. While all his powers remain the same, he now uses his speed to maim and kill anyone who moves. Sonic’s mental state has devolved to basic instinct, and, thanks to the parasite, he is in a near-constant state of feeling like a wild animal trapped in a corner. As a result, he will call upon impossible strength, reserved only for life-or-death scenarios. Pray you don’t catch his attention. You can’t outrun the fastest thing alive.

Child au ideas
ut multiverse ideas ❤️
Wild Imagination
What if the multiverse is one big lie and was just a made up story by a bunch of childrens? Seems like a stretch but think about it, children have such wild Imagination and most of their stories come up of ethereal beings, magics, god just fantasy on an another level. This multiverse is specifically just a story made up by childrens, well child version's of the Main characters of course, the side characters are mostly just distant relatives, friends or just made up character that doesn't show up often. Character relationship & age Nightmare (Looks like passive) (Acts as corrupted Nightmare, King of negativity/and drama) age:8 *Dream's twin brother *Loves drama, very dramatic so he chose to be a villain *Loves fantasy story books * 'Big' brother Dream (Acts as the positive guardian) Age:8 *Night's twin brother *Loves hero stories *Loves cartoons *Often quarrels with twin brother but just light hearted and normal children quarrels. * 'younger' brother *Chose nightmare to be the 'big' brother Blueberry (Acts as Swap) Age:6 *Very honest and obedient *Lives Mexican food because he grew up in a Mexican family. *Has a brother named Honeycomb/Honey. (his papyrus's name) *Loves anime (influenced by Cross) *Loves cooking and play cook *Wants to be a Royal guard some day *Loves Knight in shining armor stories (same with Cross) *Besties with Ink, Dream, Cross and Rosie (Lust's name) *Cross's cousin Ink (Acts as protector of worlds) Age:7 *Loves drawing/painting but isn't allowed to paint because he's very messy *Loves Error (platonic) *Loves making friends *Loves kid's younger than him because he's an only child and wants a younger sibling. *Wants to play with Error a lot, often seen with him. *He's a cry baby when it comes to his stuff breaking or going wrong.reason why he quarrels with Error so much because Error is very clumsy and is a child and breaks Ink's stuff. Error (Acts as destroyer) Age:5 *Child *Does child stuff *Very clumsy and often breaks toys or paper *Slow learner *Probably autistic(?) *his brother's are Geno and Fresh *The only toys that survived his destructive baby hands are stuff toys. Geno (acts whatever he needs to be) Age:10 *Loves his brother's *Quite sickly but nothing deadly, like getting hospitalized 2-3 times a year and prone to fever. *Takes great care of his brother's *Has a crush on reaper (optional) *Very protective and caring Fresh (acts as the 'Parasite') Age:8 *Likes annoying Error *Loves his brother's *Very annoying *Tends to prank the kid's (reason why he's the parasite in the story) Killer (Acts as Nightmare's right hand man) Age:7 *Likes messing around and annoying people *Adhd kid *Very loud and confusing *Nightmare's best friend Horror: (acts as Nightmare's gang member) age:9 *Very sensitive to sound *Loves eating and sweets *probably broke a tooth because of it *Got into an accident when he was 6 and broke a part of his skull (not very big but big enough damage that it couldn't be healed) *Has SPD and Autism *Dust's big brother *Probably wearing a headset Dust (acts as a member of Nightmare's gang) Age:8 *Very silent *always sticks to Horror *Actually responsible *Very protective of his big brother *Loves playing with his friends Cross (Acts as someone who can't decide which side he's on) Age:7 *Always changing side because he can't decide and Dream and Nightmare doesn't care about it. *Loves chocolate, actually lost a tooth because of it (sneaking some sweets into bed and not brushing his teeth) *has a Brother named Apryx (his papyrus's name, age:11) *Loves knight stuff, swords or something similar to a soldier. Knight in shining armor type of fan. *Loves anime! (Influenced by his brother) *Swap's Cousin (add whatever ┐(´ー`)┌ )
Child of chaos
Error sans as a kid! Ink was excited, after decades of boredom the destroyer was fated to be created soon and he knows it! finally an enemy and entertainment! but when Ink realized that his enemy was a kid he wasn't sure anymore. The child destroyer was probably from one of those child ver. of aftertale that had played around with dt and no clip through reality and get thrown in the anti void, just like any other Error. Ink decided to just adopt him, it's kinda unfair to be fighting with a kid y'know? (Similar to G!Ink and G!Error story)
Surprise you're adopted!
Ink was supposed to be soulless but what if Ink, the creator was born a god with no world? he has a soul, he has feelings, he only needs his paints to strengthen himself when he's low on magic or for emergencies. at first he created so many worlds, so many possibilities but as decades came by he soon grew bored. When the multiverse reached their limit and the god of destruction came to destroy a couple of worlds he didn't bother saving any of it. He knows it's the other god's job and didn't wanna make the other's life hell. He doesn't play hero, he doesn't show up either, only core knows he exist and promised not to tell anybody. he doesn't even show up to the infamous destroyer. when dreamtale came that's when he intervened, maybe it's because unlike him and Error, they were just guardians and kids, they have a childhood, they could have a proper childhood. so what did he do? nothing, because he can't, Dreamtale isn't his, he can do nothing about it, but he can intervene once it's script was all finished, when Nightmare finally got corrupted and Dream became stone he took the stone child to his doodle sphere and set to capture the corrupted monster child while the kid is still in stone. It took decades but when Nightmare stopped being an insane idiot running around ruining timelines he was surprised adopted by Ink, Dream came out of stone yadda yadda yadda it's all good, they slowly became brother's again, btw Error's an uncle now and somehow the supposed gang became baby sitters.
(I need more Ink parent au's)
Too relatable (Not a Child au but an alternate version of Surprise you're adopted)
An alternate version of 'Surprise you're adopted'. Ink born god of creation was a cheerful and energetic creator decades ago, creating different worlds, the destroyer came when the multiverse reached it's limit due to an accident of creative spree, Ink didn't intervene and decided to befriend the destroyer, it was rough at first and rather violent but slowly but surely they became best friends (Error would never admit it).
Prince of darkness
After the corruption in which Nightmare regains sanity he wanders in the multiverse, he's as tall as a regular sans and grumpy most of the time, he's more like a teenager trying to act cool and scary. he finds his 'gang' along the way in which they know he's the youngest out of all of them and decided to spoil the crap out of him.

So, in the pretender au, does optimus have the matrix of leadership, and if so, what does it think of him and the parasite business?
Oh he absolutely does have it and BOY the Matrix and those within it are not happy.
Previous part here.
━━━━━━ ⊙ ❖ ⊙ ━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⊙ ❖ ⊙
He probably should have kept up with the affairs of the living realm, but Liege Maximo gave up somewhere halfway into Nova Prime's reign. Being dead was not all the living children of Primus chalked it up to be, at least not for Liege. Sure there were no more physical concerns, but by the stars, there was none of that peace and quiet nonsense.
Primus had seen fit to put all of the Primes within the Matrix upon their deaths, all to guide those who would come after. It was a logical decision, one Liege saw increadible potential in for himself. If he could get a word in with the chosen Primes, he could manipulate them as he saw fit. Eventually he would find a way to get a new body through the Primes and their near infinite political influence. At least that was his big plan. Unfortunately for him, his siblings were not so keen to let him roam free.
"We are the Primes of old, here to offer our wisdom and guide you, young Prime. But take heed, do not listen to the voice of Liege Maximo. We cannot silence him, and despite his elegant words, he wishes you harm."
It was the same script over and over again. If he was honest, Liege was rather offended. He didn't necessarily want to harm the Primes chosen by the Matrix, he just wanted out of the Primus forsaken relic. It was never ending chatter in their gold gilded prison. Quintus was forever rambling on about something or other. Prima and Amalgemous were constantly bickering over what to do about the newest series of Primes. Then there was Solus who simply refused to shut up about the little glitches who came and claimed the Matrix along with the station it entailed. There was no such thing as peace and quiet within their pocket realm in the Matrix.
As such, Liege simply stopped bothering with the new Primes once they refused to adhere to him more than three times. He listened when his siblings spoke of the new Prime that was meant to come, one supposedly forged in Thirteen's image. However he didn't put much stock in their words. If the next Prime was to be like Thirteen, then he wouldn't be able to say two words before he was shut down. No use trying if he was guaranteed to fail in this case.
At least, that was what his original plan was.
When the time came and a new mech approached the Matrix, Liege was all but shoved forward to observe the candidate. He sighed but observed, quickly growing more and more interested as the mech dragged himself forward.
His limbs were long and gangly, too long to be normal by modern Cybertronian standards according the memories of prior Primes. His optics were wider than they should have likely been, his frame was disproportionate to the point of being almost comical, and the way his field flared was... ominous. He didn't feel like any creation of Primus Liege had encountered. He was certainly still a Cybertronian, but the waves he emitted spoke of CNA that was closer in strain to an Insecticon, or perhaps even Quintus's creations. Something so deviated and yet still intrinsically tied to the Cybertronian template that it neither presented as friend or foe.
The other Primes reeled in confusion. Liege could hear their whispers of how "He isn't the one." But of course, there was no time for his siblings to reject the newcomer as the mech, or perhaps the creature, suddenly dropped to all fours and threw itself forward with preposterous speed. Micronus prepared and electric field around the Matrix, Prima and the others hurried to burn the newcomer if he, or perhaps it, so much as touched them. But in that moment, Liege saw and opportunity. Using what influence he had, he waited until the last moment and disrupted his sibling's defenses, allowing the creature to grab the Matrix and hold it in his far too long digits.
His siblings screamed. Liege smiled as the thing carried the Matrix away, down tunnels and into the dark. His siblings screamed that they would never accept the newcomer, but the thing did not halt in its steps. It moved with purpose until it arrived before an active plasma pit. Liege cackled as the thing held the Matrix over the edge, its voice ringing out in a strange strangled mixture of hisses and chittering.
"We will not adhere to you. Whatever you are, you are not our chosen."
"No, but I am all that remains."
"Leave us. You are not worthy."
"I carry his CNA, his memory, and his goals."
"We do not know you or what you are. You are a face stealer, a creature that haunts the dreams of newsparks."
"I am a failsafe, a being designed to ensure that something of this world endures in the event that my foolish sister race fail to secure their continued existence."
"You are not one of us. We give you nothing. Return us to our resting place so that someone who is worthy may claim us."
"I am afraid I cannot allow that. I need the security that this relic provides. I need the wisdom of the ages in order to ensure that my kind flourish."
"A being such as yourself does not deserve to continue functioning, much less spread."
"Perhaps. But if you will not grant me the wisdom you hold, then none shall possess it."
"You cannot do this. The wisdom we carry is meant only for the Primes."
"Then make me something greater, make me a Prime."
His siblings bickered, but ultimately they conceded. The creature smiled, fangs and mandibles on full display as it parted its chassis to reveal a fully formed spark hidden within a chamber made of calipers more akin to claws. The Matrix was placed within, and the Primes did only the bare minimum to adjust the being they were now bound to. For the first time, Liege put all of his effort into the new Prime. His siblings offered no gifts aside from the usual enhanced strength. But Liege? Oh he did far more than them. With his siblings refusing to augment the new Prime more than absolutely necessary, Liege stepped in.
Looking over the new Prime's biology, Liege wanted to laugh until he passed out. Such a convoluted being. It was a miracle the creature had lasted so long. Plant, Insecticon, base Cybertronian, and even a small portion of Mech-animal CNA were mixed together in an unholy union. The fact that the creature lasted past its conception was surprising in the extreme. It was a wonderful concept, a creature capable of reproducing on its own to eliminate the need for the Well. It's biology allowed it and all its kind to work with the Insecticon colony instinct, getting rid of the pesky emotional distress that the children of Primus felt when put into a role. And most notably, its biology dictated that it's young could be changed, their very CNA adjusted to blend in, to act and seem just like any other Cybertronian... up until it was time for them to wake. It was a brilliant creature, one that simply had a few flaws.
Liege smoothed its coding, easing everything into a far less volatile state so that it would not forever be at odds with itself when around the children of Primus. He adjusted the creature's transformation cog so that it could both have a vehicular alternate mode and shed its disguise without pain. He carefully rearranged how its internals were structured, adjusting its organs to match the children of Primus in appearance so that scanners would not give it away. He went to great lengths to dutifully alter the creature's appearance, granting it something more regal to cover for its natural traits. Then, just as his siblings noticed his intervention, he adjusted one final thing in the creature. It's field was a dead giveaway, so he simply... quieted it. A keen set of optics would still pick the creature out, but the average mech would feel nothing.
When Prima stepped in, halting his changes, Liege simply laughed. The creature had been changed, and now it was guaranteed to last. This being could make Liege a body, and more than that, it was a being made of logic. It would listen to him.
"We will offer our wisdom, but do not heed the voice of Liege Maximo. He will lead you astray-"
"I will adhere to whomever I wish to offer my audial. You will not sway me."
The creature had sensed Liege's changes, it saw him favorably. The other Primes shrank back, most giving up immediacy as the thing's optics became their own. It began its journey toward the surface, toward the Autobots. All the Primes did was plot and pray the creature ended up being killed. Liege however pushed forward, brushing past his siblings to complete the rite.
"We have never had a Prime such as yourself. You need a designation worthy of your station."
"What name would you give me silver speaker?"
"You are the first of your kind, and I believe that given time, you shall usher in a new age for this world."
"Complete your statement. There is little time to waste."
"I would grant you the name Optimus Prime. First of your kind and last of the old line of Primes."
"That is acceptable."
His siblings threatened him, but there was nothing they could do to stop him as Liege kept himself in the forefront of the Matrix. The new Prime did not trust them, and rightly so. The only one who he gave his attention to was Liege, and so Liege did everything in his power to build on the silver of trust given to him. The new Prime was naive in the ways of the world, so Liege directed him. He taught the creature how to speak, how to act, and how to manipulate. He sensed Optimus's will and goals, and he did all he could to assist. He supplied specific memories, cultivating all the knowledge the young Prime consumed. And with every passing cycle, he grew more cunning, more logical-
More like Liege Maximo.
Things were progressing well, but the Prime needed allies he could trust with his nature, and as soon as the Insecticons found him, Optimus had their allegiance. It had been a complete accident, but shortly after Optimus integrated with the Autobots, the nearest Insecticons tracked him down and bowed before him. Liege's augments made Optimus appealing, especially with the Prime's ability to spawn. The Insecticons sensed this, and their coding demanded they follow their "Queen".
The Prime, having cultivated his cunning under Liege's guidance, wanted to do the strategically correct thing and deploy the Insecticons to do his bidding. But Liege stepped in before he could. This was too good and opportunity, and with it, Liege had the chance to make a deal.
"Don't send them out Optimus. Your Autobots are already dubious about you. If you do this, they will find out what you are and refuse to follow you."
"I can conjure a tale. I am a Prime."
"That is true, but you must understand how important reputation is. It would be wiser to use your new subjects to bolster your foundation, to build on what you have."
"What are you suggesting?"
"You cannot spawn because it is not safe for your young yet. But you are also the only one. If you die, your species will have failed."
"Get to the point."
"Use the Insecticons to create a safe haven, a storehouse for your spawn until it is safe for them to grow. The Insecticons will guard them, and in the event all else fails, you can wait until the children of Primus have thinned their ranks and do whatever you wish with your forces."
"That is a logical suggestion."
"Not only that, but should you be killed, some of your young will remain. And in doing so, you also ensure the survival of some of your sister race through the Insecticons."
"I understand. I will follow this advice."
"Good... and to ensure their security, I have a few measures that could be used to guard your brood while you are absent."
"You offer this knowledge too freely. What is it you want?"
"You have learned well. I want a body Optimus. I have been locked in here since the first age, and with your ability to spawn, all you would need to do it connect the Matrix toward your reproductive systems. Then I can move my spark into one of your larva."
"It would mean death for the larva in question."
"A small price to pay for my teachings."
"How do I know you will not turn on me upon receiving a frame?"
"Why would I? You may rule over your kind as you see fit. They would not adhere to me anyway. But in return, I wish to govern the children of Primus."
"You will not harm me or my kin."
"Of course."
"Then the deal is done. Offer me your knowledge to guard my brood, and we shall discuss when you are to receive your frame."
The deal was complete, and Liege could only smile as he sat back and guided the young Prime in his work. Finally, a Prime he could use, a Prime that agreed with him. No matter what happened to Optimus, the creature would keep his oath. In the end, the new species would survive and Liege would get his frame. His siblings begged him to use his trust with the Prime to lead him to death, but Liege refused. They screamed as the named Pretender spawned, and Liege chuckled.
Let them spread, let the Pretenders grow. They would be valuable allies once Liege was set free. They were logical, and so long as Liege had useful skill or wisdom to offer, they would aid him. Optimus had proven as such. The Pretenders were the bane of the Decepticons and Liege Maximo's salvation. He would need to thank the one called Shockwave when all was said and done. The Pretenders were truly extraordinary.

Hello, Tee!
I'm sorry that we all seem so purplexed by your existence. I very much prefer your existence over The Influence's horrific existence.
However, as much as we like you, (really we do, I promise,) are you sure you aren't still a parasite? I just cannot imagine your presence within Ragatha is... Pleasant.
-😶‍🌫️ anon
"Ah... I will admit it's not all sunshine and rainbows... She has to also deal with the hunger." She frowned. "I wish we could do something about it, but all we can do is ask Bubble to cook... which doesn't always work when your chef is always preoccupied with irritating his boss."
"Aside from that... Rags is more irritated by us, really... Probably cause we would tell her no when she's planning something devious."

I R EMMEBERED TO SEND YOU ANOTHER ONE. 🌠🌪️🖍️🎀✏️✂️🏊🌌 november
Tumblr media
sicko at the window for talking about beans
🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?
for if everything didn't happen (legacys deaths? the supernova? them?)
🌪️ TORNADO - what is the biggest change you've ever made to them? how have they changed from their original version?
November's characterization and appearance has actually stayed consistent since making them. At most, he doesn't talk as much anymore in his default state, and avoiding being outside of their suit more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One thing that was retconned was a scene when November talked about missing safety railings. That was originally from Greyvember whose character was developed further later on, so the dialogue doesn't suit him anymore and Northvember said it instead.
🖍️ CRAYON - what advice would you give to them?
uhhhh that's rough buddy
🎀 RIBBON - how would they fit into other worlds / aus? what aus would you like to try out? what fictional world would they fit / not fit into?
November is really weird to fit into other worlds. He can't be in anything that doesn't include some form of a supernatural/magic system and/or creatures? Because if I were to simplify his concept down to what's recognizable: November is a collection of souls associated with a form or container where they attempt to be one guy or one thing. So any "modern au" without supernatural elements wouldn't really work. November's situation is not equivalent to irl cases of DID. Fantasy settings are probably fine. Be some weird cursed person or artifact, easy. Armoured suit November? could you imagine. There's a Pokemon AU for Modleyverse, where the only difference is that Pokemon exist. BUT. If November WAS a Pokemon, they're like a Spiritomb.
✏️ PENCIL - is there a particular quote / lyric that you associate with them?
From the playlist made for them uhhh maybe these parts
Tumblr media
from Each Time I Die - Bones & Beeker
Tumblr media
from November - Sparkbird
✂️ SCISSORS - what is the "last straw" for them to cut someone out of their life? how easily do they let go of people?
November so far hasn't been in a situation where it's gotten to that. It's theoretically very easy to get November to start avoiding you if they become afraid. An example is when Mars accidentally sliced the suit and November got scattered and panicked, and so started associating Mars with his tools rather than as crewmate. They got slightly better though, because they're both on a spaceship with nowhere to go, with Mars trying to coax November out of the vents, and something keeps urging November to do his tasks, so he couldn't hide forever. Other situations wouldn't resolve as easily, especially if November doesn't have any connection to the person prior.
🏊 SWIMMING - can they swim? or are they afraid of water? how well do they swim? how do they feel about swimming in the ocean?
Nope! It's really hard to swim with a suit, and otherwise would be extinguished if it's enough water. If with a proper suit, still cannot swim well at all. How they feel about swimming depends, but you're most likely to get either "no.. that's scary.." or "yes, I am an excellent swimmer :)!" and proceeds to not move because of subconscious self-preservation.
🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?
First was their name. I just like code word stuff so I picked a couple names from the phonetic alphabet (my beloved) for an astronaut character. I think I had: bravo, kilo, november, tango, and whiskey? Friends suggested november because I was using the white suit and the month of november is cold. This influenced having a winter outfit theme later as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Visually, November was recycled from an old UOHRPG (different OC world) enemy + Vashta Nerada from Doctor Who
Other influences were also: The Flood (The Waters of Mars episode) which were liquid parasite colonies The Lux Foundation Library/Doctor Moon's concept of "saving" (which are also from Silence in the Library which is where the Vashta Nerada were introduced, and were the reason needing "saving") (cuz November is both the murderer and victim) That one specific burnt Elsen from OFF (which is what the UOHRPG enemy was inspired by) And the specific discomfort and fear I got from Everyman being swarmed in Undertale Obligatory The Thing mention, which may have also helped with the winter theme. And I like fur hoods, winter clothing in general -> the jacket/bag helmets and gas masks -> the fighter jet helmet uniform/military dress uniforms -> hat/neck tie/aiguilettes

(This is so long, but it almost wraps up my thoughts on the most recent chapter. You've been warned. This is also in no way trying to justify AFO's current actions, I'm just over-analyzing the demon baby's childhood and how that turned into the adult demon we see today :>)
Something else I found interesting about the leaks. Baby AFO is killing people, I'm assuming for reasons of survival, either from those people being threats or they have something he needs.
But something that's really been on my mind lately is a child's perspective on death.
Children learn to love and fear different concepts by parental figures in their life, or adults in general really. It's like a pack complex, they see others react a certain way to their environment and learn how to react as a result. Children really learn how to human from other adults, which deeply shapes their view of themselves and the world around them.
But another concept that is taught to children is the concept of death... Children learn that mortality exists, and that it is something to be afraid of... By adults...
But two orphans that raised themselves in an apocalyptical society, from what we can tell from birth, they didn't have adults around to teach them anything, let alone that people do die and that it's a bad thing. At least they didn't have that during some of their most pivotal developmental years.
We see AFO as a monster, a child born evil, but for 1. We see this from a what could be considered the most unreliable narrator. 2. We don't see how he started killing, what made him start? The scenes we've seen thus far could be the first murders, but do we have evidence that it really was.
Baby Afo is so young at this point that his idea of death is a very limited one. Normally, we really start to process death and what it truly means at around 10, maybe. But he's very young here. It's possible he was attacked and so he attacked until the threat stopped moving. He was so young he may not have ever truly understood the gravity of what he had done until he grew older and was desensitized to it. Or maybe he was a hungry child with his feeble brother, who didn't know how to get any food. He wasn't given any help from the adults, possibly even paralleling Tenko. But he saw adults attacking other adults and getting food as a result. So, he followed their lead, like a child would mimic a parent, and he got a reward for him and his brother, food. Children have a large pleasure/pain complex, if their needs aren't met, they are often impatient until they receive what they want or need and can't emotionally regulate like adults can (another thing taught to them by adults). He doesn't understand that he is killing these people, he just knows he needs to stop them as a threat (either to protect him and his brother or feed him and his brother,) make sure they stop moving so they can't hurt him. It's also possible he wants to steal their quirks, something flashy, another part of the reward complex in his brain and his barely contained kleptomania.) And mind you, much of this is talking about normal human children... Not children with meta-abilities which are looking more like parasitic diseases with each new update. (Diseases that control the host and deeply influences their actions, mannerisms, and behavior. Also, something I will probably go on another rant about, let's be honest.)
Another interesting thing is this is from AFO's point of view. And all I've been seeing is that "AFO was born evil," or commenting on how horrifying AFO looked like as a child.
If this is how All for One sees himself... Well, that makes sense why he's such a damn bastard today. Not even as an infant did, he give himself the grace of looking like a normal child. We, the viewer is meant to see him as evil from birth, because that is how AFO sees himself. It's so interesting because one could even argue that AFO isn't happy, doesn't view himself as someone who has a heart or compassion. It's like because the villain in the comic book reminded him of himself, he's modeled himself to be like the villain, someone without care, someone who doesn't love. With Yoichi's death, we get a panel of the original shock, the remorse, and that progresses to the blank, empty, look in his eyes with tears falling down his face. He's always seen himself as the villain and refuses to recognize that he is indeed human. Which obviously from a DFO perspective makes sense in a truly heartbreaking way.
But I just can't get over how he views himself, it's creepy, unsettling, almost like he's afraid of himself. Like he views himself in the way his own victims view him. But someone who I always imagined views himself like a god, who's always in the right (he does believe he's always right,) I was expecting more emphasis on everything he did for his brother, the nicer clothes, he didn't look malnourished while AFO did, things like that. Or maybe a normal looking child (or hell even an unrealistically majestic child, or something.) the parts of himself that showed power, without the unexplained murder we got. I was expecting an attempt to prove how he was in the right, how he was trying to protect his brother. Emphasize the anger he still feels at losing him. But no, from what I can tell it's mainly the evil things he's done, with a small glimpse of them reading together. It lacks the depth, like he wants to appear flat instead of completely multidimensional. And honestly, that's IF he's being honest, which in and of itself is unlikely. But with how he's illustrated himself, you can look at it two ways, it's even more likely that he'd start a family, or it's less likely, because he was born evil and all he's cares about is possessing OFA/his bother. His backstory just gives me the vibe that he WANTS you to believe the second. Like he WANTS you to believe he's not human, and could never have a son, or at the least never care for any child he'd have.
He's trying too hard to prove how evil he is, how almost incapable of care or remorse he is. I'm skeptical.
But honestly, I think if this little story of his is true then... I think he should be locked in a museum. Looking at who he is, how he views himself and the world, illustrates the Dawn of Quirks in a way no Hero History book could. He was raised by a society that hated him for his quirk, honestly like most villains in BNHA.

I want to share what the dynamics of my BG3 party with my character, since I've nearly finished ACT 1. I will probably do this at the end of every act cause I am so excited to see how all these dynamics develop.
(Slight Spoilers for BG3 ACT 1)
Medea - My Durge character, often goes with the diplomatic approach, she's charismatic and hides her urges well (except with Alfira but everyone thinks it the tadpole). I'll probably make a separate post going into detail, this is more just to give context
Shadowheart - Second person Medea met, saved her from the Nautiloid, they both have an insane amount of trust in each other. Romance is also blooming between them. With Medea as the leader of the party, you could say that Shadowheart is her second in command. Medea is also getting a lot of bad vibes from what Shadowheart says about Shaar but is trying to be open minded while trying to subtly convince her that maybe she should leave and that what she's going through with Shaar isn't good. They also bond over their shared memory problems.
Astarion - Second person Medea met after the crash, pulled a knife on her when she went to help him, no blood was spilt though. After that they basically started bickering like siblings, Medea being the responsible one, Astarion being the bad influence, both of them chaotic. Also in my mind, since Medea is also an elf and has the same sleep schedule as Astarion, she was suspicious of him sneaking off at night. Though she didn't think he was a vampire, speaking of which, she will never not make fun of Astarion for trying to bit her even though she is literally the one other person who traces, meaning she was the worst person to bite from if he didn't want to get caught. Basically they act like siblings, also Medea has only heard the basics of who Cazador is and already wants to kill him.
Gale - Third person to join the party and the person Medea has the highest approval rating with. When she found out about Gale's condition she instantly sought out magical items that he could use, she was also very stunned when she found out about him a Mystra. Medea was never the studious type, even without a majority of her memories she knows she has a distaste for casting the magic wizards cast, however, casting that magic with Gale is different. She genuinely enjoyed it, and something tells her that he's the best teacher she's ever had. Honestly, even though this is act 1, I didn't expect Gale and Medea to become so close or like each other so much.
Lae'zel - First person Medea met (cause that's how the game goes) and honestly when it comes to her urges, Lae'zel is the one she thinks will take her out if needed. She's even considering telling Lae'zel about the urges. They have a lot of respect for each other even if they disagree on sertain situations, and they probably want the tadpoles out of their head the same amount as at this point Medea thinks her urges could be influenced by the parasite, so she wants it out. Honestly compared to the others there isn't much to say, mostly because I play in character, which means I choose which characters join me based on how close my character is to them or how important they are to the mission lore wise. Their dynamic will probably change in act 2 though.
Wyll - Medea and Wyll have had a slow burn to their friendship, though there is trust between them, they haven't known each other long enough to form a distinct bond (though I am tempted to get them a sibling bond because of what Wyll said after she said they will get his dad back). However, Medea does feel guilty about Wyll's dad being captured, feeling as though she could have done something. It's been added to her ever growing mountain of guilt (at this point she's dealing with the urges, she's killed Alfira, and she's killed Mayrina's brothers), she's also determined to help Wyll get his father back. She has also made it her goal to see Wyll dance.
Karlach - Her and Medea have not interacted much (that will change in Act 2), but so far I think Karlach is on the fence on whether to trust my character or not, because she says a lot of fucked up shit she doesn't mean in order to manipulate her enemies and Karlach tends to take it at face value so she obviously disproves of what Medea is saying. I like to think the displeasure shows on her face and every time Medea looks back at Karlach and gives a look of "I'm not actually going to do it".
Halsin - Like Karlach they haven't interacted that much but that will change in Act 2. As for now though they like each other and Medea wants to get to know him more.
And that's it for now!! I'm really excited to see how the game progresses and how these dynamics develop.

DIAGNOSTIC OLYMPICS, SEASON 1, EPISODES 5-15
part one
Hi! I was curious about who on House (besides House) gets the most diagnoses right. Other folks have already run a tally (it's Chase), but I was curious how other factors would influence the tally — whose ideas get run with, who manages treatment, who screws up… So I thought I'd keep score.
1 point for getting the answer. This is almost always going to be House.
.5 points for Valuable Contribution — stuff that isn't the final answer, but either is thought to be the final answer or is valuable to the solving of the case. Stuff like "noticing something on the MRI" doesn't count; things like "figuring out how to treat" does.
-.5 to -1 for Mistakes — stuff that delays or prevents diagnoses, injuring or killing patients, etc.
FIDELITY
DIAGNOSES: African Sleeping Sickness
+1 House: Figures it out very early, the trick is proving it, which takes significantly longer. +.5 Foreman: When at first it looks like sleeping sickness is impossible, he comes up with a strong secondary theory and gets House Praise GO-GETTER AWARD: This is the third time Cameron has brought House a case, and in just a couple episodes she'll bump that up to four. PROBABLY A COINCIDENCE AWARD: Chase immediately guesses parasites based on the idea that "maybe she was lying about never leaving the US." This is the second time in three episodes his first offhand guess ends up being right.
POISON
DIAGNOSES: Pesticide Poisoning
+1 Team: This is another episode where they basically know what's happening immediately, the trick is proving it/figuring out how to treat it. +.5 Cameron: Successfully bullies the mother after she shoots down everyone else. House and Chase had to trick her in the end anyway, but credit where it's due. -5 COOL POINTS: When the patient is seizing, the subtitles have Chase saying "stay calm." The words that actually come out of his mouth are "stay cool, mate."
DNR
DIAGNOSES: Bad Arteries
+1 Team: Another episode where no one person has a big breakthrough; they only catch the cause of the patient's paralysis on a scan. +.5 House: His determination that something is wrong and should be addressed leads to the patient not only being able to walk, but still being alive. Legally shady, medically good. +.5 Cameron: Suggests a stroke early on, and a scan does find a clot. It doesn't end up being the problem, just a symptom, but good call. +0 Foreman: His first time running a case and it really doesn't go well. He keeps following House's orders and doubting himself, lies about treatment, and is generally wishy-washy. He didn't make any mistakes (because he didn't make any calls), but not a good showing.
HISTORIES
DIAGNOSES: Rabies
+1 House: Figures out the patient has rabies. -.5 Foreman: Makes a number of mistakes, from refusing to take any of the patient's symptoms seriously to wanting to discharge her to almost giving her an MRI with a metal pin in her arm. I was going to give him a full point demerit, but he does accurately guess she gave herself the insulin OD intentionally, and once he gets over himself and realizes he fucked up he works really hard to help the patient.
DETOX
DIAGNOSES: Termite poisoning
+1 House: Figures it out while actively suffering drug withdrawal. +.5 Chase: The patient's eye gets a clot and goes blind, but he's on blood thinners and they can't operate. House is willing to just let the eye be blinded, but Chase figures out a creative way to remove the clot and save the eye. +0 Cameron: Suggests lupus and gets really, really stuck on it, but still goes along with all of House's ideas. They do eventually treat for lupus when House runs out of other ideas, but he's clear he doesn't think it's a good one. +5 MEME AWARD: First time lupus comes up on the show!
SPORTS MEDICINE
DIAGNOSES: Cadmium poisoning
+1 House: Takes him a while, because at first they dismissed environmental causes, but when the patient's wife shows a symptom he figures it out in three seconds. +.5 Chase: Initially suggests Addison's, which House likes and the team runs with. Later, is the first of the team to realize House thinks cadmium poisoning, and figures out the source. +10 FRIENDSHIP POINTS: The first time in the series the fellows hang out outside work, we see them getting drinks at one point and dinner with a drug rep at another.
CURSED
DIAGNOSES: Anthrax and Leprosy
+1 House: He figures out that the patient and his father both have leprosy. He also figures out Rowan Chase has cancer, but we're not grading on that case. +.5 Cameron: The first to realize anthrax after House notices something wrong with the sample. +.5 Chase: He has like three merits and three demerits for this one. His early guess of mold causing pneumonia is a good one, and leads them to anthrax. He also bonds with the patient and gets a truer history from him. However, once his dad shows up, Chase spends the rest of the episode just trying to prove him wrong: first that the patient doesn't have sarcoidosis, then testing for every single auto-immune disease known to man because daddy thinks it is one. On the other hand, he also sticks to his guns on anthrax and is proven correct even after the team and House (and dad) dismiss it as a possibility. -1 Rowan Chase: Being a bad father aside, his guesses are plausible but all wrong. As Baby Chase points out, Daddy Chase is just guessing rheumatoid diseases because that's what he knows. THE REMY HADLEY AWARD: Chase manages to be so opaque and so resistant to House's manipulation attempts that House gives up entirely and just tries to have an honest conversation with him. 13 would be proud.
CONTROL
DIAGNOSES: Ipecac poisoning
+1 House: Figures it out, and advocates hard for his patient to have a heart transplant once he realizes she's sick because she's self harming. Ethically shaky, medically good. +.5 Cameron: Reads a self-help book and manages to get the guys to agree with all her ideas and run her tests. She continues to have good ideas through the case, even if she quickly gets on all their nerves. +0 Chase: hot take alert! He loses points for his fuck up early in the episode: he's too busy flirting to realize he scanned the wrong leg. Luckily for him, it had no bearing on the case, but it could have gone very badly. On the other hand: Going off a vague clue (that House was acting oddly), he also manages to figure out the ipecac poisoning and that the patient's illness was self inflicted. He then runs to Vogler (+50 Rat Points). Shitty move ethically, good diagnosing. I wouldn't give him the credit if he hadn't also been careful to wait to tattle after the transplant was done.
MOB RULES
DIAGNOSES: Beef allergy
+1 House: The episode is really much more about Vogler and Chase's ratting than the case. The patient has an unrelated symptom (high estrogen) that throws everyone off for a while, but once House finds the cause it's pretty quick and obvious.
RUNNING TALLY:
HOUSE: 11.5 TEAM: 3 FOREMAN: 1 CHASE: 2.5 CAMERON: 2.5
Cameron has the biggest jump, going from .5 to 2.5: she isn't making any big leaps, but unlike Chase and Foreman, she's consistently solid and not making any big mistakes either. Good for her!

Thanks to Shadow Generations I have a headcanon in mind:
Consider Anti Shadow have Doom powers or whatever alien race he gets mixed up with.
Consider how Anarchy Energy is unstable and has detrimental effects to the host. If Gerald had intentions to make him the ultimate weapon then you must use the most harmful and powerful energy known to man, host be damned.
If he changed his mind at the last second then he must’ve created some support for Anti-Shadow to not experience these dreadful effects. It’s possible it breaks at some point post morph.
What if this ‘sweet’ hedgehog gets more drained and closer to death each time he morphs or suffers mutations beyond repair?
dude I need you to put initials at the end of these asks so I remember and thank you.
OKAY, you know what I’m considering is that Anti-Shadow would have more alien characteristics than Shadow. Extra eyes, those suction cups for octopuses or something I DONT KNOW ABOUT HOW HE WOULD LOOK I’m dying
Anyway, I like your idea. Originally, he would’ve been MUCH more alienlike than hedgehog, but overtime began to look less like an alien due to morphing.
Personally, I feel like he would be much more royal-like and chatty? Apparently Anti-Maria would’ve been evil and a bad influence. So perhaps, Anti Maria would’ve been bitter and sad, still suffering from a disease. She would’ve used Anti-Shadow’s admiration for her so he could reign havoc and destroy humanity. Like what Shadow thought Maria’s wish for him was, except there was no Memory alteration. Anti-Maria’s wish would’ve been SA2 Gerald’s wish.
Anti-Gerald probably schooled Anti-Shadow on good morals, so there would’ve been a battle of morals in the future.
ALSO, I think Anti-Shadow probably went on a rampage on the Arc, causing him to be contained for (woah) 50 years, only to be released and wanting to destroy the world.
Kinda like the SA2 plot, but instead of Scourge saying “Hey, let’s not destroy the world, you can be better.” (Like whatever sonic said) and instead says. “Listen, you’re powerful and destructive. But why destroy world when you can RULE it? Work with me here.”
100% would exploit his powers
also (IM SRILL THINKINF WAIT) there could be a parasitic relationship between them? Anti-Shadow would be a bit unstable when using, for example, anarchy (chaos) blast or chaos control. I see him as he would absorb others of their energy, while Shadow has a constant flowing energy, Anti would need to constantly resupply. Using up all of his energy would kill him, but also using too much in one go would. So, he carries around some anarchy beryl for his own good.
I think he thinks Chaos Energy is tasty, much much better than the bitterness of the Anarchy.
also he’s probably insane at sometimes due to the negatives of the anarchy beryl so he’s alot more violent than Shadow

(Goddamn I was finally able to write at least my character's personality and more, buaa. Btw this was translated so any mistakes are not my fault!)
Tumblr media
Dr. Harlow
Personality:
Kind and calm at first sight but inside he is just someone empty who needs to use everything in his favor to survive and cure himself of the parasite that consumes him. Harlow is the type of person who will always be kind to manipulate others for their own good, he resorts to this only when it is new information about a possible cure for his parasite or also for other personal reasons, you never know...He has the perfectionism syndrome, where you want to achieve impossible goals and have everything perfect at the same time, which can be understandable due to where you work and what you specialize in, nuclear physics and radiation. He is a little "dishonest" with his own things, in fact almost all of his sanity has worsened since he became home to the parasite or rather: part of it. Even so, his morality is based on the fact that death is not the solution to diseases, that there may be something far beyond where we can find a cure for everything. Basically someone very ambitious for the common "good", he is such an excellent persuader that you will not realize the consequences of the actions required by Harlow's request. He still tries to be useful and help, understand and seek cures, these thoughts originated in his childhood.
He has a fear of getting sick, since his body does not have the best defenses like others. This fear originated as a child and continued until he was an adult, but now with the parasite he no longer gets sick as often, according to his words...Something that not even he admits is that he has hysteria, influenced by his family, specifically his mother's family, deep down he lies to himself that everything is fine with his mentality and health, although not be true.
Family and childhood:
Mother, father and a younger brother! (I will talk about him later since they are both united in each other) childhood is considered the helplessness of not being able to have done anything to cure his mother of her madness. When Harlow was born she was occasionally mistaken for being delicate because she got sick quickly, which her mother associated with her being a "delicate child" and was given the name "Lily" whenever her mother was awake or quiet...Her mother suffered from schizophrenia and was also influenced by family hysteria, which is why she often had violent attacks on her own children. Harlow's father was not present at all, probably sleeping with other women because his wife did not satisfy him for being "crazy." And lastly, to his brother, when he was born, Harlow always protected him from his mother's outbursts so they were always together like this, although their relationship is too complicated at the moment, they are both on thin ice and if they make a bad step everything will crumbles. (I will talk about this when I upload information about the brother since he is another of my ocs that I want to talk about :3!)
SCP Foundation:
He discovered the SCP foundation by persuading a co-worker about where he worked, successfully getting his co-worker to take his recommendation to the SCP foundation, which worked well, and he was admitted and joined the research department, specializing in nuclear physics and radiation, thus over time raising the security level with a lot of effort. He has too much grudge against 05 because they did nothing regarding the parasite case, yet he refrained from doing anything foolish knowing that he is on thin ice with them so he continued to be cooperative with the SCP Foundation to have more trust from his superiors and make the most of it. He mostly isn't so hard on the newbies because he somehow feels some empathy because he reminds him of his brother. So if you see a man waving at you from a distance, get closer, he's just the one wanting to start a conversation with you and get to know you better.
Personal data and details!!
(his clothes, his open eyes and how his hair works)
Tumblr media
• Has nosophobia and hysteria
• The brooch that he wears around his neck was a gift from his mother, his brother also wears one of his but the jewel is a different color than his.
• During a containment breach he met SCP-706, where they had a small talk where they became friends, since that day Harlow occasionally visits SCP-706's containment cell as he sees her as a younger sister.
• The four little moles under each eye is something unique among his family that was inherited from his mother
• His favorite animals are owls and seals
• he is a person who can convince anyone of anything
• His favorite flower is hydrangeas and the ones he hates the most are lilies.
• he calls himself with his last name but never with his first name, since he has never mentioned it.
• One of the employees who has never gone to therapy and does not even attend the monthly psychological evaluations, ignoring that, no matter how much he needs it.

Hey, just found your mwii monster au and wanted to say that its really cool! Quick question tho, is Soap like an actual god or just a really stronk monster? If he is an actual god, was he born like that or did he inherit/grow into it?
Oh god (hah) ok I guess it's time to try and pin down godhood/divinity for this verse, huh? Been meaning to make notes. Definitely not just 'stong monster'.
Sorry but you'll never get a 'quick' answer from me when I could be worldbuilding, lol. This is barebones and subject to change, mebbe.
A mortal (ie. not godly) is only one thing. They're a human. They're a werewolf. They're a human-werewolf-hybrid but that's still just one being. When they die they're dead (or possibly undead, but that's still being one thing at a time).
They need to eat, to hunt, to rest, to replenish in a way that is a conscious effort.
Gods are born as mortals to mortal parents (if applicable), but attached to them is the divine element that they are the god of. They're a mortal but also that element, both avatar and embodiment. Ageing is a tricky thing, on average a god's mortal form will develop to maturity at a regular pace and remain at that point. (I should mention that gods aren't always born to sapient species.)
Their divinity/godhood on the other hand is ever growing and maturing, eventually shedding their mortal form (and later self) after which their element soon (relative) consumes them. That is when a god dies, and a new one is born, and the cycle begins again. The speed at which the cycle moves really depends on the individual cycle's god, their species, their circumstances and element.
In a way you can see a divine element as a parasite that attaches at birth to a host and sustains and consumes them over a span of decades to millenia. There is no way to predict, invite, stop or avert this, in fact you shouldn't even try. Without the divine element the thing itself would cease existing. The divine element also feeds the mortal form purely by it's element existing, as such a god doesn't need to eat or rest (but they can, if they so choose so), and it's very very hard to kill their mortal form. Depending on what stage they're at it's likely possible they can re-form from their element alone, even if their mortal form was completely destroyed. (Otherwise it's likely they move on to late stage godhood.) its impossible to injure a god with something associated to their element. (ie explosions = bullets, shrapnel, fire, heavy impact/shockwave, etc)
Soap being a god of explosions for example, is in the 'juvenile' stages of godhood (this does not influence his maturity as a human in any way). He's figured out manmade explosions/explosives, and the wonders of flammable gasses, and making anything explode that shouldn't/making things not-explode that should. But guys, guys, he hasn't even grocked yet that the two biggest natural sources of explosions are volcanic and stellar, as in solar flares and supernovas. (His endstage of godhood would probably be stuff like colliding black holes and just generally stretching too thin through the universe and completely losing any sense of self/personhood and eventually fading into nothing. But that's gonna be a long as while dw.)
