Good morning!
You wake up and you hear His voice.
Itâs loud but soothing.
Something that makes you roll your eyes with happiness because youâve learned it and itâs comforting.
His words are comforting yet stern.
You go with Him outside and you enjoy the feeling of the sun on your face.
You close your eyes and listen.
You hear the birds, the light breeze, and dogâs playing.
He reminds you that itâs all for you.
That you took a moment to be in His presence means everything to Him.
You sit down and take a thankful moment.
For the grass you feel between your toes, the heat of the sun, and everything in itâs perfect place and color.
You inhale the new and exhale any past mistakes.
You sit with Him in silence for a few moments.
Together you find the perfect devotional.
You read it and take in every word.
You pray.
You start your day with a renewal of your spirit.
With a smile and a song in your heart so sweet people will ask you about it.
You remind Him that it wonât end there.
You will take Him with you throughout your day.
You just need help.
Help that only He can provide.
You remind Him how things get hard and how forgetful you can be.
He reminds you.

"How to Life" Masterlist
Cleaning and Tidying
Make your bed in the morning. It takes seconds, and it's worth it.
Reset to zero each morning.
Use the UFYH 20/10 system for clearing your shit.
Have a 'drop-zone' box where you dump anything and everything. At the beginning/end of the day, clear it out and put that shit away.
Automate your chores. Have a cleaning schedule and assign 15mins daily to do whatever cleaning tasks are set for that day. Set a timer and do it once the timer is up, finish the task you're on and leave it for the day.
Fold your clothes straight out of the tumble dryer (if you use one), whilst they're still warm. This minimises creases and eliminates the need for ironing.
Clean your footwear regularly and you'll feel like a champ.
Organisation and Productivity
Learn from Eisenhower's Importance/Urgency matrix.
Try out the two-minute rule and the Pomodoro technique.
Use. A. Planner. (Or Google Calendar, if that's more your thing.)
Try bullet journalling.
Keep a notebook/journal/commonplace book to dump your brain contents in on the regular.
Set morning alarms at two-minute intervals rather than five, and stick your alarm on the other side of the room. It's brutal, but it works.
Set three main goals each day, with one of them being your #1 priority. Don't overload your to-do list or you'll hit overload paralysis and procrastinate.
If you're in a slump, however, don't be afraid to put things like "shower" on your to do list - that may be a big enough goal in itself, and that's okay.
Have a physical inbox - a tray, a folder, whatever. If you get a piece of paper, stick it in there and sort through it at the end of the week.
Consider utilising the GTD System, or a variation of it.
Try timeboxing.
Have a morning routine, and guard that quiet time ferociously.
Have a folder for all your important documents and letters, organised by topic (e.g. medical, bank, university, work, identification). At the front of this folder, have a sheet of paper with all the key information written on it, such as your GP's details, your passport details, driving licence details, bank account number, insurance number(s), and so on.
Schedule working time and down time alike, in the balance that works for you.
Money
Have. A. God. Damn. Budget.
Use a money tracker like toshl, mint, or splitwise. Enter all expenses asap! (You will forget, otherwise.)
Have a 'money date' each week, where you sort through your finances from the past seven days and then add it to a spreadsheet. This will help you identify your spending patterns and whether your budget is actually working or not.
Pack your own frickin' lunch like a grown-up and stop buying so many takeaway coffees. Keep snacks in your bag.
Food and Cooking
Know how to cook the basics: a starch, a protein, a vegetable, and a sauce.
Simple, one-pot meals ("a grain, a green, and a bean") are a godsend.
Batch cook and freeze. Make your own 'microwave meals'.
Buy dried goods to save money - rice and beans are a pittance.
Consider Meatless Mondays; it's healthier, cheaper, and more environmentally friendly.
Learn which fruits and vegetables are cheapest at your store, and build a standard weekly menu around those. (Also remember that frozen vegetables are cheap and healthy.)
Learn seasoning combinations. Different seasoning, even with the exact same ingredients, can make a dish seem completely new.
Misc
Have a stock email-writing format.
Want to start running, but find it boring? Try Zombies, Run!.
Keep a goddamn first aid kit and learn how to use it.
Update your CV regularly.
Keep a selection of stamps and standard envelopes for unexpected posting needs. (It happens more regularly than you would think!)

Little things to upgrade your morning routine


Always start your morning with a nice drink like a coffee, matcha, or tea.
Say good morning to your pets, you can also text your friends and maybe, make some plans!! <3
Set an alarm so you wake up on time and don't feel rushed, for me, it's usually enough to just sleep with my blinds open!! :)
Open your windows to let some fresh air in, also make sure to check if any of your plants need water!!
Make-up and music. I love doing my make-up while listening to one of my playlists, it's the perfect way to set the mood <3
Positive affirmations!! You can write them on sticky notes and put them on your mirror so you'll see them while getting ready!! :)
Prepare a cute outfit the night before, and make sure to check the weather so you can plan ahead!
Don't skip breakfast, If you are busy, you can meal prep some overnight oat or chia pudding the night before.
Try reading at least 10 pages in the morning, it will help you feel more refreshed.
Make sure to check your bag, so you don't forget things like your lip combo, keys, and headphones!! Nothing worse than sitting on the subway without headphones (me rn) :((

Stuff that helped my skin and hair :
Just a few simple tips.
Fragrance free soaps, shampoos and lip balms.
Hair oil - twice a week. Especially if your hair is dry or normal.
Extra conditioner at the tip of your hair can treat / avoid split ends.
Moisturize before / after applying any serums or acid based creams.
Exfoliators should not be used regularly. It's recommended to use them only once or twice a week. And moisturize after using the exfoliators.
Tea tree oil based soaps and body washes to treat bacne.
Hot baths will make your skin dry af.
Cold baths are always better. If you can't handle... Stick to lukewarm.. but hot baths are a big NO NO especially if your skin is naturally dry.
Never directly spray perfume in your armpits. It will start hyperpigmentation. Spray on your wrists or neck. Or even better.. on your clothes alone. Spraying on sweat prone areas on your body will cause hyperpigmentation.
Hair conditioner can also be used as a shaving cream. It makes your skin moist, shiny and smooth. I highly recommend.
Anti dandruff shampoos can also treat your bacne. Just apply the anti dandruff shampoo on your back and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing it all off.

âShut up,â Harry laughed, deliriously fond. âI wouldnât have to rush out if someone didnât take so long in the bathroom.â
âDid you believe all this happens naturally?â shaking his long, lovely hair in emphasis. Harry, whoâd seen this trick a thousand times before, drank the sight hungrily: Harry, whoâd seen Draco when he just woke up this morning, knew the statement for the rubbish it was.
âCute. Youâre stalling, and Iâm going to be late.â
Draco quirked an eyebrow. âNot exactly holding you here by the tie, am I.â
Disappointedly: âHmm. I suppose not.â Rectifying immediately with a step closer, arms wrapping around Draco; inhaling deep the sharp smell of his aftershave, of his fancy face cream Harry still occasionally had to lick.
âNow whoâs stalling,â but his voice was soft, punctuated with tiny kisses to his jaw. âHarry. Youâll be late. And youâve got that lecture today, the one you kept droning on and on about.â
While he had one arm around Harryâs shoulders, a hand threading through his hair. âItâs only, Iâm a little entangled here. See, Iâve got this partner who keeps insisting heâs not clingy.â
âSurely heâs not. Did you consider the fact youâre extremely touchable? And besides that heâs maybe a bit gone for you, and cannot be blamed. Not so early in the morning. What? Stop looking at me like that, you started it, and I wouldnât take so long to wake up if you hadnât insisted on staying up late last night, with your,â stopped to laugh, croaky and loud in Harryâs ear, to shake his head with his eyes all grey.

âDarling,â giddy with it, rubbing his nose against Dracoâs cold one. âYouâre freezing. You should get back inside, get some sleep.â
âI would, only thereâs this brute who wonât let me go.â
The thought of him back in bed, wrapped under a warm duvet was slightly devastating. Trying for a brave smile, âWell, did you consider youâre very touchable.â
âAm I? Thatâs news to me.â
A huff, and affection tearing through him, impossibly tight: âRight, okay,â forcing his hands away, his legs a step back. âI really have to go.â
âWait,â Draco said, forehead crinkling, âarenât you forgetting something?â
âYou already brought me my jacket.â
âFuck your jacket. Something actually important.â
âOh!â sweeping him in his arms once again, delighting in the way his head tilted up, expectantly, for a kiss. In delivering one at a time, deliberate. âI love you. I love you so much.â
Draco allowed this for a moment longer, then pushed Harry away, flushed and awfully dear. âAll right, off you go. Did you know youâre an utter sap.â
âOnly for you.â
The long-suffering look. âOh, the things one is willing to put up with.â But he stayed there, bracing a bare shoulder against the doorway, and it was morning-cold outside, and he couldnât really hide the smile.
âYes, poor you,â Harry said, and kissed him again just because. Â

a while back i commented "everyone does this" on a post suggesting that planning out your day (ie finish breakfast at 10, leave at 12:30, catch a 1 pm train) is an autistic trait and to this day people @ me to argue against it. like why. aside from the fact that i'm right because this is the most unremarkable commonplace act of scheduling, why do you even have to mystify yourself by pretending other people somehow don't share in lame ass everyday experiences. did you know only autistic people chill out and listen to music
