This new chapter is so real. It made me remember many things i’ve forgotten from my hospital/treatment days. Not in a bad way but hitting quite close to home. One thing I remembered was how our doctors and counselors viewed friendships/relationships between patients. Communicating outside was pretty frowned upon and being in a relationship with another patient would get out kicked out at the very least. Anyway, the part that really hit was the phone call. The effect that continuing these relationships can have when both parties are in different places in their journey. It’s tough because you bond over something heavy something you might hide from others in your life. Something that is a big part of you, something that you struggle with. In a way it’s like you can be your true self. Without having to put up the facade to keep those around from being uncomfortable. It gives the friendship a sort of depth. But we all progress and heal at different rates. It’s not a one size fits all situation when in comes to treatment. I have been in both positions. Being the person stuck while others come and go. Then later having to move on needing to do what is best for me. It’s difficult for both. But hearing about relapses or certain thoughts from a friend. When you have finally found some stability or are close to falling back into old habits. It can be so triggering. Which makes you have to decide. Do I stick with this person who I connected with at my lowest point? When I am so easily reminded of things i’ve barely just moved on from. Or do I let go and focus on the future? It sucks either way. But it does explain why the doctors say what they say about patient relationships. Though I know it’s not like that for every situation. Anyway, sorry for so many words! I probably have more to say but imma chill out. Just wanna say WOW! Loving the story, it’s relatable(maybe I shouldn’t be too proud of that idk) and thought-provoking. Really got me thinking about things which I don’t normally do. And it ain’t actually that bad. Hope my words made sense. Great work👍🌈😃

I was so nervous and reading this so soon after it came out was so immensely relieving to me. Back where I was, patient relationships didn't get you kicked out, but we did have a couple and everyone kinda knew they were together but refrained from addressing it bc we all just agreed it'd make things way too messy if we did. Even though, literally, everyone knew. Very much an Anthony/Abigail situation haha.

And yes, your words made a lot of sense to me and they're really appreciated. I, too, have been in both positions--- I think it might be a natural part of a lot of people in that "recovering from mental illness" cycle, even if it's a really unpleasant one. You create this bond over sth so horrible, and you understand each other, for as long as you're both suffering. Then when you start to move away from that, life gets easier but the friendship gets complicated. That's my experience, at any rate. I'm really glad to have hit close to home with this bc that's really what I was intending.

Pile 1 you're probably trying to manifest different things (either each one of you have many wishes/manifestations going on or that's the general energy of the pile as someone may be for example manifesting a job, someone else love...). I think there are at least 3 big manifestations or groups though (but more likely each of you may have 3 manifestations going on or sth like that). It may be that a couple of these dreams are put on hold from the Universe in order to make you ready through more experience but another one may even be manifesting suddenly. And I think it could be the one you probably care the most about and are working the hardest to reach. Or the one you deserve the most atm and for many could be *new* connections (not just romantic love but also work connections and friends -in particular). So yeah maybe right now you cannot see anything but you're asked to keep working diligently and with determination, to take charge of what are your possibilities and powers and use them. It may even manifest kinda soon but the choice depends on you too. Try to not worry too much if you cannot see results or signs in the 3d yet or constantly, be bold and keep going.

I think following the moon phases can help you, maybe you're called to meditate to manifest under the moonlight or use moonstones too; or ask the moon for guidance. Not sure if the upcoming lunar eclipse will enhance your chances but it may be worth trying. Your glass is full now so don't worry, let your guards down (if you insecurities are connected with a lack of trust or anything like that; probably your heart chakra still needs some healing still or to be more open after an old wound you had to experience -you probably had to deal with some sort of betrayal/judgement, I'm sorry you didn't deserve it at all) and take a leap. It's up to you, work on ending your worries and don't let them make you give up on your hopes cause I do feel sometimes an hurt side of you may give a lot of importance to any slightly negative "feedback/event" happening and make you want to retreat and give up. Please don't. Accept what has been (you cannot change the past), nurture yourself but remind yourself that you can change your future if you let yourself try: you're different from the person you were and so are the people you're gonna meet or are around you already. You can survive anyway and Universe is on your side too (one by one you'll manifest whatever you want, you just need to start the process, even if you feel like you're not ready to -you are, trust your guts not your fears). Let others in, let others see you.

Hi pile 2, you probably are focusing and meditating a lot to manifest your wishes. You probably follow groups about manifestations or have a manifestation/meditation group in which you all pray together or follow guided manifestations meditations. Maybe you have chants you repeat or something like that. I see you as very committed to your manifestation process. And you don't seem alone in this: maybe your Guides are supporting you and giving you even more power or guidance, maybe they give you ideas through dreams or something or send you to the right readings (make them appear in front of you) that can help you find infos on how to manifest. Your devotion is probably caused by the fact that you really want to change something in your life, maybe an old hurting cycle you've been in for too long. And you will be able to ofc. Keep focusing on your inner knowledge but also on what you can learn from the outside, maybe from more knowledgeable spiritual guides or people you can find (or are sent to). Hey pile 3, you're going to experience something new pretty soon. A new spring/start. to answer your question:

It might seem like obvious that dan is crowley coded and phil is azira coded because of their aesthetics and personality but stating that as that is too simple for me. lets break it down:

dan is like crowley in the obvious sense of having that edgy aesthetic and always needing to question things while phil is the one with the light aesthetic who enjoys what is happening despite the problems it has. just watch them play the game of life.

this reminds me of this quote from a book ive read for uni which really stuck with me:

so yea, dan is the social scientist who points out what most people miss and phil is the one who tells us that we shouldn't wallow in defeat of it but make our own meaning out of it. and we need both! they are like ying and yang, like crowley and aziraphale in that way.

crowley who questions heaven and thusly falls, but then doesnt stop questioning hell because he doesnt see the world in black and white, good actions and bad actions.

i think dan for a long time was not like that. i say this with the utmost respect but if you look back, his branding was usually self deprecating jokes and at least to me personally it felt like his perspective was pessimistic. he always made sure to leave a positive message but to me it felt like a wish for a better future, not a feeling of certainty that it will be better.

Phil on the other hand is very much like that:

so my point is that phil has aziraphale's light aesthetic vibes and his fear of near doom but crowley's certainty that everything will be okay in the end despite it.

Your mind spiraled into chaos. You searched frantically for updates on San’s condition on your phone, but the situation seemed dire.

Despair washed over you. The one connection you still had to this world, the one thing that gave you a reason to keep going, might be gone.

Maybe this was your sign to end it all.

Your vision started blurring, and as the darkest thoughts had almost consumed your entire mind and body—out of nowhere, a reply popped up on your social media feed from an account you didn’t recognize. The icon was the default image, and the username was some kind of random combination of alphabets and numbers.

The reply, clearly directed to your username, read:

“You will die in 100 days.”

What the hell?

You were confused. It was so random, yet it seemed like this random stranger somehow knew your situation.

After the initial confusion, the anger that you did not know who to direct at started boiling up.

You were thinking of what kind of nasty things to reply.

What the fuck? Who are you even? I’ll die when I want to, not when you tell me to.

But just as you started typing, suddenly, a shiver went down your spine. You were terrified, and you had no idea why. Suddenly, you were not alone in this room anymore.

And then you saw IT. Floating in through your closed window without any noise.

Great. Now I’m hallucinating. My brain must really be breaking down.

The entity kept floating closer until it was hovering over your bed. You wanted to look away, but you couldn’t. The only thing you could do was freeze and stare at it with wide eyes.

Does this mean I’m dead? And this thing came to take my soul?

It was tall and impossibly slender, its body a mass of swirling, black tendrils that writhed and twisted like living shadows. Its form shifted in and out of focus, as if the creature wasn’t fully tethered to this world. The entire entity moved with an unnatural grace, like smoke drifting through the air, yet it carried an overwhelming presence.

But then the thing spoke. Its eerie, deep voice was terrifying yet surprisingly soothing at the same time.

“Hey, I’m the one that sent that reply.”

Kind of sounds like Felix from Stray Kids, you thought.

Wait - what the fuck did it just say?

You almost laughed, despite the fucked-up situation, just because while that line was very unlikely to come from a demon… grim reaper…shinigami? Whatever this was, it matched Felix’s voice better than Felix himself. Good choice, my hallucinating brain.

That Felix-sounding thing said slowly:

“You are completely consumed with the thought of death, aren’t you?”

You agree with that. The thing keeps going in a painfully slow, unsettling tone.

“While at it, do you want to make my job easier by switching souls with your favorite idol that’s dying? You could save him in exchange for your life, and I have one less death to deal with. Your body is going to die in 100 days, but…at least he’ll have another 100 days to live, and I get to procrastinate. You can die in his place now, or who knows, his body might survive. Even less work for me. Your choice.”

It took a while to process what it was saying. The product of your imagination seemed to be getting oddly specific and creative.

“W–What? Uh…what the actual fuck? Are you saying I can switch places with San? You’re giving me this power? Why? Why now? What’s the point?”

You can’t believe you’re starting to think this thing is real and trying to converse with it.

The thing doesn’t exactly have a face, but you somehow could sense it was irritated at your response. Its following words were spat out much faster as if it didn’t care to sound scary anymore.

“Um…did you not get the message? I’m fucking lazy. It takes like a whole day for me to process souls after a human dies, especially those by suicide. Oh, by the way…do you care to know how you’ll die in 100 days?”

The ominous character of the thing was slowly starting to fall apart into a more sluggish, human-like one.

“N—no! No, absolutely not!”

That seemed contradictory because you were going to take your life at any moment. But now, since there is a possibility that it could be the cause of death for San, you didn’t want to hear it.

“Alright, alright, I get it.” The thing says in an unserious tone.

Then suddenly, you remembered why you were panicking in the first place.

“I—I want to switch with San! How do I do it? I have to take his place before he dies!”

You were desperate. You were still not 100% confident that this was not your hallucination, but fuck it. You would do anything to save him.

“Just wish for it real hard. Then go to sleep. When you wake up, you’ll have switched.”

“How the fuck am I supposed to sleep in this situation!?” You snapped.

The thing let out a deep sigh. “Okay, whatever–Forget what I said, have a good night…” It said, floating towards the window, mumbling something to itself.

You panicked.

“W-wait! I’ll do it! I’ll try at least, so don’t go!”

The thing paused for a second, then turned your way and crossed its arms lazily, tilting its head, waiting for you to do your part.

You laid down on your side, squeezed your eyes and fists so hard that they hurt.

Breathing heavily, your mind raced, filled with nothing but thoughts of San.

the darkling looks Old. he's supposed to look the same age as all the other main protagonists. this highlights alina's future of staying the same & young where everyone around her dies. it also blurs the line between good and evil more bc 'oh he's the older bad guy' is just such an easy solve. also while ben barnes is a snack imo the darkling was supposed to have a more alluring, youthful magnetism.

making genya's scars barely a few scratches. she's supposed to objectively have lost her former self perfected beauty!!! this is a thing!!! she doesn't just have some deep scars, she's supposed to look hideous at first sight, where is show adaptation teams' courage to show characters that are supposed to be mutilated as just that???? i promise audiences can survive on literally everyone else on the cast being very stereotypically pretty/handsome 🙄🙄🙄🙄

this one i will forgive but i still rly liked it in the books so im a tad sad they didn't manage to include it: that alina has a time where she thinks she is morozova's second daughter's descendant. in many respects she has learned she is Special, and the shame she feels when she realizes this isn't another one of these cases, this isn't a way to finally show her A Path, that in this respect she is ordinary and mal is tied to fate that way, that's just such a good touch.

I have a question, have you ever thought about Dusknoir lashing out to partner specifically if met with extreme hostility after they explain what happened in SE5 to hero and partner?

In my mind the reason Dusknoir resonated so much with Groovyle speech was not only because of guilt (he feels a lot of that wuefhihwe) but also because they basically were in the same situation, and knew in his heart that in the way they approached the future, Groovyle was doing the right thing.

On the other hand, for someone like partner who in Dusknoir eyes has nothing to loose by stopping the planet paralysis, would make it feel disingeneous in some way to just point a finger to find a "culprit", and even though Dusknoir knows hes in the wrong, considering hes not the best at controlling his emotions when under stress, at one point he would at least snap back i think.

Dusknoir being angry that partner is pretending to act like a judge of character, like they're offended they should forgive dusknoir after what he did, ignoring the fact that their own life was NEVER endangered by grovyle's plan, unlike dusknoir's life. That they were an outsider to this conflict and little else than a side-attachment to Hero, dusknoir's actual target. (It is prettu funny how Partner gets dragged along into the conflict for no reason lol, all they did was liking their rock and their best friend and dusknoir almost killed them for it)

Dusknoir will gladly take the blame and accept the consequences of his violence towards hero and partner, but he will not GROVEL to them, not when he was only ever fighting to keep himself alive. He will move on and be better, he will awkwardly make amends as best as he can, but he's not always gonna lay down and take all the berating without snapping back a bit. Especially not when it comes from one of the people who was most fooled by his facade, who had the weakest will of them all and would have succumbed to the darkness faster than anyone if left alone.

Partner grows a lot throughout the story, and I think by the end of postgame they have enough self esteem and will that they've outgrowned dusknoir, in a way. They're no longer led by what others say, and they are sure they deserve to exist in this world. So facing Dusknoir again and having to face their most embarrasing lapse of judgement must bring a lot of bad memories. I think in a normal conversation Partner would be calmer. However, maybe if Dusknoir presses in the right way, they could even be demoralized, some of that old respect could come back and make them more susceptible to dusknoir's judgement.

Both Partner and Dusknoir are cowards in a way. Partner starts as a timid person with no ability to even approach the guild, and incapable of standing up for themselves. Dusknoir has nothing in his life, only a slightly-less-literally-unhinged impulse for self preservation than the mad god he serves. And even then, at least Dusknoir was fighting for something, even if it was something as meaningless as his empty doomed existence.

I think it would be fun for Dusknoir to realize that similarity with partner and bring up the conversation in the old ruins that partner never heard. The one where Hero learned their unfortunate fate were the planet to be saved. He could mention how if Partner had known he could have sided with the very same person they are reprimanding right now. That they would either fail to live up to the mission once their will was tested with hero's imminent disappearance, or they would have betrayed their so-called friends because of their selfish wish to never lose hero.

I believe it could really hurt partner to hear that Hero refusing to tell them until the last moment was only proof that not even them trusted that partner could make that sacrifice.

Of course I'm sure Dusknoir would regret going that far and losing his temper, and I'm not sure if he could be so articulate in a moment of high emotion, since with grovyle in se5 he kind of sputters a bit while he tries to deny the goodness Grovyle claims to see in him. But I think he could hurt partner deeply once more and make their breach even worse. Plus it would make Partner feel like they haven't grown at all since the last time Dusknoir played them like a fiddle.

Tbh i think the only good ending here is if they throw hands hard. and partner wins. not for any thematic reason but just bc dusknoir should get his ass kicked more often

So I watched the Minimoni video just now, and 2 things:

1. I am sad that Namjoon prefers MUSE over Face. Mostly because imo Face is more interesting in concept, execution and lyrics. Oh well. Personal preference.

2. The concept for MUSE is, if I understood correctly, that all the emotions of happiness and excitement JM feels are somewhat temporary. Like a crush that just goes nowhere, it's built more on how your brain romanticises a person and less on who that person actually is. We get crushes on people based on a few minutes of interactions, but at some point that feeling fades. And to Jimin, that's kinda what his entire life feels like. As a GenZ (98), I relate soooooo hard to that. There's these moments of elation, when you do something fun, but soon enough real life kinda drags you down again. The future isn't that exciting to look at and hope kinda flies out the window. To be fair, for most of my generation that's based a lot in feelings of economic fear - sth Jimin doesn't experience- but I think he experiences a lot of other emotions that equate to sth similar. Especially since SK, like many other countries tbh, kind of seems to not take enough steps forward socially to combat all the issues created by the ruling classes of the last decades (aka Baepsae). Anyway.

These feelings of good moments and happiness being fleeting doesn't mean the moments or emotions in that moment were faked. But since it comes and goes, and the lows tend to get very low (also mental illness is a big part that doesn't get mentioned directly in MMM though Jimin has touched on it before), you tend to catastrophise a lot. It's like imposter syndrome for feelings of happiness.

As a separate closing thought: a lot has been made about Who as a song and how you'd fit it into Jikook. Or how it disproves Jimin being in a happy potentially queer relationship, but imo the MMM really highlights how the whole love and crush narrative of MUSE is just a big metaphor. It's not even about JK specifically, but I think it would do Jimin a huge disservice to assume that this album he has worked on for over a year just contains very surface level songs. Yeah, they are about love and yearning, but just like "Fake Love" or any song on the Love Yourself trilogy are about loving someone else on the surface, it essentially is an album about self-reflection. It can be both. Similarly, I find it insulting of people that they assume the "she" was forced on Jimin because he isn't in the credits of the song. As if they wouldn't have re-written the whole thing if it didn't fit Jimin's vision. Don't infantilize him just because it doesn't fit with our (yes, I'm a shipper) view of who Jimin loves.

"She" is a concept, a dream and not real. In that sense, "she" reminds me of Marlena - a female stand-in for inspiration and music as used by the Italian band Maneskin. But that's a reach. And I don't want to discount the literal layer of the song either. I personally don't believe Who is this big red stamp of "hey, I'm here, I'm not queer and looking for a woman to love, please call hit me up" others see it as. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't actually reflect how much Jimin is yearning for someone to love him how he wants to be loved.

I think Jikook is real because of how they behave around each other, and from how they talk about each other. Even the latest mention in MMM, how they (and Yoongi, poor 3rd wheel) spend hours talking about music and singing screams "and they spend the rest of their lives living together, historians call them very good friends" to me. But I won't be upset if it turns out, they did have relationships for years with other people. I won't make up theories and stories to invalidate whoever they end up spending the rest of their life with - we're not larries. Even if I find GCF Tokyo and Saipan, Rosebowl, the regular carrying and the 7000 other instances very hard to contextualise in a hetero way.

see I think for jimin muse as an album perhaps was more about his journey going through creating it, it was a labour of love and something he made from scratch with a team of people. it was probably a real challenge too and it seems like he went through a lot of growth creating this album. I think it's quite hard to judge the 'real' meaning of songs to jimin and everyone having their opinions is valid but as you said we would all do well chilling out😂for me this time it almost seems like the 'concepts' behind the songs are not as deep as maybe face was but the entire process of creating muse was more meaningful to jimin.

In terms of actual serious dealbreakers though... well, as I established in one of my recent ask replies, Draco can't break up with Tom unless Tom decides they're done. That's something Draco would intuitively know too. He's far more observant then Tom gives him credit for. The only thing that would override his self preservation instinct would be Tom slaughtering his whole family or something.

Draco's dealbreaker is, essentially, Tom becoming Voldemort. His feelings regarding Voldemort haven't changed just because he loves Tom. He's repulsed and terrified by him (in the form that he is familiar with). The man is his boggart, after all.

Tom is ambivalent about that future. He doesn't care particularly about becoming ugly and bald, but the idea of losing his sanity frightens him. He already considers himself to be Voldemort though, and has since fifteen. Draco turns a blind eye to a lot of Voldemort-lite activities already. It's only if it becomes impossible to draw a divide between Tom and Voldemort - visually, mannerisms and behaviour-wise - that it would truly be a 'dealbreaker'.

For Tom, it comes down to the daddy issues ofc (yes, despite the whole "my father this, my father that", I believe Tom is the character impacted more by his paternal figure - or lack thereof). Tom had deep-seated abandonment issues which manifest in hyper-independence, trust issues and an obsession with betrayal. He doesn't need Draco to be his magical equal or protector (in fact, if Draco was too close to him in power, that would intensify his paranoia). What he needs is to feel confident that he can safely turn his back on him. That Draco won't betray him. If Draco lost that trust, they would be done.

Both of them are aware of these dealbreakers, even if they were never properly discussed. Tom already experienced their falling-out in Bluebeard Ch3 over what he would consider a minor disagreement, so it's one of Draco's only concerns that he actually takes seriously. Draco might be cowardly with shaky loyalties to Voldemort, however he is staunchly loyal to his family, and at this point, he considers Tom his only remaining family.

Carlos is his husband. the fic was brainstormed with amazing @backwardscapcarlos and i promised myself i WILL write it one day as i am so excited by the concept

2. ballet dancer!Charles and writer!Carlos au - i don't have a name for this yet but this was also so thoroughly talked about with kaleigh again, that i also need to write it and y'all i was obsessed (just the execution if i write it will be probably poor but eff it, we roll!)

3. 911 lone star au - mainly charlos, but would feature many other drivers. charles is paramedic, firefighter at first and carlos is a cop. if you watched 911 ls and you know tk and carlos (they even have a same name fr) you can't tell me charlos and them are not the same. i make the rules actually

4. elemental drivers - again, mainly charlos but also norstappen. brainstormed every element for every F1 driver, sorted out the whole storyline with @moossings (just like the 911 one) now it only needs to be written (idk if i will but i truly would want to)

5. landoscar fic - inspired by the start of this video really. i just want to write something soft, but also angsty with a lot of pining and i found sth in that short interaction that scratched my brain. i can't explain it but like imagine Oscar is like a duckling ok (not literally) and Lando is there from the start. boom what happens? we know. In my work using my imagination I delve into the world of the subconscious, dreams and my own imagination of various phenomena, events and activities. I try to faithfully represent the objects when painting a furnished room, painting a sea, and to be rebellious, completely free from the situation, presenting the vastness of the sea incorporated into a furnished room. By adopting this method of building an image, I want to reach the recesses of the human psyche and the motives of their behavior throughout time and space. I want the viewer who's looking at the symbols contained in my paintings to find their own paths, moods and atmospheres in their lives. So that they can relate with the surreality of the world contained on the canvases, feel the similarities of human fates and hear my voice. Each painting I created could only have been created at the moment in which it was painted. Subconsciously, it refers to the recent past or to the upcoming future. It is like a psychological self-portrait that emerged the moment I saw it in my imagination. When that moment passes and I don't start painting a picture, it will usually never see the light of day again. Unpainted pictures are still hiding in the darkness of the forgotten future. I know that they are there and waiting for their physical birth, for the touch of my hand.

dark-/light energy meta

you know i think a lot about how dark energy works in guardian (dramaverse). so i’ve been thinking just now about how light energy works, and if the mechanics of that are in any way similar to dark energy, but just inaccessible for Haixingren to use. 

well that led me to think. it’s a pretty important plot point of the show that interacting with dark energy too much is dangerous for the health of Haixingren, right. zyl goes blind from over-exposure. we also know that carrying light energy in his body was painful/unhealth/however you wanna call suicide by self-poisoning for sw, so interacting with light energy is dangerous to dixingren as well, we just don’t know to what extent it is naturally so.

here’s the thing. dark energy is dangerous to haixingren just in general, right? sw does not want zyl to go to dixing with him bc simply being there, in a dark-energy-rich environment will be bad for his health. it’s presented as sth like slow radiation poisoning, even if it’s never explicitly explained like that. 

so i was thinking: putting together all of this canon knowledge, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think the reverse would be true as well. that living in a light-energy-rich environment would slowly poison Dixingren as well. 

so either 1) it’s not generally a problem, bc dixingren have a natural immunity to light energy poisoning bc they already have dark energy within themselves and that protects them (anti-radiation-poisoning immune system babeyyyy), so it only becomes dangerous when you do what sw did and let the light energy in. or 2) it is dangerous (though maybe happens much more slowly), but we never hear anyone complain about it bc for the dixingren living above-ground apparently very slowly dying is worth it for getting to live in the light, and csz got freed from prison and would probably not complain about it anyway, and sw never complains about anything, or maybe they don’t quite know.

anyway, if the second is true, then that paints an even more bleak picture of the state of dixing during canon, that its people would risk even a slow and painful death over staying. it also paints a pretty bleak future for those dixingren who are still in haixing post-canon, and for weilan in any of our fix-it AUs.
