hey are you ok w people tagging your death note art as ship?
i’m months late answering this one,, sorry!! guess it slipped through the cracks but i’ll get to it now
i’m going to start tagging my non-ship/explicitly platonic art as ‘not ship’, so if you’re looking to reblog my art of a pair of characters all you’ll have to do is check my tags from now on!
if you see a ‘not ship’ tag then maybe leave it, otherwise i’m neutral and it’s fair game! this goes for all fandoms, not just death note :D
and of course if i draw ship art i’ll tag it with the ship name, those are definitely fair game please tag those as ship

Jason couldn’t help but smile when you entered the shared bathroom. The atmosphere was tense as you angrily ran your hands through your hair and frantically paced around the small, compact room. Curses and insults left your mouth, and he stared at you in awe.
It wasn’t often that you had an attitude, Jason never realized how attractive it was before.
He was sitting on the counter near the sink, shirtless, in an almost relaxed manner. The scars on his skin were highlighted under the pale yellow light of the bathroom and you could tell he was trying to hide a smirk. The sheer audacity made you livid. This was the second time this week that he came home bloodied and bruised. Only God knew how many times this exact situation had occurred this month.
You weren’t sure what it was that he was doing or what sort of trouble he had gotten himself into, you were just glad he made it home to you every night. The thought of losing Jason kept you awake in the late hours of the evening, his scars often haunted your dreams, but the fear, however, didn’t stop you from getting angry.
Most days, you wanted to leave him in the bathroom, make him clean the bloodied mess himself, but you couldn’t help it. You couldn’t just leave him alone, you had to be there for him. Your mind and body didn’t always agree when Jason was involved, your body regularly acted on its own accord.
And like every other day, you found yourself grabbing the first aid kit from the medicine cabinet, preparing to cleanse his wounds. You eyed his naked chest before silently reaching over to dampen a cotton pad with alcohol. Your frustration still lingered, Jason could feel the heat radiating off of your body. He stared at you intently, his eyes raked up and down your annoyed figure. He cupped your free hand and gave it a quick squeeze before letting you get back to work.
When the cool liquid touched his torn lip, he let out a deep sigh and closed his eyes. He clutched your hand tighter and pretended to flinch when you went back for a second time. He was being dramatic. He wanted the sympathy and craved the attention, and noticing the lack of reaction made him a little upset.
His hands reached down to your waist, he pulled you in between his legs and gave your skin a soft squeeze. “I’m sorry sweetheart,” he said gently. “I didn’t mean to stress you out.”
You rolled your eyes and continued to clean his mouth. “You’re an idiot, Jay, what are we gonna do about that tooth now,” he grinned in response, showing off the broken tooth. The sight made you want to giggle. He looked stupid, but adorable.
Your body, once again, reacted without thinking and your hands moved to caress his bruised jaw. He needed to shave, his stubble scratched and tickled your skin. His larger hand cupped your own and he placed a quick kiss on the inside of your palm, genuinely flinching this time. It pulled at your heartstrings.
“I’m so sorry,” he said once more, sincerely. You stared into his tired eyes and smiled, silently praying that this was the last time you ever had to clean his wounded skin.
“I forgive you, Jay.”

You always believed in the goodness of people. Growing up in a small, close-knit town had shaped you that way.
You’d been the type to bake cookies for the elderly neighbor down the street, rescue stray animals, and donate whatever you could to people in need. When you met your husband, it felt like a gift from the universe.
He was everything you thought you’d never deserve: charismatic, attentive, and so gentle with you it made your heart ache. He would listen intently to your rambles about work, surprise you with your favorite pastries from the café downtown, and hold you close on cold nights when the world seemed too overwhelming.
You hadn’t known much about his work—“sales” was all he ever said—but it didn’t matter. He always came home to you, and that was enough. You admired how he seemed to understand people so easily, reading emotions and desires with an almost uncanny precision. He was your safe harbor, and you were his soft place to land.
But what made your marriage unique wasn’t just the way he made you feel; it was the way you balanced him. Where he was logical and composed, you were emotional and empathetic. If he brushed off a stranger’s plight with practicality, you’d step in with a warm smile and offer help. He often teased you about your boundless kindness, calling you “his little bleeding heart,” but his tone was always fond.
“You’re too good for this world,” he’d whisper sometimes, brushing your hair behind your ear. You’d laugh, kissing his cheek.
“And you’re my world,” you’d reply, never missing the way his gaze softened.
You were blissfully unaware that the man you loved and trusted so completely was hiding a shadowy part of himself, one that was entirely at odds with the person you knew.
It was a chilly winter evening when your life began to unravel. You’d just finished preparing dinner, humming to yourself as you set the table for two, the flicker of candlelight adding warmth to the cozy living room.
Your husband had called earlier, saying he’d be late, but you didn’t mind waiting.
The knock at the door came suddenly, jolting you out of your thoughts. Expecting it to be a neighbor or a delivery, you opened it with your usual bright smile, only to find a man standing there, his face lined with rage and exhaustion.
“Can I help you?” you asked kindly, though his expression unnerved you.
“You already have,” he muttered darkly, stepping inside uninvited. “Where is he?”
“I’m sorry—who are you talking about?” you stammered, retreating a step.
“Your husband,” he spat, his voice trembling with barely contained fury. “Where is that bastard hiding?”
“I think you’ve made a mistake,” you said gently, though your hands were shaking. “My husband hasn’t hurt anyone. He’s just a salesman.”
“A salesman,” the man repeated with a bitter laugh. He fished a small card from his pocket and slammed it onto the table. You glanced at it, confused by the cryptic design.
“He gave me this,” the man continued. “And because of him, I had to watch people die. Because of him, my friends are dead! You’re married to a killer!”
The words pierced through you like shards of ice. “That’s impossible,” you whispered. “My husband would never—”
“Open your eyes, lady!” he shouted, making you flinch. “Do you even know who you’re married to?”
Before you could respond, the door creaked open again. Your husband stepped inside, his eyes immediately locking onto the stranger.
“Gi-hun,” he said calmly, closing the door behind him. “It’s been a while.”
Your heart sank as you turned to your husband, his usual warmth replaced with a cold, calculating smile you’d never seen before.
“What’s going on?” you asked, your voice trembling.
“Go to the bedroom,” he said softly, but there was an edge to his tone that made your blood run cold.
“No,” you said, shaking your head. “Not until you tell me what this is about. Why is he saying these things?”
The room was tense, the air thick with unspoken truths. Gi-hun’s fury burned hotter as he stepped closer.
“She doesn’t even know, does she?” he sneered. “You’ve been lying to her this whole time.”
Your husband’s jaw tightened. “This isn’t her concern.”
“She’s your wife! She deserves to know the kind of monster she’s married to!”
“Enough,” your husband snapped, his voice firm but not raised. He turned to you, his expression softening just slightly. “Go upstairs, sweetheart. Please.”
You stood frozen, torn between obeying the man you loved and demanding answers. The tears in your eyes blurred your vision as the image of your perfect life began to crumble around you.

hopeless romantic! suna, who can’t stop zoning out, while you’re telling him all about the fight the twins got in during second period. he stares at you blankly, thinking about the way your nose crinkles from laughter as you’re talking to him. cute.
hopeless romantic! suna, who asks, “sorry, what were you saying?” in response to you waving your hand in his face and snapping him out of his daze. with a slight blush on his face, he turns his head, mortified that you caught him failing to pay attention.
“seriously…keep up!” you reprimand him with a half-serious frown and a pout, and he forces himself to pay full attention not wanting to subject himself to such embarrassment again.
hopeless romantic! suna, who stays up late that night facetiming osamu, as he rambles on about some argument he and atsumu got into earlier in the day.
“sunarin, pay attention! quit thinking about [name], i’m talking to you,”
“i wasn’t thinking about her,” he defends, knowing full well that he was wondering if you were still awake before osamu interrupted.
“right, and i’m not the better twin. you know, you should just confess to her before it’s too late. someone else might make a move before you do, then you’ll never get to be with her.”
osamu’s statement made suna think hard.
“…yeah well she doesn’t like me like that. we’re just friends ‘samu.”
“you two are insufferable. let me know when you grow a pair and finally ask her out,” osamu groans out, growing tired of suna’s crippling fear of rejection.
“whatever… im tired now, bye,” suna cut off osamu’s rant with a yawn, before he ended the call.
would she really go out with someone else?
today was the day. suna decided that today would be the day he put his fear to the side and told [name] how he felt. he felt his hands tremble every time she was near and his heart pound, as adrenaline surged through his body.
during your lunch break, you sat on the roof together, just the two of you alone. suna saw this moment as his opportunity, the perfect chance to try and confess his feelings to you. you were currently rambling to him again, telling a story he honestly tried to listen to, but it proved difficult considering his heart was beating out of his chest, as he thought of how you’d respond to what he was about to tell you.
“and then aran and kita told me-“
“[name], i-“ he interrupts you mid-sentence, but his voice got caught in his throat. he cursed himself for being so nervous, all he had to do was say the three words but nothing came out.
“yeah, what’s up?” you ask him, as you drink from your strawberry milk carton contentedly.
“i…umm… i have something to tell you,”
okay yes, good start. just tell her.
“okay…should i be worried?” you ask, starting to get concerned about how serious suna suddenly became.
you thought he’d been acting strange the past week, like how he’s been zoning out recently when speaking to you, or just staring strangely. you’re getting the vibe that somethings wrong with him. maybe he’s sick? maybe he doesn’t want to be your friend anymore? you have no clue what to think, so you chose to hear him out.
“no…well, maybe.”
he felt his hands getting clammy and nervously rubbed them on his trousers. his eyes darted everywhere, looking at everything in the room except back at your own expecting pair. he realised he’d been silent for too long - he needed to say something now.
“i have to tell you how much you mean to me. you might not realise it, but i’m obsessed with you. i think of you before i sleep, and you’re the first thing i think of when i wake up. you consume me, and i don’t know what i would do without you,” he blurted out, speaking so quickly you wouldn’t have been able to keep up if you weren’t listening so intently.
you sat there, stunned in silence. of all things he could’ve said to you, you certainly didn’t expect this. he took your silence as a signal to continue his speech.
“i need you in ways that surely can’t be healthy,” he chuckled, releasing a nervous breath.
“i-“
“you don’t have to accept it. i don’t expect you to tell me you feel the same, but i’d wait forever for you. if you want to be just friends then we will. but you have to tell me what to do. i like you so much. you can say you hate me. you can say you don’t feel the same. just tell me the truth.”
he couldn’t muster up the courage to look you in the eyes, so he kept his gaze trained to the ground, staring hard at the laces of his shoes.
“suna..” you started, forcibly sucking in a breath of air since you felt like all of it had been knocked out of your lungs.
“that’s the most beautiful thing anyone’s ever said to me. thank you. i don’t now what i’d do without you either because i like you too,” you confessed as he rushed to hold you in his arms in a warm hug.
“thank God, i don’t know what i’d do if you rejected me,” he joked, covering up his anxiety with humour.
“i could never reject you,” you beamed at him in return. he felt his heart explode.
hopeless romantic! suna, who returned to last period that day with a smile from ear to ear, as he entered the classroom hand in hand with you by his side.

Overprotective and Ready to Fight - The Dateables
Requested By: @number-1-obey-me-brother-simp
Read the Prologue on the Brothers' version!
Tumblr media
Diavolo had been a bit far from the scene when he first heard about a fight breaking out at RAD. Demons weren’t always the most level-headed so when he heard the gossip, he didn’t think much about it.
Then he heard one of the demons say your name and his heart skipped a beat. He was now racing towards the fight, hoping that he wasn’t too late and that you were okay.
When Diavolo finally reached you, he was surprised to see that you were the one winning the fight. Nonetheless, it had to be stopped so he moved to pull you off the student.
He was surprised at how much effort he had to put into getting you off them. Whatever that demon said - it made you seriously angry.
You stopped fighting immediately when you saw Diavolo and he had concern in his eyes as he was quickly looking over your body for any injuries.
“We don’t have to tell Lucifer about this, right?” you asked him. He wanted to laugh slightly at the question, but you both knew it was unavoidable.
For now, though, he wouldn’t involve the brothers until he made sure you were okay. He walked you to the infirmary and sat with you as the doctor looked over your injuries.
Diavolo was in shock when the doctor told him you only had a few scratches and bruises. The only part of you that looked injured were your knuckles which gave quite a beating to the other demon.
Diavolo stifled a laugh. How would it look if the Demon King laughed at a fight breaking out in school?
But you could see the joy in his eyes. He found it so amusing that you - a human - pummeled the other demon to the point where they were having trouble walking and yet you were fine.
“Well, that’s great news,” Diavolo told the doctor, giving you a small smile. “While I don’t condone fights breaking out in the middle of school, I have to ask - what made you so angry?” Diavolo questioned, the question burning in his mind.
He was dying to know what had turned his precious human exchange student from the normally calm and collected self you were into the raging creature who was able to win a fight against a demon using only your fists.
You let out a small sigh before telling him, “I was just trying to teach them a lesson…for talking bad about you.”
Diavolo’s eyes widened slightly before his joyous laughter filled the room. He wasn’t holding a single laugh back this time.
“You fought the demon for me?” Diavolo asked, clarifying that he had heard you right. A small blush coated your cheeks as you nodded your head in response.
“Sorry if I embarrassed you. I know I’m supposed to be on my best behavior as one of the human exchange students,” you added, avoiding his gaze.
Diavolo’s expression turned from one of amusement to one of love as he looked over your gentle features. He could see the pure intentions you held in your heart.
Diavolo gently grabbed one of your hands and placed a kiss on the top of it, making sure to be careful so that he didn't hurt your knuckles any further.
“I would never be embarrassed by you. Thank you for fighting for me. Please, allow me to take you to dinner to show my gratitude,” he told you.
You smiled at him as you agreed and Diavolo left the room shortly after so that the doctor could finish tending to you.
When he reached the hallway, he was met with the demon brothers who were all worried in their own right and had questions to ask.
Diavolo made sure to do his best to explain what had happened without exposing your reasons why. That was a private matter between the two of you.
He will make sure that Lucifer doesn’t give you any sort of punishment, though. After all, you were only fighting the demon for him. He wouldn’t dream of punishing you for that.
Tumblr media
Barbatos had been doing his normal daily tasks when he sensed that something was amiss. He immediately moved to find Lord Diavolo to ensure everything was fine.
He found him walking down the hall, a slightly worried expression on his face. Barbatos went to ask Diavolo what was wrong when he overheard what the demons were saying.
You had gotten in a fight? Barbatos was immediately concerned. Ultimately you were only a human and a demon’s strength overpowered yours.
He walked with Diavolo to the scene and hesitated for a brief moment when he saw the two of you on the ground. “Barbatos, please grab the other demon,” Diavolo asked him, moving to grab you.
Barbatos was slightly disappointed that he was the one who was asked to stop the attacking demon; but, he would never disobey an order from Diavolo.
So, he moved to grab the other demon, easily overpowering them. But, his eyes were on you, trying to scan your body for injuries from across the room. He felt a pressure lifting from his chest when he saw that you were mostly okay, despite your knuckles.
“Let’s go,” Barbatos told the other demon, leading them to an infirmary room. Barbatos had nothing but disdain for the demon next to him. The audacity of them to start a fight with you.
He had tortured others before and he had to admit he was tempted to inflict his own pain on the demon for any pain they caused you. But, looking at all the damage you did on your own, he believed it would be in bad taste to deliver any additional attacks.
Once the demon was in the infirmary, Barbatos immediately left. He found Lord Diavolo in the hall along with the demon brothers and he quietly stood next to Diavolo, doing his best to see inside the infirmary room that you were in.
Diavolo knew that this was going to be a long discussion so he asked Barbatos to stay with you until they were done to make sure you were okay.
Barbatos simply nodded his head in response, remaining expressionless. But, he was very thankful for the opportunity. He didn’t get many chances to be alone with you, and the opportunities he did get, he always appreciated.
You were unlike any other human Barbatos had met and his curiosity about you grew more and more each occasion he had to talk to you.
He entered the room and saw that you were in relatively good spirits. He quietly approached the bed, doing his own reconnaissance of your injuries. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust the doctor - he just wanted to be sure you were alright himself.
“It seems you can be quite the troublemaker,” Barbatos said, finally grabbing your attention. He wore a straight face but his eyes revealed the fact that he was only teasing you.
Barbatos sat down next to you and gave you an expecting look, letting you know that he was waiting for an explanation.
“I’ve just been studying really hard lately for the exams and that demon decided to say something incredibly rude,” you stated. “About you?” Barbatos questioned. You let out a small sigh, knowing you were about to put yourself on the line. “About you,” you replied.
To say Barbatos was shocked was an understatement. He hadn’t had nearly the same amount of time with you as the others had. And yet, you still jumped to defend him. He began to understand why everyone around him had started to fall for you.
Barbatos smiled at you, it was a small smile, but it was enough that you could see his genuine emotions. He was touched by your actions, and proud that you had done such a good job at it. The other demon looked like they had been used as a chew toy for Cerberus.
The conversation was cut short when the demon brothers entered the infirmary, but your words stuck in Barbato’s mind.
From then on, he would catch himself watching you more often, sometimes smiling when he sees you laughing or having a good time.
Needless to say, that fight changed his perspective of you and motivated him to further his connection with you.
Tumblr media
Solomon was an incredibly popular guy, and as such, he was one of the first people to find out about the fight. The only problem was that he was in the middle of cooking something in the lab and if he left too early it could cause severe consequences.
So, he quickly finished what he was doing, packing up the substance he created, before rushing towards the scene.
When he got there though, the crowd was dispersing and you were nowhere in sight. Solomon let out a small sigh of disappointment before carefully pushing past the crowd to reach the infirmary.
He got to the hallway and saw everyone standing around, talking about the fight. But no one seemed to come up with an answer as to what caused it.
Solomon didn’t stop to talk to anyone. You were at the forefront of his mind as he quickly entered the room they were all standing in front of.
A few of them noticed Solomon rushing past them, but no one said anything to stop him. Not that he would have listened to them anyway.
Solomon let out a deep breath of relief when he saw you. You were getting your hands wrapped by the doctor, and he noticed how dark-colored they were even after the doctor cleaned off the blood.
You must have used them quite a bit to incur bruises like that. Other than your hands though, Solomon could hardly see any other cuts or bruises.
You saw Solomon standing there with something in his hands moments later and you gave him a small smile.
“Hey,” you told him. Solomon couldn’t help but smirk when you looked at him so happily. You looked the opposite of someone who had just been in a fight.
“If you want to test your strength, there are easier ways than picking a fight with a demon,” Solomon said, walking closer.
“I wasn’t trying to test my strength. They decided to say some terrible things about you, and I was just defending you. Us humans got to stick together and all that,” you replied, a bit embarrassed after admitting your reason out loud.
Solomon was immediately taken aback. All of this - for him? Solomon’s smile grew as he held back whatever teasing remarks came to his mind.
You really were adorable. He was proud that you felt strongly enough about him to go to such lengths, but at the same time, he wanted to thank you for the gesture.
“In that case, I have a delicious meal I made that will make you all better. Let me serve you some,” Solomon replied, a boasting smile on his face.
Oh please no.
“Oh, thank you, that’s very kind of you. But, I’m not too hungry right now. Maybe later?” you responded, hoping to be polite while desperately trying to avoid whatever concoction was in his hands.
Solomon seemed unaffected by your words as he replied, “I’ll go pack up half of it for you right now so that you can have it later.”
Solomon left the room before you could protest and on his way back to the lab, he passed by the room where the other demon was.
His eyes widened when he saw how terrible they looked compared to you. He made a mental note to never cross you. You were a lot more powerful than you looked.
The demon brothers made sure to either throw away the food or feed it to Beel before Solomon noticed that you didn’t eat it.
Tumblr media
Simeon typically avoided fights in the Devildom. After all, he and Luke were sent down to represent the Celestial Realm in the exchange program. Even if a demon was being particularly insufferable, starting a fight wouldn’t only reflect negatively on Simeon but on the rest of the Celestial Realm as well. So, he normally stayed calm and collected, giving a warm smile to every passerby.
But, when he found out that you had been in a fight, he lost any care he had to represent the Celestial Realm correctly, immediately rushing to the scene. Anger replaced the kindness in his features as he prayed that you were okay.
He would viciously fight any being if you were in harm without a second thought. And he felt sorry for the demon who decided to start a fight with you. He would make sure that the demon received proper justice for the transgression.
Simeon reached the infirmary shortly after the brothers arrived. “Is she in there?” Simeon asked Lord Diavolo, without waiting for him to explain what happened.
Diavolo nodded his head and Simeon entered the room, holding his breath as he prepared for the worst-case scenario. Images of you looking bloody and beaten flashed through his mind.
What?
Simeon was frozen in place as he saw you, looking almost completely unscathed. Everyone made the fight out to be some big spectacle. As if it was a fight to the death. And yet you look as though you had merely taken a fall.
His eyes trailed down to your hands and he saw the blood and bruises that coated them. It was clear they inflicted quite a bit of damage and Simeon couldn’t help but wonder what the other demon looked like.
After processing the initial shock, Simeon quickly approached the bed, worry in his eyes. You couldn’t help but smile when you saw him. His presence illuminated any room he was in.
“Are you okay?” Simeon asked, taking another glance at your hands now that he was closer. You nodded your head before replying, “Just a few cuts and bruises.” Simeon relaxed slightly but his eyebrows were still knitted together.
“Your strength is incredible; but, fighting demons is dangerous,” Simeon told you. “I know, I just couldn’t stand the way they were talking about you,” you replied.
Simeon opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out when he heard your confession. “The way they were talking about me?” Simeon questioned, unable to trust what he had heard.
“You’re an angel, and you’re way better than that demon could ever hope to be,” you added and Simeon smiled as he looked at you with love, every inch of his body melting at your words.
He was ready to fight for you no matter the consequences only to come and find out that was exactly what you had done for him. Did that mean you shared the same feelings that he had?
Simeon stayed with you the rest of the night to ensure you were okay and so that he could express his gratitude over and over again. No matter what you wanted, he would get it for you. And if all you wanted was a hug or something along those lines, he was more than happy to oblige.
Fighting a demon for Simeon strengthened your relationship, and he was now even more willing to leave the image of a proper angel behind and do what he wanted when it came to you.

✩♡Just A Girl♡✩
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ushijima x Fem!Reader
Content: Your husband comes home to find you watching thirst edits of him on your phone. Your response is that you're "just a girl."
words: 362 (short and sweet)
A/N: Sorry if he's ooc lol
Tumblr media
What your husband most definitely didn’t expect to see when he walked through the door was you staring intently at something on your phone. He also wasn’t expecting to hear all of the vulgar things coming from said phone, or how quickly you shut your phone off when you realized he had arrived home. He just gave you a small smile and put his jacket up. He walked over to the couch and sat down next to you. “What were you looking at so intently on your phone Y/N?” He couldn’t help but be amused at how your face seemed to stutter.
“Oh nothing, dear husband of mine.” You pat his head and shake your head hoping he’ll let the topic drop.
“Those were quite vulgar words coming from your phone.”
“What? I don’t know what you’re talking about. There wasn’t anything playing on my phone.” You look away from his questioning eyes and start moving your phone away. He’s too quick and grabs it though, you were starting to regret sharing your password with him as he unlocks it.
“So you won’t mind if I take a look?” You sigh and nod knowing that it was too late to stop him at this point. His eyebrows raise and his own face reddens as he sees what was playing on your phone. “Y/N,” he says looking over at you trying to hide your face behind your hands. “I didn’t know you watched these things. Good to know that even though we’re married I’m still attractive to you.”
“Listen. I’m just a girl okay?” You whine gently at his subtle teasing. You weren’t expecting him to walk through the door while you were watching a thirsty edit of him. “Can’t I appreciate how good my husband looks?”
“You certainly can. Oh my, there’s a collection.” You reach for the phone trying to take it away from him. “Sorry, this is quite amusing to me.”
“Stop teasing me Toshi.” You huff and cross your arms as he looks through the videos you had favorited. He had his own collection, what can you say. You love your husband.
“I just find it cute.”

ushijima x reader. some angst, mostly fluff, suggestive content. timeskip spoilers.
plot: your long-time coworker turned friend, Kuroo, sets you up on a date with one of his finest clienteles.
To stay unattached is to keep a distance.
Ushijima Wakatoshi knows this well enough. He had gotten accustomed to it at an early age, when his parents divorced. It was pretty clear that his mom hardly wanted anything to do with him, and neither did her family.
His intention is to keep this maxim walking into the date. Though, it doesn’t deter him from being the gentleman he is, even when you show up 15 minutes late.
Your first impression of Wakatoshi is that he is a man of few words. You aren’t put off by it, however, you prefer a man that knows his points, speaks it, and waits for a response in deliberate silence. It’s endearing in its own way.
It’s endearing now, when you can’t help but find yourself staring at him. His dress shirt and pants—Armani— are tailored to fit him perfectly. You saw when he stood up to greet you, even pulling your chair out for you (swoon.) His jawline is sharp, eyes stoic, and his shoulders are so broad—
He’s turned to you with expecting eyes.
“Oh- sorry, what did you say?”
Wakatoshi clears his throat and straightens in his seat. “I said because I’ll be in Europe soon, I’m not looking for anything serious right now.”
Oh. Okay… you can work with that. You usually don’t do one-night-stands, but the longer you look at him, the more amorous you’re getting.
“I’m sorry if that disappoints you.”
You perk up, realizing you haven’t given a reply. “Not at all! I’m not really interested in that either.”
A lie. You fear you are quite the hopeless romantic at heart.
As you resume to your dish, he takes a moment to watch you.
Wakatoshi might not be too well versed in pop-culture, but he has picked up a few magazines in his free time and reads enough ads to know that you’re quite the public figure yourself. Quite the vivacious one at that— according to some headlines.
He isn’t too sure of what your job is, just knows that you’ve worked alongside Kuroo for a while and recently ventured into the fashion world. Your confidence in style illuminates under the dim lamps of the restaurant: classic, chic, timeless. He hadn’t missed the wandering eyes when you walked through the door.
When Kuroo had called him during his off-season trip back to Japan, Wakatoshi had initially declined, not wanting to start something he wasn’t sure if he could finish. But, Kuroo had insisted, saying that you thought “his eyes are pretty” and wanted to see for yourself if they were olive or brown. Safe to say, he was intrigued and figured he’d quell your thirst for knowledge.
When dinner concludes after some small, but interesting talks, Wakatoshi insists he pay for the bill, and before you can deny, his card is already given to the waitress without even looking at the check.
“Thank you for dinner, Wakatoshi. It was delicious.”
“Of course.” He says as he holds the door open for you. You both walk to the marble water fountain placed in front of the parking lot. “Have you decided what color my eyes are?”
You freeze.
(“They’re definitely brown.” Kuroo assured.
“We’ll see. You didnt tell him I said anything about his eyes though did you ?”
“Not at all!” Kuroo gave his salesman smile to your glare. His two thumbs up acting as a shield from your valid accusation.
He did.)
You make a mental note to leave a scathing voicemail later.
“Oh!” You laugh, bashful, a hand coming up to rub your neck. “That….”
It appears Wakatoshi is still waiting for an definitive answer. You suppose he’s the not the type of man to tease, but still comes off just as humorous through his bluntness. It’s lovely, you think, you prefer to be the one teasing anyway. You step closer, leaning in close enough for him to feel the surface of fabric on your evening wear against his own. The string lights around the restaurant have given you both a warm, golden hue. It’s brighter out here.
“…Right now, they look olive. In the restaurant, they looked a dark brown.” Your voice is quieter now, but you’re still looking at him with that inquisitive gaze of yours. And he can’t help but study back. He scans your face and absentmindedly thinks those magazines don’t do you justice. He watches as your lips curve upwards into a small smile. “I guess it depends on the lighting, but my verdict is olive.”
Neither of you have moved, still inches apart. It feels… intimate. “What color do you say they are?”
Wakatoshi never thought about it, never really cared, but right now, he just wants to agree with you. “Olive.”
He watches as your smile grows, feeling his heart beat at a quicker pace. “Ah, I love being right.” There’s a moment of silence until you take a step back and extend your hand, “Well. Goodnight, Wakatoshi.”
Wakatoshi gives a nod, breaking out of his short-lived trance. He takes your hand, thinks your skin is some sort of magnet the way he can’t bring himself to pull away.
And before he can think clearly and go through with his plan of saying goodbye and leaving it at that to go your separate ways, he leans in closer, gently tugging you in with his hand still in yours.
You don’t move a way, instead you purse your lips as you look to his and back up at his olive eyes.
His voice is just above a whisper.
“May I… kiss you?”
He’s not sure who kisses who first after he asks. He just knows that for the following weeks, Wakatoshi sees you more than he should be. He becomes accustomed to your presence in his apartment, your smell on his bed, and the way you call him ‘toshi against his lips.
The weekend before his flight(weekends of which you usually spend the night) you don’t come over. He doesn’t play dumb at the fact that he had been the one to say it wasn’t serious in the first place. You seemed to take that to heart. He remembers the sadness in your eyes the last time you were in his home, telling him you weren’t good at goodbyes. Did you think he was?
Wakatoshi spent that weekend mulling the last few weeks over, missing you. He mentally scolds himself for letting it go this far, but how was he supposed to know his heart would cave at your simplest touch?
This kind of issue can only be resolved by talking to one person: a best friend.
And Tendou Satori rarely misses a phone call from his.
“I suppose me leaving is for the best.” Wakatoshi had rationalized, the afternoon before his flight, filling Tendou in about the heartache that is you.
“Maybe.”
“The more distance the better.”
“Ah, but Wakatoshi-kun, doesn’t distance make the heart grow fonder?”
His flight landed in Poland around noon. Many hours on the plane, Wakatoshi decides he isn’t good at goodbyes either. He calls you when he reaches his hotel.
“Hello?”
“Hi.” His voice is caught on the air, surprised you’d picked up so quickly. “I just landed. I…I—
To be unattached is to keep a distance. But, even thousands of miles away from you, Wakatoshi is bound, tied true to the anchor that is your voice and the mirage of your face when he hears it.
“I miss you too.”
He wants to laugh because really, it’s only been three days since you’ve seen each other. Have you both grown lovesick?
“Can I see you when I get back?”
“Wakatoshi, that’s weeks— months away.” You laugh. He smiles upon hearing it. Yeah, lovesick. “Who knows what will happen by then?”
His smile is replaced by a confused frown. “What will happen?” Before you can answer, he has spoken again. “Nothing will change. For me, at least.”
You hum. A beat of silence. “‘Toshi?”
“Yes.”
“I’ll be thinking about you until then.”
Wakatoshi thinks he might just fly you out and attach you to him forever.
(On a random weekday, Kuroo receives a box of Parisian chocolates and a typed out ‘Thank You’ card on his desk. The card flips to show a man with red hair and red eyes.)

You felt your patience starting to wear incredibly thin when you realised Astarion had been staring at you for over five minutes now.
Not directly, he would never be so conspicuous—at least, not intentionally— but you kept catching those fleeting glances he was throwing your way; the corners of his red eyes crinkling every so often before returning to whatever book he was pretending to read. It wasn’t one of those charming, smouldering gazes he would sometimes give you after a night of feeding, asking if you were alright, knowing full-well that your answer was a resounding ‘I’m fine’, and that you would provide for him again soon.
No, what he was doing right now—very carefully—was scanning you, studying you,  judging you. It was as if he was trying to leer right through to your very soul.
You almost had half a mind to stomp over to his tent and demand what his problem was, but there were other unfortunate issues to contend with.
Namely Shadowheart and Lae'zel.
“I already told you that the artefact is my responsibility,” Shadowheart said, her aloof demeanour and confident tone betrayed by the hand hovering over the hilt of her dagger. “This way it will protect us all, I thought we had already established that!”
“We have established nothing,” Lae’zel hissed back. “We only agreed not to slit each other’s throats in the night, though...,” she grimaced. “I still have no reason to trust that you will not try again.”
“At least there’s still some sense in that bullish head of yours.”
“Tsk!” Lae’zel spat at Shadowheart’s feet, much to the latter’s disgust as she recoiled back. “However, the matter still stands that the relic you hold onto belongs to my people. Therefore, it should be in my possession!”
The cleric sneered. “I would sooner slit my own throat.”
“Then go right ahead. Nobody will stop you.”
Rubbing at your temples to try and ease the incoming migraine that, for once, was not caused by the mindflayer parasite living rent-free in your head, you decided to step in-between the two women, not really caring about risking a gutting from their trigger-happy blades.
“C’mon, we’re not seriously having this fight again?” You huff incredulously, the question already sounding stupid as soon as it left your mouth. Because of course they were having this fight again. They had it yesterday, and the day before that, and they were probably going to have it tomorrow as well.
“We are, as it happens,” Shadowheart replied, her eyes flickering briefly to you before narrowing forward again. “Because this savage bitch won’t leave me alone!”
Lae’zel bared her teeth in a cruel grin. “Better to be that than a revrykal of Shar.”
At the mention of her Goddess’s name, Shadowheart practically lunged herself towards Lae’zel with an enraged scream, her dagger raised high with the intention of plunging it straight into the githyanki’s chest, who in turn raised her shield to protect herself. In that moment, you were nothing to them but a speck of dust in the wind.
It wasn’t until your hand shot up in a blind panic when Shadowheart realised what she was doing, forcing her to suddenly pull back to avoid injuring you, only a moment too late as her knife slashed the palm of your hand. Blood sprayed across the ground as your short but pained cry echoed throughout the camp.
“Oh Gods...” Shadowheart muttered as everyone was suddenly on their feet and crowded around the three of you in a matter of moments. “I-I’m so sorry, I didn’t... mean to...!”
“What? Attempt to kill our leader in cold blood?” Lae’zel muttered as she took your trembling hand to examine it, you only stared ahead as the shock took a moment to wear off. You didn’t even register her uncharacteristically gentle touch as she turned your palm up. “Only a flesh wound, you will live.”
“Still,” Astarion piped up from behind. “Perhaps it would be best to get that dressed up lest you attract any...*ahem* unsavoury visitors.”
“It would seem we already have,” Lae’zel replied, to which the vampire put a hand up to his chest in mock offence.
“Lae’zel, you depreciate me,” he pouted. “I’m hurt.”
Astarion’s sudden cold grasp on your wrist startled you as he decided to examine the cut himself in a much less gentle manner than Lae’zel. “Not that I would be able to get much from this anyway, even if I tried.”
You were slightly worried that he was pondering the idea the longer he stared at the wound; you could practically see him drooling. It wasn’t until you cleared your throat that he snapped out of his daze.
“Well, we should probably get this cleaned up anyhow,” he finally said. “To avoid infection and whatnot.”
“...You’re not gonna lick it clean, are you?” Karlach asked with a grimace.
“Of course not!” Astarion bit back, much more flustered this time. “I’m not some savage beast, you know.”
“That’s... debatable,” Gale piped in.
“Well! It’s lovely to know that you all think so little of me; the feeling is very much mutual,” Astarion said with a fake smile before taking you by the shoulder. “Now, if you’ll all excuse me, I’ll have to nurse this poor wounded soul, as well as my pride.”
He started guiding you away from the rest of the group, you only allowed him to because the whole situation had you in a bit of a daze, but not before Shadowheart tried to get in another “I’m... I’m sorry.”
“It’s... I’m fine,” you replied with whatever level of composure you could muster up with a smile in a small attempt to reassure her before allowing yourself to be led towards Astarion’s tent. Your words seemed to satisfy her as Shadowheart returned a sorrowful but grateful nod, though her expression turned sour when Karlach stepped between her and Lae’zel.
“Alright now, ladies, what do you two say we let out our pent-up aggression towards each other in a healthier and less murder-y way, huh?” The tiefling suggested before holding up her finger to not let the other two get a word in edgewise. “And before you ask, I will not be taking no for an answer.”
A small smile graced your lips at Karlach’s enthusiastic yet surprisingly pragmatic way of taking charge, and it seemed to be working as Shadowheart and—to your utter astonishment—Lae’zel agreed to whatever training regimen she had in store for them.
‘Perhaps Karlach should take over as leader...’
The idea was extinguished as soon as it had entered your mind, replaced with thoughts of the tiefling messing everything up, of her killing you in your sleep, that you shouldn’t trust her to lead your party. The only one who should have any authority over these subordinates is you. Only you are worthy.
The voice quieted down after a few moments, leaving you only with a pounding head—just another one of the many wonderful side-effects of the parasite.
You didn’t take any heed of whatever thoughts the tadpole forced upon you. You knew that Karlach would never hurt you, or any of the others for that matter—not by choice, anyway. However, those flashes of betrayal and blood were starting to wear you down a bit, especially with the lack of sleep; the very notion of it had been non-existent since you escaped the nautiloid and accepted the leadership that everyone had practically forced upon you.
You weren’t exactly a natural-born leader; hell, you barely managed to keep yourself alive never mind a whole group of people.
“That’s going to need stitches,” Astarion said as he observed your hand more closely now that the two of you were in the privacy of his tent. Heat flushed around your cheeks at how close the two of you were. Flashes of that night you had shared a bed—or well, the forest floor—came to mind, and you hated how flustered it made you. It was a one-night stand, a bit of fun to ease the stress of adventuring; clearly it meant nothing. At least... that was what you were made to feel.
What had been a night of passion for you, had been the same old dance for him.
“Take a seat there,” Astarion’s said, his voice cutting through your thoughts like a knife. “I should have a needle around here, somewhere.”
“You know how to sew?” You asked, settling down on a cushioned stool.
“Don’t sound so surprised,” he said, and a sting of guilt surged in your chest. “How do you think I’ve kept these clothes looking so good for over two hundred years? Certainly not by magic.”
“Why not just buy new clothes?”
Your prodding seemed to hit a nerve as he paused for a moment.
“Why waste the coin?” He finally replied, sounding a little dejected.
“Sorry,” you said, biting your lip as you tried to think of a way to quickly rectify your carelessness. “You do look great, by the way—y-your clothes, I mean,” embarrassment takes over as you trip over your own words. “The gold embroidery is um *cough * it’s nice.”
Astarion seems amused at your inability to grasp basic English as he chuckles, the sound deep and almost musical. “Why thank you, darling. I’m glad someone around here appreciates the finer details.”
The vampire kneels next to you and threads the needle before gesturing for you to hold out your hand. “It has been a while so... let’s just hope I’m not too rusty, hm?”
Those words don’t instil a great deal of confidence within you, but you won’t allow it to show, trusting in him to get the job done. If you ended up getting sepsis, well... Withers was always on stand-by.
“Now, hold still,” Astarion instructed. “This may sting a little.”
You nodded, only wincing a little when he made the first stitch, the pain became more bearable as you watched him focus with the kind of laser-like precision that only came with a practiced hand; it made you wonder how many times he had done this. His methodical movements almost lulled you into a sort of relaxed trance, had your mind have not been working overtime, you honestly might have fallen asleep: Gods know you could have done with a bit of shut eye.
Ever since the ship crashed, your problems just seemed to keep piling on top of each other: Lae’zel was hellbent on getting to that githyanki creche, and there was the matter of Karlach’s engine, Gale was close to blowing to kingdom-come if he didn’t get another magical item to consume soon, Astarion would probably need another feeding at some point, not to mention the dog, Scratch, and the owlbear cub who had started hanging around the camp. A dog was one thing but how much did owlbears need to eat?
It was fine, you reassured yourself. Everything would be fine.
“There we go,” Astarion said, relinquishing your hand back, freshly stitched and cleaned. The pain was still there, dull and throbbing, but it wasn’t anything a quick healing spell couldn’t fix.
“Not my best work but it will just have to do for now,” he huffs, as if he was annoyed with himself. “You’ll have to excuse the sloppy stitching, it’s... been a while.”
“It’s beautiful work,” you can’t help but admire the stitching; it was flawless. “Thank you, Astarion.”
His gaze remains on you for a moment, as if he were expecting some sort of quip or punchline, and his eyes widen slightly when he realises you’re being genuine.
“I... uh... you...?” He pauses and squints; still nothing. “You are... most certainly welcome.”
You raise an eyebrow; did he really think so lowly of you that he believed you simply weren’t capable of a simple 'thank you'? Or was it himself that he had no confidence in? Your thoughts turn to when you asked him about how he came about becoming a vampire. Astarion kept most of his history closed off from you but told you just enough to let you know that this ‘Cazador’ fellow had treated him poorly. Belittled him. Enslaved him.
You couldn’t begin to imagine how horrible it must have been; no wonder he didn’t trust anyone.
A part of you wanted to pry into his thoughts, to let him know that you were here for him should he ever want to talk, but a new figure entered the tent, startling you into closing your mouth.
“Hello!” Gale cheerily greeted with a smile, his eyes latching onto you immediately. “How are we feeling?”
“Oh, we’re feeling quite dandy, thank you,” Astarion interjected with a frown. “You didn’t think to knock before deciding just to barge in?”
“Well, given the materialistic structure of this very sound establishment, I think you’ll find it’s a little difficult to uh...” Gale trailed off, attempting to rap the tent flap to no avail. “...knock on.”
“Then why not just knock on the wooden beams with that...” The vampire waved lazily towards Gale’s staff. “Very large stick of yours.”
“Duly noted, but I think we’re getting a bit off track here,” the wizard said before turning to you. “I need a word.”
You were taken aback slightly by his bluntness, and you couldn’t help but notice the almost pained way he was wringing his hands and how his eyebrows subtly twitched. He looked incredibly... uncomfortable.
His hand hovered over his chest briefly, just above the mark that glowed whenever he consumed magic.
Shit. Was it that time already? But hadn’t you given him something only yesterday? Or had it been a few days now? With recent events, it was hard to keep track of the time anymore; day and night just meshed into one big messy blur.
Judging by your panicked look, Gale held up his hands in a placating manner. “Now, I know you’ve had a lot on your plate recently but this little uh... situation of mine is growing quite dire again so... if you could just relinquish whatever magical artefact you have, then all will be fine and dandy.”
“I... don’t have anything on me at the moment.”
Gale’s expression dropped. “Come now, you must have picked up something along the way, surely?”
You grimaced.
“In a dungeon? Along the road? What about that little goblin camp you rampaged through recently?”
His sudden passive-aggressiveness made you feel uneasy.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Astarion cut in, folding his arms. “But we were a bit preoccupied with fighting for our lives to be on the lookout for any magic boots for you to chew on.”
Gale chuckled dryly and drew the vampire a dirty look. “I don’t think you quite understand the gravity of what might very well happen if I don’t find something to contain the beast within me very soon- “
“Don’t threaten me with a good time, darling.”
“This isn’t a joking matter!”
“Ugh! Just shut up!” You snapped. “I do get it, Gale. Because you remind me Every. Damn. Day. About this big, scary, mystery catastrophe that might happen without actually explaining anything about it! A bit of context would go a long way!”
Gale’s hurt wince suddenly had your stomach churning in guilt; you shouldn’t be snapping at people; you were better than that.
“I’m sorry,” you quickly apologised. “As soon as we’re out on the road again, I’ll make it our priority to look for an artefact for you, alright? You have my word.”
Astarion scowled and Gale forced a smile; his lips too strained for it to be genuine. It seemed like you couldn’t please anyone today.
“That’s all I can ask for, and I promise... all will be revealed soon, otherwise the tadpoles will be the least of our worries.”
When Gale left, you plopped down to the ground and took ragged breaths to calm your nerves, you couldn’t help but feel a pang of hurt as you nestled your injured hand in your lap. Had Gale only checked in on you so he could ask you for a magic item in return? Was he really that desperate? He must have been, seeing as you had completely forgotten about his predicament.
What kind of leader were you?
“You know, you can’t go making promises all willy-nilly like that,” Astarion said. “We have enough problems as it is without having to worry about...”
His chastising faded into white noise as you grasped your head, the sting of your fingers curling and tugging through unkempt hair was just enough to distract from the pounding that came from within your brain. The ability to focus was suddenly lost to you as your heart raced, and dark emotions swirled within your chest like a wild tornado; it was tempting to let them sweep you away, to ride the waves into the unknown. To be anywhere but here without anyone depending on you for so, so much.
“Hello?” Astarion drawled. “Are you even listening to- Darling...?”
He moved closer to you; his steps measured and deliberate as he lowered himself down next to you, still allowing you enough space while being close enough to reach out a hand to your trembling shoulder, his touch cold yet oddly comforting.
“Hey,” he spoke in a soothing, soft tone, his crimson eyes locking onto yours with unwavering support. “I’m right here with you, you’re safe, just breathe along with me, alright?”
You nodded, albeit shakily, and tried to mirror his calm, measured breaths, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly, attempting to regain control over your racing heart.
Astarion’s voice never wavered as your frantic gasps slowly started to synchronise with his calm breathing. “I know things are tough right now, but these feelings will soon pass. You’re stronger than you think, darling.”
He continued to gently rub your back, tracing comforting circles with his fingertips, a rhythm that matched the cadence of your breath. Your hands slowly unlatched from your hair as you felt Astarion’s reassuring presence and honeyed words grounding you.
“There we go, you’re regaining control,” he encouraged softly. “Now, I’m going to get you a glass of water, will you be alright for a moment?”
You nodded again, and with a quick squeeze of your shoulder, he left. As your panic attack started to ebb, your breathing evened and your heart slowed as you felt yourself returning to the present moment, the tension that had your body rigid starting to ease.
Astarion was back by your side within moments, gently pushing a glass into your hand and helping you lift it to your lips for a small sip of water, the cool liquid soothing your parched throat.
“How do you feel?”
“I’m-”
“And don’t you dare say ‘I’m fine’,” he scowled. "Because we both know you’re clearly not.”
You racked your brain to try and find a way to explain that you were okay and that this was just a small moment of weakness, a blip in the road, that there was nothing to worry about and you had it all figured out.
But the words never came, instead you draw your knees up and hug them close to your chest as if to hide away from his piercing gaze.
Astarion lingers by your side for a moment, his expression unreadable.
“Would you like to stay in here for a while?”
Unable to find the energy to speak, you simply nod.
“Then come on, scooch over.”
As you shuffle slightly to the side, Astarion sits down next to you, draping an arm over your shoulder and allowing you to settle your head into his side and cling to his shirt in a way that a child might cling to their mother.
“...I’m sorry."
From the corner of your eye, you could see Astarion’s expression soften as he waved a nonchalant hand. “Oh, you have nothing to be sorry for, dear. If anything, I should be the one apologising, who knew being in my mere presence would be so breathtaking?”
You managed a small chuckle at that.
“But in all seriousness,” he continued. “I know a thing or two about putting on a façade and... well...,” he paused. “Just... know that if you ever want to talk, I’m all pointy ears.”
You hum in acknowledgement, though you can tell by his undertone that he’s being disingenuous, kindness wasn’t exactly his forte after all, but you appreciated the attempt all the same. But you were just content to sit in his arms for a while, and he seemed pleased enough with the silence. So, for now, you inhale the comforting aroma of bergamot, rosemary and brandy, letting yourself get lost in his comforting presence.
And exhale.

Pannacotta Fugo
Fugo had been working late nights, diving headfirst into planning and strategy. It wasn’t intentional, but his sharp focus on his tasks left you feeling invisible. At first, you thought you could handle it, but after weeks of stolen moments and fleeting kisses, the weight of his absence became too much.
This morning, as he swung his legs over the bed to get ready, you reached out and grabbed his wrist. “Fugo, stay.”
He turned, startled by the tremor in your voice. “What’s wrong?” he asked, his brows knitting together in concern.
You swallowed hard, trying to keep your emotions in check. “I just miss you,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “You’re always gone. Even when you’re here, you’re… not really here.”
Fugo froze, guilt washing over him in an instant. He’d been so absorbed in his responsibilities that he hadn’t realized how much he was neglecting you. He sat back down, pulling your hands into his. “I’m sorry,” he said softly, his voice unusually tender. “I didn’t mean to make you feel like this.”
You looked up at him, tears brimming in your eyes. “I just… I need you right now.”
Without hesitation, Fugo climbed back into bed, wrapping his arms tightly around you. “I’ll stay,” he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. “I’ve been a fool, but I’ll make it up to you. Today, I’m yours. Completely.”
You let out a soft, relieved sigh, burying your face in his chest. His heartbeat, steady and strong, was a comfort you’d been missing. For the rest of the day, Fugo didn’t touch a single work-related item, devoting every moment to showing you how deeply he cared.
Bruno Bucciarati
Bruno had always been devoted to his work, but lately, it felt like he was consumed by it. Late nights, endless meetings, and responsibilities left him coming home too exhausted to even share a proper conversation with you. He’d kiss your forehead, mumble an apology, and fall asleep almost instantly.
At first, you told yourself it was temporary, that things would calm down eventually. But as the days stretched into weeks, the loneliness began to weigh on you. This morning, when Bruno stirred to get out of bed, you instinctively reached for him, wrapping your arms around his waist.
“Stay,” you murmured, your voice soft but firm.
Bruno paused, his movements freezing. “Amore, I have—”
“No,” you interrupted, your face pressed against his back. “You don’t. Not today.”
The quiet in your voice struck a chord in him. He turned to look at you, his dark eyes filled with guilt as he took in the sight of your teary gaze and trembling lip. “You’ve been so busy,” you whispered, your hands clutching his shirt. “I know it’s important, but… I miss you, Bruno. I miss us.”
He exhaled deeply, guilt evident in every line of his face. Without a word, he slid back into bed, pulling you into his arms. “I’m so sorry, tesoro,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. “I didn’t realize how much I was neglecting you. You’re the most important thing in my life, and I’ve been taking you for granted.”
You nuzzled into his chest, your fingers clutching his shirt like he might disappear again. “Don’t leave today,” you pleaded softly. “Just… stay with me.”
Bruno kissed the crown of your head, his lips lingering there as if to seal a promise. “I’m not going anywhere,” he whispered, cradling you close. “Today, I’m yours, completely. I’ll make this right—I swear.”
For the rest of the day, he didn’t even glance at his phone. He was fully present, holding you, listening to you, and reminding you with every kiss and tender word just how much you meant to him.
Giorno Giovanna
Giorno had always carried the weight of responsibility on his shoulders, but lately, it felt like he was drowning in it. Long hours at meetings, late nights poring over plans—it had all left him coming home too exhausted to notice the growing sadness in your eyes. You’d tried to be patient, understanding the importance of his work, but the ache of missing him only grew stronger.
This morning, as he sat on the edge of the bed, buttoning his shirt, you couldn’t hold it in anymore. Reaching out, you wrapped your arms around his waist from behind, resting your head on his back. “Giorno… don’t go today,” you said softly, your voice trembling.
He stilled, his hands falling to his lap. “Amore?” he asked, his tone gentle but confused. “What’s wrong?”
You hesitated, your grip tightening. “I miss you,” you admitted, your voice cracking as tears began to well up. “You’re always working, and I understand, but… I feel like I haven’t had you to myself in weeks.”
Giorno turned to face you, his golden hair catching the soft morning light. His emerald eyes widened as they met yours, glistening with unshed tears. He reached out, cupping your face in his hands. “Oh, my love,” he whispered, his voice full of regret. “I didn’t realize how much I’ve been neglecting you.”
You leaned into his touch, your tears slipping free. “I just… I need you. Even if it’s just for today.”
Giorno’s heart clenched, guilt washing over him. He kissed your forehead tenderly before pulling you into his lap. “You shouldn’t have to ask for my attention,” he said, his voice soft but firm. “I’ve been a fool, but I’ll make it right. I promise.”
He lay back down, holding you close as if letting you go would break him. “I’m yours today,” he murmured, his fingers gently brushing through your hair. “No meetings, no calls. Just us.”
For the rest of the day, Giorno stayed true to his word. He didn’t glance at a single document or answer a single call. Instead, he spent every moment with you—holding you, laughing with you, and reminding you just how deeply he loved you.
Leone Abbacchio
Leone had never been one to sugarcoat things. When work needed to be done, he threw himself into it with everything he had. But lately, it felt like his everything was all going to work, leaving you with scraps of his time and energy. At first, you’d tried to be understanding—it was just his way. But as the days turned into weeks of him coming home too tired to do anything but collapse into bed, the loneliness became harder to ignore.
This morning, as he swung his legs over the side of the bed to get ready, you grabbed his hand. “Don’t go,” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
Leone stopped, his brow furrowing as he glanced back at you. “What’s wrong?” he asked, his voice gruff but laced with concern.
You didn’t let go, your grip tightening. “I miss you,” you admitted, looking down at the sheets. “You’ve been so busy, and I feel like… like I don’t have you anymore.”
He sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping. “I’ve been a crap partner, haven’t I?” he muttered, more to himself than to you. He turned fully, taking in the tears brimming in your eyes. It hit him harder than he expected.
“I didn’t mean to make you feel this way,” he said, his voice softer now. “I just… I thought you understood.”
“I do,” you said quickly, your voice trembling. “But understanding doesn’t make it hurt less. I need you, Leone.”
Something in his chest cracked at the way you said his name. Without another word, he climbed back into bed, pulling you against him. “I’m sorry,” he murmured, his lips pressing gently to your forehead. “I’ve been too wrapped up in work, but I’ll make it right. I’ll stay.”
You blinked up at him, surprised. “You mean it?”
Leone smirked faintly, brushing a strand of hair from your face. “I’m not going anywhere today,” he promised. “You’ve been patient with me for too long. It’s my turn to give you what you need.”
For the rest of the day, he stayed true to his word. He held you close, kissed you like he hadn’t in weeks, and spent the day reminding you why he was worth missing in the first place.
Narancia Ghirga
Narancia was always full of energy, constantly running off on missions or getting caught up in one task or another. At first, you found his busy nature endearing, but as the days went by and he barely had time to sit down and talk to you, you started to feel the sting of his absence.
One morning, as he tried to slip out of bed to get ready for another mission, you reached out and grabbed his arm. “Narancia… don’t go,” you said softly, your voice cracking just enough to make him pause.
He turned to look at you, his eyes wide with surprise. “What’s wrong, babe?” he asked, kneeling back on the bed.
You sat up, clutching the sheets tightly. “I miss you,” you admitted, your gaze dropping to your lap. “You’re always running off somewhere, and I feel like I barely see you anymore.”
Narancia blinked, your words hitting him like a punch to the gut. “Oh no! no no,” he said quickly, scooting closer to you. “I didn’t realize you were feeling like this.”
You let out a shaky sigh. “I know your work is important, but… I just need you right now.”
Without hesitation, Narancia threw himself back into bed, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you down with him. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said, his voice firm. “Today, I’m all yours. Whatever you want to do, we’ll do it.”
You couldn’t help but smile at his determination. “Really?”
He grinned, pressing a kiss to your nose. “Really. I’ve been so stupid, haven’t I? I should’ve noticed you were feeling this way. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
For the rest of the day, Narancia didn’t leave your side. Whether it was lying in bed talking, cooking together in the kitchen, or dancing to music in the living room, he made sure you felt loved and cherished with every smile, laugh, and touch. By the end of the day, the ache of missing him was replaced by the warmth of knowing just how much he cared.
Guido Mista
Mista was always easygoing, but lately, his carefree nature had been replaced by exhaustion. Missions, meetings, and late nights had drained him so much that he barely had time for you. He’d stumble into bed, mutter a quick “Good night,” and be out like a light before you could even tell him how much you missed him.
This morning, as he got up to get ready, you decided enough was enough. You grabbed his hand and tugged him back onto the bed. “Guido, no,” you said firmly, wrapping your arms around his waist to keep him in place.
He blinked, caught off guard. “What’s this about, babe?” he asked with a half-laugh, though his voice softened when he saw the pout on your lips.
“You’re always leaving,” you said, your voice trembling slightly. “I know you’re busy, but I barely see you anymore. I miss you, Mista. A lot.”
His playful grin faltered, replaced by a look of guilt. “Ah, damn,” he muttered, running a hand through his hair. “I didn’t realize I was making you feel this way.”
You looked up at him, your eyes glossy. “I just… I need you here today. Please.”
Mista’s heart sank. Without another word, he kicked off his shoes and climbed back into bed, pulling you into his arms. “I’m sorry, babe,” he said, resting his chin on top of your head. “You’re right. I’ve been so caught up in everything else that I’ve been ignoring the most important person in my life.”
You buried your face in his chest, your fingers clutching at his shirt. “Just stay with me,” you whispered.
He tilted your chin up, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. “I’m not going anywhere,” he promised. “Today’s all about you. I don’t care if the boss himself calls me—I’m staying right here.”
For the rest of the day, Mista made sure to pamper you with all the love and attention you’d been missing. Whether it was cuddling under a blanket, sharing your favorite snacks, or laughing together over silly stories, he reminded you exactly why you’d fallen for him in the first place.
Trish Una
Trish had always been meticulous with her time—balancing her work, appearances, and responsibilities left little room for flexibility. Lately, though, it seemed like every spare second of hers was being devoured by her career. You understood how much she had on her plate, but the ache of her absence had begun to weigh heavily on you.
This morning, as she reached for her planner to prepare for another busy day, you grabbed her wrist gently. “Trish,” you murmured, your voice tinged with vulnerability. “Can you stay today?”
She turned to you, her perfectly lined eyes widening in surprise. “What do you mean?”
“I miss you,” you admitted, lowering your gaze. “You’ve been so busy, and I know it’s important, but I feel like I haven’t had you to myself in ages.”
Her expression softened immediately, her glossy lips parting as guilt flickered across her face. “I… didn’t realize it had been that bad,” she said, sitting back down on the edge of the bed. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
You bit your lip, shrugging slightly. “I didn’t want to make you feel bad. But… I just need you today. Just this once.”
Trish hesitated for only a moment before snapping her planner shut and tossing it onto the bedside table. “You’re right,” she said firmly. “I’ve been too wrapped up in everything else. That stops now.”
“Really?” you asked, looking up at her with wide eyes.
She cupped your face in her hands, her touch soft but certain. “Really,” she said, her voice filled with conviction. “Today is yours. Whatever you want—name it, and it’s yours. I’ll cancel everything.”
You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face as she leaned in to press a tender kiss to your forehead. The rest of the day was pure bliss: long cuddles, indulgent meals, and quiet moments where she reminded you, again and again, that no amount of work would ever mean more to her than you did.

Y.N. stirred as the soft rustling of clothes caught her attention. Her eyes fluttered open, catching sight of Aemond standing at the edge of the bed, already half-dressed, pulling on his shirt in the early morning light.
"What time is it?" she murmured, her voice thick with sleep.
Aemond glanced at her, buttoning his shirt. "6 a.m.," he replied, smoothing his collar. "I need to head home and shower before work." He walked over, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her forehead. "Go back to sleep."
Y.N. blinked a few times, shaking her head. "No, I need to get up too. I have a book restoration to finish for a client," she said, stretching her arms above her head.
Aemond paused for a moment, looking at her with concern. "Is that safe for the baby?"
Y.N. gave him a reassuring smile. "I wear a mask and gloves. It should be fine."
He nodded, clearly still thinking it over but trusting her judgment. "Thanks for letting me stay last night," he said quietly, brushing a lock of hair away from her face.
"It's okay," she smiled back, her eyes soft.
Aemond leaned in and kissed her lips, a lingering gesture that seemed reluctant to let go. "Make sure you have a healthy breakfast," he murmured as he pulled back.
Y.N. mockingly saluted him. "Yes, sir."
Something shifted in Aemond at her words, a flash of heat lighting up in his eye. He leaned closer, his forehead resting against hers, the air between them suddenly thick with tension.
"You’d do well to listen to me," he whispered, his voice low, laced with intent. "Or I’ll have to punish you."
Y.N. giggled softly, clearly enjoying the playful edge to his words. "I might like it, Daddy."
The growl that came from Aemond was deep and possessive. He claimed her mouth with a fierce kiss, laying her back down on the bed as his body pressed over hers, the heat between them flaring back to life.
"I'm going to be late" muttered Aemond torn between desire and responsibility as the covers slipped revealing Y.N’s naked body.
Y.N. bit her lip, an apologetic smile tugging at the corners. "Sorry."
Aemond smirked wickedly, his eye dark with lust. "Don't be." He kissed her again, his hands moving quickly to undo his trousers, freeing his hard cock.
"I thought you were going to be late?" teased Y.N
Aemond glanced down at her bare body, his hunger for her consuming any fleeting thought of punctuality.
"It’s worth it," he growled, as he took his cock in hand and sheathed himself inside her in a single thrust.
Tumblr media
Y.N. burst through the door of the bookstore, cheeks flushed and slightly out of breath.
“I’m so sorry I’m late!” she called out, her words spilling out in a rush.
For all the worrying about Aemond being late this morning, it ended up being her who was running behind.
Damn him and his big cock.
Luckily, Aemond had dropped her off, so she wasn’t that late, but still.
She didn’t like showing up behind schedule, especially with so much work to do. Wasting no time, Y.N. headed straight to the back room where her restoration materials were waiting.
She slipped on her gloves and mask with practiced ease, feeling a sense of calm settle over her as she focused on the task at hand.
The book in front of her was old, its cover worn, pages delicate from years of handling. She’d been commissioned to restore it by a client who cherished it, and she felt the weight of that responsibility.
The process was time-consuming and required precision—every movement measured; every touch careful. But there was something so satisfying about it. Bringing an old, damaged book back to life, piece by piece, always filled her with pride.
A couple of hours passed in a quiet blur, Y.N. so absorbed in her work that she almost forgot the time. She was just about to take a break when her phone buzzed on the worktable beside her.
It was a message from Helaena: ‘Lunch at the café round the corner? xoxo’
Y.N. smiled and texted back a quick, ‘Yes, see you in ten xx’, before tidying up her workstation. She placed the restored pages back into their protective covers, wiped down her tools, and slipped off her gloves.
With a final glance at her progress, she grabbed her coat and headed out the door, eager to catch up with Helaena and unwind a little over lunch.
Tumblr media
Y.N. spotted Helaena waiting by the café entrance, her blonde hair blowing softly in the breeze.
Helaena's face lit up the moment she saw her, and Y.N. couldn't help but smile back. As she approached, Helaena reached out, gently taking Y.N.'s hand in hers, guiding her inside.
They found a cozy table by the window, the soft hum of chatter around them as they settled in.
After ordering drinks—a coffee for Helaena and a fruit smoothie for Y.N.—Helaena busied herself with the menu, eyes scanning the options. Y.N., on the other hand, had already decided on her favourite: a jacket potato with tuna, cheese, and, of course, a side of pickles with Helaena eventually settling on a Caesar salad.
As they waited for their food, the conversation shifted to work. Helaena talked about the flower shop she owned just down the street, mentioning how autumn was bringing in new customers.
It was comforting, chatting about the mundane, but Helaena soon changed the topic with a knowing smile.
“So,” Helaena began casually, “-How are things going with Aemond?”
Y.N. nearly choked on her smoothie, wiping her mouth with a napkin. “Uh, well-I’m not sure what’s going on, honestly,” she admitted, feeling the heat rush to her cheeks.
Helaena leaned forward; her gaze soft yet knowing. “Is it because you two keeping having sex? Or is it because you're pregnant?”
Y.N. froze, her eyes widening. “H-How do you know?”
Helaena smiled warmly. “Aemond called me this morning,” she explained. “Don’t worry, he didn’t say much. Just that there's something between you two and that you’re pregnant.”
Blushing deeper, Y.N. asked hesitantly, “Are you-mad at me? You know, for being with him while he was still with Alys?”
Helaena’s expression softened even more. “Of course not,” she said, shaking her head. “That’s Aemond’s issue, not yours. But if I’m being honest, I always knew something was bound to happen between you two at some point.”
“Really?” Y.N. asked, surprised. “Even back in school when he was-kind of a dick?”
Helaena chuckled lightly, nodding. “Yes, even then. Aemond was dealing with a lot—the loss of his eye, the surgeries, the pain. It was really hard for him. He struggled with his appearance and thought no one would ever love him for the way he looked. But then we became friends, and he really liked you, but he didn’t know how to handle those feelings, so he pushed you away. He’s always felt terrible about how he treated you.”
A tear slipped down Y.N.’s cheek as she listened, and Helaena reached across the table, squeezing her hand gently.
“Just be patient with him,” Helaena said softly.
Y.N. nodded quickly, wiping away her tears just as the food arrived. Helaena laughed as Y.N. immediately dove into the pickles.
“The baby makes me want them,” Y.N. said with a sheepish smile.
Helaena grinned, reaching into her bag. “I know it’s early, but I couldn’t help myself.” She handed Y.N. a small gift bag. Inside was an adorable bib with the words ‘I have a cool auntie’ written across it.
Y.N. laughed, her heart warming. “Thank you, Helaena. It’s so sweet.”
Helaena winked. “No, thank you for having sex with my brother. Now I get to have a niece or nephew to spoil.”
Y.N. rolled her eyes but couldn’t help smiling at her friend. The two shared a warm moment before tucking into their meals, the worries of the world set aside for now.
Tumblr media
Y.N. arrived home, juggling her bag and the stack of mail she’d collected on the way in. She sorted through the envelopes, her eyes catching on one particular letter—the familiar scrawl of Jace’s handwriting on the front.
With a sigh, she tucked it into a drawer, deciding she didn’t have the energy to deal with whatever was inside.
She moved on, opening another envelope, this one from the midwives. It was her appointment letter for the ten-week checkup. The date—October 22nd.
Smiling softly, she grabbed her phone and texted Aemond about the appointment, knowing he’d want to be there. A few minutes later, her phone buzzed with his reply:
‘Thanks for telling me. I’ll be there’.
Y.N smiled as she put her phone down, she then reached down and pulled her shoes off.
“That feels good” muttered Y.N as she headed down the hallway towards the bathroom.
She put the plug in the bath and added a little too much of her rose scented bubble bath, before shedding her clothes and throwing them in the wash basket.
The moment she sank into the warm water, surrounded by bubbles, she let out a contented sigh. The warmth soaked into her muscles, easing her tension. After washing her hair and body, she laid back, closing her eyes.
Her thoughts soon drifted to Aemond and their baby, and she placed a hand on her stomach, wondering about the future.
Would she even be a good mother? The thought stirred something deep within her—she had no real role model to draw from.
Her own mother had abandoned her when she was a toddler, and she never knew her father. Her grandfather, the one who raised her, had passed away just after she’d finished college.
She missed him very much, and the way he would always insist on a cup of tea and a biscuit at 11am whilst he listened to the wireless as he called it, the way he would go for his morning paper at the same time every day, and how he would read a new book every week from the local library as he insisted on keeping his mind active.
Even on the nights when he insisted on having a cheeky glass of whiskey and tonic water, she remembered how he taught her how to count money, and tell the time, the man had the patience of a saint.
He even taught her how to ride a bike and funnily enough how to roller blade, she laughed at the memory of him chasing after her as she went a bit too fast down a hill and fell cutting her knees open.
She then had a thought, that maybe, if the baby was a boy, she could name him after her grandfather.
Suddenly, a knock at the door interrupted her thoughts. Y.N. groaned, stepping out of the bath and wrapping a dressing gown around her. She hurried to the door, praying that it wasn’t Jace.
When she opened it, Aemond stood there, his expression tense. Before she could say anything, he launched himself at her, his arms wrapping around her tightly.
"Aemond?" Y.N. asked, confused, her words muffled against his chest. "What's wrong?"
He pulled back slightly, his eye wide with concern. "Don’t scare me like that again."
"Scare you? What do you mean?"
"I called you a bunch of times, but you didn’t answer,” Aemond explained, his voice tinged with frustration. “I thought something had happened."
Y.N. blinked. "I’m fine. I was just in the bath."
At her words, Aemond visibly relaxed, his grip on her loosening as he let out a breath. "Okay. I just—"
She cut him off with a soft smile, closing the door behind them to keep her nosey neighbours from gawking.
"I’m okay, Aemond. Promise."
As the tension eased, Aemond’s attention shifted around the flat. His eye landed on a stone figure placed on her dining table. He walked over, inspecting it with curiosity.
“What’s this for?” he asked, gesturing to the statue.
“Oh, surely you know that books aren’t the only things I restore,” Y.N. said, stepping up beside him. “That’s a piece for the museum. They asked me to restore it.”
The statue was of a woman, possibly a Greek goddess, though time and neglect had left it damaged. Despite that, the design was still beautiful.
Aemond looked impressed. “That’s amazing”.
“It’s for an exhibition in a few months, so I have to get it done by then.”
“I’m sure you will,” he said confidently, before adding with a smirk, “I didn’t notice it this morning.”
Y.N. laughed. “That’s because it arrived this afternoon.”
Aemond’s smile faded into a look of concern. “Please don’t tell me you carried it from work by yourself.”
She scowled at him playfully. “I’m not some weakling, Aemond.”
“I know, but you’re also pregnant,” he reminded her. “You have to be careful with heavy lifting.”
Y.N. couldn’t help but smile at his protectiveness. “Don’t worry. It was delivered by the museum.”
Satisfied, Aemond took a closer look at the statue, his interest piqued. “I’ve always been fascinated by history.”
“Yeah. I remember how nerdy you were about it back in school,” Y.N. teased.
Aemond chuckled. “You were just as much of a history nerd if I recall.”
She laughed, recalling a memory. “I still remember that time I answered a question before you in class. You were livid.”
Aemond smiled at the memory, his tone mock-serious. “You infuriated me.”
“Well, it made my day,” Y.N. shot back with a grin, “-Finally getting one over on the all-knowing Aemond Targaryen.”
They shared a laugh, the old academic rivalry from school long buried but still amusing. Aemond’s gaze softened as he asked, “Are you working on anything else?”
“Not right now,” she replied. “This piece will take a few weeks. Then I’ll take on something new-”
“I think it’s fascinating” said Aemond.
“W-Would you like to see pictures of the other works I’ve restored?” asked Y.N
“I’d love to” replied Aemond eagerly.
With a nod, Y.N. handed him a thick photo album. Aemond flipped through the pages, marvelling at the before-and-after shots of her work.
His genuine interest made Y.N.’s heart swell. Jace had never shown this kind of enthusiasm for what she did, he just mostly complained.
When Aemond finished, he handed the album back, a thoughtful look on his face. “You ever think about starting your own business?”
“I’ve thought about it,” Y.N. admitted. “But setting up a business can be very expensive, and I don’t want to leave Mr. Howlett in the lurch. He gave me my first job after college.”
Aemond nodded. “I understand, but surely Mr. Howlett would want to see you succeed instead of working in some-dingy store.”
Y.N. crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. “ Hark at Mr. Snooty Pants. If it doesn’t have fifty floors and its own receptionist, it’s not good enough, huh?”
“That’s not what I meant,” Aemond said, exasperated. “I just think—"
“Well, that’s what it sounded like,” she interrupted, her voice rising slightly.
Aemond took a deep breath, steadying himself. “All I meant was that Mr. Howlett probably wants you to do well, wherever that may be.”
Y.N. shrugged, her frustration ebbing. “Doesn’t matter. I can’t afford it. I have student debt, and now, with the baby—”
“I’m helping with the baby, remember?” Aemond reminded her, his voice gentle but firm.
“I know,-” Y.N. replied, her voice softening. “But I’m not a charity case.”
Aemond frowned. “I never said you were. Why are you twisting my words?”
Before he could brace for an argument, Y.N. suddenly burst into tears.
Aemond was startled at first, but then instinctively pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly as she sobbed against his chest.
“I’m sorry,” Y.N. sniffled, her voice muffled by his shirt. “I don’t know why I’m crying. I’ve just been so emotional lately.”
Aemond gently wiped her tears away and cupped her face. “It’s okay. I’ve got you.”
She gave a watery laugh. “I cried earlier because I ate all the pickles.”
Aemond smiled, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. “I think I might know of a way to make you feel better,” he whispered, leaning in closer, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered something naughty.
Y.N. blushed, her cheeks burning. "Aemond!" she exclaimed, swatting at him playfully, though she couldn’t help but smile.
“So-shall we?” asked Aemond as he offered her his hand.
Y.N playfully hesitated for a moment before she took his hand and followed him to her bedroom.
Tumblr media
As Y.N. stood in the lift, she found herself reflecting on the past two weeks. Almost every night had been spent with Aemond at her flat, their evenings filled with conversations about work, shared meals, and a surprising amount of amazing sex.
Sometimes she cooked, and other times Aemond amazed her with his culinary skills. Their nights always ended the same way—the two of them together in bed.
She wasn’t entirely sure what was happening between them, as they’d never discussed it but whatever it was, she liked it. She felt a sense of warmth and connection that she hadn’t anticipated.
The lift dinged, pulling her from her thoughts. She stepped out onto the 20th floor of Targaryen Inc. and approached the receptionist, offering a polite smile.
“I’m here to see Aemond.”
The receptionist returned her smile. “Mr. Targaryen is expecting you.”
Y.N. nodded in thanks and entered Aemond’s office. He was on the phone, clearly in the middle of a heated argument. His eye flicked up when he saw her, and he waved her over to the sofa. She took a seat quietly, trying not to intrude.
“I don’t care!” Aemond's voice was sharp, frustration laced in his tone. “I’m a grown man—you don’t command me!”
Y.N. flinched when he slammed his fist down on the desk, her heart skipping a beat.
“I’m done with this conversation,” Aemond finished, slamming the phone down. He sighed heavily, his expression softening when he turned to her. “Sorry you had to hear that. Just my grandsire trying to tell me what to do.”
Y.N. gave a small smile, though she still felt a bit shaken by his outburst. “Maybe, in some twisted way, he thinks he’s looking out for you.”
Aemond scoffed, shaking his head. “Trust me, in this instance, he’s not.”
She didn't press further, instead changing the subject. “Are you ready for the appointment?”
Aemond nodded eagerly, rising from his chair and pulling on his jacket.
As they left the office, his hand settled on the small of her back, a comforting gesture that made her heart flutter.
They stepped into the empty lift together, and Y.N. giggled quietly when she felt his fingers teasing her side, a mischievous smile tugging at Aemond’s lips.
He leaned in, his breath warm against her skin as he began pressing gentle kisses along her neck.
“-Aemond” gasped Y.N.
Aemond then spun her against the side of the lift and pressed his lips to hers in a slow, passionate kiss. His hands sliding around her body, pulling her close as the kiss deepened.
The lift pinged open on the ground floor, and at the sound of someone loudly clearing their throat, Aemond detached himself from Y.N to see Alys glaring at the two of them.
Aemond's entire demeanour shifted, his hand tightening protectively around Y.N.
“What are you doing here?” Aemond asked, his tone cold.
Alys’s eyes flickered between the two of them before she replied, “I’m here with Larys. He has a meeting with Rhaenyra.”
“Excuse us, but we have an appointment with the midwives” said Aemond his voice was clipped and slightly dismissive, but Alys sneered, her eyes landing on Y.N.
“Oh yes, the child,” she said, her tone laced with contempt.
Y.N. turned to Aemond. “I’ll wait for you outside,” she said, sensing the tension and wanting to avoid a confrontation.
But Alys wasn’t finished. “Oh, sweetheart, don’t leave on my account. You’ve already helped yourself to everything I had, so you may as well take my time as well.”
Aemond’s jaw tightened. “Apologize,” he demanded, his voice low and dangerous.
Y.N. placed a hand on his arm. “No, it’s fine. Alys has a right to be angry.”
Aemond frowned. “Maybe, but it was me who came onto you.”
Alys let out a bitter laugh, her eyes gleaming with malice. “Oh, and there was me thinking that Y.N. intentionally seduced you and got pregnant.”
Y.N.'s fists clenched at the accusation. “What?”
Alys's voice was dripping with sarcasm. “He’s a Targaryen and he’s wealthy. It’s easy to assume you’d want a child with him, a way to secure a permanent tie to the family name considering you have no family of your own-”
Aemond could see the fury shaking through Y.N. and as she took a step towards Alys, he quickly moved forward, grabbing the back of her coat, to stop her from throwing a punch at Alys.
After a tense pause, Y.N. exhaled sharply. “Not everyone wants Aemond for his money or his name, Alys. I’m not you.”
Alys’s eyes flared with anger. “How dare you—”
“I’m done,” Y.N. said firmly, shaking off Aemond’s hand. “I’m going to wait outside.”
Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Aemond standing there with Alys.
Aemond turned back to Alys, his expression hard. “If you want to hate someone, then hate me. I’m the one who pursued Y.N., not the other way around. There’s no need to speak to her like that.”
Alys pressed the button to call the lift, her eyes narrowing as she looked at him. “I always knew you had a thing for her,” she said, her voice softening to something almost wistful. “Just surprised it took you this long to act on it.”
Before Aemond could reply, the lift doors slid open, and Alys stepped inside.
The doors closed with a soft thud, leaving Aemond standing alone. He let out a slow breath, collecting himself before heading outside.
He found Y.N. standing by his car, her arms crossed as she stared out into the street. She didn’t look at him when he approached, but she didn’t move away either.
“Y.N-” Aemond started softly, unsure of what to say.
She glanced at him, her expression tired but not angry. “Let’s just get to the appointment.”
Tumblr media
Y.N. and Aemond sat in the waiting room of the midwives in complete silence. Ever since their encounter with Alys, Y.N. hadn't spoken a word, her fingers restlessly fiddling with the rings on her hand.
Aemond watched her, feeling awful. He knew that Alys’ insinuations had cut deep. Y.N. was no gold digger—he knew that better than anyone—but the way Alys had framed it was enough to wound her. He longed to say something, to make it better, but the words stuck in his throat.
"Y.N.?" A nurse called out, breaking the tension between them.
Y.N. stood up, and Aemond followed as they were led into a small room. The older midwife, a kind-looking woman with greying hair, smiled warmly.
“Hi, I’m Marie, and this is Kelly,” she introduced her assistant, a young woman who was there to observe and learn. “Kelly is training today, if that's okay with you?”
Y.N. nodded quietly, still not saying much. She sat down and introduced Aemond as the father, trying to keep her composure. Kelly’s eyes went wide with recognition as she stared at Aemond.
“Aemond Targaryen?” Kelly gasped, and Y.N. felt a flicker of irritation as the young assistant's eyes lingered on him.
Y.N. shot her a scowl, but Kelly seemed oblivious, too engrossed in staring at Aemond, who moved to sit as close to Y.N. as possible.
Marie began asking Y.N. questions about how she was feeling and how the pregnancy had been progressing so far. Y.N. answered quietly, just wanting to get through the appointment.
“All right, Y.N.,” Marie said after a few moments. “Let's do a scan, shall we? Could you lay down on the table?”
Y.N. lay back on the examination table, exposing her stomach as Aemond stood by her side, his expression softening with excitement.
As Marie asked for the gel, Y.N. noticed Kelly still gazing at Aemond, utterly distracted. Marie snapped her fingers sharply.
“Kelly, the gel, please,” Marie said, sounding annoyed.
Kelly blushed and fumbled as she handed the gel to Marie, who shot her a disapproving look. “You need to pay more attention,” Marie scolded under her breath.
The gel was warm as Marie spread it across Y.N.’s stomach, and soon the image of their baby appeared on the screen. Aemond’s eye lit up with wonder, and without thinking, he took Y.N.’s hand, squeezing it gently.
“The baby has a strong heartbeat, and everything looks good,” Marie said, taking measurements. “Growing nicely.”
Y.N. glanced up at Aemond, who was utterly mesmerized by the screen. The baby’s tiny legs wiggled, and his smile grew wider. Marie froze the image and printed two pictures.
As Y.N. wiped the gel off her stomach, Marie reminded her to eat well and take her vitamins, setting the next appointment for four weeks.
Just as they were wrapping up, Kelly approached Aemond shyly, holding the printed scan pictures with an obvious blush on her cheeks.
Y.N. felt a flash of rage bubbling inside her as she watched the woman practically fawn over him. With a sharp tut, Y.N. snatched the pictures from Kelly’s hands, her patience at its limit. She spun on her heel and walked out of the room without a word.
Behind her, she could hear Marie scolding Kelly. “You need to be more professional, young lady.”
Aemond quickly followed Y.N., not saying a word as they left the building and headed toward the car.
Once inside, Y.N. handed Aemond one of the scan pictures. She watched as he stared at it, his expression softening with awe.
“Are you okay?” Y.N. asked gently, her anger at Kelly fading.
Aemond swallowed, his voice quiet. “There’s really a baby in there.”
Y.N. rolled her eyes slightly, scoffing. “Surely you didn’t think I was lying.”
“No, not for a second,” Aemond replied, his eye still fixed on the picture. “It’s just-being there, seeing the baby moving around. It’s real. There’s going to be a tiny person who’s going to depend on me, and-I don’t want to mess it up.”
Y.N. reached over and took his hand, her thumb stroking his knuckles. “You won’t mess it up, Aemond.”
He shook his head, a worried look crossing his face. “How can you be so sure? My father wasn’t exactly present, I have no idea how to be a good father.”
Y.N. nodded, understanding his fear. “I know how you feel. I have no idea who my father is, and I never had a mother. I’m terrified too. But all we can do is be there for this baby and support each other. Sure, there’ll be ups and downs, but we’ll get through it together.”
Aemond looked at her, a grateful smile pulling at his lips. “Thank you,” he said softly, squeezing her hand. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Y.N. blushed slightly, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sincerity in his voice.
Before she could say anything else, Aemond’s expression changed to something more mischievous. “By the way, I’m taking you back to my penthouse.”
Y.N. raised an eyebrow, smirking. “And what makes you think I want to go there?”
Aemond grinned, leaning closer. “Because if you do then I’ll do that thing you like with my tongue” he whispered teasingly.
Y.N.’s cheeks flushed a deep red as she tried not to smile. Aemond chuckled as he started the car, the tension from earlier melting away as they drove back to his penthouse.
The night was spent with Aemond keeping to his word and doing that thing with his tongue that Y.N liked before he fucked her into the mattress, thrusting his cock inside her with a series of deep measured thrusts that made her toes curl.
Tumblr media
Y.N. smiled with satisfaction as she carefully placed the restored book into a protective sleeve, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment.
The book had been her focus for weeks, and now, it was ready for the customer to collect. Mr. Howlett, her boss, marvelled at her delicate work.
"Exceptional job as always, Y.N.," he praised, gently handling the book. "I’ll contact the customer to let them know it's ready for pickup."
As he placed the book behind the counter, he added, "By the way, you have a visitor."
Y.N. sighed as soon as she spotted Jace hovering by one of the display shelves.
She approached him, and Jace immediately pulled her into a hug. Y.N. stiffened, awkwardly stepping out of his embrace.
"What are you doing here, Jace?" she asked, her tone clipped but controlled.
Jace gave her a sheepish look. "I was wondering if we could go out for lunch and talk."
Against her better judgment, Y.N. agreed. Mostly because she was hungry and because she needed to tell Jace the truth about Aemond being the father of her baby.
She excused herself to Mr. Howlett before they headed to the café on the corner.
Once inside, Y.N. ordered a cheeseburger with fries and extra pickles, while Jace opted for an all-day breakfast. They sat in awkward silence until Jace finally broke it.
"Are you still set on us being over?" he asked quietly, his voice uncertain.
Y.N. sighed, nodding. "Yes, Jace. I’m pregnant with another man’s child. How could we possibly get back together?"
Jace leaned forward, his expression desperate. "I want to be with you. I’m willing to help raise the baby."
Y.N. was about to respond when their food arrived. She thanked the waitress before immediately reaching for her pickles, devouring them. Jace watched her with mild disgust, but Y.N. didn’t care.
"What?" she snapped, catching his look. "I’m hungry."
Jace just shrugged and started eating his own food.
Halfway through her burger, Y.N. wiped her mouth and took a deep breath. "Getting back together isn’t what I want, Jace. I meant it when I said it was over between us."
Jace swallowed the food in his mouth, his eyes hardening. "Is it because of Sara?"
Y.N. shook her head. "No, it’s because I don’t love you anymore, and I’m pregnant with another man’s child. Getting back together is out of the question."
Jace’s jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing. "Are you going to tell me who the father is?"
Y.N. hesitated, knowing how explosive this moment was going to be. "Promise me you won’t go ballistic."
Jace forced a smile, a weak lie in his voice. "I won’t. I promise."
Y.N. took a deep breath, steeling herself for the fallout. "The father is Aemond."
For a moment, Jace was quiet. Then, his face twisted in anger. "My uncle?" he hissed, standing up abruptly. "You slept with my uncle? How desperate are you to spread your legs for him?"
Y.N. flinched, but her anger quickly flared. "Are you calling me a whore?"
"Yes!" Jace spat, his voice rising as people in the café began to stare. "My uncle, Y.N.? After all the trouble me and Luke have had with him over the years, and you go and get pregnant with his baby?"
Y.N. glanced around nervously, her voice low but urgent. "Jace, keep your voice down. People are staring."
"I don’t care!" Jace shouted, ignoring her plea. "I was a fool to think we could get back together. There’s no way I’m raising Aemond’s kid."
"No one asked you to," Y.N. retorted, her voice trembling with emotion. "And as for getting back together, you’re the one who kept pushing for it."
Jace scoffed. "You have no standards, Y.N. How could you let that animal touch you?"
"Aemond isn’t an animal!" Y.N. shouted back, her face flushed with fury.
"Of course he is," Jace growled. "Don’t you remember when he threatened to kill Luke?"
"That was said in a rush of anger!" Y.N. snapped. "And Luke was the one who slashed out Aemond’s eye and wasn’t punished for it."
Jace sneered at her, his voice dripping with disdain. "You’re pathetic, defending him like this. He attacked me and Luke first, and now you’re pregnant with his child."
Y.N. shot back, "That’s because you spent years bullying him!"
Jace’s eyes narrowed. "You only know what he told you."
Y.N. shook her head. "Actually, it was Helaena who told me what happened."
Jace scoffed bitterly. "Well, I hope Mr. Moneybags is worth it."
Y.N. felt tears sting her eyes, her voice breaking as she replied, "How can you say that when you live off your mother’s money? At least Aemond works for his."
Jace’s face twisted in rage. "Aemond knocked you up but won’t marry you. What does that tell you?"
Y.N. shot back, "He actually offered to marry me, but I turned him down."
Before Jace could respond, the café owner appeared, looking stern.
"That’s enough. You’re upsetting the lady and causing a scene. It’s time for you to leave."
Jace glared at Y.N. before snapping, "With pleasure!" He stormed off, slamming the door behind him.
The owner turned to Y.N., his voice gentle. "Are you all right, miss?"
Y.N. nodded, but the moment he asked, the emotions overwhelmed her, and she burst into tears.
Tumblr media
Aemond sat behind his desk, feeling the strain of the day weighing heavily on him.
His head throbbed as his eye strained from staring at reports for hours. With a frustrated groan, he took off his eyepatch and rubbed the sides of his head, hoping to relieve some of the pressure.
Just as he was about to relax for a moment, his phone rang. Y.N.'s name flashed on the screen, and he answered immediately, his heart pounding.
"Hello? Y.N.?"
But instead of her familiar voice, a man answered, “Hello, is this Aemond Targaryen?”
Aemond's heart raced even faster. “Yes, where is Y.N.?” he demanded, standing up abruptly from his desk.
“She’s with me, but she’s very upset. She asked for you,” the man explained, his voice calm but concerned.
“Where are you?” Aemond barked, already reaching for his jacket and eyepatch.
The man gave him directions to a nearby café. Without another word, Aemond hung up, and told his assistant to cancel his meeting later that day. He sprinted to his car, the only thought in his mind being Y.N.
In record time, he arrived at the café and scanned the room until he saw her, huddled in the corner. The moment their eyes met, Y.N. rushed into his arms, her body trembling as she buried her face in his chest.
"Do you think I'm after your money?" she asked, her voice cracking with emotion.
Aemond cupped her face, tilting it up to meet his gaze. "Fuck no. What’s going on?"
Y.N. took a shaky breath. "Jace showed up at my work, and I agreed to go to lunch with him to tell him who the father of the baby is."
Aemond’s face hardened. "I guess he didn’t take it well."
She shook her head. "No. He basically called me a whore-and referred to you as moneybags"
Aemond scoffed, his lips curling into a sneer. "He lives off a generous allowance from Rhaenyra. How dare he say that to you?"
Y.N. sniffled. "I-I don’t care about your money."
“I know that,” Aemond said softly, stroking her cheek. “Jace is just a piece of shit.”
“He might come after you,” Y.N. worried aloud.
Aemond's eye narrowed, his voice cold. “Let him try. He’ll be missing a few teeth if he does. He’s jealous, Y.N., plain and simple. And I don’t for one second think you’re after my money. You have your own job, and you’re incredibly talented.”
Y.N. blushed at his praise, and Aemond smirked, pulling her closer. “Let’s get out of here. We’ll go back to my place, snuggle up, order takeout, and watch a movie of your choice.”
Her smile returned, even if just a little. “Deep Blue Sea.”
Aemond groaned playfully. “What is it with you and shark movies?”
Y.N. shrugged with a giggle, and Aemond chuckled softly.
Before they left, Aemond thanked the café owner for taking care of Y.N.
“It’s no trouble,” the owner replied kindly. “No one deserves to be spoken to like that.”
Aemond thanked him again and took Y.N.’s hand, leading her to his car.
Once back at his penthouse, Aemond immediately ran her a bath, telling her to relax and that she could wear one of his T-shirts and shorts when she was done.
“I’ll get the takeout menus ready for when you’re out.”
As Y.N. soaked in the bath, Aemond made a call to Rhaenyra. He wasn’t exactly fond of his half sister, but over time, they had managed to put aside their differences for the sake of the family business. Still, he couldn’t let Jace’s behaviour slide.
“Rhaenyra,” he greeted when she answered, "I need to talk to you about Jace."
She sighed on the other end of the line. "I already know. Jace called me earlier, ranting about it."
Aemond’s tone remained firm. “Regardless of what has happened between us in the past, Jace shouldn’t have spoken to Y.N. like that. I never expected to get her pregnant, but it happened, and I will do everything in my power to protect her and our child.”
Rhaenyra was quiet for a moment before saying, “I’ll deal with Jace. I hope Y.N. is all right.”
“She will be,” Aemond replied, his gratitude evident in his voice. "Thank you."
Just as he hung up, Y.N. emerged from the bathroom, dressed in his oversized T-shirt and shorts, her hair damp and loose around her shoulders.
She looked more at ease, and Aemond smiled at the sight, his cock responding in earnest to the sight of her dressed in his clothes.
“Pick out what you want to eat,” he said, handing her the menus as he willed away his erection.
She had just started browsing when the doorbell rang. Aemond groaned, walking to the door. He opened it to be instantly greeted by Aegon and Daeron.
Aegon shoved a case of beer into Aemond's arms, and Daeron waved a deck of cards in his face. “Don’t tell me you forgot about game night.”
“Well, I—” Aemond began, but he stopped when both his brothers noticed that Y.N. was standing in the living room, dressed in Aemond’s clothes.
The atmosphere instantly shifted, both brothers grinning mischievously.
“Oh,” Aegon drawled, eyeing them both with interest. “Not interrupting anything are we?"

Warning: NSFW (read at your own discretion) / gender neutral
“my cute little slut”
Tumblr media
“What was that my love?” Simeon said with a smile.
No coherent response came from your lips, just moans and mewls of his name. Babbles or things here could be heard there as he made you finish for the hundredth time tonight.
Continuous tears fell from your eyes and you tried to think just how you got into this situation. However it was a bit difficult to think when Simeon’s cock was filling every inch of you.
“Shh it’s okay, don’t even try to bother with thinking love, I’ll just fuck all those thoughts out of your pretty little head.” Simeon smiled.
Though his voice did not match his pace whatsoever.
It was rough and deep, he made sure to hit all of your favorite spots and he practically knew your body like the back of his hand.
“Look at you, aw what a precious little thing for me. You’re taking me so well MC” Simeon said softly in your ear as his fingers worked at pinching and massaging your nipples. You were getting close, he could feel it.
It wasn’t that hard to not notice the way you would clench around his cock each time you came. Though he loved that about you. Your pretty little hole belonged to no one but him.
And, no one but him could make you feel this way.
No one but him could take away all your worries and leave you a dumb fucking babbling mess on his cock.
That was a luxury he alone had, and boy did he love it.
You had come to visit him early in the afternoon at Purgatory Hall. Luke and Solomon went out to buy dinner so Simeon was alone for a while.
Because of this you figured he was the best to vent to about your current troubles.
He understood from the moment he saw you that something was wrong, and when you explained to him how your week just continued to get worse he listened intently and gave the best advice he could.
However he also explained that he would be there for you in any way he could…and of course one thing led to another and next thing you knew you were naked on his bed with your face down in the pillow and your ass in the air.
Simon started out slow and steady making sure to tease you just a bit. He’d bring you close to an orgasm then stop and continue at a slow pace again.
After a good amount of time it drove you absolutely insane to the point you began squirming and begging him to just fuck your brains out.
So, ask and you shall receive.
Simeon wasn’t gentle in the slightest after you spoke. He grabbed your hips and roughly pounded into you until he was satisfied. You came at least twice before he finally finished in you.
That didn’t stop him though. After that he flipped you around on your back to face him and teased you as he continued to pound into you, filling you with his cock.
“You’re taking all of my cock in your tight hole so well, only I can make you feel this good huh love?” Simeon said with a chuckle.
You didn’t respond as he continued talking, all that left your mouth was moans of his name and how it was too much. He in turn noticed and began to slow down with each thrust until you noticed.
“-C”
“MC”
“MC are you listening to me?” Simeon asked with a teasing smirk, his voice now finally reaching you. He had been talking to you for a bit but you never responded so he finally stopped causing you to squirm and beg for him to move again.
“’m listening I swear” you cried out.
“Really what did I say then?” He chucked. His dick throbbed inside of you and you tried to move your hips for any type of friction since he refused to grant you any, but it was no use, Simeon just pinned down your hips with a smile.
When you didn’t respond he laughed and pulled completely out of you.
A whine was about to leave your mouth again as you were getting prepared to beg, but his cock returned inside you in less than a minute causing a gasp to leave your mouth instead; your back arched and your hips buckled into him as you came just from how deep and harsh he entered.
“You’re just a dumb little slut for my cock aren’t you?”
His words had you tightening around his dick in an instant. Out of everyone in the Devildom you never expected an angle to say something that dirty to you. It shocked you but you loved every moment of it, he could tell.
“Uh huh” you cried as you gripped the sheets beneath you.
“Who’s the only one who can make you feel this good?” He said, followed by another hard thrust.
“You” you cried softly.
“I can’t hear you love”
“You- AH…!”
Before you could even string together a sentence he made you come again. Fresh tears left your eyes as he rode you through your orgasm straight into another one.
“Don’t stress with anything else for today my love, just let me fuck you till all you can think about is me and me alone” Simeon said as another orgasm ripped through your body.
You didn’t bother answering him, besides you couldn’t even really understand what he was saying. Your mind went blank as he continued fucking you and even going so far as to whisper a few praises and a few degrading comments with each thrust.
Orgasm after orgasm he had you remember just who’s cock you were coming on.
After all his name should be the only thing you remember in that fucked out little head of yours.

- late night conversations you have with them -
featuring: aoi todo; megumi fushiguro; yuji itadori; yuta okkotsu
[ aoi todo 💌 ]
todo is the type to call you to talk about your mutually favorite idol: TAKADA-CHAN! he was so stoked to meet another fan like him, not minding that you were part of the fandom! yet lately, it seems like his late night calls would stop focusing on takada-chan and more about you…
you lay back in bed with your cellphone pressed against your right ear. on the other line was your best friend, todo, as you spoke excitedly about the meet and greet with takada-chan. you were simply reminiscing about how amazingly sweet she was, and how you nearly passed out when she agreed to take a selfie with both of you.
“ahhh i can’t stop grinning, thinking about that day aoi!”
a small chuckle was heard on the other line as todo seems to simply remain quiet, allowing you to do most of the talking, only interjecting when you asked for his input or thoughts about how he felt during that simply amazing day.
yet, the more you listened to him, the more his answers seemed nonchalant- almost lackluster, even.
“how did you feel when takada-chan grabbed your hand, giving it a shake?”
“it was alright.”
“wasn’t takada-chan super cute in her outfit! her theme was shooting stars!”
“yes, she was cute.”
“uhm, do you think she has the perfect singing voice?”
“i’d much rather hear you sing.”
your mouth was wide open in a gape, his latest answer was enough to make your head spin as you looked down incredulously at your phone. upon noticing your sudden silence, todo was heard letting out a string of curses.
“fuck, i’m sorry… did that make you uncomfortable?”
you felt yourself shaking your head in response, placing your phone back against your ear, “n-no! not at all aoi, it’s just… uhm… i didn’t expect it?”
todo’s rich chuckle fills your ears. “ah, and why is it unexpected, cutie?”
the heat felt against your cheeks was damn near unbearable, and you clenched your eyes shut, ignoring the sudden racing of your heart when you shakily tell him, "well, i mean... isn't takada-chan your number one girl?"
upon hearing your question, todo lets out another hearty laugh, his voice taking on a sudden softness- tone made gentler from the pinpricks of adoration he was beginning to feel for you.
"honey, takada-chan stopped being my number one girl the moment you stepped into my life. why would i ever want an idol that i can see once every 2 to 3 months, when i've got my own angel i can hold in my arms every single day?"
you could literally feel your heart begin to race from within the confines of your chest, making a sudden epiphany fill you as you allowed todo's words to repeat themselves over and over again within your head...
"so, what do you say, babygirl? you feel like goin' out on a date with me tomorrow? if you say yes, i'll take you to your favorite ice cream parlor and buy you as many flavors as you want."
you couldn't stop your giggling if you tried, falling back into bed while admitting to todo with a wide grin on your face, "it's a date!"
[ megumi fushiguro 🐺 ]
megumi is the type who will always accept your calls regardless of how late it is! if you're ever feeling anxious about anything, be it an upcoming exam, an argument you had with your parents, or just needed a 'good friend' to keep you company, you can always count on megumi.
your tears were still streaming down your face when you brokenly spoke into the phone, knowing that megumi was listening intently to you on the other end.
"fuck, 'gumi, it just hurts when my parents scold me for not having any particular goals in life. they get so mad at me, comparing me constantly to my older sister. she's driven and passionate about becoming a doctor, yes, but that's not what i ever wanted to do."
you hear megumi let out a scoff, yet still doesn't speak a word as he allows you to vent about the argument that you had with your parents earlier today at dinner.
your voice takes on hushed tones, being mindful at how it was 2am and that your parents were in a deep sleep right now. taking in a sharp inhale, you angrily wipe away at those tears that refused to stop streaming down your face.
"it's just, i'm so fucking tired of hearing the same conversation every day. i'm only on my second year of high school, and i shouldn't have to make a career choice so soon."
"i agree. i'm actually feeling pretty pissed along with you, so your feelings are completely valid."
and just like that, you felt your heart become considerably lighter in response to megumi's reassuring words. your tears finally slowed down its angry cascade down your cheeks, and you let out a giggle while thanking megumi.
"seriously megs, thank you, for always making time out of your day to listen to my rants. i'm honestly so shocked that you're still around, listening to me bitch and moan all the time."
megumi's laughter succeeds in making you shiver in response, making an almost dreamy smile paint your features as you felt so happy that he couldn't see you at this exact moment.
"don't mention it... i'll do anything to make you feel better..."
the hidden passion hidden within his voice makes your heart flutter in response, yet before you could call him out on it, megumi immediately changes the subject by clearing his throat suddenly, "listen, tomorrow's the start of the weekend. how about i take you out? we can have breakfast at that cafe you're always raving about."
you giggle and felt yourself nodding eagerly in response. "yes, that sounds perfect... thank you."
not wishing to stop talking to him, you spend the next few hours talking about your plans together, your anger being quickly replaced by sheer joy thanks to megumi.
[ yuji itadori 🐶 ]
best friend vibes who will talk your ear off about anything and everything all at once! you just loved hearing yuji's voice when it gets passionate about discussing the things he loves... but lately, it's been getting difficult for yuji to hide that the thing he loves the most has always been you...
"uhm, can i tell you a secret?" your name comes from yuji's parted lips in a bit of a tremor, making you feel a little worried for him. you sit up in bed and start picking at the ends of your comforter, wondering why yuji suddenly sounded so anxious.
you heard the sounds of rustling and movement on the other end, already picturing your best friend pacing around his room as he began to mumble softly, being too quiet for you to really discern what was being said.
"so... you know how we've been friends since we were practically babies, right? bein' next door neighbors and all..."
you giggle and lay back in bed, letting out a hum while clutching your favorite plushie close to your chest. "of course! we've been together for so long since our parents were such good friends with each other."
yuji's rich laughter already begins to fill your ears. "yeah... i've remained by your side through thick and thin. protecting you from boys who kept messing with your hair in grade school... jumping off a see-saw to impress you while losing a teeth, too. hehe... good times, am i right?"
"of course they're all good times." you continue to giggle, twirling your hair a bit at all the memories you shared with him. "so, why are you bringing this up, yuji?"
you felt his hesitation on the other line, hearing him mumble a curse before admitting to you with a bit of a stutter, "t-this whole time, i-i never once saw you a-as a best f-friend."
your heart practically breaks when he admitted that to you, and you were about to question why had it not been the way he immediately mended your heart with his next confession,
"i've been madly in love with you this whole time. t-to me, you've always been my girl..."
your mind was spinning, and you suddenly found that you couldn't stop smiling, even if you tried. it took you a herculean effort to hold back your squeals of happiness.
as you took your time basking in yuji's confession, you could hear his worried tone coming from your phone. "h-hey, i'm sorry, did i ruin everything between us? i swear, nothing will ever change if you don't feel the same way for me! we can just pretend this never happened and-"
"yuji itadori, shut your mouth and give me a chance to process, you dork!" you giggle and held your phone closer to your ear, telling him sweetly, "i love you, too... and i'm so happy to have known you as my best friend who... who loves me, too."
the relief was evident in yuji's voice, with you hearing him let out a sigh while chuckling weakly, "geez, way to make a guy feel like he's dying of a heart attack! your silence really had me worried there..."
you smile into your phone fondly, "to be honest with you, yuu, i don't think much will change between us. after all, we're still going to have sleepovers, late night spent bingeing movies and videogames. and you're still going to walk me to school... the only addition is now you can kiss me fully- on the lips!"
yuji whistles on the other end, and you can just imagine the perfectly handsome smirk now spreading over his lips. "babe, i really like the sound of that. let's do that real soon... can i come over tomorrow and see you?"
with the biggest grin on your face, you nod and tell him, "nothing would make me happier, yuji."
[ yuta okkotsu 💍 ]
when yuta is away, in a totally different country for a mission, it truly doesn't matter what time it may be in his or your respective timezones, HE WILL CALL YOU, since he's so achingly in love with you and always wishes to hear your voice. his ideal conversation with you would be just to listen to you talk about your day as he takes a moment to relax in a completely foreign bedroom, using your voice as his sole source of comfort when he's so far away from home.
you hear your boyfriend let out a pleased hum on the other line, just simply basking in the sound of your voice as you kept going on and on about everything that you did today.
"yeah, not much happened, yuta. i just mainly worked... then came home to relax with a light dinner before talking to you."
"oh, and what did you eat throughout the day then?"
"what? haha, you want to know every details of my meals, too?"
"of course! i know how much of a hopeless cook you are when i'm not around."
"hey! that's so rude of you to say, yuta!"
you laugh along with him, but finally relented and told him every single details about your meals throughout the day. when you finished, yuta lets out a pleased hum, and you could imagine his expression being one in deep thought.
"not bad, perhaps my love isn't so hopeless after all?"
"i'm doing just fine! but i will admit, i do miss your cooking, yuta." your smile was a wry one, truly missing your boyfriend since he had been away for so long. even with the distance, your heart truly still sang for yuta, since he always did his best to call you every day, no matter what time it was.
which made it considerably easy for you, especially during the late nights where you would find yourself missing him. whenever such yearnings struck, you would simply go back to your chat logs with yuta, or recall the conversations you had with him.
"i know you miss me, love, i miss you a lot too. but just know that i'm always thinking about you, and i'll always make time for you."
your heart was filled to the brim with love for him, making you giggle as you tell him, "now, that's enough about my day. tell me about yours."
you shut your eyes then, simply basking in the sound of yuta's voice as you listened to each and every detail about his own day, treating him with the same amount of love and respect that he had always given you.

pt. 1 2 3 4 6 7 💐
Eddie turned around, finding none other than the flower nazi. His nametag actually said Steve.
He had a leaf stuck in his hair, and his nose was abnormally rosy. Going by that and his nasal tone, he clearly had a cold. He sneezed, then looked annoyed at himself for doing so. “Ugh, sorry,” he apologized.
He was fucking adorable. It made Eddie smile. “Don’t be. I don’t really need help.” Not with flowers, anyway, just with everything else about his life. “I’m only browsing.”
It was a weird response, he realized. A guy like him, who looked like he belonged anywhere else, loitering in a shop like this. Just browsing. Right. Steve probably thought he was a creep.
Steve was surprised to hear that the man wasn’t looking for anything. Last time, he had bought something, so Steve had assumed he was a returning customer. He had been staring at the wedding arrangement, so maybe he was trying to figure out if Harrington Floral was the best place to get them from.
“That’s some talent you’ve got,” Eddie added, pointing to the display.
Steve felt himself flush. “Thanks,” he said softly, ducking his head bashfully. It wasn’t usually guys who were doling out compliments on the displays. Typically, they just asked for his advice on what they should buy for their significant others.
The redness that bloomed on Steve’s cheeks was just plain delightful. It could have been due to his illness, but Eddie was pretty sure it was a reaction to his compliment. His smile widened. “You made it, right?”
“Yes, I did. I make all the displays.” Steve ran a hand through his hair, missing the leaf by a mere centimeter. “I think I saw you last month when I was building one in the window over there. Are you sure you’re not interested in anything?”
Instead of answering, Eddie reached out and plucked the leaf out of Steve’s hair. “Sorry, you had a little bud-dy trying to catch a ride there. Was distracting the hell out of me.” Eddie showed him the small, curvy leaf.
Steve laughed, which made him cough a little. After clearing his throat, he got back to business. Steve was all about closing a sale, so he pushed a little. “Are you or someone you know getting married? I can, uh…” he thought quickly, “give you a free bouquet as a testimony to how well our flowers will hold up. I was just pruning the roses before you came in. What do you think about a bouquet of them?”
Steve remembered Eddie. And he’d laughed at Eddie’s horrible pun. But Eddie was caught off guard by the questions and the offering. Steve was observant. “I can’t let you do that,” he said. “My uncle is getting married. Hopefully. He hasn’t popped the question yet.”
It would be kind of terrible of him to accept free flowers if it didn’t work out and they never ordered any.
“That’s exciting,” Steve responded.
Genuinely, he felt like it was. Steve loved love. Working in a flower shop would be hard if he was bitter about being single. Also, the fact that someone else around his age wasn’t getting married made him feel a bit better about his own love life. Lately, it seemed like all his friends were getting hitched.
Eddie twirled a piece of hair around his finger, contemplating. He pocketed the little leaf. “I’m meeting the bride-to-be tonight. I suppose making a nice first impression wouldn’t be a bad idea.” He could give the flowers to Wayne to present to Kathleen when she came over. “How much for half a dozen?”
That was probably all he could afford, but he would be paying.
Eddie wasn’t selling as much anymore. Just weed, no powders or pills. Not since he’d discovered that one of his regulars had recently overdosed on Molly. He was at least partially responsible for that. He should have questioned the steadily increasing amount the guy was buying, but he had only been thinking about the money.
“Wouldn’t be a bad idea at all.” Steve had no intention of taking any money for the bouquet.
He walked around the store and started building it. Steve picked out four roses in red and pink, then added two pastel-dyed Asiatic lilies and sprinkled in a few strands of baby’s breath.
When he was finished, he went to the counter to put them down. He grabbed the twine and unrolled some tissue paper. “I’m sure there won’t be any more customers tonight. I’m kind of in charge, so I can totally give you these for free. Because I want to.”
Eddie pressed his lips together briefly, walking over and planting his forearms on the counter. He wasn’t some charity case. He didn’t like having debts, either. Maybe Steve had seen the type of clothes he wore and automatically assumed Eddie was trailer park trash who couldn’t afford it.
But Steve was smiling at him, looking sweet as a goddamn sugar cookie, and Eddie relaxed, rejecting the thought. That just didn’t seem right.
(Though why Steve wanted to give anyone, let alone Eddie, free flowers was a mystery.)
“You’re the boss, huh?” Eddie said. Steve looked young to own the shop, but maybe he was one of the Harringtons.
The name rang a bell. Steve Harrington. Dustin used to talk about a Steve during D&D. Gushed more than talked, really. Was he the same one?
“Technically, it’s my mom’s shop, but I’ve been running it for a while now,” Steve said. He couldn’t take all the credit.
Eddie gently drummed the counter, rings click-clacking as he watched those nimble fingers cut, tie, and wrap. His mom’s store. Well, wasn’t that precious.
Steve gave the bouquet one last critical look and a fluff with his fingers before handing it over. “With these, I think you’ll make the best impression. Maybe your uncle will even pop the question tonight!” Steve was excited for the groom to be even though he didn’t know him.
Eddie accepted the bouquet and looked down at it. “Thank you. It’s stunning.” Kind of like you.
He didn’t say that last part out loud, though he thought it hard enough that he’d probably projected it into Steve’s head.
Steve felt his face heat again. He didn’t know why he was reacting this way to the compliments. When women complimented his arrangements, he barely blinked.
Eddie brought the bouquet to his nose to smell its perfume. It brought another smile to his face before he lowered it. If Kathleen didn’t end up liking them, she was crazy.
Steve watched Eddie, grinning. “I’m Steve, by the way.”
Eddie’s gaze flickered up. He lowered the bouquet. Why were they both smiling like fucking idiots? “Eddie.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Eddie. Let me get you a card—you know, in case your uncle does propose and will need flowers from somewhere.” Steve grabbed one of the embellished business cards from the stack beside the register.
Eddie reached out to take it, and Steve sneezed again just as their fingers brushed. It was a big sneeze that made his face screw up and nearly blew him backward. Luckily, he managed to cover his nose before he bombed Eddie. Eddie tried not to laugh at his irritated expression and soft whine as he sniffled.
Eddie pocketed the card and tugged his handkerchief out at the same time. “Here,” he offered kindly, holding it out to Steve.
It was his favorite hanky, his pirate one with the skull and bones, but it was the least he could do.
Without thinking much about it, Steve took it and blew his nose. He let out a soft sigh, feeling a little better. Then he realized what he’d done. “Sorry…this is kinda gross now. Do you want it back?”
“Oh no—no, that’s yours now,” Eddie said hastily. “I insist. Consider it a token of my gratitude.” He lowered himself in a teasing bow. “Farewell, Steve, fine sir.”
So, so fine. Even with all the snot.
Eddie backed out of the store, still bent over for extra theatricality. When he straightened up, Steve looked confused but was red in the cheeks again. Score.
On the ride home, Eddie almost missed a turn because he kept glancing at the bouquet.

“Hey,” Robin pokes you, still snoring constantly next to her on the air mattress. “Hey, wake up! I’m starving!” she shakes you lightly, and you groan. “C’mon, Benny’s is never packed this late. I’m buyin’.” Your eyes flutter open at the mention of her treating you.
“Okay, okay. I’m awake.”
“Oh, good. I was beginning to think the last vodka sprite killed you.”
“It probably should’ve.” You squint, attempting not to let too much light in before you know the status of your hangover. You blink a few times, focusing solely on not sitting up too quickly. “Alright, I think we’re in the clear. Bacon sounds so good right now.”
“Is she up?” Steve calls from the kitchen, over the clatter of bottles being thrown into the recycling bin.
“Yeah, I’ve tempted her with free food.” Robin giggles, following your lead of slowly exiting the blow up bed. “Will the Insufferable Bard be joining us on the breakfast quest?” You regret the words after they leave your lips.
“Is the evil queen asking little ole me to tag along?” Eddie practically skips into the living room, way too chipper for your hungover brain to handle. Steve has the balls to snicker. “I’d be absolutely delighted to accompany you to dine for breakfast, Highness.” He curtsies for emphasis.
“Never mind, actually. I just remembered I’m needed somewhere that, um, not here.”
Eddie tsks at you. “Ah, no take backs. Shall I get your coat?”
-
Fluffy diner pancakes and greasy bacon can and do save you. You moan as you shove a bite full of syrup and pancake into your mouth, met with similar responses as your friends devour their food. You can feel Eddie staring at you from across the booth.
“So, did I sleep through all of the cleaning?” You ask after swallowing. “I promise that wasn’t the intention.”
Steve shakes his head, sipping his coffee. “Actually, you did most of it last night. You don’t remember?”
You squint, as if trying to see the blurry memories in front of you. You remember playing beer pong, and then losing beer pong. You remember bits and pieces of conversations with Robin and Steve. You remember Chrissy running out of Steve’s bedroom. Then nothing. “Huh. Guess not.” Usually you only black out when you’re angry, but you can’t remember anything viscerally upsetting happening to you. Not consciously.
Steve shrugs. “Weird. Nah, we let you sleep. It was hard enough getting you into bed.”
You feel your cheeks burn. “Sorry, Steve. Guess I can’t hold my liquor.”
“Nah, I didn’t do anything. Eddie pretty much took care of you.”
Your blood freezes in your veins, draining quickly from your face. “What?”
Steve places his mug down, and Robin throws her arms in the air in defeat and disappointment. “What? What did I say?”
“Seriously, dingus?”
Eddie’s gone silent, silverware long abandoned on his plate. “You promised you weren’t gonna bring that up.” The words are muffled behind his hand.
“I did?”
Robin slaps her palm to her forehead.
“What the hell is going on?” You look from Steve to a red cheeked Eddie.
He sighs. “Sorry, princess. Guess your knight in shining armor’s an ogre.”
You’re gaping. Not a single part of this makes sense to you. You and Eddie haven’t been that close in years. “Aren’t you already Chrissy’s ogre though?”
Eddie’s eyes narrow, irritated as he shoves a bite of toast into his mouth. “That’s none of your business.”
You raise your hands in surrender. “Okay, shit. Didn’t know you were so sensitive about it.”
“I think I’m lost here.” Steve interrupts, leaning over Robin to reach for the syrup.
“Can we move on, please? I don’t feel like talking about this.”
The response is an awkward silence.
“Thank you.” Eddie says, mouth full of bread. You surrender, for now. You make it a point in your head to find out more. It’s only fair, you reason, I was there too.
“Chris, you home?” You call your brother as you enter your apartment. Guitars are blaring from the back of your house, loud enough that he wouldn’t be able to hear you. You wander down the hall, checking the empty bathroom and kitchen on your way. “Chris?”
“Hey, Bug!” Chris calls from the spare-bedroom-turned-studio, turning his stereo down. “C’mere a sec, need your opinion on something.” You follow the sound of his voice into the room, taking in the sight in front of you. Chris has sprawled himself out on the floor, a skateboard deck dismantled in front of him. “Can I ask you something?” You lean against the doorframe, observing your brother.
“You just did.”
You scoff. “Can you remember anything from last night?”
Your question stops his movement. “Uh, maybe. Which part?”
“It’s spotty after midnight. What happened to me?”
Chris turns to face you, and you move to sit in the office chair across from him. “Well. You still can’t handle your liquor.”
“Oh, c’mon. I had, like, three drinks.”
“Yeah, and you got your ass beat in beer pong. I know you hate it, but beer still has alcohol in it.”
“Oh, shut up. Tell me what happened!”
“Okay, but you can’t get mad.”
“I will not be making any promises.”
-
Last night (as told by Chris)
You stumble into the kitchen, on your way for yet another refill, but you’re stopped short by the solid torso dawned in old leather, reeking of weed. “Man, roadblock.” You Look up to find Eddie looking down at you, eyes curious, joint in hand standing next to your brother, blocking the cooler. “Move aside, dweebs.”
“Hey, Bug. You okay?”
“Hm?” You try to focus on Chris’s face, squinting hard, as if you’re looking directly at the sun. “Yeah, ‘m cool. It’s bright in here.” The lights aren’t even on.
“No, she’s not.” Eddie’s eyes are fully trained on you, concern written plainly on his face. The kid likes to party, but he knows his limits. You, unfortunately, cannot say the same. You rest against the sticky counter, but immediately retract at the sensation, breathing shallowly through your nose. Eddie can see the panic in your eyes when they linger in space for a second too long.
“She’s gonna puke. Move, I got her.” Eddie sprints to your aid, leading you down the hall by the waist, draping your arm over his shoulder, and into the bathroom. “Eddie, ‘m fine.” You slur, completely unconvincing. The bathroom is empty, thankfully. The party’s been over for a while, but you’d slammed quite a few without hesitation tonight, and Eddie thinks, perhaps, he had something to do with it.
“Hey, I got you, c’mere.” Eddie holds your hair back as you crouch in front of the toilet, the only thought going through his head being “Fuck, fuck, fuck!”, while he reaches with his free hand to wet a washcloth. When his back is turned, you let it rip, and he rushes back to your side, placing the cool cloth against your clammy forehead. “Feel better?”
Your face screws tightly in concentration. “Gettin’ there.” You string the words together, like you’re too afraid to open your mouth any wider. “Thanks, Ed.”
“Don’t worry about it.”
“It’s not like we’re friends.” You flinch after you say it.
“Maybe not, but I know too-drunk-to-stand when I see it. Wasn’t gonna let you try to find your own way here.”
“Or you’re secretly in love with me.” You tease, voice strained.
“Okay, now you’re talkin’ crazy. C’mon sweets, it’s bedtime.” He dodges your comment, eager to get out of there.
“Nooo,” You whine, and Eddie smiles dopily at you. “I’m not tired!”
“Doesn’t matter. You stay out here, you’re destined to give yourself alcohol poisoning. C’mon, we can go set up your bed downstairs.”
“You tryna suggest something, Munson?” You tease, wobbly as he helps you stand up.
“What would I be suggesting?” You shrug. You must not have a clue what you’re saying right now. “Did your brother tell you something?”
“What? No, I’m kidding, Eddie. We don’t like each other, remember?”
“No, you don’t like me.”
Your resolve seems to slip, but only a little. “I have my reasons.”
Eddie nods. “Yeah, I know.” He stands up, and offers his hand out for you. You grab it, using it to pull your weight up from the ground. “Okay, prince charming. Whisk me to bed.”
“As you wish, princess.” He helps you get back downstairs, and into the already prepared air mattress. “Your throne awaits.”
You giggle as he guides you down, staying parallel to your body in case you lose your balance. You make it unscathed though, and he brings the blanket up to your chin. “Here,” He pulls an unopened water bottle from his back pocket. “Lemme get you a bucket or something, I’ll be right back.”
“Wait,” You reach out and grab his hand. He looks at your face, the way your eyes are already half closed like your eyelids weigh a ton. “Can you take them off?”
“Excuse me?” He chokes.
“My boots. They’re hard to take off.” You point to your feet, sticking out of the blanket and clad in heavy leather.
“Oh, yeah. ‘Course.” He clears his throat nervously, busying his hands with the buckles of your shoes. By the time he slides the second one off, your head has hit the pillow, and you’re snoring peacefully.
Present day
You feel your stomach drop, much akin to the way it must have felt last night. “That did not happen.”
Chris shrugs, like it’s nothing. “Maybe I got some details wrong. After he got you to bed he was freaking out. I don’t get why you have such an issue with the guy.” He shrugs, turning back to his board.
You furrow your brow at him. “Are you being serious?” He whips his head back to you, confused. “Remember? He got you put in prison?!”
He stares back at you, blank faced. “What are you talking about?”
“He ratted you out, Chris! Testified against you! Snitched! I know I blacked out last night, but c'mon! You were in the room when it happened!”
“Oh, my god.”
“What?!” You’re beside yourself, absolutely at a loss. “Chris, don’t tell me you forgive him for that.”
“Beebs, my beautiful, innocent, cherub of a little sister. You have no idea what you’re talking about right now.” Somewhere in the distance, Chris’s phone is ringing, and your vision goes white.
“What does that even mean?!” Chris ignores you, picking up his cell. “Chris!”
“Yo,” You can’t hear the voice on the other line. “Hey, man. Relax. No, she’s good. Alive, thanks to you probably. Kinda pissed, though.” He looks to where you’re silently seething at your brother. “No, I didn’t say shit! I just filled in some blanks from last night.” You can hear Eddie on the other line, voice frantic, but you can’t make out what he’s saying. “Okay. No, I won’t. But you have to.” Long pause. “Yeah, you do. I thought she knew!” He waits. “I don’t care! She has every right to, actually! I would be pissed, too! Figure it out, dude.” He hangs up and looks back to you. “Eddie has some explaining to do.”

Standing You Up
Headcannons
Summary: The brothers accidentally stand you up / forget about a date that they had with you.
Tumblr media
Lucifer let out a frustrated sigh as he rubbed his temples for the tenth time that night. His younger brothers all stood before him, explaining their sides of the story as they all tried to clarify exactly how the House of Lamentation caught on fire.
He had come home from a meeting with Lord Diavolo when the smell of smoke filled his nostrils followed by Asmo’s and Levi’s screams.
Lucifer had rushed inside to see the living room on fire and his brothers in the middle of a very heated argument. Anger filled his senses as he immediately yelled for them to stop, putting out the fire, and demanding an explanation.
But the explanation had taken much longer than expected. Each one of them had their own overdramatic reasons as to why they had participated in the fight, leaving Lucifer more confused and exhausted by the end of it.
While this was all happening at the House of Lamentation, you were standing outside of the Opera House, all dressed up. Lucifer had gotten you tickets to an opera you had been wanting to see for your birthday. You had been sending him messages and calling him, but you got nothing in response. It wasn’t until the opera had already started that you gave up on him showing up.
“None of this would have happened if Y/N had been here to stop it,” Asmo defended. Lucifer’s eyes suddenly widened at the mention of your name. Realization dawned on him as he looked to the clock, wincing at the time.
He immediately scrambled for his D.D.D., his heart stopping when he saw all of the missed messages and calls. His eyes were burning with a fiery rage. He wanted so badly to punish his brothers properly, but there would be time for that later. Right now, he needed to remedy the situation with you.
With a few threatening demands, Lucifer quickly left his brothers and began heading towards the Opera House. He tried to call you, but you didn’t answer.
He looked dejected when he didn’t see you standing in front of it. Not that the two of you could make the opera now anyway.
His eyes lit up though when he saw you walking down the street, not too far away. He immediately rushed to you, catching up with ease. “Y/N!”
His voice froze you in your spot as he was suddenly in front of you. Your eyes were glossy and he hated the idea that he had made you cry. “You’re late.”
“I’m sorry,” he told you, taking your hand in his and squeezing it gently to tell you he was being genuine. He took in your appearance. You looked stunning. An idea suddenly popped into his head.
“Allow me to take you to Ristorante Six instead,” Lucifer offered. You were still a bit mad, but you wanted to spend at least some time with him tonight. So, you agreed and a bright smile lit up Lucifer’s face.
He would explain why he was late on the way to the restaurant along with how exactly he was going to punish each one of his brothers for making him miss his date with you.
Tumblr media
You anxiously paced in your room as you sent another text to Mammon. You weren’t sure how many you had sent at this point, but it still wasn’t enough. You let out a small sigh, turning your D.D.D. to sleep.
There was a concert tonight in the Devildom that was a “human-world cover band”. You saw a flier for them while you were out with Mammon and noticed their line-up. You knew almost every song they were going to play. You had been so excited to go because it would remind you of home. So, Mammon promised he would take you.
He told you he would be back from RAD a little later than normal, but even then, you would have had plenty of time to make it to the concert. But, minutes turned to hours, and he still wasn’t there. You let out a small sigh as you sat down on your bed, a small tear rolling down your cheek. Even if Mammon answered now, you wouldn’t make it in time.
Mammon had every intention of taking you to that concert. He loved the way your face lit up when you first saw the flier. He didn’t understand why you were so excited until he saw what kind of songs they were singing. After that, he knew that he had to be the one to take you to it.
You would look so cute dancing and singing to all of the songs you knew from your realm. He couldn’t let his brothers see that. No, this would be something special between the two of you.
He was thinking about it all day at school. He even managed to save a little bit of Grimm to buy you something at the concert.
But, then, one of the modeling agencies messaged Mammon, letting him know that there was an urgent job available. One of the models dropped out at the last second, and they were desperate. The problem was that it was only for today after school.
Mammon let out a small sigh, getting ready to tell them that he already had plans; but, then they sent him the amount he would be paid for it. It would be enough to get you even more things at the concert! You would be so happy!
He agreed to go and rushed over to the location. He would be really quick!
He had lost track of time, doing pose after pose and watching the Grimm pile up with each picture that was taken.
The photographer was getting ready for the next part of the shoot when Mammon overheard the news channel that was playing softly on the TV in the background. And tonight’s concert had a record-breaking attendance, making it a night to remember!
Mammon’s eyes flashed to the TV in an instant as he saw clips of the concert he was supposed to take you to. He immediately ran to his phone. It couldn’t be that late already, right?!
He felt like he couldn’t breathe as he saw the time and all the missed messages and calls. He immediately rushed home, forgetting to even collect the Grimm he had already earned. He had never run so fast in his entire life, practically breaking the front door of its hinges as he burst through it, going straight to your room.
He knocked on the door, but when you didn’t come to answer it, he entered. A small frown formed as he saw you laying on your bed, facing away from him. You had already changed back into your pajamas and you refused to even look at him.
“Y/N,” he said softly, taking a few steps closer. When you didn’t reply, he came and sat behind you on the bed. From here, he could see your open eyes, staring at the blank wall in front of you. “I’m sorry.”
You let out a sigh before finally turning to face him. He could see the stains from your tears and his heart immediately broke.  “Where were you?”
Mammon opened his mouth a few times to explain, but he had no excuse for standing you up. “I was just tryin’ to earn more Grimm so I could get ya’ some gifts at the concert,” he finally said, unable to look you in the eyes.
“I didn’t need gifts, Mammon. I just wanted to go to the concert and spend some time with you,” you replied. His frown deepened at your words. He really messed up. You placed your hand on his and his eyes finally met yours. You appreciated the gesture and would never make him feel bad for wanting to spoil you, but you were disappointed you missed the concert.
“There’s still plenty of time in the night, ya’ know. We could watch some human-world movies!” Mammon suggested, his eyes lighting up with hope. You gave him a small smile before agreeing.
As the two of you cuddled and watched some of your favorite movies, Mammon secretly promised you that this was only the start of what he was going to do to make things up to you.
Tumblr media
You were standing in line, nervously biting your lip as you looked around for Levi. Demons surrounded you but none of them were the one who was supposed to meet you there.
Levi had gotten you completely addicted to one of his anime and they were releasing a new manga that was associated with it today. Even more, the manga artist was in the bookstore signing each copy that was being bought!
You were so excited to not only get the new manga but to meet the manga artist behind it. You had told Levi about it and he seemed just excited. He promised to meet you at the bookstore, but there was no sign of him.
You pulled out your D.D.D. to send him a message asking if he was coming when you noticed that you had missed several text messages from him.
“Y/N! There’s a big raid happening.” “Hop on! We need you!” “Y/N, seriously! This is an emergency!” “WHERE ARE YOU??”
You let out a small sigh as you put away your D.D.D. You now understood Levi had completely forgotten about today. You frowned a bit as you reached the table and paid for two copies of the manga. You didn’t even have the motivation to revel in the awesomeness of the manga artist as he signed the mangas.
With a small thank you, you took the copies and headed back to the House of Lamentation.
As soon as you entered the House, Levi was approaching you. “Y/N! Where were you?! Did you not get my messages??” Levi asked, he had a somewhat angry expression on his face and your eyes trailed to the manga in your hands.
“I got you a copy,” you told him, handing him the manga.
Levi’s expression went from confused to panic as he suddenly understood where you were and what he had done.
“AH, I’m so sorry!” Levi said, suddenly in tears. He can’t believe he did this to his true friend. He thought you had abandoned him in a time of need but he was the one who did the abandoning.
You still had a sad look on your face and it was killing him. “I-I’ll do anything you want to make it up to you!” he added, desperately trying to get you to look happier.
You didn’t reply for a moment until you looked at the manga again. “Will you read it with me?”
Levi’s eyes lit up as he immediately took you to his room so that you could read the manga together in peace.
You sat close to each other as you read the manga, completely invested in the story.
When you were done, Levi demanded you tell him everything about the manga artist. He wanted to know every detail and if he was as awesome in real life as they thought he would be. You admitted that you were a little too upset to really take in the moment.
Levi promises if he comes out with another manga that the two of you will go together and you would be the first in line for a signing. This would never happen again!

Satan was known for being punctual. He was always paying attention to the time and he knew the exact amount of minutes it would take to get to wherever his destination was for the day.
So he wore a proud smirk on his face as he looked at the clock in the House of Lamentation to find that he was running almost a whole 30 minutes early to your date.
The two of you had plans to meet at a cafe in town for a study date. You had been struggling a bit with one of the classes and Satan had offered to help you.
The cafe was the perfect location. It was close enough to the House of Lamentation and it was quiet. His brothers wouldn’t be there to constantly interrupt and distract you from your studies; and, most importantly, it would be a nice intimate setting for the two of you.
Satan began making his way to the cafe. He figured it would be better to be early rather than late. And, he couldn’t wait to see you.
On the way to the cafe, Satan heard a small noise that froze him in place. He would recognize that sound anywhere.
Satan turned his head to see a black and white cat sitting only a few feet from him. The cat was flicking its tail staring straight at Satan and he couldn’t help the way his heart swelled at the sight. They were so adorable!
The cat suddenly took off down the alleyway and Satan had a strong urge to chase after it. He followed it a bit further and stopped when he found himself in the middle of a cat haven. A large smile graced his lips as he sat down on the ground, beginning to pet one of the cats. He was still early so he knew he could afford to spend a little time here with the cats.
He made sure to give each and every single one of them love - letting them know they each individually deserved it.
His eyes widened in surprise as a cat crawled into his lap and curled into a ball, purring softly as it started to fall asleep. Satan would let it sleep - but only for a few minutes. Then, another cat came to him - and another.
Soon he was surrounded by cats. They were so cute when they were curled up sleeping on him and around him. Satan wanted to stay like this forever. He decided to close his eyes and take in the moment. Just for a second.
You placed your phone in your bag as Satan didn’t answer once again. You looked at the time and noticed the cafe was closing in ten minutes. You let out a sigh before deciding you should start packing up your things.
Satan’s eyes snapped open when he felt one of the cats kneading at his leg. “Careful there,” he joked. He felt stiff as he carefully moved the cats off his lap. It was time to go to the cafe. How long had he been sitting there? Surely it was only for a few minutes.
Satan pulled out his D.D.D. to check the time and when he did, he stopped breathing. He was there for four hours! Satan let out a small gasp as he quickly started running to the cafe. Did he - fall asleep? How was that possible? He’s not Belphie.
He arrived at the cafe just as you were putting away the last of your things. He saw you through the window, looking dejected, and he could feel the rage start bubbling up inside of him. But towards who?
Himself. He couldn’t believe he had blown this opportunity. He couldn’t believe he missed out on the chance to spend the night with you.
You walked out of the cafe and froze when you saw Satan standing there. His rage suddenly subsided as he looked into your eyes. He took a few careful steps forward. He didn’t know what to say. He didn’t know how to fix this.
You didn’t know what to say either. Until you looked down at his clothes and noticed all of the fur that was on him.
“Satan, did you stand me up…for cats?” you asked, raising an eyebrow. Satan opened his mouth to say something as a deep blush coated his cheeks. He looked down in shame as he told you, “I lost track of time.”
You let out a small chuckle and Satan’s eyes immediately snapped up towards you. You should have been angry at him; but, you found his love for the felines absolutely adorable and you could tell he genuinely didn’t mean to stand you up.
“We should get back to the House of Lamentation,” you told him. That was the last thing he wanted. He wanted the night to last for ten more hours so he could get ample time with you. But, Lucifer had strict curfew rules and he knew the both of you would be in trouble if you weren’t back in time, so he agreed.
The two of you started walking back in silence until Satan said, “I’m sorry. This will never happen again. Next time, I’ll make sure I show up early.”
You looked up at Satan and gave him a small smile. You believed him. And, the promise of a next time was enough to satisfy you.
“Do you want to tell me about the cats?”

Asmo let out a frustrated sigh as he once again deleted the video he just recorded. This had to be his hundredth time recording the same thing that day.
There was a current trend on FabSnap and he was trying to recreate it in his own way. He had a very strict posting schedule for all of his followers on FabSnap and he had to get this video out today.
He took in a deep breath, resetting everything. He knew he could make the perfect video, he just needed to focus a little more. Or maybe it was the lighting. He could move locations, but then he would have set up everything all over again and that could take longer than he had. No, he would have to stay there and just try again until he got it right.
“I’m sorry, but this massage is meant for couples and if the other party isn’t here soon, I’m afraid you’ll lose your spot.”
You looked at the demoness behind the counter at the massage parlor and let out a small sigh. Asmo was more than an hour late and they were trying very hard to push you out of there. You knew that she was just trying to do her job so you didn’t maliciously respond. Instead, you just agreed to leave and put your names back on the waitlist.
On the whole way back to the House of Lamentation, you wondered why Asmo hadn’t called or texted you to let you know he wasn’t going to make it. He was usually so adamant about the two of you communicating.
When you reached the House you immediately went to Asmo’s room and knocked softly. You waited for him to answer, but when he didn’t you slowly opened the door, hoping he wasn't indecent - even though he wouldn’t mind either way.
“Finally!” Asmo practically screamed as the door opened. You raised an eyebrow as you saw him sitting on his bed, a satisfied smile resting on his lips as he watched the video he had just made on his D.D.D.
You understood now why he hadn’t shown up at the massage parlor. He tried so hard to keep his followers happy. Still, you couldn’t help but be a bit upset about getting stood up.
You made your way into the room, alerting Asmo of your presence and a large smile graced his face when he looked at you.
“Y/N! Come look at this video! It’s perfect!” Asmo told you as you joined him on his bed. He played the video and you did have to admit it was impressive.
“That’s amazing, Asmo! It must have taken all day to record,” you replied, watching his reactions very carefully.
“It did, but it was worth it! I look amazing in this one!” he replied, completely oblivious as he continued to edit the video.
“Still, it must have been hard work though. I mean, you could probably really use a massage,” you added, and you felt Asmo completely freeze up next to you.
He gasped loudly, dropping his D.D.D. on the bed as his eyes welled up with tears of realization as he slowly turned to look at you.
He suddenly threw his arms around you, burying his head in the crook of your neck as he apologized profusely, muttering excuses about how he just wanted to make a good video and promising he would make it up to you.
He wouldn’t stop until you hugged him back. “I know how you can make it to me.”
Asmo has a suggestive look on his face that makes you laugh. “With a massage,” you add, and the devilish smirk doesn’t leave his face.
He’ll immediately get up and grab everything he needs to give you a great massage. It starts out innocent, but it’ll probably lead to his original idea.

You sat in the middle of the secluded Devildom park, staring up at the sky above you as instinctively hugged yourself, the cold air starting to get to you.
You were sitting on a large, comfortable blanket while a beautiful picnic basket sat next to you. It was full of all of Beel’s favorite snacks and drinks. Though, you supposed most of the food was freezing by now.
Tonight was supposed to be a romantic picnic date between you and Beel. But he hadn’t shown up; and, he hadn’t even bothered to respond to any of your texts or phone calls.
You were ready to just head back to the House of Lamentation and call it a night. But, you also wanted to stay just a little bit longer and give Beel the benefit of the doubt. Surely, he would show up at some point, right? He hadn’t just completely forgotten about you…right?
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Beel was wearing a happy smile as he sat back in his chair in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen.
He had stopped by on his way to the park for his date with you. He wanted to grab a special dessert for the two to share after you were done eating.
But, when he got there, they just so happened to be running an “all-you-can-eat” special.
Beel felt like he had just won the lottery when he heard those words and it was as if all self-restraint and willpower left his body. He suddenly found himself eating everything the restaurant had, despite their pleas not to. They couldn’t exactly refuse him service though. He was one of the Seven Rulers of the Devildom.
When he was finally done, he took a moment to take in everything he had just eaten. Then, he felt his D.D.D. vibrate in his pocket. He took it out and his eyes widened as he saw all of the missed message notification along with your most recent message.
Hey, I don’t know if you’re getting these, but it’s getting pretty cold. I’m going to head home.
Beel immediately jumped to his feet as he started running towards the park. He struggled to type out a message as he ran as fast he could.
Don’t go! I’ll be right there!
He was sure that if he was human he would have thrown up after eating that much food and then sprinting. Luckily, he was a demon.
When he finally got to the park, he saw you sitting on the picnic blanket, your knees tucked into your chest as you wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to keep warm.
Beel immediately rushed to you, wrapping his arms around you in a tight hug. “I’m sorry,” he muttered. He noticed how cold you were and it only made him feel worse as he pulled you impossibly close, trying to transfer his body heat to you.
You leaned into his touch as he explained the “all-you-can-eat” deal and how he fell for it. He was so apologetic as he clutched onto you. As if you would leave and never come back the second he let go.
You could tell he felt horrible, so you wrapped your arms around him, fully hugging each other now. “It’s okay, Beel, I understand.”
“We can still have the picnic,” he said with hope in his voice but you gently shook your head. “All the food is cold. But, we can try and come back on a different day,” you suggested.
He nodded his head and helped you gather everything. The two of you walked back to the House of Lamentation and he spent the rest of the night holding you, making sure you knew how he felt about you even though he messed up.
Would still eat the food you made, cold or not, when he gets hungry in the middle of the night.

Belphie checked the bag that he packed for the fifth time that night. He was planning on taking you to a popular Devildom mountain. There was a special phenomenon happening tonight. It was called the “Superno Luminaria” and it only happened once a year in the Devildom.
Belphie had heard that the human world had something similar. But, it was called the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis up there. It wasn’t quite the same. In the human world, the lights were caused by activity from the sun.
In the Devildom, they were caused by…well, no one could say what caused them for sure. Most people say it’s an outburst of magic from the Devildom that is displayed in the sky. It definitely wasn’t the sun though. After all, the Devildom didn’t have one.
When he told you about the Superno Luminaria he was surprised at how excited you were. He thought you’d take an interest, but seeing the way your eyes lit up made his heart swell with joy.
Whether you were more excited to see the lights or go on a date with Belphie is your secret.
He decided that he wanted to do everything in his power to make the night perfect for you. Beel was surprised to see his brother putting in so much effort; but, when he questioned it, Belphie just shrugged it off.
You had to stay a bit late at RAD that night. You had some tasks that you had to finish so Belphie offered to pick you up when you were done. You promised it would be in enough time to make it up the mountain before the lights came. Belphie insisted that it would give you the best view. But, you had lost track of time, and you knew you might be cutting it close now.
When you were done, you called Belphie, but there was no answer. You tried calling again, but still no answer. You tried texting him again, waiting for a response.
Beel was sitting next to Belphie who was completely passed out on the couch. Beel saw as your name and picture lit up the screen of his D.D.D. but the ringing went completely unnoticed by Belphie.
Beel started having a huge debate with himself. He knew better than to wake his twin brother up. Usually, the consequences of waking him up from a good nap highly outweighed the benefits. But, Beel figured he would be a lot more mad if he missed his date with you.
Taking in a deep breath, Beel gently shook Belphie’s shoulders. “Belphie, wake up,” Beel stated. Belphie let out a small groan of resistance and Beel continued. “You’re going to miss your date with Y/N.”
Belphie’s eyes suddenly shot open as he came face to face with Beel. He immediately scrambled for his D.D.D. and looked at the time. He couldn’t believe he fell asleep at such an important time!
I’ll be right there.
He immediately sent the message and rushed out the door with the bag that had a cozy blanket and Beel’s snacks along with a couple other things.
Belphie arrived at RAD soon after and saw you outside in the courtyard. “Y/N! Come on, we’re not going to make it if we don’t leave!”
“Belphie,” you said softly. “It’s already starting,” you added. His face immediately fell into a frown as he looked up at the sky and saw it slowly begin to shift color.
You noticed the bag he was holding and the blanket that was sticking partly out of it. You looked around and noticed a nearby bench that had a perfect view of the sky. Sure, you wouldn’t be nearly as close to the lights, but it’d still be perfect in its own way.
You took Belphie by the hand and led him over to the bench. You took the bag from him and took out the blanket before sitting down next to him.
“I’m sorry I fell asleep - I wanted tonight to be perfect for you,” he told you, the frown still on his lips.
“You make it perfect,” you told him, placing a small kiss on his cheek. Belphie blushed as you spread the blanket across the two of you. He wrapped his arms around you as you leaned into him, resting your head on his shoulder as the two of you looked at the sky, watching the lights that displayed across it.
Belphie pulled you closer, taking in every second of this moment. Every time the two of you had plans from now on, he would always make sure to set multiple alarms to wake him up.
