hey i love your art sm!! <3 do you have any tips for artists who are struggling to find an audience?

hmm, my tips for gaining an audience on tumblr would be to post at least every few days, keeps the audience you have engaged and allows you to keep appearing on their fyp and recommended.

Second tip would be using tags. Relevant tags anyways, you dont want to go filling up tags with unrelated art. But as long as the tags are on theme, use as many as you can find. Sometimes people look through the tags they follow and they could see your art, and tumblr may recommend posts with familiar tags to a potential audience.

Third, interact with other blogs! like posts, comment, follow people, maybe reblog some stuff if you want to too, tho mostly those first three. Liking and following people may get their attention, and they could check out your blog. There are many people who have blogs dedicated to reblogging posts, if you follow em theres a chance they could check you out and start reblogging your art, giving more reach to ya.

(i wouldnt recommend just going up to accounts and spam liking them just to get their attention, but if you like all their content go right ahead. Be polite, yknow)

anyways, even with these steps its a gradual process to get an audience, dont feel to bad if you dont get a whole lot of new interactions within a week or so. But eventually youll gain frequent followers who will reblog your stuff and then it can snowball from there :3

its more so that recently salem and his partner have been harassing and sending death threats to other queer people, including supporting someone's irl rapist just because they don't like the person who was raped (razzicetea is the blog of the victim, they show proof of what happened to them on their blog.)

someone else also claims to have been harassed and sent death threats recently as well, though i havent seen screenshots, it isn't out of step with salem's history. back when he was puppy on twitter he would regularly qrt and send harassment mobs after people who criticised him or he just didnt like. he's a bully but because he acts wholesome on his blog people let him get away with it.

as nice of a guy he seems to be in front of his fans and followers, and as good as his art is, i dont think i wanna support someone who continues to do those sorts of things. I thought he put those.. "activities" behind him when he became Wolfer, but if he really hasnt then i dont think ill support him

do you still support wolfertinger666? Because they’ve recently been accused of many things and I saw your art of him and was wondering if you still do?

(kinda long answer, not really looked through too well, idk)

TLDR: thinking of separating the art from the artist. I do like Salem's art, but at the same time the things im seeing that he has done in the past are really... but at the same time it doesnt look like these problems are very recent, or like a continued thing (?)

Im not well versed in this topic, so until theres a clear story and clear proof that whats going on is an ACTIVE problem, i just kinda... dont want to go throwing myself into what looks like a big hairy mess

gonna be honest... i dont follow other artists close enough to be caught up on any recent scenarios, including Salem. I didnt know about any accusations against him up until this ask, and although i have looked into his history a bit, i wouldnt say i completely know the situation.

to my understanding, people are mad at him because the previous main alter of his body, Puppychan, did horrible things, and now hes mained by a different alter, with a new username and artstyle. It also seems like people are mad at him for continuing to draw suggestive art pieces, athough his account shows lots of not wanting minors anywhere near it. Hes also being accused of faking being trans, and faking disorders, tbh it seems like a bunch of mess, lots of stuff going back and forth

(If im missing any info or smth, again not exactly knowledgeable on this topic, please let me know so i can make a true and proper decision on how to feel about Wolfer)

Im gonna be honest... YES if it is true that Wolfertinger used to be Puppychan, then well yknow its really not great if everything that people says he did is true. But at the same time, based on what ive seen, it seems like Salem wants to move forward. This doesnt mean he has to be forgiven for what hes done, but like, idk, tbh this seems like a lot of old drama people keep bringing up or smth idk

i dont want to make a situation worse, in fact, id really rather not be a part of this... drama, or whtvr youd call it. I think until theres a clear story on what is going on with Salem, im just gonna continue bein in the background here: not exactly full on supporting Salem, but i do like his art. I dont like or condone any of the actions he is accused of but like, i dont want to abandon someone just based on accusations of old drama.

AGAIN IM NOT ENTIERLY SURE WHATS GOING ON WITH WOLFERTINGER666, IVE GOT MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE ON THIS STUFF. PLZ DONT GO FIGHTING IN MY COMMENTS OR HARRASING ME BECAUSE I DONT IMMEDIATELY HATE SALEM OR SMTH

which of your ocs can be used as emergency lighting in case of a power outage or loss of sun?

I think Technological_Flapjacks would be the best as emergency lighting. Lots of bright green lights all over her design, and screens to put out some bright white light. Although it would take a while after the origional outage, its inevitable that she would have to find or make some sorta alternate power source to keep herself from running out of battery 8/10

My sona, MP, could probably make do in a pinch. She can have some pretty bright eye glowing if needed, given her shape-shifting. Same thing goes for Xael as well, not the best, but better than nothing 3-4 / 10

Some species ive created / have my own versions of can produce light. There are some subspecies of Maren that can produce light, like how anglerfish and other sea creatures do. Along with that my version of hell hounds can have glowing fire/lava like hair and occasionally glowing markings 5-6 / 10

I dont think any other ocs of mine can produce any light of their own :P
