This cake look delicious

Every time I walked pass a Chateraise Singapore outlet, I couldn’t resist the urge to peek at their range of beautifully crafted confections. Every cake or tart look so mouthwatering delish, begging to be bought and consumed.

This dainty Real Grape Cake (S$6.50) look so exquisite and enticing that I can’t help but open my wallet to pay for it. Digging in with the spoon, the grape flavoured nappage splits open almost resembling the peel of a grape. Below it is the grape mousse, fresh cream and syrup soaked aloe vera. All these sitting on a vanilla sponge with a thin layer of blackcurrant framboise sauce on an almond tart. Both glaze and mousse had a very pleasant real taste of champagne grape plus the added chewy texture of the aloe vera. I am glad that the tart shell is not soggy from all the moisture as the sponge cake layer shielded it. As to why this is called a cake, I have no idea as this obviously is a tart. Cake or tart, there is no denying it was a satisfying sweet treat! Yum…
