hi everyone. guess who started a new semester of uni and was slapped in the face with 5pm classes <- me. lowkey been wiped, but ! i've got a couple of updates in terms of writing stuff:

my indecisive ass decided to write all the remaining 600 followers events into small drabbles, which will be released soon enough. i'll tag anyone who sent a specific ask in the replies, but. yes.

i'm also still working on that leech b'day fic sobs please bear with me, i promise it'll be worth it :'))

and most importantly: i'm going to launch an event to celebrate twst en's first anniversary !! i'll launch the event on January 20th, though i'm not sure what time yet. either i'll launch it at 12am or 12pm PST, so stay tuned for the official announcement coming soon >:D

Rant (Thought About Edwin Payne Too Much Again):

Edwin may be the best one out of the main four in regards to dealing with his own anger. Isn't that something?

I mean, Crystal is constantly angry and letting it out in ways that hurt others or even herself. Niko gets angry at love and herself and thinks changing her whole personality is the answer instead of facing what she did wrong. Charles, well, duh.

But Edwin. We see him get worked up on episode one until he breaks down, says everything he needs about how the cases matter to him, and accepts the comfort that comes afterwards. From then on I think we don't see him get mad for a good while.

He gets annoyed of course, all the time, but that's just him. Anger, though? I can only remember the second instance being with the Cat King in the forest, shoving the bracelet in his face. Which he was brilliant to do, had every right to, stood up for himself and left.

He takes the anger when it comes, does something about it and lets it go. Something no one else seems to have learned how to do.

In conclusion: Edwin Payne, somehow the emotional role model of this fucked up little group

"are you sure you like it?" you asked rafe for the fifth time, running your hands on your pink dress, trying to get rid of the few wrinkles.

"you look hot as fuck," rafe said as he planted a kiss on the crown of your head and playfully slapped your ass, earning a laugh from you.

"so, remind me again, why do you have to wear pink?" the blonde asked as he sat on the table, a blunt in his right hand, which he lit up "trying to calm the fuck down after the little stunt you pulled," he had explained.

"it's a little tradition felix and i have," you mumbled while retouching your mascara.

rafe rolled his eyes in response.

"can you try to loosen up tonight, rafey? it's important for me that the two of you get along."

you turned to look at him with your best puppy eyes, the kind rafe couldn't ever resist.

he sighed. "i promise to be on my best behavior," you smiled, "as long as he doesn’t touch you, talks to you, or looks in your direction!" he finished off with a grin.

"now let’s get out of here before i change my mind about letting you out in that tiny dress."

a couple of minutes later, you were already at the door of the pub. the scent of smoke and alcohol invaded your lungs, and the pounding music invited you in.

"there she is! over here, love!" lex called for you from the other side of the crowded room, waving his hand to get your attention.

the pet name seemed to annoy rafe, who clung to you possessively as you guided him to the table.

you introduced your boyfriend briefly to the rest of the people there, not that they paid any attention, except for a couple of your closer friends, who got up and greeted him.

felix saw an opportunity when rafe was distracted making small talk with one of your classmates.

he lowered his head to your ear, and you could feel his hot breath on your neck as he said, "you look fucking incredible tonight, not that i can say it out loud, but just so you know."

he winked as he stood straight again, making you look up at him since he was so goddamn tall.

"so, pink, felix? really?" rafe mocked as he pointed at the fuchsia shirt the boy was wearing, matching perfectly with your dress. "what’s that about?"

felix, catching the comment, grinned in response. "come on, mate, not everyone can rock the posh boy look like you do," he said, taking another sip of his beer.

as the night unfolded, felix and rafe engaged in a subtle competition for your attention.

if felix wanted to do shots with you while licking salt off each other's hands, rafe would get extra touchy with you on the dancefloor, placing his hands on your hips and pulling you closer and closer to him, so close that you could feel him.

and when rafe went into a full make-out session with you in a corner, a result of the building tension the two felt while dancing, felix got needy and wanted to take pics with you in your matching outfits. of course, he wanted rafe to take them, so he could stare right at him as he placed his hand on your waist.

he was getting to rafe, and he loved it.

eventually, you all got drunk and returned to the initial table, taking a break from the nonstop dancing and drinking.

the conversation was light between the few people left, and at one point, felix leaned in, his voice low. "you know, you and i should get matching bracelets someday. what do ya think?"

his finger traced imaginary figures in your hand.

rafe, catching wind of the conversation, shot felix a disapproving look. "she doesn't need more bracelets. she's got plenty. all bought by me."

felix chuckled, acknowledging the tension. "easy there, tiger. just a suggestion."

“i need to get some air,” rafe said to you as he got up from his seat.

“you don’t want me to come with you?” you were kinda worried felix’s banter was getting to him.

“no, baby, you’ll freeze,” he stopped you from complaining by planting a kiss on your lips, holding your face with both his hands. after that, he made his way to the outside of the bar.

you didn’t notice felix staring, and you didn’t notice when he went after rafe.

I love it when you guys like all of my posts but sometimes you'll get to the veryyy old stuff and it's so embarrassing cause my art looked SO different and also THE STORY WAS SOO DIFFERENT (I retconned lot of stuff at some point)

But also I'm so glad this comic is finally being posted and seeing old posts getting attention reminds me of how much I've progressed ♡ so that's nice

Carry On Through the Ages (all the way back to Ancient Egypt)

"A Prophesied Rivalry:

This painting, remarkably well-preserved, was recovered from the tomb of a previously unknown and as-yet unidentified woman of significant power, whose rediscovery has fascinated Egyptologists. Historical analysis suggests she was believed to possess a gift for prophecy, and this artwork is very likely an attempt to illustrate one of her visions.

Here, she and her husband are depicted championing their son, who faces an outsider in combat. The outsider is also supported by an enigmatic figure of seemingly great power, foretelling a great struggle between two mighty forces, though whether these forces were meant to be supernatural or more mundane is not clear.

The dog shown, intriguingly, held a place of honor within the family and was found interred in a nearby chamber. The cat's presence, however, remains enigmatic, as the "Cats vs Dogs" reputation cultivated by these domesticated animals today is not something observed elsewhere in Ancient Egyptian artwork. Noted Egyptologists Miriam Blackwood and Theodore Langston have half-jokingly speculated that its inclusion was a mere artistic preference, hinting at the painter’s fondness for cats."

I've always loved Ancient Egyptian art, ever since childhood. I've wanted to do something like this ever since I first read of Baz's ancestry, so @carryonthroughtheages seemed the best excuse to dabble in this ancient art style.

I talked to @monbons about it and apparently the stars and planets were in alignment that day, because she agreed to collaborate with me. She’s created some absolutely gorgeous fiber art to go along with Natasha’s prophecies. And then she surprised me with a Baz doll, because she is amazing. (I love him so much and we are going to look at fashion books together. It’s going to be awesome.)

This is definitely fanart of both Ancient Egyptian art and Snowbaz. Both are worth diving into if you find yourself curious to know more!
