observation made my other people but i just figured i’d weight in on it— the man at the wedding is the bartender from half, that’s been established now. what i’m saying is that this means that it’s likely that kazui and this guy new each other in some way, and we’re likely close (unless he knew his wife, but i feel like that’s unlikely). also, when kazui hits his “hey, so what if i said i liked- liked you? what would you do?” he is. at the bar. we don’t see anyone else in the shot, so it’s likely the bar is empty. so who on earth could he be talking to if not someone else at the bar? well, probably the one person who HAS to be at the bar, aka the bar keeper, aka this man we know he knows, and is likely very close to.

so yeah, i’m still a kazui gay truther case in point, and i haven’t looked at other peoples interpretations too much so i’m probably just echoing what other people have said, but i needed to put it into words

Kazui has to hide major aspects of himself to be given "love", to be "accepted".

and Amane has to keep herself in line and do exactly what she's told and taught to do to be given "love", to be "accepted".

to be able to show your true self and be loved as who you are and not who people think you should be.

and to be able to exist and be loved without limits and rules that take that "love" away when broken.

but the thing is all 4 of these statements can apply to both of them
