As far as I know, there's nothing about being lefty that prevents you of playing the cello. You can choose to play a left-handed instrument, or learn to play a right-handed one, despite I find that last option kind of medieval. Problem is that orchestras are very narrow-minded about lefties, but the more lefties getting their instruments right, the more possibilities for orchestras to change.

oh that’s quite relieving! I don’t know why people are so… aggressive about that matter. why lefties “can’t” play a violin or a cello with their dominant hands? also its somewhat “unfair” because instruments for lefties are a little bit more expensive than “normal” ones. I suppose that’s what happen when the majority is right-handed. I agree with you. orchestras are narrow-minded in a lot of matters there’s a really interesting article about that. I’ll edit this ask and share it if I found it. there was also the incident with an Asian woman that was supposedly rejected of an audition because she weren’t Viennese and white, I wonder what happened to her and if things where like she stated. I can’t comprehend how such a thing could be that important, but still I’m not European and I don’t know how things work there. oh look I’ve wrote a wall text! this always happens when I answer an ask, haha. thank you for your message.

1. My entire life, I have had my own pet. I’ve had guinea pigs and cats. It was hard going to college because I became emotionally dependent on animals. (Still tough but I’m workin’ on it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

2. I am a ride-or-die for breakfast foods. If a sit-down restaurant offers breakfast, you better believe I will be getting some pancakes.

3. If you catch me without headphones around my neck, just know that I’m either A. Trying to be fancy and look nice, or B. Something is seriously wrong and I’m trying to look serious. I honestly listens to music that much. (The kids at the camp I costume interned for knew not to mess with Miss Elyse when her headphones were gone. 😂)

5. I can’t sleep unless I’m snuggling a pillow. I joke that my bed is a nest because I have so many pillows and blankets around me.
