man, you know, nobody asked me, but I have such conflicting opinions on some of the fat falin art, where on one hand: it's always nice to see A Fat Body in fanart anywhere + it's being done in positive ways, for funsies and on the other hand, there is something so familiar about how you are automatically The Fat One if you are a woman simply standing next to a more petite woman, bc I've had a 0% hitrate in seeing people change Marcille's body type and keep Falin's, or change both of them. it's just Falin

It’s actually insane how fandom in general has become so scared of making weird and dark and ugly works. Like I look at myself and see how I have also subconsciously adapted this instinct to self censor and make things “marketable” and it’s making me want to crawl out of my skin. I need to get weirder and worse and more off-putting hello

#I need to write a proper Spectra&Gus meta bc it’s been cooking me how people don’t Want to see the insanity in them #argh #d0 stuff #negative #d0 smashes the keyboard #like yes #Gus’s devotion and loyalty are extreme and these feelings make him do stupid things that he is absolutely aware of being stupid #but let’s not pretend that these feelings go both ways in their relationship #Spectra (for like. the majority of the New Vestroia except the maybe last 12 eps?) sees Gus as a convenient tool #like Yeah he is like. a person and all that but Spectra doesn’t Interact with him when it doesn’t concern his business so #and also yes. he gives Gus a level of autonomy that one might not exactly expect from how usually these relationships go but #one Has to question if it’s bc of his goodwill or bc he is safe in his knowledge that Gus would never leave him #which. fun and sick and makes them sooo compelling #I would also argue that Spectra/Keith don’t even miss Gus when he ‘died’ as a person at first #but as the second pair of hands for work #like it was quite funny to see Spectra give instructions to air only to be reminded that his minion died #but it does rise the question of why hasn’t it happened before or in any other situation #(which I must say I really dig because yes. Spectra has always been centred around his ambitions so ofc this is where it would hurt first)#but yeah. sth sth Spectra only starts his journey of Actually giving a shit about Gus and acknowledging his importance to him as a person #by the end of nv #you could still argue it was partially (or maybe wholly) motivated by convenience that Gus presents but #it really was the first time Spectra has personally expressed his tie to Gus gah #all of this to say #they are sickos; each in their own way; and I think we can really make this more sinister and insane than we’ve allowed ourselves #throughout the years so far #like yeah. can I see them as a happy couple? sure! but also can I see this as a very codependent (more so from Gus’s angle) relationship #that’s being sprinkled with Tons of manipulation from Spectra? also yes #actually sorry for this wall of tags idk what got me thinking about them again #but it’s so so biting the bars day bc these guys are so fun!! we just have to let them be and maybe read canon through less good intentions #ok uhhh

#today's gone Badly and i'm upset but instead of venting abt it i'm gonna channel that energy into doing a bit of tag rambling abt Boothill #well. less abt Him and more abt uh. self-analyzing my anxiety surrounding contributing to fandoms. he's just today's catalyst #like. i know it's mostly a me thing. i'm hypersensitive to criticism and very conflict avoidant + socially anxious + perfectionistic etc.#so I'm the one that keeps myself from posting more stuff out of fear of being criticized or called-out for what i've made #bc inevitably Someone's gonna see it and think its OOC or a problematic take or they'll misread my intent. etc etc what have you #but like. that's inevitable. there's no way to communicate every single thing with all of the nuance required to avoid misunderstandings #and other times it's not a misunderstanding it's just a difference of opinions and that's Fine!! there's no accounting for personal taste #there's no accounting for several things actually. taste‚ bias‚ lore-knowledge‚ differing levels of chronic-online-ness‚ etc #so this isn't me complaining abt the state of fandom culture (although i do think. sometimes. ppl take shit a bit too seriously)#but anyways all of this is mostly just anxiety-fueled. it's not like i very often actually even receive negative feedback or anything #if anything ppl tend to tell me that i'm overthinking it and killing my own fun and worried that my stuff is more OOC than it is #which like. yeah. #Doodles #Original #Texture work is original sure lol #Went in hard on one of those Drawing Advice posts about ''Hey - literally just put pencil to paper and go no worries''#It was fun :D I Do still want to just doodle freely sometimes!#I still enjoy some structure to it so I ended making a grid of various like map-style textures to tell different biomes apart lol #But just general funsies scribbles were pretty good! I enjoyed the lot :)#S'good to just Make with abandon sometimes haha #I really like the hatching effect generally and it's something I want to improve at/implement more so the practice was nice there :)#Layering on paper/with only the one digital layer is always an interesting exercise in negative space and keeping things readable #I like drawing clouds with notably flat bottoms haha I think it's funny that they just sit there #I guess I'm used to cirrus clouds a lot so seeing cumulus big puffies with a clear delineation between bottom and the rest is just fun to me #They look like toys! Designed to sit! But they're just up there! How fun!#Squiggly branches/veins was something I did a tooon as a kid before I got into Drawing On Purpose y'know #Just pages and pages of branches on branches #And curls that curled away from each other - did a little bit of that with the circles and lines but not that much haha #I dunno if I still have any but it's interesting how that dwindled down to basically never over time #I definitely know what I prefer to draw these days but hmm still wonder a bit!#And loop-di-loops haha I was thinking of Erase quite a lot for that one honestly #And the way some Disney Princesses give autographs which one is it-#Belle! i honestly love my yellow as fuck and crooked as hell teeth, i love how when i wear my white facepaint they stand out even more and i make anyone who see's my face get redirected to my teeth thanks to the way i decorate myself with eyeliner and lipstick!!!!

that being said i realize how taken aback people are whenever i smile to them in a more normal setting where i'm not dressed as extravagant idk where im going with this

Whines bc im a few hours into my sleep and I'm not so nauseous now but my limbs...! My limbs, they ache...!!! And it's just all of them, the bone aches in all of them, so I feel like Peter Griffin Death Pose in this bed tonight

#rubbing my autistic hands together thinking of ways to make them compliment and contrast each other beyond what is presented in canon #loz #legend of zelda #phantom hourglass #link #linebeck #ok but. linebeck is like the best foil to link that i think exists in canon even more than ravio. unless i got them autism blinders on #if so lmk i'll still be thinking about link and linebeck being rlly good foils #okokok listen. a lot of their traits (most of links are implied but hear me out) contrast and can make up for the others #like yeah yeah linebeck's traits are typically portrayed as negative but they could have their uses if link's are taken to an extreme #like ive been thinkin abt linebeck w/ low empathy and link w/ high empathy and how that can work #link being much more willing to help others but linebeck being more capable of being more level-headed about it all #also their designs are like. kind of opposite to each other its great why not take it further huh its fun to think abt #im no character designer but like. link drawn with more circles and round shapes and soft angles vs #using more triangles and harsher angles and harder shapes for linebeck. do you see my vision here #like genuinely if you expand more on their traits and skillsets you've got a good duo that could compliment each other rlly well #this is absolutely delving into fanon but like. linebeck exists in ph a lot of the time to be used to show how cool n shit link is #the reverse doesnt really happen which sucks but it absolutely could #salty talks #im not good with the more technical parts of writing i'll admit so i may be a little off abt how character foils work #but i am thinking abt it here. as someone who writes and thinks about these two in tandem a lot

It really is like such an experience to feel like you should be shot in the streets like a rabid dog but like you still need to do the dishes and make appointments bc you're committed to seeing this through
