however, you have had your account for a single day, and everything about the injury mentioned is extremely vague and not able to be verified. for both of these reasons, i find it hard to believe that this isnt sympathy bait aka a huge scam.

if you are real? im extremely sorry for you, but there are extremely better ways to go about this! im not an expert on these things (followers, feel free to add places that donation posts like this do better/are more accepted, i know theres various subreddits for this aswell), but sending people asks on tumblr is really not a good way to do it, as most people will automatically assume youre a scam. following a blogger directly after sending these kinds of asks to them is also kind of suspicious ngl

Did you know you can report fake job offers to the Better Business Bureau?

They're not really clear on what a "fake job offer" is, but personally, if you're shown an ad or "job listing that might interest you" by a site like Glassdoor, and it doesn't seem to be real, I would consider that to be being "approached about a fake job offer."

Now, the company who posted the listing isn't the one that "approached" you, but the one running the website is. I wonder what would happen if the BBB started receiving a bunch of scam reports about all the fake job listings on those sites.

I received the ask then a follow. Already sus for multiple reasons but ok! Let's take a moment and investigate, maybe this person does need help, you never know. I checked the blog because I had time, and like. Very interesting results.

Their earliest reblog is 10 hrs ago, but you have to scroll to find that out.

They are all either Popular Tumblr Posts or Fandom Posts, but the Fandom Posts are never from the same one multiple times.

All of those reblogs were made around 10 hrs ago without any tags whatsoever, not even commentary.

The pinned help request cannot decide on the pronouns of their cat, as though they mixed and matched a copy-paste. (I'd at least expect an aside or a past post about your cat being bigender /hj)

Also they've never interacted with me before I mean that's a big one but I was focusing on the blog being an imitation first and foremost.

So to summarize, in the past ten hours, this blogger would have had to go "I just got a blog on Tumblr dot com! I will reblog bits and pieces of varying fandoms all at once because these are all my interests, but not enough for me to reblog about the same interest more than once over time. Oh No, My Cat Suddenly!"

Anyways yeah I guess just be careful, they don't expect anyone to think too hard about the blog being a hastily-painted front.

Why not both? For Kabbu, it would be, like... one of those cute animal blogs with a light sprinkling of social justice posts. He means well, and he's mainly on the site for cute animal videos and such - he has no clue that the vast majority of the site even exists. He has fallen for at least one of those fake hurt-cat phishing scams, if not more. Avatar is a terrible picture of himself that Vi took and made bad on purpose.

For Mothiva... corporate Tumblr. It's a repository of show information, PR stuff, and the occasional social-media-manager-powered "personal" post. She doesn't use it herself but she'll check it every once in a while to make sure that her scripts are consistent and everything's getting crossposted successfully. She has no personal social media except for a private vent Twitter.
