Serious question goobers, is there a South Park moment or episode that made you cringe out of your fucking skin?

Because I remember the first time I watched the little song and dance sequence at the end of Elementary School Musical and oh man. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more visceral reaction to something on this damn show, and that’s honestly saying something.

something so fucked up about Chat Noir’s whole deal is that he is in a lot of ways Adrien playing a character. Like Adrien picked up his miraculous and was told he’d be a superhero so he was like “ok, time to act like a superhero!” and he lets himself have fun w it and play up the role and let loose and kind of just allow himself to be silly and goofy and have fun and for once in his life not care about performing Perfection��.

But. But none of the other characters KNOW THAT. So everyone just sees Chat Noir and is like “look at this guy’s ego. He’s so full of himself. Surely it’d be fair to knock him down a few pegs” without being aware of how few pegs he actually HAS. He’s like the “insecure character who overcompensates in ego” trope except he’s really not doing it unironically, he’s just having a fun LARP pretending to have self worth in his off-hours but nobody else is on the same page about it being a game and he refuses to tell them. He just dramatically pouts about it and lets them laugh and pretends like he’s not internalizing it and it is almost 3 am and my brain forced me to write this instead of sleeping I’m gonna take a melatonin

idk if this is accurate but i’ve felt like in previous seasons riz & gorgug have been one of the inter-bad kids dynamics we’ve seen the least of & this season has been so great in that aspect. gorgug having helped make some of riz’s magic gear. riz helping gorgug with his studies. the shared birthday party. gorgug’s gift to riz being something he himself made to protect riz. riz’s gift to gorgug being something he illegally grabbed to protect gorgug. gorgug who utilizes rage to put his body on the line for his friends & riz who will take deep levels of mental stress for his friends. even though it was within the context of a joke, riz calling gorgug an “absolute sweetie.” like yea they might not be in a band together or both part of a presidential campaign team or owlbears teammates, but they’d go to war for each other, because they’re best friends.

Danny Fenton, aka Phantom, has been given a new task!

In short, literally no one in the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms wants their mostly peaceful afterlife to be rocked by a certain Gotham rogue named Joker. Which, when he dies, is almost sure to happen because of whatever the hell was in that vat he dropped in included ectoplasm. So, yay, he’s also a little ghostly too, meaning he *is* pretty hard to kill. Unfortunately, there’s also a certain vigilante that is quite keen to murder him in recent years.

So now Danny has to keep the mass murderer trauma clown alive for as long as he possibly can while attempting to keep the Joker from. Well. Being the Joker.

Oh, and naturally, Danny got this assignment AFTER Joker got out of Arkham. Again. And entirely blew up the asylum. Time to join the Goonion, he is NOT doing this without getting PAID, thank you.

Hopper didn’t have to say anything.

He could’ve kept his mouth shut and just drove Steve to his appointment with a neurologist out of town. He likes driving in silence with the windows down and the music on low. He didn’t have to say anything.

But Harrington hasn’t said a word since they left city limits and Hopper is a cop, and a dad. They ask questions so, “…Nervous about the appointment?”

“What?”

“I can practically hear you thinking, kid. What’s going on?”

“Oh, um…I have - I like this - person,” Steve eventually says, words picked a little too carefully for Hopper’s liking. He should’ve just left it there but he asks another question and Steve responds, “The problem is I don’t even know if they like g- me. Some people don’t like - me.”

“Harrington, there’s not a girl in that whole damn town who wouldn’t want to go on a date with you,” Hop says, flipping his blinker as they approach their exit. “What do you even like about them if you don’t think they like you?”

Steve slumps, “I don’t know. They’re cool and funny, and we have stuff in common, ya know? And his hair, man. Hop, it’s a great head of - shit!”

Hopper nearly hit the guardrail turning off the exit and Steve went pale head to toe, realizing what he’d said, “I did - fuck. Yeah, okay. It’s a guy. I like - and girls, too. I still like girls. I-“

“Stop talking,” Hopper says, breathing out. “It’s fine. It’s - that’s great, for you. I’m glad you, uh. Know yourself.”

“Hop, that sounds like you walked in on me masterbaiting.”

“I’m trying to be supportive.”

“Oh…” Steve said. “You’re doing a great.”

“Thanks.”

Something I miss from earlier eras of the creative side of the internet was things just being unabashedly low-budget. Just all unashamedly amateur, unprofessional, ‘I don’t own a good camera but I have a story to tell you’, ‘I can’t afford a good mic but I have a song to sing for you,’ ‘I don’t have any kind of background in editing or lighting and I only just picked up this guitar last Tuesday but here’s an entire musical me and my friends wrote about our favourite book, we filmed it on a potato and put it up on YouTube in ten minute segments because we thought it was pretty funny.’
