the tl;dr is- it depends??? most of the main cast is completely different (notably sally's name is the same- she's not too important in the og game so i don't think its an egregious thing to keep, and also it means she gets to share a cool naming pattern with some of the other renamed characters so I'm keeping it- think of it more of a reference than anything)

designs are alsoooooooo very dependent......... characters like mariware (their name's different now but dw the wordplay pun is still there) are completely unchanged in terms of design because a. they're mine b. they're like. i've had them too long to change them now they're iconic and c. their designs are simple enough anyway that they're not necessarily the same as from omori. Most of the putery characters are like this, but the human cast are all pretty different! I hope to post their designs/refs after i release this skjdjskdjskjfksf............
