Okay so I took inspiration and actually started it, here's a snippet of the first chapter of my WIP. I'd love some feedback, and if things aren't lore-accurate please let me know. I kind of started this on a whim and just have gameplay infront of me and dialouge on the wiki page for when I need it.
Kuwata was the next person to speak "Huh what's wrong?-" he asked the question again. Somehow it sounded the exact same. This time he was interrupted by the appearance of a brown-haired boy in a green hoodie entering the room.
Suddenly it was like a light-bulb switched off in the other students minds, they began to speak. Lively and confused chatter filling the room.
"Whoa, hey! Another new kid?" Another brown haired boy had asked, he was wearing a green jacket over a yellow baggy shirt. He seemed much older than the other students, maybe 19?
Sayaka then heard the brown-haired boy speak for the first time.
"Huh? Then you guys are all...?"
The conversation continued, everybody speaking normally. Almost automated, like a switch had come on. Chatter continued among the students as a black haired boy scolded the new student for being late to his first day at the Academy.
"I don't like this shit..." Leon spoke quietly so the others didn't hear him. He looked nervously at Maizono and scanned her up and down. "Aren't you going to say something... please tell me I'm not alone here. Otherwise this is ending up like every other time and I'm going to end up-"
Sayaka snapped back to reality and turned to face Kuwata.
"What? What are you talking about?" She asked, she fiddled with her blue hair nervously looking up at him. She didn't notice how many piercings he had until she was up close, they shone under the fluorecent light.
"So you're not like them?" He was unsure at first, but seemed slightly more relieved when she nodded firmly.

Let me know what you think because I really want this to work! I'll post chapter by chapter on wattpad, I'll link the story once I've published the first chapter. I haven't edited yet btw so it's really rough lol.
Okay but after reading @rainbow-crane make their character analysis for Sayaka I realise how much of a placeholder tutorial guide she is.
Like @yukiteruakari told me about the idea that first and second (I MIGHT BE WRONG ABOUT THE CONCEPT AND IM SO SORRY IF I AM) and how they're in a loop trying to stop Danganronpa, but Leon always ends up being the first blackened, he does everything to stop it. But Sayaka each time breaks the fourth wall and helps the player through challenges.
It's almost like she knows what's going to happen - she can't stop it - but this isn't the first makoto, this is the 5-millionth Makoto (based on copies bough in 2021).
They have no idea what they're doing or what they're in for, but she does. a "You don't know me... but I know you." kind of moment. She knows everything, but even the other characters like Aoi, Kyoko, Mondo, Kiyotaka etc. think that they're in the universe for the first time, they don't know if they're going to die, even Junko doesn't know what's going to happen.
Just Sayaka and Leon. Fighting to stop Danganronpa THH from ever beginning. And as the player if you advance you get no more guidance from them. They're stuck dead in your game, but they thrive in their version of an "au" (just another copy of the game) almost as if they're begging the player to stop. But it's against the game. It's against the code and they can't do it. They have to follow the dialogue when Makoto/placeholder/-Y-N is near. Almost as if every other character when Makoto isn't around just freezes and stands still, and Sayaka and Leon are the only ones actually functioning unless Makoto is near or they have an interaction coming up with him.
They know what happens. They know that they kill eachother. Nothing can stop it from happening, and once they die they don't continue the game. They don't know who lives and dies next because everybody else other than Makoto/Placeholder/Y-N is just coding that gets removed.
Tragic Leosaya. Tragic.
IS THIS EVEN LIKE... RELATIVELY CLOSE?

Kazui open discussion!!
His MV’s so far has been making me going insane and I NEED to talk about it with someone!! So please join into the discussion and share you guys’ opinions!!
So before you jump into this, the content warnings are: mentions of suicide, death (duh) and murder cus its milgram.
I've seen the theories between Kazui either pushing her off the balcony or her comitting suicide. And I am torn. Cus something just feels off about those two and I'm trying to find a middle ground between the theories. And I wanna hear your guy's opinions too! Whether you have a middle ground as well, or something about the suicide/pushed off the balcony theories.
So let's start!
Evidence for suicide theory
So one of the evidence I've heard about is from the Undercover MV, with all prisoners "murdering" their victims. When looking through them, Mahiru's and Kazui's victims are the only ones that have one shoe off.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we know, in japan, it's common to take off your shoes when comitting suicide. With Mahiru's boyfriend, we can associate the shoe with it and so apply it with Hinako.
At first, I was skeptical, because if we apply this logic, we would also see it on Fuuta's victim, considering she also ended her life due to online harrassement.
Tumblr media
However, a friend of mine pointed out that unlike Mahiru and Kazui, Fuuta wasn't there to witness his victims death in real time and only have heard rumors through online sources. This can be confirmed through Fuuta's 2nd trial voice drama.
Tumblr media
So we can STILL apply the shoe theory on Hinako!
Now comes the part that makes me skeptical: why?
What was her reason? What was it that Kazui said or do that made her decided to jump?
There's no way she would just jump because his gay or because of divorce would she? Hinako seems like a reasonable adult woman, surely there was more to it then just those two reasons.
And yes, I’m aware how much of a taboo it is to be a divorced woman in Japan, I still feel like that CAN’T possibly be the only reason right? But regardless, the motif is still on the table and I’m not going to brush it off due to how reputation and marital status is important in japan.
That’s for the suicide theory.
Evidence for being pushed off theory
Okay so when I first got into the fandom, I fully believed that Kazui pushed her because of intoxication. This was all before I knew about the voice dramas or Half MV, and just went off from what I saw in Cat MV. I will mention about this again later in this text.
So of course the pushed of theory mainly comes from this shot as we see her falling backwards.
Tumblr media
And looks like she herself was pushed off rather than jumped. But (as far as I’m aware/remember) it’s the only evidence we have so far of her falling backwards. And because the MV shows the characters emotions and memories, many theorised that this was just Kazui seeing how drastic his consequence from lying was, especially as he paints himself as a monster (by eating the dove).
To why Kazui would push her, there are two theories I heard: intoxication (which what I thought) or self defense (instantly regretting telling the truth and pushed her by instinct).
I want to keep the theory of being pushed off as a possibility. So I’ll keep that on the table as well, along with the suicide due to marital status.
Other wise there isn’t any other evidence I can find??? So if you find more, please let me know in the comments!!!
My own silly theory and evidence
Okay I’ll admit it: my theory lowkey sounds like a stretch as well. But again!! I’m willing to be open to ANY possibilities!!
So one thing I’ve been thinking about is what if there was some physical assault/fight involved and threat of suicide?
Someone pointed out that Kazui mentions in his 2nd voice drama about ”going up against a woman like her was a first” when talking about Kotoko. We also know that he has experiences in judo, karate AND kendo (like my guy fights a lot jesus).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meaning he has experience with fighting women. And also possibly won most of them due to this comment:
Tumblr media
He’s 186cm/6’1 foot tall (jesus fuck), so yeah, a possibility of physical fight between him and Hinako could happen.
How do we know if she also has the skills to fight? Well she and Kazui were both cops no? Surely they are required to have training in fighting in order to know how to apprehend culprits.
Tumblr media
And also! Someone pointed out this lyric to me:
Tumblr media
Two-way deceit. Meaning that Kazui wasn’t the only one involved in lying about something. That maybe, possibly, Hinako was also in the wrong for something. What exactly? No idea sadly. Although this theory can be cancelled due to a certain someone which I will mention later.
Because of Tumblrs 10 pic limit, so here is part two!!

Reader recording her first topless scene as an actress with some guy and she thinks tom would be jealous or something but then he's all like: fuck I forgot you look so good on top
Looking Good || T.H.
warnings: not explicit but enough that I ask minors to not engage. mentions of sex, penises and boobies
word count: 761
a/n: i am sorry I just reread the request and it said topless scene but i took that as sex scene, i hope you still enjoy!
Tom stood behind one of the cameras on set, a scowl carved into his already sharp features as he watched you in your white robe provided by the costume department. His mood was soured when he opened his eyes at your alarm, awakening with you to go to work with you. You and Tom were both aware of the fact that nudity was a part of your jobs but it didn’t make the every territorial Tom feel any better about the fact that you were going to work and getting naked and climbing on top of naked man, a man that wasn’t him. When he found this out he insisted on coming to set with you that day and you obliged, it actually made you feel slightly comforted knowing that he would be there, a safe presence when you had to get your tits out in front of around 20 people.
You looked over your shoulder from where you stood next to the set bed, sending Tom a soft smile in an attempt to calm his tense stature, your eyes looking deep into his as you tried to wordlessly assure him that it was all gonna be okay and after this you would be back in his arms. The signal worked slightly, Tom’s shoulders relaxing slightly and his arms falling from where they had been crossed defensively over his chest.
Throughout the rest of the prepping for the scene you made sure to keep sending Tom reassuring looks and blow him the occasional kiss but as soon as it was time to film and you reached for the ties on your robe you noted how he tensed out of the corner of your eye but you had to ignore it, not let it affect your performance as you stood with your co star, a highly attractive man who’s towel was already discarded, standing in front of you with only a genital bag on(I researched it and men put their bits in this little bag for sex scenes). You chuckled with the awkwardness of it all as you let your towel fall too, your breasts being exposed to the entirety of the room as you tried to maintain your composure, not getting too self conscious with all of the eyes on you, it wasn’t sexual at all, it was a professional environment but that didn’t make it feel that much better.
Tom bit his tongue and held himself back as he watched your leg swing over the man’s hips, bracketing them as you came to rest on his barely covered dick, your tits in his face. His anger was unnecessary and he was aware of that, he knew you would never hurt him and that this was quite awkward for you as well. Shockingly as the scene continued Tom’s annoyance dissipated, his previous discomfort rapidly being replaced as he watched your tits move as you faux ground your hips against the man beneath you. The scene was something so interesting for him to see, it was like watching what the two of you did together from out of his body, but it was also different, he noted the difference in tone in your moans, they didn’t sound as true as they did when you were with him, well obviously you were faking it but it still made him grin from ear to ear, it affirmed that you had never once faked a moan with him.
Tom continued to watch, no longer out of protectiveness but out of admiration from the way your body moved, his will power was wearing thin and his cock was hardened in his boxers, lips trapped between his teeth as he gnawed on them, waiting in anticipation as you moved off of your costar when the director called cut and announced that it was a wrap for the day. You moved directly to Tom, expecting to have to diffuse the London boy's rage but you found something else you had to diffuse and it wasn’t his anger, it was more carnal than that.
“Hi Tommy” you chirped apprehensively as you wrapped your arms around Tom’s waist, you waited for a response as you rested your head against him but none came. “Tommy?” your arms tightened as you tilted your head to catch his eyes.
“We need to get home” he smirked at you, snapping out of his daze.
“Are you alright?” you asked, worry on your features.
“‘M fine love, I just forgot how fucking good you look on top and I think I need a reminder”

Captain Jealous - William Lennox
Tumblr media
Pairing: William Lennox x reader
Requested: By @neemonroe
Prompts: #20, #41, #42 from the smut-list.
Warnings/notes: Takes place before Transformers. Not proofread so sorry in advance for any mistakes. Might be a little bit OOC but I still hope you’ll enjoy it. Please reblog and comment, it would make my day <3
Wordcount: 3806
Summary: Flirting with Will only seems to result in annoyance, but when you finally turn your attention elsewhere, he’s not very pleased.
Growing up, your mother had always told you to be the kind of woman that, when your feet hit the floor each morning, the Devil says, “oh crap, she’s up”.
You lived by those words every day of your life, not once backing down from a fight, always standing up for what was right, as well as holding your own and never giving up on getting the things you wanted.
To most, you were one of the strongest and most admirable women they’d ever gotten the pleasure of meeting, but to others… well, let’s just say that you might have taken your mother’s words a bit too literally.
You were absolutely relentless when you put your mind to something and one of the many people who had fallen victim to that stubbornness was William Lennox.
Having enrolled in the army around the same time and being equally as good at what you did both back in training and in the field, the two of you had always respected each other and rather than being competitive, tried your best to lift each other up.
If one of you took control of a situation and started shouting out orders, the other didn’t question it, not even when Will eventually passed you in ranks. Because your minds worked in the exact same ways and so it didn’t really matter who gave the orders since the orders would be the same in the end, anyway, no matter whose lips they passed.
But you did differ in the way that Will much preferred to keep his personal life separated from his professional life, while you had a habit of letting them merge together, which inevitably resulted in you bringing the obvious attraction you felt for him with you out on the field.
Will was one of the people who thought you had taken your mother’s advice a bit too literally. That was what he told you on a daily basis as a response to your endless flirting, at least. But you knew better; you knew that he, at least to some extent, reciprocated your attractions, thanks to the few moments you had shared back in training.
“It was all fun and games back then”. He liked to say in that stern, military voice he had picked up the second he was promoted to Captain. “But this is the real deal. This is serious, and this, this thing you’re doing, is unprofessional.”
Ever the workaholic soldier, he was, at this point basically having dedicated his entire life to the job with no time to spare for fun. But no matter how hard he tried denying it, you knew that the two of you shared something, and so did every other member of your squad.
The only ones who seemed completely clueless to this were the newbies and as you gradually lost hope that your stubborn captain would ever admit and give in to his feelings, you found it to be a breath of fresh air to be able to spend time with people who weren’t constantly making suggestive remarks and fueling the attraction from your side.
One, in particular, caught your eye; tall, dark and handsome. He had yet to gain more muscle than the bare minimum and was, admittedly, kind of lanky. He was one year younger than you which was way too young seeing as you’d otherwise not even go for guys the same age as you, but he had banter and shared your flirty, dirty, cheeky sense of humor which, most definitely, made up for what he lacked in life-experience.
Will had smugly watched all of the newbies try to make a move on you only to be shot down quicker than your enemies, but then the last of the soldiers had swept up by your side, put a long, lean arm over your shoulders, and hit you with the cheesiest pick-up line he had ever heard.
“How you doing, mama? You must be a parking ticket, ‘cuz you got fiiine written all over you.”
While Epps, Fig and the rest of the team broke out into laughter at the man’s poor technique, Will’s face transformed from smug to stone-cold murderer.
Why? Because he knew that you didn’t want a man to tell you the stars reflected in your eyes or that you took their breath away with your beauty.
What you wanted was someone who could make you laugh, and when you threw your head back and joined in on the seemingly endless laughing fit, he was overtaken by a feeling so strong that he didn’t quite know what to do with himself.
And you noticed the change of demeanor immediately. The long, hard stares were only the tip of the iceberg, as was the way he would move closer to you and find a way to touch you as much as he possibly could without making it inappropriate or suspicious.
The most extreme part of his change in behavior was how hard and strict he suddenly became with the rookie, who had quickly earned himself the reputation of your very own lapdog.
He got scolded even for the most insignificant of mistakes, always got put on parade as the “example” in exercises in which he was usually thrown to the ground by Will himself and totally and completely humiliated.
Of course, those moments were just poor thinking on Will’s part seeing as you, besides being incredibly flirty and witty, also happened to be one of the most caring members of the team.
Not only did he have to watch you laugh until your stomach hurt at the rookie’s bad jokes, but he also had to watch you comfort and reassure him after his one-on-one’s with the Captain.
And still, Will couldn’t stop himself from making the same mistake again and again, the consequences every time being that he was stuck watching you fuss over the younger soldier, because no matter how much it vexed him, he knew that you knew why he was acting the way he was.
It was all a game to you and he played along because he wanted to keep showing you that he was the better option. Unluckily for the rookie, though, Will’s method of showing dominance was through physical contact.
You knew what Will was doing, how he was trying to punish the rookie, mildly and legally, of course, while simultaneously trying to show you that he was displeased with what was going on; that he wanted it to stop.
To a start, you only showed interest in the rookie to fuck with Will, but you quickly realized that he was actually a fun guy to hang around.
You enjoyed spending time with him. Not a second with him went without laughter and it was nice to be able to have fun like that for a change, and soon enough, you’d more or less forgotten about the silent war between the two of you.
You probably knew that it wasn’t a real interest, judging by the way you didn’t even care enough to remember his name, but it was fun to have another banter-buddy.
You’d had an identical friendship with Epps since the start, but two people could only keep the creativity up for so long; after a while, you just couldn’t come up with witty remarks and sarcastic jokes, anymore.
Up until then, Will had still kept his disapproval about the whole thing lowkey, because as long as you were only doing what you were doing to make him jealous, you were still interested.
But when you started making moves on the rookie with genuine interest, without looking over at Will while doing it, it was no longer a game.
While already on the topic of games, you were completely useless when it came to cards. It didn’t matter what game you played; you’d always end up as the loser. And although you enjoyed the banter that followed the teasing of your poor card-playing abilities, your patience wasn’t endless.
“Alright, I’m calling it.” You chuckled after losing the fifth game of the evening, dropping your thick deck of cards onto the table in front of you.
“Really? But it was going so good for you.” Epps wasted no time in firing back with feign-surprise, to which all you did was deliver a sharp slap to his head.
The table broke out into laughter. “You had that coming.” Fig shook his head, successfully starting a metaphorical war.
You chuckled at their antics and pushed back your chair, getting to your feet and stretching your arms above your head.
“I’m gonna take a shower.” You said, and wasted no time in starting to collect your things.
The rookie’s attention was instantly piqued, and so was Will’s, who had been playing in silence nearly the entire time you’d been there.
“You know, I need to shower, too.” He stated, shrugging his shoulders with a smirk. “So, I should probably join you. You know, save water. Provide some extra heat.”
“Oh, yeah?” You raised a playful eyebrow and chuckled. “Tempting offer, but I’ll have to take a raincheck on that. Glad to know I have options, though. Maybe next time.”
Without waiting for his reply, you snatched your jacket from a nearby stool and playfully flicked his forehead, before turning around and walking away, completely oblivious of the pairs of eyes that kept watching you from the table you had just left.
You went about your shower routine like you always did; get undressed, wash hair, wash body, turn off the water in-between washes, get dried and get dressed again. Sharing the water with so many people could be hard, so you couldn’t really take the long, thoughtful showers you did when at home.
You were out again as quickly as you had gotten in and took your time getting lotioned and dressed, getting as much self-care into your night as you possibly could when at a military base.
“What are you doing with the new kid?”
You should’ve been significantly more aware of your surroundings as a soldier but in your defense, everyone dropped their guard to some extent when in a safe environment, so the scream that came out of your mouth at the sudden sound of a voice was completely justified.
“Jesus fucking Christ!” You swore as you jumped around, hastily reaching for your damp towel to cover your bare chest.
Coming face to face with a furious-looking Will, you glared. “Knock much?”
He didn’t look amused in the slightest, crossing his arms over his chest. “Knock, knock. Answer my question.”
Your mouth snapped shut at the dominance behind his voice and your eyes instinctively flickered to his biceps, veins and muscle more defined than ever in the way he had positioned his arms.
You were, however, proud to say that you were quick to come back to your senses, your eyes snapping back to meet his.
“Do you, maybe, oh, I don’t know, want to turn around?” You asked sarcastically with a raised eyebrow.
If you wanted him to turn around to gain privacy for yourself or simply because you couldn’t stop glancing at his bulging biceps, you didn’t know, but no matter the reason behind your wish, he didn’t move an inch.
“Answer the question.” Was all that he said, and you rolled your eyes.
“I’m just having a bit of fun.”
“Do you like him?” His questions kept shooting out as quickly as bullets and, again, you couldn’t refrain from rolling your eyes.
“He’s fun to be around.” You said simply, giving him a slightly annoyed glare before turning around and dropping the towel to continue getting dressed.
Will didn’t even try to cover the fact that he was checking you out, eyes shamelessly traveling your form and taking his sweet time to remember all the details his eyes could reach.
It wasn’t like this was the first time one of you saw the other only partly clothed – you know, it was kind of inevitable for all of you to catch a glimpse of each other’s birthday suits once every blue moon - so once the shock of his sudden appearance had melted off, the nervousness followed.
“But do you like-like him?”
At the sound of that question in particular, you couldn’t help but snort.
“What is this? Third grade?” You threw him an amused look over your shoulder. “Say that I do like-like him, do you think I should ask Epps if he can give him a note asking him to check yes or no on whether or not he’d like to be my boyfriend?” You gave him a sarcastic pout.
At this point, Will was completely fed up with your inability to take anything seriously and spun you around by your arm.
Luckily, you had just finished hooking your bra behind your back, said bra thankfully covering your chest from his view.
“Can you not make a joke about everything?” He asked, your wrist firmly held in his hand. “You have to realize how bad this looks to our superiors. First me, and now him. You can’t go around flirting with everyone. It makes you look unprofessional and uncommitted and that, in turn, makes it look like I can’t do my job.”
“Is that really what’s got your big-soldier-boy panties in a twist, though?” You narrowed your eyes challengingly, and slowly fought your wrist out of his grip to, instead, grab a hold of his hand.
Further proving your point, he did nothing to protest, the glare remaining in his eyes, but the rest of his face being overtaken by exasperation.
“I just don’t get it.” He said. “You spend all this time pushing my buttons, being completely insufferable with your never-ending flirting, and now you’re suddenly interested in someone else?”
“I think the real question here is why you’re suddenly interested when I’ve spent so much time trying to get your attention to no avail and now, what? You suddenly want me because I might be interested in someone else?” You raised an eyebrow, and couldn’t deny the flash of heat going through your body when he lowly growled.
“I’ve never not wanted you.” He objected. “And you’re not interested in the rookie.”
“How would you know?”
“Because I know you.”
“So what you’re saying is, basically, that you can’t be with me, but I also can’t be interested in anyone else.”
“We both know that relationships in this work are highly frowned upon and-“
“Highly frowned upon, but not forbidden. You’ve still had the option to choose, and you actively chose not to act on it. Just making that clear.”
“I haven’t acted on it because it’s wrong.”
“If it’s so wrong…” You started, a sharp shiver going down your spine as your bare back hit the cold, wet tiles. “Then why did you just corner me in the shower?”
During that short minute of back-and-forth arguing, he had done just that, the two of you now standing chest against chest in the darkest corner of the room.
Your face was pulled into a determined glare, as was his, and the tension and intensity behind your shared stare was enough to have all of the previously discussed issues forgotten in less than a microsecond.
The proximity between you in combination with the fact that you were at an obvious disadvantage in height and size made you feel both hot and cold at the same time. You felt like prey under his stare. You found yourself liking it all the while you were hating the feeling of being so powerless, and your inner conflict only added to the tension.
“You have no idea how much willpower it’s taken me to keep resisting you, to keep turning you down.” He spoke slowly, and lowly. “Each of my thoughts about you are improper and you put all of those thoughts into my head every day, pulling my strings, pushing my buttons, just walking around being… you.”
In one smooth motion, he intertwined his fingers with yours, and your eyes automatically flickered down to watch your now joined-together digits; rough and calloused meeting even rougher and more calloused.
“I like you. I care about you. More than I should.” He continued, prompting you to look back up with an eyebrow raised.
“And?”
“What do you want me to say?” He asked, exasperated and impatient. “Do you want me to say that I want to be with you? Because I do. I. Want. To. Be. With. You.”
You snickered at his over-dramatic emphasizing, finding it nothing short of amusing that he’d been protesting and telling you how wrong it was only seconds before, and now he was more or less proclaiming his love for you. That, more than anything, just showed how stubborn he was.
“Took you long enough.” You mused, leaning your head back into the wall and smirking, all while looking him straight in the eye. “It’s just too bad that I’ve grown so fond of the rookie. You know, he’s quite-“
Before you could finish your sentence, you were interrupted by Will’s lips crashing into yours, roughly and urgently. In the process, you were pushed even further into the wall behind you, and as the sudden force threw you off balance, you instinctively reacted by moving your arms up to his neck to hold yourself in place.
In return, his hands moved to each side of your waist, big, warm hands squeezing down on the flesh that had long ago turned cold from being bare in the nippy air for so long.
You had always imagined what it would feel like to be touched by him like this, but not even your wildest imagination could compare to the intensity of the tingles that spread through your stomach and chest.
Your hands slowly sneaked up the back of his neck, your body reacting automatically, but just as you were about to tousle your fingers in his hair, the moment ended when he pulled away.
Both of you were left panting in silence, the only sounds available for your ears to hear being your ragged breaths and the rhythmic dripping of the shower beside you.
“Wow, Captain.” You were the first one to speak. “I knew you were hot for me, but try to keep it in your pants. That was hardly professional.”
Just like that, your sarcastic persona returned as if it had never left in the first place, your eyes opening after having been closed up until then and meeting his with a playful grin.
A deep chuckle rumbled through his chest. “I’m pretty sure you threw professional straight out the window the first time we met.” He pointed out and much to your dismay, stepped back. “Are you going to stop encouraging the rookie, now?”
Getting straight to the point, okay.
“I don’t know…” You shrugged casually, bringing your hand up to your face to inspect your nails and peeking up at him through your lashes with a devilish smirk. “Jealousy looks kinda good on you.”
“I’m not jealous!” He exclaimed quickly, and you immediately raised an eyebrow as a way to say ‘really?’
“I’m not jealous.” He repeated, this time in a lower, calmer tone. “It’s just, you’re mine.”
Those two words alone were enough to make you inwardly groan, like one would when eating that first scoop of ice cream after not having been able to eat any in a week. Or a day.
But in a brave attempt to not make a fool of yourself, you remained in your teasing element, raising your eyebrows and hitting him back with a feign-uncaring: “Is that so?”
To that, he stepped closer to you once again, brought his hands up to cradle your cheeks, and playfully glared.
“Stop flirting with the rookie.” He repeated.
“Is that an order?” You asked.
“I’m asking politely.” He lied.
“Hmmm….” You hummed, pretending to think only for a moment, before flashing him a shit-eating grin. “No. I’m having way too much fun watching you squirm.”
Still leaning against the wall, you carefully pushed yourself up, pushed your chest against his and watched in success as his eyes flickered down.
Taking your sweet time, you brought your hands up to his chest with agonizingly slow movements and leaned your head up to his.
His breath shook as you brushed your lips over his and whispered against them lowly.
“You’re hot when you’re mad.”
Will pushed his head forward with obvious intentions, but before he could press his lips against yours, you slid out of the tight corner, resulting in him having to catch himself on the wall left behind.
With a proud smile, you walked over to the bench by which you had previously been working on getting dressed and snatched your shirt where it laid.
“You’ll drive me crazy before all this is over, you know that?” Will spoke from behind you, which only made your smile widen.
Quickly pulling on your shirt and collecting the rest of your things, you turned around and walked back up to him where he still stood in the shower.
“That’s always been the plan.” You replied simply, placing a quick peck to the corner of his mouth before once again turning around and walking away, this time leaving him completely alone in the room.
He had to take a few moments to collect himself and regain his composure, and by the time he walked back out, you were nowhere in sight.
With only you on his mind, he headed back to the table where the rest of the team were still playing cards, and sat down in the chair he had occupied before leaving.
“So, now that it’s just us here, I could use some advice on-“ The rookie wasted no time, but didn’t get to finish.
“You couldn’t handle her even if she came with instructions, kid.” Will interrupted without even looking at him, reading his mind without struggle since the person of his interest was one they had in common.
Growing up, your mother had always told you to be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the Devil says, “oh crap, she’s up”.
You lived by those words every day of your life, not once backing down from a fight, always standing up for what was right, as well as holding your own and never giving up on getting the things you wanted.
To some, this was an admirable quality while, to others, you might have taken your mother’s words a bit too literally.
When it came to Will? Well, he just had nothing bad to say about you. You might’ve gotten on his nerves ninety-nine percent of the time, and been completely and utterly insufferable, but God did he love it.

the demons brothers + a touch starved mc
Lucifer
If you’re going to Lucifer because you’re touch starved, then you’re definitely going to be close to him already -- he doesn’t let just anyone touch him.
.......He’s also touch starved but won’t admit it, so one of you is gonna just have to bite the bullet and make a move.
(It’s gonna have to be you)
You’re going to have to go about this carefully--make a really good plan and then execute it flawlessly.
Literally just throw yourself at him.
He’ll catch you.
Probably.
Nothing says ‘give me affection’ quite like yeeting yourself off the staircase at him, and he definitely understands what you want when you latch on tight to him like a weird little barnacle that he cant peel off no matter how hard he tries dfghjkkgf
He’s really warm and he smells Really nice and he hugs you so tight, like it’s the last chance he’ll ever get, so he’s honestly one of the best snuggle buddies.
He’s gonna act all fussy about your love-attack at first--just play with his hair and smother him with lots of kisses and he won’t be able to resist snuggling u. Or banging u, but that’s your choice
Y’know, because “demons can’t resist temptation” and all that jazz.
(tbh he just likes likes you alot)
Mammon
...Why are you staring at him like you wanna eat him?
Seriously, knock it off, you’re freaking him out!
Wait, why are you coming closer…? Get Back you Fiend don’t you DARE wrap your arms around him and nuzzle your face into his chest like that what the FU--
...Oh.
Huh. This is kinda nice.
(Just hug him. If you want his affection, just wrestle him into a bear hug and don’t. let. go.)
At first, Mammon doesn’t really understand affection that isn’t along the lines of a friendly/loving punch. He’s not used to kindness. It’s a fucking tragedy.
He doesn’t know how to ask for love because I don’t think he even realizes thats an option, tbh.
He’s kind of like an unsocialized puppy--will definitely put up a fight until he realizes that, hey, being snuggled is nice.
Luckily for Mams, you are touch starved and determined to show his stupidass what affection is supposed to be like.
He’s going to get so blushy. Sooo blushy. He totally pretends to not like it at first, but inside he’s over the fucking moon happy.
It takes him a while, but eventually, he realizes that he can ask you for snuggles too. At first he’s all “C’mere human, I bet you’re just itchin’ for me to hug ya, so let me make all your dreams come true!”
(It’s a defense mechanism.)
But over time, he eventually seeks you out and just flops on top of ya, and doesn’t feel the need to make a big show about it.
He feels safe with you, and that’s priceless.
Levi
Is incredibly confused about why you’re seeking out him for affection.
When you ask him if you can give him a hug, he expects you to just like... Wrap one arm around his shoulders for .2 seconds.
Which doesn’t sound too bad, so he says “Um, sure, I guess? I dunno why you’d want to though”
So when you climb into his lap and wrap your arms around him like a koala bear, his brain straight up blue-screens.
Seriously, he forgets how to breathe. Don’t squeeze him too hard or he might never restart.
You smooch him on his cheek and his soul promptly leaves his body and is ejected into the atmosphere at mach 5.
This is literally better than Heaven. And he would know, he used to live there.
He totally freezes up and makes a wheezy sound that’s somewhere along the scale of “Dying Animal” and “Exploding Sink”
Needless to say, you create a snuggle monster.
I promise you that you’re never going to be touch starved again, because once you’ve given Levi a taste, he can’t get enough.
He constantly needs to be touching you. Holding your hand or the fabric of your shirt, leaning against you, sitting with you in his lap while he plays video games--it literally doesn’t matter, he just needs that contact with you or he might literally die.
He’s very enthusiastic about it dfghkfd
Satan
Look… Satan is very smart.
But he’s also incredibly dense at times.
You have to be blunt with him, or else he’s just not going to know what you want.
(Feelings that aren’t all consuming anger and hatred are still a bit new to him--he’s learning as he goes)
Just walk up to him and tell him that you need him to snuggle you right now, dammit. Lay your soul bare to him.
He really does love that you trust him. It makes him feel all weird and fuzzy inside.
And how can he possibly say no when you set his heart alight?
That said, he is a bit of an over-thinker.
Worries about crossing boundaries or making you uncomfortable and a million other things--give him lots of reassurance pls
He isn’t opposed at all to cuddle sessions, especially if he’s able to read at the same time.
It definitely becomes a normal thing to cocoon yourselves up in a really fluffy blanket to read together.
Satan is honestly one of the best to snuggle with because he’s very chill about it. You want this and he wants this, so he doesn’t see a point in playing games.
So yeah, he’s chill! But he’ll also threaten the life of anybody who interrupts you guys
Asmo
Please, he knows that you’re touch starved before you even do.
Until you’re upfront about it, he’s going to tease you by like, patting your head, playing footsie with you, giving you only the briefest of hugs--just slowly giving you a taste of his affection until you finally cave and demand that he snuggles you properly.
(Is that a euphemism? It could be lol)
As soon as you ask he’s gonna push you down onto the nearest couch/bed/whatever and just flop on top of you.
Honestly, Asmo wants You to be the one holding Him. He wants to use your chest as a pillow, and doesn’t he just look so cute all snuggled up to you like this? He totally does, you should take a pic of him!
Cuddle sessions are absolutely going to become a regular thing, and he makes them into a big event each time. My mans Asmo is gonna bust out the candles and the softest blankets and the fluffiest pillows.
If the opportunity strikes, he’s definitely gonna try to bang you.
If not, expect to do face-masks together. Maybe manicures. But definitely the face-masks, at least.
He’s gonna spin this into a fuckfest or a self care session--it really just depends on what you prefer sdghjk
Once you’re in his arms, he will tickle you. rip
Beel
He is the BEST hugger in the whole entire world.
When you approach him and ask for cuddles he will pull you into a hug without hesitation.
I do not care how tall you are, Beel is taller. He will engulf you in a hug and rest his chin on your head and sway you back and forth
You want a piggyback ride? Hop on.
Just wanna watch tv and snuggle? Great idea! :D but maybe don’t watch cooking shows or he’s gonna drool on you dfghj
(lowkey I think he would really enjoy watching human movies with you. He found Mamma Mia to be absolutely enchanting)
Want him to lay on top of you and crush you until all of your woes have been squeezed away? He will absolutely oblige you
Congratulations on your newly acquired teddy bear! Please don’t forget to feed him.
Literally just sit on his lap or wrap your arms around him whenever you want, he’s always down for a good snuggle.
He’s by far the nicest about it too, he won’t tease you about it and he will never hold back from telling you exactly how much he loves holding you in his arms
Definitely loves to be the big spoon but has no problems with being the little spoon either.
He’s just so fuckimg SWEET
Belphie
Oh, you're touch starved? Perfect. He's been in the market for a good snuggle buddy.
You silly human, why didn’t you come to him sooner?
Don’t listen to what Asmo says, snuggles are Belphie’s domain.
Once it’s established that you two are going to be snuggle buddies, he will literally just abduct you for snuggle time.
He doesn’t care what you’re doing, he’s going to throw you over his shoulder like a sack of flour and haul you off to his blanket nest whenever he wants.
He just wants you all to himself.
Will share your snuggle time with Beel tho.
After abducting you, he's just gonna toss you onto his bed and fall on top of you. He's really warm and he really just wants to lay on you. Partially so that you cant escape once he falls asleep lmaoo
He's happy to just talk to you about whatever you want while you guys get your snuggle on, but be warned: he's eventually going to fall asleep.
Probably mid sentence.
He won’t wake up when you poke at his cheeks or shake him, either. So uh. I hope you’re in the mood for a nap too!
Get matching sloth onesies with him. He’ll tell you it’s stupid but he’s actually thrilled with them. (Make sure you also get Beel a bear one though)

“Useless planning” - Sirius Black x reader
A/n: this is my first time writing Sirius even though I love him to death and he's my favourite... I lowkey think I didn't do a good enough job but oh well. Here it is, I hope you like it anyway.
Warnings: none, fluff all the way
Word count: 3K
(let me know if you wanna be added to the taglist)
Tumblr media
(I know this is Billy but I thought the sub to be quite fitting)
Insecurities were normal. Everyone has them. And the same went with flaws and imperfections. Nothing to be ashamed about. That's what y/n and Marlene were trying to convince Lily about. Of course, it's easier said than done but acknowledging the fact is the first step into accepting them.
"James tells me that they're beautiful and that I shouldn't worry about them but I don't know. I don't like them." Lily had confessed to feeling self-conscious about her scars and stretch marks and reticent she was in letting James see her body for this very reason. Of course, the boy you love telling you that you're beautiful the way you are is certainly flattering but not problem-solving in this case. At least, y/n thought so and let her friends know.
"I don't think seeing it that way is going to help."
"When has James helped to make something better?" Marlene snickered making y/n roll her eyes and Lily glower at her.
"They don't have to be beautiful and you don't have to look at them in that way. They're just natural, you know? There's a reason you have them, meaning that it's your body's reaction to something." Sometimes, it helped using the scientific approach. Others, however, sharing was indeed caring.
"And in fact, everyone has them. Look." So pulling her skirt up a bit, y/n showed the marks that adorned her thighs.
"How are you so confident about them?"
"I'm not, actually. And it has taken me a long time to accept them, let alone show them this way." In fact, it had taken a long time for y/n to come to terms with the way her body was and to accept it and love it. It was still a work in progress if she had to be honest. But she was not ashamed to wear shorts or mini skirts now and that was indeed progress.
"And, I'm not saying that James is wrong or anything. I'm sure he told you that because they're a part of you and that boy cherishes the ground you walk on like you're a saint or something. He just wants to help and that's sweet of him. I think though, that this is something you have to come to terms on your own too." Y/n felt like adding. By all means, James' efforts were appreciated but she didn't want her friend loving herself through someone elses' love.
"Y/n's right. Don't think you're beautiful because Jamesie says so but because you are." Marlene agreed before throwing a chocolate frog in her mouth.
"So you're saying that Sirius telling you you're beautiful didn't help you even a bit?" Lily threw with a suggestive raise of eyebrows pointed at y/n who barely shrugged not wanting to indulge her.
"It's like with Remus, you know? He has five people telling him that he's the most precious human being on this heart and that his scars hardly make him less attractive but does he agree? Of course not. And yeah, us telling him certainly helps but it's something he has to realize himself or the situation won't ever change." But she couldn't help herself and had to add, "Besides, Sirius says that about every girl at Hogwarts. It's hardly helpful."
"She has a point." Still munching on her sweet, Marlene agreed yet again even though this time her tone had grown sombre. It had been a while and she was over it but she had been one of those girls to make the mistake of fooling herself into thinking that Sirius was going to give her more.
"He doesn't look at them the way he looks at you though." Stubborn as always, Lily insisted.
"I'm sure it's 'cause he sees a challenge."
"If only he knew you liked him."
"Why don't you tell him, then? He's been after you since the year started." Following up on Marlene's lead, Lily wondered.
"Don't get me wrong, I like him alright. But I'm not interested in what he can give me."
"Mindblowing sex?" Marlene pointed out in an a-matter-of-fact tone
"Fleeting interest and attention." To which y/n sternly replied.
"His attention is hardly fleeting seeing as it's been months."
"Lily, why are you pursuing this? We both see how he is with girls and I refuse to end up like that."
"There's nothing wrong in liking someone and letting them know." Lily got defensive, maybe because she was thinking of James. Whatever the case, she wasn't going to change y/n's mind. She was not being delusional, just pragmatic.
"They're pathetic." Marlene snickered and even if y/n agreed to some degree, she ignored her.
"No there's not. It's the end result that I'm referring to." Y/n conceded but the problem wasn't that. It took a lot of courage to publicly pursue someone, that she had to admit.
"Which is?"
"Heartbroken," Marlene answered solemnly earning a nod from y/n.
The group of girls were utterly clueless about the material they had provided for the aforementioned guys who were currently under the invisibility cloak.
Remus rosy-cheeked but flattered at y/n's words. Not that it was the first time he had heard them but it was always nice to feel appreciated. James was glad that his efforts were not noticed by everyone but especially by Lily even though he didn't like the fact that she was still worrying about something that seemed so meaningless for him. Peter looked bored to death as he couldn't be bothered with girl problems while Sirius was pouting despite the fact that the girl he had been chasing for months had confessed to liking him back.
But that pout was short-lived as Sirius Black was known for being a man of action. Now that he knew why y/n was so reticent in giving in to his flirting, he had the key to solving this problem. The smirk he was so infamous for took its place on his lips while a plan was already forming in his mind.
"Stop blushing, Moony, we tell you that every day and so does y/n. Now c'mon I have a girl to woo." And with that, he pushed everyone away and filling them in on his plan when they were out of the girls' earshot.
The first phase of the plan was to take place in a couple of hours at lunch. He was to show that his attention was solely reserved for y/n and her only. Sirius knew that he had a reputation and even he was aware that he was a big flirt. While he knew that it was completely harmless, he could see how it looked in y/n's eyes. Or in everyone's really.
So when lunchtime came around, Sirius took his place at the Gryffindor table. Y/n usually sat with them, on the bench across from him and beside Remus. Deep in conversation with Moony, she didn't notice him sitting down but he didn't do anything to grab her attention. He waited patiently for y/n to be done with whatever she was talking about with Remus to finally speak.
"Hello there, angel. Aren't you looking cute tonight." The plan was in motion, his charm: on.
"Hi, Sirius." And yet, y/n appeared to be unbothered.
"I heard you got into a little of a catfight."
"You made it sound like we pulled each others' hair or something."
"Isn't that what happened?"
"Of course not. I was just telling Moony what happened, he can fill you in." She said dismissively while gathering her things.
"Why don't you do it?" Sirius tried to keep the desperation out of his voice but given the smirk Remus gave him, he was failing. Just like the first phase of his plan.
"I have a class to attend Black." Rolling her eyes at him, y/n stood up not before leaving a kiss on Remus' head, " see you later Moons."
"Don't I get a kiss too?" She heard Sirius' cry of indignation and didn't even turn around to respond.
"My kisses are for those you can appreciate them and you get far too many of those from others to do so."
"I swear if I didn't hear her before, I'd say she's head over heels for you," Sirius complained to his friend slouching in his seat. His eyes following her silhouette until y/n walked out of the room.
"She's my best friend." Shrugging his shoulders, Remus brushed away his worries. Yes, y/n was affectionate with him but she had always been this way. There was nothing romantic behind her gestures.
"We've known her the same amount of time, why is she so comfortable with you than she is with me? You're not the one constantly flirting with her."
"She's cautious about opening up with people and as you've heard before she doesn't trust you with her feelings." He pointed out what Sirius already knew given her previous confession. The first phase of the plan had seemingly failed. Y/n hadn't stuck around long enough for him to put it into motion but he had not lost hope yet.
"You seemed to have your work cut out for you though, Pads," Remus said after a while and told him about the fight he had mentioned when he first sat down. Apparently, some girl was complaining to one of her friends about him and the way he had treated her. What had made y/n compelled to butt in and defend his honour though, was that the girl had twisted what actually happened, spreading instead some nasty shit about him to no doubt get her revenge. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, after all.
"You know how much she hates confrontations and arguing but she went straight into one for you. It must mean you've done something right."
Sirius couldn't help the smile that found its way on his lips at Remus' words. He had gathered as much seeing as he knew her well. They had been friends since first year after all. Also, because that meant that he didn't need most of the phases of his plan but one: earning y/n's trust.
He knew that he had it in some quantity seeing as you were friends. He just had to nudge her to take a step in the direction he knew she wanted to take but was too afraid to.
So, when your last class ended, he made sure to be waiting for you outside. As always you were one of the last to get out, Marlene and Lily on your side.
"Since when do you specialize in chaperone activities, Black?" Marlene snickered when she noticed him leaning on the wall.
"Only for the fairest maiden of the kingdom, of course."
His charm was one of the things he was most known for but he had never been able to work his magic on you in that way. One day, you were talking with Remus about some books you were reading and how enchanted you were with old stories and myths and legends. Sirius of course had no idea what you were talking about, not having read that particular book, but he was familiar enough with the subject thanks to his education. So he had started talking like a medieval knight just to catch your attention and maybe to annoy you but he was pleased to notice the amusement in your eyes and how you'd respond to him in a similar tone, playing along with him. Whenever you two started talking like this, the others would always look at you weirdly but none of you seemed bothered by it, least of all Sirius. Whatever he could do to make you smile, he'd do it gladly.
"And to what do I owe the pleasure, dear sir?" She played along and Sirius was counting on it. He briefly threw a suggestive look at Lily who seemed to understand as she pulled Marlene away ignoring her protests.
"Oh no, the pleasure is all mine, my lady. Would you give me the honour of coming with me? I have a surprise for you." And to top it all, he offered her his arm. Y/n didn't know whether to roll her eyes at him or indulge him but she'd be lying to herself if she said that she wasn't intrigued.
"How can I say no when you ask so politely, sir."  And so she took his arm and followed him through the hallways up to the Astronomy Tower. Y/n knew what this place meant to Sirius. They had even spent a lot of time there together. It had kind of become their place when they needed some peace and quiet or to simply spend some time together away from the noisiness of the common room.
"I'm here to prove that I'm worthy of your affections, my chérie." He solemnly said after you sat down. If this whole thing had been somewhat normal between you, this was certainly not and it definitely took her by surprise.
"What are you talking about?"
"I know you like me, y/n."
"That's hardly a secret, Sirius. We're friends, of course, I like you."
"I mean, you like me as I like you. Not just as friends."
"Who told you?"
"Most importantly, I know why you're refusing my advances."
"Look, Sirius-"
"Please, let me say this first and I promise that I won't bother you after if you say no." Despite the pun he and his friends would always throw around, he wasn't known to be this serious and he hardly ever was. Taken back by the sheer determination she found in his eyes and in his tone, y/n simply nodded and let him talk.
"I understand your reservations, if I were you I'd be thinking the same. You know me though, y/n, better than most and you know that I care about you. I can see why you'd be afraid of opening your heart to me but I swear I wouldn't be insisting so much if I wasn't sure that this is what I want." y/n had never heard Sirius talk about his feelings so freely. She'd be lying if she denied how his words touched her, her heartbeat would give her away.
But there was also something else on stake.
"It's not that, Sirius."
"Then what is it? Don't you trust me?"
"I do trust you. It's just- I don't want to get heartbroken and ruin our friendship at the same time."
"If you trust me then why are you so sure that I'm going to hurt you?" Sirius wears his heart on his sleeve, that was one of the things y/n had always admired him for. How brave he was to always show and tell every that went pass his mind. Now, seeing him like this, arms crossed on his chest, his eyes flashing, her heart helpelessly hurt and she almost winced at the fact that she was hurting him.
"Oh no, Sirius, no. I don't think you'd do that willingly. After all, it's not anyone's fault if you lose interest in me or just stop caring for me in that way. And when that happens, I'm not sure I can go back to just being friends. Thus, ruining our group of friends and that is not something I'm willing to give up to attempt whatever it is you're proposing." She quickly tried to explain, desperate to make him see that it wasn't about him, not completely. Mostly, she was afraid. Afraid of admitting her feelings for him, afraid of indulging them knowing that when you have something special, it means that you can lose it.
"That goes both ways you know." But Sirius was always able to see right through her. And he knew what he felt and now that he also knew how she felt, he wasn't going to go down without a fight.
"I did not wake up yesterday and realized I have feelings for you, Sirius." she scoffed, not telling him that she had been in love with him since they come back from the summer break in their third year. They were now in their fifth.
"It didn't happen to me neither. If you haven't noticed, I've been chasing you for months."
"Yes, while always having an alternative option on the go."
"I thought you had learned by now not to listen to rumours." Sirius tilted his head in a way that reminded y/n of an adorable puppy.
"When it comes to you and girls, Sirius, they're not rumours. At least, not the part that interested me."
"What do you mean?"
"I know that you treat them right and I know that you don't offer them more than what you give them. Those are rumours they spread in hope that other girls will stay away from you and you'd go back to them. But you do get with them. Sure, Katy was talking bullshit about you being an asshole and I know that's not true but I also know that you have been with her."
"Then why is she still talking about it?"
"Don't know, angel. I'm pretty memorable if I do say so myself."
"So, you're saying that you haven't been with anyone in a year?"
"I've been too busy with you, chérie."
Well, that was news. Y/n had to admit that she hadn't seen this coming. And it definitely changed things. Sirius had been right when he said that she knew him better than most. And so, when she looked into his eyes, she knew that along with smug and cocky he was also being honest.
"Well, I've just checked your agenda, my love, and it seems it will be so for quite some time."
"Is that a threat or a promise?"
"A bit of both."
"I'm more than fine with it, angel. Now, give me a kiss and bring me to heaven."

powerpuff girls
summary: bricks writing challenge!! you and your kook boys argue flirt over your costumes. @bricksatanakinswindow
warnings: cursing, drinking, hints/talk of smut
word count: 1.3k
a/n: so this is technically kelce x reader but is pretty much kook boys x reader. the readers just a lil catch and all the boys want her. i just thought it needed two gifs oops
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Happy Halloween!” You yell in excitement with a little shimmy as Kelce opens the front door. Your elation quickly deflates on sight of the tall boy. He’s too busy ogling your outfit to notice your blatant frown.
“Now that is hot,” he obliviously drools over you. “Kelce! What are you wearing?” He shoots you a puzzled look. You glare as you zone in on his bubblegum pink attire. You already knew what the two dimwits in the vacant house would be wearing.
“Shit, y/n. I’m sorry. I completely forgot,” he scrambles to apologize for his innocent mistake. Weeks ago you and Kelce had decided to do a couples costume. He wasn’t your boyfriend or anything, but you were the closest with him out of the trio. It was a cheesy idea but you didn’t care. You two decided one extremely belligerent drunk night that he would be Hugh Hefner, which left you as a playboy bunny. The duo was definitely over done, but in your giddy intoxication it sounded like the best idea ever. You unintelligently assumed he would remember that conversation after that.
You were left standing on Rafe’s front porch in your lonely lingerie costume. Your large bunny ears on display slightly tilted from your pout. Your tight black one piece hugging all your curves in the right places as your fishnet stockings lengthen your legs. Kelce still standing dumbfounded at your risqué wear and height from your sharp stilettos, you sigh and push past him into the house.
“Holy shit,” Rafe’s jaw falls to the floor as he smacks Topper’s chest to get his attention. Topper’s eyes widen once he realizes what Rafe’s fussing about. “Fuck me. What are you wearing y/n?” You huff at your other friends as they gawk at you, not being used to seeing you show yourself off.
“Well somebody was supposed to match with me, but it looks like the bros beat the hoe this time.” You side eye Kelce as he shuts the front door looking guilty. “I said it was my bad. I was fucked up y/n. Can you ever forgive me?” he begs with his soft eyes and puffed out lip. You always had a weak spot for the broad, sensitive rich-skinned boy. I mean look at him, he’s a tall drink of water and you were always thirsty for him.
You pretend to mull it over, “I guess so. Anything for my favorite boy.” You wink at him and he instantly perks up. “Hey, what about us?” Topper sulks reeling for your attention. Rafe nods his head in agreement. “You know I love you all. C’mere,” as you motion grabby hands to your boys. They all eagerly wrap you in a group hug.
The boys did look amazing in color, so you couldn’t be too mad while eyeing them. Topper in his bright baby blue shade that brought out his eyes. He was definitely easy on the eyes, with his perfect smile and chiseled jawline. Rafe in a color that normally looked hideous on him was doing him wonders in a different shade. His seafoam green hue made him appear slightly evil, which gave you the chills. Him being Buttercup was fitting, since he was always a little grump. You weren’t sure how you got lucky with the smoking hot trio, but you were easily the main attraction tonight. Their toned and taut bodies had nothing on your wicked figure for the night.
“Now, when did you all decide to be the powerpuff girls?” you tease staring at their matching tight shirts, jeans, and color coordinated vans. They chuckle a little bit remembering the scene. Rafe has a smug look that tells you all you need to know, “Oh, it was just something that Maybank kid said.” Kelce high fives Topper, “It got us thinking about how cool we’d actually look, so here we are.” You narrow your eyes at their logic but decide it’s better not to ask questions.
“Before everyone gets here, shots?” Topper offers always being the first to initiate it. No one disagrees so he starts pouring double shots of vodka. “Doubles already? What are you guys trying to take advantage of me tonight?” you question jokingly scanning their faces.
They all laugh knowing they’d never. “Oh, we wouldn’t have to get you drunk for that. We know you’re dying to get us all in bed,” Rafe smirks sharing glances with the others. Kelce joins in, “All together, too.” And now they’re all doubled over trying to catch their breaths and stop the tears. You laugh along, but silently you know you wouldn’t say no to that. I mean just imagine. You shake your head to rid yourself of those impure thoughts of your friends.
Topper whips out his snapchat and starts recording as you all down your first shot of the night cheering ‘trick or treat’ together. You love being lame with your best friends. Some people start to arrive, so you make your rounds kissing each of your kook boys on the cheek as you know you won’t see them the whole night. You linger on Kelce just a bit longer and he takes notice looking you up and down.
Before they all run off you make once last pass at them, “Hm, guess I better go find my Hugh Hefner for the night?” They all instantly glare at you being considerably overprotective of any guy that comes near you. “Not a chance,” Rafe demands. “More like you’re our Hugh and we’re your house bunnies,” Topper lightens the mood but is still just as serious. Bubbles was a good selection for him. You ponder for a moment what they’d look like in a skimpy playboy outfit before Kelce interrupts. “If anyone’s gonna be your man for the night, it’s me.” Kelce was usually not one to speak up and make moves but that double shot apparently hit him. You all stare at him in shock from his confidence. As soon as the surprise wears off, you feel the heat rush through your body at his possession. Him being Blossom finally made sense as he took charge.
“Is that right?” you play along to his sudden courageousness. He doesn’t miss a beat as he nods his head. It seems as if the others register what’s happening and jump to their defense. “Hey, no fair I called dibs in like 4th grade,” Topper whines. Rafe rolls his eyes. “Fuck your dibs. I’m clearly the hottest, so I win by default.” They all start arguing, something about ‘dibs being sacred’ and ‘who is the hottest’. Clearly you’ve thought about them all that way, but have always been scared to break up your group dynamic. How could you ever choose? But now with the way Kelce had been giving you attention and asserting himself, you may be ready to risk it.
Nevertheless, for now you were fine with lowkey pining after them all as they did in return. You pour more shots during their debate and start handing them out as a distraction. “To my playboy bunnies?” They all sincerely smile at you and repeat your toast as you clink glasses.
Just as your finishing, the pogue clique saunters in. JJ takes one look at your group as he’s rendered speechless, before they all burst out laughing. “So your boys took my advice to heart, huh?” the blond boasts. You nod your head with a giant grin at how cute they looked, “yeah, it was kind of perfect for them.” JJ decides to be his charming self and take a chance, “You look kind of perfect for me.” You shake your head, he could never pass up a good pick up line and chance to rile up the others.
You mouth ‘smooth’ at him as the trio surrounds him ready to fight like always. You take this as your cue to leave. “I’m gonna do my rounds. Have fun boys,” you strut off into the now full swing party. You leave the boys who all have a special place for you in their heart to sort out their own problems, as you go find more trouble to stir up. Halloween always did bring out the wild side in everyone.

Slang: Father Garmadon & Reader
-saw a post about what if Garm spoke Gen Z slang and I got so inspired I just had to get out of my funk and write
-kinda a crack-ish one-shot??? [also UNEDITED so sorry if some things seem off/awkward]
-i may be gen z, but that doesn't mean I use slang much. I'm a bit old-fashioned, so I had to briefly look up a guide for help lol
Summary:
Someone (Kai or Jay) decided it would be fun to teach your dad Gen Z slang. Now you're stuck dealing with the aftermath.
"Dad--"
"I was bouta throw hands."
"Dad--"
"And so, I asked her to spill the tea, but (Y/n) refused to. I deadass thought she'd get heated over it."
He didn't seem to hear you calling him from across the courtyard, nor did he show any sign of actually paying attention to your presence. Overhearing him gossip like a high school girl to Jay made you send Lloyd a look of confusion.
He knitted his brows and made a face at your father. "What's wrong with him?" You shook your head with a sigh. "I think he's trying to be cool."
"Uh, cool?" inquired Lloyd. You absentmindedly shrugged and made your way over to Garmadon. "Dad, are you busy?" He turned to face you with a warm smile. "Ah, I haven't seen you since this morning." he noted. You blinked, sending Jay an odd glance. "I think that wss because you..."
"Were flexing on my dear brother? I have to say, I've got better drip than him."
Your jaw dropped and Jay let out a laugh that echoed throughout all sixteen realms. "Dad." you said. "No, no. Please don't speak like that." There was a hint of pleading in your voice because, well, hearing a hundred-something year old man speak like a person your age didn't exactly feel right.
In fact, you were sure it caused a disturbance in the force.
As if reading your mind, your father said, "You're capping. My vocabulary is fire."
"Pfft--!" You glanced over your shoulder at Lloyd. He had a hand over his mouth, and as soon as he caught the gaze of Garmadon, he burst into a fit of laughter. Your father suddenly smirked, but when you narrowed your gaze on him, it was gone. Jay made his way over to you and clapped a hand on your back. "Isn't this great? Your dad sounds like us!"
You rolled your eyes. "No, he sounds like you Jay." Jay pulled you close to his side and gave you a good shake. "Oh come on, let him have his fun! He's highkey enjoying this." You gave him a pointed look that made him let out one of his weird laughs.
"Jay's right." your father cut in. "This is sending me."
Never had you wanted to dig your own grave and take an early rest in your own coffin.
---
By noon, your father was still going strong with the slang. He used it like his life depended on, and your friends, oh what traitors, liked it. They actually enjoyed seeing your father as a loose, trendy guy who instead of scolded people, walked around saying silly things like, "Alright boys, let's get this bread! We gucci?"
Your Uncle Wu, on the other hand, didn't quite understand what was happening. He questioned your dad about it, then you, but you shrugged it off with an embarrassed shake of your head. "He's...in a funk." you had said.
"A 'funk', you say?"
---
"I am so woke."
You rolled your eyes.
"Yassssssss!" Garmadon glanced at you, as if he liked to watch the distaste growing on your face. "You're on point--oh, nope. That was a big yikes."
At this point, he was just doing it to annoy you, wasn't he?
---
"Yeet that punching bag, son!"
---
"I'm so done with the weather today."
---
"Shook!"
---
"Sick!"
---
"Highkey!"
---
"Lowkey!"
---
"Bro, you just gotta dab on the haters."
---
The slang was getting on your nerves, and you weren't sure how much more you could take. Just how long until he stopped this madness and acted like his regular self?
At dinner time, you decided enough was enough. This was getting out of hand, especially since your friends and brother joined in on the 'fun'. "Okay dad and family," you heaved in a deep breath to centre yourself. "Would you quit the whole slang act? There's got to be a reason as to why you're...you know..." You made a motion with your hand and trailed off.
An awkward silence followed, but it trighered an odd reaction of smirks amoung your dad and familh. "She did better than I thought." he remarked.
"Better than what?" you snapped. Zane smiled and held out a hand in front of the boys. "It seems I'm the winner."
Lloyd sassily rolled his eyes, mind him, completely ignoring your question. "Zane always wins bets." Cole grumpily handed Zane a few coins. "That's because he's a nindroid. Whose idea was it to even place bets with him?" Jay shuffled around in his pockets, sending Kai a glare. "Who else? Because of you, I'm losing all of this week's allowance to Zane!"
"Hey, don't look at me! It was Garmadon's idea from the start."
"Oh come on Kai," scolded Nya, "why'd you have to give it away?"
Your gaze zeroed on the man only a few seats across the table. He sheepishly smiled, raising his hands in defense. "I was testing your patience, alright? Your friends said you've been having a problem with patience as of late, so I may or may not have been curious to see the extent of it."
You let out a long, tired sigh. "And you all were in on it?" There was a group of mumbled 'yes's' from everyone but Wu. He merely watched the exchange with a look of interest and awed confusion.
"First Spinjitzu Master," you grumbled, "why are you all like this?"

Field Trip
“You want to go to Chicago with me?”
I coughed, having almost inhaled a chunk of pineapple off my slice of GrubHubbed pizza. We were sitting on the grass outside Forks And Spoons under the shade of the maple trees, which were turning from jade to ruby to amber to fool’s gold, rejoining the earth they once rose from one fallen leaf at a time. It hadn’t rained in almost four days—was that some kind of record?!—and the leaves littering the ground crunched when I stepped on them, which I did purposefully and often. The breeze was soft and whispery and temperate. I could get used to this whole having actual seasons thing. “What, in like a hypothetical, at some point in my life kind of way?”
Joe smiled. His U Chicago hoodie of the day was black. “No, as in this weekend.”
“Really?”
“The Cubs have a game on Saturday, and it’s supposed to be rainy and overcast the whole time, and I just thought...” He shrugged, toying with a piece of pizza crust before tossing it to the squirrels. He’s nervous, I realized. How the hell do I have the ability to make the sexy undead Italian man nervous? “It might be nice for us to be able to get away for a few days. Away from my family. Away from Charlie. Not that I don’t appreciate the ambient noise of his snoring from the living room couch, it’s super endearing, I seriously consider dating him instead of you at least twice a week.”
“Go for it. Charlie could use a rich husband. His pension is pathetic.”
“You wouldn’t miss me?”
“I am not necessarily opposed to clandestinely seducing my sugar daddy stepdad should the occasion arise.”
Joe crossed himself like a nun passing tattooed, cursing, lip-pierced teenagers on the sidewalk. “Lord, protect me from this harlot.”
A weekend away. No Charlie, no constant and chaotic whirlwind of Lees, no Ben. I hadn’t spoken to Ben since our misadventure in the Lee kitchen; if he wasn’t avoiding me of his own volition, he was following orders to stay away. Joe claimed that they’d talked it out. I wasn’t sure if I believed him. “I accept your invitation. Although, truthfully, I’d rather get hit by a bus than watch an entire real-life, no-commercial-breaks baseball game.”
“I accept your acceptance. And I’ll throw in a visit to the Shedd Aquarium, just for you. They have baby sea otters.”
“Sweet.” I checked my iPhone. “I’m gonna be late for Chemistry.”
“Anything fun planned?”
“We’re doing a lab involving hydrochloric acid. I’m highly concerned that Ben will accidentally spill some on himself. The miraculous instantaneous healing thing might raise a few questions.”
“Hm,” Joe replied. But he wasn’t looking at me; he was looking at my bandaged hand. And he wasn’t smiling anymore.
“Joe, I’m fine.”
“Yeah.” He took a preoccupied swig of his Dr. Pepper. Solemnity never seemed right on him; it was like he was wearing somebody else’s skin. “You’ve mentioned that.”
“Hey. Mob guy.”
Now his eyes flicked to mine.
“No more sad spaghetti.”
“Okay.” He surrendered, took my face in his hands, gave me a kiss on each cheek and then one quick parting peck on the forehead. “You win. I’m not sad. I’m ecstatic, actually. I’m gonna be eating my weight in hotdogs and mustard-slathered pretzels on Saturday. What’s there not to be ecstatic about?”
“The fact that your license says you’re only twenty and consequently can’t get a beer?”
Joe blinked, remembering. “Fuck.”
I drained my Diet Coke, flung my pizza crust to the skittering grey squirrels—no eerie albino forest friends today—and pulled on my backpack. “See ya. Have an awesome time in Game Theory.”
“Thanks, I probably won’t!” he chimed, waving, grinning compliantly; and yet did I still sense some lingering menace of disquiet, of fear? I suspected I did. Chicago would cure everything.
Ben tensed when I walked into Professor Belvin’s classroom, ran his fingers through his unruly blond hair, peered fixedly down at his notebook and feigned obliviousness. There was already a metal tray of Erlenmeyer flasks, labeled bottles of solutions, burettes, goggles, gloves, and an unassembled ring stand crowding our small table by the open window. Autumn air poured in like seawater through cracks in the hull of a ship.
“Guess who’s gonna see the Cubs play up close and personal this Saturday?” I announced.
He pretended to have just noticed me. “...You...? But that doesn’t sound like you.”
“It was Joe’s idea. I’m acting like I’m not totally thrilled and freaking out about it, but I am. Don’t tell him.”
Now Ben was the one staring at my bandaged hand. His green eyes were large and unfocused.
“I’m fine,” I insisted.
“Sure,” Ben returned noncommittally.
I started skimming through the packet of lab instructions and setting up our titration experiment as Professor Belvin circulated through the classroom, observing, commenting, offering suggestions and critiques. My wounded hand—still sore in the lull between Advil doses and relatively useless—was quite the embarrassing hinderance; I fumbled with a large glass flask and almost dropped it.
Ben shook his head and reached out to stop me. “Here, oh my god, this is so pitiful, sit down. Please sit down. I’ll set it up. It’s the least I can do.”
“Thanks.” I peeked at his notebook. “Your handwriting is atrocious. Haven’t you had like a century to work on that?”
“Penmanship was never at the top of my to-do list, tragically.”
“What language is that, anyway?” The phrases scrawled in black ink in Ben’s notebook definitely weren’t English. Or Italian. “Elvish? Are you a lowkey Lord Of The Rings fan? Magic and self-sacrifice and nearly insurmountable evil, I could see that being your thing.”
He smirked, struggling with the ring stand. “It’s Welsh.”
“Welsh,” I repeated, perplexed. “Welsh...like how Gwil is Welsh?”
“Precisely.”
Professor Belvin checked in on us, nodded in approval, reminded me that I was always welcome to stop by at bowling league activities, and resumed his wandering.
“Gwil still speaks it,” Ben continued. “The rest of them speak it too. At least enough for basic communication.”
“I didn’t know,” I said, fascinated, examining the long, unfamiliar words riddled with Ls and Ws and Cs. “But that must be very useful.”
“It is. Welsh is nearly a dead language at this point. It’s like talking in code. I always refused to learn it on principle...or maybe I was just being difficult. I would study other languages, Arabic, Japanese...but not Welsh. That was always Gwil’s language. Their language. It was a Lee thing. But now...”
“Now you’re sort of a Lee too,” I finished for him, smiling.
“Whatever,” Ben said, hiding behind his bangs.
I watched him as he at last tamed the ring stand, secured the burette, placed the Erlenmeyer flask. Then he began reading the labels on the solution bottles. “Guess what else.”
“What, Baby Swan?”
I grinned, showing off my unremarkable, entirely benign human teeth. “I’ll bring you back your very own U Chicago hoodie.”
That night, after a pleasantly prosaic dinner with Charlie—burgers, one veggie and one of the conventional variety, and milkshakes at Danny’s Diner—I started packing a small, Arizona-sky-blue suitcase as sparse raindrops pattered against the roof and moonlight streamed in through the open window. Then I ticked off my mental inventory.
“Jeans, sweaters, pajamas, socks...”
I pawed through the top drawer of my old, scratched dresser—the same one that had once upon a time been Renee’s—and contemplated the bra and panty options. Would my theme be comfort and practicality, or feral impenitent seductress? Friday and Saturday in Chicago would be our first nights alone together. That had to be significant, right? After some deliberation, I gathered a handful of lacy, transparent, and/or exceptionally skimpy lingerie from Victoria’s Secret that Jessica had more or less forced upon me during a shopping trip in Port Angeles last month. As I dropped them into the open suitcase, I glanced up to see the albino owl outside my open bedroom window.
“You never know,” I told the owl, shrugging.
It leered judgmentally back at me with those gory red eyes.
“Oh shut up. How many eggs have you laid in your lifetime, Casper The Unfriendly Ghost? Probably like a bazillion. Freaking feathery trollop.”
The owl had nothing to offer in its own defense.
“Why don’t you ever come around when Joe’s here? I’m sure he’d love to meet you. He’s pale and weird too. Although I like his eyes a little better than yours. No offense, Snowflake.”
The owl blinked, tilted its gaze at me, ruffled its feathers and sent the raindrops that had gathered there flying in every direction.
I slid my iPhone out of my back pocket, spun around, and snapped a quick selfie with the owl in the background. “Say cheese, Marshmallow!”
The owl immediately unfurled its wings and flapped off into the trees, vanishing.
“Huh. I guess homegirl is camera shy.” I texted my selfie to Archer, typing out with my thumbs: I am the Steve Irwin of Forks. Behold, one of my many forest friends.
Archer replied a few minutes later: WOW! Pasty and mildly disturbing. Exactly your type. :)
“Yours too, apparently,” I murmured, smiling in my empty room.
I went to my full-length mirror with the plastic, teal-colored border, briefly appraised my reflection, felt a dull swell of approval for what I saw there. The version of myself that had once been so consumed by fears of inadequacy seemed impossibly far away, maybe even fictitious, a dream so vivid I could mistake it for truth. Three things were taped across the top of the mirror: Joe’s Official Citation!! No More Sad Spaghetti!! post-it, his Official Whatever You Want Pass, and a photo of us dressed up together and standing in front of the limo in the Lees’ driveway just before the Calawah University Homecoming dance. I peeled off the Official Whatever You Want Pass, carefully folded it into a neat little square, and tucked it into my wallet.
When the rain began to pour and thunder rolled in off the Pacific Ocean, I closed my bedroom window; but I remembered to leave it unlocked for Joe.
Departure
“Got your license?”
“Yes, Dad,” Joe sighed.
“Got your airport snacks?”
Joe held up the gallon-sized Ziploc bag filled with pumpkin and white chocolate chip cookies. “We’re ready to rock.”
“Call me when you get there safe,” Mercy fretted, hugging me and then Joe. “And Joseph, sweetheart, you make sure you keep an eye on her. She’s never been to Chicago before, it’s a big city, and O’Hare is an absolute nightmare, it’s so easy to get lost...”
“I don’t think he needs any reminders, love.” Dr. Lee laid a hand on her shoulder, stroked his neatly-trimmed beard with the other, watched us with a vague and wistful smile.
Mercy went back to trimming the flowers she had spread out across the kitchen countertop, white calla lilies that she threaded one by one into a translucent sapphire blue vase. “Now don’t forget to say goodbye to your brother. He’s out back feeding the new ducks. And I expect these ones to stick around for a while, thank you very much.”
“Mom, I don’t need to say goodbye to Rami. I’ll just think it. Really loudly.” Joe rubbed his temples with his fingertips and squeezed his eyes shut. “Peace out, you nosy bastard.”
“Joseph,” Mercy pleaded.
“Okay, okay, I’ll go say goodbye. Don’t get all aggressive. Don’t take it out on the flowers.” Aggressive...what a joke. I doubted that Mercy Eleanor Lee, formerly Martin, had a single aggressive bone in her immortal body; not even the infinitesimal stapes of her inner ears or the sesamoids of her feet.
“They’re calla lilies,” she replied dreamily, tending them like children. “And they symbolize love, and beauty, and fidelity...”
My nostrils itched and burned faintly in dissent. “I think I’m allergic to them.”
“You’re allergic to fidelity?” Joe asked, raising his eyebrows. “That’s it, now you’re definitely not getting my reclaimed virginity. No ma’am. I am not hit-it-and-quit-it material.”
“Oh sweet baby Jesus,” Mercy murmured.
“I’m going,” Joe said, showing his palms in capitulation and disappearing out the back door. I dragged my suitcase to the front one, politely declining Mercy and Gwil’s offers to help.
Lucy—her bleached hair in a high half-ponytail and wearing polka-dotted black tights, combat boots, a plaid miniskirt, and an extremely Octoberish orange sweater—was sitting cross-legged on the roof of Gwil’s Volvo. God, he’s such a dad. “Have a nice time,” she chirped artfully.
I opened the hatch of Joe’s Subaru and threw my suitcase inside. “Why do you sound like you already know I will?”
“I might have some relevant clairvoyant insight.”
“No way.” I stared up at her, stunned, my hands on my waist. “But you can’t see me, right...?”
“True. But this vision wasn’t of you. It was of Joe. You just happened to be there.”
Interesting. Very interesting. “And what transpired in this vision?” A night full of hot, steamy, blissful vampire sex? A girl could dream.
Lucy closed her eyes, recalling it fondly, maybe even cherishing it. “You were sitting in the stands of a professional baseball game. I could hear the crowd roaring, the umpire’s trumpeting interruptions. Blue and white...everyone was wearing blue and white. And you were there together—Joe a vampire, you human, side by side, almost entwined—shouting to each other over the thunderous noise and laughing and pushing nuggets of soft pretzels into each other’s mouths. So happy. I’d never seen Joe so happy.” Her striking pale eyes came open. “And he’s someone who’s already rather prone to happiness, as I’m sure you’ve noticed.”
“I have,” I agreed.
“He’s never been serious about anybody else. I hope you know that.”
“I know that’s what he tells me.”
“It’s the truth,” Lucy insisted. “I would know if it wasn’t. Rami would know, Ben would know. Joe...he’s kind of the opposite of you. He’s always been the easiest to read. He’s the one Rami hears most loudly, the one who shows up most often in my visions. He’s clear, you know? Uncomplicated. Authentic. And what you mean to him...it’s something everybody sees. It’s a contagious sort of lightness, of joy. So thank you for that.”
And if whatever mysterious genetic switch that renders me immune to your talents wasn’t flipped, I’m pretty sure I’d look the same way. “I should definitely be thanking you,” I said. “You guys have a pretty cool existence going on here. And I’m so grateful to be invited into it.” For however long this lasts, anyway.
“None of us really invited you,” Lucy demurred. “We just let it happen.”
“So everyone knew I was coming? Because you saw it?”
“Everyone but Joe.”
“You never told him?”
“No. Not even now.” Lucy turned sharply towards the trees, as if she heard something in the soaring western hemlocks that swayed drunkenly in the wind. After a moment, she continued. “I’m not sure if I can even explain why. It wasn’t that I feared changing the timeline or something...my visions always come true regardless. Always. But I guess...” She tugged on her short half-ponytail, pondering. “I guess I didn’t want to cloud any of his decision-making, any of his emotions with the specter of the inevitable. I wanted whatever he felt for you to be completely organic. And it is.”
I considered her. “You are extremely thoughtful for someone who spends as much time shopping as you do.”
Lucy laughed in a high-pitched, almost juvenile trill, netting her fingers beneath her chin, her elbows resting on her bent knees. “I do like to shop. I didn’t always though.” She peered off into the trees again, this time pensively. “Did Joe tell you anything about my life before Gwil saved me?”
“Aside from the copious hippie jokes, not really.”
She nodded, her eyes far-away and still lost in the forest. “Gwil and Mercy are inordinately wonderful people. My biological father and mother, unfortunately, were not. And maybe they couldn’t help it, because from what I understand their parents were monsters too. I don’t think of them very often now, not even to resent them. But when I was alive I burned with it, with all that hatred, with all that bitterness. Every bruise was another log on the fire. Every screaming match or hurled plate was a splash of gasoline. So I ran away and found what I fancied to be a new family, and I lived on basement couches and out of vans and in abandoned buildings, and I explored increasingly inventive ways of putting that fire out.”
The October breeze cascaded through the trees, carrying echoes of birdsong and disembodied distant voices and the scent of pine. It reminded me of Joe.
“Chemically speaking,” Lucy said, “that first hit of heroin, that first high...it’s the best you’ll ever feel in your entire life. Nothing else will ever compare. Not skydiving, not backpacking through Southeast Asia on some Pulitzer-prize-winning journey of self-discovery, not winning the lottery, not the births of your children, not falling in love. And once you accept that, what’s the point in stopping? Everything you ever experience will live in the shadow of that needle. You’re twenty-five and you’ve already seen the endgame. You’re born, you suffer, you catch a glimpse of paradise, you pay bills and push shopping carts down the aisles of grocery stores and insipidly smile your way through your husband’s work parties until you die. What’s the fucking point? So I didn’t stop shooting heroin. And the whole time, I knew it was killing me. That’s what they don’t tell kids when they force them to make those idiotic classroom promises to never do drugs. You know it’s killing you, but you don’t care. Because it feels so goddamn good. Because it becomes the only sliver of your existence that doesn’t cut like glass beneath your skin. Sometimes you love things so much you let them kill you, isn’t that ridiculous?”
I wasn’t sure how to answer her; still, I heard my own voice: “Yes, it is.”
“It took dying for me to see that life is worth living. That there’s magic in the mundane and the frivolous. And that there’s beauty everywhere if you bother to look for it.” Lucy uncrossed her trim legs, leapt gracefully off the Volvo, and—with definite but not unkind scrutiny—pulled at the collar of my thrift shop sweater. “Even in your very, very, very misguided fashion preferences.”
The front door of the Lee house swung open, and Joe jogged out, carrying his suitcase. Gwil, Mercy, Scarlett, Rami, and Ben appeared on the porch to wave us off.
“What’d you do?!” Joe demanded, pointing at Lucy.
“Nothing,” she quipped.
“You guys gotta stop doing this!” Joe exclaimed. “You know what you’re doing, you know exactly what you’re doing, you gotta stop cornering people and forcing them to listen to your creepy tragic backstories! Nobody freaking asked!”
Lucy chuckled patiently and stood on her tiptoes to hug him goodbye. “Have fun.”
“You know it.” Joe tossed his suitcase into the Subaru and opened the driver’s door. “Ready, Baby Swan?”
“Almost.”
I walked to the wrap-around porch, climbed the steps, held my hand out to Ben. My stitches had almost completely dissolved over the past week, and the clunky impediment of bandages was no more. Joe crossed his arms and watched from beside the Subaru with an uneasy frown, but he didn’t try to stop me. He nodded to Rami, so subtly I almost didn’t notice. Rami nodded back.
“I will miss your melodramatic brooding immensely,” I told Ben. “Please do some fun family stuff while we’re gone. I’ll see you soon. Dan eich bendith.”
“Dan eich bendith,” he replied, taken aback. And then, after a moment’s hesitation, he ignored my outstretched hand and embraced me, his grasp so strong and yet so careful. His scent like crisp leaves and salted caramel and autumn sieved into a bottle unfolded in my lungs like an opened book.
“I Googled that especially for you,” I whispered. “You’re welcome.”
“I’m in awe.” His words were characteristically sardonic, but I heard warmth in them as well. When Ben pulled away, I saw that everyone else was smiling. Mercy had tears in her eyes.
I retreated back down the porch steps and met Joe by the Subaru. “Okay, mob guy. I’m good.”
He slid on his sunglasses, shook his head, flashed a proud and toothy grin. “You definitely are.”
All the way down Route 101 to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, we listened to Joe’s classic rock mixtapes and my NOAA Ocean Podcast episodes, reviewed the weekend itinerary, ran through the bare essentials for me to understand an MLB game (“Which I am totally not excited about whatsoever,” I informed Joe, who knew enough not to believe me).
When the Boeing 747 ascended above the clouds and unimpeded sunlight poured in from the other passengers’ windows, Joe put on a black sleeping mask over his sunglasses and reclined his seat, tried to nap, passed the time until he would be safe beneath the curtains of the sky again.
Somewhere over the Dakotas, as I leafed through a book about the Great Barrier Reef for my Marine Botany class, Joe’s hand bumped mine. “Hey,” he said drowsily, seriously; and I braced myself for some emotional declaration, some dire warning, some grave realization of the futility of what we agreed—almost always wordlessly, and yet unfailingly—was love.
“Yeah?”
“It’s an emergency.”
“Uh oh,” I replied, smiling now.
“Flag down the flight attendant and get some more of those honey roasted peanut packets,” Joe said. “I’m starving myself back to death over here.”
The Windy City
The bat cracked deafeningly against the baseball pitched at nearly a hundred miles per hour. It was a home run. The crowd erupted into mindless, primal shrieks of conquest; and when Joe jumped to his feet, clapping and cheering and nearly spilling his blue-and-white bucket of popcorn, I found that I did as well. I screamed for the team of a city I’d never lived in, sank back into my seat beside Joe, nestled against his chest as his right arm closed around my waist and hauled me in closer, as his left hand teased me with a soft pretzel nugget hovering just out of reach. And in that moment, I felt like Lucy, snatching Polaroids out of the space-time continuum of the present and the future and the past. There was where Joe and I were right now, of course; the day we had met each other in the nonfiction section of the Calawah University library; the dance floor at Homecoming; the first night he snuck soundlessly into my bedroom window; all those years we still had left to spend together. Not forever, but perhaps long enough.
“I like this baseball thing,” I told him over the roar of the crowd, twirling my fingers around the curling locks of dark hair that stuck out from under his Cubs cap. Or maybe I just like you.
“Whew, thank god.” Joe wiped his forehead with the back of his hand in mock relief. “Now I don’t have to break up with you.”
After the game—a 5-3 Cubs victory, close enough to keep the spectators’ blood pumping throughout—we boarded the L, held onto the metal railings as the packed train car bumped and swerved along, and disembarked in Little Italy. Historic brownstones were interrupted by a freckling of pizzerias, Italian ice stands, and sports bars spilling out shouts of triumph and despair. We were staying in the Four Seasons with a view of Lake Michigan; but we had an hour of daylight—albeit chilled, dreary, and forever threatening rain—left in our Saturday. Tomorrow would be the aquarium, and then dinner before catching our flight back to Seattle, back to the greenery and fog and eternal dampness that I was beginning to think of as my home. Had I really only left Phoenix two months ago? Had I ever really lived there at all?
“So,” Joe said as we walked under shedding green ash and black cherry trees, his arm draped across my shoulders. “Guess what the University of Chicago has. In addition to a killer Economics PhD program, which yours truly will be graduating from in approximately 2027, astonishingly aged not a single day. Maybe he’s born with it, maybe it’s Maybelline.”
“Hideous sweatshirts?” I guessed.
“One of the best Marine Biology departments in the world. And the affiliated Marine Biological Laboratory up in Massachusetts, where they send their PhDs to do research.”
“Wait, seriously?” I stopped abruptly, the heels of my boots squealing against the sidewalk. “You mean...for me?”
He rolled his eyes. “No, for my other girlfriend who is also inexplicably super obsessed with the ocean. I clearly have a type.”
“You want me...to come to Chicago...with you...after graduation? For like...a five to seven year commitment?”
“Sure, why not?”
“Well, that just sounds...serious.”
“Huh. What do you know. I guess we’re serious after all.” He took my hand and pulled me gently forward, leading me down West Taylor Street. He seemed to have a destination in mind.
“How is this going to work for you, anyway?” I asked, beaming uncontrollably now, trotting along beside him. “Living in a place that isn’t Washington or Scotland or Alaska?” Chicago was cold and cloudy for a lot of the year, true, but few cities were Forks-level wet and sunless. Forks-level tyrannically depressing, I would have said two months ago.
He shrugged, unphased. “Night classes. Sunglasses. Faking a chronic illness so I don’t have to leave our house. I’m really good at that one. Plus I can get a doctor’s note any time I want one. I’ve got connections, you know.”
Our house. He said OUR house.
Joe came to halt in front of a stately yet plain brownstone which now operated as a trendy bookstore, the kind that sold six dollar lattes and hosted anarchist poetry slams on Friday nights.
“Is this where we’re going to crack hipsters’ kneecaps as a bonding activity?” I asked.
“This is where I grew up.”
I looked again, studying the earth-colored stone quarried over a century ago, the wrought iron railings that framed the front steps, the rectangular windows revealing the illumination and shadows of other families’ lives. “Joe,” I said softly, leaning into him, searching for my words.
“There were eight Mazzello kids: Joseph, Charles, Mimi, Salvador, Donna, Lucia, Bianca, and Giuliano.” He rattled them off like a jingle from a fast food commercial. “And I was the oldest. So when my dad dropped dead of a heart attack in the middle of his shift at the Zenith Radio factory, it was my job to step up and figure out how to keep everyone fed. I was seventeen and completely hopeless at school back then; Sal was always the smart one, the disciplined one, he ended up as a math professor at Loyola University. I was just some directionless, grieving kid who never shut up. But there was a place for boys like me in Chicago in the 1920s. The mob could get you money. The mob could turn that same incessant chatter that got you bruised at school into something useful. And the mob could give you a family.”
Joe watched the brownstone solemnly, meditatively, his hands in his pockets.
“My mom sobbed for an hour the first time I brought home an envelope full of bills with Hamilton’s face on them. She knew how I got it. But how could she say no, how could she tell me to stop? We’d never seen money like that. All my siblings could finish school. My sisters could have new dresses on days that weren’t Christmas and Easter, my brothers new shoes, Sal the glasses he needed so badly. My mother always had something to put in the offering plate at church. And once you were in the mob, it wasn’t exactly easy to leave. But they took care of their own. After I died, they sent my mother money for years, until her own children were established enough to support her. That’s when I learned that money wasn’t just something that put food on the dinner table or kept the lights on. It’s a way of showing loyalty, of giving people peace and comfort and meaningful choices in their lives. It’s how I’ve been taught to give back to the world. So I guess I shouldn’t have disparaged my fellow vampires back in Forks, because there’s a slice of my tragic backstory, Baby Swan. Now you know. And you should know everything, since we’re in this thing together. Or maybe I just want you to.”
I laid my palm against his cool and flawless face, ran my thumb lightly across his cheek. “You really are serious about me.”
“I am alarmingly serious about you.”
“Even though this thing of ours has an expiration date?” Since I can never become a vampire. Since I will never have the distinction of being a permanent fixture of the Lee coven.
“That’s not a problem for today. That’s a problem for ten or fifteen years from now, whenever you decide you want to settle down and have kids and do the whole Great American Dream bit. You’ll be sick of me by then anyway. You’ll be dying to get away from us. Hahaha, get it? It’s a pun. Dying to get away from the vampires.”
I couldn’t imagine ever being sick of Joseph Francis Mazzello. Still, ten or fifteen years felt almost as good as forever to me. Fifteen autumns, fifteen Christmases, fifteen journeys around the sun that he avoided so deftly. “Why me, Joe?” I asked, incredulous. “You could have anyone. Any human, any vampire. Why me?”
“Because you’re you,” he said simply. And his mystified dark eyes added: What kind of a question is that? “You’re smart and you’re hilarious and you actually care about the world, about where it came from, about where it’s going, about people and places and animals that you’ll never meet. You’re indomitable. You’re fearless almost to the point of recklessness. And yet you’re so kind. You’re even nice to Ben, and humans are never nice to him...they’re either horrified or confused, or they’re too busy fantasizing about him to remember that he’s a real fucking person. But you’ve always tried to see the good in him. Even when he didn’t deserve it.” Joe shook his head, marveling. “And yeah, I’ve...I’ve screwed around, full disclosure. I’ve done the hookup thing. And it was great for what it was. But I never wanted more. I never felt some gnawing, sentimental, Hallmark-channel need for connection, to understand who they were as people. And then I met you, and...I want to know every single goddamn thing about you. I want to know your favorite color, what books you read, what the hell is so appealing about pineapple pizza, what you dream of. I feel like I could never get tired of trying to understand you.”
A refrain circled through my mind like a whirlpool, dragging every other thought down into oblivion: I love him, I love him, I love him. “Blue,” I said at last.
“What?”
“Turquoise blue, like the sky in Arizona. That’s my favorite color.”
The smile, slow and wonderous, rippled across his face. He took my hand again. “Come on.”
Joe led me onwards, down a few blocks and around a corner, as the muted sun receded from the sky and the first stars took its place, pinpricks of celestial light in a blanket of violet, azure, amber, rust. He stopped in front of the Church of Saint Lawrence, established in 1902 according to the sign mounted on the brick wall that faced the street, perhaps the same church that he had once visited with his family as an impatient child, snickering with his brothers and sisters and kicking the back of the pew in front of him with shoes that never fit quite right. There was a fountain bubbling with transparent water, a statue of the Virgin Mary at the center, coins made of copper and nickel and zinc glinting through the water under corridors of silvery luminance cast by the streetlights.
“I lied about not having my own superpower,” Joe informed me mischievously, not at all serious.
“Oh, did you now?”
“Absolutely.” He opened his wallet, rooted around, pulled out a penny and handed it to me. “I can make wishes come true. So go ahead.” He nodded towards the fountain. “Make your wish.”
The penny was worn and nearly indecipherable, but I was just barely able to read that it had been minted in 1928. The same year Joe was turned. “Joe...I can’t just throw this away!”
“You’re not throwing it away. You’re exchanging it for a wish. Now wish.”
I closed my eyes, chose my wish, tossed the penny into the fountain. The plink it made when it hit the water was bright and yet mournful somehow, like windchimes, like flickering candlelight.
“Outstanding job,” Joe complimented.
He was so visibly proud, so content, so faultless. The streetlights threw shadows across the sidewalk, the fountain, the whole world it seemed. I laced my fingers behind his neck, gazing up at him. “What are we doing tonight, mob guy?”
“I’m so glad you asked. You see, we have options.”
“Let’s hear them.”
“Door Number One,” Joe began. “It’s been a long day, and you’re exhausted from the illustrious honor of witnessing a Cubs victory firsthand. So we go back to the hotel, find some shark documentary on tv, order room service, shower, and drift off into a peaceful slumber. Just like last night.”
“Not bad. How about Door Number Two?”
“Door Number Two. You’re tired, but not that tired. We go back to the hotel, find that same aforementioned shark documentary, but totally ignore it and make out instead. Maybe we even round second base, in the spirit of the Cubs. Whatever you’re up for. Then we shower and drift off into a peaceful slumber.”
“Even better,” I said, and I meant it. “And what’s Door Number Three?”
Now Joe became jittery; his eyes darted to the fountain, the church, the cars that rolled lazily by. He was so desperate to conceal his hope, to not impose any undue influence upon me. I felt infinitesimal, almost weightless drops of rain against my cheeks, my collarbones, the downy undersides of my arms. “Well, uh, Door Number Three is...it’s...well...uh...it’s...”
Door Number Three is a home fucking run. “I want Door Number Three.”
“Really? Because you don’t have to say that, you can say no, that’s completely fine, it’s more than fine actually, it’s awesome, it’s totally cool, I’m seriously fine either way, and you can obviously change your mind whenever—”
“Wait.” I broke away from him, yanked my own wallet out of my purse, found the Official Whatever You Want Pass, hastily unfolded it, and presented it to Joe. “I want Door Number Three.”
He barked out a shocked laugh, accepted the pass, studied it in disbelief. “You are full of surprises, ma’am. It took me a hundred years to find a woman like you. And I don’t think I ever will again. Makes one wonder if this whole eternity thing is all it’s cracked up to be.” He tucked the pass into his pocket and kissed me beneath the streetlights, beneath the stars. “So there’s one tiny caveat to my wish-granting superpower.”
“Yeah?”
He smiled impishly, nudging the tip of my nose with his. “You have to tell me what you wished for.” He was joking, as he almost always was; I didn’t have to tell him anything. He wouldn’t press the issue. I doubted that he was really expecting me to answer at all. And yet I wanted to tell Joe; I yearned, for once, to be as clear as Lucy had said he was.
“For you and me,” I replied in little more than a whisper. “And for forever.”
Home
The only thing that startled me was how profoundly unstartling it all was, how wholly uncomplicated, how effortless.
I didn’t feel like a different person afterwards. I didn’t feel that some latent spark of lust, of carnality had been ignited, had singed through me, had left me forever marked like the heights of children ticked off on a doorframe over decades; I felt neither ruined nor awakened, no wiser, no older, no more enlightened as to the incalculable eccentricities of the vast and enigmatic universe. I felt only happiness, and exhausted satisfaction, and a deep, dreamless peace that engulfed me like frothy fingertips of waves dragging pebbles and shells back into the sea. I felt only a homecoming that was measured not in miles but in soul.
We slept in as the morning sun rose over Lake Michigan, bought Ben a hoodie (black, of course, per his usual aesthetic) from the University of Chicago gift shop, strolled unhurriedly through the dimly-lit, relentlessly blue pathways of the Shedd Aquarium. As I stood in the glass tunnel and watched sawfish and blacktip reef sharks soar by overhead, Joe linked his arms around my waist, tucked his chin into the dip of my collarbone, kissed the slope of my jaw.
“What do you think?” he asked, perhaps a touch apprehensively. “Could you get used to the Chicago life for a few years?”
“I would be tempted to kidnap some of these guys and bring them home to live in our bathtub. But yes.”
And Joe murmured, smiling, his lips to my temple: “That’s illegal, ma’am.”
Our flight back to the West Coast took off after dusk, and there was no blinding sunlight for Joe to avoid; only immense glooms of clouds and gleaming distant stars and the unfathomable void of space, cursed with crushing pressure and darkness like the cervices of the ocean floor.
Fifteen years might not be enough, I thought, resting my forehead against the cold airplane window as the city lights died behind us, as Joe’s hand weaved through mine on the armrest. But forever sounds just about right.
Larkin
There once was a boy born in a stone cottage with a dirt floor in a vanishingly inconsequential village just west of Clifden, Ireland. It was February 9th, 1672, bitterly cold, miserably wet, and the sea was murderous with storms. His mother was illiterate, as her mother had been, and as her mother had been as well, all the way back to people who painted mammoths on cave walls with their fingers; she was thirty-three and already exhausted with living, her seven children forever underfoot, her full and ruddy cheeks perpetually smudged with dirt from the field and ashes from the fire. Her husband was a failure and a drunk, but half a day’s worth of work once or twice a week was better than none at all; and as much as she never would have admitted it, he was a tether for her in a world that was often, as she had learned, both lonely and cruel.
She gave the baby boy a name—a strong Irish name, none of that audacious English rubbish—that meant rough or fierce, just like the sea that rose and ruptured against the rocky cliffs outside. He would need to be rough to survive in this world. He would need to be fierce.
He began like all the other children had been: sweet and yet anonymous, yielding, needful, worryingly small. She rocked him absently with one arm as she stirred the stew pot with the other. She sang to him, told him stories long before he could comprehend them, tales of the Lord and the saints and all their malevolent adversaries: serpents, pestilence, demons, dragons. She tossed stray sticks to him so he could carve pictures into the dirt floor and keep out of the way as she labored with the laundry or the sewing. And he grew, and he grew; and there was nothing remarkable about him at all, that boy speckled with mud and soot and the perpetual bruises of children mostly left to their own devices, that boy with pallid skin like his mother’s and black hair like his father’s and eyes so light and vibrant a brown they were nearly gold.
The boy was a baby, and then a child, and then a young man. And his mother realized one day—all at once, as a mother does when their attention is divided among so many other lives, when the children’s analogous faces bleed into each other and even their names sometimes escape her, even those names that she had chosen herself from the stories her own mother once passed to her through threadbare whispers—that people had a habit of following him, of listening to him. That there was an ether of allure that hovered around him like the mists that clung to the precarious, crumbling cliffs that touched the sea; that there was something like what the heathens called magic. And when the war came, that boy who was no longer a boy left his mother’s stone cottage and enlisted in Clifden, lied about his age, signed his name with an X because that was all he knew how to spell. But he was sure to tell the man who handled the ledger that he did have a real name, a good Irish name, a name apt for a soldier, a name that his mother had told him meant rough or fierce: Larkin.
There are men who join wars out of loyalty, principle, love for their homes; and then there are men who join to escape their homes, perhaps to forget them entirely. If you were to consult that ledger signed in a pub in Clifden, Ireland in 1688, you would read that I fought for Ireland, for the Catholics, for Christ the Lord and all his saints. But what I really fought for was my own resurrection: to take that boy stained with dirt and ignorance, drown him in the blood of other mothers’ trivial sons, and dredge up some greater version of myself that I had always known existed, that was hidden somewhere in the netlike darkness of the marrow of my bones.
People follow me, and they always have. I couldn’t tell you why. When I called them to enlist, when I thrusted swords and pikes into their calloused farmers’ fists, when I told them they could fight and live to see their wretched homes again, they believed me. I climbed the ranks like a ladder, like a mountain made of bones. And all those other mothers’ sons laid down for me so I could walk across the bridge of their spines to what I mistakenly assumed was invincibility.
At the Battle Of The Boyne, my horse was shot out from under me. A Williamite caught me beneath the ribs with his dagger. And as I bled out, staring up at the sky and impatiently waiting for the pain to vanish as my consciousness withdrew like low tide, I became aware that someone was lifting me, holding me, spiriting me through the battlefield and then the wilderness; and that my pain, in a disconcerting turn of events, had swelled to a vicious and unrelenting inferno.
Three days later, I woke to find that I was resurrected again, this time as something more than human. The man who turned me was blond-haired, light-eyed, agile and yet gentle, ancient and yet ever-changing.
“I thought you’d survive,” Nikolai said in a thick Slavic accent, standing over me with a kind smile. Then he helped me to my feet. “You have greatness in you. It sweats out of your pores, it’s in every word you speak. What a shame it would be for all of that to go to waste.”
He taught me everything: how to read and write, how to hunt, how to dodge the sunlight, how to survive an existence that was both theoretically endless and yet forever on the precipice of being cut short. He introduced me to the Draghi, to vampires who were remarkable for their ferocity, or their creativity, or their curiosity, or their cleverness, or all those things at once: Victorien, Honora, Elizabeth, Kestrel, Zhang, Sergei, Ana, Gwilym. And most crucially, Nikolai showed me that my human talents were magnified several times over, that his own followers were not immune to them, that there was power in collecting exceptional individuals like pieces of china stacked in a locked cabinet; and that if I could learn to climb immortal bones, the ladder never needed to end.
You never quite get used to the power, to the invincibility, to the promise of eternity. You never take it for granted. It hits you, again and again, in ceaseless and victorious waves. Once I was a barefoot toddler who sketched dragons and Catholic saints from the stories my mother told me into the dirt floor of our drafty stone cottage. Now I live in palaces with marble floors, with spiral staircases and libraries and gold-dripping ballrooms, with unobstructed views of any sea I choose. Now I am the dragon.
My phone rang, and I checked the name on the screen. Then I answered. “Hello, beauty. How’s the other side of the Pacific treating you?”
And Liesl answered, in a soft and astonished voice: “I don’t think Lucy can read her. I don’t think any of them can.”
I could feel it again. Another wave, crashing through me like the ocean, like the unstoppable rolling of time: power and insatiability and exhilaration. I smiled in my twilight-lit study as long-dead stars rose outside and the wind howled like wolves over the East Sea. “You know what to do.”

Tumblr media
“Bokuto-san!” Akaashi set the ball towards the beefy boy. It had already been a few minutes and he was sure Bokuto was already riled up and ready to redeem himself. None of them were expecting him to unleash his emo mode during practice time. “It’s all yours.”
With such excellent form, Bokuto cross spiked the ball and won his side of the court a set. The three man block across from him nodded and cheered for him. Behind his back, Akaashi gave the signal to Konoha, Washio, and Haruki to further lighten his mood. That had to be the most half assed ‘Hey Hey Hey’ you’ve heard in a while.
It had been a very good four months since the kiss. Your relationship with Akaashi was still kept lowkey, but both of you chose that path. Some of the members were starting to doubt while the two managers still had to break your defense. None of them succeeded. It reached the point that things were beginning to become an inside joke. Who among the team would break the wall and finally get the answers they wanted?
Handing his water bottle, Akaashi brushed his finger against yours. Lingering his gaze with yours for a few seconds, your breath still hitches when he sets his eyes on you. With each player now sipping on bottles and wiping their sweat, you sat down beside your man and silently activated your quirk.
His body was hot from the rigid training but he somehow developed the sense of when you would use your quirk on him. Feeling the heat being pulled away, he let out a long sigh and felt his energy levels rising up. The others began to wonder whether or not the both of you were doing outside club activities that decreased his recovery time.
Now that practice was over, all of you now bid goodbyes and walked your way back home. Hand in hand, Akaashi and you went over the day's events.
“You’ve been getting better at your sets, Akaashi~”
“It still needs a bit more timing. Bokuto-san’s sets are getting better but I still have to adjust a bit more for Washio-san.” You had also taken note just how harsh he was on himself. Reminding him that he always did a great job, he squeezed your hand and pulled you closer.
As for your quirk, you always took note of its presence. Despite kissing him as often as you could, being more touchy, and intimate, it was still at 35%. Though, you were using it less and less as the days passed by. Most of the time, you would use it on Akaashi to let him recover more. It amazed you that on days you let him recover on his own, there were no changes and almost as if his body adjusted to your quirks constant use.
By now, you were used to living in this dimension. Adjustments were quick and you even found time to hang out with Asami and Akiko. O-mother now held on to a great piece of your heart and you even began to exchange ‘Love you’s every now and then.
Life is peaceful. That’s what you told yourself.
The only stress you got were during games but it was all worth it when you saw just how well your boys cooperated.
“Lost in thought again?” Akaashi cut your nostalgic trip. “Is everything okay?”
“Better than okay.” Hopping a bit to kiss his cheek, you adored how his cheeks slowly formed a blush. He really is beautiful. And that small smile that only you saw? Swoon. “Akaashi?”
“(l/n)?”
“Are we…” You knew you would sound desperate but it was something you needed to know and be sure of. “Are we dating?”
“Do you need verbal assurance?” He stopped walking and held your shoulders. Making you speechless was as easy as ever. It was your turn to blush and he loved it. “Be my hero?”
“Akaashiii~” You playfully punched his chest earning a small chuckle.
“Alright. Be mine, (y/n)?” He held cupped both cheeks till your lips were now pouting. “Though I know it’s four months too late to ask…”
Nodding happily at the assurance, you held his hands and happily accepted his lips. It was a short peck but still enough to send the butterflies in your stomach to rave. When he let go of your face, you wrapped your arms around his neck and he around your waist. Lifting you up, he began to walk as you giggled in the crook of his neck, your legs swaying side to side.
Arriving at your houses, Akaashi now opened the door for you and still chose not to let go of your hand. A minuscule pout was visible and that made your heart melt.
“Akaashi~ You’ll see me tomorrow.” Taking a step forward, you felt his fingers lacing with yours. “We can still exchange paper airplanes before we sleep, okay?”
“Fine.” Leaning down to kiss your cheeks, Akaashi made sure to kiss your knuckles as well. “See you later, (y/n).”
Never in your life did you hear your name sound like such a guilty pleasure. Losing your balance a bit, Akaashi was ready to catch you but you regained composure and cleared your throat. This man knew you were weak and took advantage of it. Of course, you didn’t mind.
“I’ll see you later, Keiji~” Whooh even saying his name made you turn into a tomato.
Squeezing your hand before letting go, he still bowed before taking his leave. When the door lock clicked, you buried your face in your palms and let out an inhumane noise that caught the attention of your o-mother.
“I’m assuming ya’ll are dating?” She slapped your back harshly. A cheeky grin resting on her face. “Don’t deny it honey. Your face says it all. C’mon, into the dining room you go.”
Dragging you by the arm, you were now seated with a tub of ice cream. Imaginary flowers floating behind her as she began to shower you with questions.
“Are you guys dating? I heard you two calling each other by your names.”
“Yeah~” You shoved a spoonful of ice cream. Brainfreeze meant nothing to you with your quirk.
“Since now?”
“I guess four months ago.”
“AHH!!” She slammed her palm on the table. “WHEN HE DROPPED YOU OFF FROM CAMP AND I CRACKED THAT PROTECTION JOKE! Young lady you better have used protection!”
“Ma! We didn’t do anything okay!” Which was true except for the continuous makeout session that followed.
“It’s fine. I mean we are in the new age. And, you're in the age of curiosity so I might as well encourage safety. Unless you want to be on the pill, then we can schedule a doctors appointment to see if you’re safe to take it.”
If that was your real mother, she would choke on the first sentence. There was no way possible for your family to talk about sex ed like that. Not sure how to respond, you gave an awkward smile, nod, and took another spoonful of ice cream.
“Besides, Akaashi-kun is a nice guy. I would be surprised if you didn’t develop feelings for such a gentleman. Both of you did a great job at hiding it though. Four months under the radar? Amazing.” She pinched your cheek and kissed it after. “Clean up when your finished~”
Now that you were finished with everything, you were now preparing pieces of bond paper. The window meetings you two shared was also one of those times you used your quirk. Akaashi always questioned how you managed to send that paper airplane the first time, when he knew about your quirk, he nodded to himself.
Preparing your chair, you watched as he opened his window and waved at you. Preparing to send a plane, you used your quirk and watched as the plane glided through the air and landed on your palm.
‘Coach said there’s no saturday practice.’ He wrote.
Taking your pen, you scribbled down your reply and sent the plane back to him.
‘Are you asking me out, neighbor?’
“If that’s alright with you.” Akaashi said out loud.
What you’d give to go over to his house. Recalling the distance, it was around five meters. Too far to jump and the angle of your windows made things difficult. The boy watched as your eyes began to wander around the environment. When you stared at your palms, he tilted his head, curious to see what you were about to do.
“Do you want me to come over?” Your voice not too loud for the other members of each house to hear.
“Through the front door…?” There was only one possibility his quirkless mind could think of. The scenario of you manipulating the air around you and floating all the way to his window or vice versa. Knowing the nature of your quirk, other things were possible but he still couldn’t comprehend just what you could do.
“Lemme just look up something real quick.” Grabbing your phone, you searched for possible invisible materials or something similar at least. When you landed on one article, you searched for its components and went back to the window. With the lesser amount of usage on your quirk, you were pretty confident that creating something from scratch would be possible. Of course, you’re not Momo but if you tried hard enough, you could make small things.
Akaashi observed as your palms began to glow the brightest he’d ever seen. Squinting his eyes, he could see how the area around your hand was beginning to distort.
“What exactly are you doing, (y/n)?”
“Hush, Keiji.” You were almost done. “You can’t rush perfection… and safety.”
When the glow stopped, you put on a little weight on the small invisible bridge you made. Checking its sturdiness, you concluded that it would hold at most 100kg. Making sure that it wasn’t as narrow, your fingertips felt the invisible floor. One meter was alright.
Climbing out your window, you scanned the houses across and made sure their curtains were drawn. Seeing that things were clear, you began to walk. Akaashi’s face was full of questions. Reaching out his window, he felt something solid but his eyes couldn’t see. Looking closer, he could see how the edges seemed to be reflecting light.
Extending a hand, Akaashi helped you enter his room.
“I did not really think this through.” You looked at the things in his room. His bed, which you only saw from afar, had black and white sheets. Books were sprawled out on his desk and a volleyball resting underneath. His jersey, which you presumed was newly laundered, was hung on his wall. “Anything PG you wanna do?”
“Nothing comes to mind.” His eyes went back to his window. “Aren’t people going to see that?”
“They won’t. Well if they squint real hard, they might be able to see how the light is being reflected and there’s barely any shadow in a particular area. But, it’s like the Indiana Bones movie? You can see it if you look at it from a particular angle.”
Taking your hand, Akaashi led you to his bed and sat down. He may be calm but his mind was running.
“Did you date anybody in your dimension?” Might as well be blunt about it, he thought.
“It’s rather difficult to date in my world.” You scooted closer and leaned on his shoulder. “Or maybe it was just for my class. A lot of bat shit crazy things happened to my class. We did have crushes tho~”
“Ah.” He remembers. “Hawks? What quirk did he have?”
“Hawks had wings. Like legit red wings that he uses to fly around.” You facepalmed at the memories with the cheeky bird child man. “Hawks was a pro hero and ranked #2.”
“Pro hero?”
“Mhmm. A committee decided that having hero rankings would help heighten security. To be honest, it only amped the competition between heroes. Not the best move on their part.” Glancing at his desk, you saw how he taped the first paperplane you sent to him on his wall. Resting your chin on his shoulder, your faces were now inches apart. From this angle, you saw how his gunmetal eyes bore silver and blue hues. “Can’t help but wonder, what kind of quirk would you have if you lived in my dimension…”
“Those dreams you mentioned a while back,” He inched his face closer. “Were those real?”
“They were.” The tips of your noses were now touching. “Now, tell me. Why is your face impossibly close to mine, Keiji?”
He smirked. Your breath hitched.
“A certain someone initiated something.” His lips brushed yours gently. Staring into your eyes once more, he slowly licked his lips and met yours with his. It was only a peck. A very short one. One that would make you want more, he was sure of it. “You did use a good amount of your quirk right, (y/n)?”
Imitating his action, you clashed your lips with his. Biting on his lower lip before releasing it.
“I did.” Feeling his hands wrap around your waist, you allowed yourself to be pulled by him. Sitting on his lap, you wrapped your arms around his neck and traced his jawline. “My quirk’s been drained real good.”
“I think I can help.” Both of his thumbs now traced small circles on your thighs. Shifting your positions, you saw the world turn into a blur as Akaashi managed to place your body onto his bed. Your head now resting on his pillow that smelled just like him. “Is this okay with you?”
Not bothering to answer, you tangled your fingers through his hair and pulled him in to meet your lips. The whole sensation of having THE prettiest human you’ve ever seen was out of this world, quite literally. Carefully putting his weight on you, Akaashi’s kiss became much deeper. Untangling your fingers from his hair, you found yourself tracing lines on his very toned back. Feeling his muscles flexing, chills ran down your spine when his fingers began to slowly brush your bare waist.
Letting out a shaky breath, you let out a soft moan when his tongue entered your mouth. With your hands now turning numb, you balled your fists and held on to his shirt. What you’d give to take his shirt off but you still had the decency to think he might not like it.
Biting and sucking on your tongue, Akaashi prepped himself on his elbow and saw just how much of a mess you were. Red cheeks, eyes that showed him you wanted more, and labored breathing made him smirk before sofly tracing your jaw. Leaning back down, he admired how you squirmed underneath him when he began to kiss your neck.
“How’s your quirk?” He asked in between kisses.
“Let me check.” You smirked when he rested on his elbows to see what you were about to do. Twirling your finger, you heard the faint click of the locks. “I think it’s charged pretty good.”
Lifting his body, you observed as he reached for your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours. Bending a bit to kiss your knuckles, Akaashi smiled and let go of your hand. Your eyes widened when he pulled his shirt off.
“Holy smokes…” Clenching your fists, you tried to control the glow your palms were emitting. How does your quirk manage to expose your feelings when you're flustered but not when you're scared to death when you're fighting villains? Tracing the cuts of his body with your eyes, you sent out a silent prayer to the meat gods for the sight. When he leaned back in, just inches away from your face, you bit your lip.
“It was getting hot.” Akaashi kissed your cheek. “You okay, (y/n)?”
“I mean… a very pretty setter is on top of me, and shirtless too, my quirk is exposing me, we’re having a make out session, and I’m in your room?” You pinched his cheek. “Nothing can top this~”
Turning to his side, you were now resting your head on his arm as he draped his other one on your waist. Yawning, you hugged him and the both of you tangled your legs.
“Are you getting sleepy?” Akaashi whispered.
“A bit.” Your eyes were getting heavier. Just as you were about to sit up, you were pulled back into his arms.
“You can stay, you know. You can cross the bridge of shame in the morning.” Kissing your forehead, you let out a small and contented hum. Watching how you raised your arm and snapped your finger, he had to admire how easy everyday things were if you had a quirk. Amused at your little stunt, he felt giddy when you hugged him once more. “What was that for?”
“I turned my lights off.”
“Think you can turn off mine?” It didn’t even take a second. His lights were now off. Closing his eyes, Akaashi felt content being able to sleep beside you. Just as he was about to doze off, his eyes shot back open. Nudging you a bit, he gave out a small warning. “Bokuto-san might call in the middle of the night. Just don’t mind it if my voice is too loud. It usually lasts 2 to 3 minutes max.”
Nodding, Akaashi finally relaxed and went to sleep.
- - - - -
a/n: told ya’ll its pure fluff xD i hope yall are liking the chapters :) if you have any questions, clarifications, or anything you wanna tell me, feel free to ask :) and yes, Akaashi’s lineup is open as always :)

Wattpad request- Amacha oneshot. Not spoiler free
I just love writing for Amacha! This ship needs a lot of growth in order to make it happen and I just love writing for it. This one is platonic not romantic since that's what I felt like writing.
Tumblr media
3rd person POV
Tenko was walking around the 'school' wondering what she was going to do. The killing game began. She could feel safe around girls but many of the male students made her feel nervous. Thinking that even though she might probably win a fight with them if they try anything she can't deny possibility of surprise attack. The anxiety was slowly killing her from the inside, however she remained her energetic self. She had to, otherwise she could lose herself to despair and do something regrettable.
As she continued exploring on her own she felt someone tap her shoulder. She immediately grabbed that person's hand and threw them on the ground. After seeing her attacker's face- wich was Rantaro she yelled "YOU TRIED SOMETHING YOU FILTHY DEGENERATE!?"
Sitting up he rubbed his back in pain "No... I just was wondering what you were doing here all alone. After all it's quite dangerous, but I see that you are more than capable of self defense" he looked at her "I guess it's my bad for approaching you in such way though..."
"Ugh of course it is" she crossed her arms. Rantaro stood up "Well I guess I'll get going since you neither need help nor you want me around"
"What's with me needing any help? Do you think I need someone like you to guard me!?"
"I'm sorry that I didn't wanted anyone wandering off on their own" he said annoyed.
"You can't expect me to believe that! You can be plotting something and acting like you mean well"
"You have a point I might not seem trustworthy. I'll leave you to whatever you were going to do, goodbye" with that he left.
She felt uneasy around him but now she felt even worse alone, although her pride didn't let her admit to her mistake. She decided to finish exploring at that and tried to take her mind off everything. So she thought that exercise was in order.
Running around the building she thought about her encounter with Rantaro wich was exactly the opposite of what she wanted. It made her even more angry "Stupid degenerate... Thinking that I need help. If someone he needs it more! The audacity!" she started running faster "Who does he think he is!"
"Tenko?" she heard someone call her name out once she turned towards source of the voice it ended up being Kaede. Her angry expression quickly changed into a smile "Hello Kaede! What are you doing out here?"
"I was about to go to my room but I noticed you here all alone so I came by to check on you. After all it's dangerous to be all by yourself at times like these"
"Aww you are so considerate! Unlike that degenerate..." she crossed her hands. The pianist's curiosity took over as she decided to ask "Huh? Did something happen earlier?"
"That guy with green hair- what was his name again...?"
"Rantaro?"
"Yeah him! He just came up to me and said that he was 'wondering what I was doing all alone' and I know better than that to believe him. He definitely was plotting something!"
"How can you know for sure?" Kaede tilted her head "I know what kind of situation we are in but if we're going to suspect everybody then we can't move forward"
Tenko fell silent and tried to think through her actions. Seeing her suddenly lost in thought Kaede quickly said "But if you want to suspect him it's okay! After all nobody can know who you can trust without doubts"
"You're right" Tenko looked at her "He just gives off this suspicious aura... I mean we don't even know his talent! He definitely does hide something but don't worry if anything happens I will protect all the girls!"
"Of course you will" Kaede smiled "Sorry but I'll have to leave you now I'm pretty exhausted" the pianist fake-yawned.
"Sleep well!!!" Tenko said energetically before she parted her ways with Kaede. She continued her small exercise and thought yet again of what Kaede said to her.
"I must keep an eye on him so he has no time to strike!" she thought loud "But how do I do it? Follow him?" she had no idea what to do next. However she decided to look for him right away.
"Earlier he just came out of nowhere and now I can't find him anywhere!" she continued her search. When she finally found him he decided to walk in the opposite direction.
"HEY!" Tenko shouted making him turn around "Are you talking to me?"
"Who else?" she said and quickly realized that she didn't know what to say.
"Alright then, what do you want?" he asked, although earlier he was annoyed now his voice was calm and collected.
She got an idea it was rather risky but she decided to swallow her pride "I wanted to apologize for snapping at you earlier" he didn't expect to hear that from her but he didn't wait to answer "I guess we're both to blame. I should have called for you like you just did instead of surprising you" he smiled at her and she smiled back "Well I'm glad we settled that out, I'll be on my way" he turned around but she quickly grabbed his hand "WAIT! Let me go with you"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah! After all I think I proved last time that you are pretty defenseless... and I don't want to worry about someone more than I have to" the last part was quite hard for her to say. After all saying stuff like that when you don't mean it was never easy.
"Well I can't stop you if you want to go with me"
'Sweet' she thought as she noticed that her plan was working. She was just following him around as he felt quite uneasy feeling her staring at him in silence.
The two heard voices coming from the game room. Rantaro decided to enter it thinking that whoever was there could get rid of the akward silence between him and Tenko.
"Rantaro, Tenko! Look Tsumigi did my nails for me!" Kaede said showing off her nails "Whaaa!? Don't show them off like they are something flashy!"
Despite Tsumigi's request Tenko got closer to take the look "So cuuuute!"
"See Tsumigi! Tenko agrees they are adorable!"
"They are not that amazing..."
"Ooh painting your nails, huh? You know, I can do that too" Rantaro admitted and the girls turned towards him.
"You can!? But you're a boy" Kaede asked lowkey surprised.
"Could it be you've done it for your girlfriend? Or girlfriends? Y-"
"Wait! Pause!" Tenko said crossing her arms "Let him speak becouse I don't want to even think of those possibilities!"
"Are you jealous?" Kaede teased.
"Wha-? Why would I be??" Tenko looked at Kaede.
"Well either way that's not the case. No girlfriend or anything. What gave you the impression?" he stopped Kaede and her further teasing. Even though they just made up he still could feel that Tenko felt uneasy around him and he didn't wanted it to get worse.
"Yeah I guess you wouldn't have one. You seem like one of those types" Tsumigi spoke up "I was just messing around earlier"
"Wait what do you mean by those types?" Kaede was confused.
"A gradient is nice" Rantaro thought out loud "But with nails like yours Kaede, I recommend a French slant"
"French slant? Is that some kinda cooking technique?" both Kaede and Tenko said at the same time. Kaede giggled shortly afterwards.
"Haha no it's a kind of design" he explained "It will be faster to just show you. May I?"
"You'll do it for me? Then yes, please!"she seemed excited.
"Alright then" he got closer to Kaede and began working on her nails.
"Do you mind being still?" he asked and she immediately corrected herself.
Tenko looked quite annoyed "Hey Tsumigi" when Tsumigi faced her she continued "Can you do my nails too?"
"What?" she asked surprised "I really love the way you did it for Kaede and I want something like that too! Unless you don't want to..."
"No it's oka-"
"Wow! It looks amazing!" Kaede said excited "Maybe you are actually the ultimate Nail artist!"
"Tsumugi, Tenko look!" she showed it off yet again.
"I'm glad you like it, but I think you are overreacting a little bit" he smiled awkwardly.
"Stupid normies..." Tsumugi said under her breath and left.
"Wait don't leave!" Tenko tried to stop her but it wasn't enough "Damn I wanted cute nails too..."
"I can do yours too if you want" he suggested.
"I guess it will do" she sighs. She really wanted her nails done by Tsumigi.
"I'll leave you two be if that's the case" Kaede winked "NO" Tenko shouted but it was for nothing since Kaede just smiled and closed the door of the game room.
"Listen if you're not comfortable being with me alone I understand. You don't need to act Tenko" he said in rather serious tone.
"I don't know what you're talking about" she looked away.
"Yeah you definitely don't" he rolled his eyes.
"I want to get along with you. I just don't know what to do or say" she didn't knew anymore whether she was lying or not. After all her first goal was to keep an eye on him. She told herself that he's the enemy and acted rather hostile yet all he did was understand her? It might have been just a bunch of empty words but she didn't feel like that was the truth.
"Let's try this again okay?" she requested before reaching her hand out "I'm Tenko Chabashira! Ultimate Aikido master! What's your name?"
He looked at her hand, smiled, then shook it "Rantaro Amami, I can't remember my talent but I hope that's not a problem for you"
"You can't remember?" she pretended to be shocked "Then let's help you remember together!" the two laughed after that little act and carried on.
"Do you still want me to do your nails?"
"Absolutely!" she paused and realized something "Wait... Kaede took the nail polish" she looked disappointed.
"Well we can do something else"
"Like what?"
He thought for a while "Doesn't your hair get in your way while you train? I can show you few hairstyles that will both look cute on you and won't be an inconvenience. And if you want to keep them long I can do something more special"
"That sounds great!"
=>???
"A Body has been discovered!"
Tenko immediately looked at the nearby screen. Just looking at that bear made her want to punch it but now something more important is happening.
"Everyone, please gather in the library!"
"Oh no..." she looked at the corpse.
"W-why?" she murmured as her eyes started tearing up "Why does it hurt so much?" she thought.
"It's a joke, right?" There was no mistaking it. It was Rantaro. Someone who she talked to, laughed with... Is no longer alive.
She wanted to break down but considering everyone was there too she couldn't allow herself to be weak.
"Tenko?" Tsumigi said looking concerned. As a response she wiped away her tears and smiled at her like nothing ever happened "Do you need something Tsumigi?"

kokichi with a s/o who is related to gonta, tenko, & maki
Tumblr media
hahaaa !!! this was fun fun fun ~ the only reason i picked gonta, tenko, & maki is because of their long brown hair and that gonta & maki have the same red eyes, but i also thought it would be a fun group of ‘ siblings ‘ ~
ah, it definitely didn’t disappoint me !
the other pair of siblings i thought of would be shuichi and korekiyo, and kaede and miu, and angie and kiibo ( notice the hair thing ? yeah, i’m not very original )
still i had fun writing this - mod kokichi
Tumblr media
- kokichi felt ?? conflicted most of the time about it any time your siblings were involved
- why did s/o have to be so fricken beautiful, nice, smart, fun, creative, ect.
- but be siblings with such,,, odd siblings, putting it lightly
- firstly, who knew that the mastermind had lied about everyone's backgrounds, and that those three were actually siblings with the family name gokuhara given to all of them
- apparently gonta was oldest, then tenko, then maki, and finally you, the baby of the family
- second, who knew y o u were siblings with them, who's wacky personalities made kokichi feel some kind of way
- truly, you were nothing like any of them, in his eyes at least
- he genuinely liked hanging out with you !!!
- kokichi absolutely loved how fun you were, you were never boring to him !
- not that he would ever admit this kind of stuff to you at least
- but what he did not like, is hanging out with your siblings when he’s trying to hang out with you
- most of the time it was hard to get you alone because one of them always had to accompany you
- you know, to " protect the little sibling from the spawn of satan ",,, whatever that means
- most of the time, he has to find a way to outrun your three siblings and sneak away during your own date so he can talk with you alone
- which means a lot of time, you don't end up where you thought you would
- for example, if kokichi said he was going to take you to the library, you might start out at the lunchroom with him and tenko accompanying you as you ate, not letting him get a single word in
- and you might end up escaping and running between the classroom, the gym, outside of the school on the track, and you'd end up in some small janitor's closet, breathing hard because you ran what felt like the entire school
- no matter how obnoxious these dates were, you never seemed to get tired of them
- every time you two found a place to stay away from one of your siblings for the moment, you had the stupidest, biggest grin on your face, and your shoulders bounced up and down as you laughed under your breath
- it was times like being stuck in the janitor's closet where you'd kiss him softly and thank him for being such a fun boyfriend
- and he did not understand you in the slightest about it ??
- why would you be laughing at a ruined date ?
- while he really enjoyed something as crazy as this, he sometimes found himself frustrated because he just wants one semi-normal date with you, no matter how out of character that sounded for him
- he's the kind of guy who likes things to go as planned, and when they don't, sometimes he can find himself get frustrated for no real reason
- because, in truth, when he's running around with you, leading you through hallways by your hand and quietly whispering about the next hiding spot
- he's actually really happy
- it gets his blood pumping when he knows one of your siblings is right around the corner, but there's nothing he can do to stop his or your breath from being so hard from running for nearly half an hour
- and kokichi would turn to you during those moments, mouthing that you should go hide in the bathroom and he'd come follow after you
- and it would be so obvious to everyone that he's actually enjoying this
- it's only afterwards when he recollects over it that he gets annoyed with how every date seems to turn out
- it was slightly admirable how they all unanimously want you to be safe, but it wasn't nearly as admirable how they saw him as the enemy
- gonta would always be complaining about how kokichi isn't gentlemanly enough for his little sibling
- tenko,, , well, it's tenko. she would have a problem with you dating any ' degenerate ' but since it just so happens to be kokichi, that's amplified tenfold
- and maki just straight up dislikes him, glaring at him if he so much as tries to hold your hand without her explicit permission & always warning him that if he hurts you in any way, that his head would be on a spike
- that's what he thought, at least
- as it turns out, that's not it at all
- it was only until you'd been together for a year now, and he'd finally admitted to you ( nonsarcastically ) that he felt like your siblings were overstepping their places in the relationship that the truth came out
- s / o : " huh ? what do you mean ? they're not overstepping their boundaries, they're just playing with us. "
- kokichi : " i don't really see how chasing us around as if we were cattle is playing. "
- s / o : " alright, i wasn't supposed to tell you this but,, none of my siblings actually hate you. yeah, they really are protective, but they don't dislike you at all. i think they used to though, to be honest. but not anymore. "
- he had no idea what to do with that information, but he did know he had to do something about it
- so he set up a date at your place, with all three of your siblings present
- and the truth came out
- you were sitting on the couch with him, his hand firmly holding onto yours
- he lowkey felt like he was confessing marriage to your parents ?? it was weird
- kokichi let it all out, albeit in his own way, about how he felt about the relationship
- gonta : " oh ? that what kokichi think ? "
- maki : " i guess we didn't give him any room to believe otherwise,, "
- he was ?? baffled
- tenko : " alright, listen up degenerate ! ,,, maki, explain it to him. "
- maki : " ,,s / o comes home every day talking about how amazing you are. it's a little gross, but we deal with it. we're all they've got, and if they don't have us to listen to them about dating stuff, then who's going to ? for the first half, we were actually just being protective, but one day they came home panting, and they,, they were very happy. "
- s  / o : " it was our first kiss,, all because we were stuck in that closet together. "
- oh
- kokichi felt his cheeks heat up involuntarily, but he stayed silent and listened
- gonta : " gonta confused when they did that ! how s / o like us chasing ? "
- tenko : " so, you know, we just kinda continued it. it made s / o happy, and, well, i kind of had some fun too,, "
- maki : " you've been together with s / o for a year now. they've never come home and complained about something you've done, unless it's something stupid and gross like " kokichi only held my hand for a second today ! " that kind of annoying stuff. you make them happy, and we respect that. it's time we gave you some trust on our part. just don't break it. "
- kokichi : " so what i'm hearing is that you lied about hating me ? "
- gonta : " that true ! "
- maki : " don't go putting words in my mouth, kichi. "
- kokichi : " s / o ! your sister even has a nickname for me ! i feel like i'm part of the family ! "
- s / o : " you've always been part of my family, dummyhead. "
- he still hasn't forgotten those words of yours
- maybe your siblings weren't as bad as he originally thought.
bonus random facts that i couldn't stuff in the main thing :
- kokichi finds gonta to be the easiest to run away from, and then maki, and then tenko is the hardest
- there have been many times where you'd be caught in a less than preferred position
- usually on accident, tho one time maki found you leaning in for a kiss and almost killed kokichi on the spot
- she was actually livid for a few days after that, but still allowed you to go on dates with your boyfriend nevertheless
- after that anniversary incident, tenko started to take kokichi out to the dojo to train, and maki made him learn how to use anything as a self defense weapon in case it was ever needed to protect you
- and gonta ? gonta taught kokichi about being a gentleman,, and bugs , ,

Mind My Manners
Tumblr media
Author’s Note: Okay so this wasn’t a request, my thirsty ass just thought this up so pls enjoy
Pairing: Joe Mazzello x Reader (FWB), Ben Hardy x Reader (platonic-ish)
Warnings: Smut, swearing, hot dudes
Title Creds: Mind My Manners - Ashnikko
“It’s Joe isn’t it?” Ben asked, a smirk present on his face while he awaited your answered. “What? No!,” You replied while smacking his arm with his couch pillow, Ben trying to dodge you as best as he could without dropping his beer. “Joe was a one time thing and even if it were to happen again, there is no way I could catch feelings for him. He’s basically my boss Ben!” The blonde just laughed at you, putting his hands up in defense.
“Okay okay, but I’m going to figure out what guy you’ve got a thing for and then I’m-”
“I DON’T HAVE A THING FOR ANYONE BEN” you shout, staring at the ceiling and laughing half in frustration, half in actual amusement at your best friend’s attempts.
“Whatever.” He said, taking a swig out of his beer before turning his head to where he could hear his front door opening.
Looking in the same direction as Ben, you saw Joe slip through the apartment’s entrance. He waved quickly as he shut the door and then moved to place the beer he brought with him into the fridge, pulling one out for himself and using Ben’s counter to pop the top off of it. Taking his place between you and Ben, Joe made himself comfortable and slung an arm over your shoulder. Not being one to resist a Joe cuddle you snuggled closer, ignoring the wiggle of Ben’s eyebrow and enjoying the smell of his aftershave and the cool night air still on him from his walk to Ben’s place.
“So Joseph were your ears burning?” He asked, earning a glare from you and a confused look from Joe. “Why would my ears be burning, Benji? You talking about my arms again?” Joe winked at Ben while you loudly laughed, leaving Ben to roll his eyes at the both of you. “Oh my God that was one time!” he shouted, covering his hands with his face while the two of you continued to tease him. “Yeah but you talked for a long time and then you asked if you could squeeze them. And then you did. For like half an hour.” You added, Ben arguing about how he did not do that for that long and he was so drunk so it didn’t matter anyways.
“Moving on, Y/N here has a crush on someone and I’m trying to get her to admit that you guys are totally in love with each other.” Ben said bluntly as he changed the subject back to his original topic. You and Joe both gave Ben a “woah” before staring at each other and then back at Ben. Joe was the first to speak, trying his best to break the tension.
“Look what happened between us was not- is not- I don’t- like I’m not-”
“Joe I’m not into you like that either calm down. Ben is just being an asshole” You said, giving Ben an actual glare as Joe’s cheeks started to lose their redness, sighing in relief as he snuggled you closer to him once again. Ben drank from his bottle again before speaking, “I really am just kidding dude. But she’s trying to tell me there’s no one she’s crushing on and I am not believing it.”
“Oh who she’s crushing on? It’s Duke for sure. She stares at him all day long during their scenes together which is great considering their characters are in love but usually that stops for other actors when when I call cut. Y/N however just keeps on staring.” Joe said nonchalantly, your cheeks getting red as you gawked at the auburn haired man in front of you.
It was completely true. When Joe announced that his movie, Undrafted, got the green light for a series on Netflix, you basically begged him to consider you for a part. You loved the movie and had gushed about to Joe on many occasions so of course you were jumping the chance to be in the series. He said yes and ended up casting you as Ty’s girlfriend, where you would have to work alongside Duke Davis Roberts every day. It was great at first and you guys had great chemistry but lately you had been feeling uneasy. You were developing a huge crush on Duke and had tried your best to keep it lowkey but clearly Joe saw right through your efforts. You were left dumbfounded at Joe’s words and had no way to pretend you had no clue what he was saying.
“What I- how did you- Huh?” You tried to say anything that resembled a question but were failing miserably, an attempt that made Joe chuckle.
“Oh come on Y/N, I might fuck around on set but I do actually pay attention. Don’t worry though, Duke thinks you’re cute too. I bet you anything he’s waiting till we wrap to ask you out. He’s a gentleman like that.” Joe shrugged, drinking from his bottle while you processed his words. You’d entirely forgotten about Ben until he gave a meek “told you so”, him not realizing that you really did have a crush on anyone,
After the love life conversations you guys transitioned into some more lighthearted subjects, mostly Ben and Joe talking sports while you poked in with random memes you pulled up on your phone every now and again. The evening started to draw to a close, Ben remarking something about going for a run early in the morning as he stood and walked to his room, giving the both of you a goodnight. Joe checked his phone to see the time; realizing he stayed past his self-given curfew of midnight, Joe asked if he could crash with you in Ben’s guest room. Agreeing with a wink, you both got up and headed for the extra room next door to Ben’s room. You changed into some pajamas while Joe stripped down to his boxers and undershirt, the two of you climbing into the bed and wasting no time in cuddling up to each other. Joe gave your forehead a light kiss, you reciprocating with one just below his ear right on his sweet spot.
“I seem to remember a similar situation like this except with a lot less clothing.” He quipped while you gave a small chuckle. You hooked your leg over his waist, lifting yourself onto his lap. Placing both hands on his chest, rubbing lightly around his nipples while Joe gave a soft moan you replied, “Wanna do it again?” you asked. Joe sighed out a “yes please”, pulling you down to crash his lips to yours. You made out for a little while before you moved to kiss his jaw, then his neck, eventually making your way to his sweet spot once again, sucking a hickey into it while he moaned louder than he anticipated. You shushed him with a laugh, pointing in the direction of Ben’s room while he nodded.
Flipping the two of you over, Joe ground his hips against yours, a soft moan escaping your lips. It was his turn to mark you, leaving a few hickies from your sweet spot to your collarbone, biting down while thrusting against you. You moaned loudly at his actions, Joe clasping his hands over your mouth while he continued his assault on your neck. Lifting himself up, Joe removed his shirt while you did the same. You hooked your fingers into his boxers, tugging at the material until he sat up further to remove them completely. Reaching your hands down, you grasped his cock in your hand and gave him a few slow pumps. Joe’s head fell back with a groan as you pumped him, his hips thrusting in time with your movements. “Oh fuck right there” he moaned as you focused on his tip, rubbing your thumb just under the head of his dick.
Not wanting to neglect you, Joe pushed your panties to the side and started to rub your clit, his middle finger teasing at your entrance. You whined as he pushed his finger inside you, crying out as his long finger deftly found your g-spot. He shushed you once more before he sped of his movements, the hand that wasn’t pleasuring you coming up to rest against your mouth again. After a few more moments of both of your movements, you stilled your hand on Joe’s cock and reached down to stop his hand as it worked on you; the both of you whining at the loss of contact. Pulling him in for another kiss, you gasped out “I need you right now”. “Say no more” he said, removing your panties before lining up with your entrance and pushing into you.
You couldn’t help the load moan that escaped you as Joe pulled himself out and slammed back in, hitting your g-spot right away. He paused his movements as the two of stayed silent, waiting to hear Ben’s footsteps coming to yell at you or hear him shouting from the other room. Hearing nothing at all, Joe slowly started thrusting again, the both of you trying to keep it down, the pleasure almost too much for either of you to control your noises. You were brought back to reality by the sound of your ringtone for Ben. Shit you though he knows and we’re fucked. Stopping Joe’s movements you signaled for him to be quiet while you accepted the call.
Ben’s heavy breathing greeted you on the other end while you tried to keep yours down. “What’s up?” you asked, remaining as cool as possible. You could hear Ben scoff on the other end of the line, he did know what was up and there was no way he wasn’t going to get something out of this. “My two best friends are fucking right next door to me and are doing very poorly at hiding it.” He stated. “I-I’m sorry we’ll stop. It’s not  -” “No no, don’t stop on my account. But at least give me something to work with.” He said, you’re confusion blocking your words, the only thing coming from your lips was “Huh?”.
“I said give me something to work with. Either be louder or put me on speaker. I’ve heard enough that I’m insanely hard and I need to get off and this is way hotter than the porn I usually go to.” He breathed out, you finally understanding while Joe sat above you bathed in confusion and sexual frustration while he tried not thrust into you. You gave Ben an okay and clicked your phone to speaker, setting it next to you while you asked Joe if this was okay with him as well. Replying with a moan, you took that as a yes and pulled his lips to yours once again. He kissed you sloppily, tongues fighting for dominance until his won over as he caught you off guard with a moan. Joe’s hips thrust his cock in and out of you at a quick and punishing pace. As he picked up speed, his fingers moved to run at your clit once more. He was close to his orgasm and wanted you to be the first one to cum, mostly because he knew it would make Ben lose his mind if he heard what Joe could do to you.
Speaking of the blonde, Ben’s moans could be heard through the speaker of your phone loud and clear even though they were pretty quiet considering how turned on this was making him. Joe noticed that Ben’s moans increased in tone whenever you would moan out, and they’d get even more prominent when you spoke Joe’s name. Slowing his pace to catch your attention, Joe mouthed to you say his name before returning once more to the pace he had set. You nodded, mouth opening on a moan as Joe continued to hit your sweet spot.
“Oh fuck,” you cried out as he hit you incredibly deep, your head thrown back against the pillow as you clawed at Joe’s sides, “Oh fuck Ben you feel so good”
The moan that rang through your phone could be heard from Ben’s room as well, your voice gaining the loudest reaction you’d heard from him yet. Joe’s hips faltered at your words, something about you moaning another man’s name, his best friends name, turning him on even more and threatening to bring him to his conclusion before you.
“God you’re hot” Joe moaned as his pace began to quicken. He was so close and he knew you were too. His fingers on your clit sped up slightly as he leaned down to kiss from your neck to your chest, leaving a few bites on and between your breasts. You were lost in pleasure, panting and moaning as Joe worked his magic on you, your orgasm on the brink of crashing into you. While Joe was doing it all for you, Ben was the one to drive you home. He’d collected himself a little from hearing his name fall from your lips, but he was so overly turned on that he couldn’t last any longer.
Joe managed to hit a spot so deep in you while his fingers just slightly brushed over your clit that you couldn’t help the desperate, loud moan that left you. Ben heard it over the phone, but it was so loud that he was surprised his door didn’t shake at the intensity of it. That did him in. While a whimpered “oh fuck Y/N I’m cumming”, Ben released all over his torso, moans falling from his lips soon replaced with pants of exhaustion. That did you in for good. You cried out, back arching off the bed as you repeatedly spoke both Ben and Joe’s names. Joe was quick to follow you, collapsing onto your tired body as he tried to catch his breath.
A few moments - maybe minutes - later, a tired laugh came through the speaker. “Jesus if I knew that was going to be as hot as it was I would have called you a lot sooner” You laughed at your best friend as Joe did as well. “You’re welcome any time Jonesy” you replied, earning a chuckle from the Brit as you used his nickname. “Gonna have to second that one bud, shit was crazy” Joe said, voice muffled by where his head was buried in the pillow.
“All right I’m going to bed for real this time but uh, wake me up if you fuck buddies need an audience.” The phone beeped as Ben ended the call. You made sure it was plugged in and charging before you rolled on your side; resting your head on Joe’s back, listening to his even breathing as he fell into a deep sleep with you following just moments behind him.

박우진, Park Woojin
anonymous asked:
hihi!! i would like to request some fluff with woojin from AB6IX, I’m not sure if you do requests outside your prompt lists but, maybe a scenario where the reader is youngmin’s bestfriend and she has always lowkey had a crush on woojin hehe and some cute youngmin bestfriend moments thank youu
Group: AB6IX
Member: Woojin (and a considerable amount of platonic Youngmin)
.
.
.
“Hey!” you snapped at Youngmin, pushing his hands away from your head. “I said you could touch my hair—not mess it up!”
The boy laughed at your antics. “I wasn’t messing it up,” he defended himself. “I was giving it character.”
You rolled you eyes. “What kind of a screwed up character were you giving it?”
He thought for a moment. “Frankenstein’s wife?” he offered. “That kind of feeling.”
You pulled your fist back, like a threat to punch him, but you both knew better than that. You could never hit that idiot. You both just ended up laughing at each other as you sunk further into your couch.
He sucked in a breath after your giggle fritz was over. “So,” he started, “how’s things with you and Woojin?”
You quirked a brow. “What’re you talking about?”
He gave you a look. “Oh, come on. I’ve seen you with crushes before, and he’s totally one of them.”
“Well...” You didn’t have any clever comebacks. “Maybe a little bit,” you mumbled back, shifting around a little.
‘A little bit’ was a massive understatement. You’d had an eye on Youngmin’s friend for quite some time now. You appreciated his quiet awkwardness, his snaggle tooth, his secretly dopey behavior in contrast to his outwardly cool demeanor.
His dancing wasn’t a negative trait either.
Youngmin clapped his hands, like a self-congratulations. “Knew it,” he snorted. “So, what’re you gonna do about it?”
“Nothing,” you shrugged.
He did a double-take. “Can you repeat that?”
“I’m not gonna do anything about it,” you said. “We’ve said two and a half words to each other, I doubt he’s interested in me.”
A sly smile spread on his lips. “I don’t know,” he said, an impish glow in his eyes. “You might be surprised.”
Your ears perked up. “Wait a minute. Are you saying he likes me?”
“I didn’t say that.”
You scrambled to your knees, waddling yourself clumsily closer to your best friend. “Im Youngmin, you have a 0% strength poker-face, so tell me! Does he have a crush on me or not?”
He held in a snort. “Why would he? It’s like you model yourself after a penguin.”
“Youngmin!”
He held up his hands in defense. “I’m being serious—I don’t know! Just don’t write him off just yet, yeah? Try befriending him and hanging out some. Maybe you’ll be shocked.”
You huffed, sitting back down. “But that’ll take time... I’m impatient.”
“I know,” he chuckled. He poked you with his sock feet. “That’s why your brother’s gonna help you out! I’ve got a foolproof plan up my sleeve, m’lady.”
You smacked his foot away with your own. “You’re not my brother.”
“But you love me like one,” he said as you both started having a fencing battle with your legs.
A small smile broke across your face as you jabbed him in the ankle. “True enough.”
It was around 11:46 at night when you got a text from Youngmin, jolting you up from a half-dozed state. Hesitantly, you rolled yourself out of bed to grab your phone off your desk.
For anyone else, you would’ve let it wait till morning, but when you heard that special ringtone, you didn’t tend to ignore it—no matter how much you wanted to. He’d been there for you in the tough times and late nights, so it only felt right to do the same for him.
You unlocked your phone, cringing from the sudden brightness in the room.
From: Youngminnie
Subject: Official Plan for Seducing My Group Mate
You rolled your eyes at the title before clicking it open. Your eyebrows immediately furrowed at the number of steps there were. 10 steps, perfectly typed out a labeled. As expected of Youngmin.
‘Do I have to read all this tonight? -_-’ you asked.
Three moving dots.
‘You don’t have to,’ he wrote back. ‘But you should. For good dreams. ;D’
You chuckled at the reply. “Fine, then,” you sighed to yourself, flipping on your lamp and plopping down in your shockingly comfortable rolling chair.
Step 1: Come To More Hangouts
The kids and I hang out often, so you should start tagging along!
You weren’t sure if you liked that idea very much. Being the outsider in a close group didn’t seem very appealing to you. That was until you noticed the message right under it.
I promise I won’t let you sixth-wheel, you coward.
Ah. He knew you too well.
Step 2: Exchange Numbers
I think this one’s a given. After you make that initial connection—jump on him! Well... Not literally, since he’s very important to the team, but you know what I mean. Sure, I could just give you his number, but that’d be no fun, and I know you’re too awkward to actually start a conversation with him.
Step 3: Find Common Interests
Just look for something you two can do together. I’d say try dancing with him, but we both know the extent of your noodle-arm-ness (not to be offensive, or anything). I don’t think I can help you here, ‘cause I want you to get to know each other authentically, but I know you’ll figure something out.
Step 4: Share An Intimate Moment
I don’t mean it like THAT, you weirdo. I just mean a vulnerable moment. Like, I know it’s scary, but be open with him about something personal. Not too personal, though. Remember, I’m watching you, kid. That, or be there for him when he’s not doing too well. You know work can be stressful for us. Now that! I can give you a tip on that. I’ll let you know when he’s not doing so well. He’ll need comfort, don’t you think~? Warning, though. If you kiss him in front of me, I’ll end both of you.
Step 5: Do Something He Likes Doing
If he invites you somewhere, you better go. Even if you have plans with me, cancel. I’ll be the understanding, amazing, incredible, most-loved best friend that I am and forgive your sins. Wow! I’m really such a guardian angel!
Step 6: Compliment Him
It’s okay if you do it moderately throughout your time together, but make this one something BIG. Make him think on it! Give him that heart-flutter that only you can provide.
Step 7: Hang Out At Your Place
It’s a big step, this one. You have to let a guy in your house! ...besides me. I just realized how that sounded as I typed it. Yes, I do regret it, if you’re wondering. Disregarding that; just hang out together! Have a good time, play some games, be safe (please don’t kill me for that) and let him see how fun you are to hang out with on your own!
Step 8: Tease Him
Again, I don’t mean this in a weird way. I just mean it in a playful way. I have no doubt that you’ll do plenty of it without having to consult the step since you warm up to people in a snap, but I wanted to write it down just in case. Do something a little flirty at some point, please. He blushes easily, despite how tough he seems. He’s a real dork!
Step 9: Have a Sleepover At the Dorms
I know this one seems a little weird, but I think it’s a good idea. If you have a sleepover, you’ll be able to see if you can actually stand him for an entire day, an entire night, and then the next morning. A good test, I think! You’ll be able to see if he’s truly your “chosen one”. Plus, he won’t sleep naked for one night... Blessing, really.
Step 10 (final step): Hook, Line and Sinker
Now’s the time! I know you’ve totally captured his heart by now, so you should just confess your feelings honestly. Don’t chicken out!! I know Woojin, so he won’t ditch you, even if he doesn’t feel the same. Might be awkward for half a second, but he’ll come around.
You rubbed the tiredness out of your eyes, glancing at the clock. 12:31 AM. You sighed and groaned, stretching out your stiff limbs. You discarded your phone, switched off the light and threw yourself into bed with an unladylike flop. “Bed, how I missed thee, my love...”
Even though you felt exhaustion flooding your body, drawing you into what you hoped would be restful sleep, you still felt grateful to Youngmin.
Your best friend and number one wing-man.
There you stood, three weeks later, outside of a cafe, a little bit frozen in your spot. You could see Youngmin and the others through the window, chatting freely. They looked so happy together. So at peace.
You slowly turned around, muttering to yourself, “Oh, gosh... I don’t want to do this. They’re all having fun. You’re gonna butt in and have no place. You’re gonna be the dead fish! The black sheep! The gray cloud!” You shook your head, trying to clear yourself of those thoughts.
“No,” you told yourself, giving yourself a light slap on the cheek to wake yourself up from your self-inflicted nightmare. “Come on! You’ve got this. This is Step 1: Come To More Hangouts! Youngmin will never let you live this down if you don’t just—!”
“What are you doing?”
The voice shocked you, making you yelp and clumsily karate chop whatever poor person that had been unfortunate enough to appear behind you. And of course—just your luck—the person had to be Park Woojin.
He rubbed his shoulder, an amused grin on his face. “Ouch,” he chuckled. “You pack quite the punch, don’t ya?”
You forcefully snapped your jaw shut. “I am so sorry,” you said, clasping your hands together. You tittered nervously. “At the thought of being attacked I... became a ninja, I guess.”
He shrugged. “Youngmin has a cool ninja friend, then,” he said. Your shoulders became less tense at his relaxed attitude. Something about him made you feel very at ease. “He sent me out here to get you.”
You nodded slowly, trying to breathe normally. “Yeah, sorry about that. I was just lost in thought.”
“Oh, yeah?” He quirked a brow, a slight smirk on his lips. “Youngmin said that you were probably stressing out over whether or not you should come in.”
Your jaw dropped again. “He ratted me out,” you breathed out, disbelief lacing your tone.
“Guess he knows you pretty well.”
You crossed your arms. “Yup. That’s what years of friendship gets you. Stone-cold betrayal.”
He masked a snort with a cough. “You know what,” he said. “You’re actually pretty funny.”
Your ears perked up. “Really?”
Hmm... Maybe Step 1 was a success after all.
The steps after that were rather successful, too.
During Step 2: Exchange Numbers, you’d lost track of time and accidentally called him around two in the morning, only realizing your mistake after he’d picked up with a voice deep and raspy from broken sleep.
“Hey!” you had said, voice chipper and upbeat. “I just wanted to check in on you.”
He had just chuckled on the other line. “At 2 AM?”
Your eyes immediately snapped to your clock. “Oh my gosh,” you gasped. “I didn’t even realize it was that late. I’ll hang up now, I’m so sorry.”
He caught you before you left. “It’s okay, I couldn’t sleep anyway. Wanna talk for a while?”
During Step 3: Find Common Interests, you’d mentioned your love for stargazing while the six of you sat in the practice room and ate lunch. Without any real effort, Woojin had invited himself along on one of your excursions.
That was probably the most at peace you’d felt in a long time, despite your heart beating a little faster every time your elbows brushed as you laid in the grass together, side-by-side, looking up at the vast expanse of sky.
“Stargazing was a good idea,” he’d breathed out into the cold night air, creating a puff of contrast in front of his face. “I’m glad you dragged me along.”
You scoffed. “I didn’t drag you anywhere,” you laughed, elbowing him in the side. “You came of your own accord, I didn’t even invite you.”
“You saying you don’t want me here?” he asked, rubbing his side and giving you a knowing smile.
You crinkled your nose at him. “I didn’t say that.”
Now, Step 4: Share An Intimate Moment... That one came as a surprise to you. You didn’t expect to be hanging out with everyone, having a perfectly wonderful time, and then suddenly feel so overwhelmed.
You didn’t expect to excuse yourself to the bathroom when you felt tears welling up in your eyes. You didn’t expect your mind to get flooded with so many thoughts about how stressed you were and how much you weren’t pleased with yourself. You didn’t expect it.
Not all of a sudden.
Though, you also didn’t expect Woojin to follow close behind you. You didn’t expect him to knock on the door with three gentle taps of his knuckles and ask, “Are you okay in there?” just louder than a whisper.
You didn’t expect to open the door for him and bury your face in his chest as he stroked your hair. You didn’t expect him to close the door again so you could cry in peace without anyone prying.
You didn’t expect the two of you to slide down the door, end up in a messy pile on the floor and lean against each other while he whispered small words of encouragement and comfort.
You didn’t expect to start falling asleep on his shoulder when he started humming softly. You didn’t expect him to say, “You’re pretty endearing when you’re half-asleep”. You didn’t expect him not to ask about what was bothering you. He just sat there, listening to you cry and rubbing your back in long, gentle strokes.
You were grateful for that. You didn’t even fully understand why you were crying.
It was unexpected... But it was wonderful. You thought you were going to be the one comforting him, but in the end, you were the one that needed it. Needed him. But that just proved something to you.
It proved that he was worth the ten steps you would have to take to reach his heart. It proved to you that he would be there for you in the tough times, and that he was totally worth you being there for him.
It proved to you that when you completed Step 5: Do Something He Likes Doing, he genuinely meant it when he said, “I wanna hear you sing” when he dragged you out to karaoke with some of his friends from highschool.
It proved to you that when you went through Step 6: Compliment Him, he had a truly soft heart. Even more so than Youngmin had said!
“You dance really well,” you had told him one day after watching one of AB6IX’s performances.
He froze a little, the compliment catching him off guard. “Well... Thanks,” he said.
You eyes widened and a smile spread across your face. “Are you blushing?” you giggled.
He scoffed and turned away from you. “Absolutely not.”
“You totally are!”
“Not!”
Youngmin walked by, smacking his shoulder playfully. “Are,” he said, flashing you a supportive wink.
You gained a proud look on your face. “See? Your leader’s on my side! You can’t deny me!”
Woojin rolled his eyes playfully. “Fine, fine. Whatever you say.”
“It is whatever I say!” you determined. “And I say, I like the way you dance.”
He suddenly turned around, causing you to bump into his chest. “And I like your hugs,” he said. He waited expectantly. “So are you gonna give me one?”
It proved to you that when you went through Step 7: Hang Out At Your Place, you didn’t need to feel awkward or worried at all. He made you feel nervous, but nervous in the best way. The nervousness of heart-eyes and butterflies.
So, in a way, that nervousness gave you peace. That nervousness was your place of balance and tranquility. You could always come to Park Woojin and know you would feel the same way, no matter how much time passed.
Warm. Always so incredibly warm.
It made you impatient for Step 10, but you knew that it was a selfish and foolish wish. If you could speed up time (like you wished for sometimes), you would miss precious moments that you spent with him.
You would miss watching a movie with him at sunset, a fluffy blanket draped over your laps, though you sat a good distance away from each other.
You would miss hogging said fluffy blanket just a little too much and him threatening, “If you steal the blanket one more time, I’m putting my cold-ass feet on your bare thigh.”
You would miss the fun events of Step 8: Tease Him that ended with you both running around an old playground at midnight, trying to throw melting ice cream at each other.
You would miss Step 9: Have a Sleepover At the Dorms, which resulted in you having the best night of your life. You didn’t think you’d ever laughed so much since you were born. You had seen Youngmin constantly put the placement of games in such a way that you would be sitting next to Woojin.
He really was the best wing-man.
The best part of that evening hadn’t been the loudest or funniest, though... It had been when everyone had fallen asleep on you and you were left to do the dishes after a super unhealthy (but very delicious) meal.
Well... Mostly everybody.
“Let’s do the dishes together.”
Of course, it was Park Woojin.
Finally, after all the waiting... It was time for Step 10: Hook, Line and Sinker.
You didn’t think you would be so nervous.
“Crap...” you mumbled to yourself. “Why am I so sweaty all of a sudden?” You eyes widened. “Did I forget to put on deodorant? Holy crap—”
You felt a comforting touch on your shoulder. “Calm down!” Youngmin said. He turned your head, making you look at him. “You’re gonna be okay, all right?”
“Am I, though?” You gestured to your knees. “I’m trembling, Minnie!”
He clicked his tongue and put his hands on his hips. “Repeat after me,” he said. You nodded. He was weird, but he was usually right. “I am a strong, fantastic, charming young woman,” he spoke, confidence in his tone.
“Are you now?” you snorted.
He snapped his fingers in your face. “Take it seriously!”
“Fine!” You rolled your eyes. “I am a strong, fantastic, charming young woman,” you echoed dryly.
“I could have any man I want,” he continued. You repeated him. “But I don’t want just any man.”
You took a deep breath. “But I don’t want just any man.”
“I only want one,” he said.
You felt yourself winding down. “I only want one.”
“I want Woojin.”
You copied him, “I want Woojin.”
He flashed you a toothy grin. “Nice one! Now—what are you?”
“A strong, fantastic, charming young woman,” you said with a grin, “and I could have any man I want.”
“But do you want just any man?”
You shook you head. “No, I don’t.”
“Then who do you want?”
You didn’t hesitate at all. “Woojin. I want Park Woojin.”
A slow clap sounded from the other side of the room, shocking both of you.
“That was quite the show.” You both recognized the voice immediately.
Youngmin gave you a quick tap on the shoulder, a silent ‘good luck’. “I’m gonna go,” he whispered before breezing past you and out of the door of the previously empty practice room.
You slowly turned around—albeit a little awkwardly—to face Woojin. “How much of that did you...” you were struggling with words at the moment.
“Hear?” he finished for you, a playful grin on his face, showcasing his snaggle tooth. “Pretty much all of it.”
You hid your face in your hands, “Oh my gosh,” you groaned. You peeked through the spaces in between your fingers. “And what do you think?” you asked shyly.
A short pause just for him to walk closer and grab your hands, pulling them away from your face. Once again, his cheeks were painted the slightest shade of pink.
“I think that I love you,” he said softly. “I think that you are love.”

Chapter 4: Fuck my Drag right?
The events of the sports festival unfolded and everyone is being recognized for their feats. Iida has put his feelings for Ita on the back burner as his brother was disabled by the Hero Killer. The internships happened and everyone is coming back from them.
-Monday, in homeroom with Mimi and Jin-
“Y'all heard about what happened?”
“YEAH! bitch I’m scared”
“Me too, what’s going to happen next?”
“I’m just glad nobody died and that the students are ok”
“you say that because Glasses was one of the students”
“NO ITS BECAUSE I’M THEIR CLASSMATE! I would feel the same if it was you two”
“Aww Ita!” said Mimi and Jin, coming in for the group hug.
The mood changed when Diya sensei came in. He seemed unusually peppy from his usual neutral or gritty moods.
“Good morning class, lets settle down for some big announcements” he said with a smile that we didn’t trust. “As you all may have heard about the attack and the students involved, due to those incidents, our department has moved some lessons around to have our students more prepared to be ready to defend the others and each other.”
He takes out the syllabus,”if you can take out your syllabus so you can mark the changes” we comply.
“Ok so instead of just working on our semester final project until the marked due date, we also have to do our week long incognito lesson with practice starting Wednesday. In weaponry we’re going over defense and escape for next week. Our licensing exam is still in 2 weeks and the semester final project has been extended to 1st day of 2nd semester.”
I finish the changes and think, wow even we’re affected by all this.
Jin raises his hand
“Yes Matsui?”
“Are also having extra training sessions in prep for the licensing?”
“yes we are! thank you for reminding me” Diya sensei said “For the next 2 weeks, we will be training for most of homeroom and all of weaponry. For the ones that go to other classes, will still go to them and follow their schedule. If you have a free period, you can work on your projects then if you need school resources.”
Jin then looks at us and I knew he was going to claim us 1st before anyone else does. Bold of him to think I’d go with anyone else.
“Now that we have that done, on to the other news!” he said with another smile that made us feel uneasy, “our jumpsuits and gear came in! I’ll give them out in weaponry to see if they need to be re-adjusted. Secondly, we need to discuss the incognito lesson.”
I sit there thinking that it was going to be something like how to not look obviously like a spy/agent. Nope.
“For incognito week, you have to take up a persona and run with it for a full week. You have until Wednesday to come up with your persona along with clothing, makeup and voice pattern” Diya sensei said as straight faced as possible “Rules to adhere to: MUST be opposite sex, 3 different outfits, cause some chaos and keep your stories straight.”
I raise my hand.
“Yes Palma?”
“So this is just like Ru Paul’s Drag Race but we gotta lip sync for our grade?”
“Actually yea, exactly like that. So bring your best drag everyone! If you don’t have a certain part of an outfit or uniform, ask your classmates if you can borrow their’s for the week”
I suddenly love my class so much. We get to creating our personas and in weaponry we get our costumes. Mine thankfully fit and the gear was so cool that I could hardly keep my eyes off them. We get ear pieces and voice changers that fit right on the molars. I changed mine to make my voice a believable mezzo-tenor male voice. I then remembered I still have to go to my hero class and asked if I need to give them a fair warning before I show up in full boy drag. Diya sensei basically said that he’ll tell Aizawa but I don’t have to tell the class if I don’t want to. The cause some chaos rule is a free get out of jail card for us for that week, we can do anything but physical damage to property.
-Wednesday in Homeroom-
“AHHHH! I’m so excited!” I said to Jin “I can’t wait to show y’all my drag! I got a wig and everything!”
“I got fake hair buns and brought a dress for my extras, I already have some fem features” said Jin “did you bring the makeup?”
“yee yee, can’t wait to make you look sparkly and cute!”
Mimi walks in with their stuff.
“Sorry I’m lowkey late, the upperclassman that I asked to borrow their uniform pants was running late” said Mimi out of breath.
We started class and turned in our persona sheet to sensei and then we got into full drag. Jin was one of the cutest girls, persona name: Deez Natsu. Mimi was an ok looking dude, persona name: Suka Raboski. I looked more like an edgy boy, persona name: Takeshi Tboone.
“wow takeshi, thats a choice”
“Oof Suka I can see your lace”
“Y’aint at my level dawgs!”
We go through the rest of weaponry and walk out looking like completely different people. I get my things and sensei wishes me luck on fooling them.
-in the hero course classroom, before I arrive-
“Iida-kun, how is your brother doing?” asked Midoriya
“He’s doing better but it looks like he can’t walk”
“oh my, sorry if I brought up a sensitive topic”
“no it’s alright, you deserve to know”
Denki butt in “so Iida, are you going to ask Palma-san to a date today? Or am I going to steal your girl”
“Oh please, if you asked her out again, she’d give you another atomic wedgie but off the flag pole!” chortled Uraraka.
“tch just tell her already four eyes!” said Bakugo “I’m getting sick of hearing about her”
“I don’t think I can! I have too much on my mind already and I can’t manage a relationship on top of it all” said Iida.
“Bold of you to assume she’ll say yes” said Kirishima under his breath.
“Kirishima thats rude!” Mina said in defense.
I then walk in, with my bag slung over my shoulder, fuck boy posture and sunnies on. I had my stories in check, I copied some 2nd year’s elasticity quirk (my brother’s quirk that I can maintain for 5 hours with mastery) right before I went to class. So if anybody is gonna try me, I got me.
“Um excuse me, but who are you?” asked Shoji as I sat down.
“yea and that seat is already taken by Palma-san!” said Momo, ready to fight.
“tuh! That’s no way to treat a transfer, didn’t she tell you?” I said in my best tough guy tone.
“Palma-san didn’t say anything! where is she?! I swear if you hurt her!” said Iida in a demanding tone.
“She’s, not at school at the moment, so you’ll be dealing with me, Takeshi Tboone, American bastard.” I said as slick as I could. It was a true feat not laughing after saying bastard as your title.
“I don’t know why but he’s kinda cute” Hagakure whispered to Asui.
Aizawa sensei walked in and saw my grin and gave me the ‘i know’ look.
“forgot that was today, huh, well be kind to our transfer Tboone.” said Aizawa, also trying not to laugh.
“sensei, where’s Palma-san then?” said Jiro
“Palma-san is at the East-side hero school, on temporary transfer” Aizawa said while looking at the persona sheet I gave them the day before, “If Palma-san likes the other school better, she’ll stay there. And we’ll have Tboone-san for the rest of the remaining years until graduation.”
“why would she want to transfer? This is the top school!” exclaimed Iida.
“I see what she means by aggressive classmates, but I’m tougher!” I said “she doesn’t feel safe here dawg, she feels like everyone is after her and doesn’t like her so you better pray that she’ll crawl back here.”
Iida started to think that he should’ve never done what he’s done to Ita and convinced himself that it’s his fault that he drove her to transfer. Class goes on and the girls are all over Takeshi, which is bad because I didn’t plan on being an ACTUAL fuck boi. I pack up my things, which are just Jin’s things and Jin has mine, and I hear the delicate tip taps of a ‘girl’ running.
“Takeshi! Here you are my sweet~” said Jin, really playing the part of Deez.
“oh sup bitch come here and give me a little sugar.” I say as I stretch my arm out to grab them by the waist and pulled them into a fake kiss.
“I love it when you kiss me in front of other girls” he said as he gives side eye to the girls of 1-A, “you hear that! HE’S MINE!” as he jumps onto me.
Everyone was in shock, not only was he new but has a girlfriend?! Who the hell was that girl anyways?! Iida gets jealous that it could’ve been him and Ita if he spoke up sooner.
“Hey Tboone-san” said Kirishima with a warm smile.
“oh sup red-san”
“hahaha! The names Kirishima” he said “glad to have you in the class! that other girl was suspicious”
“oh word dawg? bitches be crazy!”
“Yea but you seem like the super manly type! wanna sit with us at lunch?” he said pointing at Bakugo, Sero, Mina and Denki.
“sounds tight! but I did promise my girl that I’d eat with her”
“I made fried rice!” Jin said, almost breaking character because he was really proud of his fried rice.
“Oh alright, maybe tomorrow then!”
“sounds litty, Later Red-san, Pink-san, Mad-san, Pika-san and Office Supply-san” I said while being dragged away by Jin.
“dude what the fuck, this is fucking crazy!” said Jin
“I know! where the hell is Mimi?!”
“That’s where we’re going, she’s swarmed by girls!”
We get to the patio and there they were, surrounded by girls. Mimi looked like they were gonna pass out because of all the pretty ones. I stretch my arms out and picked up Mimi from the circle and ran like hell to the intelligence wing. Jin deployed a portal before the crowd got to us and we portal in a pile inside of the commons room. We laugh a bit about our little tussle then I get a text, it’s Iida,
[Hi Palma-san I didn’t see you today in class and I have to say is that, I’m sorry, really sorry that you don’t feel safe or wanted at this school]
“oof guys look” I say as I show them the text.
“yikes what are you going to tell him?” Mimi said as I get another text, also from Iida,
[I feel responsible for you wanting to transfer. I shouldn’t have forced you to do anything. What can I do fix this? A lot of us prefer you over the transfer.]
“double yikes! a double text!” Jin said with a mouthful of fried rice, then I get another text
[ I know you won’t see these texts until later, but I miss you. Please respond when you can]
Jin and Mimi are looking at me, waiting to see what kind of melodrama I am going to start.
[Iida, I know you feel bad but the truth is, I feel unliked in the hero department. Everyone is pressuring me to be a hero or leave. Can’t I just learn about your culture without being part of it? I miss you too, you’re my only true friend in that class]
“wow Ita, this week is going to be spicy” said Jin.
He was right, everyone liked Takeshi a little more than Ita and hurt a little but the week was almost over. Sunday afternoon and I was getting my outfits ready for the next 3 days and I get a text, it’s Iida,
[Hi Palma-san, sorry if this is so sudden but are you available to spend some time with me? I’m in the area]
Oh jeez what do I say to that?
[Oh sure, where do you want to meet?]
[I can meet you in front of your complex]
[oh sure! just let me get dressed, let me know when you get here]
I quickly changed into a sun dress, did a low bun and some quick makeup to hide the fact that I partied last night with my class and woke up at 1pm.
[I am here in the front]
[ok, I’ll be right there!]
I teleport to the front and Iida looks at me like I was the most stunning thing on the street.
“Palma-san you look so pretty!” he said as he gave me a tight hug “I’ve missed you dear classmate.”
“oh! its only been four days.”
“doesn’t matter! point is that I want to spend time with you” Iida said as he released me from his embrace “shall we get going? I saw this cozy cafe that I wanted to check out.”
“Oh I frequent that place! I love it and I think you’d like it too”
As we walk to the place, theres heavy foot traffic. Iida doesn’t have a problem walking through but I was being pushed and falling behind. I reached out to grab his shirt to not lose him in the crowd.
“hm? Oh Palma-san! I’m sorry I didn’t know you were falling behind.”
“Oh I’m alright, I didn’t want to lose you in the crowd.”
“well then, here, take my hand” he said carefully holding mine “so we don’t lose each other”
I didn’t notice but Iida was blushing hard and I was just excited to order some berry tart and a latte. We get to the place and sat at a table where I could face the window and see the people passing by. We talked about Tboone-san and he really didn’t like the guy and I just sat there trying not to laugh. Iida changes the subject,
“So Palma-san, I’ve been thinking” he said as confidently as possible “that we should be honest with each other, now that we’re close”
“um ok, what do you want to know about me?”
“What name do you prefer to be called? What’s your favorite flower? Who do you like at school?-” he kept listing questions but my gaze was over at the window. I saw the boy with the lemon colored hair with his friends pass by and the boy so happened to make eye contact with me and didn’t break it until I was out of sight.
“Ita”
“hm? what was that?” Iida asked confused
“I like to be called Ita, Itati is my full first name but it doesn’t have the ring that Ita has”
“Ita...a cute name for a cute girl” he said and I choked on my latte.
“oh jeez I’m sorry hehe, I’m just not used to compliments like that, they make me uneasy”
“Why?”
“In America, when somebody compliments you like that and the person isn’t close to you, its like a form of bullying” I say as I stare at my latte “so when I got here and I got these compliments, I feared for my life for like two weeks.”
“I had no idea! I’m sorry that I made you feel that” Iida said while chopping his hands “I’ll be more careful”
“oh its alright, I’ll adjust!”
We walk around the area a bit more then he walks me to my complex. He grips my hand a bit tighter as we approach the front.
“hey Ita”
“yeah?”
“Have you decided if you want to transfer to that school?”
“I haven’t actually” I say trying to maintain my stories, “I have until the end of classes Tuesday to say yes or no.”
“Oh I see, it’s just that, I-I” Iida struggled to find his words “I promise to be nicer to you if you come back”
“what-”
“I mean it, I made you cry when we met. What kind of friend am I if I’m the cause of your tears and insecurity?! I’ll be nice, just come back”
I start to tear up, he really thinks its his fault. I let the tears fall, fuck this is dumb. He sees me cry and he panics and stops to wipe my tears. He cradles my face in his hands, if he didn’t make it clear that he wanted to be friends, I would’ve kissed him.
“Please don’t be sad, I promise to be sweet and kind to you from now on! I want you to feel protected and a cherished part of the school, if everyone is against you, I will be the one to be by your side. Okay?”
I cry even more, I think about how the hell am I going to break it to him that Tboone is just me in full boy drag and I’m not going anywhere. We say goodbye and I teleport in my room. Oof can’t wait for this whole thing to blow over.
-Tuesday, after school in the patio-
I was on my way to usual spot where I’ve been hiding to teleport near my house this week when I see some boys pestering somebody thats leaning against the tree. I get closer and see that it’s Kirishima and Bakugo. uh oh, time to initiate solo operation SAVE THE GAYS.
“yo yo yo! what’s the haps fellas?”
“we found these faggots being gay” said the taller boy of the bunch.
“yeah! we were about to teach them a lesson!” said the gremlin looking one.
“Oh yea? Fellas, allow me to take of this, eye sore.” I say as I put my bag down and stand in front of Kirishima and Bakugo with the other boys on either side of me.
“Tboone-san what the hell? I thought we were cool!” said Kirishima
I give a smirk as I stretch my arms out to the bullies. I give them the ass-whoopin of their life as Kirishima and Bakugo stand and stare how hard I was going. When they had enough, I grabbed them by the collar and said
“If I see any y’all pestering the gays being gays, I won’t hesitate to beat your homophobic asses and chop your dicks off and make you eat them, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!”
“YES YEA PLEASE NO MORE!”
“good, I’m giving you to the count of 5 to get out of my sight before I give you another serving” I say clenching my fist as I let go of them. They scatter and run like hell before I could start counting.
“Tboone-san, that was so courageous of you.” said a still shocked Bakugo.
“That was the manliest thing I’ve ever seen! Tboone-san, how can we ever repay you?” said Kirishima.
“oh its cool dawg, I was just being a bro” I said as I was picking up my bag “see you later! your secret is safe with me.”
I walk away to my hidden spot and think, wow what a way to be remembered.
-Wednesday, in the hero course classroom-
“Hey Iida, do you think Palma-san is happy?” asked Tokoyami to a very deflated Iida as he stares at the emtpy desk.
“I don’t know, I poured my sincerity out to her and she sounded unsure.”
“Are you going to be alright Iida-kun?” Uraraka asked worriedly “you don’t look too well.”
“I’ll manage, don’t worry about me”
Class starts and I don’t show up to class because I needed some extra training for my licensing exam. Everybody else thinks it’s because I stayed at the other school and Tboone didn’t like the school. Aizawa knew the truth but didn’t say anything. Class ends and Iida walks to the patio to sit under a tree and ponder his text to Ita.
[Hi Ita, hope your having a good day at school. I need to tell you something important, I don’t care if you don’t feel the same way back. I like you, more than a friend, I’m sorry I didn’t say it earlier. It kills me that you’re not here, I spent most of class staring at your desk hoping you’d teleport in any moment. I was too coward to admit it but it’s obvious now, I have fallen for you. You’re as rare as a desert flower, as sweet as honey, as strong as a crashing wave, as beautiful as ]
he stops typing and deletes his text. He didn’t see the point of pestering her if she already made her choice. Meanwhile Ita is on campus but preparing for her licensing in 2 days. The rest of the school day passes and Iida walks to the parking lot, and to his surprise, he sees a very weary Ita walking to their car.
“ITA! ITA!”
I turn around “who the hell tryna get they ass run over?” I mutter.
I see Iida running toward me, giving me no time to escape, I brace myself for impact. To my surprise he stops before crashing into me and gives me a tight hug.
“Where have you been?! I thought you decided to stay at the other school and I got sad.”
“Oh no! I was doing extra training for my licensing exam, its in 2 days”
“Oh my apologies, is that why you look a bit roughed up?” he said releasing me from the hug.
“yea hehe I was struggling in detonate and defuse” I said as I showed him my bandaged hands “no copy quirking for me for a while.”
He gently took my hands in his, tracing the insides of them with his thumbs.
“In two days you say? Can I have the class see you off?”
“um sure if its ok with sensei, I don’t want to take away class time from yall”
The two days pass and as we were having our luggage check. The Hero 1-A class came out to see me off.
“Do your best Palma-san! We believe in you!” said a bunch of them.
“why is your class so small?” said Kirishima.
“Intelligence course class are the smallest because of the popularity of the course” said Jin “all of us wanted to be in the program and got admitted in without having to do the entrance exam.”
“Yep, even your dear sensei considered joining” said Aizawa “but I really wanted to stick it to the man with my abilities.”
“OOOH! I love your class pet!” Mina said fawning over Zippy the lizard “I wish we had one!”
“Please Mina, with our class, that poor creature won’t survive a day!” said Midoriya.
Our bus arrived and I turn to say bye and I get a tight hug from Iida.
“Be safe Ita, do your best! I’ll miss you”
“I’m only going to be gone for a day and a half!”
Everyone in the class was motioning Iida to kiss Ita. The kiss didn’t happen but I said my good byes and boarded the bus. The licensing happened at the USJ were we did target shooting, detonate and defuse, rescue the hero, save the citizens, and would you rather life or death edition (like would you rather but with people and guns). The class passes the exam, including Zippy, it was the 1st time in years the whole class passes according to Diya sensei. There was much to celebrate once we got back but on the way to the school, the bus breaks down. Instead of waiting for the repairs, since we were a mile away from school, we pushed the bus all the way to school. We used our quirks and strength to push the bus and everyone on that road stopped to admire our teamwork. When we got to school, we made so much noise hollering that we passed and pushed a whole bus to school, it drew alot of attention to us and anyone within earshot came out to see.
“ok ok everyone lets settle down” said a very tired Diya sensei “Miss Palma, if you teleport in, you can still make it to your hero class.”
“Oh ok are you sure yall don’t need help bringing in stuff?”
“No we have things handled, go! you have 5 mins before it starts”
“got it! Thank you!”
-Meanwhile in the Hero 1-A classroom-
“I think Palma-san is back” said Denki walking back in the classroom “a group of students are hollering in the front of the school”
“Wonder what happened?” said Todoroki
“Her entire class passed” said Aizawa as he walked in “including the lizard.”
“That damn reptilian passed?” Bakugo said astounded “tch this licensing exam will be a piece of cake if a lizard can pass it!”
Mina raised her hand.
“We aren’t getting a class pet and train it to be a hero for the last time Mina!” said Aizawa at his wits end with the requests for a class pet. “Just because their sensei let them, doesn’t mean I will. Besides, those kids are on another level of smart, that lizard knows how to drive a small vehicle.”
As everything is happening in the classroom, I am too weak to teleport in the room so I teleport in front of the Hero wing and start booking it. As I run, I start to mentally prepare for all the questions and what stories to tell. I get distracted and I run into somebody and I fall back. Fuck I think, this is so embarrassing.
“sorry! I was in a rush! are you-” I start rush apologizing then I saw their face, it was the lemon haired boy. They we’re standing there, looking at me.
“I should be the one apologizing! You’re the one on the floor” he said extending his hand out to help me up “say, aren’t you that American student? From intelligence?”
“Um yes, how did you know?”
“I’ve heard about you and caught some glimpses of you in passing” he said “I am impressed by your accomplishments, I’d love to see you in action”
“oh uh thank you, sorry to cut this short but I have to get to class” I say as I start running again.
“Bye! I hope to talk to you again!” waved the lemon haired boy.
I start to think, he’s cute, I wouldn’t mind talking to him again but who is he? I get to the door and I walk in out of breath.
“Hi, I’m alive” I say as I do a weak spin into a dab.
“Nice track suit Palma-san” said Momo “was it custom made?”
I look at my track suit, it’s a black and orange with my last name on the butt. “oh it is custom but my sister sent this to me to pester me about my big ass” I say as I show everyone the PALMA on the butt in big lettering.
We start class and they announce their licensing exam is also coming up along with their final exams and training at an undisclosed forest campground. Lucky for me, they don’t apply to me but I still train with them when it’s class-time. I notice that Iida wasn’t talking to me or looking at me like he usually does. I wonder what happened while I was gone. Class ends and I pack my bag and think about that boy in the hallway again, can’t believe I didn’t catch his name.
“Hey Ita” said Iida softly
“Hi, are you doing alright? You look a bit distracted.”
“I’m fine! um do you want to have lunch with me in the patio? I packed food”
“oh sure let me tell Mimi and Jin” I say as I stick my finger in my ear.
“this is Palma, contacting Oleshin and Matsui, over”
“Oleshin on the line/ Matsui on the line, over”
“Requesting a 508, repeat a 508, over”
“Permission granted/permission seconded, over”
“Thank you, have a good lunch, over”
“Wow you got ear pieces?” said Iida in awe
“Yea, we got them for in field practice but will special permission, the school lets the whole program use them to communicate with each other.”
We walk to the patio and sit under a tree. Iida takes out a fairly big tupperware container and hands it to me.
“Here, I made you a fresh treat, because you deserve it”
“oh thank you, you didn’t have to make me anything!” I said shyly
“I insist! You deserve some rest and treats for all your hard work these last few weeks” He said putting the container on my lap “I also have some fresh flowers, dark chocolates and lemon water. All just for you”
He arranges everything around me to set up a peaceful atmosphere. I open the container and I see perfectly cut cucumber, orange and mango with some lime wedges and salt shaker.
“Oh my god! It’s like I’m back home!” I say exclaimed as my mouth watered “you did your research, didn’t you Iida-san?”
“And what if I did? I just wanted to do something nice for you” he said as he closed his bag “you bring me peace during these scary times.”
“oh I see” I say as I start eating some mango “well, I’m glad that I am”
“hm? why?”
“Because, you could be out there, getting hurt again and blinded with rage and revenge. But you’re here, with me, healing yourself from the toxicity of it all.”
“I didn’t think of it that way, I just feel calmer and happier if you’re around me”
“I feel like I exist to be that peaceful and calm for the people around me” I said reminiscing the calmer times “back home, I brought order and peace in my household. With my friends, I give love and acceptance. And honestly, I haven’t felt like that since I got here but you helped me remind myself of the one thing that defines me. Thank you Iida-san.”
“Call me Tenya”
“Ok then, Tenya, thank you for making me feel cherished and myself again”
In the distance, the Baku-squad are spying through a 2nd floor window.
“I wonder what they’re saying?” said Sero.
“Who cares?! Four eyes is finally saying his stupid feelings to Palma-san” growled Bakugo.
“They’ve been spending alot of time together lately” pondered Kirishima “Maybe I was wrong about her, she might be just a foreigner that barely made it here.”
“huh? Palma-san was still on your suspicion list?” asked Mina “she’s really nice and cool, would a spy be that willing to be friends with us?”
“I still think I can woo her to a date” muttered Denki as he leaned against the wall.
The day ends and I get home in a happier state of mind. But the difficulty and heart twisting events are fast approaching, and I have to rise to the occasion to get through them. Not just for me, but for the ones that need me.
-End Chapter 4-
