(for breakfast!) 1) Eggs (any style)🥚🍳 Definitely my #1 and favorite staple. Having eggs is one of the best ways to start your day, and if possible, try mixing in some veggies. 2) Greek Yogurt 🥛 Get plain greek yogurt and add in your own mix-ins. Some examples are a dribble of 💧honey, maple syrup, or a handful of some fruit (I like berries- especially if you are looking to get leaner). 🚫Skip the granola....unless you made it at home with your own nuts/seeds...otherwise, you are adding more sugar (from the store bought granola mixture) than what you probably even need! 3) Protein Shake 🥛 Quick and easy is the name of the game here. Having a high quality protein shake is going to be a great way to break your fast! 🌟The brand of protein isn't as important as the ingredients are! Choose the protein that works best FOR YOU!🌟 (Min Protein= 23grams, max carbs= 5 to 7 grams, max fat = up to 3 grams is what I recommend you look for on the label) Need MORE healthy fat in your diet? Add in 1-2 tsp of almond/ peanut butter🥜 or 2 oz of avocado🥑for more creamy goodness! These are three of my go-to meals that I recommend for breaking your fast. Plus... They are quick and easy to make and can be packed to take on the go with you... So many women STILL believe that eating somewhere between 1,200 and 1,400 calories a day is the ideal number that “should” be sustained for weight loss, despite there being NO scientific literature showing that’s the case. Not one study. And....although they're eating the minimum, they aren't seeing ANY changes anymore. In fact, that's about the minimum about your body needs to simply exist and carry out its processes, and not actually move. . To the health and fitness “experts” who continue to perpetuate this myth: Please go home. You're DRUNK. 👉🏾Continuing to follow their advice can lead to serious nutrient deficiencies, thyroid and adrenal issues, and mental and emotional stress.....unless it's WORKING for you....(you feel great, losing weight, etc), then, disregard this ENTIRE post! . Long-term energy deficits are seen by the body as a stressor, and as a result, the body adapts by slowing down your metabolism, increasing your desire for food in the brain, and holding on to any ounce of food you eat..meaning...you store what's not needed. Your body wants to do everything it can to keep you ALIVE. ⚠️ A healthy body is fed, full of nutrients, and at a weight that is right for YOUR body. . By feeding your body what it needs (ESPECIALLY when working out and pursuing fitness goals), and reducing the overall stress your body is exposed to, you allow your body to be in balance. The majority of women need at a minimum.....1800 to 2000+ depending on your current weight and activity. Fact: When your body is fed, it operates appropriately and allows you to be capable of all the things you want to look and feel like. . And 1,400 calories? Well, if you’re three years old, that’s works great. P.S. Keep telling yourself and me..."but that's too much food" and then consider the alternative....believe and try something different or continue complaining about the excess fat you're lugging around. . I'm "trying to lose weight" but my friends invited me out to eat at restaurant and I'm nervous about going because I don't know what to eat without "gaining"!😫 Does this sound familiar? I 💜 Mexican food and this is what I often choose when I go to a Mexican restaurant...chicken fajitas with veggies (grilled zucchini, squash, broccoli, carrots, bell peppers and onions) ....even though they brought the rice, I decided to eat (2) fajitas with tortillas & charro beans...then mixed the guacamole and pico with the rest of my fajitas and was COMPLETELY satisfied. 👉🏾If you have a hard time eating "just a few" chips, I don't recommend you indulge in the free chips and salsa. It's free for your wallet, not ya hips though! If you know when to "say when", do your thang, boo! One day she just woke up different....after many many months & years.......of working on her mindset. . If you only knew how much work I've had to do (still a work in progress) to OVERRIDE the negative narratives that I used to believe about myself....you'd maybe understand why FAILURE IS ALWAYS AN OPTION....cause I get to learn & make adjustments, but QUITTING ISN'T AN OPTION. The mindset is the engine behind any transformation and when we ATTEMPT to skip that part, we'll revert back to what's familiar & comfortable...positive to everyone else.....with a negative mindset within, excessive unhealthy eating habits, self sabotaging ourselves instead of what allows us to transform from the inside out. . Never underestimate what food & personal development that helps you thrive & reach your goals, proper progressive training and rest can do for your well-being!
