This was the moment that made me fall helplessly in love with Shin Soukoku… after spending the whole episode arguing and hurting each other it concludes with this…

They fought relentlessly about motives and morals in a big clumsy attempt to understand the other and then ridiculed each other on their differences. Differences that they slowly realized are painful similarities.

Then this happens... Akutagawa offers an honest encouragement to Atsushi and Atsushi returns the sentiment, both saying something that the other really needed to hear. Proving that maybe they do understand each other more than they thought, and definitely more than Akutagawa could have ever anticipated.

1: Ok, I thought this at the end of Season 1, but why does Ed stay on The Revenge? The fuck happened to his ship? Is it gone? Does he want to stay on Stede’s ship as a form of self-punishment? Self-destruction? I mean, he destroyed the ship but he’s still there? Is there crew just chilling on Blackbeard’s old ship just kinda waiting for him to come back? Did they just not want to build another set? I NEED TO KNOW.

2: Second, equally important point: fuuuuuck everyone got so much sexier. (But, like, especially Vico Ortiz. They were always a babe but my. god.)
