the relationships mechanic is a little annoying with a few characters but wowowwo this is a VERY GOOD GAME i will say

my review + some spoilers under the cut

couldn't figure out how to get kirill to like me enough, i got locked at around 60 relationship and couldn't finish his quest which is A SHAME because he seemed really cool... greasy weasel man my beloved...

the "only with you" dialogue option at 80 relationship for dragomir made me do a double take. does anyone know if this dude is a romance option?? how would one even build the relationship to that point??

kolya had a similar problem but it was ok in the end because his death gave me the good kind of heart-wrenching pain rather than annoyance from lack of content

another thing is roman. after finishing his romance arc, i picked the option to tell him about my vampirism when possible, but upon visiting the graveyard at the end, i found his tombstone. upon examining it, liza says that "he volunteered to become a vampire". there's no mention of him actually becoming one and it's implied she just.. let him die. like.. what's even the point of pursuing romance with an immortal being if u cant spend eternity together??

anyway despite all the issues i had along with some other bugs.. i really love this game. esp since it really makes your early-game choices come back to bite u later (lol)

Just finished playing Cabernet and let me tell you something.

I have never in my life been so insane about something like this before? It's magnificent. It is like a nice Hungarian ratatouille; you expect the paprika and the spice and the tomatoes, but then you are hit with the sausage and the bacon pieces, you know?

Very remarkable, as an Eastern European, to see a well-made game with well-pronounced names and all that. I thought it was going to be less... Good, in that sense, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I think a bunch of people who are from Eastern Europe can relate to a lot of these things. It holds a lot of generational trauma despite it being entirely fictional and I barely even realised it before.

Anyhow I am not sure what I want to say with this but, it's excellent and I can't wait to read people's experiences all throughout the internet. WAHOO.
