And was this what she wanted? Heart starting to beat fast, Fíann slid out from the bed without a single noise, rubbing her eyes, pulling her phone out of her pocket to check the time. Early enough. Good. The screen fell asleep in a few seconds, leaving her reflection staring back at her. Fade, still. Hair dyed brown. The mysterious part of her there, still. Herself, still. No changing to suit anyone. The past was not back.

Merrick had demanded that she change. That she be far more feminine than she was comfortable with. That she shut the lid of Pandora’s box and swallow all the feelings she could not control. That she become small, quiet, invisible, a doll for him to play with however he pleased. A doll with no feelings and thoughts of her own.

Sergio was different. Damn, the entire situation was different.

Fíann felt different, too. The necessity to feel anything other than safety wasn’t there anymore. But this tiny event, having fallen asleep next to someone - next to someone she was supposed to have feelings for... She was, wasn’t she? He’d opened up to her about his past, he’d trusted her with himself. She trusted him, too, as much as it could be said she trusted anyone after Merrick and his parents had happened. Certainly far, far more than she would’ve trusted anyone a few years ago, that was for sure. And yet...

Friends don’t usually sleep in the same bed like that. They might hold hands, sure; Fíann had done that before with Ula and Eithne, they loved hugs and holding hands. So that’s why it feels so strange.

Nah, there’s nothing there. Back a few years ago I thought I was fucked up for it, but now I can see the truth. I don’t fall in love with people. And that’s maybe for the better. If the other person gets fucking mad at me the way Merrick did, it shows me they’re only here for romantic shit. I feel far more comfortable with platonic stuff.

And if he’s okay with that... Well, it would make everything easy. Almost as easy as it used to be back in the day. But what if this is wrong? What if I’m wrong? The thoughts rushed in, making her heart race. What if I’m leading him on? What if I’ve been the bad guy all along, and this is just a trap for yet another guy? And what if... What if she’s just overthinking the shit outta this? What if there’s no romantic element to this at all, and they’re just conjuring it up from their weird head like they’ve done so many times before?

...Breakfast. Fíann needed breakfast. Fíann needed to meditate awhile, and breakfast, stat.

i was thinking about this again yeah…😔its a shame there wasn't a scene right after the fade prison. because damn that could've hurt. so i did it myself. sorry i made it a bit different.

so, for murat it really was a couple of hours. and when he finally left the fade prison, he knew that his friends are scared af right now. so he tried to cheer them up by fooling around a bit. little did he know that it wasn't hours at all.
