yet orv is a story about a man who, when asked what he would do after the apocalypse ends, replied that he wanted to live in a big house with all of his companions. yet orv is a story about a man who eventually wished to start reconnecting with the mother he hated for the majority of his life. yet orv is a story about a man who came to love the constellations he swore to kill. orv is a story about a man who raised three children as if they were his own with a love he never got to experience in his own childhood. yet orv is a story about a man who would’ve willingly killed his younger self, which in the process would kill his current self, to save the world from its destruction.

so really orv is a story about a man who hated the world, but came to love it anyways. orv is a story about change. orv is a story about growth. and essentially, orv is a story about how to be human.

Heyo Hades 2 folks! I know that discussion of game-breaking builds is usually something to happen over on reddit instead of tumblr but when I left reddit I said I was never looking back. I highly recommend giving it a read if you want to do five thousand damage in two seconds before it gets patched out, because this feels like the kind of thing to perhaps warrant that. I'm not even exaggerating. Unless builds like that have been intended all along and I've just been playing every other build too poorly?

Readmore because I will be discussing specifics for clarity and if you're following me and trying to avoid Hades 2 spoilers you should know that this game is where I've been and the reason I've been kinda halfhearted/inconsistent in my presence here recently, it's so fun

All I did was say "Hey what if I put Zeus's Blitz attack on the sister blades' attack instead of on a heavy weapon that does 120 damage already?" and then I got a little lucky. I had the cards for bonus damage on foes in casts and foes afflicted by two status effects active (max rank) and a max rank for aspect of Melinoë. So if I get everything active, that's a bonus 85% damage on every attack, or a bonus 185% damage on backstabs. But I'm only doing 20 base damage on those fast attacks, so surely it's not that bad? Surely Blitz will only activate one or two times per attack, right? Even if I get a rare attack and pom it 8 times with Echo for 270 Blitz damage per 120 damage, it should still be fair and balanced, right?

The attack sequence for the blades, starting with a dash strike, is 45+20+20+30+40+50+80, for 285 damage, meaning that blitz fires twice. Normally. With no buffs.

Wicked Onslaught is a hammer buff that increases the base power of every attack in that sequence by 20. If you then get the additional percentage buffs from the arcana and weapon aspect itself, that upgrades the damage sequence to 185+114+114+142+171+199+185, meaning that if you get literally anything else, like, for example, CHAIN LIGHTNING, you are activating the blitz (again, 270 damage is what was listed before the bonuses from double status and standing in casts) on every single attack in the sequence. It wasn't even showing the storm cloud before it activated. And activating everything else is easy. you just put a status effect on your sprint and a status effect on your (yeetable, because ZEUS) cast (or Demeter's gust on cast plus something else). In my case, I used Demeter cast, Demeter sprint, and Hestia special, because I got trick knives for my other hammer, meaning that my attack sequence also did an additional 225 from the triple specials and an additional 544 from freezer burn.

5694 damage from a single two second combo. Before the chip damage from Demeter.

Also I got Apollo's chance for double attack :3
