JOBLESS & HOMELESS, BUT ALL SMILES & SUNSHINE
Hi there! My name is Almira Rezaimalek and I’m here to share my story. 
I know firsthand what it feels like to be so fucking fearful to do this that it nearly kills you. I also know firsthand what it feels like to have this uncontrollable need to just share everything you’ve experienced with the whole world. Pretty sure my resistance to do so is what dragged me down that dark, hopeless hellhole I was in fairly recently. Maybe I’ll revisit that at a more appropriate time or you can read my previous blogs to get a feel for where I came from- fear to be Almira and angry at the world around me. #noshame
I have attempted to do this 3 times now, the first two were epic failures so I feel pretty damn good about mustering up the courage to do this again! Yeah, I failed, but what’s important are the lessons learned during that process. 
You might love what I have to say or you might think I’m full of shit and I’m cool with that. 
So, I’ve got this thing for science, health and fitness- expect this from me. They are so intimately intertwined, but they couldn’t be further apart in real-life. Major culture clash! But I believe so strongly in bridging the gap between the scientific community, the healthcare industry and the fitness world.
HOW? By simply communicating with intersecting arenas and like-minded human beings. We can do a lot by initiating dialogue.
WHY? I want more of us to be conscious of our health. I want more of us to care enough to learn how  to make better-informed decisions about what we consume. I want more of us to care enough to learn and understand why being physically active is one of the best things you can do for yourself and everyone around you. I want more of us to take the responsibility to better ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally- this is my dream! 
I recently declined an offer to a very stable and promising career with a biotech company that would have put me back in the healthcare industry because I knew deep down inside it was just another distraction to keep me from doing what I truly want to do. Sure, I have 3 degrees and a ridiculous amount of experience and accolades that made this Intra-operative Neurophysiologist position appear like the dream job, but it just didn’t feel right and I trusted that feeling. The result of this has left me jobless and homeless, but also incredibly motivated to pursue my dream of raising peoples’ consciousness to health-related issues and possibly beyond that. 
What good is it to be mentally, physically and spiritually on-point all alone? Share that shit! Share the knowledge! Share the wisdom! Spread the love! Inspire and enlighten because we need each other.
Here’s how I’m taking action to live out this dream of mine. Lead by example! I have decided and committed to throwing myself back into the rigorous physical training and healthy eating habits I used to religiously live by as a competitive athlete, so expect this from me. Everything I do will be documented and shared with you through the many portals of social media, which I still find quite daunting and frustrating at times, but whatever, action cures fear right? 
Everything I accomplished before, I did alone. This time I’m collaborating with a personal trainer who is by my side guiding, observing and critiquing my every mother fucking move! You will get my workout split, my cardio schedule, and my diet and supplement plan.

I spent my 20′s mastering the structured-life; I was never without direction and a detail-oriented plan to get me there successfully. Sure, it resulted in all this personal and professional growth and development, but the inevitable establishment of a routine became incredibly monotonous and mentally crippling.
I’ve always been one who needs constant stimulation to thrive and that’s really the only ‘thing’ I need right now to navigate my voyage- I want to explore, discover and experience unfamiliarity. 
Clearly, I’m not riding solo on this mental-trip; this guy not only says it well, he’s doing it well!

Increased the duration and intensity of the same workout I did last week- I went from 60min to 90min and level 6 to level 7on the Stairmaster. When you’re talking about almonds, “raw” may not mean what you think.
All California almonds — which would be virtually all the almonds in the country — are either heat-pasteurized or treated with a fumigant. The processes, which have been required by law since 2007, are intended to prevent foodborne illness. But almond aficionados say the treatments taint the flavor and mislead consumers.
In a warehouse near Newman, Calif., run by the Cosmed Group, millions of almonds are heated in huge metal containers. The temperature inside the chambers gradually rises to 165 degrees Fahrenheit. The goal is to ensure through steam pasteurization that the almonds don’t carry bacteria from the fields to consumers.
