Okay but after reading @rainbow-crane make their character analysis for Sayaka I realise how much of a placeholder tutorial guide she is.

Like @yukiteruakari told me about the idea that first and second (I MIGHT BE WRONG ABOUT THE CONCEPT AND IM SO SORRY IF I AM) and how they're in a loop trying to stop Danganronpa, but Leon always ends up being the first blackened, he does everything to stop it. But Sayaka each time breaks the fourth wall and helps the player through challenges.

It's almost like she knows what's going to happen - she can't stop it - but this isn't the first makoto, this is the 5-millionth Makoto (based on copies bough in 2021).

They have no idea what they're doing or what they're in for, but she does. a "You don't know me... but I know you." kind of moment. She knows everything, but even the other characters like Aoi, Kyoko, Mondo, Kiyotaka etc. think that they're in the universe for the first time, they don't know if they're going to die, even Junko doesn't know what's going to happen.

Just Sayaka and Leon. Fighting to stop Danganronpa THH from ever beginning. And as the player if you advance you get no more guidance from them. They're stuck dead in your game, but they thrive in their version of an "au" (just another copy of the game) almost as if they're begging the player to stop. But it's against the game. It's against the code and they can't do it. They have to follow the dialogue when Makoto/placeholder/-Y-N is near. Almost as if every other character when Makoto isn't around just freezes and stands still, and Sayaka and Leon are the only ones actually functioning unless Makoto is near or they have an interaction coming up with him.

They know what happens. They know that they kill eachother. Nothing can stop it from happening, and once they die they don't continue the game. They don't know who lives and dies next because everybody else other than Makoto/Placeholder/Y-N is just coding that gets removed.

Tragic Leosaya. Tragic.

So I did it guys.... chapter one is published. I genuinely don't think I've been this happy in weeks. I've been so sick, stressed, worried. But I found the inspiration to finish a whole 2k word chapter in one sitting, in like... 2 hours. I also edited it, but since I wrote it on wattpad some grammatical errors might not show, I'll move it to word and fix stuff like that tomorrow.

Give it a read if you're interested, keep in mind I'm 14 years old... so don't expect it to be a masterpiece lmao. I also don't know how long the chapters are going to be, but if I set my goal at 1.5k and keep giving you guys updates I shouldn't stop writing/lose motivation!

"Ah!" She lurched forwards falling onto her hands and knees as the door opened, getting to her feet she began to scream desperately... maybe somebody would hear her cries of agony and rush in to help!

Soundproof...

"You need to listen to me, just calm down okay?!"

Like a punch... sharper...

Slowly looking down she whimpered. What had just... happened...?

Her vision began to blur as she slid down the closest wall, bleeding out...

Why... why... why was this happened to her?! How could her plan have gone so wrong?!

"Kuwata....-Kun......?"

And yes, PTSD Leon is going to be in this. Poor bb, I feel like I'm putting him through more than the writers did... actually, that's NOT TRUE (!!!) because the writers used him as a test dummy and stuff. :(

Is it obvious what I'm trying to do here?

Context: Chapter 19 of my fic, Sayaka just died to the loop and Leon is alone on the third floor of the school next to the reactor.

As he did, suddenly he felt sick. A wave of nausea rushed over his body as he began to cough, leaning on the edge of the reactor. His back was hunched over and his knees were bent, shaking and buckling.

It felt like he was dying.

And then he was.

Silence. Nothing.

No light. No sound.

No form. No voice.

No knowledge of who he was.

Who... was he?

He was Leon Kuwata, the Ultimate Baseball Star. Wasn't he?

That was... who he was...

But why did it feel different? Why did he feel different? 

Who was he really?

Was he truly... Leon Kuwata...?

Was he just another Ultimate...? Or was he nobody at all?

Reaching out a hand into the darkness, as if trying to reach for something that wasn't truly there

A ghost, a spirit. Something of the past.

That was all he was...

Until the light blinded him, and the door swung open.

And he saw a girl infront of him.

"Not yet."

The familliar voice pushed his thoughts back, as he stumbled backwards. He couldn't move, he couldn't speak. His voice wasn't doing as his brain willed, his body wasn't following as he wanted it to.

The world blacked out, a lingering feeling of something that was missing. And then once more, Leon Kuwata was...

Nothing...

Leon opened his eyes and sat up gasping for air and rapidly looking around at his surroundings.

The girl who had spoken was Mukuro Ikusaba.

He was back at Hopes' Peak Academy. Near the reactor. Next to Sayaka Maizono's body. Leaning on Mukuro.

Okay, so I wasn't sure where to go, so I wrote Sayaka's chapter but now I have to go back and do Leon's POV, which might take some time. Here's a cool schmool preview for anybody interested!

Sayaka turned around and used the trick to open the door that Makoto had taught her. When she opened the door Leon stumbled into her, and she felt a thick trail of blood fall down her stomach.

"Sayaka!" He screamed wrapping his arms around her, trying to help her stand.

Maizono's legs began to shake and buckle as she fell down against the wall.

She looked down at her stomach slowly, and then up at Leon.

A knife was lodged in place, she touched the thick blood and looked at it as it shone on her fingers.

"Maizono-Chan...?" Leon bent down to her level, on his hands and knees, trying to figure out what to do.

"Leon... go." Sayaka tried to be firm, but her voice began to shake. She was scared of what would happen next.

"I- I didn't... that... I wasn't holding..." He choked out, he seemed be crying as he looked down at his bloodied hands slowly, the realisation slapping him in the face.

"I know..."
