Did anyone else watch that episode of Young Sheldon where the central conflict of the episode was Missy (tween girl) wearing a skirt to school for the first time and being made fun of for having hairy legs. But the actress literally had perfectly hairless legs for the episode. Like female body hair is so disgusting they wouldn’t even include it in an episode about body hair.
This is her literally in the scene where she gets bullied for being so hairy.

the concept of a roommate wasn't unknown to shoto, considering his time in the ua dorms. if anything, it was a comfort at least that he wasn't the only one from ivy cove in this strange position. but shoto was used to more advanced tech than this. at least he had an easy way of heating the fire. but as he let a flame go to ignite the logs in order to put the tea pot on, he noticed missy come in. shoto hadn't wanted to show use of his quirk, unsure of how she and others in this world would react. unsure if she saw or not, shoto held up the cup. "tea?" he offered simply.

@heartfe1t gets a(nother) starter
the smile missy offers up at paige is definitely forced, stomach twisting in knots as she settles on the bed in her dorm room. while telling paige is definitely not as scary as telling her family ... still. she's still trying to force herself not to run out of the room to throw up. "so. uh. okay. i kind of have a reason for calling you over here ..." she swallows heavily, telling herself to take a deep breath in and out. maybe slightly regretting telling miles she wanted to do this alone. but she knows it's better that it's just her and paige. "i ... i have something to tell you and i really hope you won't hate me for it afterwards."

“maybe jason needs a therapist.” missy says, blunt as always. if she’s honest, she really doesn’t like the boy - he’s a douchebag with a capital ‘d’, gives off all the wrong vibes and chrissy definitely deserves better than him. but she also knows the other girl has to figure that out for herself, if people try to tell her this, the other is likely to just shut it down. like she’s doing right now. she just hopes chrissy figured it out all sooner rather than later. “tell him to hit me up, i’d be glad to offer my services - i’m almost fully qualified.” there’s amusement in her eyes as she speaks, but she doesn’t outright laugh or show that she’s joking. “hm alright, that sounds good to me - dean throws a mean party. too bad steve harrington cleaned up his act though, his were always the best.”
❝ deep down... i do know that... but- ❞ she cuts herself off. her father certainly tried to see the bright side with her mother, despite all she's done to chrissy in particular, but... he still tries... but well- maybe people really can't be fixed. she sighs, trying to perk herself up as missy does. ❝ jason and i... we'll figure things out. ❞ she sounds determined, even though maybe she shouldn't be so sure about this. he's her destiny- she's been told as much long enough. ❝ a party sounds fun- i think destiny's parents are out of town, so her brother's probably having something. ❞ benefits of being the queen of hawkins high- she tends to know a little bit about everything 'cool' that's going on.

Young Sheldon Series Finale: 7x14 Memoir
THE SHAMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
Okay, so I have a lot of mixed feelings about this episode. I do not think it was very elegant in its execution, firstly, and secondly WE SERIOUSLY NEEDED MORE SHAMY LIKE WHAT THE HELL YOU GUYS IS THIS ALL WE ARE GOING TO GET OF SHAMY FOR LIFE??? Ugh! I was hyping myself up so so much about seeing married old couple Shamy, and don't get me wrong, it was amazing, but also in other ways disappointing. It seemed very limited in its emotional scope, and while I loved that it was brought home regarding Sheldon's relationship with his own son, it didn't quite reach the emotional heights they were going for, or at least what they could have gone for.
LIKE WHY COULDN'T WE HAVE SEEN SHELDON ACTUALLY INTERACT WITH HIS CHILDREN YOU GUYS WE WERE ROBBED 😩😩😩
AND SHELDON HAS A BABY GIRL AND WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SEE GIRL DAD SHELDON OR EVEN KNOW HER NAME I AM DEVESTATED
I know there was a limited time to the episode with them having to conclude all the storylines and everything, but they could have made this last episode an hour, would it have really killed them? It was like we were given a peep-sized hole view into Shamy's family life, and that was it! I wanted THE WHOLE PICTURE, I wanted to see it sprawling and majestic in all its beauty!!! UUUUUUUUUUUUGH!
Although, when Amy stepped towards Sheldon threateningly to get his cute ass into the shower and get ready for their son's game, I about lost it! OMG. Momma Amy don't play! And Sheldon cowered/flinched like he just KNEW to his bones that he crossed the line and lost the battle! (The blood was draining from the boy's face big time!! 😂😂😂) That was kind of hot not gonna lie... 🥵 *fans self* *swoons* *faints* But why did Amy get rid of all his nerdy shirts?? 😭 LET THE BOY LIVE HIS LIFE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! But we did get to see him in his cute cuddly robe most of the episode and then sporting his hot Dad-polo shirt! So that was something! 😍
Another aspect that I didn't like about this episode is how they handled the situation with Mary Cooper. I believe it is very truthful, unfortunately so, that those who are "adults" in our lives fail us at the times we need them the most, but I don't like how the episode tried to frame it in a good light. The fact that Mary Cooper essentially emotionally abandoned her children and was forcing them to get baptisms (spiritually abusive) was pretty messed up! The way that MeeMaw placed the burden of responsibility on Missy and Sheldon (children who the adults should be supporting during what is quite literally the worst time of their lives!!!) was also super messed up too! Yet none of this is called out for what it is, but instead the writers try to turn it into a special, warm fuzzy moment between mother and son! Nah, I'm not buying it. Especially since the relationship between Mary Cooper and Sheldon is so special to me. I really don't know what else they could done, but I don't believe they should have done any of that. It was a really weird and awkward note to end the series on, even if it was hilarious how Sheldon showed up to his baptism in his whole scuba outfit! (Made even more hilarious by the fact that we learn that despite all of that, he still got an ear infection! Oh son...)
Oh well. I guess it is what it is! I am still just trying to process it all. I will probably be watching the Shamy moments on repeat forever! And I guess go back to my headcanons...
Oh, final note: I was seriously thinking for a moment there that Sheldon Prime and young Sheldon were going to meet! I think that would have been kind of cool actually if we got Sheldon talking/interacting with Sheldon (particularly for the Iain and Jim interaction!), but maybe it would have been a bit too on the nose. Although, that is Sheldon's MO. Still, I really, really loved that final moment when Sheldon Prime walks through his house in his memory and then turns around and it flashes back to his younger self speaking to Missy. I actually think that "last" moment between Sheldon and Missy is achingly beautiful as he tells her that he has no choice but to remember her, and she just laughs at him smugly. *lays down cries cries a lot*

Crafting Creativity: Exploring the Writing Process
Part 1
Hey everyone!
If you're as passionate about Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory as I am, I need your help! I'm looking for dedicated fans to join me on an exciting fanfiction project that dives into a prequel of Young Sheldon.
Here's the plan: we're going to create an engaging story featuring new OC siblings for the Cooper family. These new characters will add unique dynamics and interactions with the familiar Cooper siblings, promising lots of fun and drama. Imagine the possibilities of adding fresh, original characters into the mix of Sheldon, Missy, and Georgie!
What I'm looking for:
Fanfiction Writers: Whether you're a seasoned writer or new to the scene, your creativity is welcome! We'll be working together to weave an intricate and compelling storyline.
Beta Writers: Help shape the narrative with fresh ideas and collaborative brainstorming sessions. Your input will be key to developing our story.
Beta Readers: Your keen eyes and constructive feedback will be invaluable. Help us ensure our story flows well and remains true to the characters we all love.
Beta Editors: Polish our drafts to perfection. Your skills in grammar, structure, and continuity will elevate our fanfiction to a professional level.
Co-Writers: Join me in co-writing the chapters. Collaborate on plot twists, character development, and dialogue to make our fanfiction shine.
We'll use Google Docs to collaborate, brainstorm, and draft our untitled Young Sheldon fanfics.
Even though I'm a fan of both shows, this will be my first fanfic for both fandoms. I'm recovering from long-term writer's block, so I need all the help I can get. No experience writing for this fandom? No problem! We're here to have fun, learn, and create something amazing together.
I've written other fanfics on AO3 under the username Princess Shuri 16, and the goal here is to have creative fun with fellow members of the writing community.
Our combined writing communities on Tumblr, AO3, and beyond are filled with talented individuals. Let's harness that collective creativity and passion to make a fanfiction that the Young Sheldon and Big Bang Theory communities will love!
If you're intrigued and want to embark on this creative journey with me, please reply to this post. Let's bring our ideas to life and make a fanfiction that will be talked about for years!
Can't wait to hear from you all!

the arrival of nini is so unexpected missy doesn't fully process it until the other girl's arms are wrapped around her. she half-heartedly wraps an arm back around her - clearing her throat - trying to gather herself a little so she can speak. she doesn't even know how nini knows, did missy call her? she doesn't remember, the grief makes it hard to think. "i'm, uh, i'm okay. i guess. as okay as i can be ..." the words sound foreign, even to her. speaking at all sounds foreign. "what're you doing here? did ... did i call you?"
❝ oh, missy. ❞ bittersweet smile etches it's way onto nini's face as she walks into the cooper house, immediately wrapping her arms around her friend. ❝ sweetheart, i am so sorry. how are you holding up? ❞

When Young Sheldon heads to Caltech, he leaves behind a mother and twin sister in mourning.
Neither Mary nor Missy are in a particularly great place in 1994, when the Big Bang Theory prequel wraps its seven-season run. Mary has thrown herself into her religion (as foretold by Big Bang) and is largely ignoring her children’s needs. Missy, meanwhile, is angry at the universe for taking her father.
Now that Georgie, Mandy and CeeCee live across town with Mandy’s parents, and Meemaw lives with Dale, Mary and Missy have the Cooper residence — which, at one point this season, housed seven people — all to themselves, until Mary sells the house at an unspecified point in the future.
Fans of The Big Bang Theory know that Mary and Missy turn out OK… but what about all those Young Sheldon fans who have never seen Big Bang — a reasonably large and growing faction of the audience as new generations discover the series on streaming?
youtube
“It’s interesting because we definitely have seen — especially since the show went to Netflix — a younger audience has found it that I don’t think is that familiar with Big Bang,” executive producer Steve Holland tells TVLine. “We were trying to use these last episodes to start [Zoe Perry] on a road towards the Mary [we know] in Big Bang Theory, who we know is even more religious than Mary [in Young Sheldon]. This was the beginning of that path.
“To me, it doesn’t feel like a dark place to leave her. It feels real,” the EP says. “She’s still grieving the death of George and she has turned to religion. She says ‘Jesus is helping me through it,’ and I don’t think that that’s a depressing place to leave her. We don’t leave her bouncing back from the death of [her husband], but that also just didn’t feel real to us.”
youtube
Holland argues the same is true for Missy. “We know from Big Bang that she goes off the rails a little bit in the wake of George’s death, so it’s hinting at that future for Missy but also trying not to leave her in such a dark place that it’s just depressing,” he says. “She’s obviously angry, and she’s grieving, and that also felt real, but we didn’t want to leave her in a really grim place at the end of this show” — hence Missy’s final interaction with Sheldon before he leaves to start his new life in Pasadena, Calif.
Even still, portrayer Raegan Revord says she feels bad for her character as Young Sheldon comes to an end. “It breaks my heart,” the 16-year-old tells TVLine. “She just doesn’t have it easy. Her whole life, she was kind of ignored because of her [twin] brother, and the one person who paid her attention died. She’s left with a grieving mom who probably [isn’t] there for her the way that she should have been because they’re all dealing with [George’s death] in their own way. Mary very much leans into her religion… and in Big Bang, Missy’s a waitress, she’s got all these kids [and] she’s the least successful Cooper kid.”
Whether it happens between the events of Young Sheldon and Big Bang, or after the events of Big Bang, Revord hopes that Missy “finds some peace and happiness.” Could that come in the form of a storyline on CBS’ forthcoming spinoff, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage?
“I think, you know, we’ve always talked about this new show as this world getting to continue,” Holland says of the Montana Jordan and Emily Osment-led continuation. “It’s important for us that it create its own identity and it isn’t just Young Sheldon Season 8 — part of the move to multi-cam is for it to have its own identity — but at the same time, these people are family, and they live in the same town, and it is always our hope that this is a world where they’re going to pop up, and that these stories will get to continue in some fashion.”
Review Mary and Missy Cooper’s Big Bang Theory futures below, then leave a comment and let us know if you’d like to see Zoe Perry and Raegan Revord reprise their roles on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Beyond Sheldon: The Spinoff Potential of Young Sheldon's Quirky Characters
The "Big Bang Theory" prequel, "Young Sheldon," has captivated audiences with its heartwarming portrayal of child genius Sheldon Cooper's (Iain Armitage) unique journey through adolescence in East Texas. While Sheldon undoubtedly takes center stage, the show boasts a vibrant cast of characters, each with their own quirks, dreams, and struggles. But could any of these supporting characters hold their own in a spinoff series? Let's delve into the potential of some of Young Sheldon's most captivating personalities for future spinoff explorations: Image: CBS The Meemaw Powerhouse: A Spinoff Centered on Meemaw (Annie Potts) - The Premise: The indomitable Meemaw, Sheldon's sassy and fiercely independent grandmother (Annie Potts), has become a fan favorite. A potential spinoff could explore her younger years, showcasing her journey as a single mother navigating small-town Texas in the 1960s and 70s. - Why it Could Work: Meemaw's sharp wit, unwavering love for her family, and her rebellious spirit offer fertile ground for a compelling narrative. Flashbacks could reveal the experiences that shaped her into the strong, independent woman she is in "Young Sheldon." Humor could be derived from her clashes with societal norms and her unconventional approach to raising her children, particularly her free-spirited son, Georgie (Montana Jordan). - Potential Challenges: A spinoff focusing solely on Meemaw's younger years might require a significant time jump to connect meaningfully with the established "Young Sheldon" timeline. Georgie's Risky Business: A Spinoff Highlighting Georgie's Entrepreneurial Hustle - The Premise: Sheldon's older brother, Georgie, is a charming hustler with a knack for spotting business opportunities. A spinoff could follow his teenage and young adult years as he navigates the world of entrepreneurship, facing challenges, learning from failures, and striving for success. - Why it Could Work: Georgie's ambition, resourcefulness, and occasional reckless charm create an engaging character arc. The show could explore the world of small-town Texas entrepreneurship, showcasing the challenges and rewards of turning business ideas into reality. Humor could stem from Georgie's schemes, often bordering on questionable territory, and his interactions with a cast of colorful characters he encounters in his ventures. - Potential Challenges: Georgie's character might lack the inherent comedic appeal of Sheldon's eccentricities. The spinoff would need to create a strong supporting cast and compelling storylines to sustain viewer interest. The Church of Missy: A Spinoff Unveiling Missy's Hidden Depths - The Premise: Sheldon's twin sister, Missy (Raegan Revord), often plays the role of the exasperated yet supportive sibling. A spinoff could delve deeper into Missy's world, exploring her social life, teenage anxieties, and aspirations that may lie beyond the shadow of her brilliant brother. - Why it Could Work: Missy's dry wit, rebellious streak, and genuine affection for Sheldon offer a unique perspective within the Cooper family dynamic. The show could explore the challenges of being overshadowed by a genius sibling, navigating the complexities of teenage friendships, and discovering one's own identity. - Potential Challenges: Missy's character, while relatable, might not possess the same level of outlandish quirks that drive humor in "Young Sheldon." The spinoff would need to find the right balance between humor and emotional depth to resonate with viewers. A Collaboration of Quirks: A Multi-Character Spinoff - The Premise: Instead of focusing on a single character, a spinoff could explore the lives of a group of teenagers in East Texas, featuring Sheldon's classmates, Missy's friends, and perhaps even a young Mary Cooper (Zoe Perry). - Why it Could Work: This approach could leverage the existing comedic chemistry between the established young actors. Each character could bring a unique perspective and storyline, offering a broader view of teenage life in Sheldon's world. - Potential Challenges: Coordinating multiple storylines and ensuring each character receives adequate development could be a challenge. The writers would need to strike a balance between maintaining individual character arcs and fostering a cohesive ensemble narrative. - While Sheldon Cooper remains the central figure in "Young Sheldon," the show's supporting characters possess a wealth of untapped potential. Whether it's Meemaw's feisty spirit, Georgie's entrepreneurial hustle, Missy's hidden depths, or a multi-character exploration, these personalities offer intriguing possibilities for captivating spinoffs. Ultimately, the success of any spinoff hinges on the writers' ability to craft compelling storylines, maintain the show's Read the full article

24 - Pumpkins and Costumes
Part 25
The Texas Tire Family
Tags just ask - @supernaturalgirl31 @bvbwestfall @bubble-blu @patriciaplictisita @liesanddreams @bethanymccauley
Pushing the stroller through the grocery store I had our kids with us shopping for their Halloween costumes while Georgie was holding down the store. Going down the isle of costumes Montana was sitting inside the cart with the girls walking beside me. Evelyn rushed forward spotting a star wars costume of Princess Leia. She tugged on the bottom of the package since she wasn't tall enough. "Mommy, can I get this one?"
"Sure. I'll have to find you a headband that has her hairstyle though." Tossing the package in the cart we kept moving forward.
Aurora scanned the pictures until she found one that looked like a female version of Indiana Jones. "Mom, look at this. I want this one."
"Alright. What is it, Montana?" He was tugging on my shirt a little harshly trying to get my attention.
Shifting my gaze forward I saw his tiny fingers were grabbing a hold of a batman package. "Bat…bat."
"Oh I get it." I nodded grabbing both costumes until something came to my mind making me chuckle at my son and my youngest daughter. "You know you're uncle Sheldon won't like it that Leia and Batman are friends. Since they're from two different franchises…but don't worry we're still getting them."
Walking up to the woman at the cash register she eyed me and my three kids clearly remembering who I was. And I remembered who her parents were too. Her mom helped George Sr when Missy had her first period and now I was interacting with her teenage daughter. "My mom knew you. You’re the girl who had a kid before she was married. You slept with that Cooper boy. Not the smart one, but his brother."
"Can I just check out please." I changed the subject, putting my items on the table for her. "Are you excited for Halloween tomorrow?"
The girl nodded seeing the kids costumes they'd picked out. "Yes I am. Oh and you’re kids are adorable…"
I could she wanted to say more than that but I handed her the money and grabbed our stuff quickly before she could say more. "Happy…Halloween." Montana called out to her as I held him in one arm, carrying the bag in my other.
"Bye." Evelyn waved to the cashier woman with Aurora following behind her.
Putting the bag in the truck and Montana in his carseat in the back with Evelyn I got in the driver's seat. Aurora got in the front with me looking over at me where I was almost crying. "Mom, are you gonna cry?"
"Uh…no. I'm fine." I sniffed some tears back using my jacket sleeve to stop them. But my other hand gripped the steering wheel knowing that this still shouldn't affect how people in this town saw us. Turning the engine of the car on I started driving home not saying anything until we got back. "Mommy is totally fine. I just remember that woman's mother is all. Now let’s go carve pumpkins."
The girls went around and covered the kitchen table with newspapers. I had their costumes hanging in the laundry room. Montana was in his highchair eating some Mac and cheese so I could help the girls with their pumpkins. The front door opened when I cut off the top of one of them, seeing Georgie. "Hey honey, how was the store today?"
"Pretty good. I managed to sell almost 100 tires in an hour." He shrugged off his leather jacket hanging it on the hook by the door.
He walks over the second I sat the knife down on the table and he spun me around so that he could kiss me which caused Eve and Montana tp make disused noises. Breaking the kiss I put a hand on my hip so they knew I was serious. "Be nice or daddy and I won't help you carve pumpkins."
After the kids ate their lunch we got straight to work. Georgie started pulling out some of the seeds and then let the kids each do it on their own. "This is so gross.." Aurora said pulling out a huge handful and putting it on the newspaper.
"Rora, Rora think fast." Evelyn suddenly launched a handful of pumpkins skin and seeds at her sister’s face.
It got all over her face and even in her hair where she grumbled going into the bathroom. "Seriously Eve. Act your age."
"I'm this many." Montana held up two fingers showing me and Georgie.
Georgie held down his hand to his son's level giving him a high five. "That's my little man."
"Eve, I told you don’t make too much of a mess or no TV before bed tonight." Sending a raised brow to my daughter she looked at the ground sadly.
"Sorry Mommy." She apologized.
Kissing her forehead I heard my phone going off in the other room. Moving to grab it I could see that it was a video call coming in from Penny. Clinking the answer button I waved. "Hi Penny, what's up girl?"
"Leonard and I decided to have a Halloween party and you guys haven't seen the baby yet. So why don't you come up for the weekend?" She suggested it to me.
Georgie and Evelyn were laughing when I looked in their direction seeing that the pair were throwing some pumpkin guts at Montana but weren't making as much of a mess as earlier with Aurora. Turning my attention back to the blonde I responded. "That sounds great, Penny. We should be able to make the trip. I'll let you know if something changes. I'll talk to you later." Hanging up the phone and laying it on the table going back over to the trio.
"Hey honey, what was Penny calling about?" Georgie asked, walking over to me putting a hand on my hip tugging me close to his chest, sending me a smile.
Draping my arms around his neck I grinned up to my husband leaving up on my toes to give him a kiss. "She wants us to come up to California for a Halloween party where they are having to meet their baby, Wyatt."
"I think that's doable, darling." He responded by kissing the crown of my head.
Aurora came back from the bathroom finally wiping off the mess that her sister had covered her in. "Eve, no more pumpkin launching at me. I'll do marshmallow fights but not with pumpkins."
"Okay…sissy." Eve responded simply.
Montana reached inside the pumpkin on his own baby one that we had bought him. "Here we go, little man." Georgie came back over taking the knife carving a smile into his pumpkin.
"Can I have fangs on mine, dad. That would be school." Aurora questions her father sitting back down on the kitchen barstool by her pumpkin watching him carve.
Her father nodded in agreement finishing the carving. "There's some rocking fangs, Rora. Eve, what do you want?"
"One with rounded eyes and mouth." She clapped her hands together.
It was a few hours before sunset before we could put out the pumpkins. The kids were heading to bed by the time I had cleaned the kitchen and threw away the newspapers covered in pumpkins guts. Georgie was sitting on the couch in front of the TV tuning into a football game. "How was your day, Y/n?" He lifted his right arm allowing me to snuggle up against him once I laid down.
"Pretty good. Hopefully since Halloween is on a Friday the kids will go to bed for most of Saturday to give us time to rest." I sighed in relief meeting his soft brown eyes running one hand through his curls, seeing him send me a soft expression. "But I did feel off when the teenage girl working at the gas station recognized me. I remember her mom from when Missy had her first lady mouth."
"I bet that would be weird. Like seeing my mom at the Tire store or at the laundromat we used to work at." Georgie got lost in thought. "That would be super odd if I saw any of our kids working where we used to work."
Laying my head back down on his chest I intertwined my freehand with his. "Even though it's hard living in a small town where everyone knows everyone, I do enjoy it here. And I know the kids do too. What about you, Georgie?"
"I wouldn't change anything cause I get you and our beautiful babies." He tucked some loose hair behind my ear watching my eyes begin to fall closed from the lack of sleep. He felt my body falling against him where he slowly got to his feet picking me up bridal style, carrying me to our bedroom. He crawled in the bed beside me mumbling when I peaked my eyes open slightly. "I love you so much, Y/n Cooper."
"I love you too, Georgie." Squeezing his hand in mine I buried my face against his chest when he wrapped his arms around my waist letting me fall asleep in his arms.

Hi there! Out of interest, are there unique cultural differences you've seen between Misdreavus who are raised in populations without Dawn Stones or Mismagius (like in Johto) compared to those that DO and can evolve?
Hello!
(I assume you meant Dusk Stones?) It's a very interesting question! First I'll disclose that my experience with Johto+Hoenn Misdreavus is extremely limited; it's mostly going off knowledge gained from other people. I was only able to study Johto Misdreavus in the wild for one night! (But don't tell interpol I did that. I am, uhh. Not a Johto champion......)
Anyways, the short answer is Yes, there are definitely cultural differences! Both in the peoples' treatment of them and the Misdreavus in the wild.
The long answer is about how their social structures work, as well as their behavior around humans.
I already feel an essay coming on, so here's a cut! The summary is that Johto Misdreavus are more territorial and less social, and populations with Mismagius are more cooperative and don't have to work as hard for their food, so they're not as competitive.
Johto Misdreavus are a lot more solitary and territorial. Their interactions with other Misdreavus are a lot more tense, and their resources (particularly human fear) are more scarce and therefor they're more competitive over it.
I once read an account of one wild Misdreavus in Johto startling a human, and another rival Misdreavus sneaking up to take half the fear for themself, and apparently it caused so much tension, a battle broke out! (This was on a forum board rather than a research paper, so take it with a grain of salt.)
And with humans, a Johto Misdreavus is WAY more likely to prey on their fear than play a prank! I mean, ALL Misdreavus do that, but Johto Misdreavus seem particularly "all business" about it. It's a source of nutrition and it certainly amuses them, but Sinnoh Misdreavus will do it whether they need sustenance or not.
I've already seen a bit of a spectrum with that; Sinnoh Misdreavus are more social and lighthearted, with loose and fluid hierarchical structures, and Alolan Misdreavus are SO incredibly social and playful! Shade, one of my Alolan Misdreavus, was actually a bit of an outcast there because he has a personality more suited to a Johto Misdreavus, very stern and hardly ever amused by ANYTHING.
Throw a Mismagius in the mix, and you get mischief to the tenth power. What the Misdreavus I've known do isn't exactly "respect" them, certainly not automatically, and it's DEFINITELY not deferential. But they get a lot more creative and a lot more bold.
Now, Mismagius aren't automatically the matriarchs/patriarchs of a coven. If the Misdreavus have a Mismagius around, that's not automatically the ring leader. Sure, Mismagius can certainly DO things Misdreavus can't, and their ways of creating fear to harvest are a lot easier and more refined and create a lot more fear a lot more quickly. They all prey on fear, so it's certainly advantageous for them to have a Mismagius around. But ghost Pokemon don't pick leaders based solely on their strength or resourcefulness!
But having a Mismagius around can mean protection spells, easier access to food, and of course stronger offense if a battle breaks out. They get braver because they know they can get away with more. My very own first Misdreavus and Mismagius, Missie and Mistress, have a subtle dynamic where Mistress tends to protect Missie. (Missie's not a very strong battler anyways, very agile but she doesn't have a lot of power, so having Mistress around when tensions run high puts her at ease.)
Most Mismagius don't stay around their birthplace, anyways. Both species in the line will wander sometimes, but Mismagius are a lot more likely. It's almost like they have this urge to see exactly how many places they can go and make changes, whether that's by sowing chaos or making friends. Physical or spiritual. I think they just like to see what happens. Curious creatures, in every sense of the phrase.
And if you're at all interested in the HUMAN culture side of things: Johto and Sinnoh have something in common, and that's a long history of myths and legends surrounding these ghosts. The Johto myths are usually about a Misdreavus being formed by a vengeful spirit, or someone who died of a broken heart, whereas Sinnoh myths tend to be less, well... depressing. The general attitude towards Misdreavus here is less Scary Ghost Story and more Mischievous Trickster. Still a lot of distrust, but it's annoyance and fear in equal parts.
So I think I've rambled enough about this things! If you have any further questions, you're free to ask them, and thank you for stopping by!

open to: anyone muse: missy cooper - of young sheldon but essentially my oc now. this missy is studying, working, to be a therapist - complicated as fuck relationship with her mom, genius twin brother and glass child to a t suggested plot: something probably family related, missy just wants out of her head. your muse is welcome to do that in any way they can
missy looks at the other, letting out a slight sigh. "i just - i want to get out of my head for a little bit. can you help me do that? please?" head turns to them, pleading looking in her eyes. she knows she sounds maybe a little desperate, but she doesn't care. she's tired, and just wants to forget about everything she's been dealing with for the past hour or so. "i just ... want a good night. a fun one." she doesn't think they'll deny her, but she's willing to dial up the pleading if she has to.

"If you think I'm OVERDRAMATIC, have you spent a day at the FAIR with SHELDON? Or like any DAY at all?" Missy retorts without so much as missing a HEARTBEAT. Plaintive eyes beseech her adopted brother to reverse his decision. As far as she saw it, she was on the more MELLOW side. (which isn't entirely true, for she could sometimes rival her twin)
THAT DAMNABLE SMILE does little to placate the disappointment etched into every corner of her countenance. "Cata-- what?" She's never excelled at linguistics. Or really any subject in school at all. She was, however, a deeply empathetic person. That meant she could read people, expressions, and social interactions just FINE. "But BEN, I have to IMPRESS my date. He's off-the-charts HOT." She begins to plead. Tempie's father had a corvette. He's used to flashy cars.
"You'd understand if you SAW him." Okay, maybe he wouldn't. But to young Cooper, Little Tempie Peck was worthy of a GQ cover. "Haven't you ever just needed ONE thing to go right? Just ONE thing?" She starts, trying her best to employ her inner weasel. "Besides, I'm not as rowdy as the others. And I promise, I won't leave the STATE with it." She's starting to think that maybe calling Tallmadge hadn't been her best move after STEALING her father's truck.
“how could you do this to me?” (Missy Cooper)
@timeguardians
"You're being over-dramatic." Without lifting his head, Benjamin kept reading his book on the sofa, knowing all too well that were he to actually lift his head, Missy would be standing there with a world-class pout.
Turning the page, he finally allowed a hint of a smile. "I don't think it's cataclysmic that I'm no longer lending you my car for the weekend. If you ask me, the world will thank me for keeping one less rowdy teenager off the streets."
#Muse: Missy Cooper#HAHAH big brother/Dad BEN strikes again. I love it XDDD#honorhearted#if Missy worked at school half as hard as she works at trying to convince BEN to do things- she'd probably have straight A's. XDD
