Welcome to Live Commentary

I had no one to talk to while watching the movie and I hate being alone with my thoughts so I wrote everything down in my notes app. It's not coherent! Enjoy!

Aw yeah 1.5 seconds of Bular that is all I needed! Might as well stop now I've seen my boy I'm satisfied.

Why is there a nearly 4 minute recap as if I haven't watched the show at least 50 times. I should be the one giving the recap.

The beginning felt a bit forced to me but maybe that's just me? Like they just tried to squeeze too many things into a small timeframe without any buildup, it just didn't really work. Congrats on the engagement! This is my OTP so I'm very happy! But it came out of nowhere.

Nari in Douxies body is so wrong and I love it and hate it at the same time (positive)

Eli is BIG. I knew he was gonna be tall but I was not prepared for that chiseled face. Or the fact that he stepped off the ship without glasses? I wear glasses and I would not choose to step off a spaceship blind.

Love seeing Barbara actively participating in battle too. Good for her! Power family!!

Where are the kids tho? Is NotEnrique babysitting? Either that or they hired the girl from the Incredibles movie.

Nomura is so talented I love seeing her fighting on the good side. I can't explain it but I love digitigrade legs they're just so pretty?? Aesthetically pleasing??? Fuck yeah, legg! I could watch Nomura run around and be badass all day.

So my favorite characters were Bular, Draal, Gunmar and Angor. And before this movie I always half-joked that everyone I love dies, how I still like Strickler and Nomura but apart from them all of my faves were killed in the very order of favoritism. AND NOW LOOK AT THIS. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I LOVE A CHARACTER. MY LOVE IS TOXIC.

I love how he and Aja just roll with it and nobody else even cares. They've seen weirder stuff. So he's pregnant now. Whatever.

Jim's hand is bandaged and his ribs still hurt. I love that they're actually consistent with his injuries. I mean sucks for him but hell yeah for hero that doesn't always win!

Unbecoming Part 2

So is Jim just gonna Groundhog Day it until everyone is fine? There's only 13 minutes left we're gonna need a bigger movie

The scene where Blinky is giving his goodbye speech, there are no babies and Steve has a round belly? Did he reabsorb them?? I mean I know Jim is about to un-birth them but he hasn't started yet

Alright so they're in school now, did they take the canal and just didn't mention the amulet on screen or did they pass it as if the Unbecoming episode hadn't been that traumatizing? Jim you know what happens when you ignore it

Soooo. Anyway. These whole past years I've rewatched this show over and over and over again are cancelled now?

OKAY AT LEAST WE SAW NANA FOR A SPLIT SECOND THAT'S IRONIC TIMING

So we get the quote again. And Trollhunter Tobias is nice. Cool. Cool AU I mean, but I don't know. I don't knowwww. I've been way too invested in everything to just accept that it never happened?? So uh. Hm. How about this.

Strickler survived because fuck you, and Toby also survived and just has scars now. Maybe a wheelchair but he's fine, also he can use the Warhammer for super speed and make it awesome once he's used to it. Archie and Charlie get freed once they rebuild the bridge (and they were playing scrabble to pass the time). Nomura is still dead because she died on screen and I can't really deny that but she's with Draal so it's okay. Everyone is traumatized but they'll be fine. NotEnrique is still babysitting 500 babies and Steve is about to bring 7 more.

In summary, I reject Groundhog Day ending but everything else was great, as long as it actually happened. It was a good movie. But you can't just cancel years of passion. Having the prospect of a million "canon AUs" sounds great for writing but at the same time nooo you can't do that he didn't have to go back THAT far HHHHH

I liked the movie. It was a great watch and a satisfying end to a franchise, but I gotta say I do not fancy the ending of it so I will from now on be in denial. I honestly feel kind of betrayed that this show was my whole life for so long, I learned every smallest fact, and they basically deleted it from existence. I know what they were going for, I think, but no thank you I will be going with my own opinion. Still gonna rewatch it a few dozen times though ✌🏻

Finally finished Tales of Eternia!!

And that makes 11th tales games finished and 15th overall played in some degree (Phantasia, Legendia, Innocence, and DotNW being the ones I havent finished yet).

Once I started again in December I decided that instead of liveblogging I’d make a review at the end instead.

So here we go! I will keep this spoiler free as possible!

I’m pretty scatterbrained but I’ll try to divide this into: combat, story, characters, and other game mechanics.

Combat: So obviously, the combat is above Phantasia and Destiny’s, being made after them. I honestly have grown fond of the 2d linear style format. There’s so many different boss fights in this game that can only work in a 2d field rather than 3d.

On the flip side, that’s not always a good thing. I count bosses like the wild dog thing in Vesperia, and Fodra Queen of Graces to be among the hardest mandatory boss fights in tales. Welp, Eternia added one to the ranks. Rem (aka Aska the light spirit) is one of the most frustrating boss fights I’ve done. Apart from constantly slowing healing itself, on the field it brings a shiny ball with it. You cannot destoy the orb, it’s there all fight, and if you touch it it hurts you. And of course it blocks the way to Rem. There is a way past it, it moves up and down so you just have to wait until its up to move past. BUT GUESS WHAT THE AI DOESNT DO. So your party will probably either be dying or constantly in pain. AND REM CAN MOVE THE ORD ANYWHERE. Also you cant physically hit Rem while its casting a spell only far away skills. So if you ever play this game just cheese it and spam variations of Sonic Blade.

Of course, on the flip side it’s every easy for you to cheese boss fights and just back them up into a corner unable to move or do anything until they die, so it evens out.

The sprite animations for the artes are gorgeous. Reid moves so fluidly in his artes, he’s honestly my third favorite protag to play as behind Yuri and Ludger because of this. The caster animations are great as well, granted it can become cluttered and hard to see in when artes like blizzard and earth shaker are used. BUT GOD DAMN I CAN WATCH MEREDY USE METEOR ALL DAY IT LOOKS SO COOL.

Nitpicks about the combat system are, Life, the reviving spell Farah has, takes to long to charge, and for Meredy and Keele to use healing artes you have to mix and match who has what craymel (spirit). There might be a guide but I didnt look beyond reddit so Life was the only resurrection spell I had.

Last nitpick comes from the Aurora Artes. Aurora Artes are skills only Reid can use, but in order to use them you have to have health below 15% and press circle, square, and x at the same time, so it’s very easy to mess up and die. Then to use more Aurora Artes you press the same buttons repeatedly, and after you use them Reid is left with 1 hp. AND the final boss has an automatic kill skill, you have to press the buttons at the right time to activate it and keep everyone alive, or you can cheese it like I did and have Farah hold a reverse doll to revive her after she dies. Did I also mention this skill happens in phase 2 of the fight when the bosses health is less than 20,000 after starting from 300,000? If you fuck up thats like 10mins of redoing.

But to end on a better note for this section, I love the way artes are learned. You have to use certain artes a number of times before you can unlock it (I THINK abyss and vesperia and many others are like this but this is the first time I found it rewarding). I grinded like hell to get the best artes for Reid AND YOU BET IT WAS WORTH IT. Omega Demon Chaos I love you,,,,

Story: Like countless other Tales titles, the conflict comes from two worlds being at odds with each other. However this game does something that none of the other games have done with this story beat. Language barriers! It’s super cool in the first couple of hours theyre just trying to figure out how to talk with Meredy. Of course by the end this point is nearly dropped entirely, everyone else just getting the special ear ring I spent 3 hours to get so the plot can move on.

Like most tales, theres a moment you thought the story would end but BOOM the twist. I wasn’t shocked by it, but that’s because I knew who the final antagonist of the game was prior to playing it, but still it was executed well.

Something that makes this Tales stand out is how they deal with backstory. So the main fours backstory is vital to the story and their characters but they don’t show it till like 20 hours in. It’s like if Graces you start off in main arc and learn about the childhood arc 2/3 of the way through and went “ohhhh that’s why they were distant with each other.” And other stuff about it but I won’t spoil it.

Overall a good story, though I do feel like I’m missing things either from missing some side quests, or because of no skits.

Characters: The main ones to shine are the four main characters (Reid, Farah, Keele, and Meredy), everyone else literally is either one dungeon and/or optionable. Chat does still feel like a character being the owner of the Van Elita aka means of transportation for half the game. Max and Ras tho rip. ESPECIALLY MAX. Ya know how every tales there’s the mandatory Talk Before The Final Battle? Yea well they all get one except Max. You see him, but he doesnt talk, YET THEY CRAYMELS DO.

Another odd, yet charming, thing is that there’s no big moment of character development for anyone like Luke cutting his hair, Magilou keeping the portal open, or punch in the face like Alvin. They just. Slowly change. And its really weird cause for all of disc 1 Keele is basically an unbearable asshole and he just? Learns to be a better person from everything he sees? There’s no callout or moment of realization, he just slowly learns and it’s super refreshing.

Reid is probably one of the most relatable protagonists up there with Jude. I’m sure most of you know the “he doesn’t want to do shit lol” persona he has BUT GOD WHY HE’S LIKE THAT BABY I LOVE YOU. Farah’s personality is also explained in the backstory, so for any of you crestoria players that Farah’s backstory is really different like how Emil’s is, but the sentiment of why she’s like that is the same and stem for a similar event.

Meredy’s also great. I thought I’d get annoyed of her and her “You bet!” but god when she says it the last time at the end of the game, I was pretty moved. I wish I knew more about her backstory but I’m pretty sure a certain section of her life info was left to skits and ya know we didn’t get those till Symphonia :)))

As antagonists go, besides the Craymels who are there to test you before you get their power, there’s just two. Main boss and their lackey. The lackey is eh. You see him once at the beginning of the game, then see him destroy a city, then one last time where you kill him. You do get his backstory and stuff but eh I’m usually not fond of tales mini villains minus Chimerad, God Generals, and Artorius’s lackeys

The main antagonist tho, I really don’t wanna spoil it but it’s hard to talk about why I’m conflicted on it without spoiling. So it’s like Destiny’s final boss but written better in some part and worse in others. So at one point it’s super emotional and pretty powerful with the message eternia wants to send but at the same points its a jrpg where you gotta kill god cause he doesn’t think humans are worth it.

Oh one more thing thats honestly hilarious, there’s literally SINGLE animated cutscene by Production I.G in this entire game minus the op.

Other things: the amount of mini games in this game is insane, but the amount you have to do IN JUST THE SECOND DISC to continue the plot is more than any other tales game I can recall. Some of them are fun like the card game, others like the bomb one I want to throw in a fire.

There’s also so much Destiny pandering in this game. There’s portraits of the characters, you can collect lens, I’m 95% sure the way a certain character is done is because they wanted another Leon, you can SUMMON THE SWORDIAN USERS ARE AS AN ACTUAL SUMMON. While all Phantasia gets is the cameo battle and the Eternal Sword. I mean I didn’t mind cause I’ve finished Destiny and it’s one of my fav tales games but damn it was pretty obvious.

EXPLORATION IS SO FUN IN THIS GAME. Mainly near the end when you have free reigns. YOU CAN DIVE UNDERWAY AND EXPLORE THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA WHAT OTHER TALES GAME LETS YOU DO THAT???

In conclusion: A fun game! I don’t think it was worth 133 dollars tho consider my play file was 35 hours and thats with a good chuck of side quests and ex bosses. Probably in my top 5 combat systems of tales and final villains, but not in terms of story or characters. A really hope it gets remastered soon I’d love for more people to play it.

Supernatural season 15 episode 9 thoughts (SPOILERS)

Let’s start with the things that had me flailing my arms:

JACK KLINE AND BILLY!!!

I REPEAT J A C K K L I NE & B I L L Y!! MY CHILD IS BACK! I REPEAT MY CHILD IS BACK!! (I mean like I knew he would be back but it’s been like weeks since I saw him sooo...)

Supernatural: the only show where you will find people hating on God but loving Satan’s kid and death

I mean can you think about?! Freaking death herself and a nephilim teaming up together to take down Chuck? What. A. Powerful. Freaking. Duo!!

After all that crazy, intense stuff that was happening, seeing Jack at the end of the episode was a FREAKING WIN!!

I didn’t realized how much I missed that nougat loving child until I saw him

“Dean. You asked what about all of this is real? WE ARE”

“After what happened, I don’t know what’s real anymore” Saileen kiss “I KNOW THAT WAS REAL”

“JUST STOP BEING SO STUPID” 😂

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that Castiel was once a SOLDIER THAT has led an ARMY. I’m so glad that these past few episodes shows how much of a badass Cas really is and how he’s not willing to take Dean’s bullshit anymore

When Dean called Cas his “best friend” while praying to him, I was just like: okay... okay, whatever. This is why I wear a permanent clown mask. Bestfriend my ass...

(“Just friends”, huh? Well “just friends” don’t steal secret glances at each other. “Just friends” don’t get jealous when the other one talks about someone else. “Just friends” don’t get butterflies from each other. “Just friends” don’t hold each other like that. “Just friends?” Yeah right.)

But then again, (and this is the clown mask talking) sometimes best friends are often linked to friends-to-lovers trope and “my husband/wife is my best friend”

Doesn’t make sense, yea I know, but like I said clown mask

At least we got a somewhat love declaration from Dean

That prayer... OMG

I was on the edge of my freaking seat the whole time! I mean that was some intense level of fanfiction over there

Destiel really graduated from eye-fucking to eye-lovemaking

(I’m surprised the empty didn’t take Cas right then and there but thank goodness it didn’t)

When Dean FINALLY acknowledges his anger as his flaw, that was freaking refreshing! He finally understands that his anger is what pushes people away. And you know what makes me happy? That is Cas that made him realize how his anger affects the people around him

Now the things that made me ball my eyes out/shout into oblivion:

While watching Chuck slowly strip Sam’s hope away from him, I felt so angry but I mostly felt sadness

Because this is Sam, guys! This is the guy who who always see the light at the end of the tunnel, the one who always fought for his family and friends when they couldn’t.

Now all he probably feels is despair. But I have hope still

God may be powerful but he isn’t that powerful enough to break Sam Winchester

Speaking of God, WHO THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE IS USING OUR SWEET EILEEN LIKE A PUPPET?!

SOMEBODY HOLD ME BACK CAUSE IMMA SNATCH THIS HOE’S WEAVE

That prayer and hug scene... I-I have no words for that... Jensen Ackles deserves an Oscar award

If you think about it, a part of Dean probably thought Cas was dead and can you imagine how shattered he must’ve felt while searching for him? Like you saw how desperate he was. He’s mind was solely focused on Castiel.

To find him, make sure he’s alive, kind of paralleling their first time in the Purgatory. He saw he only had two min. left and any other person would’ve ran back to the portal so they wouldn’t get stuck and plan another way to get that flower.

But not if it’s Cas. Dean would not be able to stomach it if Cas died or if he left him with their relationship still in a rocky place. You saw that he was ready to stay. He wanted to stay because, like the last time, his basic instinct came forward. There’s no life on earth without Cas

(Plus when Sam saw the future, you saw how depressed Dean became, how he felt there’s no point in fighting anymore since Cas died and he had to bury him. Second time that happened.)

BENNY!!!

ANOTHER REASON WHY I WAS EXCITED FOR THIS EPISODE WAS THAT WE MIGHT SEE BENNY

BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM? HE DIED

CAN MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS STOP DYING?! THE AUDACITY!!!

I’M STARTING TO THINK DEATH IS THE NEW TREND THESE DAYS

Also...

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FUTURE?!?!

I will RIOT if the big finale ends with Team Free Will’s work being worthless and them turning into monsters to kill their friends

Oh, and another thing...

WHAT TYPE ANGSTY FANFIC IS THIS?!

And this is basically him saying that he would’ve stayed even after just saying that he needs to move on if Dean would’ve just STOP HIM!!

I need a drink...

Conclusion

I feel like Jack (and Cas) is the key to defeating Chuck. I created this post a few days back, but to summarize it, I feel like Jack will bring paradise back on earth similar to what Cas’ vision showed him by defeating Chuck and getting rid of all those demons and monsters Chuck released on earth.

And Castiel, he was never part of Chuck’s stories, same with Jack. He keeps on not including them to his stories, it’s like they don’t even exist in his mind. But they keep coming back. Especially Cas. He’s the one who’s been defying destiny and doing the complete opposite of what was expected of him.

And it looks like Jack is following in his footsteps.

Jack is supposed to be dead. I’m pretty sure Chuck isn’t expecting for him to return but with the help of Billy, he will and he’s going to be a big part to defeating Chuck.

Another thing I want to conclude with...

Dean’s biggest fear is losing Cas. For years, he had done nothing but direct his anger to Cas and take him for granted, even though I know what sometimes he doesn’t mean to.

But every time, Cas came back. He just bows his head and takes it. But not anymore. He stood up to Dean and left because it was what was best for him. He knows his worth and he’ll no longer be treated badly by Dean.

But of course Cas will still end up coming back. He’ll still help and everything but doesn’t mean he’ll just easily let Dean get away with what he did. That’s why he’s so distant. He’ll forgive Dean, of course he will but first he’ll have to own up to his mistakes

And Dean? He realized this. It took losing Cas to realize how much of a jerk he’s been. And whether be it the past, present or future, losing Cas will shatter him. (As seen in the future, how he felt like there’s nothing left to fight for)

It’s kind of bittersweet how Sam has lost all hope and this time it’s Dean who’s keeping that faith alive between them

I also hope Michael/Adam and Amara and Queen Rowena helps Team Free Will 2.0

Just imagine how powerful and badass they would be

Task 24 - OOC About Your Character

1. What do you want to get out of playing this character(s)?

To see him and his story develop, especially with relationships.

2. Describe your character(s) with three words.

Strong, fierce, caring.

3. What made you decide to write this muse?

Liam was my first muse in this game, and I always wanted to play someone that went against typical fantasies of wealth and power, instead someone simple-life oriented, quiet, reserved, cold who could develop into something more if unlocked.

4. If you could change one event in your muse’s life (in their main or canon verse), what would you change?

Nothing really, everything is carefully crafted to put Liam in the mindset he needs to be in; I already re-wrote his history when I left the game and came back, to flesh him out better.

5. If you could tell your muse one thing, what would you tell them?

Don’t be afraid to open up and love again.

6. If you could give your muse one gift, what would you give them?

He’s not very sentimental or materialistic, but if possible, maybe one more day with his wife that would let him get closure.

7. If you had to take one positive thing away from your muse, what would you take away?

His unwavering conviction: He has his beliefs, he has his loyalties, and those don’t stray, and it’s an admirable trait to have a strong conviction that you don’t let falter.

8. If you could “borrow” one aspect of your muse and apply it to yourself or your own life, what would you borrow?

His confidence in himself and his beliefs, to not care so much what others think.

9. Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life?

I would love Liam to be happy, I thought there was a chance at first, but that fell off; since then, it seems the options are there, but it’s on him to be more open to allow for it. Clearly the man has lived a violent, angry, and lonely life, one that he created himself because of his nature. He hasn’t allowed himself to love since his wife passed (by his hands in a blood rage), and he hasn’t allowed himself to love again. There’s been a few that have nearly unlocked that, but it’s not until he allows himself to admit it and forgive himself, that he’ll ever be truly happy.

10. Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?

I do, even if he doesn’t seem ‘angsty’, fact is stuff bothers him inwardly and he worries. He just doesn’t like to show weakness or too many sides to himself. He has been more open, and recently been questioning some of his actions. Hurting him the most would be him harming someone he cares deeply about.

11. What do you love about your muse?

His confidence, and again, his unwavering conviction. His simple-life mindset is also something I greatly appreciate.

12. What do you hate about your muse?

His coldness and closed off mindset.

13. What about your muse amuses you?

The fact that pop-culture references just go flying over his head, because he just does not care a thing about film or TV.

14. What about your muse makes you sad?

The fact that he feels so lonely despite his friends.

15. How would you describe your muse to someone about to meet them, in person, for the first time?

He’ll be cold, distant, a bit stand offish. May be a bit intimidating, and maybe a bit too matter-of-fact in speaking, seems to lack any real filter. If you can accept that and work past it, he’s a good friend to have though.

16. Would you like your muse as a person if you met them in real life?

Probably, but it’d be hard for me to feel comfortable to call him a friend; I’d be pretty intimidated around him until I got to know him.

17. In what ways are you better than your muse? In what ways are they better than you?

I’m more open, empathetic, able to befriend people easier, but Liam has a confidence and conviction that I lack and wish I had. I wish I could care less about what people think of me, and be more confident in who and what I am.

18. Why do you think you connect to your muse?

We both care deeply about people we love, we’re both a bit quieter, and both of us aren’t the most social of butterflies; while Liam would prefer to sit at home wood working and working on cars, I’d more than happily sit at home and write or watch movies.

19. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

Again, it’s his pure and unwavering confidence and conviction. I think that probably is the same with Liam as well, holding onto his identity is so invaluable to him, because if he loses that he’ll lose control and that’s when he’ll slip back into what he used to be. He struggles with the fact that he’s a violent, insatiable killer, but at the same time has compassion for life and doesn’t WANT to just attack and kill. And he has to make sure he accepts that aspect of him, of what he WANTS to be, so he can balance that against what he can be. His confidence and conviction helps maintain that balance.

20. Has your character(s) changed over the time that you have been playing them? How have they changed?

While Liam’s fundamentals, his rules to live by and moral convictions have mostly stayed the same. He has slowly opened up more, been more open to listen and talk with people; though, he doesn’t often talk about himself, he can let a bit of his past slip in here or there. He’s learned to not look at others as potential enemies or victims, but instead daring to call some of them friends. He’s able to laugh more, joke more, hopefully someone’s willing to push that to the next level someday.

I’m a massive film buff, so almost every movie is a favorite to me in some fashion. I adore Star Wars for several reasons, not all of them good. Maybe my favorite movie is probably a toss up between The Big Lebowski or No Country for Old Men, any film with incredible dialogue really. But then I also absolutely love beautiful BS like the MCU films and got shivers during the Portals scene in Endgame, so yea... no idea really.

Currently: The Immortal Irishman - Timothy Egan (This needs to be made into a movie)

7. Favorite vacation spot -

My favorite vacation I ever went on is a toss up between trip with friends to Portland for a wedding, and Chicago for Star Wars Celebration, but I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland. I intend to try next year.

8. Favorite Disney movie -

The Lion King (I’m basic bitch like that, don’t at me.)

9. How did you first get into role playing?

I started playing back when I was around 13 or 14, back on AOL, playing a Jedi in a D&D like setting... because that’s what I knew. People were accepting of it, and it was some of the greatest experience. I love story telling.

10. What was your first platform? If it was something other than Tumblr, what made you get into Tumblr?

AOL. And why Tumblr? AOL moved to Greatest Journal, which died, and moved to Insane Journal, and I met a girl there who told me about Tumblr RP, which I said ‘that sounds stupid’... and now I’m here. So there’s that. I still really don’t know what I’m doing half the time on Tumblr, no idea how to discover games on this platform, lol.

11. What’s a grammar rule you find yourself breaking or ignoring a lot?

100% it’s tenses. Past/present, I just write how I talk and it’s bad writing, I know. I will also simultaneously explain way too much in depth, and other times get ridiculously lazy writing in-depth.

12. Are there any languages besides English in which you think you could comfortably roleplay?

Just English. I’ve tried to learn other languages, but for whatever reason it’s very hard for me to wrap my mind around sentence structure and grammar rules in other languages.

13. Do you listen to music while your write?

Depends. If it’s just basic writing, an easy-going scene, probably not? I can get distracted from time to time; however, if I’m trying to get into a specific mood most definitely. Or if I feel a scene is heading somewhere that needs a good soundtrack? I’m a sucker for soundtracks in film, and music can really drive my mood (which is why it can be a distraction). And sometimes I write a scene specifically because I was hearing music that put me in that mood.

14. Are you a morning, day, evening, or night writer?

Evening. Which is why changing positions at work will help me, when I start working more during the day. When I work at night it’s hard for me to get up and get going enough in the morning to write.

15. How does tiredness affect your writing?

Do you know how many times I write something exhausted, and when I come back to read it I absolutely hate it? It affecs me greatly...

16. What is your biggest obstacle to writing every day, if time doesn’t count?

Motivation, mood. I’m up and down in my moods, and sometimes I’m feeling down, exhausted, both, or sometimes I just feel inadequate in my writing and hate writing because I judge my abilities and suddenly don’t want to write.

17. How many drafts is a paralyzing amount?

None? It’s more my mood and how far I get behind that’s paralyzing, but when I’m not feeling down or depressed, I’m in a normal mood or a great mood, I can write 30 threads in a single sitting and not miss a beat. I’m sure others can attest to how far I can turn around a reply when I’m on my game. (probably annoyingly).

18. Is there anything character-wise or writing style-wise that you can’t stand?

It’s probably Godmodding, it takes away from the fun of writing WITH people if you’re trying to control their actions.

19. What kind of anonymous questions are your favorite?

Things that make me think about my character, or have my character think. Things that make me really develop my character’s mind.

20. What is your weakest point in writing? Angst, fluff, dialogue, etc.?

I love dialogue in film, so maybe it’s a bit ironic that writing dialogue can easily be an achilles heel for me. It’s hard for me to write fluff or small talk, because I’ve personally never been very good at small talk, and focusing that in my writing is difficult. Fluff is kind of the same way, because it’s all romantic and cheesy and really? I feel a bit embarrassed when writing it. Though that’s more or less for some characters more than others. Murad I can get a bit more fluffy and small talky because I can be outwardly weird with him, where as Liam... his quiet reserve and demeanor make those difficult.

HISTORY OF PLATANO... yea his name is spanish for banana

his father, pablo, will probably get a name change someday but i literally never think of his father since the only thing he did in platano’s backstory was disappear

since platano’s world has characters based off like. fruits and vegetables (there aren’t really any limit to what the characters are based off of. it was in my lazy google translate name phase so we have like... a gay character named arcenciel who becomes dadlike through my powerful canon-changing touch. also arcenciel wears the colors of the rainbow as often as he can i haven’t figured out a good design for him since i’m not used to using more than 5 colors. he also owns a hat factory)

i think arcenciel and platano are friends they met when platano was like. 17 probably and arcenciel would be around uhhhhh ummmmmmm 21??? idk man but in canon he’s probably around 30 . yes i m saying “in canon” because i wrote a really dumb and horrible story back in 2018 arcenciel used to have HUGE internalized homophobia and i turned that into a running joke and i dislike that so that’s a reason why i’m not sharing the fun little story i wrote for my friends

(the best part of that story is when arcenciel threw his light-up rainbow heelies at platano, thus starting the boss fight which the main cast LOST.)

ok back to the topic at hand. platano.

i have a whole doc named platano where i just wrote drabbles about him so i’m going to summarize them

the first one was his friend, percisi (my only cishet oc he’s very short and very aggressive while also dressing in a soft-colored turtleneck since he’s based off of peaches) using a misunderstood form of satanism to summon satan. guess what percisi and platano summoned satan for. it was a manga update! wow

i won’t say the mangas name it was an inside joke

so platano was like “hey satan can i have this manga now please please” and satan went “sure just kill people for me”

that determined platanos job for the next 7 or so years <3 wonderful.

(it was basically me writing a backstory for a scene to happen in the main writing i wrote for my friends. he killed someone because someone else in the building was trying to summon satan. very confusing but okay i guess.)

i think right after that i wrote about platano meeting his boyfriend, sage, for the first time. i have horribly mixed feelings about their relationship since it’s very. Hm.

so platano kidnaps people to watch anime with him because all his friends left him and his best friend, mangue, is too busy being a dictator over the Land of the Fruits. i shit you not fruits oppressed the vegetables. i wrote that dynamic between the two because i was learning about the revolutionary war in US History. something like that at least

on the topic of kidnapping people. guess who his favorite person was. sage. it was sage. so he tried to take sage often but they probably discussed Proper boundaries since everyone else tried to run away. hmm i am now going to write a bit right now

“Platano,” Sage started. “Why do you keep kidnapping me? It’s rude and I hate it.”

“What else am I supposed to do?” The yellow-haired fool leaned on his sword, digging the tip deeper into the ground.

“ASK ME IF I WANT TO HANG OUT??”

“I can do that?”

“You keep making my dads worried.” Sage looked around the area, fidgeting with his hands.

“Oh. Okay. Want to hang out? Watch some anime?” Platano paused for a moment, but managed to say “Maybe kiss?” before Sage got to answer.

“I- KISS??? We can watch anime together. We can go now.”

Sage ushered Platano through a portal as fast as he could.

His dads were never worried.

hmmm maybe that’s alright idk i’m a little tired so it’s probably a little out of character. sage probably isn’t that loud but i think it was trying to be the dynamic of “oh, we’re not dating” when they kiss every sunday at 5 pm by a romantic river scene

he’s a character who is, at his very core, horrible and bad. he is portrayed in a way i DESPISE but i’m too lazy to correct it. his interest in sage actually started with me going “hmm i think platano would draw sage like this” then sauce giving me fun facts about his oc, sage, yea sage is sauce’s oc <3 epic win . so sauce gave me fun facts about sage and i was like “time to doodle these in platanos ‘art style’” when in reality it’s just the mockery of people just getting into an anime art style, with the chin so pointy it could cut a cake

i might reread my old writing from 2018. i gotta agree with the judges for that year i did not write very well

it mightve actually been made in 2017 which would be FUCKIN CRAZY im gonna check rn

yea it was started in 2018. february 14th... huh . finished it completely in june of that year it was 41 pages total and it’s not even double spaced how did i write something without double spacing it

He landed on his face once he was outside of the hat. Meko quickly walked over to the guest room, opened the Portals for Dummies book, and flipped to a page. It looked devious.

Meko did the dance on the page, it consisted of something that looks like it’s from an anime. A portal opened, the familiar scent of bananas and mangoes coming from it. With some hesitation, Meko stepped in. He quickly made it so only his head peeked in.

it wasnt bolded this time but i like it bolded. ok i understand how i added meat it was just shitty expired meat ALKFSJSHDAIUJKFEIODSJAK . it wasnt even that much meat DAMN. it just looked like more.

actually that’s all i will write. i could do more w platano but yea at his base he is a blonde twink who kills people because he wanted a manga but now he’s friends with a dictator. woo! wow. amazing character writing. i cant wait to get motivation to rewrite everything and make platano a good villain (he will still be very interested in anime sadly. idk why around that time i liked making characters who were obsessed with anime i didn’t even watch it much myself. i think it was because i wanted to put capes on them)

Prompt: Your Stephens prodigy and you might have a thing for a certain spider-man (And of course Tony and Stephen are dating because there has to be Ironstrange in this)

Thank you so much for the prompt! I love it, I get to write for all three of my favorite characters! I hope this was what you envisioned!

Pairings: Reader x Peter Parker, Reader and Stephan Strange, Stephan Strange x Tony Stark, Tony Stark and basically everyone, Peter Parker and basically everyone

Stephen wanted nothing more than a relaxing day, one that consisted of meditating peacefully in the sanctity of his bedroom with a book held plainly in his hands and the soft melodies of David Bowie drifting through the air, but was he going to get that? Evidently not

You shattered his plans as you came barreling through his bedroom door, a smile dancing on your lips and the burst of energy clear in your composure “I’m goin out! See you later tonight, don’t wait up old man!” You declared swiftly already moving to bounce out of the room as quickly as you bounced in, hoping to not leave any room for interjections from the Sorcerer Supreme, but of course that didn’t work

His floating back was to you as his eyes never left his book “Out?” You heard the man question, his low voice stopping your movements

“Yeah, out. Like outside, where normal people live and function, not that you would understand” you rambled, your sarcastic tone laying way to a heavy eye roll from Stephen

“I’m gonna need more than that” he briefly declared

You gave a heavy sigh as your body leaned against the door you had thrown open “It was good enough for Wong” you grumbled, trying not to give up the details of your personal life since you knew quite well what would happen if you did

He quirked an eyebrow “I’m not Wong am I?” The man questioned with the reminiscent of a smile

After a few moments of silence, and realizing Stephen wasn’t going to give in you took a deep breath before eliciting for a loud groan “I’m going to go meet Peter over at Stark towers” you spoke, words flowing quickly out of you mouth in an attempt to try and make Stephen not understand you but alas, of course he did

Both eyebrows rose as he finally directed his attention to you “Peter now hmm?” The man began, you knew this was coming

Crinkling your eyes closed you shook your head “C’mon Stephan please don’t do this” you pleaded, already feeling color rush to your face

“Do what?” He questioned feigning innocence as a smile tugged at his lips “I’m just curious as to who hangs out with my little prodigy”

Opening your eyes you stared daggers into him “Well now you know, may I leave please”

He clicked his tongue as his feet slowly hit the ground, already beginning to stride over to you “Not yet” he began “Tell me about this meeting, what is it exactly? What are your intentions with the Spider-Boy and what are his intentions with you?”

About to open your mouth to say something along the lines of ‘none of your business Gandalf’ you shut it again quickly finding a better, more intuitive response, a small smile beginning to form on your own lips “I don’t know Stephan, maybe they’re the same as your intentions with Stark?” You fought back with defiance and a smug look

Stephens cheeks quickly flushed as he glanced down at you, the two of you falling into an intimidating silence. It was quite obvious that your master had a thing for the millionaire engineer, and it was quite funny for you to watch. You knew Stephan and you could see through all his lies of going over to Stark towers for a ‘sparring lesson’ or for an ‘intellectual discussion’, you knew they were much more graphic and intimate than that. Thinking of a way to get back on top Stephan’s flushed cheeks quickly returned back to their normal color “Fine” he began

“Thanks Stephie! Still, don’t wait up-“

But you were cut off by a raise of Stephan’s finger “But I’ll be coming with you”

You quickly lost your smile as you watched the sorcerer, looking for any signs of him just joking but you found none “Ewww why?”

He slowly began to gain back his smug grin as he slipped his sling ring out of his pocket and onto his fingers “To keep an eye on you” he declared “If you two are anything like Stark and I I’ll have to make sure you two never get within arms length” and with that his smile turned mischievous as his hands formed a portal into the middle of Tony’s living room, your face contorting into one of disgust “TMI Steph” you mumbled before grumpily stepping through his portal and hearing it close behind you as he followed after you

With your rather dramatic entrance you were sure to spook Peter whose former relaxing body shot up from the couch he was just lounging on as his eyes rapidly moved to the portal you had just stepped through “Whoa!” He started, a nervous laugh following “Y/N! I thought you said you were gonna walk over” Peter questioned a tug of a smile appearing on his lips all before his eyes landed on the tall figure behind you, Peter’s face slowly beginning to lose color “Mr. Strange!” he said in a voice a bit too startled, his hand beginning to rub the back of his neck

“Dr. Strange” Stephen corrected, which only caused the boy in front of him to fidget more

You offered a sigh in response, taking a step forward as your hand found their way into your jeans back pockets “Well I was gonna” you started, shooting an angry glare at your master who stood smugly behind you “But someone decided to invite themselves to the party”

“I see that” Peter responded, his eyes too afraid to peel themselves off of Stephens before he finally gained the courage, his eyes moving to settle on yours, his whole demeanor slowly relaxing “Well, uh, Dr. Strange did you want to join Y/N and I?” the boy timidly questioned, still unsure on what exactly Stephen was doing here

You moved to answer first “No-”

“-Yes” Stephen interjected as he took a step to stand by your side “I want to get to know Peter a bit more, have a talk with the kid trying to court my little prodigy”

With that you heard Peter choke himself on air alone, coughing loudly, trying to clear his blocked air way

“Court? Really? That’s what you’re going with here?”

“Well it is his intentions is it not?” Strange retorted, his eyebrows raised as his lips rose in a smile, watching poor Peter still feverishly choking “You do like Y/N don’t you Peter?”

Throwing your head into your hands you wished you had never even come in the first place, or at least, never told Strange you were leaving. Wong was definitely your favorite master

“Of-Of course” the boy choked out, his eyes wide as he was uncertain on what to say “I like Y/N a lot”

His words brought a quiet smile to your face, the two of you weren’t exactly dating, not yet at least, but you two had definitely spent intimate moments together, ones that mainly took place at night when Stephan was asleep and you were able to portal over to Peter’s with ease or even have the spiderling sneak into your room at the sanctum. The thoughts began to consume you, the only thing pulling you away from the fond memories was the voice of Strange “And don’t you think it to be smart to have a talk with her master before you make any further advancements towards her?”

“What are you my dad?!” You questioned incredulously, willing the man with your mind to please stop

Waving you off with his hand his attention turned back to Peter “Let the boy answer”

Peter went red at that, the memories that you had just thought of obviously filtering through his head as well. He began to feel guilty for not addressing the Sorcerer sooner, but he didn’t feel too bad because the man was terrifying when he wanted to be “Yea-Yes of course, is that what you wanted to talk about?”

Stephen opened his mouth to reply, loving holding this kid in the palm of his hand when you finally interjected him, trying to put the boy you adored out of his misery “No actually he didn’t, he came here because he has plans with Tony?” you pushed, trying to get the stupid sorcerer away from you

“Maybe Tony could join us?” Stephen suggested, not letting up his own stubborn attitude to make way for your own “I’m sure he’d love to sit down and chat about this relationship as well”

“What relationship?” A new voice interjected, wafting into the room with confidence and humor, the three of you turning your heads to watch Tony stride into the room, his head hung as his eyes gazed upon a blueprint screen in his hands, tapping it a few times before sliding it into his back pocket and pointing his attention up at you “Hermione and Dumbledore!” he says, a smile slipping onto his lips as his eyes filter between the two of you “What a pleasant surprise”

“God this is a shit show” you mumbled lowly under your breath quiet enough to where only Peter could hear, his lips curling into a desperately needed humored smile

“Pete you didn’t tell me we had guests” Tony scolded, directing his attention to Peter who looked like he was about to explode

“Well, to be fair, I did tell you Y/N was coming over later today” the boy responded, his hand returning back to his neck to once again rub it raw

Tony made a few clicking noises with his tongue as he wagged his finger at the boy “Yeah that’s right, you did, something ‘bout a chem test right?”

Peter lit up at that, hoping to get this situation cleared to where he could just take you and disappear “Yeah exactly”

With a nod of Tony’s head his gaze left Peters and turned to Stephan's, cocking an eyebrow at the sorcerer “So then why are you here Dumbledore?”

Stephan was about to open his mouth, probably to say something stupid, but you weren’t about to have any of it “He came to see you” you interjected, giving your master a rather rough nudge, pushing him towards the other man, you knew you’d get yelled at for that later

Tony glanced between you and Stephan, biting down on his lower lip “S’that so?”

Stephan’s eyes went from you to Peter, weighing his options of continuing to mess with the two of you or go to Tony and mess with him. He released a breath he didn’t realize he was holding in before a smile appeared on his lips “It is Anthony” he began, beginning to move closer to the engineer “Thought we could maybe look over some of your new gadgets” he quipped, his smile turning mischievous as you could feel yourself about to throw up

The engineer quickly understood Stephan as he too found himself smiling “Well you’re in luck, I have plenty of new gadgets to discuss” the man responded, nearing closer to the other “C’mon, leave these kids alone and I’ll show ya” he began “I’m sure you’ve tortured them enough with your intense stare and overall presence. Specifically Pete over there who looks like he’s bout to pass out” and with that Tony was tugging at the other mans arm “You’ve done enough for today” to which Stephen gave a nod to and allowed himself to be lead further into Stark towers and into the mans workshop, completely out of sight and ear shot

With the fleeting presence of your master and Tony you immediately turned to Peter who was both confused and terrified as you began to laugh at the whole situation “Oh my god I am so sorry”

His composure slowly began to relax once more as he listened to the melodious sounds of your laughter, letting out a few chuckles himself he neared closer to you “Should I even ask about what just happened?”

“I barley know myself” you responded truthfully, finally being able to give the boy a genuine smile that filtered all the way to your eyes

A calming silence steadied itself between the two of you before he remembered why this mess had even started “So chemistry?” Peter questioned, gesturing to his room in Stark Towers

“Yeah, sounds good” you replied, about to walk towards the boys room before you felt his hand on yours

You felt him intertwine your fingers as he pulled you close to himself “I feel like we never even said hi to each other” he admitted while a bashful pink traveled up from his neck, resting on his cheeks

“Maybe that’s because we never did” you reminded, suppressing a quiet laugh that instead formed itself through a lopsided grin

Grinning himself he reached for your other hand, curling his fingers in between your own before he began to swing both of your hands childishly. The two of you started at each other for a moment, his eyes losing themselves in your own, his thumbs drawing soothing circles on the backs of your hands. It wasn’t anything special but it made you feel safe, your hands secured by his own as he gently lowered his forehead to rest against your own, his hot breath tingling every fiber in your entranced body “Hi” he mumbled, barley audible, a dopey smile spread evenly on his face

Giggling quietly you cutely scrunched up your nose and hummed peacefully “Hi”

You didn’t know who released hands first, one set of intertwining fingers leaving each other to place themselves somewhere else on each others bodies, Peter’s now free hand settling perfectly on your waist as your own drew itself up to the nape of his neck, your fingers curling themselves into the baby hairs that settled themselves in his lower hairline “I thought Dr. Strange was gonna rope me into a game of twenty questions and If i didn’t answer something correctly he would kill me” Peter confessed, his lips smiling but his eyes proving that he was pretty scared

“Awe I’d never let him hurt you” you started, squeezing his hand lightly for reassurance “He might be the Sorcerer Supreme but I’m scrappy as hell. Plus Wong would definitely back me up”

The boy laughed at that, any tension help up in the room completely fading between stolen glances and wishful smiles

“You know, I feel like I deserve something nice for being put through all of that” The boy quipped, a lopsided grin transforming his smile

Glancing up at the boy you quirked a brow “Oh yeah? And what do you feel you deserve there Parker?”

He feigned thought for a moment “A medal would be nice, something that said ‘I survived Dr. Stephan Strange’” he began, tilting his head down

“Hmm that might take a while to make...would you settle for something else?” you bargained, pleasure apparent in your words

“Like?”

“Like this” and with that you closed the distance as you met him in the middle, pressing your lips together in a long overdue kiss that melted you to your core

The hand around your waist was strong and secure while the other hand intertwined in your own made you feel like you were floating, the way his lips danced along your own was worth the pestering from Stephan, speaking of whom

“Chemistry test huh?” you heard a voice announce itself, loud enough to cause the two of you to go flying apart from one another, heart rate high and nerves on end

“Leave em alone Stephie” Tony grumbled, his own arm around the waist of the sorcerer “I think they’re cute” the engineer confessed as he threw the two of you a wink, color flooding to both of your faces “Besides, you’re no better” and with that Tony did the least expected thing you could’ve thought of as he reached down and slapped the sorcerers ass, hard

Stephan’s face flushed completely white as Tony only chuckled, Peter and you sharing a humorous glance of ‘I don’t know what’s happening but I’m not mad about it’ “Back to the lab Gandalf!” and before anyone else could say anything Stephan basically ran back into seclusion leaving you and Peter alone once more where instead of staying out in the open the two of you floated on to the boys room continuing once more with your ‘chemistry test’

So I went digging through my old Google Drive for my first writing account –before I fully settled into my pen name– and I found a document of a bunch of WIPs I had in the works.

I know ideas can be taken when you post them like this, but like… I gotta share some of my ideas with y’all. They’re honest pretty cool. And if I haven’t come back to this file that was made in 2014 in four years, these aren’t about to get turned into a novel anytime in the future.

Anyways, here’s my favorite ones:

A WIP called Cast Iron Curls that was about three sisters in Texas who were descendants of the Medusa.

A WIP called Secondaries that was about failed magical girls becoming the sidekicks to more successful heroines. It has a first part called Primaries which I can assume was about said magical girls.

My old novella Firewater that was set in an alternate, fantastical St. Louis during prohibition. I remember it had lots of queer characters, including a poly school of dragons as the leads, all of whom worked an underground brewery and speakeasy. You know what… That may still happen. That’s some good stuff right there.

Something called Duplicity that I had planned to be 90k, which is just… ridiculous because I’m not a novelist in the least: I work wonders when I’m under 40k, but over… and it’s not so good. I lose the thread. Cool name though.

Once more, a kind of cool name: Girls Above the Lateral Horizon. It was probably queer, and in space!

A short story set in a fictional city in Missouri where all the girls have tree themed names. College students are getting kidnapped by the fae, which oddly mirrors my current project. Kinda interesting though, and meant to be under 10.5k.

A WIP called The Waystation that focused on the idea of QuickTrips –a chain of convenience stores for non-Americans– being portals to the fae realm. I believe it.

As I said, I doubt any of them will ever come to more than a few thousand words past me wrote, but it’s interesting nonetheless, isn’t it? I wonder what I was thinking four years ago when I decided a lot of these: certainly something must have struck me to create these WIPs. Who knows?

I do think the me of four yeas ago would be proud to know that my ability to decide a project and take it from WIP Hell is much, much better.

Anyways, back to writing what needs a few thousands words, heh!

Dark's Heart (part 2)

The next day it was all over the internet, the picture of you booping Dark's nose. People had taken a video of you when you talked to Dark and posted it that day. A lot of people commented that you provoked him and some said you must be really brave enough to talk to Dark like that. Google goes through the comments in the video and the ones for the photo of you booping the nose. "This is really trending right now from the community." Google looks at the three screens looking through the comments. His brothers are also looking it up on other social media outlets. Dark is standing in the room with them, hands behind his back watching them work.

"This is humiliating." Dark does not look pleased as he notices Yellow found so many gifs of the boop on Tumblr. He woke up to the sound of Willford laughing so loudly and he bursts into Dark's room to show him the photo. From there Dark called the Googles and made them search it immediately. "What do the comments say?"

"Some find it funny, then we have others who find it rude for some reason, the ones who say "who do they think they are", and those praising their bravery." Green saids. Red snickers, "I like their style." That gave him a dirty look from Dark. "I don't like that some of the people are being rude. I don't think they did anything wrong.", Yellow saids looking at some hate comments. Dark looks over Yellows shoulder and reads some. Some were pretty rude and some were just childish jabs.

"They should have thought of that before doing anything." Dark saids. He looks at the picture of you with him. He is still curious about you then shakes it off thinking why would he want to know about you. "Look someone found out who they are." Green saids. Google pulls it out to a bigger screen, sure enough there you are in a photo. "Some of these fans are relentless... kind of scary..." Google saids. Dark looks at your Facebook profile, "So (Y/N) is it. Hmmmm"

"Should we do something about this?" Google looks up at Dark. Dark is usually in charge making some calls when it comes to things like this. The Googles go through online for anything going wrong in the community. They cant stop hate comments since more would come but they do make an effort to stop some bullying to the fans. In this case it was people wanting to know who you were after the event, the really intense ones. Dark was more concerned over his image rather than you but he does for some reason think of how you feel about this. "I suggest just to keep people from looking into (Y/N) for now. Mark would not want them to feel targeted, like I care they did this to themselves." , Dark said. The Googles get to work on it and within a minute they are able to hack the internet together to get your page protected. "There crises averted. And while you are at it delete what happened that day." Dark commands. Google looks up at Dark from his seat, " Dark that would take at least five hours to do even with all of us working on it..." Dark just gives him a look and Google turns around and starts deleting.

Dark leaves the computer room where all the Googles work at and heads to the kitchen. He gets some water and Willford comes up from behind him. "Well well who knew there was someone out there who wasn't going to take your shit. Besides me of course." Dark drinks his water and looks at Will, "They were foolish to do so. It got them targeted by some fans." Willford shrugs, "You know sometimes there are those too intense fans. I mean some of them still say mean things about Amy." Dark thinks about the situation. He thinks about what you said to him. He thinks abut how you just smiled at him even when he was threatening you. Dark didn't know what to think of you, a fooling person or someone who was trying to get to him. Did you know that someone was most likely going to film them and take pictures? Were you looking at the aftermath and what were you thinking about it? Dark thought of this curiously then just took his cup and started to go to his office. "Well anyone who doesn't give care what you say is good in my book!!!" ,Willord yells at you laughing.

Dark goes to his office. He makes Google allow him access to your Facebook page. He looks through it, he sees pictures of you with some friends, some with family. He sees you being goofy and make silly posts about things you are doing. The things you like and dislike, your favorite things like color, season, shows, movies, books, and music. He sees you posted a new photo of you in your new Dark shirt smiling. the post read you had a good time and that Dark wasn't as bad as people say he is. Dark sees comments instantly piling up, some were asking if you were crazy and others nice boop. Dark chuckles when you post a comment ignoring the mean comments and answering to the friendly ones. "You are an interesting one. Taking the high road aren't we?"

You are at home looking at your laptop. You see some hate comments but scroll past them. Although you were puzzled when some of the people sending some bad messages on other sites you have an account are being deleted suddenly without you doing anything. You already read a few and some were pretty nasty like you only wanted attention or you were just trying to act badass when you were not. It didn't matter to you but the constant mean comments did annoy you, you were just trying to have fun. Then you laugh at how Dark just looked up at you surprised. He has probably never heard that from anyone before by the look of it or someone didn't have the guts to tell him to his face. "First time for everything." You say to yourself. You get up and decide to head out for a walk.

You walk to a park and sit on a bench looking around. You see some families playing around, joggers pass by, couples laying on the grass or under a tree, and some children in a playground far off. It is a nice evening out and you take in the fresh air. A breeze comes in and you love the coolness of it taking a deep breath. Then you hear a group of footsteps behind you coming closer, "Hey your that one from the event." A girl looks at you annoyed. You turn around in your seat to see two girls and three guys giving you a judging look.

"Ummm can I help you?" You tilt your head at them.

Girl one flips her hair and looks at you mad. "Are you serious? You totally made us look bad."

You are confused raising an eyebrow, "I don't understand." Guy two answers, "You showed we were being a bunch of babies because we didn't go up to Dark."

"Yea whats up with that? You think your cool or something?" Guy one said.

You notice girl two has her phone out, "Are really recording this?" Girl two huffs, "Its live so people can see your actually a dork and all talk."

You stand up, "Umm look guys I didn't mean it to look like that. I was wanted to meet the guy, I was looking forward to the event just like anyone else. So can we just get past it? I got to go now." You start to leave but then girl one takes your arm.

"What's the hurry? We just want to talk or are you too good for that now your some internet star." Girl one saids. You look at the others around you who look like they are trying to block your way. "How unfair are you? Outnumbering me one to five? Come one guys." You say casually, but inside you think I am so screwed.

"Whatever you started it by-" Guy three gets cut off. The area feels cold suddenly like something ominous is in the air. You feel it and look around and notice that the others look nervous. They start to shiver and feel uneasy looking around like something was going to pop up behind them. The group hears a voice whisper in their ear, "Leave." They all get chills down their spines and run off. You stand there confused not hearing the voice. You still feel a dread in the air. It does not consume you like it did the others that ran but you wonder why you feel this way.

"How are you still here?" You turn around to find Dark standing behind you his hands behind him. "Usually my presence makes people uncomfortable yet here you still stand." He gets up close to you looking you in the eye. "What are you?"

You look back at him and smile. "I'm different that's all."

"So it seems." Dark looks at where the others ran. " You have become quite popular it seems." You follow his gaze and sigh, "Yea I guess so. It sucks to be honest. I didn't know just being me was going to end up like this."

Dark raises an eyebrow at you, "So it wasn't for the attention. What was your purpose then?" You look at him studying him for a moment. "Nothing. Just wanted to let you know I like your character. That's all." You then realize something, "How the heck did you get here?"

Dark shakes his head. "For someone who is suppose to be a fan of mine you don't know what I can do." You just shrug, "Am I suppose to know everything?" Dark rolls his eyes. "I can go where ever I please through a dark portal as long as I picture where I want to go." You look at him eyes big, "Really that is so cool. That must make traveling so much more easier for you. Wait if you can do that then how do you know I was here?"

Dark takes out his phone. "The Googles were keeping an eye on how your little stunt was progressing in the community. They saw that someone had found you and was filming you via live trying to possibly hurt you. So here I am." You laugh, "Wow the Googles can do that? Nice.." Then you think of why did Dark show up. "Not that I am not grateful for you saving the day and all, I thought it would have been Silver instead, but why did you come here?"

"I came because my stupid creator would throw a fit knowing a fan was being harassed and I rather not deal with that, its annoying. Besides..." Dark leans into you his face inches from yours making an evil smile. "If anyone is going to make you miserable its going to be me... You owe me and now I am going to collect my payment."

Rude Awakening, Chapter 1

Aaand, after some delays preventing me from getting it here, here’s a chapterfic. It’s a crossover of Pokemon and Fire Emblem Awakening, and has ties to not only the Yangverse but some RP shenanigans of mine involving both franchises. Knowledge of Fire Emblem is nice but not strictly required due to the characters explaining stuff along the way. Anyway, to start off, Chapter 1, where Palkia gets some weird vacation ideas.

Chapter 1: Off The Clock You'd expect picking a vacation spot would be easier for the goddess of space, Palkia thought. Unfortunately, it wasn't, for the vacation spots were ones a bit out of her comfort zone in that regard: Alternate universes, ones mostly heavily displaced from the ones she sometimes casually visited. It didn't help the guide to said multiverse she was reading had various terrible jokes and memes scrawled in it by a certain brother of hers. She groaned and looked up to gaze around said brother's home dimension, looking among the black and purple haze and the chunks of off-looking earth with off-looking plant life until she spotted Giratina in his Origin forme, idly hovering and levitating a Nintendo 3DS he was playing before him. Knowing her space-bending powers would probably be affected by the nature of the place, Palkia spread her wings and summoned a jet of water to propel her to a chunk of the off-looking earth near where her brother was idly floating to wave the book at him, scowling. "Hey! Giratina! You agreed to help here!" Giratina turned his attention away from the video game to address his sister. "Ooh, right, the vacation! What's it for again?" Palkia sighed and shook her head. "We're trying to cheer Dialga up!" "Isn't bro too stuffy and busy for a vaycay most of the time?" Palkia paused, then looked away. "It... Hasn't been that long since... What happened with Cyrus. I see him more than you do. As much as he tries to hide it he's still really upset over it." She turned back to him with a still-despondent look."And... Well, we both already owe you, that kid, and Cynthia big time for stopping him... But you know the multiverse better than I do, so I wanted you to help me pick a fun spot. So we could both cheer him up." Giratina paused, then nodded somberly himself. "Good point... We could all try to find a place to chill after that..." He then promptly turned back to his game. "Just let me get to a spot where I can save..." "Alright, then-" She took a closer look at the game he's playing and scowled. "Hey, wait a minute!" She snatched the game and system from him. "That's my copy of the latest-" She paused, stared at the game for a few seconds, then snapped two of her claws together and grinned. "That's it! We give Dialga one hell of a theme vacation!" Giratina stared at her in confusion. "Why would we want to take him video game shopping?" Palkia smirked. "A bit deeper than that, dear brother." She gestured to the eldritch space around them. "Your little... abode ties into all sorts of other worlds! Now, not even we know exactly how many are out there, but likely millions, trillions, quite possibly an infinite number of 'em! And if there are that many, well, some might just very well be kinda familiar..." She points to the 3DS's screens. "...But that's more your department. Can you find out if there's a universe anything like the thirteenth and newest installment of my favorite strategy game series?" Giratina blinked and stared a good while before responding. "Um... Lemmie try something." He soared off further into his realm until he was a speck in the distance, leaving Palkia to stand impatiently and cross her arms to stare after him a while. Eventually, Giratina returned levitating a small rectangular device in front of him, using the points of the tentacle-like structures on his back to tap it carefully. Palkia eyed the device quizzically. "Is that… A Sliphpad?" "Yup! State of the art. Use it for keeping track of all the really out there universes as well as the closer-to-home ones." Palkia glanced at the book she was holding then at Giratina irritably. "Why'd you give me the musty guide with all your doodles in it then?" "Hey, don't diss my modern art." Palkia flung the book at Giratina's head. He didn't notice as it bounced off of one of his facial plates, but he did notice something on the screen he quickly tapped a tentacle to and levitated toward Palkia for her to look at. "Is this it, sis?" Palkia grumbled as she took the Sliphpad, expecting Giratina to have found a world closer to Dragonite Quest or Last Legend or, if she was lucky, a previous game in the same series as the one she wanted, only for her own eyes to light up upon seeing she was wrong. "This… This is it! It's pretty much it! I can't believe I'm saying this, Giratina, but you're a genius! Thank you so much!" She embraced her more serpentine brother, who reciprocated with his three sets of tentacles. After the hug was broken, she bounced up and down excitedly on her large feet, her claws clenched and her long tail thumping the ground in excitement. "This is gonna be great! We're gonna take Dialga on vacation there and all have a blast, and he's gonna be so much happier and we just need to think up some good disguises and get access to -" She froze in place mid-sentence, then scowled, tapping her foot. "Great. I just realized there's one particular obstacle to getting the resources." Giratina gave her a puzzled look. "...Um, we're Legendaries? We can just get 'em however?" Palkia sighed and put a claw to her forehead. "...Problem is that "however" involves one particular other Legendary." ---------------- "So... let me get this straight, space babe." Palkia's eye twitched at that particular moniker from the small, grey-and-pink creature with gold hoops before her and Giratina within a quiet forest grove, but allowed him to continue. "You want to take your bro on vacation to a fancy swords 'n sorcery universe to cheer him up after that Cyrus guy tried to push the reset button on the universe, and honestly, I don't blame ya!" said Hoopa. "Some asshole trying to do that has gotta rub you guys the wrong way." He then raised an eyebrow. "That said, why do top-tier deity Legendaries like you guys need into... The Stash?" Palkia sighed. "Hoopa. Everymon knows you are the ultimate hoarder. Your pocket dimensions are filled to the brim with the sorts of things we need for this fantasyland vacation we can have easy access to anytime, so we're gonna need you to tag along." "Plus, if I screw with your pocket dimensions enough I can let us get to the wifi and stuff back home!" said Giratina. "Can't forget the essentials." "...What he said too," said Palkia. Hoopa tapped one of his mitt-like hands to his chin in thought for a bit before looking to the other two Legendaries and nodding. "...Alright then. You guys are the bosses. Plus, If you wanna cheer your bro up that bad that's a hell of a nice thing to do. I guess I can let you in on The Stash for this little trip of yours." He then smirked a bit. "...On three conditions." Palkia scowled. "Figured. What do you want, you greedy little djinn?" Hoopa's smirk grew wider. "First, all use of the Stash is under my supervision." "Okay, that's fair enough. Next?" "Second, I actually want in on this vacation, not just to be some sort of luggage carrier. And if it helps on your end I'll at least try to help cheer your brother up." "Also fair enough, what's the thi-" Hoopa made a gesturing motion with one of his hands as his smirk morphed into an outright mischievous grin. "...Bottle." Palkia's scowl likewise grew more intense. "You know full we-" "Deal's a deal." "Just roll with the dude, sis," said Giratina. "...Fine," said Palkia, "but keep an eye on him." A rift in space opened, which she quickly dashed through. ------------ In a Hoenn Pokemart winding down for the evening, a lone employee stood idly lost in thought as he waited for his manager to bring his paycheck, only to hear a voice in front of him. "Yo!" He blinked and turned to see a young, pink-haired, red-eyed woman in pink and white clothing - he noted her t-shirt had characters from the TV show Valiant Knight Skarmory on it - giving him a doe-eyed look that to the worker seemed a tad too innocent. "Hi there! Let me guess, you were working the night shift one night some time ago?' "Erm, yea-" "And this crazy old man came in and robbed the place?" "...Y-yeah?" "And then he gave you this bottle and made all these oh-so-creepy mutterings about this Hoopa Pokemon whose power would be unsealed for three days if you opened it but when you did nothing happened and it was all like, to use the phrasing of one of my brothers, two spoopy four you?" "H-how-" "And you've just been oh so dearly hoping you can find some passerby you can feasibly pawn it off to so you don't have to deal with it anymore?" "U-um..." The woman extended a hand. "Gimmie." The man quickly pulled out a strange purple-grey-and-gold bottle and plopped it into her palm. "Thank you sir, have a nice day!" A rift in space opened next to her, which she darted through just before it closed and vanished. The man simply stared blankly a good while after. "...I need a raise." ---------------- Palkia quickly emerged back in the grove where her brother and Hoopa were, her more natural form and scowl quickly returning. "Found it." Giratina blinked. "How'd you find it so fa-" "The 'pay a guy to act like a creepy hobo and pawn it to some nobody' trick is losing its luster, Giratina." Giratina fell silent as Palkia grumbled and popped open the bottle. Immediately a sparking haze of black energy emerged and swirled around Hoopa, and he laughed maniacally as he grew and grew until the haze dispersed to reveal a towering, six-armed, monstrous version of himself. "Yes! My true power! And I know just what i'm going to do with it first!" He created six portals from his hoops and reached through them with all six arms to pull out countless boxes of donuts of various brands. "Hey!" Said Palkia. "You're supposed to help us with-" "Aye, space babe, hold up! Getting my true form back works up an appetite!" He promptly used all six arms to shovel the donuts into his toothy maw and toss the boxes away, let out a resounding belch, then turned back to the two dragons before him. "Alright, appetite sated, I'm ready. What are we gonna need from The Stash for this little renaissance affair?" Palkia's expression became more passive as she put a claw to her chin. "Hmmm..." -------------- In a dimension dominated by an omnipresent blue haze and teal, diamond-like, crystals of various sizes floating through it, Dialga was peaceably reading a book - a long one, he needed it to keep his mind on it for long. He flipped to one page, blinked at something scrawled in the corner, and groaned. "Giratina, must you leave your mortal innuendoes and cultural crude jokes everywhere?" It was right then he heard a voice from behind him."Bigger question, bro, you ready for us to rock your world?" Dialga stiffened with an annoyed expression and turned around. "Please tell me you weren't stupid enough to replicate a certain-" He blinked to find not only Giratina, but Palkia and Unbound Hoopa standing together before him, standing under a banner that said "VACATION TIME!" With a strange teardrop-shaped sigil Dialga didn't recognise below it. "...Alright, what are you three up to?" "We're up to cheering you up by going on a multiversal vacation!" Said Palkia. "Sis got a crazy idea for the theme," said Giratina. "And it only took just under three days for us to get most of the stuff read-" said Hoopa. Suddenly a mass of black energy dispersed from him and entered someplace on Palkia's person, reverting him to the form of a small, poltergeist-like creature. "...Scratch that, exactly three days," said the now-Confined Hoopa. He made another beckoning gesture to Palkia, who wagged a claw back in a scolding fashion. "Ah ah. You're gonna need to be small and innocuous-looking for part of this." "And what exactly are the fine details of "this"?" said Dialga, scanning the other three skeptically. "Well," said Palkia, "You - and really, all of us - could use a load off after... the Cyrus incident..." Everyone grew silent. Dialga stiffened a bit but allowed Palkia to continue. "...But me and the others found a good way to do so!" Said Palkia. "Go on a theme vacation to an out-of-the-way universe and have fun incognito with the locals to let off steam better than Volcanion does!" "Erm," whispered Hoopa, "Knowing Volcanion personally, if you take what you just said metaphorically it totally works,but more literally not so much since she can get kinda-" "I know, stick to the script!" Palkia whispered back. Dialga just stared awkwardly until hesitantly continuing. "...Go on?" "Well," said Palkia, "Giratina and I found a universe just like the thirteenth, newest game in my favorite strategy game series! And Hoopa here's gonna join the ride and let us all have access to local niceties while we're at it!" *"We'll go incognito, chill with the locals, relax, have a good time," said Giratina. "It'll be perfect!" "And I've got all we need to keep access to conveniences back home!" said Hoopa. "It's a win-win situation!" Dialga looked at them all, conflicted, before sighing. "All of you, I appreciate the effort and" - he paused - "concern. But this sounds rather risky, especially given things have gotten iffy via Palkia getting me too deeply into her interests in a less literal fashion. Remember when you tried to get me to read that Home-whatsit comic, sister? I had to drown my sorrows in Giratina's alcohol over all the convoluted meddling with time in its narrative!" Palkia frowned and raised a claw. "Okay, that was an exceptional case, yet I get why you're wary. But me and Giratina found a spacetime coordinate in this universe that'll be totally fine." "How?" said Dialga. "Doesn't that strategy game involve war? We can't barge in on another universe and commit wanton murder on the locals!" "That sweet spot Palkia mentioned is an era of peace, bro, just long enough for a good cooldown," said Giratina. "...Era of peace?" said Dialga. He turned his head away and thought a bit before turning back and nodding. "...That does, in fact, sound nice." He frowned again. "But abandoning our posts here might cause complications, especially so soon after a disruption..." "Well first," said Palkia; "we're not Legendaries from some human fantasy novel that go poof if no one is around to clap their hands and believe, You know we're made of tougher metaphysical stuff than that. We can leave and come right back in a spacetime sense just fine. And just to make sure, Hoopa can help us keep an eye on things back home." Dialga paused, then lowered his head and closed his eyes a bit before looking up and smiling. "...Very well. This vacation could be just what we all need." Palkia pumped her claws. "Yes! Thank you, Dialga, you're going to love this! We're going to love this!" "Alrighty then!" said Hoopa. "Now the multiversal getaway is a thing, we gotta get the disguises ready!" Dialga eyed him oddly. "Disguises?" Hoopa grinned. "Newsflash, Timeasaur! Me and your sis teamed up on the filthy cosplaying and LARPing bit!' ---------- The four Legendaries, all but Hoopa having assumed human forms, were gathered around four of the latter's pocket dimension hoops, all going over a book together with Palkia. "OK, to start I think I'll demonstrate what we're going for..." said Palkia. She hopped into the hoop-portal and emerged a few minutes later wearing a distinctly flamboyant dress-like outfit themed around her more natural dragon form, complete with a long staff that had the Lustrous Orb embedded atop it. "Ta-da!" Dialga raised an eyebrow. "I thought this was a universe stuck in the medieval period, not one of your human magical girl shows." Palkia huffed and waved her staff at Dialga. "Not so fast. I'm a Valkrye, I've got a balance of healing and offense magic. Granted, latter for self-defense, but still." Dialga tilted his head. "So this is one of those character class things?" Palkia smirked. "Exactly." "Ooh!" said Giratina, balling his fists excitedly, "What do I get to be?" Palkia grinned. "Found a perfect one for you, Giratina..." She flipped the book to a new page and presented it to him. "Dark Knight!" "Ooh!" he said again, his red eyes giving a rather off-looking sparkle, "Is this like that one Gligarman movie?" He struck a dramatic pose. "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the vil-" Palkia quickly frowned. "Not quite right either, you've got a lot of both physical and magical power and can still take a hit." Giratina blinked. "Oh, that's cool too! Lemmie get mine on..." He ducked into his own portal and emerged in plate armor themed around his own natural form, complemented with a sword adorned with a Griseous Orb on its hilt. "Ready to kick ***!" <OK, wait, if you guys are all putting on human suits for the locals, how do I get in on that?> said Hoopa. Palkia raised an eyebrow. "You likely have something in that "stash" of yours... " Hoopa placed a mitt-like hand to his chin and thought a bit before his eyes widened. <Wait! There's that one armband doohickey, hold on!> He jumped into his hoop portal and emerged shortly after as a scrawny, bronze-skinned youth, more teenager-ish in looks than his fellows, with pink hair tied back in a ponytail. "Geez, I dunno how you guys are so used to the whole funny looking monkey gig, such weird spindly legs..." He shuddered, then turned to Palkia. "But I'll live with it for this. Speaking of which, what do I go as for this whole LARPing session?" Palkia smirked and turned the pages of the book to a page she held up for Hoopa to see. "Trickster." Hoopa looked and grinned. "That's my style." He lept through his portal again and emerged wearing clothes themed around his confined form that seemed a paradoxical combination of jestery and roguelike. "Ready to role!" He turned to Dialga. "Your turn, vacation boy." Dialga put a hand to his chin and thought, then turned to Palkia. "May I see the book?" Palkia handed it over, with Dialga immediately flipping through it until he came upon a particular page and grinned. "Perfect! This "Manakete" class suits me nicely." Palkia raised an eyebrow. "The dragon one?" "Yes! It'll let me assume my natural form while still blending in!" Palkia scowled. "Hey! You may be vacation boy, but no cheating!" She smiled and flipped to another page in the book. "How about a Taguel? Turns you into a critter other than a dragon, good for variety, huh?" Dialga looked a bit before nodding. "Acceptable." "Great! Can I have your Adamant Orb?" Dialga hesitantly handed it over before Palkia and Hoopa whispered to each other, she dived into his hoop, and emerged with the Adamant Orb emitting a strange glow. "Here you go!" Dialga warily took the orb back and gasped and shuddered a bit as his human ears grew much longer and floppier in shape and excess blue hair sprouted in several places on his body. "What just-" "I tweaked it a bit to let it serve as your Beaststone. It'll let you shift between what you are now and your more beastial form. Though for this form you should get that armor you saw in the book on." Dialga blinked, but hopped into his own hoop anyway, and hopped out in armor that was, like his fellows, themed around his more natural form, but in his case form-fitted around his upper arms, lower legs, waist, and chest with no noticeable weapon. "I... believe I am ready." "OK!" said Palkia. "I think our usual human monikers will work here." "Valentina for you, Howard for Giratina, and Quentin for Dialga, right?" said Hoopa. Palkia smiled. "Yep." Hoopa smiled back. "Call me Bartimaeus then." "Fine by me. Everything we need packed in The Stash already?" Hoopa nodded. "Yep." Palkia turned to Giratina and grinned. "Gratina? Rev up that portal." Giratina grinned back to spread his hands in front of him and summon a large, distorted portal with a bright light emerging from within. "So we're going?" "Ayep!" said Hoopa. "You bet," said Palkia. "But Giratina?" "Yeah sis?" "No flirting with the locals." Giratina raised a finger to object before Palkia cut him off. "Of any gender or species." Giratina grumbled, and crossed his arms as he followed the others into the portal. ***

My take on a Venom movie - Agent Venom, Lovecraftian Themes, Agents of SHIELD Crossover

Ever since he was introduced in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man, Venom has been a fan-favorite Marvel villain/anti-hero. The character made his big-screen debut in 2007′s Spider-Man 3, being played by actor Topher Grace. His depiction in the third part of Sam Raimi’s trilogy was one met with backlash from fans who loved the character, seeing as his arc felt very rushed due to an already-convoluted story.

Ever since then, a Venom movie has been stuck in development hell over at Sony Pictures. During that time, Sony rebooted the Spider-Man movies with Andrew Garfield playing the web-headed hero and then, through a deal with Marvel Studios, allowed Spidey to appear in the third Captain America movie (now played by young actor Tom Holland) and officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, teaming up with Iron Man himself in his first MCU solo movie.

Happy to see that sweet cash from success again, Sony Pictures was quick to announce a new movie starring Spider-Man-related characters Black Cat and Silver Sable, and also revive that Venom movie idea, even casting the wonderful Tom Hardy as the symbiotic villain.

Now, what everyone’s worried about, is the fact that it’s not clear if those movies will be part of the MCU. Some argue that they could work like the ABC and Netflix TV shows, where while they do happen in the same universe, they tend to stick more to their own plots, or maybe Sony is just going crazy and willing to make a whole different universe to play with (the so-called “Sony Marvel Universe”). I think it will be like the TV shows, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Regardless, here’s a little of my opinion on how they could make an interesting Venom movie without Spider-Man (oh yea, did I mention they don’t want to have Spider-Man in the movie? Yeah...):

Firstly, make it based off Agent Venom, but instead of being Flash Thompson, make the evil symbiote’s host the original Venom, Eddie Brock.

When the Venom symbiose was acquired by the U.S. government, they gave rise to a new super-soldier project called Project Rebirth 2.0, seeking to bond the now-tamed alien symbiote to a soldier. That soldier was, of course, veteran Flash Thompson.

Now, I know this isn’t classic Venom, and I know that some people don’t like him that much. And also, that’s supposed to be an older Flash Thompson! So what the hell!?

Well, Flash Thompson is still a teenager in the MCU, so I don’t want him to turn into Venom... yet.

Recently, Eddie Brock, much like Flash, has been working with military forces and even on a recent Carnage comic book series, he was there to help take down his long-time rival Carnage who was trying to awaken a Lovecraftian elder god who just so happens to look like a giant symbiote. And guess who’s rumored to be the villain of the movie? Yep, Cletus “Carnage” Kasady.

I think Eddie Brock, in this universe, could take the role of a veteran U.S. soldier, willing to take part in a super soldier program. He bonds with the symbiote, and he becomes Agent Venom... with no Spider-logo since he has no connection to Spider-Man.

The plot of the movie would be very inspired by the most recent Carnage comic... the one I mentioned before where he tried to awaken an elder god...

In the movie, the U.S. military would find not one, but two alien symbiotes the inside a cave from a distant island. They captured them and decide to first test the more agitated one in a convicted serial killer called Cletus Kasady, thinking that if the alien proved itself too much for the psychopath’s body and killed him, it wouldn’t be much of a ploblem since it was a serial killer and all.

Cletus goes even insaner, and breaks out off the U.S. facility he was being kept, hearing a mysterious calling in his mind, louder and louder... a call to awaken the elder god Chthon.

To do it, he must acquire a book called “the Darkhold”. Written by Chthon himself, the book is Marvel’s version of H.P. Lovecraft’s “Necronomicon”, a tome full of forbidden knowledge that can make the weak-minded go insane. Thanks to the already-insane and blood-thirsty mind of Carnage, was can read the contents of the book and summon Chthon in the island where the symbiotes were found.

That book is already a part of the MCU, having made its first appearance in the fourth season of Marvel/ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

The season involved people using the Darkhold to acquire powers, and Ghost Rider. As of the end of the season, the whereabouts of the book are unknown. I think it would be fine to think that the books is still somewhere hidden on Earth, and a fight against its current guardian could happen in the movie, finally giving us that movie-TV tie-in.

Agent Eddie “Venom” Brock, who can sense a little of Chthon’s calling and sense the presence of his sibling symbiote, is assigned to get the book from Kassady’s hand and prevent the villain from awakening Chthon.

The movie could also feature Silver Sable, giving us our first introduction to the character before her movie with Black Cat.

It would be implied that the symbiotes are part of Chthon, turning them into Lovecraft-style extra-dimensional aliens.

At the end of the movie, Carnage opens a portal to Chthon’s dimension and almost succeeds in summoning the elder god. The portal is fragile, so it can only take the passage of one individual. A character from Brock’s team, potentially a love interest, sacrifices herself to close the portal, and Brock beats up and locks away Carnage.

After-credits scene shows that some symbiotes arrived on Earth through the portal. Since they’re only parts of Chthon, they managed to pass trough the portal without having it close.

Aaand, that’s it, really. In the future, Eddie Brock could lose the Venom symbiote and it goes on to take Flash Thompson as a host. Flash and Eddie basically swap places in this universe.

Yep, that’s it, I guess.

Twin Peaks: The Return (Part 1)

Some unpolished thoughts after three viewings of the first four episodes released. Needless to say, SPOILER WARNING BELOW • • • • • • • • SPOILERS P O I L E R S Re: Part 1... - The Glass Box in NYC: a controlled portal to otherworldly dimensions? Extraterrestrial or Extradimensional or both or something else more cosmic and metaphysical than we can comprehend. Personally, I see this as a cosmic sieve or filter. Some grand, high tech machine that will catch entities who stumble consciously or otherwise into this carefully laid trap. The catch is fleeting, as there is no way that humans/beings on our level can ever truly hold the visitors glimpsed within the box. It is like a bacteria trying to catch the scientist, at best the bacteria experiences a lovecraftian vision of the scientist which is short but profoundly transformative. - The NYC billionaire has been theorized as Audrey Horne, but I think while that could work it feels grander than that. It feels like it belongs to some larger conspiracy or mystery/secret. I get vibes of Mr. Roque and The Cowboy from MD. - Principal Bill Hastings and his wife Phyllis Hastings are two of my favorite new characters (tbh I loved all the new characters and most of my minor issues were with older characters): Phyllis gave me a particular Catherine Martell Mega Bitch Alpha Female vibe, and Bill Hastings was just a fascinating and mystifying performance...the panic and anxiety he feels is as electric and palpable as any of the grief from the old series. - Cooper says "You follow human nature perfectly." To Phyllis before killing her. Many have taken that to mean she is not a real human or that she is possessed by a spirit etc. I didn't think that at all actually, instead I saw it as his way of saying "you are so predictable" which matches what he then says "This is George's gun." And he then kills her. What I think is that Evil COOP killed Ruth Davenport and framed Bill Hastings for/with Phyllis and George but EVIL COOP has double crossed them and is now framing George for Phyllis' murder (Phyllis and George are having an affair) so even if George isn't arrested for it, it eliminates both Bill and George as possible co-killers. -I think it is apparent by now I loved Tracey (Madeline Zima) and hope she can appear again in the series somehow. - Jacoby and the Golden Shovels. A new business venture that is essentially his Silent Drape Runners, but with similar thematic heft: i.e. Golden shovels relating to themes of mortality as Frost has mentioned before. I don't think the shovels will be extremely vital to the narrative but I do think even if it's just a quirk added to flavor the show, it will be thematically resonant (basically how the Diane podcast gang reads Twin Peaks is the way I like to read all my media, especially twin peaks) - Ben and Jerry scene was fun and I loved Jerry's progression. Also it appears that Ben has maintained his growth from season 2. He has maybe reformed (we still have yet to confirm but it was hinted by his characterization so far and Jerry's comments). - James was always cool. Fuck yea! I have a good time joking about James but I sincerely have always liked him and value him as a character. It pains me to see so many genuinely hate him. - eh this is long enough, I'll continue at a later time

1. What is their home stable in-game? Why?

Mistfall, story wise it’s because the baroness (my character works for her) wanted to start up a vineyard in mistfall and sent my character to manage the day to day operations, but mostly it’s just because I like mistfall.

2. Where do they actually live in Jorvik?

They bought a farmhouse in mistfall after selling their place in silverglade

3. Who is their favorite NPC? (Obvs they wouldn’t be for our characters, but you know)

There are several, Rania, Avalon, Evergray, Ydris, the list goes on.

4. Who is their Soul Steed? What breed are they? Do they have any markings or look different in some way from the in-game appearance you could give them?

For now it’s the black Clydesdale, until they do Percherons. If they ever get around to Percherons its a Black mare with a small white blaze (My irl soulhorse) Mockingbird.

5. What is their favorite location? (Ex, Hollow Woods, Greendale, Silverglade Manor Library) Why?

Wooded areas in general, so mistfall and valedale mostly

6. Who’s their favorite horse? Why?

Assuming you mean npc horse it’s Meteor.

7. What are their powers? Are they stronger with one Circle over any of the others?

She’s not stronger in any circles, but her favorite is lightning. She gets, essentially, less powerful versions of the four soulriders powers. She heals faster and medicines she makes heal better but she can’t just heal with her hands, she gets premonitions rather then full visions, she can open portals in the right places and at the right times but it’s spotty at best, and finally she can electrify items if she’s holding them but she can’t shoot lightning from her hands.

8. What’s their usual style? Any favorite tack sets or color themes for them?

Western and dark brown/black for color

9. Thoughts about Jorvik City? How do they feel about Rania’s petition for a horse-friendly Jorvik City?

It’s big and noisy and crowded, she’s got anxiety so she hates going there. She thinks it may not be the best idea, considering all the cars and loud noises.

10. Thoughts about Justin? (I’m sorry, I’m curious, he shows up so much)

She likes him well enough, she feels bad about the part she played in his disappearance and turn to darkness. All she wants is to make it better but she doesn’t know how.

11. How do they feel about the magical horse race at the circus? Did they enjoy being a horse?

She likes it, but she’d rather be turned into a Hawk or a Lion

12. Do they trust the Druids? Or how do they feel about them?

She trusts specific druids, but not the organisation as a whole. She also thinks they take to long to decide things and that they are too cautious. Caution won’t win a war against the brazen.

13. Least favorite NPC?

Not including bad guys, uhh the bobcat girls probably?

14. How do they make their money?

She works for the Baroness makes wine, grows grapes. She gets a monthly paycheck for her work managing the Mistfall winery. She’s also looking to buy half the mistfall winery and become co-owner, since the Baroness doesn’t get down to the mistfall winery much it would work out much better that way.

15. How many horses do they own?

Quite a few, I’m not going to count.

16. How many pets do they have? What kind? What are their names?

None if you don’t include the horses.

17. How do they feel about the Soul Riders? Do they trust them? Feel like an outsider? Are they closer to some over the others?

She trusts the Souls Riders, loves them really. She’s finally starting to feel like she’s one of them. She’s pretty close with all of them considering she saved two of them, and has known Alex for a while now.

18. Do they believe something mystical, magical, or otherwise strange really exists in Dino Valley? How did they feel about the leaving of the Kallter and the roar/scream/screech in the Valley?

Yes, but she’s not sure what. That freeze ain’t natural. She’s really worried about the Kallter just leaving like that, but she’s got other stuff on her plate at the moment.

19. Thoughts about Jorvik Wild Horses?

She thinks they’re really cool, she feels like they and her are similar. Not of this world but not of Pandora either, caught in-between.

20. Do you think they are a Wild Whisperer? Or are they just bonded with their Soul Steed?

Wild Whisperer of course, since she’s good with the wild things, especially if those things have a learned distrust of humans.

21. What’s their favorite Jorvegian holiday or celebration?

The more Pagan/Nordic themed ones.

22. What do they think or feel about Pandoria? Have they or do they visit outside of the quests (using the rifts)? If they have or still do, why?

It’s neat cause it’s like somehow the opposite of earth. Like being in the ocean but with air instead of water. She doesn’t visit unless she has too cause it wouldn’t make sense story wise, but she’d love to visit more. She’s real curious about what the ocean life would be like. At first it doesn’t appear like they have, but she’s started to notice a slight glow coming from her old scars.

No. Even if Dark Core was somehow trying to do something good she still hates what they’ve done to the earth and innocent people.

Something unknowable. She wonders if it really cares about dark core, or if dark core really even knows what Garnok is themselves.

She doesn’t trust him one bit. And he can stay far away from her horses. He can order her wine though, thats fine.

She has mixed feelings about it. It’s not natural. But she enjoys visiting both when she feels like being in that season.
