it seems that an analysis of my hq fav is on the order tonight... may i present to you... kageyama tobio, the king of my heart <33 (i love him so much it's not funny)

let see...

tobio's started off with such a complex character and backstory, he loves volleyball, having learnt it from his grandfather with his elder sister, and after she stops playing it, i think it becomes his only connection to his grandfather when he passes away :( (please i have such grandparental trauma like tobio no one touch me)

so he holds on to it, believing in his grandfather's words that someone better will come along if he keeps playing (besides his passion and love for volleyball ofc) then we see hinata entering his life, having the guts to challenge him and calling him out on his mistakes even though he's nowhere near as good as tobio. we see this happen, and other characters, even though they are more skilled than hinata, does not know how to nitpick with kageyama, so! hinata is his someone better who finally came along

backtracking for a bit here, we also see him get mad at hinata after their first competition in middle school, because he was upset about what hinata had been doing all this time, when hinata had the talent, why hadn't he found him sooner?

hinata's offhanded comment during the practice match against date tech was soooo important to tobio's growth and acceptance of himself. something along the lines of "what's wrong if kageyama becomes the king of the court again? personally if i didn't like what kageyama tells me i'm just gonna ignore him"

hinata showed tobio that it's fine to be himself, to demand things from his hitters, to be crowned the king of the court once again and be proud of it. of course, now he is learning to also take in consideration the state of his teammates, and to say things in a better tone to get his point across rather than just exploding at his teammates!

but before hinata said this, he didn't think it was acceptable for him to demand his hitters to do better, because in his experience, it only led him to damnation when his kitagawa daiichi teammates abandoned him on the court. but now! he learns that it's okay to speak his mind, and ask more of them, as long as he can do it in a better way so he can get his point across effectively!!

i'm gonna stop right there before i even go to the nekoma vs karasuno spring tournament match HAHAHAAHA

in conclusion i love kageyama tobio so much </3

sorry it took me a minute to get to this, when I say I was unmotivated...I mean I slept all day lol. Either inbox would have been fine :) YES OURAN!!!!! I love Ouran deeply, I'm so sad it only got one season <//3 I think I watched it in elementary with one of my friends. Kyoya is my favorite hehe, yes, this transfers to a lot of other shows and games. There's a reason Zayne in love and deepspace is my favorite lol. a/n: I have not been in a writing mood but it is my husbands birthday so he shall have a drabble bcs I love him so <33 also thank you sav and ave for some of the ideas I have in this hehe <33

“Did you pack the sandwiches?” 

“Yes, did you pack the cupcakes my love?” He asks as his arms circle around her waist. In front of her is a picnic basket with a carefully folded blanket on top. The basket was a present from their friends, Kita the day prior, to get the best use out of it they decided to have a picnic for Osamu’s birthday. 

“Oh, this is giving me flashbacks.” She smiles as she turns her head to look at him, his head resting on her shoulder. She gives his cheek a gentle kiss and can feel him smile as he hums softly. “If we don’t leave soon the food will get cold before we can enjoy it.”

“Shhh…” he holds her closer and continues to hum softly. “It’s my birthday, I can get away with a few more moments of holding you. I’m not used to this.”

“My love, we’ve been together for how many years now?” She laughs and presses another kiss to his cheek. “Every year I take off and spend the day with you, what do you mean you aren’t use to it?”

“I’ll never get used to it. My heart still beats as fast as it did on our first date.” He kisses her shoulder and gives her a squeeze as they sway gently. 

“Mhm, ‘Samu, we have to get going. Come on birthday boy.” He huffs as she starts pulling away but keeps a hold on her hand and follows her out the door. It’s a short walk from their home to the park, despite both of them having the day off, their day started early. Being used to waking up at early hours of the morning they couldn’t force themselves to sleep past nine. They arrived at the park a little past noon. After spreading the blanket out on the grass and laying out the contents of the basket they leaned against each other and took a moment. 

“This is nice, thank you for doing this for me.” He leans his chin on top of her head and wraps an arm around her waist, his thumb rubbing up and down over the fabric of her clothes. She smiles and leans against him further.

“Of course, I would do anything for you, my love. We should see if the carving we did is still here.” She can feel his chest move up and down as he laughs. “What? What’s so funny?”

“I thought you were worried about the food getting cold?”

“Not right now, after we eat. The dessert should last longer than the food.”

“Whatever you want.”

“It’s your birthday.”

“All I need is to be with you.”

for the event, i want to yap about a situation within one of my favorite franchises (jurassic park). so there was this guy, john ostrom, paleontologist. he named the deinonychus and was super vital bringing about the dinosaur renaissance and even helped bring about the debate on if dinosaurs are ancestors of reptiles.

anyways, michael crichton (author of jurassic park), was totally inspired by these things. described them fairly well to the time’s understanding of dinosaurs (since feathers weren’t widely known back then). and this is because he worked closely with john to describe the dinosaurs for his novel (the movies also apparently looked towards his findings).

however, in the end, he chose VELOCIRAPTOR because it sounded ‘dramatic’. he apologized to john and everything, but yeah velociraptors aren’t the size they are in the movie… because they’re not velociraptors! (deinonychus could get up to three meters long including their feathered tails)

that’s my fun fact of the day for you :)
