Stop making resolutions, stop blaming the 'year 2016'.
Its almost the end of the year and we’re all ‘reflecting’ at the end of another 365 days.
At the beginning of 2016 I made the decision to not set a list of resolutions to accomplish by the end of the year because quite frankly setting such resolutions for the end of the year only sets you up for failure. Instead, I decided that each morning I wake up I will write a list of things to accomplish…

Dangal - Review
Dangal - Review | @aamir_khan @utvfilms @Disney #Dangal #DangalReview
Do you remember fifteen years ago sitting at the edge of your seat feeling all sorts of nervousness while watching the 2001 Aamir Khan film Lagaan? Today I had the same exact feeling while sitting in the theater fifteen years later watching his film Dangal.
The Nitesh Tiwari directed film Dangal, was an exemplifying film for the end of the year and no doubt is definitely on of 2016’s best films.

There year is coming to an end and its time to begin recapping on some of the best moments, movies, and songs this year! I have to start off with music though because this year has been a truly melodious year of tracks and I just can’t stop listening to some of them. Befikre - Review
#Befikre - Review | @RanveerOfficial @Vaaniofficial @yrf @befikrethefilm
From Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, to Mohabbatein, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and now Befikre- director Aditya Chopra has showcased love in various ways since his first classic unforgettable film DDLJ.
Today’s film though was a tough one to see. To sum up my general thoughts…the first half of the film was flavorless, exhausting and simply not appealing. The second half kept me at this, “oh its getting…

Dear Zindagi - Review
Dear Zindagi - Review | @aliaa08 @gauris @iamsrk @RedChilliesEnt @DharmaMovies
I just got back from watching one of the most beautiful pieces of work my eyes have ever laid on. Reviewing a film like Dear Zindagi almost is impossible to do. But I feel so fortunate to be part of the generation of Indian Cinema that is bringing such films to the big screen and I am here today to watch such a film.
Gauri Shinde is a storytelling godess. Indian Cinema is well known for its…

Thankful for this life.
Thankful for this life. | #Thanksgiving #IAmThankfulFor #life #holiday #blogpost
I feel like a stranger on my own blog, and its unfortunate I have to say this. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and for the first time my family (my mom, brother, Nalah-my dog, and I) are going to be celebrating Thanksgiving away from home for the first time with just us four. What’s exciting for me though is I get to host them in my little house in Wilmington.
Right now as I write this, I should be…

How to survive in this world?
How to survive in this world? | #HappyElectionDay
In a little less than 24 hours we will have a new president in the United States and all I have to say to that is: God Bless America (insert a lot of praying emojis).
This post though is not about politics or world events, its simply about you. You waking up, starting your day and following your daily schedule. You who may face some days where you simply wish you did not have to listen to the…

I cannot stress enough and say that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is most definitely Karan Johar’s best film till date. If Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was your first favorite Hindi film you ever laid your eyes on, then there is a high chance you may have fallen in love with director Karan Johar a whole lot more after seeing Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Everything in life is really complicated, but there is no doubt love in this day-n-age is one of the most complicating feeling to grasp onto. Today’s generation most definitely has trouble falling in love, and when we do it becomes difficult to fall out of it or face the complications it brings to us. In today’s world most have broken the concept of a’ guy and girl being best friends as well.’
“Love is passion, and friendship is peace.”
This dialogue has resonated within me after I walked out of today’s extremely Filmy-Friday-Film. And its this dialogue, and much, much more that I just thoroughly enjoyed watching this evening. Like any Karan Johar film, ADHM was visually beautiful and attractive. But its not over the top like what we have expierenced in past Kjo films, this time it is a pinch of suave and lot’s of beautifully written dialogues that have layers of meaning behind them. In fact every little or big moment in the film had a justified reasoning behind it, and it only all comes together towards the end that will leave you with a smile on your face and tears sitting at the lid of your eyes.
What I loved the most about ADHM was the bittersweetness that was conveyed through every scene in the film. In one second you are laughing and the other you have a moment to think and then to brush it off you feel like getting up and dancing to the extremely catchy tunes like The Break Up Song or Cutiepie! If you are a film-buff and I mean you enjoy old Hindi songs and you enjoy the 90s music and can still fall in love with Arijit Singh’s timeless voice, then there is a high chance you will enjoy the filmy-ness of ADHM. Kjo did not spare us away from reminding us of unforgettable moments from his past films, and some other classic Hindi films, but without overdoing it he just added the right hint of Bollywood-ness. A person like myself loved every moment of it.
Where do I begin with the cast of the film?! Mind blowing, sexy, comical, emotional, and picture perfect. There is no doubt a cast like Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the hottest trio I’ve seen ever on-screen together…the performance portrayed on the big-screen swept me towards the edge of my seat as each scene appeared on-screen.
If I had to select three fine performances by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan the first would be Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, secondly Provoked, and third Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Anushka Sharma on the other hand never fails to exceed the audience expectations every time in her films, and I hope she doesn’t stop all that she does. Ranbir Kapoor, I am aware those who know me know how biased this entire review may sound because of how passionate I feel about every performance by Ranbir. I know I am a total fan girl over him, but its not just about his looks… Ranbir is an actor and he is a good actor. A story of a film may suck, but he never fails to get into full-on character and do his part. From dancing in a towel, to Ayan in ADHM- just wow! The chemistry between Ranbir-Anushka vs the chemistry between Ranbir-Aishwarya were two total different entities and set of emotions for the actors to portray and I think Karan Johar did a spectacular job at writing these emotions within the characters.
There is no Karan Johar film without some beautiful special appearances, but this time there was true reasoning behind each special appearance character. From Fawad Khan to Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan I loved seeing all of them appear briefly making some sort of impact on the story of the film.
If you did not enjoy the film, you had to have at least enjoyed the music of the film. Pritam is a music god for creating such a soundtrack. Lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya his written such beautiful lyrics it seriously touches every emotional point. And the lead voice behind ADHM Arijit Singh- well there truly are no words to describe this one-of-a-kind artist. The soundtrack of ADHM is the single puzzle piece of the film that makes it whole.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil totally swooned me. As soon as the film ended I turned to my mom and said I want to watch it again. I am fully wrapped into the world of Karan Johar all over again and as a filmmaker-in-the-making I have become extremely motivated to work with this living legend in the near future.
A New Girl in a City’s review of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is
I hate to pick and choose what my favorite song of the film is, but there’s no doubt Channa Mereya has been on repeat since it released!
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil - Review | @karanjohar @AnushkaSharma @DharmaMovies @AeDilHaiMushkil @foxstarhindi #ADHMThisFriday I cannot stress enough and say that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is most definitely Karan Johar's

Single Living: I think I have FOMO!
Single Living: I think I have FOMO! | A little Single Living update! #SingleLiving #FOMO
If I had to describe my life right now in one word it would be ‘bittersweet’.
Last weekend I escaped the small beach town and drove over to Charlotte, NC to soak up some buildings and city life. Don’t get me wrong, I love where I live right now, but this city girl needs her buildings and chaos once in awhile and it was truly the best timing for me to make this trip.
If you want to check out…
