“FUCK.” Rou slammed her hands on the table, crystal forming on the back of her hands. Polar stood beside her, silently scanning the papers that were strewn across it, a frown evident on the latter’s face. “We’re getting nowhere. Fuckin’ useless.” Shards of crystal fell to the floor as the redhead moved away, pacing the entirety of the room. It was certainly a first for the two of them- Polar had never seen the other look so serious and uptight about this- And Rou herself had never conducted such an investigation. “Don’t give up hope. Surely there’s more that’ll be revealed in time. You just gotta-” “Look harder, I know. You’ve told me.” The raven-haired woman patted the redhead’s shoulder before her eyes flicked up to the poster on the wall. Woven Hues. A company dedicated to scientific discoveries and improvements. Something’s always up with them. Roulette was given a few tips about them- That they were somehow connected to the rising disappearances in Tivers. It was odd, yet unsurprising why she’d think so. The poor woman hasn’t had.. The best experiences with these types of situations. Roulette has many a time vocalized her hate for the Fritz twins- Specifically Fritz Rioux, or as he was called, Rio. He took her in as a teen, raising her to be a perfect little puppet. Earlier, when her biological family somewhat sold her to a scientist skel who used Rou for certain.. Experiments.  Matiz. Now this is what Polar lacked. What did he do to make her shut up so much about him? Besides the obvious traumatizing- It was intriguing, in a way. She felt compelled to learn more about him, and as a bonus, more about the fiery badger. Although more open nowadays compared to the past- There’s still a bit she hasn’t revealed. Maybe to Nillyx, but not anyone else. She doubted that that irritating hImbo of a rabbit even knew. “I’m gonna take a break, Ris. Probably pass out. Haven’t gotten a good one of those in a few..” Roulette said, rubbing the bridge of her nose. Polar nodded, before turning back to the utter mess in her office. “Would you-” “Don’t. Don’t leave it too.. Clean. This whole choir of discordance is making my head hurt..” “Get some sleep,” Polar softly said. “You’ll work best with a clear head.” Rou raised an eyebrow at that, her look saying it all. Polar felt her eye twitch, and the latter took that as an opportunity to run. The cat sighed, before turning back to the papers strewn around the table and walls. “..aw, dangnabbit.”

Rou stared out at the familiar expanse before her, watching the stars slowly rise. The silhouettes of the canyons loomed on the horizon, reminding her of sun-beaten days and jolly cool nights. She let her feet dangle from the edges, the ravine below her dark and yet somewhat welcoming. ..If only Tafs was here with her. With one motion, she grabbed her phone and played the voicemail that had been repeating in her head for the past two weeks. She knew the words by heart now, but.. She could listen to him speak over, and over.. ‘Hey, bae, got any plans for this weekend? I’ve got one- Lez go do abso-fAckin-lutely nothin! We can laze around the house, I can cook for ya, we can drink together with Leymon and Xe, and jam. You know how much I love it when ya play. ..I miss ya, aight? Make sure you’re taking care of yaself. I know that what you’re doin' is important and all- But please, don’t be too much of an idiot. Cause then, I won’t be ya idiot anymore. I’d just be a lonely idiot with two drongos hanging round my sorry arse all da- HEY-!’ A crash sounded in the background, and some muffled voices could be heard over the usual buzz of Lyme’s office and the music playing. The redhead could visualize it already. ‘YOU PIECE OF HORSESHIT- Fuckin- Anyway, I love you, aight? Come home soon.’ And with that, the voicemail ended, and all that was left of him was a comforting memory, lingering in the breeze. Rou didn’t realize she was wiping away a few tears until her vision blurred- And the woman only had one eye. Props to father-fuckin-Fritz. Damn bastard. Another soul sat down beside her, the somewhat dried-up grass crunching softly with the person’s weight.

“Feeling homesick much?” Ah. She could recognize that voice anywhere. Rou glanced aside, and sure as heck- 3D, teary, and weirdly pale-looking under the moonlight- Stood her cousin, Nillyx. The duo shared a hug, the redhead ruffling the latter’s hair affectionately. “Took ya long enough to come back, shit!” The shorter woman fiddled with her hair of onyx grey. “Haa… Well, you know me. Always fucking things up one way or another. What’s your deal?” “Bitchass? Tell me what you’re going through, then I’ll tell you my deal.” Nillyx sighed, pulling her knees to her chest and resting her chin on it. A gentle breeze drifted through the air, twirling and dancing around the two in a cool waltz. It fell silent, the only sounds were the wind, their breaths, and the faint rustle of sleepy birds. “The Strings have been speaking to me again.” ..Shit. Rou wasn’t expecting this. “They.. They keep telling me to wake up, to cut the strings, to weave the loose ends, to bring both back, to paint the world in hues of truth-” “Wait. Repeat the last few parts.” “..To paint the world in hues of truth?” Rou stiffened, recognizing the familiar lines. It wasn’t exactly the same, but it was similar. That had to account for something, right? “..I got a little wooden set, like those things where you build shit. It was a lab for me. There was a letter attached to it, and it had a map, this tag thing, and a paper. 

‘Trace the disappearances. They're all woven together. May you wash the lies with the hue of truth.’ That’s what it read.” Nillyx and Rou both shared a look, the pieces clinking together. “Well, Duchess? Ready for another duo mission?” “Always, dear Tani.”

we all know how goof and silly venture can get but i always wanted to imagine it in futher detail when they are in a relationship

they DEFINITELY out of the rest heros is likely to run up to you and say the most out of pocket stuff ever to be heard

speaking of out of pocket things, they 99999% use brain rot lingo (gyatt, mog, alpha sigma, rizz) especially on you since they find you basically their target with their silly antics, (it comes with dating them) but also its because they find you the most comfortable to be around and then completely trust you to handle their silly episodes!

Of course you know when its coming because they can’t hide it behind a red face struggling to hold in the giggles

they will literally fall in love with you even more if you are able to play along with them, it makes them feel less lonely when they do these silly things considering they were most likely scolded in the past for not taking everything too seriously

Its almost like letting their inner child come out when times get rough…or they just wanna because free will, no need to get philosophical here

they would even want to pull pranks on others! mind you nothing too overkill (unless its Mauga),of course with you being an exception of being their lover you are never pranked unless if you tell them that you are 100% okay with it!

They would squeal and shake with excitement if you tell them that you want to help them out with the pranks, they take your hand in theirs making you jump with them to which with their contagious smile and laugh you get in the mood real quick

These moments arent everyday common things but its easy to say that its important for Sloans character, its what they are and of course through all of the talking, joking, and pranking they are aware of you completely supporting them and stil continuing to love them even through the silliest of moments to which they calm down for once and hold your hand tight when they say this

“You know, no one has been able to handle me and my silly times for this long! And i just wanted to say thank you for loving me and being with me. Anyway i wanted to say that you are really skib- COOL!”

Of course its quick for them to jump back into the silliness after getting all serious which kinda drains their emotional energy (buts its for you so its okay<3)
