I wholeheartedly believe that the last thing that should be said in response to aspecs hating their identity is "don't worry! Aspecs can still do X, Y, and Z" and I'm so fucking serious about this.
The least helpful thing you can do to someone who have not accepted their aspec identity yet is give them ways to compensate for it. If an aspec person is upset over not being able to enter a romantic relationship, the last thing that should be done is to tell them they can still enter one or instead enter a QPR - not because that's not true but because that is quite literally going to stunt their ability to accept their aspec identity. Telling them they can instead enter a QPR when they're upset over the lack of romantic relationships is at MOST a bandaid for the main issue. Instead of them coming to accept their identity and accept who they are you have instead handed them an amatonormative alternative on a silver platter that allows them to pretend they still fit into amatonormativity without every deconstructing it. This is how we get QPRs getting shoved into an amatonormative framework - these people NEVER got over the "I'm sad that I'm aspec" phase because they were handed alternatives instead of given actual support in deconstructing their internalized aphobia, self hatred, and amatonormative biases.
#text#aspec#aro#aromantic#ace#asexual#aroace#I'm not saying that bringing up the fact that aspecs can still interact in certain ways to be Bad or Wrong btw#I'm not saying we shouldn't talk about how some aspecs have sex or some have partnerships or whatever#but more just that the only response to people complaining about certain issues shouldn't only be âOh but you can do xâ#someone who is mourning the fact they dont fit into amatonormativity shouldn't be told âoh but you can fit into amatonormativityâ#Like idk maybe there should be a discussion about how many people use favorability and partnering to avoid properly healing?#maybe there should be a discussion about how often people only accept aspec identities based on how closely they fit amatonormativity?#maybe there is a discussion about how other aspecs play into that and never actually leave their âsad to be aspecâ phase#the fact so many can only âacceptâ their aspec identity when they are told that they can still partake in amatonormativity#like idk i feel like discussions can be had here and i think these sorts of discussions need to be had#especially if we ever want to be on the same page when it comes to dismantling amatonormativity

Alright, since the idiot above keeps trying to tell me (a German who took advanced classes in history) what wing Nazis were... let's wrap this up.
Mr. "mustache man wouldn't lie to us" probably also believes that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a democratic republic and not... a dictatorship. But shockers! Totalitarian leaders are fully capable and willing to rebrand a term for propaganda purposes. In the case of the NSDAP, they rebranded the term "socialist" to gain the sympathies of the working class who were, at the time, struggling financially.
What this user is referring to is authoritarianism, not leftism. Notably, authoritarianism can occur independently from the "left vs right" political spectrum, as "authoritarianism vs libertarianism" is its very own political spectrum.
This is why infringements on your freedoms such as a ban on guns, free speech, and blind loyalty have nothing to do with being "left wing" or "right wing".
The core values of leftism are
(1)Â Freedom: Emancipating people from being held under forceful control, and giving them opportunities to exercise conscious choice over their lives without arbitrary constraints or coercion.
(2)Â Equality: Bringing about situations where people are of the same or similar standing in certain important respects, or by certain criteria of measurement.
(3)Â Justice: Ensuring that people are treated and provided for fairly, adequately, and correctly, according to their rightful due.
(4)Â Solidarity: Recognising the reciprocal bonds and shared purposes that tie people together, and their duties to support each other in their mutual common interest.
(5)Â Pluralism: Acknowledging that people are separate individuals who belong to various groups, and encouraging people to foster the many heterogeneous and incommensurable aspects of their identities.
(6)Â Progress: Pursuing the continuous onward advance of society by developing ever new and better ways to bring about improvements in peopleâs lives.
Source
Nazis incorporated NONE of that.
(1)Â Freedom: Nazis removed various freedoms from their citizens with the "Reichstagsbrandverordnung", overriding articles 114, 115, 117, 118, 123, 124 and 153 of the Weimar Republic. They restricted freedom of speech and speech, right to assembly, and the German "Briefgeheimnis" (privacy of letters), and enabled house searches.
(2)Â Equality: Nazis promoted a racial hierarchy with "Aryans" at the top. Gender roles were promoted, for example, through the establishment of the BDM which was separated from the general HJ.
(3)Â Justice: No justice or fairness without equality. See the point above.
(4)Â Solidarity: Nazis systematically excluded groups they deemed "unworthy". Exclusionary solidarity is not solidarity, otherwise nepotism and corruption would count as "solidarity" among capitalists.
(5)Â Pluralism: Nazis imposed a homogenous state identity upon all its citizens and purged all those who did not fit that standard. Not only did this logic apply to ethnic groups but also to sexualities, gender identities, disabilities, political affiliations, ...
(6)Â Progress: Now, read all of the above again and try telling me Nazis were "progressive".
For further comparisons between leftist and Nazi values, check out the following post.
Huh. Funny. So you are telling me that IN SPITE of Mustache Man believing Communism (and by extension Socialism) to be a Jewish conspiracy, he rejected both. The WHY DID HE PROMOTE IT? Seeing the error?
Quite obviously, "Socialism" meant something different to Mustache Man than to modern Socialists. In other words, Hitler never intended to practice Socialism and DEFINITELY not in the way we know it.
Side notes:
Excessive use of "..." it sounds like you are an edgy 14-year-old who is desperately trying to sound cool
Trump is about to run the US economy into the dirt because Capitalism is just as fucking stupid as Communism; mixed models so far have achieved the best results in maintaining high living standards among the entire population
I couldn't have said it better myself.
#far right idiots desperately trying to cut their nazi association#and failing#because they fell for nazi propaganda of all things#isn't it ironic?

PHANNIE COOKBOOK SIGN-UPS!!
Do you have a really good recipe you think Dan and Phil would enjoy? Consider submitting it to this collaborative phannie cookbook that will be given to DnP at a meet & greet! It will also be available to everyone to download as a PDF.
Family recipes or your favourite dish from your country/culture is a bonus, but it doesnât have to be that personal. All I ask is that you donât go rip something random off the Internet right now just to be in the book, I want food you genuinely enjoy!
Iâve decided the most efficient way of doing this is to let you submit up to 3 different options, that way if there are any repeats (and Iâm certain there will be) I wonât have to message everyone it concerns to ask if you have any alternatives. Besides, that way I can choose which version gets in based on your other options rather than which one âsounds betterâ to me, cause I think that would be a little unfair. I also have no idea how many people will actually participate in this yet, which is currently the biggest hurdle in terms of planning. If only a few sign up there is a chance weâll end up using multiple recipes by some, and if somehow we get too many Iâll have to pick and choose. I do really want to include as many people as possible, but until I actually see the recipes itâs hard to tell what will end up happening.
The main focus of this will be actual food, but we obviously need to include a few desserts, so feel free to submit those as well just be aware the chances of those getting picked might be lower. The same goes for soups, I assume a lot of people have soup recipes and we might include a couple, but for obvious reasons it's a low priority.
Some key things to keep in mind:
Phil is a bit picky and has some dietary restrictions! He shouldnât have dairy or chocolate and he doesnât like cheese or mushrooms, among other things. That doesnât mean you have to avoid these things entirely, but maybe your grandmaâs mac and cheese recipe isnât the best choice
While neither of them is vegan they do eat a lot of vegan food, so we definitely need some vegan dishes. I also think it would be really great if you suggested vegetarian and/or vegan substitutions you know work well with your recipe! That isnât a must for every dish, but itâs a nice addition where possible
Tragically, Dan and Phil are British, meaning they wonât necessarily have access to all the same ingredients as you. Luckily they are also rich and live in a major city with a lot of options so they arenât limited to what they can find at their local Tesco, but since the aim of this book is to encourage them to cook we probably shouldnât be sending them on a scavenger hunt either. I donât think this will be a huge issue, but if your recipe calls for something you think might be very niche or local to you it might be worth googling it or asking around
The final book will be using UK measurements, but if your recipe doesnât then donât even worry about it for now. Weâll get to that later. You also donât have to worry about typing out the whole step-by-step in detail in the sign-up form, I just need a list of the ingredients and roughly how to prepare it to gauge whether itâs a good fit.
I promise Iâm almost done yapping but lastly, about some of the questions on the form - you donât need to know exactly how long the dish takes to prepare, that will depend on the person or people making it anyway, but we do need a rough estimate. The difficulty level is obviously quite subjective, but I just want to hear how you personally would rank it, and if there is a specific part of the process you think someone who doesnât cook a lot might struggle with. As for the last question about photos, Iâm asking both if you have the time and opportunity to make the food and if you are able to take a good photo of it. Obviously it doesnât have to be anything professional, a phone camera is fine, it just needs to be well lit and decent quality.
Okay, I think thatâs everything-
Here's the sign-up form
The deadline is in a week, at midnight Thursday to Friday CET :)
(I also made a blog for this @phookbook for information and updates! A lot of it will probably still be on this blog, but I'll try to post/reblog the most important things on there for those who want to keep up with everything but who may not want to deal with all the chaos of pseudophan)

Davrin's past and his Dalish clan and his vallaslin (all mentions I could find)
So much in the game is hidden behind banters between companions (which is ahhhh a bit annoying) so I compiled all the banter and information I found about Davrin's past.
Not really plot spoilers, just Davrin spoilers.
At the end I will summarize everything in a bullepoints list.
Bellara and Davrin banter:
Text here (link)
There are also a few other banters I did not record where it is implied Davrin does not care about the gods or some other late game revelations. The only thing he cares about (and mentions again later in game, in a main scene) is how people see Dalish and elves, and how to minimize the risk of humans hating elves even more.
Taash and Davrin's banter (text in description for each image)
Davrin's quests information:
Here are other mentions from Davrin first quest: Rook: How did it go? Davrin: Poorly. They felt like I rejected them. Rook: Did you? Davrin: Yeah, I suppose. Clan life wasn't for me. I had to get away. Rook: So then what happened? You're out in the world, looking for adventure⊠Davrin: Got my ass kicked. Went broke. Davrin: I couldn't go crawling back to my clan a failure. Doubt they'd take me back. It forced me to figure out what I was good at. Always had a knack for hunting.
Other info we get from the Halla quest is that: Davrin spent summers tending Halla as a kid alongside Eldrin, who is not his uncle, but like an uncle. So this is a case of Davrin wanting to spend time with Hallas, or being made to by his clan. Eldrin's vallaslin is Ghilan'nain:
So it could be that Davrin's new vallaslin might be Ghilan'nain too. But I think it is Andruil's or a mix of the two.
Davrin could have gotten the vallaslin to honor Eldrin (we know he is the only member of his clan - if he is part of his clan - Davrin has no trouble contacting, even if they seem to have not met each other's in a while). But we also know Davrin was a hunter.
Eldrin was also the one who taught Davrin what to hunt basically. In his first quest Davrin says "When I was a kid, I'd hunt just about anything. Rabbits, deer, fox. Eldrin gave that purpose. Taught me the Way of Three Trees. The Way of the Arrow, Way of the Bow, Way of the Wood."
This is from Andruil and if we look at all three vallaslin:
Emmrich and Davrin:
(they have some discussions about Davrin not believing in the Fade or liking it, this is the one which mentions the Dalish clan)
There are also a few other banters at the Lighthouse that mention the Fade and the sky. Mainly they are about Davrin being uncomfortable with the open space and stuff about him disbelieving the Fade: "Good. Because it's not the sky. Emmrich says it's the Fade. Me, I don't know what to think."
Final banter with Davrin:
So basically, the summary of what we know for certain is:
Davrin left his clan voluntarily because he felt restless, he did not care about tradition and lessons, and he wanted to see the world
He felt like he did not fit in his clan since he was a kid
He was also hunting everything he could find until Eldrin taught him the way of the Three Trees and to protect life by hunting darkness (monsters)
Eldrin is like an uncle for him and lives isolated (unsure if he is part of Davrin's clan) and Davrin used to spend summers helping him with the hallas
Davrin feels like he pissed off his clan, he rejected them and both Davrin and Bellara agree it would be hard for him to go back
In another dialogue, he says he actually did not think the clan would take him back at all even if he crawled back asking for help ("Like a failure" he says)
He does not regret joining the Grey Wardens and looking for adventures, but he seems to regret that came at the cost of leaving the clan and not being able to return or keep in contact with them
Also, he says the outside world was different from what he imagined

People seem to have forgotten/never learned the old rules of the internet. One of the primary tenets was:
Lurk moar
Before engaging in an online community, take some time reading other people's posts without commenting. How do people talk to each other? What are the main ways people interact? Can you spot different etiquette in different situations/sections of the site? When people interact, can you tell if it's a casual relationship? Can you tell when people are friends, or strangers? Can you see if people have been in the community a long time? How do they act towards others? Can you spot when someone is being rude or disrespectful? How does the rest of the community react to certain behaviours? Try to figure out what attitudes and conduct are frowned upon. This is a skill that is required very much 'irl', but don't let the anonymity of the internet lull you into poor conduct - you are still interacting with real people and those people are still deserving of politeness and consideration. If you'd like to make friends and participate in online spaces, you do need to make the effort to fit into those spaces, out of respect to your peers.
there are no hard rules for human interaction but honestly i think everyone online would benefit hugely from operating under the assumption that, unless you have been given a specific reason to think otherwise in discrete instances, internet strangers do not want to be approached with:
your trauma, illnesses, or deep-rooted self worth issues
any come-ons or sexual content
over-familiar playful rudeness
information about your dnd characters/ocs
disagreements with their harmless subjective opinions
if it is your first time speaking with someone i can not highly enough recommend that these do not be your opening topics
#we all have to make our way though life through trial and error#but there's only so many errors people will forgive#and only so much error you can feel entitled to before you are being rude#your good intentions will sometimes not be enough if you offend or hurt someone out of ignorance#you will not curate a good online experience for yourself if you do not learn how to respect others in the same space as you

thereâs been no way for me to say (that i felt a certain way)
Synopsis: natasha romanoff has loved you for ages and she could never seem to get it right.
pairings: natasha romanoff x reader
genre: college AU, fluff and angst.
warnings: angst?
please do not repost my work anywhere for any reason at all. if you do see this happen to any of my stories, please let me know. thank you x.
natasha met you in a very peculiar way.
it started at a friends of a friends party, in some internet starletâs brooklyn loft.
drinks were going around, the music was loud, the smell of marijuana was very strong. she doesnât quite remember itâ after having been to a bunch of parties they all seem to blur into oneâ but she knows it was enough to leave a lasting impression on her.
sheâd heard your piercing laugh from across the room. you, in a tight tank top and some black slacks. she could see the shine of sweat against your skin, the colorful lighting of the room making you seem so beautifully human.
everything sort of froze in the coming moments. she watched as you took your top off without a second thought. you were about to shotgun a beer and you stood tall as you did it atop the kitchen island. you didnât need the attention, nor did you want it, but you had it.
it was a simple behavior. but it stayed with natasha long after you had crushed the beer can and tossed it on the floor somewhere.
natasha thinks you never notice her staring for the rest of the night but you do.
weeks later she sees you again at another party.
clint, wanda, tony and everyone else joins her this time. she isnât surprised when she sees you. it was the same crowd, similar friend groups. but this time you made it easy for her to approach you.
somehow you end standing next to eachother near where all the drinks had been laid out.
"hey," you said, voice casual but warm. "didnât expect to see you here again."
natasha smiled, though she hadnât expected to talk to you at all. nor did she think you noticed her. "i guess we have similar taste in parties."
you laughed lightly. âguess so."
there was a beat of silence before you added, âyou know, you were kinda staring at me last time.â
natasha froze for a second, unsure how to respond. she hadnât thought youâd noticed. but before she could stammer out an excuse, you were already grinning.
âiâm just messing with you. it was funny. i didnât think anyone would care enough to notice me.â
natasha was relieved, yet still unsure if you were actually joking. either way she felt this was going better than she planned.
the night wore on and you guys carried easy conversation. natasha was still unsure how to even approach talking to you. she felt kind of shy. so she improvised by making references to things she didnât think youâd get, but you almost always did.
you dropped a reference to something obscure, a movie natasha had once obsessed over, and natasha stared at you for a moment longer than was socially acceptable. she couldnât stop herself.
âyouâre really into that, huh?â she said, and just like that, the bond started to form. it wasnât immediate or instant, not the kind of connection that screams âbest friends forever.â no, it was something stranger, something subtler, like two different puzzle pieces that had almost fit, only to get pushed back together by sheer happenstance.
âyour references are spot on.â you laughed. natasha smiled at how easy you made it for her to be around you.
you and natasha started seeing each other more, slowly building this weird, unspoken routine. sheâd text you at random, making some kind of sarcastic comment or joke only you would get, and youâd shoot back a meme that only someone with your specific sense of humor would understand. over time, you both ended up in the same circles, passing each other in the hallways of the university, at class, at partiesâalways just a little bit more than acquaintances, but never quite crossing into the territory of âbest friends.â
there was something comfortable about it. easy, even. but for natasha, it was also strange. the more she saw you, the more she felt like there was something else there, something neither of you wanted to acknowledge. maybe it was a crush. maybe it was more than that.
it wasnât as though either of you had been completely oblivious to the passing of time, to the fact that you were both growing older, moving through college with the same bittersweetness that everyone else felt. and yet, there was still this distance between you, an unspoken barrier that neither of you had broken down.
natasha thought about you a lot more than sheâd like to admit. how she so badly wanted to cross the line between friendship and something more.
by senior year, natasha couldnât ignore it anymore. her feelings for you werenât just fleeting glances or passing thoughts. they were there, constant, sitting beneath her skin, running through her mind like a song she couldnât shake. but it wasnât just a crush. it was more. she could feel it. she knew it.
the desperation kept getting worse.
it was a slow burn.
you were months set from graduating, natasha felt it was time sheâd try to test her luck.
it was late into the evening at yet another partyâmusic blaring, laughter echoing through the crowded living room, and cups of cheap beer littering the tables. one last semester before graduation, before the "real world" set in. natasha was sitting on the couch, leaning against the back with her legs stretched out in front of her. her eyes roamed the room, scanning for someone to talk to. and then she saw you.
you were in the middle of a conversation with clint and wanda, your hands animatedly gesturing as you told some wild story about a disastrous trip to the beach, the kind of tale that had everyone in stitches. natasha couldnât help but smile from across the room. there was something magnetic about youâhow you lived so fully, how you pulled everyone into your orbit without even trying. natasha had been watching you for months now, always on the edge of your space, always wishing she could be more than just a silent observer.
she didnât know when it startedâwhen the simple admiration had turned into something else. but now, as she watched you laugh with your friends, something in her chest tightened. this wasnât a crush she could just ignore.
it wasnât the first time natasha had thought about asking you out. but tonight felt different. maybe it was the proximity of graduation, the sudden realization that this was itâthat you both were on the brink of leaving behind this chaotic, unmoored time in your lives. she could either stay on the sidelines or take the chance.
she stood up, smoothing out her jacket and walking across the room. her friendsâclint, wanda, and samânoticed her approaching and exchanged knowing glances, all but daring her to make a move. natasha could feel the weight of their stares, but she ignored them. she focused only on you.
"hey," she said, stepping into the conversation, a little breathless from the nerves sheâd kept hidden.
you turned, giving her that warm smile you always did. "hey, nat! whatâs up?"
"not much, just wanted to, uh, ask you something," natasha began, her usual confidence faltering just a little.
âi was thinking about heading to this bar later, just to get away from all⊠this,â she gestured vaguely to the party around them, âand i was wondering if you wanted to join me? for drinks. just us. you know, before we all get caught up in the whole graduation mess.â
it was casual, maybe too casual. but natasha didnât want to make it seem like a big deal. not with everyone watching.
there was a pause, just a beat too long, before you looked at her, a faint frown pulling at your brow. you were processing. âuh,â you hesitated, glancing at your friends.
clint, wanda, and sam all turned their heads at the same time, giving you the slightest raise of their brows. you bit your lip, clearly unsure, and natashaâs heart sank a little at the hesitation.
"i mean," you said slowly, looking back at natasha. "weâre friends, nat. i just⊠iâm not sure."
it was a gentle rejection, but it stung all the same. natasha swallowed, masking her disappointment with a shrug. "no, yeah, of course. no pressure." she let out a quiet laugh, her hand rubbing the back of her neck, trying to laugh it off. "i was just messing with you. don't worry about it."
you nodded, a small, apologetic smile on your lips. "i mean, iâd love to hang out more, justâ"
"totally fine," natasha interrupted, her voice light but edged with something that made her own heart ache. she smiled, keeping it neutral. "maybe some other time."
she turned away quickly, but she felt your eyes on her as she walked back to the couch, her friends watching the entire scene unfold. clint raised his brows, and natasha just shook her head, not wanting to give them the satisfaction of knowing how deeply that small exchange had affected her.
but inside, it stung. it stung more than she cared to admit. it wasnât just a small rejection. it was the fear that maybe you had noticed her feelings all along and were just too scared to say anything about it.
that night, natasha tried to sleep, but her thoughts wouldnât stop racing. you were everything she had wanted, but in this strange, liminal space, neither of you had been brave enough to admit it.
weeks passed, the semester came to an end, and graduation day loomed on the horizon. natasha and you both moved on in your own ways, starting to make plans for life after college. but something lingered. something unsaid. life became a little more faster, and faces got a little older.
you reached out to her a few times. it was never the same as before. it was different now, with this strange tension lingering between you both. but you kept in touch, as if you both were afraid of letting go of something that might have been, something that might have still been.
and maybe it was ridiculous, natasha thought, but she was okay with it. she had loved you for years, and maybe that was the most honest thing she could admit to herself.
because even if you two had never been the closest of people, youâd always been there. always in the background, always in between. and somehow, that was enough for natasha. enough for her to hold on to the hope that maybe, one day, youâd both be able to finally figure it out.
it had been two years since you both left the university. two years where natasha had started a career in marketing, constantly moving up, climbing the corporate ladder while trying (and failing) to suppress the things she didnât want to feel about you. she had dated, of course. a couple of short-term relationships, nothing serious. but nothing had ever lasted, and she had never quite understood why until now. the answer had always been there, hovering just out of reach, in the form of a text, a call, a passing thought about you.
as for you, youâd moved across the country for a job in graphic design. you didnât think much about natasha at first. life had been busyânew city, new friends, new routineâbut every now and then, you'd wonder if she'd thought of you. if she remembered how everything had felt when you were both on the brink of something, but never quite dared to cross the line.
and then it happened.
it wasnât planned. it wasnât expected. but one saturday evening, natasha found herself sitting at a bar in brooklyn after a long week at work. sheâd had a rough day. one of those days where everything felt like too much. and then, as she nursed her gin and tonic, she heard someone call her name.
it was a voice she hadnât heard in what felt like forever.
ânatasha?â
she turned, already recognizing the voice before she even saw your face. and there you were, standing in the doorway of the bar like a memory coming to life. your hair had grown a little longer, and you looked different, older in a way that made Natashaâs heart skip a beat. but you were still youâthe same you who had been in those parties, those late-night study sessions, the one who had always made her laugh with a look or a passing reference.
for a moment, neither of you said anything. just stood there, eyes locking, as if trying to figure out whether this was real.
âi didnât know you were in new york,â natasha said, her voice betraying the sudden weight in her chest. she couldnât keep the smile from forming, even though she tried.
âi wasnât planning on being,â you said, grinning. âwork sent me here for a few weeks. i was meeting some friends, but itâs been a while, so i thought iâd just see if you were around.â
it wasnât exactly casual. but you both knew it wasnât entirely random, either. it felt like fate had decided that you two were finally going to do this.
you sat down, and the conversation flowed as naturally as it always had. the awkwardness of the past melted away. you didnât need to pretend anymore. there were no more games, no more hesitations.
just you and natasha, picking up where you left off, though this time, the space between you felt a little different. there was an understanding now, a quiet knowing in the way you both spoke, a recognition that time had done its job.
âsoâŠhowâs life?â natasha asked, pushing her drink aside and leaning in a little closer.
you shrugged, but there was something different about you too, something less guarded. âitâs been alright. busy. but you know how that goes. iâve been thinking about home, though. aboutââ you paused, then looked directly at natasha. âabout people i should have kept in touch with.â
natashaâs heart was thudding in her chest, but she kept it together. she was a master of hiding emotions, after all. âyeah?â she asked, her voice softer now.
âyeah,â you said, with a smile that made natashaâs stomach flutter. âitâs funny how things work out. you donât realize what you miss until youâre standing in front of it again.â
time had always been a strange thing between natasha and youâsomething both distant and close at the same time, like a thread that wound its way through your lives, never quite snapping, always lingering. youâd known each other for years, seen each other at parties, shared quiet moments, and laughed at the same jokes. but all that time, there had always been a hesitation. a space between the two of you, filled with somethingâsomething both of you had been aware of but had never dared to name.
it was the kind of thing that was easier to ignore in college, easier to pretend it wasnât there while you were both busy with classes, with your lives, with the thrill of being young and not yet knowing what you wanted out of the world.
but that something between you had always been there, pulling at both of you, quiet but undeniable. the way you caught each otherâs eyes a little too long. the way your conversations turned into something more meaningful without either of you intending it. the way natasha would see you at parties and catch her breath for just a moment. the way youâd smile, as if you both knew, but neither of you was brave enough to act on it.
youâd both dated people. tried relationships. but it had never lasted, had it? there was always that nagging feeling in the back of your mindâsomething missing, something not quite right. as if your lives couldnât fit together because they werenât ready to yet. you didnât have the words for it, and neither did natasha. but you both knew. you always knew.
the things that had once seemed complicatedâlife, timing, fearâsuddenly didnât feel as big as they once had. there was a quiet honesty between you now, as if you both had grown enough to stop pretending you didnât feel it. the awkwardness, the hesitation, the âmaybeâ that had been there before was gone.
it was you. it had always been you. and you knew it too.
âso,â natasha said after a beat, her voice softer now, quieter than before. âwhat are we doing here, really? weâre not strangers. weâve known each other for, what, almost four years now?â
you looked at her, your lips curling into a smile that didnât hide the tension in your gaze. âweâve known each other longer than that,â you said. âweâve always known.â
âi think iâve always been afraid of this,â natasha admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. âafraid that iâd say the wrong thing, or that it would mess things up between us. that maybe the timing was never going to be right.â
you nodded slowly. âiâve been afraid of that too.â you paused, then added with a wry smile, âi was never good with timing.â
âmaybe we donât need perfect timing,â natasha said softly, her gaze meeting yours with something she hadnât let herself feel beforeâa quiet certainty. âmaybe itâs just the right time now. after all this time.â
you didnât answer right away. you didnât have to. instead, you reached across the bar, your hand brushing gently against hers, and just like that, it all clicked. there was no more hesitation. no more waiting. you both knew what this was, what it always had been.
âyeah,â you said, your voice low and certain. âi think youâre right.â
and that was it.

18+ smut
the way your ass moved in that skirt was the most sinful thing lorenzo had seen in his life. his darkened eyes were watching your every move with the intensity of a true snake, burning invisible holes thorough your body wherever they went. his demeanor was as nonchalant as ever, though, his legs spread wide on the bed, his hands clasped on his stomach. the grey sweatpants he was wearing did absolutely nothing to hide a visible bulge at the front, throbbing every few seconds underneath the thin fabric.
you were completely oblivious to his growing arousal, covering your lips with another layer of shiny lipgloss. lorenzo bit the inside of his cheek, his own lips already curled up in a smirk, and moved one of his hands down his body. his palm rested on top of his clothed erection, slowly moving up and down, which made his cock twitch even more. the way your lips shone in the bright lights coming from your vanity mirror made him imagine all the different ways he could make them shine from other things.
you smacked your lips together, evenly spreading out the gloss. the sounds went straight down south for lorenzo, whose hand was already slipping into his sweats.
"come to bed," he murmured, his voice smug as usual, but with a certain huskiness to it that immediately let you know what kind of thoughts were running through his head. you turned around, your eyebrow quirking up at the sight opening up to your eyes â lorenzoâs hand clearly moving, covered by the grey fabric of the only item of clothing on his body.
"well, babe, iâm going out," you answered, your voice filled with amusement and a hint of desire â it had never failed to arouse you just how much your mere existence could turn your boyfriend on. but then again, he was turned on nearly 24/7, the feeling only heightened by you being close â in this case, in the same room.
"donât give a shit, honey,â lorenzo murmured, his hand lazily pumping and smearing precum all over his aching length. "shouldnâtâve put this goddamn lipgloss on, baby. because the way it looks on you makes me think youâve been planning this all along."
"no idea what youâre talking about, enz," you drawled, your voice a sing-song picture of innocence. however, the slow steps you were taking towards him were anything but. stopping right at the foot of the bed, you looked down at your boyfriend, your eyes eating up the entirety of his body and stopping right where his hand was still moving, the sweats revealing exactly what was happening underneath.
lorenzo smirked, noticing exactly where your gaze lingered, and it only fueled him to continue. if he knew you well, and he did, he really did, youâd give in right aboutâŠ
his train of thought was interrupted by the mattress shifting slightly under your weight as you climbed onto the bed. his legs were already wide open, creating a perfect spot for you to fit right between them. your hand slowly, teasingly moved up his thigh, reaching his moving hand and pushing it away, all action coming to a halt. he removed it without questions, tucking his arms under his head and sinking into the pillow, watching you pulling his sweatpants down with that same smirk that never seemed to leave his lips.
now.
the tip of lorenzoâs cock was suddenly wrapped up in the warmth of your mouth, eliciting a breathy âfuckâ from him. your tongue swirled around, collecting the salty precum and dropping it onto his length in a thick blob, mixed with your saliva. your head lowered, taking him whole, inch by inch, until the back of your throat wasnât so empty anymore.
"so eager, huh?" he murmured, the small sound of you gagging sending a pleasant vibration through his body. you looked up, meeting his sly stare with your eyes, and the sight of you in this position, with your shiny lips encircling his member almost made him cum on the spot. of course, he didnât show it, only giving you a somewhat breathless chuckle as you started bobbing your head up and down.
traces of your gloss smeared all over his heated flesh as you sucked him off like he was the tastiest lollipop youâd ever had. lorenzo never strayed away from watching you, only sometimes glancing up to your ass, stuck out in the air in that delicious-looking short skirt that swayed each time you fully shoved yourself onto his cock. when your tongue started helping in bringing him to the peak of pleasure, lorenzoâs hips twitched and a gasp escaped him, signaling that his orgasm was getting closer and closer.
half a minute later, you sat up on your knees, your tongue swiping along your bottom lip to collect every last drop of white coating it. enzo watched you with a heated, yet irritatingly smug look, not bothering to pull his sweatpants up just yet.
"fix your makeup," he said with a chuckle, his tongue rolling against the inside of his cheek. "although, i do have to say, baby, that i much prefer you with this kinda gloss."

SKZ Pack Chapter 2
Trigger warnings: angst
Being mated to a head alpha was something special. It was symbolic in the way that you became one. Not one with him, but also one with the pack. It meant you had earned your right as their omega, as their mate. The mark was as important as having intercourse with that person. The mark symbolised their love and care for you, along with ownership. The power of that werewolf becomes transcribed into your veins, re-writing your whole DNA. It was powerful, but the act of mating was even more powerful. It was the combining of two souls into one. It was the union of bringing two people together. The traditional way was the head alpha would present himself to you and offer you into his nest that was newly decorated. The head alpha would ask for your approval and ask you to scent in the room, to make yourself as comfortable as possible. The head alpha would then lie you on the bed preparing you in a way he fitted before he did the act. While he mated you, the head alpha would mark you in a way that called to them before releasing their seed, locking your souls together. Once the bond was sealed the head alpha would allow the other wolves to become actively involved with you and may too mate with you when they are ready. That's what the elders taught you in werewolf school anyway, but for Y/N it was a little bit different back then. Not by much but she did mate with her old head alpha first. This was the reason Y/N started to get more emotional. Y/N felt more anxious, more detached, she even felt lost to a certain extent. Lost in the pack. It didn't help that Jisung marked her the other day.
Jisung's second accident posed a slight problem that day. It started off as a sweet day with him and Y/N spent the day together, binge-watching a series together. As you do, you move onto each other, and then a kiss happens. A kiss that got quite heated. Jisung was feeling needy but knew he had to tread carefully because of his last mistake but he had this need to please his omega so he did. Jisung had started off with his hands in her joggers teasing her but he still couldn't quite get the hang of it because he could smell the other members around. In the end, Y/N agreed to let him grind on her if he kept his boxers on which helped massively for Jisung as he got her to cum and made himself cum, but he ended up biting her during his release which scared the crap out of him and an angry Felix scolding him. Much to Y/N's surprise Chan was completely fine about it or that's what he said anyway, but Y/N felt there was much more to it. He too was getting agitated that she was unclaimed and he was willing to risk Jeongin to do it correctly.
As the days went on Y/N was starting to get more emotional and Chan could feel it. She came to his room and spent less time each day, especially when he mentioned Jeongin. She did want Jeongin but she wanted her head alpha first, she craved him badly but his leg wasn't healing and it had gotten infected that Jaehee had to give him some strong antibiotics and once they settled she would have to re-break his leg so it would heal correctly, which to Jisung's amusement was hilarious at the thought of his alpha having his leg broken. Jisung was scolded by Chan with a snarky comment that he could re-break his leg for biting Y/N. As much as Y/N wanted to laugh she couldn't. Everything in the house was so unsettled for various reasons and she didn't like it so she asked Jeongin to call a meeting after everyone was finished with their duties.
Jeongin would lead the meeting as he was nominated to take over Chan with Minho until he was better. It annoyed Y/N that Hyunjin was being pushed out but he assured her several times he did not mind and he knew Chan needed time as they all did, which was why they needed to clear the air once and for all. They needed to put this right and allow everyone to have their own chance to voice their opinion regardless of the others. "Right, so, um. I wanted to talk to you all because, Y/N is right, there is a lot of tension and upset in the room that we are not addressing and I wanted to talk about it because Chan is upstairs in pain and needs to focus on healing but he can't if he knows where all pissed off at each other." Jeongin stared as he stood in the middle of the living room awkwardly. It was new to him to take the lead. "What I did want to state is despite how we feel about that night. Hyunjin, Y/N and Seungmin risked their lives. They could have died and if they did it would be a different conversation and we all would have had massive regrets about our actions so we need to draw the line today. Things are going to be different because we have an omega now, our mate who we have to love and care for. Things are different even for her, let's remember how she didn't even know how to make a nest, that was hard for her, let alone for her to trust us, but we were patient. Think about the first day, we didn't know she existed. We didn't know she was going to arrive and it was hard but we got through it, like we did when we took Hyunjin in. We got through it and we will get through it again." Jeongin stated.
The wolves nodded, listening to Jeongin's words. It was all different for them. They were used to being eight and not having to worry about having an omega. They were used to going about their day until everything shifted far too quickly. "Can I say something?" Felix asked, nervously, breaking the thick silence. "I want you all to say something anyway so go ahead," Seungmin stated. "I am grateful to you guys, honestly, I am and I am sorry I was a coward that day. I don't have it in me. It felt sick for what I did to San. I can't do it again." Felix said honestly as he looked at them, giving Y/N an apologetic smile as Changbin held her hand. "No one's blaming you. It is alright." Hyunjin whispered. "Thank you. What I do want is for everyone to be fine. I know it won't happen overnight but I want us to make more of an effort." Felix added. "Alright, I'll speak. I want everyone to get along, that is all. Hyunjin is still our alpha regardless and we know now that he had his reasons. He is our friend, our brother and our alpha so let's all work on that." Changbin stated which Hyunjin appreciated. "Nothing else?" Jeongin asked. "Unless I'm a terrible mate? No." Changbin added.
Seungmin was next and stressed his lack of communication skills within the pack was causing problems. He admitted the secrecy with Minho and Jeongin was unfair and it left problems for Y/N and Hyunjin who felt they had to do something. Jeongin and Minho accepted that answer and promised to be more communicative. Jisung apologised for his defiance and messing up every so often but admitted his insecurity of feeling abandoned and rejected, which was why he thinks he felt the need to mark Y/N. Y/N felt sad heading Jisung's story and knew there was more to it but said nothing as she knew it wasn't the time. Hyunjin too spoke and apologised for his cowardness and will repent for his actions, but reminded his wolves he was their alpha and that wasn't found to change. "Hyung?" Felix nudged Minho who was staring at the floor. "Yeah. Um. I want everyone to be happier." Minho whispered. "Hyung, come on. Everyone else has said their issues." Seungmin said. It was unfair if he didn't speak. "What? What do you want me to say? I don't have problems with any of you. The rest is between me and Y/N which is being resolved." Minho growled, but the truth was Minho didn't like confrontation. He actually wanted to speak to Y/N privately and resolve it away from interference. "A thank you would have been nice. I almost got fried by some weird ass fog." Seungmin growled as he wanted some form of gratitude from the stubborn elder. "Thank you for stupidly following an OMEGA to your death. Ya, if she told you to sacrifice yourself would you?" Minho chided. His words made Y/N feel stupid and low but she had to accept it, this was meant to be uncomfortable for all of them. "Maybe. Depends on what it was for, but in all honesty, she was the one who was prepared to die. Think about that." Seungmin growled. "Yeah, and we're left to pick up the pieces," Minho grumbled, but in truth, Minho felt guilty when he found the note. He hadn't expected them to leave and tackle it alone. Minho was the one who panicked the most where as Jeongin was the one who was angry at the time.
"Why don't we let Y/Nssi speak? She's allowed to say how she feels about us too."Â Felix added, but Y/N waved them off. She didn't know what to say at this point but hoped they could move on, but still, Jeongin wanted her to. Jeongin crouched down in front of her as he took her hand in his, trying to urge but she dismissed him. "Ignore Minho hyung. Why don't you tell us how you feel about us? Please, it would help us." Jeongin pleaded. "I promise everything is fine with me. I want everyone to be happy and to get along. I want you to stop blaming each other and be yourselves." Y/N explained but Jeongin shook his head, she was avoiding a particular topic. She wasn't stating how she felt about them. "What about us? Do you feel happy with us? Content? Satisfied?" Jeongin asked. "I think so," Y/N whispered as she looked up at the creme ceiling. She didn't want to think about this. She didn't want to disappoint them and say she felt lost with them. She didn't want to say she felt useless. She didn't want to say she felt rejected. "Baby, don't cry. Tell us." Jeongin urged, wiping her tears that she didn't know had fallen down. "I feel lost. I think after everything that happened with Ateez I felt lost when they left, like I don't know who I am. I feel like I don't belong here or I'm being rejected I don't know why. I want to be loved but I don't know how." Y/N admitted. "Take all the time that you need. None of us is ever going to pressure you into anything. We will go at any pace you set for us." Changbin promised. "I agree but I want you to think about what Chan said, but I also want you to know. I will never force you to ever do it with me. Ever."

OooHOOOHOO
Man
Copy pasting my thoughts from my ramble at the friend who showed this post to me because I'm satisfied with the way I put them. Spoiler warning for wof arc 1 below
How does this work? Does she know the prophecy is fake from the moment Morrowseer visits the cave to observe the dragonets? Maybe he wasnât thinking about it well enough for her to realize he doesnât believe the prophecy - âhmmmâŠ. This one isnât good enough. This one will work better. This one will accomplish the need very effectively-â could all be interpreted as someone who doesnât trust in fate to do itâs own work. Maybe this annoys her, but the truth doesnât register.
Or does she deny obvious âlol this thing isnât realâ thoughts with the certainty that heâs wrong. And maybe she hates him because of it right off the bat - though she might not tell the others exactly why beyond a potential cryptic âhe doesnât even know what heâs talking about!â To which she gets the average response of âlol alright Sunny. Anyway I want to punt him into the sky because he hates Gloryâ - !!! Right - iirc, Morrowseer tells the guardians to kill her, but to the side where the dod donât hear him. (Canât check atm cause cat on lap). Maybe Sunny gets all bolt-upright-shock at a certain point and starts frantically trying to convince everyone that Glory is in danger the second he leaves, before anything is overheard. They maybe think sheâs overreacting, that of course he hates me Sunny Iâm a rainwing and yeah but they wouldnât go that far haha - but eventually the conversation is overheard and they all realize the truth and the escape kicks off (with the difference of Sunny being in on it this time - unless they maybe still think she might accidentally let something slip).
Also - the moment in the tunnel with Morrowseer fits a little too well to change at all. He opens his mouth to gloat, to tell them all the truth, and no, no, no! Sheâs pleading for him to stop before he speaks a word because she knows, she knows, and maybe she always has, maybe she should have seen it sooner but itâs the only hope the others have, the only reason theyâre still trying and she canât let them lose it. She canât lose it. She canât lose them.
Oh! Also - does she tell the rest of the dod? Probably not, Iâd guess. Starflight would be crushed. As far as they all know till the last book, sheâs just a weird SandWing. Not only did Starflight fail to have any powers, but she got both. Maybe she tried to tell them before it occurred to her that it might hurt him, but no one believed her. Sheâs just supposedly really good at picking up on stuff. Canât hide anything from her.
Also - mindreading and foresight would only feed into the hyper-empathy. Sheâs so worried about everyone all the time because she can hear their pain, she knows what theyâre worried about, she can hear their hopes and dreams and she can see the fates everyone tumbles through. When the dod eventually find out about her powers, I can see Tsunami probably saying something along the lines of âhey, if you can see in everyoneâs heads, why did you still trust the guardians so much? Why do you still care about them? Why do you still want to help everyone when everyone is trying to KILL US!??â To which she simply responds that that is the reason.
thrice-moonborn sunny :)

Hello, could you do a one shot of Sophia from Katseye with a female reader? They are in the same group and like each other, but they never admit it, until one day when something happens in which Sophia gets jealous of the reader with some boy, and then declares herself afraid of losing her.
this was so fun to write, thank you so much for requesting! đ«¶

Debuting was a dream come true. After dealing with two years of training and a survival show, you felt as if everything had worked out just the way it was intended to. You were close with all the girls that had debuted with you into the group and believed there was nothing that could go wrong from there. That was, except for the crush you had.Â
You thought it was silly in the beginning, that it wouldnât become anything too serious. You were with the other trainees since the beginning of the program, and grew extremely close to all of them. However, you realized within a few months that your âsilly crushâ was no longer silly anymore. Itâs not like it was your fault! How could anyone not develop a crush on Sophia Laforteza? Still, you thought you were partially insane for it.Â
The only thing you didnât notice was Sophiaâs feelings towards you were the same.Â
Sophia felt like she had been shot in the chest when she was bluntly told by Daniela that it was obvious she had feelings for you. The âduh, itâs obviousâ made her start panicking at the thought of being obvious about liking someone while being oblivious about it herself. There was no way, in her mind at least. But, when she was told it she did realize it made sense, even if she didnât notice the things she did herself.Â
While Sophia was one of the older sister-like figure for most of the girls, it was noticeable that she would spend more of her time with you. If you were having a rough time during practice she would be there reassuring you and helping you with each step, when you werenât practicing she was essentially always by your side, even if it was just sitting on the couch, Sophia made sure every time that she was the one sitting next to you, and if any of the other girls did she would throw a fit until one of them moved. She cooked for all the girls, but if you two were up in the middle of the night in the dorm she would make you food that was from your culture depending on what was in the dorm at the time. You two werenât roommates, but the girls have multiple pictures of her making her way into your room to lay down with you and fall asleep that neither of you know about nor have seen.Â
And yet, neither of you said anything. Both of you were too scared to do anything. It made sense. There was the initial fear of liking another person, then the fear of dealing with being in the same group as said person, and the many different outcomes that could come from it. Additionally, neither of you would ever believe the other reciprocated those feelings.Â
You learned fairly quickly after debuting that Sophia could become jealous of when others would be around you, but you thought it was merely platonic and the sisterly love she had for all the girls in the group. You wouldnât call yourself oblivious, but apparently, you were if you couldnât figure this out. But, then again. There were a few times that made you start wondering about certain things.Â
The first instance was when you were in Korea for the survival show, and she wakes you up in the middle of the night to go to a convenience store.Â
âPsst, Yn, are you awake?âÂ
The answer was yes. You had been awake for the past two hours trying to get to sleep, so when you heard Sophiaâs hushed voice ask you that question in the dark, you immediately responded. âYeah.â You open your eyes to see Sophia crouching in front of your bed, the hood of her hoodie over her head and a small smile on her face as she hears you reply.Â
âDo you want to go to a convenience store with me?â Sophia asks you.Â
You can tell by the look on her face that she wants you to say yes, her eyes wide and filled with anticipation of your answer, the small smile on her face, and itâs what wins you over in the end despite your tiredness and dreading schedules for the next few days. âYeah, sure,â You answer with a nod. âWhat time is it?â You ask, sitting up and rubbing your eyes with your hands.Â
âIt isâŠâ Sophiaâs voice trails off as she pulls her phone out of her pocket and looks at the time. â1:42!â She answers, showing you the phone.Â
âWhy are you even awake at this hour?â You ask her while yawning, grabbing your phone off the charger and swinging your legs over the bed, scooting yourself closer to the edge.Â
âCouldnât sleep,â Sophia shrugs, standing up. âPlus, Iâm really hungry and want ramen.â She finishes with a smile.Â
You let out a quiet chuckle and nod your head. âYeah, that makes sense,â You say, getting up off your bed. âGive me a minute to get ready, I look like a mess right now,â You add, running a hand through your hair to try and fix what you know is a mess.Â
âYou look perfect,â Sophia responds the second after you speak without a hint of hesitation. It's too dark for you to see the blush make its way onto her face when she realizes those words actually came out instead of just staying in her head, but you're also grateful for the darkness as it hid your own flushed face. âI-Iâll be in the living room. Just come out when you're ready,â She says after a moment of silence, trying not to sound panicked but her stammering is noticeable. Within another second, Sophia hurries out of the room quietly, shutting the door behind her and going to sit down on the couch.Â
You have no time to respond before Sophia is out of the room leaving you back in the darkness. You canât lie to yourself and say that hearing those words from her made you feel warm inside because it did. Even if it wasnât meant to be taken that way, it was still nice to have it be said while looking like a zombie half-awake at one in the morning. All you do to get changed is fix your hair, put a beanie on to cover the top, and put on a pair of slip-on shoes before leaving the room quietly. When you enter the living room, Sophia is sitting on the couch with her phone in her hands, looking at it so intently that she doesnât even notice you walking up to her until you are standing right in front of her and speaking.Â
âWow, for someone who woke me up at one in the morning, you sure arenât paying attention to me, huh?âÂ
Sophiaâs head shoots up from her phone and a smile immediately makes its way onto her face. âSorry, I was looking at something,â She replies.Â
âSomething important enough for me to go back to sleep?â You say with a short chuckle.Â
âNope!â Sophia shakes her head and quickly stands up. âCome on, letâs go!â She grabs your hand and starts walking to the front door.Â
You let her drag your tired body to the front door and leave the house. You had your hood over your head like Sophia as you two started walking down the streets of Seoul to find a convenience store. You donât even realize her hand is still holding onto yours until you glance down to look at the time on your watch, and a blush forms on your face, but you donât do anything as you let your other hand fall back down to your side.Â
After around ten minutes of talking whilst walking the streets, Sophia eventually spotted a convenience store and dragged you inside along with her. You felt an odd sense of relief when she let go of your hand finally, but you also wished she held onto it longer. But, again, you didnât say anything as you two walked inside the small store.Â
You absentmindedly follow Sophia as she roams the store looking through each of the small aisles of snacks. You stop in a random aisle and let Sophia walk off in another direction, grabbing a chocolate bar before continuing on your way to where Sophia was. You turn the corner to see her ripping open a package of ramen and you silently walk up behind her, peering over her shoulder.Â
âWhich one did you choose?âÂ
âJesus Christ!â Sophia jumps, turning to look at you. âYou scared the shit out of me!âÂ
âSorry,â You smile innocently at her.Â
Seeing your smile has all the (petty) anger fading from Sophiaâs body the second she sees it. She couldnât lie, she did love your smile. Itâs just she wished they were directed towards her more, even if there was already more to her than the other girls. She doesnât even notice sheâs staring until you point at the package in her hands.Â
âYou know thatâs like, super spicy, right?â You ask her.Â
âHuh?â She lets out, not hearing what you said due to being stuck in her thoughts and staring. âOh! I think Iâll be fine,â She shakes her head, turning back to the machine that dispensed the hot water.Â
âThatâs what you say now,â You say, grabbing a package of ramen and one of the plastic bowls. You rip open the package with your teeth and pour the contents into the bowl, not noticing Sophiaâs gaze on you out of the corner of her eye while you move.Â
The two of you watch the water pour into both of the bowls and you yawn, covering your mouth with your hand and rubbing your eyes with your other hand.Â
âYou should get an energy drink,â Sophia says.Â
âIâll be alright,â You reply. âPlus, Iâm used to Redbulls.âÂ
âRedbulls,â Sophia shakes her head mumbling to herself. âThose things are so bad.âÂ
âI just like the strawberry apricot flavor,â You shrug your shoulders, grabbing the bowl from the dispenser and covering it with its top. âAll the other flavors are shitty.âÂ
âTheyâre all shitty, Yn,â Sophia retorts, grabbing her bowl and sitting down at the little 2-person table.Â
âNot the strawberry apricot,â You respond, sitting down in front of her.Â
âSure, sure,â She replies sarcastically while nodding her head.Â
Thereâs a moment of silence that fills the space between you two and the small table, and youâre not sure what to say. Youâre so awkward with Sophia outside of practice and the dorms that going out in the middle of the night with her feels weird now that itâs just the two of you alone. Itâs not an awkward silence, itâs calming given the chaos you were thrown into daily with the program. But, you donât know what to say. Maybe there isnât anything to be said in the first place, youâre not completely sure. All you know is that this isnât so bad, spending time alone with her without the other girls nearby. Looking at it now, you two look like a couple going to a place this late into the night just for some ramen. The thought made your face flush, and you look down at the table trying to not show it.Â
âAre you okay?â Sophia questions once you randomly look down.Â
âYeah,â You nod your head, looking back up and at her. âI was just thinking,â You reply.Â
Your words have Sophia raising one of her eyebrows, looking at you with an expression you hadnât seen on her before. âAbout what?â She asks another question.Â
The new look sheâs giving you has you not knowing what to say. You could lie and say you were thinking about something totally different or, you could tell the truth and lowkey admit your crush on her. You can tell sheâs anticipating your answer, and you stumble out words before you can even think over them and determine if you should say them. âI was just thinking about how we kinda look like a couple going out alone like this.âÂ
Sophiaâs eyes widen for a split second before they return to normal, which you fail to notice, and she isnât sure how to respond. Sheâs always known what to say and how to respond to things, but for some reason, sheâs struggling right now. But, she tries her best to not show it. âYeah, we kinda do, donât we?â She replies, tilting her head slightly and smiling. âYou donât feel weird about that?âÂ
Her response along with her smile has the prominent blush on your face growing bigger, and you shake your head at her question. âNo,â You answer. âDo-â You clear your throat out of nervousness. âDo you?âÂ
âNo,â Sophia immediately answers, shaking her head with the smile not leaving her face.Â
You weren't really sure what that meant in the moment, but when you two returned to the house you found yourself unable to sleep due to the thoughts running through your mind of what it could possibly mean. But, you didn't voice these thoughts out loud ever. Except to Megan, who insisted that it was obvious, Sophia liked you as well.Â
Once the realization dawned on you that surely, Sophia liked you back, you felt a whole assortment of feelings that you didn't know what to do about. You didn't want to confess, because of the possibility that you were wrong, accidentally mistaking the kindness for liking you. But, you were having a hard time keeping it inside at the same time.Â
You ended up keeping it inside the whole time. Throughout the program, throughout debuting, you didn't say a word. You couldn't. You didn't want to ruin everything that was built just because you ended up developing a silly crush on her. You weren't stupid enough to do that.Â
In the end, it was Sophia who confessed first.Â
It was an off day after months of schedules after officially debuting, and you and Sophia were doing a Target run to get groceries for the dorm. She had left you with the cart while she went further down the aisle to get something, leaving you standing there tapping your hand on the cart to a random song.Â
You heard your name from behind you, and you turned your head to see one of your old friends walking up to you. A smile instantly grows on your face seeing him walk up to you.Â
âJax! I haven't seen you in forever!â You say smiling, hugging him as he walks up to you.Â
âHow are you doing?â He asks you once he pulls out of the hug. âYouâre like, famous now,â He laughs lightly.
âIâm good!â You answer, giggling softly at his second sentence. âIâm not famous yet, Jax. I just debuted.â You shake your head. âBut uh, it's something.â
âMm?â He hums, tilting his head to the side. âWhat do you mean?â He questions.
âNothing,â You shake your head again. âDon't worry about-â You stop your words when you hear footsteps approaching from behind and stopping next to you.Â
âSorry, no pictures,â Sophia says while putting the items in the cart, putting her hand up.
âOh, Iâm not a-â
âSorry, we have to get going now,â She cuts him off before he can finish. âCome on,â She grabs your hand and starts walking away.
âSophia, what the hell?â You instantly say when she stops halfway across the store. âHe was my friend.â You pry your hand out of her grip.Â
âI don't like him,â She responds, shaking her head.Â
âWhat?â You question. âOkay, so? I haven't seen him for months! And you just dragged me off! You can't just do that!â
Sophia shakes her head again, not knowing what to do. She acted without thinking, she rarely does that. Now she got herself stuck in a situation not knowing how to handle it. You're clearly irritated judging by the look on your face, and she's contemplating just outright saying the reason she did it, the reason she did everything when it came to you. âI-â She starts, but you're quick to cut her off.
âYou're what?â You cross your arms over your chest. âYouâve been acting weird ever since the debut, hell, since the lineup was announced! Part of me is starting to think you secretly hate me or something!â
âWhat?â Sophia lets out, looking at you like you just said something insane. âNo, no, no, no, I don't hate you!â She says quickly, panicking truly for once in her life. âYn, you have to understand I can't-â
âUnderstand what, Sophia? That-â
âI have feelings for you!â Sophia raises her voice to speak over you, her face immediately turning red when she realizes what she said. âI mean, I, uhm,â She stammers out as the look on your face changes and you take a step towards her.
âAre you serious?â You question seriously. âPlease don't be lying to me right now.â
âIâm serious,â She answers quietly. âI know it's not-â She stops abruptly when you cup her face in your hands, staring at you with wide eyes.Â
There's a moment of silence that lingers in the air as you two stare at each other, before you hesitantly start leaning closer to her. You stop, hesitating again with your lips merely inches away from hers, trying to see in her eyes if she really wanted this. Before you can do anything else, Sophia closes the gap and kisses you. It's quick as she pulls away, smiling at you with you smiling back.
âYou don't have a clue how much Iâve wanted that to happen,â You admit shamelessly.Â
âMm, I had a feeling,â She says jokingly.Â
âOh really?â You reply in the same tone, tilting your head to the side.
âYeah, Dani claimed it was âobviousâ to everyone else,â She nods.
âIâm so going to kill her when we get back,â You grumble out.
âOh be quiet, it's cause of her this happened anyways,â Sophia pats your head gently. âYou can kill her later.â
âFine.â

I like the headcanon that Legolas is considered weird. Even to other elves. He's a wild child that's connected to the forest in a very deep way. He talks to the trees and isn't too great at talking to other elves, men, dwarves, etc.
As an elfling, many others wanted to be friends with the Greenwood prince, but he was said to be strange, sometimes behave as an animal, and was prone to spacing out, as if staring at something invisible. Certain fabrics or foods would send him into screaming fits.
Legolas was saddened by his lack of friends and grew closer to his father and his father's advisor Feren (Feren is kind of a 'do-everything-guy', he is Thranduil's advisor and Legolas' nanny). And as Legolas grew up, he started to hate how he was and would cry for being so different. That is until he meets Lord Elrond, an elf so similar him. Lord Elrond's twin sons took to Legolas very quickly and they became very close friends, them being used and to their father's behavior meant they understood Legolas and didn't leave him for his eccentric behavior.
. . . . . .
Did I AuADHD code and headcanon Legolas and Elrond? Yes. Yes I did!đ

I think some right-wingers love Fight Club (the movie) because it appeals to a certain strain of "return to monke" anti-modernism that appeals to the kind of guy who reads Ted Kaczynski's manifesto and thinks "hey actually this guy was right". You just have to accept, on principle, that Tyler Durden was right about everything and is the good guy. If you start with that, then what you can get is a very gender-essentialist take on masculinity and a very neo-luddite take on what life is best for humans. As an note, this is my guess at how you look at the movie through this viewpoint. I do not espouse these beliefs, and I also haven't seen this movie in a long time so I might get some details wrong.
The Narrator (Ed Norton) starts the film unhappy because of modern society. When he rejects societal rules and embraces who he really is (a violent, physically imposing, and dangerous man) he is fulfilled. That is because real men are naturally violent and can only be happy by fulfilling their need for violence through actual violence.
Marla in the beginning is suicidal. She stops being suicidal when she begins a sexual relationship with Tyler. That's because women naturally want to be subservient to men, and can only be happy when they are serving the needs strong man.
Modern society is what is preventing men from being "real" men (violent and strong fighters) and women being "real" women (subservient sex objects). By tearing down modern society, Project Mayhem is allowing things to return to their natural state. This will allow people to be happy, because the "natural" state of things is the right one and will make people fulfilled.
Project Mayhem is full of angry men who want to be led by the angriest and strongest man. They are from all walks of life, but primarily the working class. This is because they have recognized that modern society is keeping them from being their true selves, and they can only be their true selves in a patriarchal, anti-modern society. That natural order can only be restored through violence.
In the end, Tyler Durden is successful in basically everything he set out to do. This is because he was right, and is an example of what men should aspire to. Also, it is clear that Tyler is the good guy because he is beautiful, and beautiful people are always the good guys.
If you go into the movie with a mindset that is already gender-essentialist, patriarchal and anti-modern it's easy to see the things you want to see and none of the other things that you don't want to see.
The thing is, everyone knows something is wrong with how things are. Conservatives can also feel that they're being pushed around by forces that don't have their best interests in mind. They are also bothered by the commodification of human life, and sterility and lack of human connection we see in a world that's controlled by corporate interests. They just think that'll all be fixed by forcing people back into roles that they've already rejected time and again. They think we can go back to a way of life "when things were good' not realizing that things were never really good, and that people's innate desire for agency will not actuall fit with shitty, worn-out structures of power.
i dont think fight club was co-opted by the right because they didnt get the satire, it was co-opted because it fuckign kicks ass. they would have co-opted any movie that is that good and has hot sweaty men in it. right wingers aren't aliens, they know a good movie when they see it, the lesson isn't "don't make satire because the wrong people might think its for them" the lesson would be "don't make art that kicks ass" and i'd rather there be art that kicks ass

10 Study Tips
Work out why you procrastinate
Procrastination, the act of avoiding studying or carrying out a task can have many different roots causes, including:
You donât understand the work
The topic is boring
Youâre waiting for a time when you feel more motivated
The task is so overwhelming you donât know where to start
And many more.
The first step in being able to work out how to stop procrastinating is to work out what it is thatâs making you feel that way.
Spend some time reflecting on what it is that makes you procrastinate, then you will be able to easier identify which of our following study tips will help you the most.
Chop the material into chunks
If youâve got a huge pile of work to do and youâre not sure how to begin, you should start by âchunkingâ it â break down each task into small chunks.
For example, if you want to revise the GCSE Chemistry topic âchemical changes,â try breaking the module down into smaller sub-topics such as âreactions of metals,â âwhat are acids?â âwhat are alkalis?â etc. Then, assign yourself a certain number of those chunks each day which you will cover.
Instead of having one large overwhelming topic, you will have a series of smaller, more manageable chunks to work through.
Create a study timetable
If youâre always waiting for that perfect time to arrive for you to begin your work, then creating a study timetable could be the key to getting you motivated.
By nature, we love routine.
And once youâve got yourself into a consistent and manageable study timetable, youâll find it much easier to slide into study mode each time you come to sit down and do some work.
The key to making a good timetable is to make sure itâs manageable; give yourself enough breaks and down-time to relax each day and switch off from work.
Research suggests that around 50 minutes of studying with a 15 minute break is the optimum time for productivity.
So try creating a timetable that fits in around this, and one that fits in around your other commitments such as school, extracurricular activities and socialising.
Reward yourself
As part of your timetable, you should schedule time for rewards.
Whenever you complete one or two chunks of information, you should reward yourself with a short period of relaxation, such as going for a short walk or spending five minutes on your phone.
If youâre actively rewarding yourself at the end of each topic, youâre more likely to stick to your routine and remain motivated.
Work out why you want to achieve high grades
Another great way of finding study motivation is to work out why it is that you want to study in the first place.
Perhaps you want to try and get into a good university? Or have a great career? Maybe you want to know that youâve given it your best shot? Or make your parents proud? Whatever it is, write down your own list of reasons and stick them next to your study space.
Whenever youâre feeling unmotivated, read through the list and remember why it is youâre there in the first place.
Study with peers/friends
Lots of students find it more motivating to study in a group, either with other classmates or their friends.
When you study as a group, youâll have the chance to explain bites of information to one another and test your knowledge, as well as ask for more information around difficult topics or concepts from peers who have a better understanding.
Of course, you need a group of focused and disciplined students to ensure the group study works effectively. Though you may want to work with them, sometimes studying with friends can be more of a hindrance than a help.
So always bear this in mind when thinking about organising a group study session.
Active learning
Donât expect to sit and read through a piece of work and have a full understanding of it. Thatâs passive learning, and it probably isnât at all effective for most students.
Research has shown that active learning is the most effective way in being able to stack and store new information in our brain.
But what is active learning?
Active learning is when we are cognitively engaged in learning new information, trying to make sense and construct knowledge around it which relates to what we already know.
Once we have an association to something we already understand, we are more likely to absorb the information.
Ways you can actively learn:
Discuss the new topic with your peers or friends
Take notes on new information
Annotate the book/slides
Create a presentation on the topic and try to teach it to someone
Healthy lifestyle
Itâs a well known fact that eating the right foods and doing regular exercise will help you to study effectively and stay motivated.
Aerobic activity sends oxygen and blood to the brain, while feeding your body the right foods will ensure youâre getting the right nutrients.
All of this contributes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and optimum brain performance.
Perfect for acing your study time.
Get rid of distractions
It may seem obvious, but itâs amazing how many times youâll find yourself scrolling through your phone or replying to a text when you should be studying.
Write a list of all the things that you find yourself distracted by when studying and then work out how to eliminate them.
For example, if your phone distracts you, put it on flight mode, or try downloading the app Forest, which grows a tree during the time that you donât open your smartphone. If you open it, the tree dies and you have to start all over again.
Expect to have bad days
Itâs very unlikely that youâre going to stay focused and be able to study consistently without ever finding yourself procrastinating.
Sometimes youâre just not in the mood â either youâre having a bad day or youâre just simply burnt out. Itâs normal to expect to have these days, and you should never get angry with yourself for having them.
Instead, take a break, do something you enjoy and take a moment.
You can always move your schedule around and try and go back to studying later that day, and itâs likely to be far more productive and effective than if you were to sit and force yourself to do it.

My increasingly preferred interpretation of the SCP Foundation is the version invoked by SCP-173- the fluorescent-lit bureaucracy housing or monitoring a few hundred distinctly impossible objects, entities or locations; contained and corralled less out of some sweeping ideological mandate about the veil of secrecy and more for the practical reason that they have no goddamn idea what these things can do or how they'll react to any given stimuli. Largely (though not totally) divorced from extant folklore and conspiracy culture in favor of a unique pantheon of weirdos that don't fit an obvious schema. Terse, clinical documentation that nonetheless clearly implies a discovery process only a little to the left of a bunch of nervous nerds poking at something with a long stick to see what happens. Don't get me wrong, I love the modern foundation. I love Eigenweapons, I love Akiva Radiation and tactical theology, I love the sprawling supernatural subcultures and the nine different equally-extant eschatologies that are slugging it out. But after a certain number of articles predicated on entire secret fields of academia or postmodern articles about "what even is an anomaly, man," you become increasingly aware of the ways in which you're looking at least three really cool settings that don't necessarily play nice with each other thematically. There Is No Canon yadda yadda
#a lot of the newer articles are predicated on the foundation having a pretty strong theoretical schema for the stuff they're containing#that's explained! That's an explained SCP!#and of course you can easily square this with the idea that the foundation is more about shoring up it's own power#but that's a different vibe from the earlier stuff#thoughts#meta

I have been thinking about constructing a language around the idea of a sort of human-computer pidgin, which isn't quite the same as binary cant due to not being designed for a dystopian setting and for attempting to accommodate the human side of things a little better, but close enough that I have thoughts on this. First, if I were to guess at what such a system would use, my first thought would be a dual-tone multi-frequency keying like in phone landlines, though if single-tone encodings are easier for humans to distinguish by ear I can get why that would be recommended instead. Another thing is that it might be fun to look at the Sarus and Solresol languages, which not only lean further into the musical angle offered by a two-octave range but also, by having seven written characters, can fit into three bits with room for a space, or maybe an escape character in case you want to have the option of throwing control codes in there or something. Now, three bits is less than four, and including parity in the fourth bit doesn't really make much sense in this case because you'd just be dropping the use of certain tones altogether. I guess the easiest way to handle that would be to encode pairs of character in base64 to use ASCII like you would for English? And if you're using ASCII, that could allow for using data-serialization formats encoded in it (most of the ones marked as human-readable ) to structure statements something like {YOUR-MISSION:{DESTROY:{COMMUNICATIONS-TOWER,GENERATOR,AERIAL-LIFT}SECURE:{LANDING-SITE}}} depending on choice of serialization format, which is presumably up to either whatever seems appropriate for conveying the type of nerd a given admech is or just whatever's easier for you to deal with personally. Binary formats would presumably also be used, but I'm not sure how useful they'd be in a roleplaying context. Some type-length value schemes might also be useful to look at.
Also, incidentally: If you want a more machine-looking writing system to go with it, post code style barcodes like POSTNET and RM4SCC use tall and short lines for one and zero instead of wide and narrow lines, which could make them easier to jot down by pen if you want to do that. I have been working on character sets which take barcodes like that and connect the lines in a character with squiggly bits so that the grouping of them is a lot more readable, but I don't know if that kind of thing would fit with the tone of adeptus mechanicus or if they'd prefer to either use the unmodified barcodes or just directly write 1 and 0s, base64 characters, Morse code dots and dashes, or whatever. But since I don't mind if anyone else uses, adapts, or alters these scripting systems, I may as well share it here while I'm at it. Note that I haven't really thought about certain details, like what kind of endianness is most appropriate and stuff like that, so if that's something you care about, feel free to remap in addition to any other changes that you feel might be needed:
I still didn't remake that direct adaptation of RM4SCC that I forgot to save earlier, so I'll have to remember to post that in a further reply later.
I'm also thinking about pronunciation systems that fit the human-computer intermediate language I'm going for, but I don't think anything I have in mind is particularly admec flavored, so I'll save that for another time.
Iâm curious how binary cant work for admech since day 1. At first, I thought itâs just high speed alternation in frequencies of sounds to denote 0 and 1, just like how computer cable does with voltage. So I wrote a python script to convert natural language to binary code then to sound based on the idea (so that I can curse in binary in ttrpg). However, since the human auditory cortex can only distinguish sound about 20ms apart, the current commonly used binary coding method (Unicode) that requires 8 bits to encode for one letter (16 bits for one character in Mandarin) would make binary cant less efficient than natural language through the bare ear. As a result, binary cant users not only need vocal implants but also auditory implants to receive info (or perhaps cortex implants to decode). Based on these assumptions, binary cant would be able to happen in sound frequencies not perceivable by the original human cochlea so techpriests conversation can be extremely quiet. And more efficiently, just through data cables.
Or it could be the other way around, scientists might develop more efficient binary language without basing it on the symbol system of natural languages (Iâm not that familiar with linguistics so I donât know if this is possible or not).
However, the sound techpriests made in the game mechanicus doesnât sound like my assumption. There are definitely more than 2 pitches used in the conversations (which makes it less binary...) and they seem to be faster than natural language. I still couldnât figure out whatâs happening here. Do the twisting pitches actually encode more than one bit? Is binary cant actually an analog signal encoding a digital signal? Or is the sound effect just mean to sound better for the game?
The binary curse program (turn the sound on!):
