But a Sirenix redesign of my first Sirenix redesign!

I finished the Flora, Bloom Roxy and my Sona first so imma compare them with the old and new styles:

Note: i got inspired by bethnan.draws on Instagram. Obv i didn’t steal/copy her designs, i did however used similar/same inspiration she had, but obv changed a few things to keep it original.

Main changes: i kept the tail/skirt, but made them more transparent and a little longer. In general the colors are more simplified. I also went with a more bathsuit/bikini design too. I also removed the leggings cus they were a little too much. I also made the hair longer cus i like long hair :3 and i changed the wings too.

Generally, i have a power concept: i believe that certain fairies have more power depending on the transformation. (´neutral´ transformations like Enchantix or Mythix are excluded from this) They are more ˋconnected´ to their source so they are more powerful. The opposite works for fairies who have the opposite power, they feel less connected and are a little weaker bc of that. Imma tell you who has the most connection and how i symbolised it with shoes. Barefoot = more connected, sandals = less connected, shoes = least connected

Old VS New:

So for Roxy, i used a more simpler design. I did keep the beta fish look, but used a moon tail rather than a krontail. I made her hair longer and more colorful to fit her aesthetic more. I made her look more fishy and barefeeted cus i believe her animal powers are nature based, so she feels a lot more connected to the aquatic creatures that live there.

For my Sona, i went with a more simpler look too, making her look more similar to those dragon sea slugs (they so fcking pretty omg). Due to her dragon powers (read sona profile to find out more) she actually has scales on her body. Her element is the sky, so she doesnt feel as connected to the ocean so she wears sandals. Other than that, her look stayed pretty much the same, only her wings changed from silhouette

Old VS New:

Ok, i gave Bloom some leafy dragon seahorse elements, but in a totally different way ofc. Ofc, shes part dragon so she has scales too! Bc she has the power of the dragon flame, shes the least connected to the Sirenix transformation bc Fire is the opposite of water, indicated by her shoes.

You can have your opinions about this, i believe in this. No i dont hate Bloom or make her weak for fun. This rules counts to all the transformations and i will obv say whos weaker and stronger in what transformation. And just cus Bloom is weaker doesn’t mean she can’t kick ass. So haters don’t leave any nasty comments, this just feels more realistic to me.

Back to the topic: I made her hair more punky, kept her outfit pretty much the same since i adore the pink/plum colors on her.

My dear Flora looks as gorgeous as always. She too is more connected to the ocean due to her nature powers. The only changes i really did are the streaks in her hair and her wings.

It won't be the same like last time

Discussion on a developing pattern in 2.0,2.1,2.2 and what this is potentially leading to.

Again spoilers for 1.9 and CN servers (feel free to discuss in comments about this since there isnt a dedicated space for CN spoilers discussion, I mean for good reason but yeah throwing ideas at a wall again.

So far the first three patches of the 2.0 storyline seem to all hammer home this one thing: it won't be like last time, things are different.

Ofc! You say, lemme explain.

2.0 introduces a new side of Manus, the Order of Enlightenment; in parallel to Manus they attempt to remain unknown and unseen by manipulating everyone believing Arcana is dead. In the long term this will only benefit the Manus as their operations can continue more covertly.

2.1 shows growth in Vertin, Tuesday's illusion almost servers as a checkpoint to reflect on Vertin's past regrets in the Breakaway Incident: in large part she has overcome those struggles, with the Umbrella now people like Schneider can be saved from the Storm. Taunting her with these regrets will not stop her like the last time.Vertin suffered with her inability to save everyone now has the means to do so. It won't be like last time.

2.2 shows us the literal equivalent of the Green Oranges scene with Nala and Vertin (Anjo Nala and Schneider parallels go brr). Vertin being thrown into a situation where she must use a gun again succeeds and gains more (Anjo Nala's freedom and the fact that Vertin didn't nearly kill someone again). Vertin was always a sharp shooter, but this time both her and Nala can walk away alive. It won't be like last time.

Then what is different?

A fraction of Zeno under Igor have changed over to the Manus, Sophia seemingly has a new goal of immortality she pursues (I think the sudden importance of Urd is due to her knowing Marta so maybe this is a hint? Or Igor all this time has been looking for her?). Arcana's death has become a martyrdom that is probably worse than her being alive in a sense as more people flock to her side. And we still do not know what FMN is doing, but so far all the heat is being put on Sophia so he virtually can do whatever he wants now (I think either him or Ms Grace might be involved next patch with Matilda).

More importantly we have been given more clues to who Urd is, and the single fact driving me up the wall since I heard it that people psychically do not die in the Storm. (For Vertin this is a win win situation in a sense, ignoring the fact that Urd was kidnapped the act alone proves she has a greater role than previously thought so now more reason to hunt her down and now save her)

This is BP. How bad are things going to get now? The game is completely different and now there are more stakes involved.

Overall I think BP did a good job in setting up the 2.0 storyline, even if I think characterisation in some places may have suffered a bit (looking at Lopera and Mercuria, until these patches come out in Global so far, especially Mercuria I am meh on them until further info). I guess I would call these growing pains? Early chapters did struggle with pacing (I mean Book 1 and 2 was juggling Sotheby, Druvis and Schnieder and sometimes pacing did feel off but overall they were very good ).

Death flags? So far no but Moldir is likely I think?

Uh going to Antarctica makes sense actually, references to the Transatlantic Arctic Expedition in the Prologue and the general theme of travel writing (we could predict the book this again possibly). But BP if we are going to the fucking Polar caps you cannot tell me no one is getting an outfit change (I mean maybe not right on the polar caps but still).

Garment predictions? Horrorpedia, Kakania (which I am not ready for), Windsong (again not ready), maybe Getian? Since 2.1 and 2.2 already gave skins to most of the characters in these patches (excluding limited ofc). Maybe Necrologist?

When he realizes that the House of Lamentations is hosting a Lucifer-Themed Party (excluding him, ofc) he was at a lost for words

Subtly pinches himself to check if he's still in the real world, which he is, it's just a wild world, at that

Would honestly feel both humiliated and proud at the same time, the ratio may just be different depending on what the party's mission is

Mammon

At first, Mammon's 50/50 on the idea, it's great 'cause hey, there's a party, but it's also not since it's about Lucifer

But when he sees that EVEN DIAVOLO AND BARBATOS agreed to it, Mammon quickly goes to the agree side

And since Mammon knows Lucifer the best, he's also able to embody Lucifer veryyy welll

Definitely copied Lucifer's "MAMONNNN" and ended up shitting himself :D

Add-on: since it's cannon that Mammon respects Lucifer, he'll definitely be scolding Belphie for *defaming* Lucifer

Leviathan

his modern AU “look book” so to speak is a mix of Kai’s live performance outfits when he was doing Rover, Seonghwa’s corset look from Ateez’s Crazy Form MV, and Josh Cullen’s red suit for professional settings (shirt optional ofc. if Antony IS wearing a shirt, it comes with fancy and ornate stickpins. or maybe the stickpins are a threat. get something with hostile intent, babygirl. like scorpions or snakes or whatever), and this specific outfit San wore for a Bouncy live performance. Usually paired with military jump boots. Hard knuckle tactical gloves, jeans that are reinforced at the kneecaps, military fatigue jacket all in rotation as well. Also somewhere in here: a look I would call night club bouncer™️, worn primarily during his Caesar era and also around the end of his relationship with Cleopatra. Jewelry is both a personal statement and a threat, so it’s a little situational although he has an affinity for rings as long as he’s not brawling, but always gold, never silver. Cleopatra buys them both matching Coach bags, and he borrows stuff out of her closet too.

cause at the same time as the scenes of crowley in heaven (with the headband) aziraphale blew up his halo

this makes sense considering it is the exact same headband but i have another completely fucking bonkers idea

what if, and hear me out, muriel doesn't have a halo? we don't have much information on how long they take to grow like idk grow back. (only that the last time aziraphale blew his up was during the great war) so maybe the headband is a placeholder.

i've seen another post that i can't find or remember who the op was but in it they mentioned that the metatron was planning to demote gabriel to 38th class and that was one below muriel and maybe muriel had been demoted

this scene could have been rather soon after whatever they did to get demoted

after a quick google, this would fit pretty accurately with what corporate dick heads would want someone to strive to after being demoted all the way down and having their memories wiped.

but why does this matter!

crowley is a demon and, to my knowledge, demons don't have halos???

maybe he was trying to blend in with the bees, sure you can look like a bee but you have to feel like a bee, give those sweet bee vibes in order to blend in well enough

what if crowley knew that the headband would make him passable enough without the other angles having to feel his halo present?

now we don't know if this is even something that angles can feel or whatever but they sure as hell can feel the presence of other heavenly/occult entities.

now going back, they could have made these scenes play at slightly different times but at the same time aziraphale was blowing up his halo we see crowley in heaven watching the video of gabriel leaving heaven. there are multiple ways to read this which can all be correct!

•gabriel leaving was him leaving being an angel behind and aziraphale blowing up his halo was him tearing a part of his angel-ness out

•aziraphale declaring war on hell as a "desperate measure" and crowley going to heaven in his own body (for what we can only assume is the first time since the fall ofc excluding s1ep6 when they switched bodies) was both of them doing everything they could to be with the other, regardless of consequence

•the scenes playing at the same time and saraquel noticing crowley in muriel's seldom visited office while the book shop was bombarded by demons mean muriel may have had a closer eye on them then was let on

•crowley wearing a headband exactly like muriel's when she was in what seems to be the lowest class could mean headbands in heaven (which metal ones like that were not invented until the late 1980's at the very least and weren't popular until the 1990's but there's not much info on that) gold comb headbands could symbolize the lack of a halo

muriel having worn that headband before then later seeing the same one in sequence to aziraphale blowing up his supports my last point so i won't give it its own but also something to add

all that to say, this show doesn't really do coincidence like reusing a wardrobe piece like that. the chances of this not leaning towards something are a bit minimal and just the fact alone that muriel is 37th class is enough to say that they definitely did something to be put there if the archangel himself was going to be demoted one below them.

i wanted to write poly rookvil x mc fics and general headcanons because i have anime boy rabies (life threatening) but i need mc to be fucked up irrevocably. like you. like me. like so many seyx sexy bastards out there. what do YOU think of alt!yuu x rookvil <3333333333333333333333

But I love the idea of alt!yuu and RookVil. Frankly I think the mc of all of my fics is going to be alternative because that’s just. How I am and my writing is nothing if not self indulgent! I’m of the belief that both Rook and Vil have at least somewhat alternative tastes in fashion. At the very least they both enjoy the subversive! I know in my experience at least, my outfits are very methodically planned out and so is the time I allot to getting ready for the day! There’s a lot of thought and love that goes into alternative fashion- which I think Rook and Vil would both respect regardless of your precise subculture. As for headcanons, I have several!

Firstly, Vil is going to help you dye your hair (if you dye it, ofc). It’s a non negotiable, and frankly he’s the best person to trust with the task. He’s methodical, experienced, and nothing short of a perfectionist. It’s going to look incredible (as if he’s capable of producing work that’s anything less than impeccable).

Now, we’ve talked about blood vials and such on this blog before. I do think Vil would find the premise interesting- I mean he’s a brilliant potions master, and the blood of an individual is one hell of an item to have a hold of. That’s a lot of power you’re willing to give him, which he’d undoubtedly find attractive. The idea of relinquishing some of his own power to another person (someone he loves deeply) also sounds enticing. However he’s WAY more thoughtful about the process than Rook, who would be almost dangerously gung ho about it. I can also see Vil preferring a ring over a necklace- idk it just seems like that would be his preference.

So much makeup. Like, an insane amount. The three of you get ready together in front of Vil’s massive vanity. It’s almost like a ritual- before any event, the three of you gather to get dressed and do your makeup side by side, ofc aiding one another if need be. It’s an important kind of bonding activity that all three of you are extremely particular about. It’s also exclusive to the three of you- nobody else is privy to these pre outing activities.

Overall there’s just a lot of very intense closeness between the three of you. Sometimes others describe being around you three as being excluded from a conversation they aren’t even fully aware of. The way you exchange silent glances and affirmative nods makes it abundantly clear that there’s some form of communication nobody on the outside of your relationship could ever understand. Of course you all have your individual lives and hobbies, but that doesn’t negate the fact that when the three of you are together you’d like to live under one another’s skin. You aren’t one organism per se, but instead three very distinct people who are deeply intertwined and seem to be on the same wavelength regardless of the situation. You know each other so well, and it’s a relationship built on an equally spread layer of trust and mutual understanding. The lines between friends and lovers definitely blurred organically here- there was no particular definition for your relationship until Vil very matter of factly referred to the three of you as a polycyule. It was never a Formal “what are we” discussion- the three of you love one another, and never really questioned motives beyond that.

How to use shaders on his model to fix shading issues (2)

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way, shape or form obligated to do this. However, I write this so that anybody who wants to use Maruki’s model has the knowledge to do so. I know that a lot of people with custom models of their OCs primarily use MMD and instead of keeping the wall of ‘experience’ up between MMD users and those familiar enough with Blender, I decided to write this of my own volition so everybody can enjoy him.

Please, please, please read part 1 before you jump in because I will not be providing screenshots for some of the steps I already covered in part 1.

We meet again...

Maruki's glasses were just the beginning. Now is the main meat.

Let's start with Maruki's coat! geo_chack_006, geo_coat_006, geo_coat_006_0 are all parts of his coat. I'll be doing geo_coat_006 for this example. Like the glasses in part 1, we want to add a new, blank spot. However, this time in the asset library we want to drag and drop the C_Default orb to the new slot.

And, again, like his glasses we're going to copy-paste the the contents of the shader slot to the first slot. And after copy-pasting we'll delete C_Default just like the lenses.

First thing you'll notice is that his coat is suddenly blue. Why? Because the material slot we copy-pasted doesn't have any of Maruki's textures. In their place are dummy placeholder images.

Go down to the toolbar where the asset library is at and click on this

This is where we edit that material we copy pasted.

Before we copy-pasted C_Default, his jacket looked something like this

Looks slightly different, yeah? A box was added called 'P5 Shader'. That box is what helps with the mimicking of the cell shade style in P5.

Now all these boxes must be confusing and you're probably unsure of what to do with them, right?

Let's zoom in on these boxes and I'll explain.

These 3 boxes are all you need to focus on. Right now they're all set to a default dummy texture.

Using 2d art as a comparison, the three boxes are basically this:

Diffusion: Your main color

Specular: Your highlights

Shadows: You shadows

Typically in the textures the model will have images that are named clearly enough so you can easily understand what image goes to what. They usually shorten them though.

If it has 'c' it's the diffusion texture

If it has 'sp' it's the specular texture

If it has 'shadow' it's the shadow texture

(EDIT: my acquaintance tipped me off to something. if you see something with 'sh_' in the title, that's still a shadow. HOWEVER, these are textures called Shadow Maps and are specific to the character model. Otherwise other models like rooms and stuff simply use the word 'shadow' in the file name.)

click on the little X by the file name (dum_b.dds) so it now looks like this

Now click open and navigate to where his model textures (a folder named 'tex' or 'tex png' depending on your preference) are. For his diffusion texture we're using this

For his specular, we use this

And finally, for the shadows, we use this

This applies to the rest of his clothes as well, as all the color, highlights, and shadows for his entire outfit are in the three texture images.

Now to cover skin. For his face (all of his head excluding hair ofc), you want to copy-past C_SkinFace. But uh-oh, you see this!

Ignore it. I've noticed that Persona 5 models have a diffusion texture, a specular texture, and a shadow texture. I often don't see textures beyond that unless they serve a specific purpose (ex Maruki has a special texture for his battle metaverse outfit that's supposed to make the metal on his outfit reflect)

When C_SkinFace is applied:

There will be times where something is made of multiple parts, like Maruki's head:

In the end, they're all part of his head, so it's fine to use the same three textures I used on his face. You'll often be reusing textures in cases like this. Note: you'll see geo_siwa and geo_tan but don't worry about them. Just use C_SkinFace. From what I can tell, those two are some of the shadows on his face

As for the skin on the body (C_SkinBody)...well, it's really simple. It works like C_Default and C_SkinFace in how you apply it. The only difference (That I've noticed) is that the specular texture option is missing. But that isn't surprising, considering that most of the body's skin is covered.
