Now, answers to your questions!

How would Hawthorn deal with Y/N if they had entomophobia (the fear of bugs)? Or acrophobia (the fear of heights)?

Hawthorn would see MC's terror and associate it with fear strictly for him, and take that as a sign to stay away (but he's too weak to actually commit to that) before discovering it's of bugs. His being a big o' moth really doesn't help much. He would take care to not startle or run up on MC and talk as a way of distraction, carefully inching his way closer and closer to show how much he isn't a threat. He would invite MC to stroke his wings or dial back on his more inhuman noises like buzzing when he's irritated.

The fear of heights is far trickier. He'll make the mistake of grabbing MC to carry MC off to safety or simply a need to transport MC faster, before registering how much blood has drained from MC's face and the sickly green hue is taking over. After that, he coaxes MC into baby steps, starting with little trust exercises of carrying MC in his arms before elevating it to floating just a few inches from the ground, then carefully gliding. He is patient and encouraging, and he allows MC to go at a slow pace but he would insist they both keep trying this together. He wants MC to experience the one true pleasure he has: flight.

What if Y/N had a pollen allergy?

Hawthorn doesn't think he collects and carries pollen like butterflies do, but when MC starts having terrible reactions to his close proximity and reveals their allergy, he learns something new that day. From then on, he takes great care to brush off his body and wings before he drops in for a visit. He also has to get creative from then on to take MC to places where it won't leave MC in sneezing fits or with watering eyes.

Grease loves to tease and spook MC, it's all part of his charm, but he would never want to push MC to a breakdown due to it. The first choked breath or sign of tears, he freezes to assess what happened—what did he do wrong? Then he would lower his voice to calm MC, so soft and sweet when he's been so sinister and savage before. Once MC settles enough, he doesn't say "I'm sorry" but goes in his roundabout wording to make it clear enough that that's what he's trying to say. It would bother him to see MC so overwhelmed by what he thought was fun, and he would dial it back a few degrees (subtly) next time.

As for sensory issues, Grease would figure it's the same old reaction anyone would have to oil staining their clothes until MC makes it clear that it's particularly unpleasant. Grease would grumble a bit about MC trying to escape him but he would compromise on a solution of touching MC when they have protective coverings on and when it's a good day, oil-to-skin contact.

How would he feel if Y/N sprayed him with a cleaning product like he was a cat?

Grease is going to snarl and hiss and slip out under the door before he comes back with a plan of vengeance (man-handling and kisses—in that order).

How would Calmo go about dealing with Y/N if their overly burnt out? Or if they are just overly exhausted?

Calmo approaches it from a logical perspective: MC must take a break or the body will suffer the consequences. All of his reasoning is sound but if MC comes up with excuses or keeps slipping away from time to relax and unwind to continue to do work, he becomes a menacing shadow, reminding that this behavior will lead to sickness or sleeping excessively—the body is a machine as any other, and if it is not tended to properly, it will break down. His concern breaks out in expanding intensity. If push comes to shove, he will carry MC off to bed for mandated resting time and allow an activity that is gentle and restful, either reading a book, listening to calming music, or watching a peaceful video. He will remind MC again that this rest and time to recover is important, and he will see to it that MC gets what is needed.

How would he deal with something like comfort outfits? Especially if part of that comfort would be the scent of the clothes? Would he wash it less? Or maybe only wash it when asked to?

Calmo can be persuaded to be less strict about clothing, though he is in charge of the laundry in MC's house. If MC tells him that these outfits are too comfortable to part with, he will attempt to reason that cleaned attire will be far more comfortable. MC would press back that the smell is part of it. Calmo would not understand, but he would allow it to go for a time before he inevitably demands the clothing for a wash and swiftly returns them back to MC.

How would each deal with a mental breakdown that seemingly came out of nowhere?

I already touched on Grease's, and his reaction would be on par with his causing the breakdown.

As for Hawthorn, he is quick to gather MC in his arms and rock gently until the worst has passed. He is attentive and soothing with many hands stroking at MC's hair or cheeks, and waiting to hear what caused this. He wants to reassure MC that it's going to be alright.

Calmo is very unprepared for such an event, but he would determine what is comfortable for MC and provide it, deciding to guide MC to the couch and swaddle MC in a favorite blanket, fetch hot tea, and sit nearby, offering his hand if MC decides to hold it. He lowers his audio to a gentle frequency and relays that crying is a natural way to release stress in humans and MC will feel better after this episode.

The boys wouldn't find it too strange for MC to carry a fidget toy. Grease might try and steal it though to mess with MC. Calmo would find it amusing but never speak of it, while Hawthorn asks about it once. As for picking or chewing, Hawthorn would find subtle ways to catch MC's hands or give dry leaves or little sticks that MC can crack or break in lieu of such nervousness. Calmo is much more blunt and tells MC it is not healthy to do such activities and seeks out alternatives to aid MC in calming down. Grease is much more interested in inviting MC to touch him instead of their hands/skin, but when the suggestiveness doesn't land, he asks questions as to why MC is doing it.

How would they deal Y/N ignoring them either on purpose or not because their overwhelmed? Would it be on purpose or accidental change the answer?

Grease would not handle it well, either on purpose or accident, and he would make his displeasure known. He will not be ignored so easily. He will make it so MC can't ignore him.

Hawthorn takes it that he is unwanted, believing it is purposeful, either way. He should have known it would come eventually. He would leave MC for a time, and come back in a day or two to see if anything has changed and if MC will speak to him. He hopes so.

Calmo would be confounded by it, then determined to return the silent treatment. He would stalk about the house, doing his chores in a much more loud, obnoxious manner, and pointedly avoid meeting MC's gaze until MC broke the silence. On purpose or accidentally, Calmo is silently fuming.

やる can mean a billion different things, but in this context, it means "to give." And this is the kind of "give" you say when talking about giving something to a dog or plant or the like

I know they are gods and probably see humans and angels on a entire different level. But is funny they talk like that to someone who has the ability to wipe and defeat their entire armies.

This kind of thing is depicted throughout the game, I think. One good example is in chapter 12 when Viridi comes to the unpleasant realization that Pit's essentially a one man army.

Pretty much the same sentiment is expressed in the Japanese version too:

"Just going in nonchalantly all alone, huh? You've got guts."

"Hey! Why are you guys have such trouble with one lone angel?!"

Or take the Underworld army, for instance. They evidently are aware that Pit's a formidable foe, hence why they sought to create a clone of him via the Mirror of Truth, but they seem to refuse to like... actively acknowledge it. Nobody really treats him like a threat at the end of the day.

katara isn't sutble at all in her interest in aang i think zutaras have their blinders on if they can't see how much she was into him. its why i find that fandom so frusterating i've never seen a pairing that was so obvious and yet they act like it was one sided.. when katara was all into him since ep 1 to wanting to run off with him when he got banished. if that dont scream girl is gonna fall in love with main character i dont know what does.

in order to understand katara’s feelings for aang, you need to understand katara’s character at a fundamental level. unfortunately, many, many people in the fandom do not and refuse to understand. for an example, a common misconception is that katara crushed on jet because he was the tall, good-looking “bad boy” archetype. while she did have an instant infatuation for jet because he was tall and good-looking, he was also brave, charming, and heroic and a natural leader to her - all components that katara’s described about aang throughout the series.

the depths of katara’s love for aang can be seen in the ways that she speaks about him:

if you believe that the ambiguity of katara’s feelings for aang is far too much for you to ship them, that’s fine by me. but at the same time I’ve seen people say that katara had feelings for haru just from one blush. or feelings for zuko from their conversation wherein they bonded over their mother’s deaths in crossroads of destiny. if the hug at the end of the southern raiders can be read as romantic by these same people, why not the many hugs, cheek kisses, face touches, and emotional reactions katara feels towards aang? i do have to believe that the reason why it’s so hard to view these as romantic for people is because aang does not look the part of the stereotypical romantic lead, ie he’s bald, younger than katara, and shorter than her.

I’ve always been confused about Michael Waldron’s quote about Stephen “embracing that darkness” in relation to him using the dark hold as the only way to save America. And him getting the third eye because of it.

Does this mean Stephen has control over this new power and has accepted it. I always thought the third eye is the real manifestation of the eye of agamotto?

I'm not familiar with that Waldron quote, but honestly, whatever he says about Doctor Strange doesn't really interest me.

For what I got from the movie, Strange had the third eye as a curse for using the Darkhold. Just like Sinister Strange had it too. But our Strange had no dark fingers, like Sinister or Wanda or Supreme Strange. But these last 2 didn't have the third eye either! So, unless i missed something, i blame to Marvel´s inconsistency.

He seems to be controlling it? 🤔🤷 At the end of the movie he looks like the eye it's burning him alive, and by the post credit scene he's like "I don't even notice I have a third eye" there’s a lot we should have seen there, in the middle!

How do you think Duke would fare in the Zombot apocalypse?

Whoops, this ask got very buried. Uhhh well, I recently answered stuff relating to this here, but since you asked, let's take a close look at Duke's side of the Metal Virus!

Okay, so as I said, Duke stays as Restoration HQ for most of the apocalypse. He does his best to be helpful to everyone, hanging out with Cream to cheer her up after Cheese and Chocola get infected, and keeping Amy company when she's holed up in her office for hours. Whenever Scourge gets back from a mission, the brothers spend as much time with each other as they can. Lots of snuggles away from prying eyes.

When the outbreak at HQ happens, Duke is up with Cream, delivering cookies to Amy. When all chaos breaks lose, Duke isn't sure what to do. He tries to head for the shuttle, but he's caught in the crowd and ends up getting grabbed by a zombot. He screams for help, but no one hears. He screams for Scourge, but he's not there. It isn't until just after the survivors leave in the shuttle that Amy and Cream realize Duke isn't with them.

What was your inspiration for The View From Up There? (Greatly enjoyed the comic, by the way!!)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I think my inspiration came 50/50 from The Fantasy Genre and personally being in the mountains a lot. I'm a fantasy lover through and through so I always knew that'd be the genre, it was just a matter of what was happening within it. I thought about fantasy genre conventions and tropes and ways I could put a bit of a spin on them. I wanted to play around with it!

On the other side, I drew a lot of inspiration from mountaineering films/books or caving videos, plus my own bit of back-country skiing experience (I was also working a day job at a ski resort most of the time I was working on the comic lol). I live in the Rockies and spend a lot of my free time Out There, so I wanted to bring some of that to the comic. I could make a hiker's guide to View with all the spots that I mentally pulled as reference/insp lol.

Thinking about high altitude and mountain environments, and conventions of the Genre kinda came together in a perfect storm, and that gives us the view from up there!

a brief inspiration/reading list is: Into the Mind (a ski movie from the studio Sherpas Cinema) and the Earthsea books by Ursula K. LeGuin
