Crazy June
Bebe and I are going nuts about what diets to try in June. She wants to desperately shed a few pounds, while I want to tone and be healthy . She ended up finding se crazy diet that calls for her eating vanilla ice cream, but bitches claim that shit made them lose mad weight. Here's the thing though: the Internet LIES. Oh I hope to God that this works and she doesn't end up gaining a ton of weight instead. As is, she eats for an army and her idea of exercise is doing an interval routine for ten minutes and then bragging to me how she just burned 8,000 calories. Probably this mentality led to the weight gain in the beginning, but oh well. Not my body=not my problem, as for me, I just want to go on an all raw diet. Raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, and grains. In my mind, yoga should definitely be paired with this routine, along with more cardio. My goal is to walking at least 25miles a day on the treadmill cause that would be awesomeEeeeeEeEeEE; I never exceeded 2.7miles though 馃槓 Clearly disappointment clouds my life.

Vegan Mayonnaise
Patricia here...super disappointed. Not only did my blender die this week, but my vegan mayo was a flop as well. I don't know what went wrong, aside from the fact that its super runny. Well...not super. It kind of has a little thickness to it; enough to kinda whip an imprint in the batter. Of course without my blender I was left doing this by hand with my handy-dandy whisk. I whisked for close to an hour and it refused to get thick on me. Hmph. Still, it's placed in the fridge and I'm hoping that it'll jello-up to mayo consistency, but my darling wife, Tai, assures me that is not how it works. Guess we will have to try this again in the near future.

My daily endeavor for today, spontaneous and big...drum roll....ALMOND BUTTER. OhmyGiz this is AHMAZING. Too bad I can't make more on account that my blender decided to crap out when I was moving on to making vegan mayo. Sad :/ I'm seeing a new blender in my near future. After all, Bebe's birthday is coming up (;

Today, I did some heavy duty grocery shopping (not considered much for American standards, but for Macau standards it is). My trolly cart that I strolled around with was literally overflowing. Honestly, shopping here is such a pain since I am vehicle-less, that I never want to do it everrrrr. But enough with being glum about my troubled-first-world life; can you believe I got all of this for just around $46USD!? Crazy! Mind you, only a small bit of my purchased goods are edible, but I think I did good.

Food Update
Recently I've talked Tai into becoming a vegan with me. It was murderous to hear this girl complain that she is dying because of veganism, so she has since transitioned into a vegetarian. As for me, I will keep this veganism going as long as possible. At first, I did think it was impossible to eat vegan in Southeast Asia, where literally, NO restaurant serves vegetarian, (let alone vegan), options, but it's not so bad after all. I'm learning that if I can't find my vegan products in the store, e.g. Vegan mayo and lovely dessert treats, just to make those things on my own. I suppose it's better that way; at least I know what's going into my food now and I really have cut down on processed shit. Simply feelin' great (: now...if only I can start incorporating some yoga into my daily rituals.

A friend of ours was celebrating her newborn's 100 days of life, as well as his Baptism. Now, I know it's been a long overdue blog post...but Tai and I have been very busy. Trying our hardest to keep up with this...in hopes that someone out there is reading it.

11 Loads Backed-Up
Since Macao weather has decided to turn crummy and stay crummy for the past month or so, drying my clothes outside on the rack has become nearly impossible. Even when they are damp and we bring our clothes inside, they remain damp for too long a period, they develop a smell. A musty, old, moldy smell. It's unpleasant.聽
BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE BECAUSE MY NEW DEHUMIDIFIER HAS ARRIVED TODAY AND IT IS EQUIPPED WITH A LAUNDRY OPTION.聽
Never been so happy to clean clothes in my entire life.聽

Dinner in HongKong is a Nightmare
Apparently, nothing stays open late in Hong Kong, and this includes pretty much all HK restaurants. Which sucks. Taira and I spent well over an hour getting lost and asking locals for directions to any open shop that offered nourishment in the form of food. We were so desperate for something to eat at 11pm that we took the advice and directions of a drunk guy. Luckily, fate was on our side and we found a pizza place that served vegetarian options!聽YAY!聽
Tumblr media
I ate a ceasar salad with a bite of spinach ravioli, the crust off a four-cheese pizza, and consumed a half a litre of beer. Taira had basically everything I had, minus the beer, plus an iced tea, and garlic knots.聽

Paul Lafayet
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few hours after lunch, shopping, and getting lost briefly in Causeway Bay, Taira and I finally found the famous聽Paul Lafayet Caf茅. They have a wide selection of desserts not available in Macau Tower, thus we indulged.聽
Our macaroon flavors included Pistachio, Maccha, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Bailey's and gosh, they were exquisite! They were all flavorful and the vanilla, especially, resonates with me!
But you can't go to聽Paul Lafayet聽Patisserie without trying their specialty desserts, which are raved about most...hence why we also bought a serving of Chocolate Mousse and Chocolate Craquelin.聽
I'm not one for dark chocolate desserts, but Taira was boasting about it's chocolate-packed flavor within the first bite and gosh, it was actually quite delicious! The mousse was also light and delightful, although it was not nearly as good as my vanilla macaroon!
Paul Lafayet is a bit pricey, but if you're seeking sweets that not only taste amazing, but聽satisfy聽every ounce of your being, we recommend you pay a visit to Causeway Bay.
