HECK YES! I am all in on anything Rebels-related (I need to see my live-action found-family like yesterday), but I'm going to out myself as someone that had to Google who Zuckuss was (I'M SORRY, MY STAR WARS DEGREE IS NOT IN BOUNTY HUNTERS. For the fic WIP ask game--I'm quite intrigued by the Honor Guard Ball story!

So, as you’ve probably guessed, it’s part of the Lasan Series and stars a young Zeb. This is his first time taking Shulma (OC) to the annual Honor Guard Ball. At the same time, however, his comrade Velibor (OC borrowed from @spacemomcreations ), who considers himself the Ashla’s gift to females, has been crimping Zeb’s style by bragging about his own (Velibor’s) surprise date, who turns out to be one of the royal princesses of Lasan. I have been stuck on trying to come up with some kind of humorous crisis that happens to everyone during the ball—preferably involving fruit, as I am trying to work in the two prompts “dance” and “fruit” from a challenge I opted into some years ago.

Well, if this isn’t the sweetest little message! Thanks, Caity. I know JIG feels the same way about you. She tells me how you’ve listened to her, helped her, and encouraged her when so many of her other so called friends abandoned her. You were always there for her during the hardest years of her life, unlike so many others, and she is so grateful for your support and friendship.

While I appreciate the thanks, and am touched by it, it’s just part of who I am and my life now. I am honored to take care of JIG and be there for her through everything. She is my love, my life, and my world, and I’ll do anything for her. But thank you again for your support of JIG and our relationship, we both do appreciate it.

And to answer your inquiry about Nori, yes! I have met Nori! Nori is a lovely young lady. She is a very close friend of our oldest children Varina and Vera, and she gets along very well with the boys too (probably after dealing with that twin brother of hers: it helps her know how twins and boys work, ha!).

Honestly, I kinda see Nori as something of a daughter figure and a kindred spirit. She is a twin like I was, and seeing her relationship with her brother brings back so many fond memories of the times Zeb and I shared together while he was alive. So, speaking with her and interacting with her is actually very special to me!

P.S. Please know if you ever come our way we’d love to meet you, I’ll personally send a Zachbot to serve as your escort upon your arrival.

Even though you might think Captain Z took the initiative, it was definitely something she didn't really think about because WAR and so much other stuff going on. So of course Rampart asked her descretely and in private because this man is a bit old fashioned and just thought it was the right thing to do. The captain never thought she would marry especially not in this time and first laughed about it. Rampart was instantly offended because what the hell is funny about marrying him? But then she immediately said yes.

Introducing Boza Eldar, heir to House Eldar!

(Sorry, I got a little editing-happy with some of them.)

Now, regarding his clothing style, since Boza's a Mandalorian, I knew from the get-go that designing him in armor wasn't going to work. However, when I came across the options I used above, I realized that I could easily try and show him in a "body glove", though I had to make do with the gloves and shoes. The belt...actually fits on its own. I chose this pose to give the idea of Boza working out in the early morning, and I tried to show in his expression that he's a rather smiley fellow who isn't easily ruffled even in mock combat. As for his given name, well, let me explain that before attempting to whip up his backstory:

Boza was named, and made in honor of, Chadwick Boseman.

Four years ago, Mr. Boseman was sadly taken from the world. Many were left heartbroken and sad, most of all his family. Unbeknownst to the public until his passing, Mr. Boseman had been suffering from cancer since the late stages of Captain America: Civil War's finishing production, at least. He did not share it with anyone outside of his family, and fought it just as hard as the Black Panther would have.

On a more personal note about the late actor, I want to extend my thanks to him in this tribute. Long before he was cast in the role, the Black Panther, also known as Prince/King T'Challa, was always a favorite character of mine. I briefly saw him in Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes, and then sporadically in Avengers Assemble. However, my greatest introduction to the character and his backstory was brought to life by Mr. Boseman. Truly, watching him in the theater as Black Panther felt like watching my favorite side Avenger come to life and step into the real world. Mr. Boseman played the character just as poised, regal, ferocious, and honorable as I had come to know and expect of the character. In hindsight, his part of the film riveted my attention almost as much, if not to the same degree, as the story of Cap and Bucky. I was much happier for his portrayal of T'Challa than I would have guessed, and perhaps more than I realize now. And for that, I am eternally grateful he was offered and accepted the role, for without him, my experience with both the film and the character would be much duller, and my memories of the old MCU would not be nearly as bright.

Rest in peace, Chadwick Boseman. You have earned it, and may you continue your adventures as the Black Panther in Heaven.

Boza Eldar was born the sole heir to his House in the Mandalore System. The Eldars are renowned for their prowess in martial arts, and their ability to use their words as weapons in the political games of the galaxy. As the only direct heir to the House, Boza studied across the System to learn battle strategy, martial arts, languages, politics, technology, the arts, and much more. However, during his studies, he became more and more suspicious of the Empire's motives, causing him to dig into their works in his off time - which he did not often have. Realizing the true nature of the Empire, Boza was prepared to take the matter up with his parents about pushing back when news of Sabine Wren blowing the whistle on the Empire after her tenure in the Academy spread through the System. Not long after, Sabine was accused of being a traitor to Mandalorian society, and a coward for running from her people and "justice".

Despite the people's distaste for the "runaway Wren", Boza, impressed by her courage to say anything against the Empire, was inspired to slowly build up a secretive group of Mandalorians to combat the Empire someday. His parents helped him set up the network, though it was mostly conducted through intelligence gathering and occasional "heists" that disrupted the Empire's work and transports. Despite this, the atmosphere was still tense, which grew worse as rumors of a rogue Mandalorian outside the System was wrecking havoc and combating the Empire grew - and that she was a Jedi. Although Gar Saxon insisted the rumors were Rebel propaganda and censored all information regarding his work into recent Mandalorian "traitors", Boza knew this was no coincidence.

Although he had no particular love for the Jedi, Boza's studies of history involved Tarre Vizsla, and how the Mandalorian Jedi brought peace and unified the Clans and made them the powerful Sector that they now are. There were no Jedi from his line or any other in three thousand years, and yet now, not only has a member of a prominent Clan taken a stand against the Empire, but the first Mandalorian Jedi since Tarre has appeared, standing against the Emperor by her sheer existence. If the rumors about her were true, and if she and Sabine Wren were both working for this "Rebel Alliance", then that could only mean one thing:

The Mandalore System must go to war against the Empire.

Boza's family has their own religious view of what the Jedi call the Force, and he is certain that the appearance of a Jedi Mandalorian is a sign that they must unite once again, lest they be crushed. He, Sabine, and this rogue are children, but they can lead in a firefight, or inspire others to take up arms and combat the Empire. They must grow into these roles, for their people depend on them.

When Lady Bo-Katan Kryze returns with her own army of Mandalorians and wielding the Darksaber, Boza wastes no time in bringing his forces to supply her lost troops. Working with her, he finds himself assigned as a field commander alongside none other than Sabine Wren herself. Despite her still stained image in Mandalorian society, Boza cannot help but find her intriguing. They fight well together, are evenly matched in a fight (though they each have a tendency to "lose" a match to the other), and understand their respective interests in art. Where Sabine is colorful and expressive with her artwork (both with and without explosives involved), Boza prefers sculpting. He likes to work with his hands, and it helps calm nerves and distracts from the severity of the war. Although it is joked about often, others pointing to Boza allowing Sabine to paint his sculptures and figurines as the moment she fell in love with him has much evidence going for it.

When the war is over and Mandalore has been freed from the Empire, Tristan has assumed his birthright as the new Count Wren while Sabine's younger twin sister, Sacha, has joined Fenn Rau's new Proctectors. However, both Boza and Sabine realize that even with her courage and loyalty to Mandalore being proven, most men will still avoid her due to old political wounds, not helped by the fact that even now, Tristan is arranging a marriage for himself to earn some additional support, as Clan Wren is still persona non grata, both from their time with Death Watch and Sabine's past actions reflecting on them. Despite that, Boza knows one man who doesn't care for that part of her past, and asks Sabine if she would accept his hand in marriage, offering Clan Wren the support and protection of House Eldar as a wedding gift as well.

Zeb swears the marriage was one of the biggest, and definitely the most colorful, that he's ever attended.

That's all, folks! Almost all of this is original on my end, save the name Eldar; although they're only known as Clan Eldar in the canon Star Wars universe, I decided to promote them to a House's standing in my take. I see Boza and Sabine having three kids, though I don't think either of them would mind a fourth - or even be unhappy with just two. I didn't have a place to put this, but I envision Boza having a pet "wolf cat". It's an actual named animal in Star Wars, though it has no official art - but I'm willing to imagine House/Clan Eldar's sigil is one....

So I started rewatching Star Wars Rebels a few weeks ago and oh boy I think my dormant Star Wars hyperfixation is no longer dormant but instead coming back full force - AND NOW I WANT TO SEE THESE DORKS GETTING KISSES GODDAMMIT

These are just the first few that came to my mind but there's more (it's just that it's half past 5am and my brain is soup), but I'd love to see some self-inserts (or OCs) being shipped with them! And even if you don't like Imperials you could also just make them defect with/for you😌

Garazeb Orrelios x Reader

Note: Okay, so this is my first ever fanfic. I have one more I wrote but haven’t revised it so idk if id actually post it. I highly doubt I'll ever write again; I just couldn’t help it. There are like one or two Zeb x reader fics out there. It should be neutral reader and I had the idea to make it my OC but figured it would be more accessible to make it an x reader Anyway, plz go easy idk how I feel about it.

The rhythmic thump of music reverberated through the crowded streets of Zeltron as Zeb strode purposefully alongside you. The vibrant colors of the diverse alien planet mingled in a kaleidoscope of celebration around them.

Zeb glanced over at you, his eyes studying your features before speaking. "You ready for this? These crowded places ain't exactly our usual scene."

You nodded, a small grin on your face. "I'm game, Zeb. Besides, it's a good change from our usual missions."

You maneuvered through the throng of partygoers, the aroma of exotic foods and the sounds of laughter filling the air. Zeb's eyes scanned the area, alert for any sign of trouble. He moves so his body walks closer with yours. "Stay close, this place might be lively, but it's easy to get lost in the chaos."

You nodded again as you glanced around at the alien revelers, fascinated by the diversity of species and customs. "It's incredible how different it is here. So many people celebrating together, all while the Empire rules the galaxy."

"Yeah, it's a melting pot, alright. But we're not here to party. We've got a job to do."

You followed his lead as he navigated through the maze of stalls and entertainers. Zeb's keen eyes darted around, ever watchful. "Keep your eyes peeled. Our contact could be anywhere in this chaos."

As you and Zeb made your way through, scanning faces for any sign of their contact, a figure caught your attention. A lithe and charismatic individual, waved you over.

"Over here, friends! I've been expecting you," the informant smiled widely. Zeb's furrowed brow betrayed a hint of unease as he kept a close eye on the interaction. He leads you both through a lounge, then to what looks like an office room. 

The informant stops at the door open and as you walk through he hovers his hand on the small of your back with his other arm extended to show you the way forward. "I must say, I'm pleased to have your company." 

It's much more quiet, there is a mirror wall behind the desk and shelves of trinkets litter the walls, almost like trophies. He takes a seat leaning back as far as he can with one elbow propped on the chair arm. He then motions for you both to sit across from him.

Zeb's fists tightened as he grumbled under his breath. "We're here for information, not to make friends."

You glance at Zeb, and also try to steer the conversation back to the mission. "Right. We need to know what you've heard about the Imperial shipments in this sector." 

His eyes look Zeb up and down, acknowledging his presence with a condescending smirk. "Ah the big, strong protector. I can see why you keep him around."

Zeb's patience wore thin but he maintained his composure, all while staring daggers at the man. "We don't have time for games. What do you know?" 

You understand he's a reliable informant for the rebellion so opting to not verbally degrade the slender man may be the better option. You decide to cross your arm and raise your brows expectantly.

The informant's previous demeanor diminished as he began relaying crucial details about Imperial activities in the sector. Zeb listened intently, his focus solely on the information being provided. As the conversation continued, Zeb's stance softened slightly, recognizing the value of the information despite his initial reservations about the man's behavior.

As you left the office, the atmosphere between you had shifted. While you were pleased to have secured valuable intel, you noticed Zeb's brooding silence.

"Zeb, everything alright?"

He grunted in response. "Just making sure we're not followed. Can't be too careful." But his gaze wasn’t too focused on the surroundings.

You aren’t satisfied with his response so you continue to pry. "But you seem a bit… off. Is something bothering you?"

Zeb's brow furrowed as he quickened his pace, trying to dismiss your concern. "Nothing's bothering me. Let's focus on getting back to the Ghost and log the intel."

As you both boarded the Ghost and settled in, Zeb sat on the curved cushions in the lounge busing himself with documenting the gathered intel on a holopad. His focus was intense, almost as if he was deliberately avoiding any and all conversation.

You thought it best to give him space and wait till he was finished. After some time the Lasat retreated into his quarters. You knock on the open doorway and lean against it.

"Zeb, seriously, what's going on?" you pressed gently. 

He sighed heavily while sitting up in his cot, his eyes meet yours briefly before finding the floor. "I... I just... wasn't too keen on the way that informant was behaving.” He sighs before admitting sharply, “I worry about you, okay.” 

You couldn’t help but smile. Zeb, known for his gruff exterior, rarely shared such sentiments openly. It was cute knowing he cared. "Zeb, I’ve been taking care of myself for a long time." 

His arms are now crossed and his eyes find the poster on the wall very interesting. "I know, but... I can’t help but feel like it's my job to protect you. It’s stupid, I know you can take care of-” He didn’t notice you walking toward him, you silenced him by placing a hand on his arm. Your touch is warm and comforting. When he gathers the courage to look, you are kneeling in front of him with a soft smile. Your eyes look wide with admiration.

“It’s my job to protect you too.”

Summary:

Now that the Death Star is destroyed, the Rebellion can take a breath for a moment before relocating to their new base on Hoth. And just in time for Life Day festivites.

Kallus thinks the world of Zeb, and isn't sure why he doesn't already have a date for Life Day. As a proper friend, he understands that he needs to help the handsome, funny, smart Lasat land the perfect date by the time Life Day arrives.

Zeb has always made peace with the fact that he wasn't ever going to have a meaningful Life Day date. But now, there seems to be interest from different Rebels on base, and Kallus is doing his best to set him up.

Now if only they could figure out why neither of their hearts are truly invested in this.

So... Ahsoka, episode four... I have some thoughts.

#1: Where the fuck was Zeb? I mean, this show is basically Rebels season five, but we couldn't bring Zeb in? We have the human X-Wing guy that's popped up all over the Mandoverse (Carson Teva), the guy Zeb has been shown to be working directly with, but we couldn't bring in Zeb for a cameo or something? I call bullshit.

#2: Marrok - honestly, with the way he was hyped up in the promos and behind-the-scenes material, I was expecting more, but here we are.

#3: Look, I get that Ahsoka is Dave's OC, his baby, but this is getting a little out of hand here. It took both Ezra and Sabine to figure out how to get into the World-Between-Worlds, it was a whole process, but Ahsoka just falls in accidentally? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see Hayden back as Anakin, but come on!

#4: We killed off Sabine's family off screen? Really?

I know TFA isn’t your cup of tea, so I’m very flattered that you are intrigued. I don’t have plans to read the comics, but I have been studying them via a systematic review on a discord server featuring lots of panels and many wiki pages. So I’m incorporating lots of elements and characters from it with my own twist. If it helps, Drift has officially joined the main cast.

I am glad to hear I have piqued your interest in the fandom. The first two seasons and the movie are on Netflix. This takes place after the movie. For context, there is a bad timeline and Casey came from that bad timeline to stop it from happening.

Donnie, the mad scientist brother, now knows time travel is possible and cannot rest until he recreates it.

However, doing so might kill his little brother Mikey, so he has to make a machine to help

To get his brothers to help, he talks about how people from the future bad timeline might be stuck in this state of limbo and the moral thing to do is to save them.

One problem: he doesn’t believe that. He just wants to prove he can do it.

But on a mission to get some tech to build the machines from big Mama, Mikey and Raph are captured. Raph is forced to fight in the Battle Nexus in exchange for Mikey’s safety.

Tensions back home rise as rescue attempts fail and Donnie refuses to admit he is at fault in any way for what happened.

It’s going to be angsty
