I don’t think people realize that THE ONLY leverage that people who care about Palestine have right now is to cow Joe Biden down from fear of losing the election. THE ONLY LEVERAGE. The end of affirmative action is only the surface of a slew policies aimed at removing protections that will turn education opportunities even lower for black and underrepresented minorities. Democrats have just started reforms on re-classifying medical debt so that it doesn’t affect credit scores. Disabled people are no longer being punished for getting married. Increasing accessibility to education that’s non-four year colleges (like community college and state schools). And as far as I can tell Democrats seem to at least be willing to come to the table in discussing racist tech and facial recognition software.

I've always tried to push back against my family's small minded bigoted bullshit, and it used to suck so much more cause I would get so emotional and I would just get dismissed as crazy cause I would be so upset by the fact that they were so casually hateful and ignorant, but I've been doing it for years and I can keep my cool now and I see it as a challenge, like I'm a spy trying to manipulate them into being better, empathetic people.
