Winx "Flower Princess" gowns redesign kinda.

I say kinda because I struggle with dresses. And it's more practice for me. Man, I can't believe I was a winx kid that draws and can't design dresses. Probably a by-product of my "I'm not like other girl phases." Anyway gonna ramble about the designs a little.

I did the flower princess ones first because they are my least favorite gowns of the series. I think it's mainly the flowers, so I tone them down, having them being more like accents. Also forgot to design earings for most of them smh.

Bloom I had a lot of trouble. These dresses were used while they were "politicing," so I originally wanted to make Bloom look like her dress was from Domino. But I didn't like how it turned out, probably because Marion was my only reference for a dress (unless there's some background fairy in a dress from Domino. I'm too lazy to check.) So I went back to the general princess vibe instead for all of them. But if I were to redesign them again, I'd love to mix their homeworld's fashion with the typical fairytale princess look.

I have nothing really to say for Flora or Stella. But I wanted to change Flora's hair because I thought it was too casual. Wish I did something other then a bun looking back.

Skipping to Tecna for a second. I did base her dress off those "furtistic" dresses, which is just minimalism, really. And had to change Tecna's purple because if you grey scale the purple and green in the original design, it's pretty much to the same. I do like the color I chose, especially for the contrast, but I feel like it's a little too dark and messes with the vibe a little. Also gave her pants under her dress. I was just about to go on a tangent, but I'll just add it to the end.

Finally, for Musa and Aisha. Idk I felt like their hair didn't fit the vibe. I love them, but they didn't really go with the regal look, and more look like prom hairstyles. For Musa's dress, I wanted the front to be open and have her wear shorts. It just felt like a hint of masculine in a pretty feminine design. Aisha's dress really made me realize I need to look at more dresses because I was struggling with ideas. The rnd result is fine, but man, I need to work on more on gowns.

Anyway, heres me rambling about masculine Tecna. It has no real clear thought or direction and only losely ties to the redesign but whatever.

Hi to nobody, probably. If you are here you should tell me 👉👈. Anyway, I see Tecna and Musa as the most masculine. Musa is the most outloud about it, while you might not even notice how masculine Tecna is. Up until season 6, really. Tecna, for the most part, wore shorts or pants. Dress was saved for the gowns. Her skirts were usually pretty short, and something about them had masculine vibes. I can't quite explain it, but there is pretty simple I can almost think a few are shorts. Personally, I headcanon that Tecna doesn't care for dresses at all. Maybe if she has to, but that's it (maybe I'm projecting, idk. Granted irl, I'm not comfortable with dresses or skirts at all. So partial projecting.)

Basically, I think Tecna should wear suits instead of gowns. And Musa should wear something in between for that non binary energy.) But imagine a gender confused Musa going to her roomie Tecna for advice because Tecna is way more comfortable with leaning a lot more masculine.

Winx Club Harmonix (1/6) - Bloom

No charmix redesign…

But a Sirenix redesign of my first Sirenix redesign!

I finished the Flora, Bloom Roxy and my Sona first so imma compare them with the old and new styles:

Note: i got inspired by bethnan.draws on Instagram. Obv i didn’t steal/copy her designs, i did however used similar/same inspiration she had, but obv changed a few things to keep it original.

Main changes: i kept the tail/skirt, but made them more transparent and a little longer. In general the colors are more simplified. I also went with a more bathsuit/bikini design too. I also removed the leggings cus they were a little too much. I also made the hair longer cus i like long hair :3 and i changed the wings too.

Generally, i have a power concept: i believe that certain fairies have more power depending on the transformation. (´neutral´ transformations like Enchantix or Mythix are excluded from this) They are more ˋconnected´ to their source so they are more powerful. The opposite works for fairies who have the opposite power, they feel less connected and are a little weaker bc of that. Imma tell you who has the most connection and how i symbolised it with shoes. Barefoot = more connected, sandals = less connected, shoes = least connected

Old VS New:

So for Roxy, i used a more simpler design. I did keep the beta fish look, but used a moon tail rather than a krontail. I made her hair longer and more colorful to fit her aesthetic more. I made her look more fishy and barefeeted cus i believe her animal powers are nature based, so she feels a lot more connected to the aquatic creatures that live there.

For my Sona, i went with a more simpler look too, making her look more similar to those dragon sea slugs (they so fcking pretty omg). Due to her dragon powers (read sona profile to find out more) she actually has scales on her body. Her element is the sky, so she doesnt feel as connected to the ocean so she wears sandals. Other than that, her look stayed pretty much the same, only her wings changed from silhouette

Old VS New:

Ok, i gave Bloom some leafy dragon seahorse elements, but in a totally different way ofc. Ofc, shes part dragon so she has scales too! Bc she has the power of the dragon flame, shes the least connected to the Sirenix transformation bc Fire is the opposite of water, indicated by her shoes.

You can have your opinions about this, i believe in this. No i dont hate Bloom or make her weak for fun. This rules counts to all the transformations and i will obv say whos weaker and stronger in what transformation. And just cus Bloom is weaker doesn’t mean she can’t kick ass. So haters don’t leave any nasty comments, this just feels more realistic to me.

Back to the topic: I made her hair more punky, kept her outfit pretty much the same since i adore the pink/plum colors on her.

My dear Flora looks as gorgeous as always. She too is more connected to the ocean due to her nature powers. The only changes i really did are the streaks in her hair and her wings.

What especially surprised me in season 5 was the absence of those same mermaids from season 3. Their designs were really interesting and memorable.

In season 3, it seems that Ligea is the one who rules the sea part of Andros; there is not even a mention of her husband. And perhaps mermaids were supposed to have a matriarchy, but season 5 made its own adjustments. Overall, I really want to know more about Andros.

It's also worth noting that there are very few mermaid models in season 5, but the animators still don't use season 3 characters. As if they have no rights to them

Back in season 3 you would have had fairydust against everything. Broken wings? Fairydust! Blind? Fairydust! Omega portal open? Fairydust! But oil in the ocean? WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

Layla’s challenge is the hardest. Facing her fiancé’s death is nothing against Stella’s “You’ll never be a fashion designer” challenge, come on. They could have made Stella’s challenge about her parents. That would have been deep and season 5 does a lot with Stella’s struggle because of her parent’s divorce. But no. We have to remember that Stella is the silly fashion diva.

It was so much more fun when the trix were overpowered back in the earlier seasons.

Soo i wanted to draw something for mermay so i drew Queen Ligea from Winx club lol. I'm prob not going to take part in this bc i wouldn't be able to draw decent drawings every day of the month bc i'm lazy and kinda burned out and not in the right place mentaly. Idk if i could do that but i would still like to draw something mermay related just not very day. Maybe i will fully take part in mermay the next year

Stella's Sirenix first Cconcepts

Here her moon powers would be the focus. 1. Because she doesn't use this power much. 2. Because water and the moon obviously have everything to do with each other.

I have some ideas for her transformation sequence which is basically like everything is on top of the ocean, with the crescent moon around her.

So she drew the waves to her as if she were the moon

And the sequence ends with her above the moon's reflection, sitting ready to enter the endless ocean.

Her powers and Aisha's will complement each other quite a LOT in Sirenix, so to pass the transformation on to Aisha's sequence she passes the Solaria ring to her, which becomes a trident in the hands of the princess of Andros.

Winx season 5 would have been WAY shorter if the first sirenix wish was just used to brainwash Tritannus and the Trix to stop being evil lol

First two are Bloom and Flora!

Normally Bloom is portraited with bright pink colors, but i personally prefer these colors on Flora.

I gave Bloom different shades of blue and a deeper color of pink, similar to her Dreamix/Onyrix colors. Obviously she's the little cinnamon roll with hearts so i had to bring these in her design as well. She doesn't have any "sea elements", however her color pallet is remind me of the deep sea with pink corals/anemones, which are represented in some of her accesoires

Flora on the other hand gives off more Plant vibes ofc. Dark green for sea grass or alge, or a jungle near the beach, with bright pink and green plants from tropical plants or a coral reef. I gave her more soft curves, resembling her softer personality and again, plants, while also giving her some spikes bc we Stan powerful Mom friend Flora that fights back if u hurt her friends.
